20 Best Football Cleats For Youth (2023 Updated)

Purchased a youth size 3 for a 7 year old to play tackle football. This was the 2nd pair of cleats purchased, because the first pair (not this cleat) being laces and very narrow, were “too tight” and hurt his feet.

His a big little dude and these cleats gave his feet more room. Not having to worry about shoe laces during practice or the game, for him and myself (since parents aren’t allowed on the field during games) is great! This cleat was also available in black, but he chose the white ones.

I purchased these for my son for flag football. Overall great, no issues with fit or comfort and so far no issues with the velcro as others have mentioned HOWEVER, why is no one talking about the check on the front being backwards? It drives me insane! Luckily my son hasn’t noticed or doesn’t care.

Looks like this may have been corrected in the new opti yellow, but how do this many cleats in this many colors make it past qc with a brand error like that.

I bought these shoes a week ago. My son practiced in them 4 times. On the 4th practice wearing them it was raining. Not a downpour, but raining. He can straight home after practice and left the shoes in the shoe tray in our home.

Less than 24 hours later there was an incredibly strong odor that smelled like cat urine. We do not have cats. I’ve tried everything to get the smell out without success. If your child will be sweating or possibly get caught in a light rain shower at any point with these shoes on; I would not recommend purchasing them.

4 days. That’s all we got. Garbage.

Though this cleat looks good for how inexpensive it is, it runs at least an entire size too small. My son has just outgrown his size 6. 5 street shoes, so I ordered a 7 and a 7. 5. At 7. 5, they were still too small.

I wear a size 6. 5, and the 7. 5 was tight with a very thin sock. Now I feel like I have to order two more pairs :/.

When I bought this shoes for football i was happy in till i tried them on i have wide feet and if you wide would not try to get them th they are super narrow and tight as much but it is comfortable and good i would recommend this for not wide feet people and if you do if your a 9.

5 get a size 10 plz and have a good day.

These cleats are terrible. After wearing for 3 practices several spikes had worn down to half the original size. The gold coating is cracked and peeling off, after only 3 practices there is no way these would hold up for an entire season.

The traction is terrible my son is a running back and was constantly slipping and falling. As well they rubbed terrible blister on the back of his ankles. Horrible product for the money. I am taking them back and raising heck if I don’t get a refund!.

I have the all gold original spot lights and I have the all black second generation this is by far the worst mock up and I even wore speedforms. UA go back to the drawing board on these and the highlights and go back to what made them great.

This new cleat terrible angle for a cut in the sock move it to the front remember y’all make low cut cleats that feel like your spatted aka take the strap off the new highlights.

I do not know why they changed the original MC Highlight to these! These have NO ankle support! It’s basically like a stretchy sock fabric that is hard to get on! Also the heel has extra room even though the toe fit fine & does not sit on the foot like it should.

Very uncomfortable and offer no support. Please go back to the originals.

My daughter has had these cleats for going on 2. 5 years now. When she finally needed a new pair, she didn’t even want to consider a different pair. Durable, lightweight, comfortable and plenty of ankle support.

She’s a fan! Well worth the cost because did I mention her first pair lasted over 2 years??!!!.

I’ve owned these cleats for 3 weeks and today the whole side of them blew out causing ankle injury. A cleat should be able to withstand a FULL season with no problem. I’ve had my fair share of football cleats and these ones are by far the worst I’ve ever spent my money on.

Just a piece of advice do not buy waste of money and time.

So im using these for paintball. They are amazing! They are true to size! They are difficult to put on and take off but once you get them loose and tight they are like idk great. I was shot up in the foot with red paint and they simply wiped off.

I also noticed as you use them they clean themselves. The cleat teeth grip. I have never lost my footing. They stick. Im 150 and 5/7. I would like to think not to many people are faster then me. If your fast these will make you faster.

I love the high tops. They protect the ankle so well. Only down side is after using them for 10 hours straight my feet are a little sore but I dont think any shoe can protect that much. Most cleats i have seen at a higher price are basically throw aways.

I mean if you have a sponcer who is willing to give you cleats each time they brake your good. This is the best budget new cleat that seems like will last for years to come. I got another pair off my friend who ordered a half size to small for a tighter fit.

Don’t do that! They were to small for him. Only thing I wish is that people can order two different sizes. Most people don’t know one foot is slightly smaller then the other. Like brest haha. I was just fit at Redwing when they told me that.

They look good, but he didn’t like the way they fit. They didn’t compare at all to the Nike Alpha Menace that he wore last year. So, we returned them and git him this year’s version of the Nike cleats.

He was bummed that these didn’t work, because he liked the look.

My family visited our local Academy in Round Rock, TX in search of football cleats for our two sons. We were able to find one pair of green Under Armour cleats for our youngest son but our oldest son couldn’t find the color he wanted.

The sales associate was very helpful and had our son try on the shoe he wanted just to make sure we ordered the correct size online. He went above and beyond by searching all the shelves just to find the correct size of Under Armour™ Boys’ Highlight RM Junior Football Cleats.

