20 Best Floor Chairs For Adults (2023 Updated)

I bought this to sit on the floor next to my dog and I can sit on and read it for about 45 minutes before wanting to change position. It would be useful for gamers, young children who want their own minisofa (if you bought two of these), and for folks who want to meditate.

The covers can be removed for spot cleaning, and the adjustment system is easy to use. I have the chair on the most upright setting and it holds its position and feels stable on the floor. I highly recommend this item after 2 weeks of ownership.

It is excellent value for money.

I bought this for my 5 yr old grandson because he loves sitting on th floor and watch TV. I sat down on the floor with him and was surprised how comfortable the chair is. It has very thick cushions on both the seat and the back.

I have been using the chair more than my grandson. I will order another one in a different color for my grandaughter.

These chairs are super comfortable, are well made, and very versatile. My son even slept on them and said they were so comfortable, he thought he was in his bed. I’ve ordered two more to add to the teen hangout room.

Once assembled the chair is quite comfortable and it is lightweight, which I am very happy about. On the down side, unless you have the right knowledge and skills it’s quite difficult to put together; a friend of mine who is an expert, commented that it was very easy to do the assembly badly as the area where work needed to be done hadn’t been prepared properly.

Also once the footrest part is up it can be a bit awkward to get out of the chair as there is no mechanism to take it down so you sort of have to wiggle off as best you can.

I got this as a gift for my brother. He recently was having back issues from gaming on the floor and his room is set up so everything is quite low. This chair was low enough to fit under his table but high enough that his long legs aren’t in a severe squat position, it swivels, has arm rests, and was mega easy to set up.

When he leans back, it leans with him so he can stretch easy. The many color options were the only difficult decision and I went with blue black because he recently saw Shang Chi and loved the villain’s colors.

Would purchase again and arrived very fast and before the holidays, even though I purchased it quite close to the 24th.

Item is wayyyyy too low to the ground. Not so easy to get up from it almost like a beach chair sinking in the sand. Makes no sense why it’s so low. It’s not that wide a d I can’t put my arms on the rests.

If I was a small teen I would be able to but this seemed to be an adult sized chair. For who? A Ken or Barbie doll? I’m not that wide but this is just nuts lol. Why would you have arms on the chair if you can’t use them.

They should be able to adjust outward and they don’t. Waste of money waste of time. Do not purchase.

The kids love the chair, but the carpet doesn’t. The area underneath the chair where it rotates sends a black staining substance onto the carpet. Not just a little. And not just for the first few days or weeks.

It’s still making a mess months into the use of the chair. At this point the carpet is ruined and it’s now our designated area for the chair.

A very nice floor chair. I have tried it in a couple of positions, the one back seems most comfortable. We actually bought this for my daughter who so far prefers sitting on the floor. But I think she may eventually try this out and enjoy it.

If you’re looking for a low chair or lounger this is it!!! Comes with a roll cushion for your back, which makes it pretty comfy!!! I purchased it for our grandson to play his games, and I would purchase this again.

Website was good and shipped fast. The chair on the other hand sucked and although I loved it for the first 2 days on day 3 it snapped. I welded it back together but now it’s not adjustable. The locking devices are made of plastic and break very easily.

There’s one with arms and a fold out seat that is far better for $120. I can’t remember the name but I’d strongly recommend it before you buy this one. If it matters im 6’2 170 lbs.

I got this product less than 2 months, now its no longer working. The locking mechanism in the chair does not work. It always goes straight like a bed. For the price I paid it should work more than 2months or longer than that.

If the material they used was a premium quality, but its not. I opened the zipper to see how it is made of, you could tell right away it is not done professionally. Im very disappointed.

Cheap looking, fabric loose and poorly made. Hoped to use for movie watching but stiff and sore after 2 hours in chair. Not worth the price

I’ve tried other floor chairs and there was always something not quite right with them. This is SIMPLE, with just what I wanted out of a floor chair and nothing more. The back stays firmly in place, the seat is wide and cushy, and the whole thing folds up neatly for storage.

Just what I wanted in a floor chair.

I am 73 years old. While I am active and practice Pilates 3x a week, this chair is not easily used for me. I plan to donate it. I had the perfect meditation chair for and during travel left it behind.

Bright colored, nicely padded, and I like that it has a smaller profile so it’s easier to lug in and out of the stands. Nice strap for carrying on your shoulder. The hinge is a little stiff but that just means that when you fold it back down, it stays down for transport and storage.

Bought this for my 13 year old teenage son to use while playing xbox. It survived 4 months. Last night I took the bottom swivel off to assess the problem and one of the bottom steel braces had snapped where the bolt was.

the rest of the chair still works fine. As a much older. uh 50 adult, I find the chair back uncomfortable but he likes it and how it adjusts. He likes the swivel as well. We both agree it is too low to the ground.

