20 Best Floor For Living Room (2023 Updated)

The yellow color of this rug is so bright and beautiful in person. It is a little thin but it’s not in a high traffic area so I didn’t mind or even use a pad. I was a little surprised that it shipped folded in half considering I bought it from a rug specialty site.

The 8×8 rug was folded and rolled so that it was 4′. I had previously purchased an 8×10 from a different, non rug-specialist website and that one came just rolled, not folded. The package was 8′ long.

So the crease from the fold is still kind of there after a few weeks even after I’ve put books, weights, etc on it. I’m sure it will disappear eventually. Overall, I’m pleased with the size and look of this rug!.

We’ve been using this rug for about a week and a half. 6′ round, used underneath a kid’s table & chairs so that they don’t scratch the luxury vinyl tiles/”boards. ” Purchased on sale for $50. I’m happy with this rug overall.

The pattern and color are what I had expected from the website, and I’m happy how well it looks in our living room alcove. Hides dirt/droppings from a toddler well, while looking classy. Vacumes well.

When it arrived, the carpet pile had dark lines from being folded and wrapped in plastic, but a week unfurled and those are almost gone now. Still a little wrinkled at the edges, but that should get pressed out more as we walk on it.

Seems to be a good rug for the price. Two reasons for a 4 star rating. 1) the pile is rather thin. When the rug is bent, the woven infrastructure is visible. It usually lies flat, so the visual is no big deal.

But it does mean a less padded underfoot experience. I am glad we got the no-skid carpet pad for underneath. 2) when we built a blanket fort over the rug, it ended up smelling a bit like plastic or acrylic inside the fort after a few hours.

Not noticeable when opened to the room’s air flow normally, but this could be an issue if you put it in a small, unventilated space. Hoping it airs out soon, as we plan to have many more blanket forts in the future.

I love this rug! I did have the unfortunate experience of having my shipping label get misplaced after I paid for 2day shipping. After waiting over a week for the rug and not getting any updates on the status, I was able to email customer service about the issue and they were quick, and so kind and polite to help out! They refunded my shipping expense, and my rug was in my possession within a week of getting the issue resolved! When I took it out of the bag, it was just what the photo looks like! Doesn’t have a over bearing chemical smell, and laid flat right away! Love it so much! Will absolutely be back to buy another!.

Before I placed my Order I called and the customer service was so helpful to explain that the rug shades were right on to what was pictured. Confident that they cared about being satisfied when I received my entry rug.

The size was great and the quality was great! But shade of lilac was a total different shade. from the picture. I called customer service and the gentleman asked me to take a picture of my received product.

Once he saw it he said it was right on and the exact color. The color was not even close to the same color. But not to argue the shade being off for many reasons, from monitors, lighting in the home etc.

Sorry he said, they can’t honor a free return shipping label that it would be at my cost. Doing business with a company that doesn’t offer free returns is costly to Hope their products are true to colors depicted.

It cost me $45. 00 to return the 5. 6” square rug back to them. Customer Service at its finest would have been great if I had gotten an apology and to help me choose another color to exchange it for another rug to help me save me the $45 return fee.

I just can’t risk that kind of cash to hope for the best!.

I love these rugs. I have purchased several different styles, sizes, and colors over the last five years. They pile is wonderful (it’s so soft), and they vacuum off well. I have never had an issue of loose threads.

AND, the ends don’t curl up. I just roll the carpet in the reverse direction upon arrival (for a couple hours) then use it. The colors have been hit and miss (compared to online pictures) yet, they haven’t been awful.

Just expect a two tone mixture rather than a true solid color.

Beautiful rug but pretty black and white. not what I was expecting. I thought there’d be more earthy tones but it was super cold in my dining room. The transition from black to white is not smooth either – not much flow.

I was looking for something a little bit more abstract. I intended on putting this under a dining room table, but it would work great in a living room/great room as well. Soft yet firm rug! I would have kept it if the design worked with my space.

Rug came folded since I ordered an 8×11. I ended up returning it so it was a bit of a hassle.

Arrived in a timely manner… and is perfect size and color for my small studio!!! And feels great underfoot!!! I have tile floor so ended up getting the non slip thingy underneath… glad I did!!! But I love it!!! The price for the quality and service is amazing!!! Thank you!.

Very pleased with this purchase. The rug is super soft and comfortable. My kitties love it too. I purchased the light blue and Im glad I did because my walls are a blueish color and it goes perfectly – not too blue.

We received it quickly, was packaged very well. Do make sure to purchase a rug mat for underneath. We have new floors and the rug does not have a soft underlining so this way it does not scratch the floor.

Otherwise Im so happy with it and plan to purchase more for a different room.

