This foundation is very puzzling. It stays matt by far the longest of anything I’ve ever tried – about 4 hours before I need to blot, and it stays put for a whole day no problem. The finish is very natural velour like.
It does set really fast and it’s best if applied in small areas by a sponge. It is mattifying, and it really wouldn’t be suitable for anything but oily skin. However, that’s where the advantages end.
Acne, scars and dry patches are frequent companions to oily skin. And this foundation is terrible at that. It is very very sheer. It is quite buildable if applied over the set area, but you need a lot of it to achieve even skin tone if skin discoloration is present.
By a lot – like 2-3 times more than any other regular foundation to achieve some coverage. Also it sticks like no one’s business to dry skin patched and puts them on a pedestal. Like I didn’t even know that spot had dry skin – but here it is, hello.
I want to like this foundation. I do. It really gives a beautiful finish and stay loooong. But it is quite expensive, and you need a lot of if, and it’s quite moody in how it needs to be applied. So if you’re someone with clean, even but oily skin, this would be perfect.
But if you’re struggling with acne and discoloration, I’d look elsewhere.
I’m really enjoying this foundation! I can say at the moment this is definitely my “holy grail” foundation. The coverage is wonderful, and I love the finish! It’s definitely mattifying, but it does not look cakey.
It looks just like my skin. I have noticed that it does cling to dead/dry skin- so if you are someone who suffers from excessive dryness this one might be the most flattering. When I wear this foundation it stays in place and doesn’t break down (which is a first for me!).
My only complaints: 1. The foundation doesn’t go a long way. It’s a thicker consistency so I feel like I need quite a bit more than I usually do with my liquid foundations. And for the price point I feel like I should be able to get more uses out of the product.
2. Sometimes the foundation seems to separate, kind of like ketchup if you don’t shake it.
Worst Foundation I have ever used. I have combo skin, super oily in my t-zone and pretty normal to dry on cheeks. Wow this was a mess everywhere. Clung to any minor dry patch, sat on top of skin, emphasized every pore like nothing ever has before.
At first the color Shell seemed like a good light neutral but it turned several shades darker within a few minutes to be an unnatural orange. Even though this at first is one of the most matte foundations I have ever tried (chalky is how I would describe it), and it set very quickly, it did not help control the oil, and the sides of my nose quickly became more oily than they do with most other foundation.
I tried it with and without primer and it didn’t make much of a difference. I don’t write many negative reviews but after my second attempt, I can’t wait to wash this off.

I am a makeup lover. I’ve tried easily over fifty foundation/skin makeup products, from foundations, tinted moisturisers, BB creams…you name it. I feel like I’ve been looking forever for that “perfect” foundation, trying one “holy grail” foundation after another, only to be disappointed.
This might have been because of my skin type-I get told that I have nice skin without makeup, but I have some enlarged pores, areas of discolouration and hyperpigmentation that I like to conceal. I also have sensitive skin, prone to breakouts and weird dry/oily patches if some ingredient in the foundation is irritating.
So a good number of skin makeup actually makes my skin look worse. Suffice it to say, difficult to find a good foundation for. That was, until I found this one. It gives an incredibly natural finish, of skin that looks “natural”, never looking flat or cakey.
It has probably light to medium coverage-darker spots and freckles will show through, but it doesn’t matter because the end result is just such incredible looking skin. This makes me look like I was born with porcelain skin.
Not makeup-just really, really nice natural skin. I get so many compliments and people who just stare at my face whenever I put this on. In addition-it doesnt make my skin break out. If anything, my skin actually feels incredibly smooth and soft when I wash it off at night-and I’ve been feeling my skin is gradually looking better without makeup when I use this regularly.
So skincare benefits are real. I’m writing this review so that I can persuade people to try this. It’s not for those who like the full glam powdery matte skin looks. But if you enjoy looking like you were just born with 200% better skin, do not give this one a miss.
I find that this foundation applies beautifully regardless of tool, but if you want to see the full potential of this product, use it with the CDP foundation brush (the flat one). I know it’s expensive, but it’s leagues cheaper than my collection of 10+ foundations which are just sitting in my drawer collecting dust now.
I have used the original radiant fluid foundation for many years. Like others noted, the new formula is disappointing and do not understand how the company would suggest this is the same quality and/or somehow better than the original.
IMO the new version is heavier, somewhat opaque and sits on top of your skin. It does not blend in as well – no matter the technique or time spent to do so. The original radiant fluid melted seamlessly in to the skin and created a most lovely, soft undetectable veil which moisturized and concealed imperfections at the same time.
I experimented with dozens of foundations before discovering Radiant Fluid. The formula was superior to all. The top feature for me was the foundation provided all of the heavy duty benefits listed above yet you did not feel you were wearing a makeup base because it felt so very light.

I’ve spent hundreds of dollars over the past few hears trying to find a foundation that meets the needs of my aging (70+ years), sun damaged, lined skin. My criteria was: matte finish, long-lasting, smoothing, no creasing, SPF, and a smooth and natural look.
Finally! This foundation checks all the boxes for me. I had a bit of trouble color matching and finally landed on one pump of BF10 mixed with a drop of O20 to warm up the color. I start with Paula’s Choice sun block, followed by a very light moisturizer on my very dry forehead, then one pump of the foundation which lasts all day in Hawaii’s humid climate with barely any t-zone shine at day’s end.
My skin feels soft and smooth and there’s no settling in my smile creases. This is definitely now my foundation holy grail. Expensive? Yes indeed but because you need to use so little to achieve medium to full coverage, the bottle will last a long time.
