20 Best Foundation For Large Pores And Dry Skin (2023 Updated)

I ordered the Absolue BX Liquide Makeup Foundation in Ecru 130 NC about a week ago. I am 70 years old, and this was the foundation recommended online by the beauty advisor. I have applied it with fingers, with a foundation brush, and with my Beauty Blender to try to get the lightest coverage, have tried it over moisturizer and over bare skin – and I still don’t like it.

Far from smoothing out fine lines and imperfections, it seems to highlight every flaw. It goes on very shiny no matter the method of application, although the Beauty Blender was the best for getting it as sheer as possible.

Maybe it’s just a shade or two too dark for my winter–pale skin (I am a fair-skinned, light to medium tone, but easily tanned brunette). To make matters worse, the online advisor also recommended the powder in “Peche” shade, which she said would “give a soft glow.

” In fact, it just added more shine! It is very shimmery. A loose translucent setting powder probably would have been a better choice. “Peche” is nice as a highlighting powder with just a little touch on checkbones, but all over the face, for me it’s a “no.

” The Absolue BX Foundation did stay on all day, and it feels nice on the skin. I have used Lancome products off and on for over 40 years, and this is the first time I have been so disappointed in anything.

Unfortunately due to the epidemic, the store will not take it back, so I guess I’m stuck. Will try the foundation again next summer once I’m more tan, but for now, it’s not the product for me.

I have been using this formula and shade for many years. Lightweight, good coverage, moisturizing but not oily, perfect shade. It has been out of stock for several months at Dillards, Macy’s and even lancome.

com. Now I’m finding out it is being discontinued. I have tried several other formulas by other cosmetic companies and nothing comes close. Lancome did this same thing many years ago with Aquacils mascara.

Never did find a good replacement for that. Please stop discontinuing products that everyone loves.

I have purchased your 40’s kit and am buying the products that run out as I use them. I love all your products cause they actually work! I hate the consumerism marketed overpriced skin care products where the companies only care about making money! I feel so fortunate to have found your determined to deliver high quality skin care line! I can’t thank you enough.

I purchased the facial toner and retinol serum. The toner feels great on my face and helps to smooth out Imy serum. The retinal serum has made the greatest impact on my skin. Initially it did make my face break out, but that’s to be expected.

Over the past two weeks that I have been using the serum my skin is brighter and more evenly toned. I highly recommend both products.

I have used Jane Iredale loose mineral powder for many years because for my skin it is the very best and I have tried others. I use it on my cheeks and nose because I have broken blood vessels and it covers them.

After I put it on , I light spritz water on my face and this sets it. With the loose power it is easy to control the amount you use and never looks heavy or caked on. It is always important before putting any makeup base on to make sure you use a moisturizer on your skin.

My husband uses this loose mineral power on his face as well. It covers imperfections and gives you an even toned look to your face. We both use the color “Satin” and it blend perfectly with our light to medium skin tones.

I only give reviews on products that I really like. If I didn’t think this was the best on the market , I would not waste my time reviewing it.

I’m 68 years old, with lines & wrinkles. This powder does not settle into the lines and looks very natural. For daily use, I use with a Jane Iredale primer & hydration spray, and I can “build” a bit of extra coverage where I need to reduce redness.

When I want additional coverage for special occasions, I use with the primer, then the the liquid minerals foundation, a light coating of this powder & hydration spray. I have tried numerous other “light” coverage foundations and they all settle into the lines in my face which simply exacerbates the appearance of those lines.

As we age, we sure don’t need that to happen! My opinion, this is perfect for older skin.

I really like this foundation, I’ve been using this one for a few years now, as I like the level of coverage & consistency. I’m mid 40’s with some sun pigmentation on my cheeks, so I prefer a more full coverage these days, which I find this provides & lasts all day, while still feeling quite natural.

It’s nicely buildable too, for a more ‘done’ look. Despite it being a full coverage, it doesn’t feel heavy or clog up my skin. I do flit between shades throughout the year & the assistants in store have always been really helpful with samples to help get the right shade.

All in all, for me, it’s a great foundation.

Finding a great foundation is always a quest. I’m almost 70, and there have been very few that have met the mark. For a person with very dry, very sensitive skin, it is almost impossible. But. this foundation is it.

The coverage is sheer to medium, it goes on with no drag, the finish starts and remains soft, and there is no irritation. NII is a pretty good color match for me, but it would be nice if a CII was added.

Because it blends so well, it’s not a big issue. Now, if this brand stays around for a while, I’ll be happy!.

This product is the best of all makeup. My skin has wrinkles and large pores. This makeup is so light and smooth that it seems to make my imperfections less noticeable. It also only needs a few drops to cover my face.

