I have never used a roller to compare it to and found it very helpful. I have got it for the stiff hip flexors that were caused by piriformis syndrome. It is really painful and causes sciatica as well.
These rollers didn’t help with the exact piriformis pain but I have found a way for it to help and it did. First roll hip flexors, then the side hip muscles and thigh muscles. It immediately gives some relief with the tightness (it was always very very tight before I started rolling).
I will then do the strengthening exercises to activate my glute muscles. Overtime my piriformis muscle pain reduced that was going on for 4 months. I just have an injection today as well because the pain isn’t going away and I still have mobility issues but this sure did help calming those tight muscles.
Stop reading and buy this! If you’re reading this you’re might be wondering if foam rolling is right for you- YES- yes it is! I had back problems for years- desk job, working out here and there. This year I had my shoulder blade push a rib out of place (or some weird back thing that made it feel like Satan himself was residing in my core)- went to chiropractor who told me I had to come back 8 times.
Meanwhile, around the same time I had been amping up my workouts and felt so defeated that I had to stop. I figured foam rolling couldn’t hurt. It seriously has changed my life- not just saying that.
I had tried so many things and nothing helped the back pain. I roll my back once in the morning and once before bed- it cracks my back and rolls my sore muscles. I can’t recommend this enough! My quality of life has definitely improved!.
At my gym, we use foam rollers after workouts to massage and stretch the muscles. I wanted one for home since it’s also great for self massaging your back, legs, arms, etc, wherever you can reach with the roller on the floor! My gym uses these pro source ones so i bought the same thing.
They are stiff enough that they don’t lose shape and they don’t dent from your body weight. The styrofoam also doesn’t flake and peel so thats great. At my gym we wipe these down with the antibac wipes and those are still fine after being used and wiped multiple times a day.
At home I don’t really wipe it down. It doesn’t smell, and has a slightly shiny smooth surface. Good size and it rolls easily. Satisfied with my purchase!.

I have rollers and massagers of all types. This one is now near the top of my list. Best uses for me are along the spine, neck, and calf/lower leg. For those who don’t like deep tissue massages or a little good pain when rolling, this probably isn’t great for you.
Worth a try for the price though. Travels well too.
It’s not super soft but quite honestly, I think it’s good that it’s as firm as it is. I swear I have permanent knots on my back and after an intense few days of working out, I caved and bought this. Not only did it make me feel sooo much better, but it continuously pops my back! I feel absolutely amazing after using this thing!.
Fragmented discs and a damaged sciatic nerve have put a real focus on rolling, rolfing and mobility this past year. I wanted a step up from my 2. 5″ mobility balls and this totally does the trick for hips, TFL and IT, channel rolling the spine, midback/lats, and neck.
Plus easier to travel with than a large roller. Steller addition to our home gym and routine!.

I bought this for my daughter in law who grabs my roller to use whenever she comes to visit. She loves this foam roller. It’s long enough and has a touch of give on the surface. She’s got back injuries from long ago gymnastics.
She rolls on it frequently to release the tensions. Her daughters love it too. Great purchase.
When I bought this item, I had just been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. My back was in such an angry state of pain that the mere thought of lying on a hard roller was literally unbearable. I could see before I bought it that this roller was kind of “squishy”.
I reasoned that it would be less uncomfortable than a completely rigid roller, such as SPRI or Prosource make. Boy, was I wrong! This “roller”, simply stated, does not roll! It squishes flat underneath my torso and only grudgingly rolls at all with exertion of the greatest possible effort.
If I use it on a hard surface, like the laminate floors in my home, it simply skids across the floor. If I use it on a resilient surface, such as a carpet or exercise mat, it grips the ground enough to roll just a bit when I push as hard as I can with my legs.
Admittedly, I’m not a small man. I stand 6′-6″ tall and weigh about 250#. I suppose that one could argue that I simply squish the poor thing flat and leave it at that. However, I have used those other manufacturers’ foam rollers–like Champion, Voit, SPRI and Prosource–and they don’t squish flat.
They roll effortlessly across the floor. This includes the ones with little spiky things protruding from their surfaces, like massage fingers or ridges. Those ones accomplish the “comfort from resilience” that I was trying to derive from this one’s initial squishiness–without sacrificing their ease and efficacy of use.
