I have had issues with severe dandruff since I was a little girl, it was beyond frustrating. Nothing worked Head and Shoulders, Tea Tree shampoo, vinegar shampoo, the list goes on absolutely no relief for my severe dandruff/itching.

the only reason why I didn’t give this product 5 stars is because it is drying – however I solved this issue by using my regular conditioner. no issue. I started using this shampoo over the summer because I have thick curly hair that is pretty coarse and I always have product buildup which then turns into dandruff.

by my third use, my hair was literally flake free. it’s my favorite shampoo and I urge everybody to try it. i’m aware it might not work for everybody, but it’s done wonders for me. in all honesty, I haven’t even used this shampoo since november because my scalp has cleared up that much since june, for the first time in years.

I WILL ADD: I had a balayage on my hair and it stripped my toner out a little. this didn’t bother me though because I am a hairdresser so I just re-toned it. lol. it might not be the best for color treated hair, but i have not tried that on an actual full color.

I take an oral cancer therapy that makes my skin, eyes, nose, and mouth extremely dry. I bought this hoping it would help my scalp, which was dry and had a painful rash, a side effect of the cancer fighting drug.

After only a few weeks of using the LP scalp care dry scalp treatment every other day, it resolved both problems completely. I am so thankful it worked and so happy I tried it. At the same time, I also started using LP Restore and Repair Leave-in.

In the shower, I don’t feel as if this conditioner provides enough slip for me. I find my hair becomes tangled with the conditioner, so I try to gently comb it through before rinsing— but I’ve never really had that issue with other luxury hair care brands.

So that part is a little less than ideal in my experience and has me curious about if the mask would work better on my hair or maybe a different family in the Oribe line. I give it a 8/10 because I do feel like it smooths and hydrates the hair, leaves quite a bit of shine, and that signature Oribe scent is heaven.

😍👌🏽I just wish it would give way more slip and detangle better. A couple other Oribe products that I need to review yet are the beach wave spray, dry texturizing spray, and the soft lacquer spray that initially drew me to Oribe over 10 years ago.

Yes, this product is so thick and pure that it will be a little more challenging to get out of the bottle. If that’s a negative, then the concept of this product has already been lost on the user. It has to be rich and thick based on its purpose.

I use this mid week instead of washing and conditioning my hair. A little product is all you need. I have very long, naturally wavy locks and a little teaspoon amount works perfectly. I run this through my hair when I first get in the shower, making sure you massage your scalp well.

Let it sit while you finish your shower routine and then rinse just before leaving shower. Do not wring your hair tightly. I gently squeeze out the excess water and then wrap in a special towel to keep the moisture locked in until I dry off.

This way your curls stay hydrated which is key to their healthy look. This smells like Oribe which is wonderful.

I’m a long term user of Briogeo products, especially the don’t despair repair line. The shampoo is amazing and I’ve repurchased that several times. Along with the deep conditioning mask, my hair never looked better.

So I was really excited to try out this treatment that goes along with that line. It has the same scent that the shampoo has if you’re familiar, also same color, and similar texture. It is cooling when you apply it- after several uses I can say that the effect continues to happen not just with first use.

I don’t love that it adds more time to my shower, so I have to be mindful of scheduling but it’s not a huge deal. I leave it on and shave my legs or something and then continue with the rest of my routine.

So far I think it’s worked really well and I can see myself repurchasing. It does help with scalp itchiness/dryness, but I have noticed that it weights my hair down and I need to do extra styling after using.

I use the entire Scalp Revival line. I’ve never used this by itself, so I’m not sure which product of the line is doing the heavy lifting, but my scalp is like a different person’s scalp now. This mask is my favorite step in the line and it feels so amazing every time.

For years off and on I’ve had problems with flaking, oiliness, dry patches, crusty/scabby patches, build up — this line clears it all up. Other clarifying shampoos/masks work for me, but only for one issue one at a time, nothing seemed to handle all of it at once until I tried this line.

I originally got a sample size of this serum in a Briogeo pack- when it ran out, I needed to re-purchase. I am prone to dermatitis on my scalp (particularly in winter)- and this has noticeably improved my scalp.

I will occasionally use the Briogeo charcoal shampoo, but I can’t use it often as sometimes it doesn’t wash out properly, and it does seem to increase hair fall. When I’m not using the charcoal shampoo, I use this serum after every wash, focussing on areas that are prone to dermatitis.

I even used it once on dry hair when I noticed a patch of dermatitis (because I forgot it’s meant to be used on wet clean hair), and it cleared it up so well. Wouldn’t recommend on dry hair if you plan on leaving the house– as it will leave a residue– but it did seem effective!.

