20 Best Floor Protectors For Chairs (2023 Updated)

We just installed new luxury vinyl at our beach house and wanted to insure the furniture didnt scratch the new flooring. There were plenty of protectors to do all the furniture and still have plenty to replace them when they wear out.

Very good quality and highly recommend them.

Great product for angled legs but you can accidentally pop them off – they do go back on though.

I’m always looking for ways to keep my furniture from scratching our floors. I’ve tried plastic caps, furniture pads, stick on padding. The pads were okay but had to replace often ’cause the pads would fall off and get sticky gunk on the floor.

When I saw these, I thought ‘okay, let’s try this’. Awesome! They look good and work well. When the furniture moves, they really protect the floor. I’ll buy again and strongly recommend. By the way, our floors are stone tile.

If these were a little less expensive, I’d buy them for everything in the house! I ordered one pack to see if they’d help with an antique chair that has worn wheels that scratch the floor. The brown ones blend right in with the wood and the sticky pads on the bottom hold the chair still so it doesn’t slip around a bit and cause scratches when someone “active” (like a visiting teenager) sits on it.

The only problem is that they tend to collect dust and dog/cat hair if I don’t clean often enough. But overall, I think they’re terrific. A little pricey, but I’ll probably buy more.

I totally LOVE these. They have the little nubbies on the inside which keep them from slipping off. I also can insert the little round stick on felts and it keeps them on the legs. Not to mention that everyone who comes over and sees them comments about the “cute” little “baby socks” on my furniture and asks where I got them.

I had tried several other products as I was worried that the plastic insets in the bar stool legs would wear out and scratch my oak floor. These sliders didn’t work with just the adhesive but they worked fine with the screws into the plastic inserts.

They’d work even better on wood legs. Now I have a replaceable/ renewable protection for my floors.

I put these on several weeks ago. Chairs slide easily on my hardwood floor. I was thrilled to have finally found something other than those nasty felt pads but I’m now seeing very fine scratches in the wood.

So disappointed!.

After installing a new tile floor I was worried that the dining chairs would catch on the tile edges if they were a little imperfect at the grout joints. With these new furniture glides the chairs scoot easily, even with the weight of a person sitting in the chair.

I’m very satisfied.

Sizing for card table chairs with the medium is still too large. The leg does not grip the protector. Hot glue was used on the felt pads previously put on the chair legs. They work much better on strange legs but chairs have sloped front legs and the leg angles off the pad at a 45 degree angle.

This could easily lead to the chair leg cutting trough the rubber protector and damaging the floor. For the price I was disappointed and would not recommend these as an all around cure.

We have used these on two sets of chairs over a period of 5 years and they are awesome. We have wood floors and the felt pads that you stick to the bottom of our kitchen chair legs just wasn’t cutting it.

They flatten out and shift. We got these and viola! They worked beautifully and STAY ON! Only con is they are a bear to get on the rounded bulb feet on our wooden chairs. The silicon stretches but struggles with stretching all directions around a bulb end because it wants to stick to the wood.

But we found a solution for that: Olive oil. I just rubbed a little olive oil around the wider bulb end and these babies practically slid right into place. Olive oil is absorbed into the wood – so it won’t linger.

Problem solved!.

I read some mixed reviews about these, but decided to try as we were tired of felt getting disgusting and falling off. These work. The ones that are almost a little too tight are actually better. Just use a hair dryer on it for a few seconds to make it a little more flexible, then pull it on the leg.

I smoothed it out tight around the leg and then used the hairdryer again. It worked perfectly! When the smaller one is just too small and the larger one is too big, it’s a little harder, but I used the blow dryer to try to mold it a little once it was on the leg.

There is a little gap, but they don’t fall off. Either way, much better than the felt. Love them now!.

Slide easily, smoothly and quietly on my wood floor but low rating because they were EXTREMELY difficult to put on even though stool legs were only a fraction of an inch larger that the plastic sleeve.

Even using hot water to soften the plastic, pliers, and a hammer it was still a struggle.

After having a huge problem with the sticky pads for furniture legs, I ordered some of these plastic slip-on sleeves. They work really well! So far we’ve had no problem with them coming off or cracking.

They slide really well.

Did a great job on some very heavy furniture sitting on a wood veneer floor. Follow the instructions for the best result. I cleaned the furniture feet with methylated spirits before sticking the pads on.

Cuts to size with a stanley knife. Use a fresh blade. Recommend !.

These felt pads are top quality than any hardware store/shops because these will last long and you will get your money’s worth.

it does it job, I have these stuck on the wall behind the bedhead to stop it damaging the wallpaper.

Using the sizing tool I determined that I needed a #4 for our mid century chairs. They arrived in a timely manner and fit just fine. Nice quality too. If the felt bottom was brown to match the wood floor they would be perfect.

I purchased several other protectors & they were. Either too small or too big. Your site gave me three choices and the covers fit perfectly. I ordered another bag to have on hand!

These sleeve floor protectors worked perfectly on my stools and chairs! The clear covering makes them almost invisible. Really great pads to protect my wood floors.

These protector socks are great! I call them “little booties” because they are like putting little socks on the legs of the chairs. I’m going to purchase more! I need them for the bistro table in the kitchen nook area, and around some side tables in the living room.

