20 Best Floor Paint For Concrete (2023 Updated)

Very easy to use, easy cleanup, inexpensive and arrived quickly.

Very Good Product. Used in the past and was very satisfied with the quality.

While the packaging is beautiful and the instruction is simple, I was scratching my head when using this kit. I followed the instruction to the dot, but the epoxy just didn’t want to mix properly. The paint come in compartmentalized bags, and you’re supposed to mix the two IN THE BAG for 3 minutes.

I mixed it and massaged it for 10 minutes, and I could feel that there were chunky bits and pieces that were not getting incorporated. I should’ve thrown it away, but I went against my guts and painted it onto my etched concrete — and after a day I can tell that it’s not working as it should: the color is uneven, the texture is sticky, and the chunky bits are showing up & are breaking off when you touch it.

If you’re looking to epoxy your garage, I recommend getting 2-part epoxy that are BOTH liquid. Amazon carries one called “Supercoat”.

Very easy to use. Comes with concrete etching covers easy. My garage floor has never looked better. One thing I noticed is if you spread it a bit too thin the gloss is not as good. Still would recommend this to anyone that wants a great looking floor.

Floor prep, floor prep, floor prep. That is the first key to the successful use of this product. The second key is floor prep! Just follow the directions, to the letter, and it will work out well. Buy one more kit than you will think you need.

Paying the 10% restocking fee if you do not need it is MUCH preferable than running out before you have finished the job.

Bought the recommended volume after talking to customer service. I bought extra because I wanted to paint a third coat. Service was spot on, knowledgeable and answered every question truthfully. Prepped the patio and used Drylok to patch holes and cracks.

I should have worked a bit harder and filled cracks less than 1/8″ but I was being lazy. Product came in gallons and I transferred to a 5-gallon can to ensure color quality. Put on first coat on half of the patio and it covered as described and explained.

Applied 2nd coat next day and could not see a transition color. Only problem was the cracks that were at 1/8″ that did not fill well. In a couple of days and if the weather is warm enough, I will apply a third and final coat.

With the coverage of cracks on 2nd coat, I believe the cracks will pretty much disappear. The third coat will bring a smooth and excellent finish. I could not be happier and I am very glad I bought this product.

This Epoxy Floor Paint went on very easy and had little prep work before hand. The shop looks so much better and is easy to clean up as opposed to just plain paint. And the best part, no odor. The brushes and rollers were so easy to use and clean up.

Thanks for making a great product. We couldn’t believe the price being so reasonable but producing a great finish.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe had very slippery hardwood stairs in a fine home. The poly finish was pretty but too slick for me. Even my dog could not get a good grip and was afraid to use the stairs.

We found Dura Grip online and ordered a gallon of Clear WB, water based. I cleaned the stair treads with isopropyl alcohol. I applied the first coat with the open foam roller supplied with the paint.

This worked fine but left bubbles in the surface, and those bubbles survived the drying. Fortunately the milky tint faded and the first coat dried very clear. We did not want to obscure the oak wood grain.

I took a rolling pin and popped the bubbles before the second coat, which I applied (in the opposite direction) with a fine foam 6″ roller. This filled in the bubble craters, and did not leave new ones.

The stairs came out clear, hard and with a nice rough finish. I am pleased with the result, especially the non-slip surface. From eye level you can tell the finish is different than the floors and landing, but the wood grain shows fine and it is so much safer who cares! Very happy customer!.

Thats no problem, many paints settle out in layers. It might have taken a bit longer maybe. But the consistency was not expected. It was quite thin. I was refinishing a diamond clad staircase which was originally black and very hot on bare feet on a sunny day so we chose the lightest gray.

The directions recommended two coats and with the runny paint I thought I was going to be doing a second coat for sure. Most non slip paints, you can see granules in the paint. I saw nothing. Even when painting it on.

Strange. Have to be careful and load brush and rollers just right to prevent drips and runs. Now here is the WOW part. After a few hours I went back out to look at the stairs and there it was; a fine stippled finish.