Next time I am going to buy with the moisture added to see how it works. So glad that I found your site.

Love this L’Oréal foundation. It’s great for mature skin no caking in creases & it doesn’t feel like your wearing make-up even though it has a generous coverage.

I am 67 and have a combination skin. I have tried many brands of foundation ranging greatly in price. This is by far the best of them It covers well, doesn’t settle into the pores and leaves a lively dewy finish without looking oily.

Can not believe the price. What a bargain.

HELLO DOLLS! I use this foundation or T. C. E. they are both great and they are both a little different from each other! I have a light/medium complexion, but this set does not come in the in-between colours, so I purchase a set in light and a set in medium, and when I use them I put a little dab of each colour on the back of my hand and mix them together with a toothpick, and, Wella, I have the next best thing to DOLLS light/medium foundation! I find that when I put this foundation on it tends to feel thicker and drier, but once it’s blended in, it’s lightweight and it doesn’t feel like I have foundation on my face! It’s a full coverage foundation that blends very easily and very nicely, and when I use the DOLL Foundation or Buff Brushes I can apply my foundation in about one minute, without missing a spot! This foundation is long-lasting, and I use Smashbox Setting spray so my makeup usually lasts 16 – 18 hours and still look flawless! I think every DOLL should at least try this foundation and the TCE and then pick your pleasure, I assure you, you won’t be disappointed!.

This HydraGel Foundation is my most favorite foundation that I have ever used! I have Rosacea with oily skin, so I do find it a bit too hydrating for me. I skip my moisturizer beforehand and it’s better, but still a touch oily.

I found this foundation to be very light on the skin but with incredible coverage, it covers my Rosacea perfectly without being thick and cakey. For such a thin, light feeling foundation I am amazed every time I use it on how it covers imperections.

No concealer needed! If I do need a bit more coverage in an area I just dab a bit extra foundation on the area. I use the light color. I have a touch of olive undertone and it blends perfectly. I have tried the Hydralux and did not care for it.

The coverage was thinner and wasn’t as great for covering my Rosacea as they HydraGel and it also was felt more oily on my skin. I hope one day Doll 10 produces the HydraGel Foundation in a less hydrating formulation for us oily skin girls.

These sheets are the silkiest softest sheets I’ve ever had and feel beautiful. However I’m not sure as yet whether this is a good thing or not as they feel rather thin and crease easily. I have only used them for a week on my new mattress which has a pure cotton under blanket on it.

I’m finding that the fitted sheet slides up and becomes untucked at the sides. I feel that the sheet isn’t deep enough to allow enough tuck in and the elastic is not strong enough. I’m also finding that my bedding is sliding around and ends up to one side.

Apart from that I must say that the sheets do feel lovely to sleep on but they make it harder to make the bed as I practically have to remake again in the morning. I have some Bamboo sheets that I purchased from a bedding shop and I love them.

They are rather thick but yet have a lovely feel soft feel to them and wash up beautifully and show very little signs of wear even though they are a couple of years old. It is for this reason that I ordered my new Bamboo sheets thinking that they would be much the same but I was surprised when I received them of how different they feel.

This product definitely surpasses all of the other Lanolips products for sure! This is such a nice moisturiser, I love the packaging as you can get every single bit of product out and it is super good value for money!! This is a lovely thick cream that applies really nicely and leaves skin feeling hydrated and protected.

It is also really amazing as a base under makeup! I also used this as my main night time moisturiser and my skin has been great. Would highly recommend to try, I think this would be great for all skin types! Soaks into skin quickly and leaves no oily or greasy feeling.

Would definitely repurchase!.

Love this Kanebo Sensai product. Have used it in one form or another for over 25yrs. Beautiful silky coverage, light as a feather. Not at all drying to the skin, although looks and feels even more stunning when applied over a quality moisturising base.

Unlike any other powdery type foundation out there. In one word. perfect.

On time but 1 of the items has a broken seal. Iv contacted Perfumes of London for refund but it shows that for 8 euros I have to arrange the shipping from UAE back to UK which is not acceptable. Waiting for Perfumes of London clarification.

This foundation feels really nice on the skin, lasts, and doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines, even after 12 hours of wear. It will get patchy under the nose pads of my glasses and sunglasses, although I imagine that any foundation would do that.

It’s quick and easy to blend, even for a foundation beginner like me. The shade is so close to my natural skin tone that I don’t have to worry about it looking weird next to my hairline/in front of my ears, on my neck, etc.

I get the best results using a kabuki brush and both priming and finishing with Fix+. I don’t find that I need setting powder over top, even though my cheeks can be quite oily. It’s also easy to customize the coverage.

