20 Best Fm Transmitter For Car (2023 Updated)

I was looking for an alternative to replacing my car stereo. Which in a Mustang can get expensive. This does everything I wanted and sounds great. I just wish it had a power button, because my power socket stays hot all the time.

it’s good for everything except having up to date usb ports for charging. i have an lg wing and iphone 12 and neither usb port works. soooooooooooo can’t charge ya phone while doing whatever on your bluetooth.

I am using this in two ways, both as a speaker phone for the car and to listen to music from my phone over the car speakers. Both work easily and perfectly. Excellent value

Only had it a few weeks but is working great so far for playing music over Bluetooth and phone connection. Fairly simple setup following the instructions. Love the auto connect once it’s set up. Love the size and easily transportable or stowed away.

The microphone and sound seems to work just as well as any built in hands free car system. Overall very satisfied. Just hope it lasts a long time!.

This thing is ace if you are a cheaparse like myself. Slight bit of a whine when nothing is playing on the BT, completely disappears when songs start. Slightly better sound with cord and no whine at all.

I havent gotten static at all compared to transmitters Ive used in the past. Not the ugliest thing either. Charging works well and even tells you how much your car battery is charged. This is a really good deal for what it is.

Easily out preforms any of the sub $100 options from Bestbuy and other big box stores. Just get it if you are on the fence, you wont be disappointed.

I will start by saying the seller was great! After some time with the device though, I can say that online reviews must have been written by those who made it. I got this after several “best of 2018” reviews said it was the best fm transmitter.

It works, but bluetooth signal is often not clearly transmitted producing static and background noise. I bought this to replace the ikross fm transmitter my gf had previously bought for me. Turns out Ikross was a much better product.

I will probably go back to ikross when this one is done.

Bluetooth transmitters can be tricky at best, and spotty at their worst. I found this one to be fairly easy to setup. Simply select it from the Bluetooth list on your phone, pair it, and your ready to go! The controls are very easy to setup and the ability to use both the outer buttons and the volume control knob to find a station that works is very convenient.

I used it on a road trip and simply went up or down the dial if the one I was using was assigned from state to state. Great product and it has the ability to manage your calls as well! Connection was strong as well as the signal with no static.

This unit works pretty good. The CD player in the car stopped working. It’s a 2005 vehicle so no USB input. Locks into an open channel immediately. Plugging a USB stick into one of the slots finds tracks immediately.

If you fill up the USB stick with lots of tracks. it will just play them in succession. you can only scroll ahead or before. That’s not a nail. just saying if you want to listen to something specific.

get smaller USBs and only load what you’re listening to that day. I’ve also noticed the noise floor can vary. you’ll notice it if you’re listening to the USB tracks. but today for instance. was pretty clean.

Haven’t experimented with searching for better open radio channels. It’s also great for listening to YouTube shows. I imagine that’s not a big deal for people with newer cars. Overall, it’s a great unit.

If you’re in my situation – CD player dead – older car. get it. works great. play off your phone or USB.

Got this due to the issue of too many items needing charging and not enough connections. I connected this to the power source inside the console between the front seats and ran the wire up and along the side to the cupholder behind the console for the back seats.

Then I placed a “gap” storage bin in between the passenger seat and the console that had 2 USB ports and 3 USB retractable charging cables using the power port on this to power them. So off of one power port, I now had 7 charging stations (6 usable) and can charge all 6 at once as long as I don’t hook in the laptop to charge (blows the fuse) at the same time.

And the transmitter comes in handy as I can listen to my music on the main radio, but the backseat passengers can transmit their music to the radio connection for the back seat and listen to their music over blue tooth head phones.

So it is extremely useful and gives you some flexibility instead of cluttering things up.

Been using this for almost a month now. Works as well as I expected. Sound quality is pretty good; not audiophile quality but I am pleased with it. A couple of minor gripes: I bought it because of the form factor; expecting it to fit into a small cupholder on my dash.

Unfortunately it is just a little too big in diameter to fit solidly where I wanted it to go. Will just attach something to the bottom of the unit so it sits more solidly. Most likely not an issue for most people though; it fits into my other cupholders solidly as is.

Was pleasantly surprised by a British accented voice that informs you while it is pairing with your device. Unfortunately, the voice seems to be a little too loud in relation to the volume I was previously listening at.

Need to remember to turn the radio down when shutting the car down. The power outlets on the unit were a deciding factor in the choice of this unit. Plenty of options for powering different accessories.

Great product for the price. I would purchase another one if I needed one.

