I purchased the unit to possibly replace a small self-powered 800 milliwatt transmitter, which I could pick up around 2 miles away but had to use mono because stereo would be noisy. Not only did this Whole House unit give at least the same range, it did so more powerfully and with a clean stereo signal, and operated reliably for as long as I cared to use it whether a few hours or all day.

Like other basic-level units it is susceptible to grounding hum. I was able to eliminate it using clean power and carefully arranging my cables. It is also susceptible to overload problems so it’s necessary to find a “sweet spot” on incoming levels.

Once I fine-tuned these two calibrations I got clean reliable stereo signal with a range of up to five miles.

This works excellent and we can use it for our entire house and even tune in from separate outbuildings while this is transmitting from the house. The sound quality is good though we have had some static/interference at times, but between broadcast stations and a variety of electronic and wireless devices, I can’t conclude that this device is responsible for the static.

It does what we hoped it would do. We can play music and/or sermons and listen to it when going from room to room. We do not want our children listening to secular music which glorifies the very behavior we are training them to avoid.

Having a quality playlist available helps us with this also.

Didn’t work for me. Needed it to transmit about 20′ through a sheetrock wall to my stereo. While some sound came through it was not crisp and volume was low. I went to a BT transmitter & receiver. Hooked a splitter to a laptop & use 2 transmitters.

One to the stereo & one to a BT speaker on the patio when I want music outside. BT transmitter signal passes through the same sheetrock wall and an outside door through the glass about 30-35 ft away.

BT equipment will run 5-6 hrs on a charge or you can keep them plugged in while using. Same for the speaker.

You plug it in and you first connect it to your phone. That compares to connecting other Bluetooth devices. It went without a problem. First you choose a frequency on your radio that’s not in use. Then you “tune” the transmitter to that frequency.

The little knob has a lot of functionality for just one knob. When “connecting” to your radio you use it to change the frequency the transmitter uses. After set up, you turn it right and you go to the next song (or previous song when turning it either left).

You turn right and hold the knob and the volume will go up (or down when turning and holding it left). You push the knob and the song will stop or start playing. When I start my car, the device will automatically connect to my phone.

When plugging in a USB stick with MP3 music, the device starts playing the music. When stopping the car, the device will resume at the last song that was played when starting to drive again. That being said, I’d also like to give the manufacturer some useful feedback: – This version has the display below the knob.

In my car the transmitter is positioned further down and the knob is in the way of the display. – When someone else recorded something for me, the volume of the recording can be pretty low and that’s something I can’t change.

In these cases I’d like to be able to turn the volume of the transmitter up more than I can now. With MP3 songs the volume is good. – It once happened that I was parked, that I had the radio tuned to another station and that I made a call.

I didn’t hear the other side. It took me a while to figure out that my phone was connected to the transmitter, that the transmitter was “sending” the other side’s voice to the radio frequency, but that the radio was tuned to another station/frequency.

In cases like this I’d like to be able to turn the transmitter off. Maybe push and hold the knob to do this? Maybe these suggestions have been addressed in the meanwhile. Compared to a cassette thing that you insert into the cassette player of your radio with a cable that you plug into your phone or iPod, this is a MUCH better solution.

With this device there’s no cable hanging in your car and there’s no hassle of plugging or unplugging cables into your phone either. That’s why I can recommend the device to friends and family. PS: I never write reviews, but this device deserves one! :).

Bought this when my old FM transmitter and aux cord stopped working in my car, and I’m never going back! I love how it’s wireless and connects via Bluetooth, which means I don’t have to have my phone tethered to a cord anymore.

The instructions to turn on the transmitter and skip to the right music station are pretty easy after you read the instructions. One tip I recommend- have the bluetooth on your phone already turned on before you turn on your car.

When I try to connect once the car is on, it doesn’t like to connect so I have to take out the transmitter and put it back in. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints and am very happy with my purchase! Worth it!.

Bought this a couple years ago and had it for about 3 1/2 to 4 years. I accidentally damaged it recently so I decided to buy another one because this one works very good! Set up is easy and after the first time it automatically connects to my phone after I turn my car on.

I only use it for music purposes and I love it. Music sounds very nice and I’ve never had an issue with it. For phone calls you might have to buy a different one as the caller on the other line won’t hear you properly.

It is worth the $30 and the quality is far better than other ones I’ve had.

This thing works super good with my metal detector. I used it to enable wireless audio to a headset. You just need a portable radio with Vernier tuning. I’m using a Philco Model 300K. This is a real inexpensive way to have a wireless headset.

