20 Best Folding Wagon For Kids (2023 Updated)

This wagon was easy to put together. The things that I like about this wagon are: 1) The handle stays up and doesn’t drop if you let it go. 2) The wheels are wide and rubber so they go over grass and sand easily.

3) It has a very convenient break to lock the wheels in place. 4) The seats in it have a nice padding to them. 5) It’s a smooth ride going down the road. Even my 8 year old can pull his twin brothers that are about 35 pounds each.

6) It’s easy to fold up to put it in the car or for storage. We saw someone with this wagon on spring break and ordered it on a Thursday. It was delivered the next day at our house in Michigan! Thank you, I love this wagon.

Horrible instructions had to watch a few YouTube videos to help. The seams are messy/sloppy made. Used the wagon several times so far so good. I did add on the service plan due to other reviews about the wheels cracking.

It is very bulky probably due to the weight limit of 125 lbs. I have twins and needed a more durable wagon than the fabric type.

The wagon itsself is great and is super durable, my kids absolutely love it. I love that it has a little storage basket underneath one of the seats and that it has multiple cupholders and seat belts.

However, it was terribly trying to understand the instructions when there was no wording included and just black and white photos on how to do it. Some of the photos were extremely confusing. I missed a step in the first part and we had to take the wagon apart halfway through and start over.

I purchased this wagon for our weekly zoo trips, for my 18mo old daughter, and 12 mo old granddaughter. It fits in the trunk of my sedan, with room left over. I used to use a double stroller for them, but it was too big to fit through the doorways, without having to have help opening both doors.

With this wagon, I don’t have to struggle opening 2 doors we just open one and walk inside. I gave it 4 stars, because I do wish the canopy was a teeny bit wider, and that there was a 2nd storage compartment.

But the canopy does come off easily, and there are cupholders so that’s a plus. It had a cute little functioning door, but the kids never use it they just climb right over the sides. Lol.

Very nice wagon for small children. It will likely last long enough for a couple of children’s use. It probably isn’t a life long wagon it you want to keep it for your grand kids. Bigger school age kids could probably break it eventually with rough play or over weight, but it seems sturdy and safe for little ones with no fear.

It has many storage compartments for miscellaneous spare items such as bottles etc. It is well made, and everything fit together well. It took about an hour to assemble, and required typical hand tools such as a hammer, screw driver, adjustable wrench, and one ratchet and socket.

I am very mechanically inclined, and it took a modest amount of skill. There are a few self tapping screws that took more than usual amount of effort to screw in by hand. A power screw driver or drill with screw driver bit will make the installation much easier.

The instructions are average, but helpful in several cases because of unique Left hand and Right hand parts. All decals came pre-applied.

I found the assembly process annoying and confusing at times. The instructions are not very clear (just images and numbers). Also, the plastic could have been a little more durable. Very easy to scratch.

But the wagon itself is great! Very versatile! I recommend it, but just be patient when putting it together.

Camping trips, sporting events/tailgating, going to the park or lake, the many kids sport practices/games, this is the perfect item to get us to our destination with less trips back and forth to the truck lugging chairs, coolers, sports equipment, groceries or anything you have with you.

The cart come already assembled and the handle is adjustable in length and clips upright to the frame which is great because it keeps it in a locked position. All four of the wheels can adjust 180 degrees and are not on a fixed angle/direction making maneuverability a piece of cake.

When the cart is in its folded position it has a cover with a handle to protect it. I was able to unfold and collapse the item back to a folded position with great ease.

This wagon is big and sturdy. It weighs more than I was expecting, but that isn’t a problem. It can handle all of my flea market stuff (tables, chair, jewelry trays, tent, etc. ) and not miss a beat.

It rolls well, even on gravel, and is an absolute back saver. I bought both this one and the Siena cart for comparison with plans to return one of them. I actually ened up keeping them both because they have so many uses.

The Siena is smaller and lighter and is more for every day use. This MAC cart is a bit heavy for me to keep in the car for every day use, but it is just PERFECT for my tough jobs. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is due to the lack of wheel locks.

They aren’t needed when the cart is open and in use. It definitely does not roll away from you. The locks are needed when the wagon is closed. This does not stand up on its own like the Siena wagon (probably due to its weight) and it rolls if you don’t have it wedged between two surfaces.