After we confirmed the size he needed, we went online and ordered the exact color our son wanted. We placed the order on a Thursday morning and the shoes were sitting on our front porch by the next morning! I wish I could remember the young man’s name from the Round Rock store because he did a fantastic job!.

My son loves these cleats true to size. The entire football team asked when did I purchase them from. The came early them expected and the pop of pink makes the cleats shine.

Academy Sports has these when the other sports stores didn’t have any football cleats in stock for our son. Out of season? Great shoe, son loves them and they fit and work well for him. Academy is my new go to store.

Both my son and husband have these cleats. One plays football and the other is the coach. They love them! Looks great, fits just right and feels awesome. The price was nice too.

Bought these at the end of June and the Velcro strap fell off! My friend bought the same exact pair on the same day and her sons Velcro strap fell off after 2 weeks! I contacted under armor and they basically told me sorry about your luck, however dicks replaced them with a new pair with no hassle.

I will not buy under armor anything anymore they obviously don’t care about the quality of their products.

Bought these at the beginning of the football season and the sole is separating from the shoe. UA told me they only have a 60 day warranty. This is the second season UA shoes did not last. Bought UA gloves last season too a they didn’t last, guess UA isn’t as tough as they say they are.

Bought these for my son. He says they are the most comfortable cleats he has had! The wrap around velcro straps add extra ankle stability that he was looking for. Would definitely buy these again when he outgrows this pair!.

I purchased a size 4Y in hopes that it would give my son some room. it doesnt. My issue is that Nike or Dicks seem to have any clue that everyone does not have slim feet. I called Nike and they cant seem to see where they even sell Wide width shoes.

This is a MAJOR issue – No way – Nike should not advertise 2E or wide with shoes. Its time out for the narrow shoes.

I have been buying these for my son for the last 3 yrs. He loves them. They’re stylish. The shoes are mid, so they have a little bit of protection for the ankles. Will continue to buy.

Great support for my little football player. He has played in the rain several times and they still look like new. He is picky about his shoes and I have not heard one complaint.

My son is a size 7. 5 but needed a size 9 in these boots. Pleased with them as they were reasonably priced & comfortable for an 11 year old with man sized feet. Less impressed with the £30 price sticker that was underneath the dearer price sticker, only noticed when I got home.

Shocking & illegal I think but customer services nor staff in the store were interested. Despite there being several pairs mis-priced ! Overall pleased with the boots but cheaper in store than online.

Not true to size. My daughter wore a men’s 8 in a previous version of the Adidas Predator cleats. We bought these online without trying them on in the store. These size 8’s were not consistent with her last pair.

Gave them 3 stars due to the sizing issue.

I bought these for my Middle School soccer player. She loves the fit and they did not give her blisters or discomfort at all. The color is really nice and they have stood the test of durability. I would definitely buy these again!.

Bought these for my nephew for Xmas who is a 9. 5 shoe size, followed their size guide and ordered a size 10 to be safe and the shoes are inches shorter than his 9. 5 and are realistically more like a size 7 or 8.

Sports direct have refused an exchange or refund so my 5 year old nephew now has no Christmas present and is starting football in his old boots from last year and I’m out of pocket. Complaints team won’t help me and Adidas have said they will get involved if I give a reference number which sports direct refuse to provide to me as they don’t want Adidas getting involved 🙂 awful.

Bought these thinking they were Laceless (as in the stretch ones based on the image) return process won’t work and recognise my order. Contacted House of Fraser and no answer as of yet.

I will not buy from this company again. Boots are grand. Customer service is non existent at Sport’s Direct.

This boot I highly recommend. I’ve worn puma since I was 10 the puma one incomasses all the versions of puma, from the puma power v1. 10 to the evo speed. So comfortable I forgot I was wearing them during my break in session at my house.

Had to send back after buying online as they were very narrow at the top of the foot and about 1 size smaller than any other shoe I’ve had.

Not bad for 100 dollars good grip on grass not as comfy as I would have wanted though but still holds up as a 4/5

Overall a good clears that isn’t to bulky for kids. Wish they would have came with longer shoe strings in them because they are very short. Otherwise a really good cleat

We bought the black ones for our seven year old son to wear at soccer camp. They’re hard to get on- we use a shoehorn but once they’re on, they’re great: my son says they’re comfortable, lightweight and look really cool.

They need to be tied. My son is 98th percentile height for 7yo and super thin. The size 2 fits him well.

We bought the black version and theyre really smart. Delivery was on time and his performance has been great in them, 10 year old loves them. Hes used them on grass and 3G/4G pitch with ease. Wash out well to with boot buddy.

My son really likes these shoes. He has a real problem keeping his shoes tied and the way these fit on his foot even if they become untied he has no problem keeping them on his feet. He says that a comfortable as well.

Perfect soccer shoe for the littles. Holds up in all weather.