I think if it was 6″ higher it would be much better. It was very easy to setup. The fabric is as good as new after 4 months of constant teenager use. The bottom cushion is thickly padded. I used it for a couple hours over the course of a few days and it helped if I used a thin pillow at the base of my back.

I don’t know if I would recommend this as a gaming chair. The failure in the bottom frame could have been a fluke. I will not be replacing it with another one. I think we will go with one of the curved gaming chairs that are simpler and less to stress under the wild gaming sessions of a teenager.

The chair is nice overall, no assembly is a win for those who do not want to be bothered to do it. The swivel feature is very good also, and its light-weight so that you can move it around without any problems.

I have read the reviews and have taken note of the reclining issue but decided to purchase anyway along with the protection plan. The chair has a weight capacity of over 250 lbs so it should be durable enough for me.

I am 118 pounds, and about 5’3. Although when you sit in it, and start to use the reclining adjustment feature you can tell and or feel where part of the chair other customers are complaining about it reclining and not coming back up.

For some, it may not be durable enough for it to be your “main” chair. But it really still is a good product! Just purchase the protection plan to save yourself the headache later. Just in case.

I bought this for my daughter to uae while gaming, however it did not work for her. The lift at the front of the chair below the thighs was elevated just a bit too much and would cause her sciatica to cause her pain.

However that is a personal issue, the chair is is very good quality, but not too heavy to move. The materials were good, and the chair is comfortable, just not a good fit for my daughter. She is 5’4″ and weighs 136.

She does have ongoing sciatica issues, she needs a flatter shape seat area. So my review is on the chair itself. This chair also swivels and you can adjust the upright position. Overall it is a very good and comfortable chair.

I have been looking for something like this chair for a very long time, was actually thinking of building my own, but it isn’t easy, Finally found this and we love it. Feels good to sit in it and watch the TV, or just unfold it to take a nap.

Some people are complaining about the small size, not me, I’m a big guy, 6′, and I can use it without any problems whatsoever. My wife loves it as well, we bought 2 of them, white and red, she loves the red color in general, but uses the white chair mostly, it really looks good.

I got it for Christmas, so they haven’t been here long enough to know how well they will work and last, but I have high hopes for it. I see that we can wash the covers, big bonus there for keeping it clean.

Overall we love it, can’t understand some of the complaints about the size! Based on the reviews that I only read after ordering, I have actually tried to cancel the order very soon after placing it.

Ratchet that controls the back angle seems flimsy. Sitting comfort is reasonably good for a small-to-average framed individual, but I question its durability. OK for $80, but not worth more.

I first purchased one of these for my younger daughter to use in her “hideout” under her loft bed but my teenager kept stealing it to use on her bed when playing video games and ended up talking the youngest in to letting her take it to college with her so I bought two more for Christmas and now everyone is happy! They hold up very well even with everyday use.

They can lay flat which makes a nice nap spot for little ones (and our dog when no one is watching) or adjust to nearly any angle of recline. My kids absolutely love them.

Bought this for my 8yo, and she loves it. She says, “it’s very comfortable”. It’s pretty easy to move it from one room to another; when it’s flat, moving it through narrow doorways is a breeze. I guess my only complaints are that it can only be used on the floor, and that the reclining feature seems to have a hair trigger/it reclines with the softest of touches.

I wish there was some type of stand or base to turn it into a real reclining chair instead of always being on the floor, and maybe a locking feature to maintain the desired recline/seat back adjustment.

I must say I really like this lounger. You can fold to sit on it with a low or high back and you can adjust the tilt to it when lounging. It has a metal type bar inside to make the adjustments to the angle.

I just wish it would fold into a square for storage. If it does, I haven’t figured it out yet. It stays in a chair type position. I also think fabric handles on the sides would make it easier to carry and move.

I will surely get a lot of use out of this and i would highly recommend to someone that doesn’t want to keep moving heavy furniture around, like for College, etc. Kids will love this chair/lounger.

My 15 year old son loves this chair! The back of the chair is tall enough to rest your head. It has lots of cushion. The recliner works like a lounge chair clicking in to place and has several positions.

It is sturdy, but still light weight so it is easy to move. The chair swivels 360 degrees. The fabric is easy to wipe off. Definitely worth the money!!!.

Very comfortable and easy to move and store. It is not very heavy but it pretty low so it’s difficult for me to get up from but my kids have no problem. The chair did rip after only about 6 months but it’s been used a lot.

Chair is over priced. I wouldn’t consider this a gaming chair. I expected it to be more contoured for comfort. I use it to play with my grand son. Easier than sitting flat on the floor.

You keep spamming my email with this , so. hope you can take it. First thing that got me was the fact that three different prices appeared during the process, in which I just so happen to get the highest tier of cost (which was well over a 100$).