Your metal detector needs to have a 1/8 inch stereo phone jack or an adaptable feature. I attached the transmitter using industrial strength Velcro. (Last five UPC code is 90982) I had success my first time out in the woods.

No more wires tangling in the branches. Great freedom! I ordered and tried smaller scanning FM radios with very poor results. (Terrible “radio hash” interference. ) I had to be more than 30 feet away from the transmitter with the radio for the detector sound to be heard.

The Nissan car stereo never had that “radio hash”, and the detector sound could be picked up more than 100 feet away. I have no explanation as to why.

This is a great handy device if your car cigarette lighter isn’t working! Brilliant as it’s battery powered, only downside is my Samsung Galaxy s20+ phone needs a usb-c / aux adapter so there is slight feedback/noise through my cars speakers.

But that’s due to my phone and not this device.

I bought one of these to listen to the music on my phone through the radio in my car whilst driving. Compared to the old one I used to use the quality on this one is very good; not much static/interference if tuned in properly.

I had to replace it after a few days though as it just stopped working, tried changing the batteries but still no luck. The second one that I have has now stopped working as well, and I have no idea why.

It’s a good product but doesn’t seem to last very long. I’d recommend keeping your receipt if you buy one of these just in case you have the same problems.

Great sound, no noise whatsoever, easy to use, Bluetooth works well. Issues: cannot go to next folder. You just need to next next next many mp3’s to the next folder. Turning on bluetooth, my phone connects to it and I can talk on whatsapp, but when google maps gives me instructions, I don’t hear anything.

If you turn your car off in middle of an mp3 playing, then turn it back on, it will start the mp3 from beginning. This can become annoying if you are listening to a long mp3. Cannot fast forward an mp3.

Only next-previous. Can pause it though. NO USB !!! Only Bluetooth BT, Auxiliary AUX and Micro memory. Charger is good. Though 2 holes would have been better.

Less than $20. 00 and sounds like a factory installed bluetooth unit in my 2004 Lexus. I’ve been using the AUX cord up until now and wanted something to go wireless but still have the same good CD quality audio.

I have a 2006 Mazda Miata Grand Touring with a factory Bose stereo system that I keep at my second home on Maui Hawaii. I have over 5000 songs on my iPhone and was looking for a way to listen to my music while doing my top down island cruising.

This device was the perfect solution. It is easy to use and the sound quality is excellent. The hands free phone capability is also very good even with the top down and a nice bonus since holding a smart phone to your ear while driving will land you a ticket on Maui.

The price, compact size and charging options are awesome. I would have paid 4 times the price for this device. I noticed that several reviewers mentioned that the pulsing light ring is annoying and that it could not be turned off.

That is not true. It can easily be turned off by holding down the BASS button for a few seconds. I installed my unit upside down so that the buttons are on top for easier use. I turn the BASS feature on and off (which can easily be done) depending on the chosen music.

Some of my music already has a lot of bass making this feature unnecessary.

So my car has Bluetooth for the phone system but not for entertainment such as music. This is the perfect solution and so easy to set up and begin utilizing. This is my second Bluetooth device for such an application and this device outshines the previous device 10 fold.

Easy to install. Works seamlessly without any initiation needed each time you wish to utilize the device. It’s just ready to go. Sound quality is great, especially the bass booster feature. Highly recommend as a cost effective solution for an older car’s Bluetooth system.

So far I love the way this one works with its volume control knob and it’s bass boost button. The only two problems I’ve found with it at all so far is that after you shut your vehicle off and it disconnects from your Bluetooth device as it Powers down, it does not automatically reconnect to your device so you have to manually go into your Bluetooth menu and find it and reconnect it.

The only other issue is there is not a track skip button on it, so you can play pause but not skip tracks if you’re listening in a music app. Other than that the sound quality is absolutely perfect and better than anyone that I have tried so far for passing lower frequency through so you get the full range of music.

Great product. Using it for Drive Up Church Services during COVID19. Tune to any unused channel, and hook it up to the Band’s mixer, and Voila’, you’ve got broadcast Church. Great product. Works exactly as expected.

Our application is a church outdoor worship service. An excellent product. appears to be well made, clean signal, reasonable range, worked great right out of the box in which it was well packaged. A minor item was the fact that most of the connections are RCA type and our stuff is mostly 1/4 inch.

Works great. First test I did, plugged into our record player. Then got in my truck and drove down the street and could still hear it. About 8 houses away it started to get more static. Plan on using it for outdoor movie projection.