Bought this for a 2005 Suburban I purchased. Best buy charged 30$. Could not hear the vocals on most hard rock/metal tracks. Bass was inconsistent song to song. Did not stay charged for very long. Tape player ejected it every 2 min.

Bought the leading Wal-Mart brand with a headphone cord for 5$ and it was like listening to a whole new stereo. The one good thing was that I didn’t experience any connectivity issues. But for 30$ this adapter simply isn’t worth it.

Spend the 5$ and finish riding out the wave of cassette-equipped vehicles without getting ripped off.

This is a good sturdy & reliable product. Works exactly as advertised. Perfect for those without CarPlay. The only issues I have, might only be associated with my old car. 1. I can’t turn it off, and I have to unplug it every time.

I have an old car though and I’m concerned for my cars battery lol. 2. Whenever I accelerate, I hear a monotone whining sound. I’m guessing it’s picking up my cars electronics. Overall, this is a 5 star product, as I think the only problems I have with this, are associated with my old broken car.

I’m sure there are more expensive ones out there, but this product works great and does exactly what it’s supposed to.

I found an FM frequency with no radio traffic, tuned both the device and my car radio to that frequency, paired my phone’s Bluetooth with the device, and began enjoying good quality sound. Setup is straightforward.

I absolutely love my new Monster Bluetooth FM Transmitter and Car Charger. Not only does it charge my phone really fast but I can insert a memory card or connect my phone bluetooth and play my own music.

It’s a really nice feature. I don’t use Siri or Google Assistant but this transmitter supports them. There is even a bass boost button! I like how I can just plug in and go. Very easy to use and convenient at the same time.

Been using it for a month now and I only have good things to say. I would definitely recommend, this is a great product.

I wanted this item to be my all-time favorite Bluetooth/FM Transmitter but one thing has held it back. namely a slight hiss on my car radio due to the transmitted signal not being very powerful. I get this noise no matter what frequency I choose to broadcast on.

I have several other stereo FM Transmitters (all are powered from cigarette the lighter socket) that are hiss-free. The only way for me to eliminate the slight hiss is to place the unit practically on the face of the radio, which is not a solution for me.

I love this thing in all other aspects, though!.

I’ve had it for a little while now and it works like a charm. The only minor things I’ve noticed are to be expected; if there is another person or station on the channel the audio gets fuzzy and if on a multi hour road trip you do not have a charger it will run out of battery around hour 5 or so of constant use.

I have two of them. One in the Jeep and one in the Motor Home. Both are older and do not have aux jacks. I run an old mp3 through it in the Jeep and sounds better then the cd player, plus have 600+ song we like.

Motor Home we use it to play audio books when driving. Sounds fantastic. The only negative is trying to get them out of the package.

This is the third bluetooth FM transmitter I bought since getting my ’04 SUV back running (rebuilt transmission). With the other two, more expensive, models I could not find a station that didn’t come with some static/interference.

I was skeptical of this lesser-priced unit from a brand I’ve never heard of. I couldn’t be happier. I finally have clear sound again. I recommend.

Even though the manual is pretty sparse, I got this working quickly. I had to re-pair with the phone after restarting the car. There’s a notable noise floor regardless of station chosen; that might be RF interference from the engine.

Regardless, in a running non-electric vehicle the noise floor becomes a moot point, and the audio itself is of good quality. I can’t tell if it’s a true stereo signal, will have test. My biggest negative is that the maximum output gain is low.

when I max out my phone gain stage, and this adapter’s gain stage, I STILL have to significantly raise my in-dash unit’s volume well over what’s needed for the unit’s tuner. Which means its easy to overdrive the speakers once disconnected from the adapter.

Otherwise it does the job, and the sale price made it a worthwhile purchase.

I mostly use it to listen to streaming podcasts, or mp3 files. No issues once you find a “clean” FM channel to transmit too. Really a no brainer for the price. As a bonus, it shows the car battery voltage upon startup.

which is a handy thing since my kids like to leave the van interior lights on.

I had been using a cassette bluetooth adapter in a 2002 mercedes because there was a general web opinion that these fm transmitters were not as good. Didn’t want to give up the excellent stock radio! Boy were they wrong.

I live in a metropolitan area and it was easy to select a station away from other signals with no perceptible noise or static. It immediately recognizes my phone every time I get in the car. The mic works fine and I like that I can put the phone in the console and still receive calls.

