20 Best Foundation For Large Pores And Textured Skin (2023 Updated)

My go-to foundation! I’ve graduated from always wearing thick full coverage foundation to LOVING a more sheer light coverage foundation! Something to even out my skin tone and cover my redness. This is IT! the shade 102 Fair Porcelain is my PERFECT match! And I love the dewy look, Altho I have combination/oily skin so I mattify it with setting powder.

It doesn’t dry my face out. It doesn’t smell bad, and I love the sunscreen factor because I am so bad at wearing sunscreen like I should! It’s a very affordable drug store brand, and I prefer this over the Clinique and other high end brands I’ve worn.

I have struggled to find a good matching foundation, so when I found this, I stopped looking! It’s the only foundation I wear now! Note: I do NOT like the matte version of this foundation. You can see my review for that, but they are not interchangeable for me.

When I tell you I am obsessed with foundation, I am not exaggerating. I’ve tried so many, high end and drugstore. My last holy grail was Nars Radiant Long Wear in Punjab. The one thing I noticed was that I could use a little and get full coverage, it always felt like it just would sit on top of my skin.

I have never considered Bobbi Brown before, not sure why, but I found a good match W-046, for light medium skin with yellow undertones. The finish is beautiful! I use Elf Jelly pop primer first. I then first tried to apply it with a brush, it didn’t look good.

I then tried a sponge, as that is what I use with my Nars. That took away the coverage. So, I tried my fingers, and that was the trick! I apply with my hands then I build up with a dry beauty blender by tapping/stippling it on my skin.

It’s medium coverage and builds to full. It takes a little bit for it to dry down, but not where it feels like it’s sitting on your skin. I use Bare Minerals compact mineral veil setting powder in Medium Sheer over it.

It wears long for me, didn’t look like it was that dry matte look, it was natural matt, but still radiant, but not dewy. This feels just like skin, for the coverage I get, I can’t believe it feels so light.

It’s a creamy foundation too, not watery. I didn’t look dull in it, it didn’t settle into lines, or exaggerate pores. I purposely avoid the luminous face products because it seem to exaggerate my texture, which is very light acne scaring.

This foundation does a great job at not drawing attention to it, I mostly have scaring on one cheek. I absolutely recommend this to everyone with a similar skin type as mine.

I’m 27 with good skin but with some visible exhaustion and medium (unfortunately visible) pores. Ive used Chanel foundations since I was in high school, then recently switched to Nars when my working mom exhaustion made my skin look a bit dull.

It didn’t help the issue at all. I finally found my match when I switched to Bobbi brown. I’d already used their priming moisturizer and lip gloss, and was pleased to see that I love the foundation just as much (if not more) than my fave Bobbi products.

My skin looks instantly youthful and brilliant – I’m also quite happy with the color spectrum they offer! If anyone were to ever drop the bottle, then post a repulsive photo of themselves bleeding from it, my recommendation would be to take better care of your products.

The glass bottle only adds to the awesome experience of this product, as long as you aren’t sloppy with it or trying to play catch with it. I can’t imagine why anyone would ever purchase a product for their face that comes out of a plastic bottle, but that’s just me! 10/10 would recommend! I think I’ve found the perfect foundation.

I have always struggled finding a good matte foundation becuz I’ve always been VERYYY oily my whole life but this is the one. I’ve never had a foundation match my skin tone so naturally. The foundation rlly stops me from having my face rlly oily (I’m very VERY oily).

What I love about it is that it rlly stops me from being oily for a long time, I wear it to work (8 hours) and by the end of those eight hours my face is still a TINY bit oily but this is the best foundation becuz other foundations (fenty/ urban decay/Clinique) have always gave me leaving work with a very oily face.

And did I mention it’s very light weight…. Like VERY. Out of all the foundations/tints I’ve ever worn…. this is the lightest. (I’ve worn foundation for almost 10 years now) I also struggle with acne and pimple scars and it doesn’t have full FULL coverage but it is very buildable.