I collect classic portable stereos (“boomboxes”) from the 1980s and they have very poor reception of my two favorite FM stations in most of the rooms of my house. I recently moved to a three bedroom townhouse in a very hilly area and FM reception for any radio or tuner is now very poor compared to in my old house.

The FM reception is good in one upstairs bedroom that I use as a home office though so I use a Hitachi TRK-6700 boombox in there for background music while I’m working. I connected the line output on that boombox to the line input of my C.

Crane FM transmitter and then used that to broadcast the FM station that the Hitachi boombox is tuned in to throughout my 1776 square foot, two story townhouse where it can be picked up by the other boomboxes in my collection.

I did have to do some work to get the FM signal to reach out to every room in my house though. Initially, right out of the box, the output signal strength of my transmitter was extremely disappointing.

It could not even reach out to all of the upstairs master bedroom that was adjacent to my office where the FM transmitter was located in. The FM signal started to weaken at a distance of only about twenty feet, which was completely unacceptable for me.

I opened my transmitter to increase the output signal but the potentiometer inside my transmitter was already turned to its maximum setting from the factory. Since turning up the potentiometer was not an option for my unit, I then tried a few other tricks that were suggested online.

I replaced the original 5 Volt power adapter with a 6 Volt one and that noticeably increased the output signal strength. (The input power for the FM Transmitter 2 is rated at three to six Volts. ) If you decide to do the same thing, please note that the FM Transmitter 2 requires a power adapter with a plug that has a negative tip, which is a little more unusual compared to one with a positive tip.

I used a universal power adapter with seven output Voltages, one Amp of current, and a plug tip polarity switch and it worked perfectly. I also moved the FM transmitter to the corner of my home office upstairs that was closest to the center of my house and that also helped a lot.

Previously it was located on a shelf that was along the inside of an exterior wall of my house, as far away from the center of my house as possible and in that location the FM signal did not reach out to every room downstairs.

Originally I also put the transmitter on the floor of my office, which is upstairs, and the FM signal still could not reach out to all the adjacent upstairs master bedroom even after making the two changes (new adapter and relocating the transmitter) that I mentioned before.

I moved the transmitter off the floor and on to a shelf about three and a half feet up from the floor and that substantially increased its range so that now the FM signal reaches out to every upstairs room, including all of the master bedroom, just fine.

The FM signal had no problem with covering all of the downstairs rooms. One thing that I must also mention is that the FM frequency that C. Crane provided for my area via their online Vacant FM Frequency Search Tool on their website was 93.

1. That was the only frequency that they said was “good” in my area. To my surprise, when I tuned my FM transmitter to 93. 1 it caused annoying and very noticeable static in my Hitachi boombox when it was tuned into one of the two stations that I like, which was at 98.

5. My other favorite station at 107. 7 was not affected at all. As soon as I turned off my FM transmitter, the audible static at 98. 5 disappeared instantly. I never saw this interference mentioned in other reviews of this C.

Crane FM transmitter so I do not know if I am the only one experiencing it. Just be aware that though C. Crane lists the large number of FM broadcast frequencies as a selling point for the FM Transmitter 2, you may not be able to use all of those frequencies if you are using your unit like I am to broadcast FM stations received by another radio.

I solved the problem by setting my unit to 90. 8 and that frequency is static-free. So after all this experimentation, now I have good FM reception of my two favorite stations throughout all of my house.

Sound quality-wise, the stations do not sound any different to my ears with the FM transmitter added to the signal chain but please keep in mind that I am listening to these stations with old, outdated boomboxes that had extremely low sound quality when they were brand new in the 1980s.

They are not “high quality audio” at all and never were even when they were new so please keep that in mind. If you are a fellow boombox collector, then this C. Crane FM Transmitter 2 just might help solve your FM reception problems.

It worked great for my specific use and I am happy with it. It just took me quite a bit of experimentation and “fiddling” first to get it to work out for me. Once I got all that sorted out, then I was happy with my purchase.

This transmitter has a very short range. It may cover your room, but it’s not going to cover your house, unless you have a studio Apt. I wish there was a mono/stereo switch and a AGC on it. That would help with the poor signal to noise ratio when trying to listen to it for more than 5 feet away.

You must find a super clear frequency and have a very sensitive and selective receiver for this to work at all. For some reason you cannot use 87. 9 or 88. 1. Those are the most popular clear channels other transmitters tend to use as their default.

