The item itself is a great idea. Unfortunately, the packaging left a lot to be desired. We bought these along with a large item, so they just taped them to the large item and they come in a very easily crushable soft cardboard box each.

When they got here the packaging was completely crushed meaning that every single one of the shooaway’s had a bent creased blade. Very disappointing. I mean I guess they shoo away the flies but just disappointing that my item was damaged before I got it.

I First saw this product at my friends place. We were having outdoor Korean bbq. He used the shoo away- fly repellent for the raw meat to shoo flies away. I was absolutely blown away, not a single fly around our raw meat and food.

Normally flies attracted to exposed raw meat. Not a single fly around our meat. Went home same day ordered myself two shoo away- fly repellent. I had to have one with summer around the corner. Everyone should get one.

We LOVE these fly sticks. Talk about sticky!!! They REALLY attract the flies. When we clean stalls we put a wheel barrow full of horse manure away from the barn in the sun and tilt one of these up on a pitch fork and oh my goodness, you would not believe what you come back to 3-4 hours later.

These are amazing – they say fly sticks, but they catch wasps (red,black and striped), dirt dobbers, moths, flies and just about any other flying insect. Our house was plagued with all of these when we moved in and I started using fly sticks and have really thined their populations.

This case I sent to my son who is renovating a house. He says they are working well. They also look nicer around the house than the old style fly stips.

This works really, really well. I got two traps and started with one attractant that I put in one and poured 1/2 into the other once dissolved. They worked well even at 1/2 strength. For the second round, I used a full pouch and about a week later, the flies filled it to the water level with dozens more trapped inside walking on top of them (pix).

I’m not a fan of flies in my face, so I take it off the rope, push the lid down, and let it sit for a day to kill off any survivors before emptying. it says it has 4 different attractants. I definitely detected rotten meat, poo, and old garbage when I get too close after the afternoon sun warms it up.

not sure what the 4th might be but the flies simply adore it! I’d highly recommend to anybody who prefers not to be swarmed by flies in their own backyard.

I was excited to get my Rescue Fruit Fly Trap because it’s summer and that means that the fruit flies are all over the place. I love that this trap because it’s made in the USA and it’s reusable. The trap comes with two packets of natural food-based liquid that is used to attract the fruit flies into the trap.

The trap is spill resistant and Rescue claims that the liquid will work for two weeks, however it does last longer than the two weeks. Once the trap is assembled, it’s ready to attract fruit flies and they will go to the liquid and get trapped in the funnel shaped trap without any weird stickie traps, or electric devices that are annoying to place around the house.

In the summer, it’s inevitable to get some fruit flies in the house, especially if you like to keep fresh fruit around, so this trap is a necessity. I don’t notice the trap at all once it’s set up and don’t worry about it until I notice that the bait needs to be changed.

I would strongly recommend the Rescue Reusable Fruit Fly Trap to anyone that doesn’t like fruit flies in their home! I don’t have any issues with annoying fruit flies now that I have this trap in my home.

Does’t work as much as apple cider vinegar or just a simple pan filled up with dish soap and water. I wanted to try because I use apple cider vinegar with a drop of dish soap in it but the fruit flies problem was getting worst although it was catching a lot of it.

I put side by side to see who was caching more and this is the results: the first pic is the vinegar method, clearly caught a lot I did even bother to count them. The 2nd pic is the one I bought from Walmart caught 13 fruit flies.

Hand down the best is the old method but that night I left in the sink a little pot soaked with water and soap and the same night I had the winner, 3rd pic. Who knew that a simple container filled up with bubble water could catch so many fruit flies.

Don’t waist you money.

I got this because a couple times every summer I end up with fruit flies in the house so figured I’d keep it on hand. Well the time came to try it out. It’s small and looks pleasant enough. Much nicer to look at than the contraption I built with the top of the 20oz bottle cut off and inverted inside the bottom with red wine vinegar poured in it.

Although this contraption I built worked great, it wasn’t really great to look at on the counter for a couple of days while it worked its magic. This little contraption works in a very similar way, basically giving them space to be lured in by the scent of the liquid but making the escape routes very narrow so they can’t find their way out.

The device came with 2 packets of liquid mix. You use them 1 at a time. They smell strongly of red wine vinegar so I imagine after using both of the packets it comes with, you could substitute rwv and keep using the device.