I called everyone out to look at it!! Of course they were’nt near as excited as I was lol. Now here is the best part. It did’nt need a second coat. One coat covered the black very well. Im not even sure I used a full quart, but then again I rung out the roller and brush really well back into the paint bucket.

Now Im trying to figure out what else needs this stuff!!!So the “doctors” in slipdoctors is the real deal. It has to be some kind of crazy chemical reaction or the granules are so small they cant really be seen.

Reason: being handicapped in my senior years, I demanded someone trust worthy when purchasing superior paint, in addition to the Ramp cost of $2,000- I was not satisfied with the paint quality offered from major named paint companies in my community.

To protect the pretreated wood, I was so thankful to find “Slip Doctors” located in Texas, when utilizing the Internet, with me located in Staten Island. Daniel Cutright, the Product Specialist of Slip Doctors was a blessing for me to say the least.

The sole business of this company is SAFETY. I purchased “Dura Grip, Clear. Daniel Cutright, supervised me amd my painter for 2 days, with emails, step by step product information and by phone. Today, my ramp is so beautiful and so safe to walk on.

I was in the middle of a difficult move and have been very ill but I did open the samples today and I was absolutely compelled to tell you that as a person with an anaphylactic latex allergy, mast cell disease causing excessive reactions/chemical sensitivities that I can NOT get over how amazing your paint is.

I smelled absolutely nothing. I simply can not believe it. Not a single smell/reaction/issue. I’m not stable enough to paint quite yet, but the samples were both close enough and I will be ordering it.

I just came from an apartment that was brand new and was making me so sick every day from the paint/chemicals. I also sent your company’s info to my immunologist and everyone I know like me. You have new, loyal customers! In a world where things have become difficult for many, not just me, I can’t tell you how amazing it is that you cared and created a place for things so vital to being healthy in your own home.

This was our first experience using Ecos paint. It had a watery consistency that made it harder to use, and required three coats. The initial smell gave me a headache; and when we had to close the windows because of a neighbor burning rubbish, it gave me a terrible migraine headache.

However, we were very pleased with how fast it cured, with no odor the next day. Finished room looks beautiful. I would recommend this, but need someone else to do the painting who tolerates it when wet.

I was sent the wrong product. I ordered a shade of blue-green, but was sent white. I was planning to send it back, but the painter used it against my wishes and knowledge to lighten up the rest of the blue-green, which was several shades darker than it appeared in the color chart, which was also true of the yellow I had ordered.

I could not believe that the color chart was so off, and that no one had bothered to explain that anywhere that I could see.

I used Rust-Oleum “Professional” grade EpoxyShield 2 part epoxy. Regular Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Garage is a 2 part non-catalyzed paint, which is powdered epoxy suspended in water, it’s “Fake News” (found out via YouTube video just before application of the “non-professional product).

Then covered with Rust-Oleum Epoxy Clear. Results turned out amazing. Ran Epoxy Shield to outside edge of slab, but stopped clear coat at door’s edge due to clear coat yellowing over time, due to direct sunlight.

Wished I knew some of this before I started. now you have your official tip! Also used Elastipoxy. This stuff works great but they are very proud of their product ($$$$). Make sure you let it sit before use (gets rid of bubble holes when set up).

They recommend filling concrete control joint with sand. I did this and tamped down with side of flat bar and hammer. First time pour, product filler joint, but partially soaked into sand, then needing a second coat, after it hardened $$$.

2 quart cans only covered half of the joints in a 3 car track home garage, with this technique. I reluctantly ordered a second set. Filled joint with tamped sand again. Tried covering sand with electrical and masking tape (to reduce seepage), but couldn’t get a solid seal.

Then covered sand with thin layer of $14 polyester resin. This put a thin seal over the sand. I let harden, then poured ElastiPoxy over the compacted resin covered sand. The resin prevented seepage. If I had done this technique, I might have done the whole project with one 2 quart set.

I recommend doing ElasiPoxy after all concrete prep work is done prior to epoxy coating whole floor, meaning degrease, pressure wash, TSP, and etch. Found a blow torch worked best to remove stubborn oil stains, it’s kind of like removing oil shale, but the torch burns off oil once out.