Those are the only clear frequencies in my area. The signal to noise ratio (even when next to it) is not that good either. Maybe 40 or 50 dB at best. You might be able to get a little better range on it you attach a cliplead to the antenna.

This might make it somewhat listenable in the next room.

I’ve been using C Crane transmitters for probably 20 years or more. They allow me to go all over the house and sometimes outside listening to my WiFi radio or the television. I transmit to a pocket radio with earbuds.

That way I don’t bother anyone by listening to them. I live in WV in a very small, isolated town now where I cannot get any radio stations that are close enough to get a decent signal. My WiFi radio and transmitter lets me listen to radio stations all over the U.

S. and further away privately.

It is nice that it has a case, power adaptor & cables. But either the low wattage output is what gives me issue or the loose connection of the BNC style antenna. Also the volume adjustment is not very fluid.

On the good side would be the tuning for the frequency. It stays true. Small and compact and once you get the input set right works fine.

I currently own three FM transmitters for mobile drive in movies. This one is super easy to use. It also comes with great trouble shooting instructions to help if your transmission isn’t clear. Would recommend.

Previously I had an analog kit I built myself. Though it worked, it was not without it’s problems. It’s nice to know that now, years later, there are open-box solutions that are affordable, and provide great quality with reliable, crisp, digital tuning! I couldn’t be happier.

I have an older version of this that has worked perfectly for a few years for me. As of late, the older version was dying by not being able to get power unless I shimmied/turned it to get power. Bought this newer version thinking it would be as efficient as the last version, but it failed to meet all expectations.

From the first time I connected to bluetooth, the channel I connected to would still have white noise when the old product would connect to the channel and cut out all sound/frequencies. When I tried to connect to a different channel, and it wouldn’t catch the frequency and my radio would skip over the desired frequency.

I figured I would just try the channel I had saved from the previous version of this product and see if it “warmed up” but it would lose the signal slightly and other frequencies would encroach on what I was listening to.

With all said, the charging was great. I didn’t get to test it with a call but with all the problems I was having, it probably wasn’t going to be productive anyways. I just want this to work because I like Anker products, but it doesn’t live to expectations.

This thing is great. It always connects like a champ automatically. It really works well to overpower any signals nearby the station you are using and comes in clean and clear. When you are traveling and a station is right on the chosen station you can easily adjust your broadcast signal.

The best bonus about it is that one of the usb ports can take a thumb drive full of music and play it. It only plays them in order though, so I wrote a script that randomly assigned a name to the track so I had a sudo-random radio station on a 128gb thumb.

It also takes phone calls and the mic on it is pretty decent. Unfortunately it does not seem to broadcast the incoming signal very loud so you have to turn your radio up to hear them and it can be jarring when the call ends and music comes back on.

But that is the only drawback I have found. I have used this for almost a couple years now and it continues to work great.

This device is useful only if you don’t mind background hissing noise and if you’re driving around town, using the same radio stations. I bought it for a 10-hr road trip. One hour into the trip, the station I had originally tuned to no longer worked.

I couldn’t fuss with it because I was driving and it was plugged into the only available power source on my dash, which is under the dash on the passenger side. It would have been a safety hazard to try and re-tune.

I’m fairly certain I would have been better off putting a little bluetooth speaker on the front seat instead of trying to play through my car radio. In terms of customer service, I missed the return window by 4 days and Best Buy kept me hanging on live chat for 10 minutes to eventually tell me that they couldn’t extend the return period for this, even though the 3-month extended holiday return period had started just 7 days after I bought my item.

This adds “boo” to my “hiss”.

I bought this after our line in on our car radio broke. After reading reviews, I had high hopes. It is, without a doubt, the best transmitter in terms of sound quality and transmission strength that I’ve used.

Unfortunately, all that is negated by the fact that it’s very unreliable. After a few months of use, it won’t work at all now unless I squeeze the sides of the device. The on/off switch on the right side is also finicky, and won’t stay on unless I manually push it upwards against the plastic case.

Having read the other reviews that the audio chord has a tendency to break, we took good care of it. We made sure not to bend or drop it. The only thing I can think of is that I left it in the glove box on a few cold winter nights.

Even so, it should be able to handle that. I plan to return the device shortly.

The rental truck my wife was driving didn’t have a 3. 5 mm “Aux In” to connect her portable Sirius XM to the dash radio. This wireless transmitter connected right into the Satellite Radio power stand, making it convenient so she could hear music and talk radio across the country without static or drop outs! We love this thing!!.