And I love how it has spf so that it also helps with the acne scars. Honestly my new go-to foundation for a long time. It’s light, somewhat full coverage, matte and matte FOR REAL and the finishing looks very VERY natural.

I love this foundation. It does not irritate my sensitive skin. (Why or why do cosmetic companies make peach-scented foundation which immediately rules out the many customers who react to fragrance?) It does not cling to dry patches or settle in wrinkles.

It looks luminous and lasts 12 hours. I see some reviewers say it looks cakey. This is a full-coverage foundation, comparable to Estee Lauder Double Wear for oilier skin. If you don’t want a full-coverage look, it is important to prep the skin with moisturizer and primer, and to apply it with a kabuki brush using only small amounts.

I can get a sheer look with ease on my aging dry skin using this method. I wear the lightest shade (. 5) which is usually sold out online at Shoppers, but thought a review highlighting the appropriateness of this foundation for sensitive skin might help other Shoppers online customers who need a darker shade.

It’s taken me decades to realize I’m neutral with cool undertones. I grew up using drugstore makeup and I always looked orange, but I never understood why. I tried MF’s Neutral 2 after uploading my photo and virtually trying on the shades.

It was close, but just a bit too light. The next darker shade in any of the tone families was Cool 2, so I gambled…and won. I’ll say that Cool 2 isn’t super cool, so it works. Coverage is light to medium—I wish it was just a hair thicker.

I’ve used brands that just sit on top of my skin and don’t sink in; and brands that truly sink in and give me the perfect airbrushed finish. MF falls in the middle. I buy MF because with the setting powder, it stays on all day; and I love the clean ingredients and convenience of shopping for it at my local Sprouts store.

I stick with MF for all my cosmetics to simplify my shopping; the setting powder, nail polish, polish remover, eye shadows, and eye pencils are all excellent. In particular, the eye shadow stays put all day, an amazing feat in my experience.

I am having a hard time finding my shade. I tried and used “Try it on” feature and received a color that was dark for my complexion. I reached out to customer service and they were kind to send me a shade lighter and when I received it the color shade did not match my undertones and it was too yellow for me.

I tried using it anyway with my old foundation I use in another brand. Thinking I can mix the two to get a nice blend but it’s not working. Also the product is oily for my skin. I was starting to break out recently.

I really want to like this product considering it’s clean with less harmful chemicals but it’s not working for me. I’m looking to see if there is anyway to donate the foundation and compact I have because it’s a waste to trash it.

VERY ABSORBANT. Please know these have built in SPF and moisturizing Ingredients. When you use these do not skip your moisturizer. Once youb this in you will love the dewy natural feel and coverage. A little goes a long way.

Whether it’s determining your color or the coverage your wanting, foundation is one beauty item a lot of us simply wouldn’t be without. I started using this foundation about a month ago, which has now become my new holy grail! The coverage is very build-able but the finish is flawless without caking on the skin.

The texture is a liquid consistency and apply’s amazing with a beauty blender. With this foundation there has been no flashback nor has it oxidized which is a relief. I have slightly oily skin and I have found Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin foundation wears really well on the skin.

I haven’t noticed any shine appearing until 6-7 hours in. Which for me is impressive. I am normally doing a powder touch up every 2-3 hours. So it’s great for a drugstore item that really goes the distance.

The color selection i find quite warm, there are 8 shades and I have the shade Ivory, it certainly isn’t your typical ivory shade. If your super pale even the lightest shade within the New Zealand market, I think you could slightly get away with using the lightest shade, but only using a small amount.

I literally don’t know where to start with, with foundation. I literally adore this foundation. it’s so full coverage, that it legitimately covers EVERYTHING. any redness, spots, acne scars, texture etc, will be all gone with this foundation.

I recommend this foundation to everyone, as it is so full coverage and because it’s so easy to blend and does not feel heavy in the skin. when it says it’s 24hrs to actually means it. this foundation is perfect for all occasions.

whether it’s for a night out, or party, festival, wedding or everyday makeup look, this foundation will not budge on bit. it looks beautiful on the skin and has a great finish that you’d love. another reason I love it is because of the price.

it’s so affordable, so you simply can’t go wrong. it has amazing quality and I always recommend it to everyone. usually I use filters when taking selfies, but with this foundation a filter is not needed.