The only other option is to lie it down flat for storage, which takes up too much space. MAC, you have a great product, but you dropped the ball on that one feature. If not for that single design flaw, I would give this wagon 10 stars.

I got this wagon primarily to wheel our senior medium dog around but it’s been very useful carrying all sorts of props and materials from parking lots to event locations for outdoor adventure hunts. It’s very sturdy and seems to be working really well so far.

When there’s no weight in it, the front wheel wobbles a bit, which is a little annoying, but once there’s weight in it, it works fine. It’s really easy to folds up, with just one hand. However, it is a little heavier than I’d like, but I guess with 150lb weight maximum, it has to be sturdy.

The wagon seems solidly built. Wheels are big and perfect for the beach. has 150lb capacity according to the instruction manual but doesnt say on the box. What i find the biggest flaw is definitely the handle and the locking mechanism for the handle.

it is made of plastic and feels very flimsy cheap. I dont understand why they couldnt just make the handle metal and cover it with rubber or silicone and the locking mechanism more sturdy. I hope this wagon actually lasts for beach/camping use.

Strong enough for beach use or grocery. Wide tires help at beach sand. Not good for carrying kids around. Easy to fold.

Purchased for beach trip and was overall satisfied, but did not exceed expectations. Product rolls easily on grass, dirt, gravel and wet sand. However, the swiveling wheels tend to plow in dry, powdery sand when weighted down with a lot of stuff.

They also don’t swivel as well when they get sandy, so they have to be hosed out really good. Overall satisfied with the quality and price, and it still made it much easier to haul everything to the beach every day.

Product is fairly lightweight and collapses easily for storing.

This wagon is everything. We’ve been using it for 1. 5years now without issue. It’s been to the playground, beach, hike through woods, museums, farms, resorts, international Airport, through checked baggage, through planeside check, in another country and back! When we have long conferences or a long day at church, we have a blanket and pillow for our now toddler to take a nap.

It’s the best. Our 3 feet tall, 40 lb toddler slept for hours in this wagon as we made our way through international security, customs, and all the way to the gate. He would have been very irritable if awake through that treacherous journey.

Stateside they made us check the wagon but the international airline abroad allowed us the same permissions as a stroller. I get the sense that it all depends on who you talk to and what mood they’re in.

All I need to do now is to see how it responds to cleaning after all of what it’s been through!.

This is the worst. Not sure how the engineer that designed this let it out of his sight. Cheap cheap cheap. Basic ergonomics were overlooked. Short handle. I’m 5’-9” so basically as average as it gets.

The handles is extremely short. The handles is attached by these two bars that make no sense. All they do is provide a loose connection point alloying the wagon the track side to side as you walk. FN ridiculous.

Dumpster time. Her goes $60 and my pride. I thought I was better than this type of oversight in purchasing.

I bought this to haul all our gear to and from lacrosse tournaments and our town pool. It holds a lot of gear but the handle length is ridiculously short. I honestly don’t know how this passed approval to be mass produced.

Whoever is in charge of quality control should be fired. I’m average height for a woman and I have to bend down to reach the handle. It’s a perfect fit for my 10 year old daughter. It’s ridiculous.

This is a very cleverly designed camp/beach wagon. Not only is it very strong, but with a little effort and practice it folds up into a neat, upright small package for storage. It also has a drop-down tailgate and side flap for additional storage and cup holders.

I am very pleased with it so far. The purchase and delivery process were flawless.

I like everything about this cart. Unfolding and refolding is easy. It’s sturdy enough for my needs. Not too heavy. No problem with tightening the strap to secure it closed. Others spoke of that as being an issue but maybe the mfg changed the refolding method because it’s not hard to do.

Great value for the money! Bought to use for camping mainly. I used it this past week for hauling water to my site. i even Loaned it to a guy that bougt wood and groceries while out on his boat. He was happy to wagon all his stuff from boat dock to campsite! Easy to unfold and fold.

Radio Flyer provided our family with a free sample to test and try out. The product arrived well packaged in a sturdy box. Assembly was easy and took maybe 15 minutes with the help of my 3-year-old. The wagon feels sturdy and pulls very easily.

My son loves to both ride in the wagon, as well as take the wagon for a ride. This is great for when we go on walks, as it can alternatively provide something for him to do, or a place for him to sit and ride along so that we don’t have to carry him.