These rugs worked so well for us. They washed great and I dried them on a drying rack once a week and never had any problems—until we noticed the discoloration on our new floors. We had vinyl floors put down on July of 2019, then bought these rugs in June of 2020.

It’s November and they have already damaged our floors. While they work great and deliver on what the company says they can do, I would pass on these if you have vinyl or linoleum. I’m sure they would be perfect for other floors though.

I’m bummed that I have to buy new rugs and potentially replace part of my new floors.

I have a set of rugs from the same manufacturer in my main bath. I liked them so much I went looking for ones for the guest bath. These are a perfect match for the shower curtain. I love the rubber backing that prevents slipping.

These are low pile which is what I prefer. I highly recommend.

This rug is very soft and has a very high 2 inch pile. It is a very full shag rug, great to make a room cozy. Just beware that the colors in the picture are not exactly as the actual rug looks. This rug is NOT ivory and light grey.

The lighter colored area is a mix of tan, beige fibers and the grey lines are dark grey and blackish strands. Overall this rug is much darker than pictured. It is very plush, and is nice quality. Just know that if you are trying to match furniture or paint colors, it is not as pictured.

I also ordered it in the grey with ivory diamonds. That grey is definitely more of a brownish grey than a silvery grey. The fibers on the dark grey rug are a mix of grey, black, and brownish giving the rug an overall dirty grey with brown tones effect.

The diamonds are dark cream, beige. I had to return both rugs as I was looking for a more charcoal grey and ivory look, not more on the brown side. Loved the plush softness of this rug and would recommend if you have brown tones in your space.

It does have a strong new carpet smell for a few days.

This rug measures 7’9″ by 10’4″ so it is not a common rug size and was priced less than a standard 6×9 or 8×10 maybe for that reason. I liked the appearance of it online and the price, so I thought I’d try it.

I’d consider it a medium weight, and it was a bit rippled when I unrolled it, so I smoothed it out and added flat weight to speed up the settling process. The colors are almost as pictured online so I was happy they’d coordinate with my room colors.

Other reviewers pointed out that the rug is not white as pictured, which I would have preferred, but that it is a beige–different from the online photos. But I bought it anyway because the other colors are the ones I wanted to complete this happy room.

🙂 I used a needle and thread to secure the binding thread at each corner so that it will not unravel with use (some of it was a bit loose). It looks good and feels good to walk on (unlike some rugs that have yarn that sticks to your feet).

I would be likely to make another purchase in the future.

If you are looking for a high quality rug that really brightens up your living space without breaking your bank, look no further. This rug was my first choice after a 5-minute search. Then I spent several days looking at other rugs and returned to this one because I could not find a better balance of color, softness, size, price, and positive reviews.

I chose the 7’10×10’6 size and it has really opened up my livingroom with soft and bright shades. The rug definitely needs a rug pad if you’re looking for comfort on your feet (I almost picked a 1″ pile shag rug over this).

The colors are brighter in the product than they appear online. The rug flattened out the first time and I only needed to use some heavy weights in a couple of spots for a day. On a sunny day, the colors are so pretty that the rug passes off for a fabric painting.

If I had to name this rug, I wouldn’t call it “Celestial Sealife” because that just sounds very confusing. More like an Impressionist painting! I could not be happier with this purchase!.

This is the second of this faux, machine woven, durable rug I have bought of this brand and I am contemplating yet another. I live on the beach so sandy feet and very strong sun can badly damage fine, silk wool carpets.

This, and the others of the same ilk. Are deceptively effective and I can take a hose to them. Soft on the feet! Acrylic I believe. I laid it, an 18 runner, on top of a real kilm as a measure of protection and it is adjacent to a real silk rug.

It simply blends in. I am delighted by the extensive product line, so many choices, so many patterns and colours, all sizes. As I said, second purchase of the brand and contemplating another. Mind you, it is not a real kilm, nor, upon inspection does it look like one but, of my, the effect is very, very good and I am pleased to announce it as a machine-made fake! The company has higher end, hand woven products as well and I would be pleased to buy among those choices too for a less busy travel path.

I’ve purchased this brand before and I’ve not had a rug I didn’t like. This color/pattern very is nice, but not very vibrant. It looks like the side used for the runner was the broken/faded side of the larger pictured rugs.

It was also longer than I needed, but that was my fault for not calculating the exact length of flooring I intended to cover.

I have been on the search for a great area rug for about a year now. I had looked at this rug once before, but skipped over it (I can’t remember the reason why either). I started my hunt again for an area rug and landed on this one.

This rug arrived on time and is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is perfect!!! The colors are rich and original. The color distressing is amazing. I was kind of bracing myself for bright colors and wasn’t a big fan of the pink that was scattered throughout, BUT it is so subtle that it totally makes the rug original.