I love the BB Skin Longwear foundation so one day I happened to be at Nordstrom and saw this BB powder foundation on display and was curious about it! The salesclerk matched me and gave me a sample to try but the shade she gave me (warm beige) is a little too yellow for my skintone (I wear Beige in the original skin long wear).

After comparing reviews and swatches online, I feel as the colors in this powder foundation run a little more warm and yellow tone. The color not being a match, I can see why the reviews are mixed on this product.

My skin is combo and much drier now as the weather is starting to change here in CA, so this foundation clings to my dry patches. For those with dry skin who happen to like a matte finish, I would suggest moisturizing heavily before applying and/or also using a moisturizing primer beforehand.

I don’t use primer but didn’t apply enough moisturizer to prep my skin when I applied this foundation. Another thing to note is that this foundation just like the name suggests is very powder like which is kind of cool to me.

You have to work quickly as this product does set VERY fast so I would also suggest applying in one area at a time and then buffing it in with a sponge or brush (I used my fingers, NOT recommended). It is long wearing, as it is now past lunchtime and my skin looks pretty decent with no major oils coming through my T zone.

This foundation is also light to medium coverage so if you like heavy and full, this is not it. I do like this product and will go back for another sample but in a different color closer to my skin and try again.

I’m not big on heavy or full coverage these days as I’m getting closer to 40 so this is a nice base for my preference, I’d also say that this foundation did NOT oxidize on me. They are just more warm based shades.

If you are not a person that gets shiny in 2 hours, this is not for you. That’s why it’s filling in your fine lines. I do not feel bad bc dry-skinned ppl get ALL of the foundation attention. Dry skin is a much easier problem to solve.

I apply with a stippling brush. You must shake and roll this bottle up before squeezing. It does dry quickly. I put my cream contour and concealers underneath, then the foundation, then come back with powder baking and bronzer on the contoured areas.

I really do still keep my look very light. I would not recommend trying to blend too much on top of the foundation, although I do put on a cream blush on top. That’s a light blend, not like contouring.

Did not get shiny with this, and I am truly an oily oily person that simply gave up on foundation. I try a new high-end one every year, much to my disappointment. Really does blur pores. I want to stock up on this.

Con: A little bit of a white flashback in dark-background photos due to the SPF. Requires a lot of foundation for one face, due to my application method, but I’m not putting my foundation on with my fingers.

I believe that works better for all foundations, but it turns my natural nails brown right before going out. No way.

This is a hidden gem for oily/combo people. First of all, it does stays all day. Sometimes it moves on my nose, but that’s it. And it’s mask-proof, you don’t have to set it with powder (you can, for example add a bit powder on the t-zone, but it’s not necessary).

It holds cream blushes, bronzers and highlighters alright. Easy and fast to apply (with fingers only!). The probleme most people have with this product is that it clings to dry spots. It can be easily avoided if the skin is appropriately moisturised.

It’s sheer thought. Doesn’t cover much, bit evens your skin beautifully. The colour range is not that good. My Summer shade is Natural (Estee Lauder DW 2N2) amd Winter is a mox of Natural and Beige (Estee Lauder DW 2N1).

Great product, very underrated.

My previous foundation was discontinued rather abruptly and I was scrambling to find a new one. Tried a few and could not find a good color or coverage match for months. Saw a display for this new foundation and tried a mini size–and FELL IN LOVE.

This is the best foundation I have ever used. It covers beautifully without looking heavy like full coverage. The color goes on dark (scared me at first) but blends beautifully and lightens to the perfect shade as it dries.

Stays put all day (except on my chin which I can’t seem to stop touching and wearing the makeup off) and doesn’t oxidize much at all. I have oily t-zone combo skin and starting to age a bit-this foundation makes me look 10 years younger.

It perfects and covers and just looks and feels amazing. It’s perfect.