The wagon can be collapsed so it takes up relatively little space (though still bulky if you’re living in an apartment, for example), but is spacious enough for either two children, or one child and their toys or a cooler.

It is useful for lugging both a child and the groceries on a shopping trip and folded up it nicely fits in the trunk of our car, with room for the groceries to spare. The canopies provide good shade in the blazing sun, though these do feel a little flimsier than the rest of the wagon.

Also, my son can easily reach them and pull them any which way he wants, which means having to stop and adjust regularly. Fortunately, they can be folded back and out of the way easily as well. The option to unzip one of the sides and effectively turn the wagon into a bench is such a great option.

It provides a nice surface for my son to sit on, or to use as a surface to play on. Other useful features are: A good-sized bag on the back for diapers, snacks, wallets, toys, etc. Two bottle holders on the front that are especially usefully during the summer heat.

There are safety straps on both sides of the wagon, which are good enough to contain my son when needed. Aside from the somewhat flimsy canopies I only have two minor complaints about this wagon. Due to the size of the wheels, it is not as great on our driveway which consists of gravel.

The wagon runs great on most surfaces we have tried it on, but it struggles with surfaces that are looser, such as sand and gravel, especially when loaded with a child and all their stuff. Secondly, as a dad who is 6’6”, the handle is a little short, which means that I do tend to pull the wagon of its front wheels every now and then.

It would be better if the handle could be extended a little further. All in all, it’s a great wagon for the price and I am sure we’ll get a lot of use out of it. We bought a convertible stroller wagon a few years back, which has gotten a lot of (heavy) use and has held up well.

Radio Flyer provided me with this free wagon, but the opinions in this review are my own. My toddler loves the wagon. However he is easy to impress and loves anything on wheels. He happily pulled the wagon around the backyard to clean up his toys which I considered a win.

It was easy for a three year old to pull and turn. I also love the wagon and I am harder to impress. It folds up super easy with just the pull of a handle and when folded it is about the same size of a single stroller (full size stroller, not umbrella style).

My favorite feature is that the handle stays up, rather than falls to the ground! We took it on a picnic and I was surprised with how much it held and how easy it still rolled. The days of hauling our bags like a pack mule are over.

Since this is a flat bottom stroller I think it is great for holding bags, and it’s fine for pulling the kids too, but they have to sit cross legged or legs straight out. The canopies are similar in size and operation to the ones on an infant car seat; they easily can be tilted to block specifically the direction the sun is coming from while still leaving the sky visible.

If for some reason you are stuck in the rain you won’t have full coverage of the wagon though. The canopies remove easily if not needed. The wagon was left in our driveway during a rainstorm (folded up) and I was happy to learn that it didn’t collect water inside and dried relatively quickly.

This is going to get a ton of use in our house.

We have had this cart for about a year or so. We got it mainly to transport laundry from our apartment to the laundry room. My one pre-purchase suggestion is to get out your measuring tape and see just how big it is – it IS big.

By the time I put my laundry, purse, soaps, reading material, and folding chair into it, it doesn’t seem so big. For storage, we two elders can squeeze it up and put the cover on, but when just one of is doing it, I use the LLBean item Everyday Lightweight Tote to cover it – if I sit and squeeze the cart toward me, I can put this bag over it.

Easy-peasy and it looks nice. Probably not good if you are transporting the cart, as the bag would most likely slip off, but for sitting in the corner, it works just fine.

I bought this wagon from the Freeport store while on vacation. The wheel was a little squeaky, but we thought it just got some sand in it. It worked well to cart things to the beach, but once it was on sand it is really difficult to pull.

When we got it home, we used it twice to carry our 1 year old and some towels to the pool. The second time we used it, the plastic tread broke off of the tire. The size of the cart is great, but rubber tires would make this better!.

As expected from L. L. Bean, the quality of this wagon is excellent. I love all of the additional pockets it has. The cup holders hold big water bottles and are deep enough to handle taller ones, as well.

The wheels are sturdy and make heavy loads easy to haul. I have used this wagon almost every day since I purchased it. And this weekend, we are taking it for its first beach day! This was a great purchase and I highly recommend it.

Also, pro tip, when you go to store it, I find that because of the extra pockets, giving it a big bear hug brings it in tight enough to easily fasten with the strap and the cover fits on more easily, too.
