20 Best Fly Spray For Cattle (2023 Updated)

Last summer my flowers on my balcony, were attacked by Japanese Beetles. I almost panicked, trying to remember what I had that might kill them. Then I remembered I had this product in my cabinet. I sprayed them and all the plants & flowers on my balcony.

I can happily tell you it killed every last one of them DEAD!!.

This pesticide worked well on my chickens. Wear gloves when mixing up your solution. Directions for proper dilution included. Do not inhale or splash while diluting with water. I used regular hand pump sprayers to coat the chickens, especially their vent area.

I cleaned out their coop and coated all surfaces, especially laying boxes and floor corners. It made a big difference. You can use a multi-gallon landscape sprayer for large flocks. Don’t breath it in.

Use a mask and goggles, don’t fumigate yourself!.

We operate a Grade A Goat Dairy & are also Kansas State Licensed to manufacture & market cheesee, milk, & milk products. We also export excess breeding stock world-wide. We mantain a Bio Secure facility & farm that was recently violated too such an extent that we needed four bottles of Permectrin II to restore our Bio Security.

It is an item that is required for our small quarentine pen but was needed this time for a much greater area. It is a wonderfully effectrive product & we recommend it highly.

I only buy concentrated Permectrin, because that way I can control the percentage of the product in different circumstances. This way the cost is way more effective.

We have been using this since we installed the fly spray system. If you run out you can really tell when all the flies show up again! Still have flies around, but not near as much. Also use fly traps outside and fly predators.

My neighbors don’t use anything and have a cattle ranch behind us, so we get their flies coming in. Still need fly spray on the horses when out in pastures. When in the barn they don’t need any fly spray on them this product keeps most of them off.

It’s expensive though! Smartpak gave me the best deal with free shipping!.

I switched back to the Pyrithrin after trying the much less expensive Permathon for several years. I’m afraid there was not a significant improvement. I’ve still got lots of flies.

The price has gone up almost $60. However, the spray is very effective. Shipping is fast. I don’t understand why I must choose only “great buy, deal, value “, etc. Do you really want real feedback?.

I have been using this product for years. I live on a cattle farm so flys are a guaranteed to be around. I have the sprayer unit in my living room and one in my bedroom. The old farm house does have air leaks where my apartment is.

I have also used it in my horses stall in the sprayer units.

I love it. I used it last year in my house on a shelf facing my front door & it did not hurt me & my fly problem that I used to have was gone. I am not saying flies didn’t come in to my house but I am saying they didn’t last long.

I had to sweep them up but I would rather sweep them up than have them flying around my food or me.

I bought this for treating my clothing with permethrin. Missed the small text saying that it contains petroleum distillate. This stuff works like any other permethrin concentrate, but smells very strongly of gasoline/turpentine; the fumes are intense when treating clothing, and stunk up my entire house.

Once the articles of clothing are fully dry, the petroleum distillate has fully evaporated as well, and the articles no longer contain the odor. However, I will not be buying a concentrate with petroleum distillate for treating clothing in the future.

Product was 100% genuine, was a good value, and seemed to contain exactly what was written on the label. Treatment of clothing very effective; the only problem was the fumes.

I read all the description and hazard and am very careful handling it. I believe it is working get rid of our dog fleas. I dilute it with lots of water and lightly spray the front and back doors, dogie beds and throw rugs.

I open doors and windows for air in. Next time I spray, I will put on my Mask so I don’t inhale fumes and cover my face better. I can feel that I am itchy after spraying, so I ‘ll take extra care. I feel to give this a good try, at least I am not giving our Pomeranian dogs”poison pills” once or twice a month.

After spraying aound the house and doggie beddings, I always give them a good bath. Every Summer they get allergies from fleas, grass, ticks. If I feel it is not working I will discontinue use of it.

There is no information about how to use the product. There are no instructions, details, or specifications whatsoever either in the product listing or with the product packaging. Now I have the product but have no idea how to dilute it or what delivery system to use for it.

Perhaps most importantly, I have no idea what the safety precautions are for this product. None of this information is provided either in the product listing or with the product in its packaging.

I bought this reading approved for fairy cattle. Yet I saw a review just now about a possible withdrawal period? She’s our only milk cow right now. I can’t have a withdrawal period. Is this necessary??.

This stuff is good for the price. In my opinion, it lasts 3-4 hours (less if you are actively riding and the horse is sweating) definitely recommend this product for stalled horses, use something more sweatproof for riding though.

I’ve been using this on my sheep. Chase them around with the spray; I don’t get a chance to rub it in but it helps keep the flies from annoying them. I have also washed them with the shampoo! (Harness and tie on a tree with a hose!) I have the prettiest, healthiest looking sheep around! I use the fly spray around the door entry of our home too, in the ducks shed, around the chicken coop.

I’ve used several UltraCruz products and they all have been great. This is my second season using the natural fly spray. Works well on our Hereford cows. I use it as a direct spray and in the loafing sheds.

I got this in the mail today, had to use a different bottle because the spray nozzle was broke on the one that was sent. All ok, works really well, flies just left and couldn’t land on my horses.

It appears to be keeping the fly’s away from both my horses and my cow. Hope it continues to work as well as it currently is.