Once hardened grind off with belt sander till smooth with 36 to 80 grit. If you are lucky enough not to grind leave it. It tends to build up on edges, so grinding makes it flush. Ground product takes a little more attention when applying epoxy floor coat, as it has just a hint of porosity.

Over all product is just what the doctor ordered. Seems to be just a bit more elastic then Bondo, when hardened. Still wondering if Bondo will work because of price, but not willing to experiment due to over-all price of floor.

Super fast shipment, great price. Would definitely buy again. This was floor paint. 1 can was damaged inside the box though the outer box itself wasn’t damaged. Did not affect use of the product. Someone perhaps manufacturer loaded a damaged can or second into this package.

Here is what we thought of the application. The worst part was opening the 5 gallon can. We had heard that comment from another reviewer. The product went on very smoothly to our 3 bay garage and doesn’t leave roll marks and levels extremely well.

The odor is manageable with good ventilation. As recommended, we rented a sander to roughen up the smooth surface of the floor and deal with some heavy oil spotting. The customer service was excellent and they were very helpful in both email and phone conversations.

We were able to apply a second coat after the expected four hours. It covers extremely well and leaves a nice solid shinny color with no streaks. Two people working was great. One doing the cut-ins while the other rolls.

We did have problems with flies and other insects getting into the paint which made it challenging to get them out. Oh well! One recommendation I would make is to make sure you vacuum thoroughly before you apply.

We use the blower and that was not enough in my opinion. We did notice that if sun got on it we had a few bubbles. Because our floors were very smooth we had enough paint left to do the small one bay garage with two coats as well.

We gave a third coat to the area where the tractor sits and that pretty much use up the 5 gallons. We tried to reuse the roller for the second coat but don’t bother, start with a new roller. The brush for cut-ins stayed in acetone between coats but in the end that too was discarded.

In terms of applying we would highly recommend this product over an epoxy. The working time was good and we never felt we were rushed. It seems very durable so we have high hopes that it has longevity and can stand the wear of vehicles, tractors and four wheelers.

We didn’t find many reviews on this product when we were researching and so I wanted to write this review. I hope it will give someone confidence to try it.

Our garage is 45 years old and approximately 380 sq. Ft. , and thus we ordered 2 gallons of Rust Bullet, along with 1 quart of the recommended spot treatment. We should have ordered 2 quarts of the spot treatment, as 1 quart only covered 1/2 of our garage (we chose to use a similar product from Home Depot for the spots on the other half, rather than delay our project to place a 2nd order).

We followed all instructions and one gallon of Rust Bullet provided full coverage for the fist coat. There was a very small amount (less than 1/2 inch) of product left from the 2nd gallon after applying the 2nd coat.

We spoke to a representative from the distributor regarding how to handle a significant 1/8 to 1/2 inch Crack down the middle of our garage floor. They strongly recommended the use of SikaFlex, after the Rust Bullet had cured for 72 hours.

We followed this advice and are extremely happy with the outcome of our total project. I had painted the ceiling and walls, before starting on the floor, with latex paints. Rust Bullet fully covered all of the drippings/spots from the wall/ceiling paints.

My wife says it looks better than a brand new garage. Now we begin normal usage and see if the product can stand up truly stnd up to this usage for up to 10 years. We purchased SikaFlex at Home Depot and filling our Crack required 2 and 1/2 tubs.

Sika manufactures many products, but SikaFlex comes in Caulking tubs. The product comes out kind of runny, but then self levels into the Crack and begins curing within a couple of hours.

Before applying this product to my garage floor I wanted to test it against some common shop chemicals. I first applied 3 coats, based on the manufacturers recommendation, on an unsealed piece of concrete.

If your floor is sealed or has grease or oil stains you must remove it first. After the Rust Bullet dried I applied the following chemicals, some several times due to high evaporation rate, and let the others sit on the concrete until the next day.