It seems to have helped my scalp as I was having some irritation from using dry shampoo. It also smells great, as all R+Co product do, but I don’t think I will repurchase. Something about using physical exfoliation anywhere near/on my hair it just does not feel right.

I want to be gentle with my hair and even though this is scalp product, it inevitably scrubs your roots.

I started using this about a month ago. It took about a week of using it for me to begin seeing the results. I started off applying it right after I applied my tea tree/olive oil mix. My scalp started to peel as stated in the description.

I noticed my persistent, burning itch had diminished significantly. Two weeks into using it, I would go an entire day without my scalp itching at all and I started using it solo without any oil. I’ve noticed the thick flakes on my scalp that would never go away after shampooing have seemed to disappear.

One of the most distressful aspects of seborric dermatitis is the hair thinning I’ve experienced. Most of my thinning has been around my front hairline and in the mohawk area of my head. My hairline definitely has started to thicken up and I’m hoping the rest will as well.

I’ve been able to go from shampooing twice a week to now once a week. This formula has tremendously improved my quality of life. I highly recommend. Be patient because it does take a little while for it to do its magic.

Have some seriously dry scalp. Bought a few different things to try. Have used this 3 times. Since the first wash I have noticed a serious decrease in dandruff. Very slight tingle when washing, reminds me of Nioxin.

I am extremely sad to share that this made me have an allergic reaction. I never have reactions with hair products. I didn’t realize it until I finished the product that I was allergic. Somehow it managed to cause me to itch all over.

I ended up with hive like scratch marks. It wasn’t until I was doing my hair one day and I noticed that this product was the only product that made my hands burn. I did notice that my roots felt softer and it kept my hair hydrated and stopped it from drying out.

I’ve always had very very dry skin, especially on my scalp. I recently moved and the water is very harder than my last home which exacerbated my scalp condition. I did the Nioxin scalp scrub and then did this three-step process.

When I tell you, my scalp has never felt better and my hair has never looked better, that would be an understatement. after one use, the thickness of my hair almost doubled and no more flaking everywhere!! I would strongly recommend to anyone who is having scalp issues.

I am in love. This is the first product I have tried for my sensitive scalp that actually does anything. It doesn’t foam up nearly as much as other shampoos, but it leaves my hair soft and manageable without stripping my scalp and hair.

It does take some extra work to rinse out, but absolutely worth it. So thankful the hairdresser at a Ulta recommended it.

This basically can replace the tea tree conditioner. They say apply a small amount, but with my thick hair, I need at least a little more than a quarter size. Every hair is different. I then start from the scalp and massage the treatment all over my scalp and then my hair for a good 3-5 minutes and that includes standing in there when you know your hair is fully covered letting it set in.

Once the time is up you then rinse. The next day you will see the results and how super soft your hair feels. I also air dry my hair, always. Another technique to use for nights is doing everything above that I stated, BUT DO NOT RINSE! The treatment will remain on your hair all night.

Just softly towel dry it but not to where more treatment comes out than water and let it air dry and or wear a hairnet before sleep. In the morning rinse it out. Your hair will also be just as healthy looking and soft.

I suggest doing that technique if you have damaged or dry hair because this helps make your hair healthy again if the treatment is kept on the hair longer. THIS ALSO INCREASES HAIR GROWTH! You will over the months the more you use this notice your hair seems longer already, lol!.

I learned about this product form a TikTok and have it a try. I thought I had dandruff but it turns out you just need to extol your scalp and re-moisturizer. I use this once a week and my scalp does not get dry and flakey anymore.

Now my hair looks so healthy all the time. It stopped itching too! The cooling effect really feels like it opens up your scalp pores and deep cleans them while adding hydration. It doesn’t feel dry afterwards.

I follow up with a conditioner or a hydrating mask afterwards for extra hair care.

i never EVER write reviews, but for this i must. Granted, i’ve only used this 2x so far within a 2 week span, but it’s so good i needed to write a review. for reference, i have very long, very thick dark colored hair.

I wash my hair 1-2x a week. i have awful flaking/dandruff and it especially builds up around my hairline and can be extremely itchy and at times painful. i’ve tried high end specialized shampoo’s, drug store specialized shampoo, and nothing works.

I started doing some google research and after a lot of looking into different items, i decided on this. I used this 2x in a 2 week span and i would say my flaking is 95% gone. Everytime i touch my hair i would have flakes fall down (sorry for the graphic image!) and after using this there is almost 0 flakes.