My wife says it sounds far clearer than when I call from the phone itself (on speaker). The other cassette adapter device would stream audio but not do hands-free calling. I also bought the “upgraded” version first and use it in another car (Lexus R350) because the flexible neck is a bit more obtrusive in the smaller car because of the power adapter location.

This one works equally as well as far as I can tell and it’s more compact. I do use the USB ports to charge the phone and other accessories with no issues whatsoever. At this price, all the kids/grandkids are getting one as a stocking stuffer for christmas.

But it only becomes fun after get you past all the mildly confusing stuff. (I’m talking about the instructions that really tiny square pamphlet you send in the box) But once you’re past it. You feel like God.

Plug it in and connect the receiver to my radio. Then turn on Bluetooth on my phone. Bap!! I’m playing my music, or I’m playing a podcast, easy. At first I thought it sucked really bad, but the reason why is because I set it to a station that had a little bit of music when I drive under traffic lights and trees.

(and where I live there’s a lot of trees and a lot of traffic lights) So I hunted and hunted and I found the station. 96. 5 it played silence. I said, “Eh. ” “Sure. ” “What the hell, I’ll try it. ” Little did I know this was the perfect station.

Clear as day. Not a cloud in the sky. (Clearer than ‘Claritin Clear’) No staticky music! No staticy podcast! No staticy phone calls! Claritin Clear!! Everything else works very well, but I love the Bluetooth part the most.

It works great, however, not for a busy city. I live in the NY suburbs, when I drive to city, the signal gets worse as I a get near the city (Yonkers). The charging ports are not powerful, it just maintain the same battery level on my iPhone XS Max.

Im happy with it, it does what I need it to do.

Excellent product , Saved me at least 200 pounds. Initially I was going to install a new system but this product had the same to offer. Sound quality is very good. It does interferes with same frequency if you are in an area where there is a same frequency radio station but honestly it does not effect the sound a lot.

Kids happy coz they can now play their favourite music. I would recommend to set it on a low frequency for good results.

Most reviews are correct in that you need full volume to get low volume sound, and you get static in areas where there is a nearby station. Works OK when traveling between cities that have only a few stations.

I used it once with my wife searching for the right station that would have little static. She was not impressed, but I liked the fact that I could listen to 50s music on my older car radio. If your expectations are not too high then buy this product, but if you do not want to fuss to get your music then this in not a product for you.

This is the second f these I’ve bought. Unlike the first one, I did have issues using some of the power sockets on my extension cable in the car (i. e. it would not power up). I have to assume that may be down to the extension itself and maybe these newer TeckNet units are more sensitive to any voltage issues.

Anyway, it works fine once configured and tuned to a free frequency, even if the device is some way from the car’s external radio antenna.

I purchased this unit primarily as a means to get music playing from my Samsung Galaxy Nexus through my car radio. The bluetooth functionality and ability to use the unit to make phone calls was only an added bonus.

The biggest draw to this unit for me was the sheer number of options I would have to hook it up. In addition to the bluetooth link and FM transmitter, there are two 3. 5mm jacks, one for accepting audio from your phone or MP3 player, and another to send audio from the unit to the auxiliary in jack on your radio.

If you’re unhappy with the sound quality over bluetooth or FM, you can bypass one or both of them. There is also a powered USB port which I can use to charge my phone as well. As I have no AUX port on my radio, I’m using this over FM all the time with the 3.

5mm connecting the unit to the headphone jack on my phone. The sound quality is very good, and the FM transmitter seems to be much stronger than the one in the Griffin RoadTrip II I am replacing. I was able to make a 3-hour drive without having to change the station.

Maybe I just got lucky, but I was impressed. I tried sending music over Bluetooth as well and it was much clearer than I would have hoped for, although a bit quieter which forced me to turn my radio up higher making a small amount of static noticeable during quiet parts.

It certainly isn’t bad, but as is to be expected the audio is just a bit better using the 3. 5mm so thats the way I’ll continue to use it. I’ve made one phone call through the unit so far. The other party’s voice was coming loud and clear through my radio.

They said I was a bit quiet but they could hear me. I don’t make a lot of calls on the road but it’s good enough for occasional use. All in all I couldn’t ask for much more out of this unit and recommend it!.

My 2 Bluetooth Car Transmitters are FANTASTIC! They connect quickly and well each time I start each of my two cars in which they are installed. I take one with me when we go out on our boat. By having our SATECHI’s and our PANDORA subscription it is ad though we’r had much more expensive subscriptions to SIRIUS plus we can listen to our own music letting us match the music within the mood.

We recommend our SATECHI’s to everyone.