I purchased this to plug into a laptop headphone jack to amplify Digital over-the-air TV broadcast audio on the FM stereo in our RV. This works well for our needs (a lot better than the lowly laptop speaker), and can be potentially used for other devices equipped with a Stereo 3.

5 mm female (audio out) jack. e. g. MP3 players, etc. I wanted a portable alternative to the cigarette lighter FM transmitters that need to be physically inserted/anchored in a female lighter jack.

I bought two of these at the same time for my husband and myself. After about three weeks the connection of one of the transmitters became loose, so every time I hit a bump my IPod would come off. Depending on what part of the city I’m in there is little to no static.

I exchanged the broken one for a new one and have had no problems with that one. My husband’s worked fine all along, so I think it might be a hit or miss item since one other reviewer reported the same kind of problem.

Walmart is really good about exchanging damaged items.

Horrible product, I had used it for maybe ten minutes then all the sudden it cut out and restarted. It took forever to find a station to use and start up then when it finally did it played for a couple minutes then restarted again.

I would not recommend anyone to use this let alone buy it, it is being returned and I am purchasing a different brand and from a different place.

This product was just okay. I have had it for about a week and had a few problems. I am having problems docking my itouch while driving. For some reason the connection is loose and I have to keep adjusting it while driving especially on rough roads.

I do get static feedback but it is minimal. My biggest problem is the poor manufacturing of the product. The tip of the charger that plugs into the power outlet comes off when pulling it out of the outlet.

Purchased for my 2007 vehicle. Enabled the ability for bluetooth audio instead of relying on an adapter to aux cable. Sounds clear and there is no delays when watching videos. I used a short aux cable to connect to the side on the ROAV aux input.

I also purchased for my other vehicle which is 2004. On that vehicle there is no aux input so I use the FM channel to listen to my music/podcasts/etc. It is better than nothing. The static can get annoying sometimes and there are moments when a radio station will get through your audio.

You have to switch FM station to find an unused channel. Nothing hard but it can be annoying. Nonetheless, I am happy with the purchase. Charging is great too. Supports fast charging (USB-C).

My husband bought me my dream car when I found out I had breast cancer. It was a car I wanted new back in 2003. Needless to say, even luxury cars lacked Bluetooth then. So while I figure out how I’d like to upgrade my stereo, this has been a life saver for pairing with my phone.

I can still listen to my podcasts, etc. The sound quality can be greatly affected by which channel you select during setup. I became familiar with how to change channel frequencies often and it’s not as inconvenient as it seems! But reading instructions helps!.

Purchased for my 99 Silverado. It works well and is easy to set up. Occasionally, it disconnects on button pushes because it shifts around in the cigarette lighter slot. Not sure if it’s the design of the product or the truck lighter.

It’s not a major issue. Music playback is great when you find the right station AND have an adequate antenna. I would definitely recommend this.

This is a great little device, but let me first explain why I gave it a 4*. The main issue is that the volume output is really really low (even when I have the transmitter’s and my phone’s volume set at max).

To give an example, I am usually fine with a volume of 20. When using this device, I have to crank it up to 40. It’s honestly not that big of an issue, except when I unplug this device/change the station to use the regular radio.

You guessed it, the car would blast the radio unless I lower the volume first every. single. time. Another small nitpick is that this transmitter requires more strength than normal to jam it inside the auxiliary power outlet.

With that out of the way, this is a great product. I’ve been using it with my 2005 Toyota Camry and have tested it with an Google Pixel XL, Moto G Power 2020, iPhone X, iPhone 11, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

It works wonders in adding a bluetooth functionality to the car. The pairing is instantaneous. The charging features are great. I used to use an outlet extender, which was bulky and had an extra long wire.

It works perfectly and sounds clear. I wasn’t sure at first if this would sound good and at first it didn’t. You need to make sure you choose a station that isn’t being used. At first I had 88. 3 but there was interference so it sounded terrible.

After I used 88. 1 and it works perfectly. The voice quality is ok as other adapters. The adapter uses Bluetooth 5. 0 for those curious. Some tips: Press and hold the phone button until the screen flashes to change the radio station.

Change to a station that isn’t being used. Sound too low? increase the volume by pressing up or down on the stick. The volume maxes out at 30. Also make sure you increase your phones bluetooth volume.

There’s 2 buttons on the top, a bass boost button on the left and a power off button on the right. If the sound seems muffled bass boost might be turned on so press and hold it to turn it off. To turn off the adapter press and hold the power button.

It just turns off the radio function though, it will still charge your devices so keep that in mind.