Where i noticed it the helping the most is at the front of my hair line. I could never wear my hear pulled back or head bands because you’d just see a buildup of white. after using this, NO flake buildup!!! I shampoo’d with my normal shampoo, rubbed a dime-sized amount of this on my scalp and let it sit for about 5 minutes and then i washed out with cold water and used my conditioner.

If you have terrible dandruff and have tried other products that have not worked, TRY THIS. It’s an affordable way to make you feel more comfortable and confident.

I used this for a dry and itchy scalp for 3 months. I didn’t find it to be any better or worse than drug store brands with the same ingredients. It did make my hair very dry but I stuck with it 3 days a week for 3 months to see if it would help.

What did happen was the sides of my fingers, where the nail meets the flesh, first became dry, then thick layers of calluses formed, and then then thick callouses started to split into deeply painful craters.

The skin was crazy sharp from all the thickness and peeling so when I brushed hair from my face, it would scratch my skin. I didn’t realize it was this shampoo for months. I switched hand lotions, I cut and filed my nails differently, I started using thick night time lotions and exfoliants but it got worse.

I started eliminating anything new in my life down to food and laundry detergent and soap and it still went on till one day a light bulb went off. I started wearing latex gloves when I shampooed with this product and in about 10 days my fingers were halfway back to normal.

I stopped this shampoo completely and in about 2 weeks my fingers were almost completely back to normal. I make sure about this I used the shampoo again with my bare hands and the same skin side effect happened.

Since this stuff is far more expensive than others like it and not any better and since it gave me such a horrible side effect, there is no reason to use it again.

I ordered a re-stock several months ago, after running out of the shampoo. I noticed after delivery that the label was updated. (Still have the previous label conditioner, and an empty bottle of the shampoo to compare the new one to.

) On first use, I noticed the scent was far less minty – only a hint of the peppermint that used to smell quite strong. The feel of the shampoo was also possibly thinner. So I check the ingredients. Contrary to a response from Nioxin above, who claimed that they only changed the label, the formula absolutely HAS changed.

First off, the Pyrithione Zinc active ingredient increased by 50%, from 1% to 1. 5%. As for the rest: Sodium Chloride, which used to be way down the list, is now the next ingredient behind water & SLS.

It now has PEG-3 thickener added, and REMOVED several good-for-scalp minerals like Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Thiamine, and some polypeptides. So there absolutely IS a new formula. And maybe to them it’s a better formula.

But it’s irresponsible to claim it didn’t change, especially when people (possibly coping with a skin issue) are relying on your information being accurate. Past that, it’s just a bummer that there even is a new formula: The revised version looks, smells, and feels like a cheaper, more typical dandruff shampoo – and the new ingredient list certainly reads more like your average, chemical formula that likely put profit over ingenuity.

It may work for some people. Even without using Nioxin, I’d normally experience a mildly dry scalp on occasion. The previous Nioxin, which I used regularly, took care of this. My scalp reacted severely to this new version.

Around the crown of my head, from ear to ear – a line of red, itchy irritation that turned to very thickened dry skin, then to severe dandruff. Because I thought it might be a particular medication I was taking, I continued a few weeks to giving the NEW Nioxin Scalp Recovery shampoo a chance.

But when I stopped using it was when my scalp “recovered. “.

This shampoo contains DMDM hydantoin. If you don’t know a few brands have class actions against them for this ingredient because it produces formaldehyde I believe. Which is making peoples hair fall out.

Besides that I have had a dry scalp my whole life and have tried everything, this made it 100 times worse. I now have eczema down my neck, behind my ears. It’s so embarrassing. I would give negative stars if I could.

I was really excited to try virtue and I was really hoping I was going to love it, but it just ended up being soso. I tried it for a month to see if my thoughts would change, but my hair seemed to be drier than it was before using this brand.

I’ve tried redken, amika, and briogeo and I wouldn’t say there was anything special with virtue to set them apart from those other brands. The exfoliating scalp treatment made my scalp really dry and irritated it more than not using it at all.

The recovery shampoo + conditioner + mask made my hair feel dry as well and I haven’t seen any improvements using this brand compared to the previous ones I mentioned. If anything, I feel I took a step back with my hair goals and my hair felt more hydrated with briogeo.

I was really hoping this brand was going to be the holy grail for my hair, but unfortunately it was not. :/.

I was gifted by Virtue Labs the Virtue Exfoliating Scalp Treatment for my honest review. Let me start by how excited I was to see the rubber-sided top. I enjoyed how easy it was to open in the shower.