Second, The image displaying this piece shows a suspended back, this is HARDLY that. Third, the amount of bean filling is a joke compared to what is shown. You should have shown the actual bag with the amount of bean innards default.

This thing hardly does. anything. Very disappointed and feel somewhat cheated. There. hows that.

The chair arrived right on time. There were no problems with that, but when I opened the box, the chair wasn’t wrapped in plastic or anything. It was thrown in a box with no protection whatever. The chair itself was very flimsy and felt like it had almost half the filling it should have.

I sat on it and felt like I was on the floor. There was hardly any back support. Worst of all, it was supposed to be a gift for my teenager.

I am usually always on the floor gaming or playing guitar. What I really enjoy is I can still very comfortably and stay warmer sitting on the Roma since it is winter. Takes me back 50 years ago with my original first bean bag chair.

Now to reply to the second email I received. Shortly after buying the Roma, I purchased the media lounger which is absolutely fantastic and feels like being on a cloud. Occasionally I have gotten so relaxed that I simply fell asleep.

I bought this for my kids’ gaming lounge area. It is perfect for them! Naps have been taken on it. It’s a good length and comfort level even for my 6′ 2″ brother! I am so glad we bought it! If it had a little more “meat” to it and “heft” it wouldn’t be as tippy, even if it is sitting the right way.

This is why American companies die. They over priced like this when it can easily make or copy. Then complain that there is no jobs in USA. You can only focus on a very small market. It’s not a need.

Like Clothing brand name such as LV etc. You can find tuns of same for fractions of price. Even Trump would invest better for that price. And not everyone go for that look. You have thousands of options out there and much more comfortable.

Who is right mind would put 5k for that. The manufacturer is stupid or just outrageous insulting buyers intelligent 😂.

There’s not much I can add that hasn’t already been said. I’ve long admired the Eames Chair & Ottoman, but didn’t feel I could spend so much on a chair. With the pandemic and all the time we are spending at home, plus the Herman Miller sale, I decided to take the plunge.

Due to the pandemic, delivery took almost four months (custom order), but it was worth the wait. My kids try to take my seat, but they know the rule is Mom always gets first dibs. One thing I may be able to add some insight on is the choice of finishes and leathers/fabrics as that was the most confusing part for me – it was hard to choose with so many choices and wanting a good balance of quality and price.

Smart Furniture was the only place I found the full suite of options. Not even the Herman Miller site has all the choices, which I found surprising. I kept seeing references to “”Dream Cow”” and “”Royal Hide””, but couldn’t find them anywhere until looking at Smart Furniture.

Smart Furniture was amazing about samples and sent me all the wood finishes, plus probably over a dozen fabric/leather samples. It came down to Dream Cow and Royal Hide – ultimately, I decided to go with Royal Hide because I want this chair to last.

I went with the classic Black and Walnut combination, but with the Royal Hide and Oiled Walnut upgrades. Like I said, no regrets – it’s so comfortable and I anticipate MANY years of enjoyment. My kids are already offering to take it off my hands some day.

Told them I’ll leave it to the kid who is nicest to me. 🙂 If you can afford it, I highly recommend this chair and ottoman!.

I chose the Oiled Santos Palisander and the black Royal Hide leather for this chair, and I’m blown away at how much nicer it is over the standard options. The oiled wood is dark and rich, and the leather is super thick and supple.

My first chair, directly from Herman Miller, was standard walnut and MCL leather, and the upgrades on my new chair make the first one feel like a knockoff. There isn’t enough space here to write everything I want to say, but just know that I highly recommend that you get an oiled finish (either palisander or walnut) and Royal Hide leather.

It feels like a handmade masterpiece instead of a regular old piece of furniture. I can’t say enough good things about the Royal Hide. I found it difficult to choose between all the leather options, but Customer Support steered me in the right direction based on my wants.

The difference between Royal Hide and MCL is night and day in terms of thickness, feel, and quality. – MCL leather is top grain, semi-aniline leather, and has a thin top paint coating. It’s cheaper, but it will flake over the years and break down with regular use.

You will need to replace the cushions if you choose this or the standard contact-grade leather option. – Royal Hide is full-grain, full-aniline dyed leather. It’s thick, plush, and is heirloom-quality; you will never need to replace the cushions with regular use.

I couldn’t believe how much more comfortable RH is over the MCL option. Royal Hide also has a very thin and invisible stain-protectant – Oiled Palisander requires you to wipe down the wood a couple of times a year with boiled linseed oil.

This is extremely easy to do, and the wood will last longer and look better than a polyurethane finish over the years. – The oiled wood variants are much darker and richer than their non-oiled counterparts.

Applying oil over the years will significantly darken the wood and pop the grain even more, so keep that in mind. For me, its a positive. I love my chair!.