The charger lights up when it is plugged into a charger port in your car so you know that is working, no guesswork as to whether it is seated correctly or not. I did not use the Bluetooth function since I have Bluetooth in my car already, but I definitely needed a reliable charger and this one works great.

There are two ports for charging; a regular USB and a type C. Both work well and the type C charges my phone ultra fast. My only minor complaint is that when you plug the charger into the car port, you have to press the sides in otherwise you can’t get it to plug in.

I have an older MP3 player with all my favorites on it which never worked very well in my previous cars. Since I got a new car this year with a really good sound system, I decided to try this transmitter in it.

I have been looking for a FM transmitter for a while since my old one doesn’t work with my iPhone5. I don’t have many songs on my phone but thought I would give this a try since it was on sale. I am in love with this little device.

It plays music from my iPhone using the cord they provide (plugs into headphone jack) OR if you have a USB or SD Card, just put the music on that. I have a 32GB USB that had all kinds of stuff on it – this device finds ALL the songs and plays them.

You can play by random, folders, singles and it includes a remote so you can change the songs HANDS FREE. I would assume the SD Card would do the same. It’s an AWESOME little device and SO GLAD I found it.

My only CON is once in a while the reception will be staticy, but with the remote you can change the channel to anything you want easily. When I was charging my iPhone while it was plugged in, I could hear noise when I accelerated.

but not sure if this normal? But with this device I will be using USB all the time, which there is no noise. You won’t be disappointed.

An excellent product to be sure. Ordered it due to my car radio being an older model that doesn’t support an aux cable. Easy to setup and use! Set it and forget it for the most part.

Fantastic! My truck is a 2000 model year. While the audio system is great, I could not connect bluetooth. This transmitter is perfect. At first, I had the audio system volume turned up, but that gave me unwanted static.

By turning my phone volume to maximum and adjusting the volume on the transmitter, I eliminated the static. I’m extremely satisfied!.

It looks exactly as pictured but it does not work. It’s a complete lemon. It never worked not 1 time and was & is a complete waste of money. Don’t purchase this product.

I mainly bought this device for playing music as I was previously using an AUX cable but found them to be getting damaged and the lead causing a bit of a nuisence. I went through a new lead every 6 months so I decided to go bluetooth! It’s worth noting that if your car already has bluetooth calling and media playing capabilities, you don’t need this device.

My car only has bluetooth calling, not media. The device feels well made and looks pleasing. It’s very easy to use and doesn’t have too many features. Just 4 buttons and a dial. Nice and simple. It has blue LED lights surrounding the dial and acting as a backlight for the screen.

This looks cool but on a night time it can be a bit obnoxious and a strain on the eyes so I tend to swivel mine away from sight but if your 12V socket is up on the dash this might be an issue. Mine is down near my handbrake so it’s fine.

Also the text on the screen is a little bit faded in the centre, but I don’t really use the screen for anything. Also, it displays the number when someone calls but not the name and who recognises telephone numbers these days? Bit of a gripe but not a huge problem considering its other useful features.

When you start your engine, the device turns on and the display briefly shows your car battery’s voltage, which isa really neat feature. It has 2 USB ports on the side, one for charging devices upto 2.

1A and one for inputting USB data (music files from a flashdrive for example). I’m not sure if this second port also acts as a charger as I haven’t tried it. Theres also an SD card slot. The idea behind these slots is so you can put a load of MP3 songs/albums onto an SD card/USB stick and play them all through this device.

There’s also a built-in microphone for when you’re answering calls. You can connect your phone/tablet etc. to the device via bluetooth. The device then transmits the audio via radiowaves to whatever frequency you choose.

You then simply tune your car’s FM radio to the same frequency. Scan the radio beforehand to find a suitable, empty frequency where no other radio can be heard. You should only hear static. You can then use the device to play music or answer phone calls.

The sound quality is obviously not CD/MP3 quality as it’s being transmitted via radio but it’s just as good as any standard FM radio station. If you play music through apps such as Spotify, you can skip tracks using the buttons on the Bluetooth Transmitter so you don’t need to touch your phone.

Theres also an option to connect your device using the aux cable which they include in the box (useful if yourphone/tablet etc. doesn’t have bluetooth). I would definetly recommend this product. I actually bought one because a friend had one and he was impressed by it.

I gave it 4 out of 5 based on 2 cons; the slightly faded screen, and the blue glare when it’s dark out. These are purely subjective cons and might not bother other people. It’s still worth the purchase.