I have lower back tension/some degenerative arthritis. Some sciatica/leg/knee issues due to the tension. Things are just out of whack. I bought this at a health food store last week and it was the BEST 25.
00 I have ever spent. First it popped my back and put some things back into alignment just laying on it. Then I worked it down to my lower back. Was doing leg lifts with my lower back/buttocks resting on it.
I ain’t gonna lie. When you have sore muscles and tension, your body weight on this and other similar products they sell hurts. You just have to breath through it. I used this on my lower back for two days and immediately noticed a difference in tension and ability to not walk like a crippled 90 year old.
(actually noticed it after the first use). I have yet to try the instructional/exercise DVD that came with it, but plan to. With this sale, I just purchased another to keep at the office and one with the ripples to see if it does anything different.
If you have it and it hurts, don’t give up. Breath through it. I am overweight and not in shape.
The Trigger Point STK Contour Massage Stick serves as an ingenious tool for relieving tension and soothing painful muscles after a strenuous workout or uncomfortable seating situation, such as long flights in coach class where you’re all cramped up.
Its flexible, muscle-wrapping design places nine foam spindles around your sore spots, allowing you to relieve tension by moving the massage stick back and forth with just enough pressure. Each spindle individually targets key muscle groups with enough flexibility to conform, yet it’s not overly squishy, meaning it still digs into those stubborn muscles.
Trigger Point recommends using it on especially sore areas, such as the calf, hamstring, quadriceps, and back. For convenience, you can use this massage stick while seated or standing for use at work and home alike.
Additionally, you’ll find its relatively compact nature is travel-friendly and easily fits in a mid-sized backpack.
If you have tight muscles whether its your back or legs. this works great! My wife has had leg and hip problems for a year now. I used this on her legs, for about 5 mins each, every night for about a week.
She now has hardly any pain in either leg or hip due to tight muscles. We are in our mid 50s and found this to be a lifesaver.
I love this roller. I own more than 10 handheld massage rollers. I grabbed for this 1 1st. It’s the best because it’s light, contours to your muscle, And the Rollers are the perfect density to massage gentle or deep.
, I. e. Soft enough for gentle work and Hard enough For deep tissue.
The TriggerPoint GRID X Foam Roller is designed for anyone who simply wants to move around easier. From beginners to advanced users, it can address the body’s toughest, tightest trouble spots for relief from intense aches and pains.
The sports foam roller is made with a three-dimensional surface of varied widths meant to replicate the feeling of a massage therapist’s hands. The unique pattern allows the tissue to relax as you roll and promotes the flow of blood and oxygen responsible for carrying nutrients needed to repair muscle.
With a hollow core that is wrapped in extra-firm EVA foam, the TriggerPoint GRID X Foam Roller is twice as firm as traditional foam rollers. The GRID X measures 13 inch long and 5. 5 inch in diameter, and has been weight tested to support up to 550 pounds of static load.
It is a wonderful choice for taking with you on the go. The TriggerPoint foam roller features a firmer density ideal for athletes or experienced users who prefer intense compression. With a design that uses less foam, the TriggerPoint GRID X Foam Roller is an environmentally friendly tool for enhancing your health.
The hard core allows for constant use without breaking down.
I ordered both the orange regular Grid roller and the Grid X to compare stiffness and I ended up keeping the Grid X only. I found the regular Grid roller to be almost as soft as my old blue foam roller (but the Grid is much better quality).
The Grid X is stiff enough to massage the bigger muscle groups (calf, back). It does not hurt more because it is stiffer (this actually depends on the level of pressure applied, not on roller stiffness).
I find it much easier to use and more effective than a softer roller. I’m very satisfied with this roller and I appreciate the grid pattern.
The Athletic Works High-Density Foam Rollers are a great addition to any Fitness routine. The Athletic High-Density Foam Roller is perfect muscle therapy tool for self-massage, gentle stretching, mobilization of joints and spinal stabilization.

I decided to start using a resistance band in my workout routine since I’ve heard so much about them and how great they are. I recently received this Athletic Works resistance tube in Extra Heavy and I added it to my workout routine.
The first thing that is so great about resistance bands is the fact you can literally use them for an all over body workout. This band is very long which I find to be a huge plus. You can easily adapt the length of this to be used for upper body workouts by standing on it, or for lower body workouts.