I love it! I also have an iRoomba vacuum and it flows right over it from the hard wood to the rug with ease. The quality of the rug is what makes me love it even more. If you are on the fence about this rug just buy it already! You will NOT regret it.

It is such a subtle statement piece that you’ll fall in love instantly 🙂 BUY IT!.

I’ve had this rug for a little over a week now and like it more every day. I was really pleased that the red is a bit of a deeper, richer hue than how it appears online. The pattern is very attractive, the colors all work beautifully together, and the texture is nice and soft.

It seems sturdy too–I have two cats who have both tried to claw it but they haven’t done any damage yet. I’m knocking off a star because: 1) I ordered the 3’x5′ size but it’s a couple inches shy of 3′ wide, which is disappointing as I ordered it very purposefully for the space; and 2) there are still a couple bumps even after laying heavy books down to flatten it for several days; hopefully they’ll work themselves out soon.

This said, I do recommend it.

My rug arrived with what appears to be a join between two consecutive pieces of carpeting across its width. This should never have made it out of the factory–much less been sold as a non-returnable product by Zulily.

I’ve been a regular Zulily customer for years, but I’m not shopping here again because too many things are defective or misrepresented–especially anything made of fabric. Not another penny is going to be wasted here by me.

Bought this 2. 2′ x 6′ runner for the bedroom porcelain floor in front of our king-size bed. Very happy with the quality design and soft feel of the rug itself. Looks great, and also is helpful for our small dog who jumps down on it from the bed.

This rug is just as it’s pictured on the site, but prettier!! The texture is awesome! The higher part of the rug (the lighter greys) is very soft and feels very squishy! I did NOT get a rug pad. The lower pile (the dark grey swirls) is thinner but it’s still nice and feels nice to walk on.

I’d call the higher pile lighter greys more of a medium grey and the darker swirls more of a dark/charcoal grey. In the lighter greys it actually looks like there are different shades within that part.

What your feet feel is the higher pile as you walk over the rug. This rug is just perfect! I bought the 9’2” x 12’ for my den. I have 6 dogs and was worried the rug would be too light, but it’s NOT, and it seems like it is not showing dog hair, etc at all (only had a few days though).

Unfortunately my rug had 2 places that were defective. It looked as if there was missing yarns or two “cuts” in the darker grey on just one of the dark grey swirls of the rug. However, Zharvene with customer service was AWESOME and worked with me, and the result was my receiving a more than fair discount as I did not want to, nor was I able to, pack the rug back up for an exchange.

It’s STILL a beautiful rug (defect and all). It might be that I can put the end of the rug where the defect is underneath the front of my sofa, but for now I’m leaving it as is, and it’s still beautiful! I feel the service I received from Zharvene regarding the defect and the QUICK and FAIR manner in which it was resolved, gives me complete trust to order from usarugs.

com in the future, without a worry in the world! The refund given back to my original payment method was accomplished within just a few hours of my calling Zharvene about the defects. Though it hasn’t posted yet, I’m sure that it will be within the 1-3 business days, and I did receive email confirmation to that effect.

I bought a light color, so I was expecting some extra care for the carpet, but this carpet is dirt magnet. We had it out for two weeks and it’s FILTHY! We do NOT wear shoes in the house. We bought another rug in similar color for our bedroom and that does not show any wear.

Unless you wear hospital slip on protectors, don’t bother with it. It will be ruined in few weeks.

The rug may be beautiful, I don’t know. I never unrolled it out of the plastic covering. I could tell by looking at it that the backing is not “Slip Cotton Backing” “100% Cotton Backing” as advertised.

The picture makes it look soft on the backing but it’s not. It’s rough. Very frustrated.

Roommate and I really wanted to spruce up the den. It’s a mostly grey box and pretty sparse with furnishings. This rug was great. It’s colorful and really brings some pop into the room. It feels well made so I’m hopeful that it holds up over time.

Overall, we’re really happy with this and would recommend it. The colors are nicer in person than the picture.

I recently currently purchased a 60 year old home without much ceiling lighting. My living room even with two lamps was so dark. These lamps changed the entire room; they are so beautiful and bright.

My 13 years old helped me set up in 5 mins, just some twisting to put together. I think the hardest part is getting them out of the phenomenal packaging. I also ordered the recommended 75 watt bulbs and only usually use one side.

I purchased this rug, along with the padding, about a month ago and I am so pleased. I wanted a gold shag rug, but many of the shag rugs say “no beater bar” but my vacuum has a beater bar. The “Everyday Shag Rug” didn’t carry that warning, and I wanted a rug I could vacuum.

Also I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a simple rug for my bedroom. I bought this everyday Shag Rug, along with the padding, and I am totally and completely pleased with the combo. It looks & feels just like I wanted.