I chose the black ones. I have darker wood tones and it doesn’t even look like they are there! Easy to clean too!! Just throw in the washer, I use a lingerie bag so they don’t get lost, and they dry in seconds so no need for dryer.

The price, to me, was a bit high, but I’m willing to purchase more so I feel they are definitely worth the price.

I bought several sets of the brown furniture floor protectors for the chairs (oak wood) in the dinning room a few years ago. They still look nice and are holding up well. I decided to get some more for my bar stools.

I use them to cover the ugly green tennis balls on the chair feet. The tennis balls keep the floor from being scratched and slide nicely on the hardwood floor. The socks help hold the tennis balls on better and blend in with the oak chairs.

Weird, but it works. I did try just the socks, but the chairs didn’t slide as nice on the wood floor. The chair would catch as it slid from one board to another. It’d probably work better on linoleum floors.

My sister laughed at me for doing this, but she has now done the same to her chairs!.

These have been a game changer on our house. My bar chairs at my counter have made horrible noise when we pulled them out from under the counter in our kitchen. We have tile floors. Theses little socks have made it whisper quiet now.

Love them. I haven’t washed them to see how they hold up but they look well made with good padding. I bought extra for our table and chairs in the dinning room that has hardwood.

Junk. Don’t buy. When you slide the chair, the chair cap comes off. This doesn’t happen with just one chair, but all chairs. Complete waste of money

I should have purchased these items sooner. They are a bit hard to put on the furniture. However. They keep the floors scuff mark free.

Having tried many hardwood floor protectors for the legs of my chairs, these are my favorites. They last longer than all other protectors, though the more chairs wearing these are dragged around, the shorter the life.

On chairs that are not moved, I have never replaced them – for many years now – and they are still as good as new.

I bought a set of these before. They do the job on round chair and table legs, but the clear rubber ages when stretched over larger chair or table legs. The first set I installed on my kitchen chairs lasted about a year and a half.

The clear rubber turned opaque with age and split on the sides. They’re not easy to stretch over larger chair legs but as I said they do the job. You just need to replace them periodically when they wear out.

I like them. I did do a double fold down on my dining chair socks because I didn’t want them to be as noticeable (they were rather tall socks). The elastic is durable but workable for a variety of leg shapes or sizes.

The felt bottom could be a thicker quality floor protection fabric– I was glad I all ready had a bit thicker stickon pads on mine and I did leave those on underneath these new socks for added cushion against marking the wood floors.

The socks make them slide in & out much more smoothly! Glad I bought them. I don’t have a photo but might try to attach one later.

I bought these and use on all my stools and chairs to avoid scratching the floors. They wash nicely too. I have used for several years and eventually they do stretch out a bit and fall off more. Just like real socks! I have bought replacements though and will continue do to do as long as I can purchase more.

I like them better than the stuck on adhesive sold elsewhere. Guests think they look cute like they are keeping my chairs warm! Lol!.

I don’t use it on furniture, but as an end buffer on a pole mounted tool. Due to its conical shape I can “trap” the buffer, and don’t need any mounting screw. I’m not sure how you could hold the buffer sufficiently onto furniture that gets dragged around the floor.

Maybe suits speakers or something that doesn’t get moved much. It’s ideal for what I want, and the price is good, and delivery quicker than expected. I hope they remain available, as I have tailored my design to accept these buffers.

The rubber feet was exactly what I thought it would be. I fabricated plywood cases for my planes and the hinge on the bottom made it unsteady when stored upright. The rubber feet raises the hinge up off the floor and allows the case to be stored upright without tipping over.

These are just the right hardness for the rubber I need – not too stiff, not too soft – I use them on my projects

These furniture pads are perfect. great adhesive and various shapes fit all kinds of furniture “feet”. My only suggestion would be is to include another full square with the one enclosed in the package but that doesn’t negate my 5 star rating.

These are a superb product and a good value.

I wish there were more larger pads for my use (1 & 2 inch) The small little dots are only good for table top applications. In the ad you should state how many of each you’re gettinng.

Love the color blends in with my wooden chairs. They stick really good very good quality . The best I have every purchased. Highly recommend them.

I own a Spider Farmer. Dont know in the long run but after a couple of months Carambola proved just as good. Plants love it. Gets a little warm on the surface but a couple of CPU coolers (no fan) did the trick.

Seems to be made of some cast alloy. Definitely NOT made of plastic. At least, mine wasn’t. Heavy, with a decent quality finish.

I bought the product and since they did not send it to me in 2 months later, their behavior in their communication with me was also unacceptable. I prefer you to avoid the purchase if you do not want to get involved like me.

I followed directions about ordering the next size up if the measurement was at the max for one size. The floor protectors are great but if I pick up the chair, they fall off, they are actually too loose so I should have purchased the exact size after all and hoped I could get them on.

I took the advice offered and regret it. I will continue to use these as returned the remaining sets (4 sets left in bags at this point) costs more than it is worth to exchange them. Free shipping on a return would allow me to do that so at least most of my chairs would have floor protectors that fit as they intended to fit.

These are perfect for my needs in so many ways. They fit both round and rectangular furniture legs. For rectangular I picked the next size up and they work well. They are basically invisible on the furniture legs.