I didnt have high hopes for this fm transmitter as I have bought many in the past that havent worked well and have a lot of background white noise on them making it annoying to enjoy songs. However this transmitter is amazing, no background noise, no problems, no annoyance and very easy to set up and use! I highly recommend this product and my friends have bought it too seeing how well t worked in my car! Great value for money!.

I have been using a FM transmitter for music in my car. This comes especially handy, when you are doing long drives. This wee kit comes with a Charging port that allows you to charge your phone (especially when you are using battery-draining Sat-nav programs) while listening to your music.

No issues with the kit, would recommend it to anyone who is keen to get a similar setup in their car. Price is right and it does what it claims to do with absolutely no fuss. Real Gem of a kit!!!.

Let me say first that I didn’t use the bluetooth. Pros: -Good design that allows you to tuck it away to one side. -Keeps track of *which track* you were in when it got turned off (see cons as well) Cons: -Bad instructions – you need to struggle with it some to figure out how to switch inputs (I couldn’t, but it did what I needed), -The track-memory feature only knows which track it was on when shut off, so it starts from the beginning of the track, so for long tracks (audiobooks sometimes have 20min+ long tracks), it can be annoying.

If you want to know more: Long trip I planned, old car, flip phone (no bluetooth), CD player broke last minute (and no stores had a good replacement), several audio books on CD. This was the cheap fix and it worked.

Wrong instructions! The center button turns the unit on or off and does not switch from inputs (USB, microSD) as it was supposed to do. The input is selected automatically (it seems). I ripped the CDs to mp3 and onto a thumbdrive.

Stuck the thumbdrive into it and it seemed to automatically switch and start playing. It was important to keep each book in a folder, and alphabetically named so the blacketron could play them in the order I needed.

It worked flawlessly! The only thing is that I had either listen to a track to the end when I stopped, or risk having to listen to it from the beginning again.

Works great, if your tired of the radio on trips. and you don’t have a working Bluetooth or option to just connect something to your radio via cable. This adaptive connect through bluetooth and you can charge at the same time with usb.

Plays your own music with clarity as long as you find the right station on devise that works for you.

My husband’s car is older and doesn’t have Bluetooth. He had an older adapter but it was stolen so we tried this particular one and it was simple to us. He loves the fact that it is just one piece and no cords.

You can also charge two phones at the same time. Simple to use.

I love my new bluetooth FM transmitter, i bought an old Toyota Yaris 2011 model for my wife with only radio and CD player. The new blue FM transmitter was a perfect product for our car, it lets her enjoy favorite music from phone into car speaker and charge the phone at same time.

It comes with small LED light that read the current FM frequency, bright enough to read it in day light. Simple button to answer the call handsfree. I found one downside where the music break when the device looses it connection but after adjusting it works fine.

I would highly recommend this product.

My experience using Bluetooth FM Transmitter has been good. I like the double chagerer slots and think they are convenient. The signal is great there’s little to no static. Sound quality is above average.

Phone calls and notifications come through just fine. I recommend a device to anybody with a car that has an FM radio in it if your car didn’t already come with Bluetooth. I get this FM transmitter seven out of ten stars.

I got this for an old car, and I’ve been very pleased with it, is very simple to use install it and use it, that even my grandma uses it sometimes. I find it very helpful to charge my cellphone, listen music and mostly to answer my phone when I don’t have the oportunity to park.

The only thing, I think you can improve the microphone and it will be perfect! This is a great oportunity to “modernize” your car.

Installed Monster’s Bluetooth FM Transmitter with 3. 4 Amp USB Charging on an older truck we use occasionally for towing, hauling, etc. Never having used a transmitter I was very impressed how simple this device was to install and use.

The sound is very clear, plus, the transmitter has good range so it is easy to find channels. The device has a number of really useful features beyond the FM transmitter. The features I use most are playing music from the phone, hands free calls, and also important being able to charge phones.

I also liked that this device is small and lightweight and not a bulky, heavy object on the dash. The controls work smoothly and are easy to operate. This works so well and is priced amazingly it is definitely worth a try instead of going without or investing money into an upgraded stereo especially on an older vehicle.

This Monster Bluetooth FM Transmitter is super easy to use with little set up. Most people could figure it out in a couple of seconds without any issues. All you do is plug it into the car, set the station, connect it with your Bluetooth, set your car station, and you are done.

You can listen to your favorite music or podcasts that you enjoy every time you are in your car. This also has some great features like the charging ports that are quick charge. Since it is taking the place of the charger port, it’s nice to have that built in.