Shipping was very fast, and the rug came very well protected and packaged. It is true to the photographs, even though some reviews said the gray looked more blue but I find it to be a true gray. I’ve had it a couple of weeks and it still hasn’t flattened out yet but this is supposed to be normal.

I’m weighing down the ridges with boxes and things trying to get it to flatten out. It’s a rather thin rug but that’s what I needed and the description stated this. it has a very intricate design that I don’t think I’ll get tired of soon.

Also, $99. 99 for a quality rug this big is an incredible price. All in all I’m very happy and the rug looks beautiful in my apartment. It treally classes up the joint! LOL.

I am very happy with the quality if this runner rug. I needed a 10 ft runner in my foyer to manage the wet foot traffic for occasional guests and letting the dog out. I needed a mainly black with warm brown secondary color to compliment my sturdier Front Gate all weather entry rug that was a gift.

This rug is just the right weight that when paired with the basic non skip pad is the perfect thickness. It vacuums line a dream with both my Hoover upright Windtunnel and my central vacuum. No pilling.

I purchased this same design and size from the same manufacturer a few years ago and was happy with the quality. However, this recent purchase from what appears to be the same manufacturer, size and design has been disappointing.

Yes, I unrolled the runner to straighten out the ripples, layer it out in the sun, dampened the surface…. to no avail. The runner remains slightly rippled, doesn’t lay flat but is also of a thinner weight than the original runner.

I’ve now relegated this runner to a spot that doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic until I can replace it.

This was a huge disappointment! I ordered this exact rug 2. 5 years ago from Target for $200 less than it is now and the quality was AMAZING. I re-ordered and was so incredibly disappointed in the quality.

Rug is thin, like something I would use for an outdoor rug, made of non-natural material and I would NEVER spend $400 on it. NuLoom has clearly taken the cheap route. My last rug was very thick, cotton, like an actual carpet.

I gave 1 star because the pattern is the same but otherwise, incredibly displeased. Took 2 photos of the new rug vs 2 of the old (review is showing old rug first I believe).

I dearly love this rug. It lays flat, super soft, gorgeous pattern. But. I really needed the red color to be perfectly true red. This looked good at night and would probably look good in a darker room, but mine is in a sunny room and during the day the red looks magenta or pink.

It clashes with my other red accents in the room. It would look good again at night or if I brushed the weave into a different direction. But I decided it just wasnt going to work ( I cant do pink and red beside each other).

I had decided to return it until I realized that is most difficult with a rug. I made a rash decision and grabbed a red sharpie, I figured I couldnt hurt it. It has worked beautifully! I have colored the entire red parts a true red.

Sharpie dried with no hardness, still super soft, and the most ideal color ever. I am in love with this. Cant believe I actually sharpied it but it worked. DIY project.

Would never purchase from this company again. Ordered the longer runner in off-white. I noticed immediately the rug is curved, as in isn’t a straight line. Looks ridiculous in a straight hallway. Contacted rush USA and they offered 40% off.

My fault for throwing away the box without looking, but you’d think they would make it right and just send a new rug. The absolute worst part is I never even received the 40% off a rug that currently occupies a dumpster.

I purchased this rug as a runner originally in 2017. The runner was nice and thick, comfortable to walk on or for my dog to nap on, and laid flatly on my wood floors. Because of the great quality of the runner, I purchased the 8×10 in 2023 to put in my home office.

I completely dislike the 8×10. It is nowhere near the same quality as the runner. The large rug is incredibly thin and it feels like I am walking on a wrinkly t-shirt over wood floors instead of the comfortably plush runner.

The 8×10 rug does not lay flat on the floor and easily bunches despite being laid out for over a month. My dog will not stay in the office and nap on the rug as she did on the runner. Based on the runner, I would recommend the purchase without hesitation.

However, based on the large rug, I would not recommend that anyone purchase it. If other rugs are the same poor quality as the large rug, I will not be purchasing from Rugs USA in the future.

I have long hesitated buying a rug online. but decided thisnrug would look amazing in my living room. I putchased along with their “premium” rug pad. Thats another review. I received the 9×12 rug, and it comes Folded.

I moved my furniture and placed the rug. gave it 2 weeks to relax and get rid of wrinlrs and fold marks. I out heavy objects on it as advised by the company. So disappointed. there are Waves in the entire rug that would not relax out.

Sent it back. It was pretty though.

Timely arrival from order date. Not an expensive rug which relates to it not being a very thick rug either so definitely needs padding underneath if using on solid surface floor. Purchased a large area rug (15×18) which arrived folded (not rolled).

Have had it about a month and still working on getting the creases out of the rug and for the edges to lie flat. Also purchased a runner rug (3×12) which arrived rolled but still having issues with getting the corners to lie down as well.

Hoping that adding padding underneath will help.