I absolutely loved the light floral, sweet, and soothing scent. I was concerned if I could get the rice beads rinsed out of my hair, but I had no problem. I have long hair so I needed additional conditioner to get my ends moisturized.

Other than that, my oily scalp felt so clean!! It also kept my hair moisturized. My scalp always gets oily and feels dirty the next day, and that didn’t happen using this treatment. I felt like this balanced my scalp.

I am impressed with my results and highly recommend this.

The weather changes have made my family’s scalps itchy and sensitive and my preferred Sachajuan scalp toner is discontinued so I had to try something new. This pack is expensive but saved me from having to choose one particular product from the range to see which one works best.

I would re-purchase all of these. The scalp serum is not as good as the Sachajuan one but works well in the range as the scalp shampoo can be a bit drying. The dry shampoo was a cut above in terms of keeping the scalp happy while avoiding a wash but not sure if I would invest as I doint use dry shampoo that much.

The charcoal shampoo does not feel gritty and harsh like the ChristopheRobin one does, but I can feel the clay absorbing the oil. I washed after with a regular shampoo to get it all out, then added the cooling mask, which felt realllllllyyy comforting and cooling.

From the first wash I felt a massive difference and as my scalp was irritated, I used it two washes in a row and then used it once a week but found I didnt need to as much after awhile. I agree with the other reviewers that it made me need to wash my hair less and gave relief from the first and second wash.

Another tip is I put regular conditioner on the mid lengths and ends of my hair while the cooling scalp mask was on, I didnt wait and then rinse it out and then condition the hair as an extra step. This pack was an absolute saviour for the family as we all felt more comfortable and buying online saved going out and risking covid when we were trying especially hard to avoid it ahead of a significant social event.

I was looking for something to remove the buildup and mineral on my hair and scalp. I wanted Olaplex 4C. The Sephora associate steered me in this direction. She said I shouldn’t use Olaplex because it has SLS?!Rather than taking home a giant pot of the product I decided to try this pack.

Be aware, you will at best get 2 uses out of this box! I have hair that falls right about my chest. I don’t know what I was supposed to expect but my hair when styled was heavy, greasy and my scalp felt itchy, oily and worse than it ever has.

Because of the greasy look and feel I did need to use the included dry shampoo the very next day when normally I can go almost 4 days before dry shampoo is needed. The dry shampoo feels like little razors on your scalp.

It did absolutely nothing to boost my roots or dry up the grease. I am uncomfortable and will need to rewash my hair second day, which I haven’t done in 16 years. I have medium to fine blonde hair, highlighted.

Maybe it’s me? But yuck this product was a terrible waste of my money! I’m so tired of young sassy associates thinking they know what’s best for me!! I’ve lost nearly $300 at my local Kohls/Sephora in the last 3 months.

I go in with a plan to purchase an item I have extensively researched and determined is right for me and then the associate rips them from my hands and says no that’s not for you! I now have a shower full of useless product an ugly head of hair and a cranky attitude.

I purchased this late 2021 but waited till I’d used it a few times before leaving a review. This is a great value set for someone looking to buy the stimulating scalp brush and the scalp revival scrub and mask from Briogeo.

I do not use this product once a week as suggested on the box, but instead every 4 to 6 weeks. I am not a big user of dry shampoos or products in hair but I do get oily build up and giving it that good charcoal scrub with the scalp brush just really cleans it out and let’s me get by with using living proof PhD set for the next few weeks without any issues.

I personally don’t find I get anything out of the two little samples of the dry shampoo powder or the scalp revival drops to follow after drying my hair. But I can vouch that your scalp will be squeaky clean after a good charcoal scrub and mask and you will definitely want a good hair mask/condition to leave in your hair from mid length to ends while the scalp conditioner is doing it’s thing because your hair does crave hydration with these two products.

I’ve tried some other scrubs (both Mecca and non mecca) prior to using this, but this is the one I’ve found has the finest grains, and you can still work around your scalp and ‘lather’ it in off your hair to the scalp when applying.

I would recommend this to friends who get build up, be it from oily roots to product build up.

I’ve been relaxing my hair for years but the older I got the more sensitive my scalp became. All other relaxers would burn immediately and leave me with scabs and unrelaxed hair because it had to be washed out too quickly.

Once I started using Mizani Butter Blend Sensitive Scalp that all ended. It doesn’t burn my scalp and my hair is straightened and silky. I won’t use any other relaxer in my hair.

First thing, please be aware this is not a kit. It does not contain all items needed to perform a complete relaxer. It only has The base, activator and spatulas. You must purchase scalp protectant, conditioner to use prior to neutralizer and post relaxer conditioner and neutralizing shampoo.