One of my favorite features is the Siri and google sound activation. This way I have the option to make calls or pick a song hands free. This is a well made quality product and if you have an older car like I do it’s nice to have.

Its took more time to set it up but the results are just. ok. It doesn’t really utilize all of the stereo’s sound system so it sounds pretty low. To hear anything you have to have both the stereo, bluetooth transmitter and your phone (or whatever you are using) to the max and the sound is just medium decible.

Having the windows down is even worse as the sound is barely noticable. I had to go through several channels to find one that actually would work with the transmitter. Its also can only work in certain ports because its size can hinder where it fits in.

Also the size of the plug feels a bit bigger than my cigarette port so i had to really force it in. And even then it was hit or miss of it actually working. It was a good idea but the execution is lacking.

First a word of confusion. There are two of these identical listings on the WalMart web site. One is with “14-channels” and is listed as Model FMT4R, and one is with “20-channels” and is listed as Model FMT4.

I bought the “20-channel” model. That was the only model on the display hook in the store. My “guess” is that the 14-channel is an older model but the web page has not deleted it. As for performance, it is flawless and clear as a crystal.

Rich sound. Perfect fidelity. Amazing. Caveat: I experience “hiss” interference if my smartphone is directly next to the FMT4 so I had to separate the two by stretching out the 6-inch attached cable.

Which brings me to my Pet Peeve. The 6-inch attached cable. It makes no sense and is impractical to use with a smartphone that must be lifted to your ear or held in your hand. It was immediately obvious that I could not use the smartphone without the FMT4 dangling in my way so I went back into WalMart and purchased a male-to-female extension cable so that I could use the phone connected to the extension cable without the FMT4 dangling in the way.

Also, the attached 6-inch cable is thin and flimsy. One of the other Reviews said that his cable was fraying and it’s easy to see why. I would highly recommend that the attached cable not be moved and wiggled any more than necessary.

Which is a secondary reason I purchased the extension cable. Now I can leave the FMT4 in one place, not handle or wiggle the attached 6-inch cable, and plug in the extension cable which is heavier gauge, much more durable and made for every day handling.

On a scale of 1-5 Stars, I would have scored the FMT4 a “6” except for the thin and flimsy 6-inch attached cable. Which cost me an extra $4. 88 for the extension cable. That is also the reason for the Value Rating of 4 (Good) because of the additional extension cable purchase.

Bottom Line: If you are considering the FMT4 you should factor in the additional cost of an extension cable. Aside from that the FMT4 is a technological marvel that does everything one could expect.

I’ve had a number of different transmitters & paid anywhere from $20-$50 for them. Needless to say something has gone wrong with every one of them. When I went to Walmart to buy another one, they were out of everything else except this one.

I was VERY hesitant bout spending only $13 on a transmitter, but I wanted to listen to the music on my phone (EVO Design 4G), so I decided that I would buy it & if it turned out to be a piece of junk I would just return it.

I got to my car & couldn’t wait to try it out. Well I forgot that it used 2 AAA batteries so I came home to get my rechargeable batteries. I put the batteries in & turned it on & was immediately blown away.

Before I turned it on, the station I was going to play it on had a little bit of static as well as someone talking, but when I turned it on it overpowered the static & talking. I could not believe how strong this thing is.

The most impressive thing about it is that it only cost $13 & works better then any other transmitter I’ve had. I was expecting to get what I paid for, but in this case I scored big time. The ONLY thing that I don’t like about it is that the cord from the transmitter to the earphone jack is very short.

It would be nice if it was a little longer. I love the fact that you can turn it off (which helps increase battery life). I use this 3 times a week for 3 hours a day & have only had to change the batteries once in a months time period).

Don’t be fooled by the low price, jump on it cause it is one great deal.

This is a reasonably effective unit for the price, especially in a car or other limited-range setting. I paid double this price for an inferior transmitter at Target, and Radio Shack wanted approximately $50 for a similar transmitter! I’m not going to lie, finding a clear, non-staticky frequency to transmit on can be a day-to-day hassle, and even if you find one, if your batteries aren’t fresh, you can have infrequent bouts of static.

But at least you can select between 20 frequencies. Usually, once I find a frequency, I have no problems with static. For the asking price, it’s well worth it. If you primarily plan to use this for listening while driving, and you use a standard car stereo and not some super-high-fidelity setup, then this should be fine.

As I said, it’s better than the previous one I had that cost double the price. For casual listening while driving, sure, I recommend it, especially at this cheap price. Just try not to lose it!.
