20 Best Foundation For Covering Scars (2023 Updated)

Okay so I ordered these off amazon (checked reviews etc to make sure it was genuine and I also paid a little bit more for them). I didn’t realise they had such an effed up shade range. Like there is 4 categories: Fair Light Médium Tan Dark So I picked 2 shades.

211 from light range and 218 from tan range. 218 is a decent colour which I quite like. Now 211. How may I describe this colour. It’s toothpaste consistency. Near enough white in colour and with a shocking pink undertone!! Like really!! Put it this way.

Nobody is that shade EVER! Stay away from shade 211. The coverage on the other hand is great. 9/10 for coverage. If you have oily skin I don’t know if you’ll like it. As you look like a slick oil painting after application and until you powder it down.

Lasts decent. Again totally depending on what setting products you use and if you prime etc. Worth £10 I would say!.

Was SO excited to try RMS products! Such a BIG plus that this foundation is “clean beauty”, however as a woman in her sixties with dry sensitive skin, there are some significant “challenges” in using…PROS 1) Finish is VERY dewy… finishing powder suggested for a more satin/natural looking finish.

2) Foundation looks very natural, literally melts into your skin. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly. 3) Covers sunspots/discolorations very well, and is buildable. 4) Absolutely love the sponge (ease of application and perfect finish).

Less is more with this foundation. I used the size of a dried green pea to do my entire face. CONS 1) Product very greasy feeling, and after application feels drying to my skin. 2) Contains coconut oil, the second most comedogenic (pore clogging) oil known for cosmetic formulation.

3) My face gets a little itchy immediately after application, but the sensation passes. 3) Smells exactly like interior house paint…unpleasant but dissipates. Bottom line – Going to try it for a few days to insure I do not have a break out or develop millia (whiteheads) from it.

Will save for special occasions, like going out and weddings, as I do not wear foundation every day.

this foundation is so lovely. i have combination skin and it’s completely fine for me. there is a learning curve with this product though in that it’s not as simple as a liquid to apply where you can just slap it on anyway anyhow.

you need to really warm up the cream in between your fingers first to melt down the foundation so it will glide onto your skin, then pat it in. you can’t just dot this on your face and go in with a brush or sponge and expect it to blend out nicely.

you need to blend this in with your fingers really well, then you can go over it with a brush or damp sponge. the product really benefits from warming up the thicker texture with your hand heat. more work than a traditional foundation but so worth it for me.

gives a lovely dewy finish and lasting moisture all day i cannot get over and you get so much product considering you only need a tiny bit and you never have to worry about looking dry with this baby since it’s so loaded with hydrating and moisturizing ingredients.

cant say enough good about this foundation honestly.

I typically use B&B cream or tinted moisturizer, but because I received a sample of this foundation I gave it a try. I was blown away the first time I used it! I’m 41 and have some wrinkles, age spots, larger pores on nose, etc.

and this foundation blended all of those areas seamlessly! I did not use primer or a brush, I simply used my fingers on moisturized skin to apply. It melted into my skin and gave me great coverage without feeling heavy.

A little really does go a long way (I’ve used the tiny sample pod at least 6 times and have a bit more to use up still) so I feel like it is still a good buy, despite being expensive. Most foundations settle into my laugh lines and end up making them look more pronounced.

this RMS product did not settle, even when wearing for 8+ hours. This did not appear cakey on dryer areas and didn’t feel greasy on the oily areas (I have combination skin). My skin looked even, healthy, and fresh all day long.

I’m buying the full size product today and can’t wait to use it more!!.

I have thread veins on my face,which seem to worsen in the summer. I’ve tried all sorts of concealers but apart from BD nothing covers properly and BD doesn’t stay on for long. Covermark does everything I want t to do! It stays put,doesn’t come off over your clothes and covers my veins.

I have found it tricky to find the right shade as the photos aren’t very accurate. I would go a shade or two lighter and then you can use normal foundation over it. My only gripe is the price-but if you want a quality product then it’s money well spent.

I felt refreshed and beautiful after applying this foundation.

This is body makeup/concealer with an SPF15 which I like. I am wearing Cool Bone which matches my face but since I’m self tanning, not my body. I’m taking that into consideration for this review however.

This worked decent as a concealer for my hyperpigmentation but not unlike my usual concealer or a full coverage foundation. I like that it’s fragrance free so no worries if you have sensitivities. It’s also waterproof and I can attest, it stayed on all day.

If you were to use this to cover scars, tattoos, etc. , I’d venture to say go one shade darker although I still don’t think it would fully cover anyway. I think this is better as a concealer rather than a body coverup.

This was my first time trying this product or any Estee Lauder foundation so I did not know my color. This foundation did not camouflage everything on my face particularly a brown spot on my check plus it felt heavy.