You can even use this for core body workouts if you tie it to a doorknob or other stationary item. I loved the fact that inside the box was some different suggestions and ideas for workouts and ways to use the resistance band for different body parts like arms, legs, shoulders, and core.
The other great thing about this resistance band was how the handles were padded and comfortable during my workouts. There was no discomfort when using this band to workout because there was proper cushion on my hands during use.
The last thing I really liked about this band was the extra heavy resistance level. I love how strong this was and felt like it was very effective and just the amount I needed to feel challenged. It wasn’t too soft and easy but it wasn’t so hard that it was impossible either, but I do consider myself to be active.
Overall I liked this band and I really enjoyed adding it to my routine, and will keep using it for a long time. If you are looking for a heavy weight resistance band and are unsure about this one I would definitely recommend giving this one a shot.
Physical therapists, trainers, and athletes use foam rollers to relieve muscular pain and tightness (“adhesions”, “knots”, or “trigger points”). But conventional foam rollers have smooth, hard surfaces that further compress soft tissue.
They improve blood flow and flexibility, but the effect is limited unless you spend a lot of time rolling. – The RumbleRoller was created to perform a more effective therapy. – The RumbleRoller Manipulates Soft Tissue – Like a Massage Therapist! The RumbleRoller contains specially designed bumps that are firm, but flexible, much like the thumbs of a massage therapist.
– As you roll over the RumbleRoller, the bumps knead the contours of your body, gently stretching soft tissue (muscle and fascia) in multiple directions. This erodes trigger points, restores flexibility, and relieves muscular pain.
– The extra-firm version (black) is intended for experienced users with dense muscle tissue that doesn’t respond to normal massage pressure. This item is is 31 x 6 and is available in black.
I bought this (blue) roller as I had been using it a lot at my gym. It may look oversized, however that is one of the things that makes this roller so good – it allows a lot of movement to ensure you can get good muscle coverage without running out of roller.
It also enables double leg rolling, which is good for saving time, but also spreading pressure in instances where you don’t need such intense massage. It’s really long-lasting without any deterioration of the foam.
The blue is perfect for me – still lots of rigidity to hit deep tissue. Would recommend for those who regularly use foam rollers, and who want a medium-firm pressure without causing intense pain!.
All variations of the Roller are made from high-quality, expanded polypropylene foam (EPP). This durable material produces a massaging roller that reliably holds its shape and delivers consistent, deep tissue therapy— helping athletes recover faster and g.
Bought the standard version and worked well, but broke in the middle and started to crumble within a year and I only use it occasionally. Maybe the high strength one is better, but i opted to use a hand held hard roller instead for when I really need to do some rolling.
Everything else I’ve purchased from Rogue has been superb and typically higher quality and durability that others, but this foam roller wasn’t any better than other brands.
I have a hard time finding a massage therapist that can dig deep enough into my muscles to relieve my hip and shoulder pain. My wife walks on my back and sometimes even jumps up and down on me to help relieve my pain.
This thing is just the right firmness and its easy to control the pressure with my own body weight. If you are creative you can even reach a lot of the spots that are awkward for hands and feet such as your hips, tailbone and between your shoulders.
I bought the 36 inch ultra firm as many normal density rollers loose their density quickly this one does not and if you have been rolling for a while you will appreciate the firmness. I plan to buy another as I left my other one at my daughters so I will keep that one there for my visits.
I bought one of these black foam rollers from Amazon 5 years ago. I use it daily for an hour to an hour and a half. This is the most important price of exercise equipment you will ever buy. It is crucial that we all use foam rollers to break up the adhesions that form in our muscles and keep us from moving as we should.
Pros : affordable. Easy to use Cons : too dense for beginners. Beginners should use white rollers. Not as stiff as I would prefer given I have been rolling for so long. I have graduated to the because it gives me more of a challenge.

I have always used the the rollers provided at my gym, so when the gyms closed for the pandemic I was frantically trying to find one that was well priced and worked. I got lucky with finding this item as it’s strong enough to support my 220 Lbs everyday.
Highly recommend this as a travel companion as well since it’s not too large and can fit in a back pack.

This bundle features four different sized wheels for optimal back and neck pain relief and muscle recovery. The 12” Gentle delivers a wonderful stretch and light massage, the 10” Firm adds a little more pressure to help you massage those problem areas along the spine, the 6” Deep Tissue digs in deep to get rid of your toughest knots, and the 4” Focus targets key pressure points in your neck to reduce tension headaches and relieve neck pain.