I set up the device and left it on the counter for about 2 days. I didn’t have any more fruit flies! Basically they go down in the trap and drown, so all you have to do is take the lid off and dump it down the sink.

Clean and easy way to get rid of those pesky fruit flies!.

I never write reviews so there must be something really great about the Bug-A-Salt to get me to post here. We came back from vacation and somehow got a good number of fruit flies around the house. I went out and bought spray, not thinking i had a Bug-A-Salt handy.

I thought the spray would handle all these pests once and for all. Well, I was totally wrong. The spray smells absolutely awful. The best description i can provide is WD-40 being masked by vanilla bean candles.

And that smell does not go away. It’s been over 24 hours and the whole room stinks after only 2 flies killed. The walls i had to spray on, now have oily residue. This was the organic, safe for pets, kinda stuff.

Don’t get me wrong, it works well, but the stench is beyond comprehension. Then I remembered the Bug-A-Salt. I didn’t think about it since fruit flies are so small but why not? So i did. I’ve taken care of way more flies and there is no smell, no mess, nothing but safe, effective removal of pests and it’s kind of fun to use.

A few grains of salt are all that is left and there is no risk to people or pets. And since the bathroom has been the primary location for the pests, that leaves toothbrushes, towels, toilet paper, etc all safe and secure since no chemicals are being used.

The Bug-A-Salt has been a tremendous help in pest control and has prevented any additional damage to the house from traditional sprays and chemicals. I strongly recommend considering getting a Bug-A-Salt for small pest control.

Kills Bugs Dead! But without the smeared mess of a flyswatter. Shoots a tad low, but that’s easy to compensate for with Kentucky windage. Appears to be well made and pretty heavy duty, too. After slaying a few flies inside, my wife asked why there was salt in the window sill.

This is my 3rd bug-a-salt gun. I love them. I got my first one years ago and wore it out not due to poor quality at all! I shot hundreds of hoppers of salt through each of them and if I ran out of salt I have shot pepper, spices, garden lime, epsom salt, other garden nutrient pellets, even diatomaceous earth.

All started when I was raising pigs naturally there were more flies during that time… I have now found that the smaller grain cheapie salt works best although some of those bigger epsom salt Pellets payed down some heavy damage! After my first kill taking a fly out of mid air it was like shooting my first deer.

It’s just stronger and more accurate. It’s actually a little unfair to the flies. I almost never miss and regularly get two for one shot. I actually don’t have enough flies in my life now! While they used to constantly pester me and be a nuisance, I now go looking for them and can’t find enough! It’s not unusual to kill 10 or 12 flies in just 30 seconds or so.

Stink bugs are a problem this year. They get in from door openings. THis stuff gets em with little no mess or over spray. Most we can nut grab with a wet paper towel. But some we have to spray. Quick and easy they die in a few minutes without letting out a stink burst.

After a massive fruit fly invasion I tried all sorts of remedies. I decided to try Zevo and it worked miracles! The blue light makes a nice little night light and is mana to all insects. They cannot resist the light.

I was so impressed I purchased two more to place around the house. Not only did it capture my nasty fruit flies but I also mosiquitos and regular flies. This is a must in any house!.

LOved using this product last year. We were amazed at how well it worked. The smell was terrible but well worth the outcome. We have tried using the refills and also buying new traps this year. The strong smell is no longer present and the trap barely catches a fly.

Were the ingredients changed? Not sure what is wrong, but it is definitely not working as it should. Can no longer recommend this product and we bragged about it to everyone last summer.

We have lot of windows and a lot of foot traffic with our grandchildren here all summer. I just put one strip at the bottom of the windows. Flies stick to them and can’t get off. They are GREAT because I don’t have to run around swatting flies and getting yuck on all my windows.

For months I Tried so many many ways to get rid of those little knats in the house. These are the answer! Put them in your windows. Also inside lamp shades- they catch anything that flies- as most all go towards light.

My lamps that have these in on the inside of the shade, I leave on overnight, all the time. , refreshing the strips as they get full w bugs stuck to them. I use packing tape to tape the sticks to the inside of the shades.

Its also interesting but sometimes gross to see whats Been flying around in your house !.