The chemicals that I applied were paint thinner, MEK, brake cleaner, brake fluid, and gasoline. The results were impressive. The next day I looked at the concrete and I literally could not find any trace of the chemicals or failure of the Rust Bullet product.

I am now waiting for the warmer weather so I can apply this product to my garage floor. I’ll add pictures to this review once we have completed the job. Also note this product does NOT like HUMIDITY so follow the instructions carefully.

My old porch was peeling pretty badly after only 7 years. I believe this was due to the primer on the pre-primed wood floor being subpar, so it was time to attack things. Sanded the old paint to remove loose and chipping paint and applied a coat of Kilz 3 Premium Primer, per instructions.

The first coat over the primed floor had me concerned that I would need a 3rd coat, as there were visible differences in color due to areas where I had cut the primer in with a brush, then rolled the rest.

HOWEVER, the second coat left the entire project with a consistent color. The porch is just over 200 square feet, and I was able to apply 2 coats. *** NOTE TO KILZ *** – A gray primer would really be helpful with the Slate Gray Porch & Patio Floor Paint! It would greatly enhance the finished product from the perspective of color depth! While Kilz makes a gray primer, it is not recommended for floors.

now I need to see how it holds up.

I bought this for my son who had a stroke. I used it in his laundry room so the floor wouldnt be slick. I bought Over Armor for his outside steps and porches, I rolled it on fine textured so he would have more traction.

Ive also used the primer at his house. Some day I eamt to use your paint inside for his upstairs. I really liked using all of it, where its thicker it doesnt run as bad.

WOW! ! I am so impressed with this product. It is really good paint and I would say its the best paint that Ive ever used. Our deck was in rough shape, hairline cracks, rust stains and alot of places of fading.

Ive thought about painting it for the past couple of summers, but life happens and it was not top priority. After repairing the cracks and scrubbing the deck with a brush and dish soap, (no acid), rinsing well, I ventured into this 3 day project.

I tried both a 1 1/4 inch and a 3/4″ napped roller, but feel the 3/4″ wasthe one that worked best on our deck. Questioned whether I would need more paint, because it was drying spotty BUT this morning it looked fantastic and will not require a second coat.

The paint is thick so I poured a small amount of water on the deck to keep my roller from drying out too quickly. This also helped fill in the pin-hole size areas. I am not finished, as I still need to do the inside edge around the pool but will wait until the water warms up.

This paint is worth every penny of its cost. I have NO complaints. Try it youll like it! (Also, your customer rep, Keturah was helpful and pleasant when I placed my order).

This covering is like smearing on a coat of new skin for your concrete. Very tough to get spread over the concrete before it starts setting up. Make sure it is on a cool hopefully shaded day with no chance of rain.

We applied on a 90 degree day in the full sun and it was setting up so fast we had to spray it down with a water spritzer to finish smoothing it out. But covers cracks well and nothing shows through our covering.

Paint is easy to apply, (need to follow directions for surface prep, including cleaning). It is very tough. Once dried, It holds up to sliding furniture, etc, which I was concerned about. the only thing is I could not clean oil stains off, so this is not for a garage floor.

Also, the color are lighter than the online photos. I had to try several colors before deciding on one.

Pros: This product is great it looks good, most of my time was getting the garage floor which had cracks ready for this to go over the garage cement. I like what it look like when it was done. Easy to apply and follow the instructions to the tee, make sure the cement floor is clean.

Cons: The only thing I can say if you want you have to buy more flakes to make it look great.

I struggled to find the right time to put this down on my garage floor because of the wide temperature swings in Arizona, but once it was installed I was extremely pleased with the end result. It completely changed the look of my garage.

I included one before picture along with 2 after the installation for reference purposes.

The product arrived on time and the instruction were easy to follow. My floor looks fantastic!

This product was expensive, difficult and time consuming to apply, but if it held up as stated, worth it. Right? Unfortunately, after only one winter, the product flaked off where the car is parked. A big disappointment.

The rest of the garage held up well. However, you get it to protect the floor under the car. Not worth the money.