Sprayed my bull and still had the same number of flies. Does not kill on contact either as it claimed. Will be getting a refund.

I purchased this product as the PH is perfect for dogs with the type of hair Maltese has. It stops breakage and snapping of the hair. The Shampoo is gentle on the skin but brings the coat to a brilliant snow white from tiny paws to the face.

Thee dogs tear but the shampoo letting it sit while bathing the rest takes the tearing to a white color. O f course I place 1 drop of mineral oil in each eye so not to get the soap in them but the dogs never act like they have ever had a drop of soap irritate then in any way on any part of the body.

When I sell my pups I always give them the samples of the shampoo and conditioner and tel them DO Not use anything else and you do Not need to take them to a professional groomer who has harsh chemical when you have the best right here.

It will keep your dog clean , happy and destressed. It makes combing grooming easier, less matting and works well when sleeping on silk pillow cases. Thank you for your products. Lora Booth.

I have two maltese that their beards and feet were getting stained. They do have eye staining as well. They have been bathed twice with the shampoo and conditioner. I like how it makes there hair look bright.

The conditioner gives it sheen I have noticed that it helps with knots. One of my babies had knots bad and it helped to put the conditioner on and let it sit then comb it out a bit.

Tried other fly sprays – this actually works. Best applied when working cattle thru a shoot as you have full access to apply over animal. However, apply while they are feeding from a feed trough or something, works just as well – at least you can get some on their head and shoulder area.

If you get it on the animal – poof like magic; flies instantly stay away. I am going to purchase some mineral block feeders with pesticide strips, and saturate the strips with Ultra Boss – then my cattle will self administer when they go to the mineral lick.

The bovine vet recommended this product. I had used the cattle rub before with similar ingredients, but the fly problem is mostly solved. I use the squirt gun for this kind of product and just walk among the cows and squirt and they have significant relief from the flies.

I purchased this due to the high population of ticks in my area & a friend nearly lost her horse due to a blood infection from a tick, her vet recommended it. It is extremely easy to apply and my horses do appear more comfortable for the first week but I notice going into week two they are already are covered in bites & running from swarms of flys & Mosquitos so I have had to bring the fly spray out again.

The insects are far worse this year so it may not be a fair assessment. My two horses are white & gray, it seems to lift ALL dirt & grease from their skin & bring it to the surface for the first 24-48 hours where it was applied, giving them an dirty oil slick stripe down their back & a lessor cross stripe going down their sides behind their shoulders where it drizzled down with sweat, so they kind of look like the “Jesus Donkeys” with the cross on their back.

That cross area stays greasy for the first week but the dirt brushes out. The price is awesome & if it really helps protect them from ticks (haven’t found any) then it’s worth the dirty cross for a couple days a fortnight!!.

I use it every 3rd year, more often than that creates too much resistance, but the way I use it is great on horn flies.

I have purchased this fly spray for almost 7 years. It has always worked very well on my horse and pony. This year is different. I spray and the flies come right back! I have to spray again. I don’t want to over spray my horses! I’m really disappointed as I would always recommend this product to everyone with horses.

As a matter of fact, I just did to a brand new horse owner. Now I’m sorry I did. Since this was always my go to fly spray. I’ll have to start looking for a new one I guess. This is very frustrating.

Not as good as the greasy spray n wipe but way more economical. Im wondering about mixing with something oily like safflower oil to make it more effective. It’s the same ingredients and you can adjust the strength.

It’s water based and I think that’s why it’s not quite as good asd the spray n wipe.

Concentrate easily mixed as gallons of fly spray that easily can be poured in quart spray bottles for simple application to horses and cattle.

This product Far exceeded my expectations. I live on1 and 1/2 acre mosquito infested area. The old propane fogger helped if I used it every other day. This product cleared out everything for over a week.

Truly unbelievable and a blessing. Plus It will be much more cost effective.

Bought the 16 oz to try it out to put the right amount from the large side to the measurements side is a pour design. Good luck it ends up pouring more that you need to. Just applied today no review on the cattle yet.

Tried this last year and it not only stopped the horrible tick problem we were having but got rid of most other annoying insects around the horses as well with no apparent ill effects. Soon as I started seeing those hoards of little flies on their backs this year I remembered Brute and ordered some – now I hardly need to use fly spray at all!.

This product is amazing. Put it on your cows and no flies! Absolutely wonderful stuff!

It’s a miracle! Sprayed as directed in my rabbit barn. NO flies instantly. Only like two flies next day. Week later still works great. I use it weekly or as needed. I use it in my chicken and duck run too.

Not a fault of Tractor Supply. However, internet research suggested Permethrin as the best apple maggot insecticide. This is not true. Label does not even mention this option. Also, there is evidently no environmental persistence to this chemical.

pretty much worthless for apple trees. I got scammed. but not by Tractor Supply.

I sprayed my bull per instructions. Watched flies leave while I sprayed and land after I stopped. Waited a few days while flies stayed on him. Increased the dose and same results. Flies literally landed on the mist droplets with no affect.

It’s OK. Not a lot of staying power but in all fairness, the flies were ferocious last year. Tried mixing it with Listerine and seemed it up the staying power a bit. From casual observation, other horse owners and other products didn’t do much better.