What was even more disappointing, though, was the return/exchange process. They claim free returns and exchanges but they don’t truly exchange the product. You have to process the return and then turnaround and place a new order yourself.

The first foundation was purchased with a promotion code which made things even more difficult. After a few phone calls and chat sessions, they made things right but I still have not received a return label to send the first foundation back and it’s been two weeks.

I don’t recommend ordering foundation online unless you already know your color. I did end up ordering the stay-in-place foundation which feels nice and at least got the color right with that order. I’m an Estee E-list member.

Hides a very nasty black and blue below my right eye on the cheekbone from opening a wine bottle with corkscrew. I pulled up too soon instead of letting the corkscrew do its job and pulled with my right hand, flat top of metal corkscrew hit the area, swelled up immediately.

Co-worker had this on hand and it is a GODSEND. I HIGHLY recommend this. It is the very best out there , especially for bruises, and no one can tell it is there.

purchased the lightest shade and its literally nearly stark white. Great for Halloween as although I’m extremely pale this made me look too chalky if i tried to wear it as a foundation on its own. However it was useful to mix into other foundations to lighten the shade for a perfect match.

Just received this, was definitely worth the shipping time! I was looking for something to replace my Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer (which sadly got discontinued) and am not disappointed. The shade I got is H100.

I recommend the H series as it is a very thick “foundation” (but I use it to spot conceal and blend into like a foundation and then powder off). So imagine it being like an all-in-one product, of concealer and foundation in one.

It is excellent for oily combo skin and NC25-30. I am planning to get the shade C2 as well and imagine it being like MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Highlighter Pen in Light Boost but much fuller in coverage.

With that said, Spotscover is godsent and I can’t wait to use it daily.

I like it but you have to know how to use it properly. Make sure your face is exfoliated well and you moisturize, let it dry then apply. It has Kaolin clay which makes it unusual to apply vs traditional liquid makeup.

Use your hands ONLY! It will not do well with a sponge or brush. It will look smudge using those tools. After you apply sometimes you gotta use different blending strokes or taps on your face I do esp between my eyebrows and nose.

I like she’s using a natural absorber for oil vs talc. IM HIGHLY ALLERGIC TO TALC and it causes break outs for most ppl. After letting the foundation set either air dry or face power-tap it on, no swiping.

Apply your blush in tap and or swirl motions, I do both after I tap it to get enough on. I love the SPF and that it’s thick to protect my skin but NOT cakey. Lots of SPFs break me out or make my foundation look bad so I luv it’s an all in one.

I will keep buying it when it goes on sale but I love her other two formulas more. I did mix this with another foundation, I think Clinique and it was nice combo but you still have to use the same techniques above.

Kaolin clay used every day can cause to clean out your dirty pores and breakouts to surface or if they’re not cleaning their face like they should be. Hmmmm? This has NEVER happened to me and I’M HEAVILY ACNE PRONE AND OILY.

Kaolin is used in facials to clean out the pores so yes it’s detoxing you. I used this ingredient in a facial bar and it gave me clear skin so I’m very familiar with KAOLIN CLAY. Try it for yourself and find out.

I am a hippy and have only used clean products for the past 12 years; my go to was either Alima Pure satin matte foundation or Juice Beauty’s stem cellular cc cream. That being said, I did purchase the original It Cosmetics CC cream in 2019 when I was a bridesmaid in a wedding.

I was impressed with how it looked on my skin, but ultimately, ingredients are more important to me, so I never finished the tube. Fast forward to 2022. My skin was in a funk, yall. I was breaking out left and right, my face felt like I smeared Crisco on it, and I just looked like poo.

Yes, I got a little sun, but I was not sunburnt on my face! I am so impressed with this product and I am sure I will purchase it again once I run out. In case anyone was wondering, I ordered the light-medium color and while it looks yellow upon initial application, it corrects itself to blend in with my skin after about 5 minutes.

Ps. For me, the best way to apply it is with clean fingers. I tried a brush and blender; I didn’t like either method for this specific product.

I adore this foundation/spf moisturizer!!! I don’t understand people who say it’s cakey- then don’t use half the tube!! I use quite a bit myself and it’s never been cakey, and I use my fingers- it seems the warmth of my fingers blends it perfectly!! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my skin after using this! ONLY after using this! I’ve used other products before but this seems to give such a flawless and natural finish that people think I have flawless skin! Plus it sits so nicely that I don’t even feel I have anything on my skin! I’ve tried over 30 different foundations, Korean bb creams (which I do like), cc creams, but none compare to this product!! They have a customer for life!! As long as they don’t change the formula!😜❤️❤️❤️.