The one problem I occasionally have is that sometimes the product settles into a group of large pores I have on my right cheek, although it is only noticeable up close and doesn’t happen all the time.

Priming with Fix+ helps avoid this, as does brushing it on using downward strokes rather than buffing it in in circles, but it still happens on occasion. Overall, a really nice product, and I definitely plan to buy another once this one runs out.

This is a great powder foundation formula compared to other competitors. This powder controls my oil well, long lasting and looks natural while provide medium- full coverage , I don’t have much to cover.

My hair boy issue is that Mac does provide enough golden olive undertones for people with medium deep skin and darker. I was original matched to C7 which is too pink/red, the depth is good but the undertone is wrong.

C8 undertone is perfect but I need the depth of the color to be a little lighter. MAC can you please make color that matches me! I am have warm golden medium -deep skin with a olive undertone. I can make C8 only work if I use a mattifying primer only.

And I have a summer tan. If I use a moisturizing primer than it’ll be too dark, straight up brown. The last picture I have C8 on. The first 2 pictures is my bare face. I inside natural light , and the second picture outside in natural light.

I bought this tonight. Good thing I couldn’t sleep. Courtney had the BEST presentation of MAC cosmetics I have ever witnessed. I have my share of QVC Purchases and usually SK presents MAC but tonight there was time for the makeup artists to actually speak instead of Shawn interrupting as she does and putting makeup over her makeup.

Even the makeup artists complimented Courtney was a breath of fresh air to present their cosmetics. Thank you Courtney. You helped me truly understand MY undertones finally I think I got it right and ordered for the 3rd time foundation that will be flawless.

QVC if anyone is reading this Take Note. look at Courtney she is beautiful and loves makeup and is flawless in her own skin. She represents MAC best in my opinion. Love MAC and very happy I watched the show tonight.

I ordered the shadows and another lip pencil too from Courtney’s recommendation. I never knew those colors went together. She wasn’t in the mirror camera hogging the limelight. It was truly about the customer tonight.

I bought this in the shade warm sand after noticing that a few of my favourite instagram makeup people all used it. Usually I would have tried to match to my skin shade, but i went with this shade instead because they both used it even though they have different skin shades.

So for starters – wow, this shade somehow is perfect for me – it gives you a bit of a tan without looking too dark or anything. Plus, the formula itself is magical. I have tried MANY foundations. Even this year I have tried at least 4 different (MAC, Milk Makeup, Charlotte Tilbury) and this one is by far the best.

It feels natural and light on the skin but is full coverage and light looking. I should also note that I use self-tanner – I would highly recommend this shade unless maybe you are very pale. It is a steep price tag but worth it if you love makeup / are one of those people that are continuously buying foundations trying to find the right one.

Just get this one :).

This foundation is amazing, I have oily blemish prone skin and turning 36 this year. I can use 1-2 pumps for every day or build it up with 3-4 pumps for full cover without it looking at all cakey or thick.

It’s soft blurring effect makes my skin look flawless. It feels light and breathable and is non pore clogging! It doesn’t irritate me skin at all. It’s the only foundation I haven’t got bored of using every day, usually I will switch around but this is my absolute go to now.

With the ysl pressed powder it really lasts ALL day.

Why is this so expensive? I just need to understand the thought process behind the price point as this is a tiny tube for what you pay for. If you’re an everyday makeup wearer, this won’t last you but maybe 2 weeks or a little longer! I haven’t used this but 5 times and I’m almost out! I don’t go heavy handed, either! This doesn’t take a lot to cover, plus you want it to feel light on your skin.

I love this because it covers so well, is smooth when putting on, easy to blend (in which I use my fingers or a brush) and it stays on long while! The color I purchased is a perfect match. I’m just saddened that I’ll have to make another purchase of this because the rest isn’t going to last long.

I wanted to mention that I get oily in my T-Zone area – which in this case the foundation has to be touched up in those areas by an hour in. But. for me it is like that with most foundations as I have combo skin and nothing I use foundation/setting powder/setting spray wise does its full job in the T-Zone area.

The best foundation. I really love this texture with spf. Perfect match with my skin because of the Lancome foundation tool. I found this formula to be less heavy and less cakes than other stick foundations I have tried.

The formula applied effortlessly and provided good coverage without needing to apply lots of product. It felt like it melted onto my skin almost. It looked like my skin and gave me a radiant soft matte finish.

I found it left my skin feeling velvety and soft after application. I also found this formula to be buildable, which was nice in areas where I had a bit more redness or blemishes to lessen the appearance of.

I would most definitely purchase this product in the future and would highly recommend it to friends or family.