I saw these on a social media site and they seemed like a good idea. I thought that maybe they could help with some back issues I’d been having and I was right! Rarely do I take time to write reviews (I can be lazy lol) but these Chirp wheels are great! I had to figure out how to use them, first lol and I only used them one time but from what I can tell my posture is already better.
It is like giving yourself a deep tissue massage – with pressure and all because you’re using your own weight! I tried the biggest Chirp first, then the other three. I enjoyed the 12′ the most. I relaxed my body and kind of curved my spine as I laid on it and rolled with it.
After a while, it just felt natural doing it. I was shocked! My spine cracked, a lot. Initially, it was uncomfortable, Soon though I felt the relief. Already, I’m walking and sitting upright much more easily and naturally.
The back ache I was having is gone! I’m a little concerned that the Chirp wheels will break under me, being a little over 200 lbs. And no information came with it, regarding weight capacity. I’d still prefer it if Chirp Wheels were made of some kind of metal though.
They’re not and that’s disappointing, which is why I’m giving Chirp 4 stars, instead of 5. Other than that, I love Chirp! Angela W.
Before Chirp, I was going to the chiro 3x week, acupuncture 1x week and massage therapy 1x+ month for sciatica. Constant pain. Plus treatment is a pretty penny. I use the largest Chirp roller for a full back stretch with my arms out like airplanes.
Second largest specifically for lower back. Second to smallest for my lumbar region, and the tiny but mighty for focused pain relief along my sciatic nerve. While Chirp has *not* replaced my treatment, it has helped me reduce its frequency + subsequent associated costs.
Needless to say, this investment has already paid for itself. Chirp’s ad of transforming ‘Karen’ back to her original ‘Sharon’ self is too relevant… almost unnerving how much so. Word to the bird? Chirp is the truth.
The AWARD WINNING Rollga foam rollers are the best deep tissue massage products for stabilizing your hips, aligning your back, increasing range-of-motion, and reversing pain caused from shin splints.
Rollga foam rollers are also ideal for muscle recovery. Ordinary foam rollers cause discomfort and pain due to the unfitting design. Rollga foam rollers are designed with contours that FIT YOUR BODY and reach trigger points that are difficult to reach with an ordinary roller.
Rollga foam rollers are high-quality foam rollers that bring regeneration to damaged muscle tissue by influencing circulation of oxygen-rich blood flow. Our entire body is filled with connective tissue called fascia.
Just like anything in our body, connective tissue degenerates and breaks down over time. The degeneration of fascia can be accelerated with repetitive overuse, stress or injury. Rollga foam rollers help to prevent fascia from becoming unhealthy, thus restoring your mobility.
Rollga foam rollers are the most effective and comfortable foam rollers you will ever own! Rollga foam rollers have a unique patented design that cradles your body for quick results with more comfort and ease.
Rollga foam rollers bypass bone structure (such as the spine, shins, and hips) to unlock hard to access trigger points. Rollga foam rollers also allow for muscle displacement to ensure the muscle fibers are guided and protected from the damaging shifts and pressure.
At 18 inches, Rollga is big enough to treat your whole body and small enough to fit in your backpack for EZ travel. Stop – Drop & Rollga!.
Most rollers are fine for general massage of large body areas such as the upper back. The Rollga does this and a whole lot more. The grooves allow you to work right up to joints such as thigh to hip, and the bumps allow continuing pressure to release trigger points.
Featherweight to travel without weighing you down. If you use a roller to release tension or relax muscles, this is not just another textured cylinder!.
My husband works at a college and was able to borrow a Rollga from the athletic trainer. We were sold after using it and then went on the hunt to order one for ourselves. The unique shape of the roller puts pressure right where you need it, making it incredibly versatile.
I have numerous foam rollers of various shapes and sizes. This one sits a little higher and is pretty dense. I find its a little easier to get at deeper tissue and isolate trigger points. Its very versatile.
Ive found it useful for rolling my back , shoulders and lats as well as hamstrings , glutes, calves , quads and hips.
The foam roller is an excellent tool for neck and shoulder pain relief. It is able to provide a deep tissue massage, which can help to loosen knots and trigger points. It can also help to increase blood flow and circulation to the area, which can speed up the healing process.