Further, the products I received looked as if they had been buried in a desert. They were covered in tons of dust. Relaxer creme was shifted in jar, some on top seal as if sitting upside down.

This Mizani relaxer is absolutely amazing. The product instantly conditions and moisturized my hair relaxing it to absolute perfection. The product was well packaged by the seller and came earlier than expected.

Our family has used the brand Head and Shoulders, for 25 years or so. The only kind we’ve used, is the original HS’s shampoo. My husband has dry skin issues & eczema. He always had to stick with this brand & the particular type it was, no added scents/ingredients.

Or it’d cause him several problems. We had never used this newer line from HS’s however. I absolutely loved the scent of this (& any of HS’s varieties). It smells so tremendously refreshing, clean, & great! It helps immensely with his dry scalp/dandruff issues.

My daughter loved it too. We (3 of people) all tried this product 3-6 times, And agree the scent is amazing, very effective in combatting dry scalp/itchy flaky scalp, & felt very clean & refreshed, after using this particular product.

I would recommend it & vouch on my word that it’s very effective & high quality. I recommend this product to everyone.

My close friends father is getting up there in age, as he has aged & especially now that he has had some strokes, my friend has been his care taker & noticed that he has developed some pretty intense dandruff.

They use regular head & shoulders it helps some, but I knew he would be the perfect person to try out the new head & shoulders clinical calming scalp treatment. It is a small tube, but it is mighty & works awesome.

It’s light weight & not greasy. My friend has used it every other day on her dad in the last three weeks & I’d say his scalp itch & flake has improved by 80%! She uses it on his hair no matter if it’s wet or dry, brushes it in & he’s good to go.

I love the Head and Shoulders Scalp Calming treatment. It smells fresh and clean, and I love the immediate and long lasting relief it gives me from my dry itchy scalp. It is refreshing and soothes my scalp.

I love that it can be used on wet or dry hair, and requires no rinsing. It feels amazing and does not weigh your hair down and doesn’t leave your hair or scalp feeling greasy. I highly recommend this for anyone that suffers from dry, itchy scalp and dandruff.

I have noticed a dramatic improvement in the condition of my scalp since using it. It is great for in between washings with your favorite Head and Shoulders shampoos and conditioners.

This product is not for me. I bought this scrub because I get dry flaky skin on my scalp so I was hoping to reduce that. While it did leave my hair feeling quite soft, it was incredibly difficult to fully rinse it out of my hair, so I can’t comment on whether it reduced the flakiness as it introduced grittiness to my scalp which remained for days (and I really did rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse).

The other negative was that it seemed to increase hair loss. This wasn’t noticeable when using it but the following time I washed my hair, there was just so much hair fall. It reminded me of when I was pregnant and chunks of my hair fell out each time I washed it (I am not pregnant now so that is not the issue).

I’ve used this twice since purchasing it and both times that I used it, excessive hair loss was noticeable the following time I washed it. So, I obviously won’t be continuing to use this and I’ll be examining the ingredients really carefully to figure out what caused the hair loss so that I can avoid it in other products.

My first time I used it I loved the product. I thought it was amazing. It made my head feel lighter and I thought that meant it removed all the product build up I had from using other products. I just used it tonight, and I had so much hair come out of my head while showering it’s ridiculous!! I’ve never had clumps of hair come out of my head like this and the worse part this picture isn’t even all of it.

There was more. It was coming out of my hand. Now I know why my head felt lighter. I even have thick hair. I’ve pitched the product and am never ordering it again.

I just simply love it. I like any type of scrubs for anything, love that extra feeling of cleanness after you’ve scrubbed any part of your body. Same with this, not had a hair scrub in a while and definitely love to just get in close to the roots and give them a proper little scrub.

I have hair down to my middleof my back, so I’m definitely not washing it every day, usually 1x in 3 of 4 days, depends on my life/work schedule. So after few days of, sometimes, using dry shampoo and hairspray, it’s feels even nicer to have your roots and scalp scrubbed.

Sometimes I have this feeling like shampoo on its own just doesn’t leave my hair feeling clean, so this definitely does that to me. Plus, the benefits of having your scalp massaged, blood rotation/flow getting moved is obviously a better hair growth, which is always a bonus.

🙂 Plus, if you’re afraid that it’ll be hard to wash scrub out of your hair, it’s not that bad at all, it’s so finely milled, that shampoo quite quickly gets it out of my hair. Smell – to me it smells very lightly minty, like freshly brewed peppermint tea smell, if you know what I mean.
