A flip out car stereo is a type of in-dash car stereo that “flips out” of the dash, usually at a 45-degree angle, to provide better visibility and usability. Flip out car stereos typically have a larger screen than traditional in-dash car stereos, making them ideal for use with GPS navigation and multimedia playback.
Many flip out car stereos also include built-in amplifiers and subwoofers for an enhanced audio experience.

I read all the reviews and did my research to make sure his radio was worth it and I must say I hated the radio in very way. First I will start with the usb. Usb would not or had a lot of trouble loading up my flash drive(32gb) I had about 3000 songs on it and most of the time it would not read the usb and when it did it would take ages to load up the next song! Next the Bluetooth, it sounded bad It definitely cheap, I would get a static humming nosie with any devices I used it was so bad Next iPod and iPhone features well there is none except for the Bluetooth The usb is not compatible with ipods or iphones which was a complete negative to me cause I keep my iPod in the car and only connect my Bluetooth to my phone.
Next up in line there was no tilt feature to the flip out screen so during the day it was hard just to see the screen. Next the sound quality was poor it was far from crisp! The only plus I would give it is the DVD player cause you don’t have to ground the park wire cause it doesn’t come with one.
From my experience I say save up a couple more dollars and buy a dual touch screen radio like I did. This review is coming from one very picky shopper. I did return this product and got one just like it just a different brand.

The hardware seems ok and once you download the manuals, it seems to work ok but dam, to save a few dollars, they certainly aren’t a user friendly company.
The deck does what I need it to do. The only problem I have is that you can’t adjust the tilt of the screen (like earlier Jensen models) so if there is a glare, you’re viewing ability of the screen is greatly reduced.
Also, Jensen mobile honored the warranty without giving me any problems after my screen went out. They replaced it and returned my deck in less than seven days.

Features works with Apple Car Play, Android Auto web link. Parking assistance. 24-Bit True color panel for smooth gradation and rich color.
yooooo this stereo is SO worth the money given that it comes with the backup camera and it’s the cheapest price i found online and in stock! I feel like one fancy beesh when I turn on my car every day.
And I’m pretty sure I could get my car insurance a bit lower now that I have a backup camera but not totally sure on that. Also I had a friend install it for me while I watched him so it was really educating to see exactly how the “professionals” at the audio shop screwed up my wiring making it much more complicated than it needed to be.
in fact they bipassed my factory harness when it was completely unnecessary and actually makes it more difficult for us to then bipass the bipass or undo it. Man I’m never gonna go to an audio shop again they’re straight up crooks for what is hardly a luxury item in this decade.
I have always used Pioneer stereos when swapping out the factory stereo in my vehicles. This stereo works well and can use Apple CarPlay. That was the main feature I wanted. The only issue I have is with the FM reception.
Channels that previously came in clear, now are not clear. However, if you get an fm station with a strong signal, then the benefit of HD radio shines the through.
I bought the avh2500nex a month ago and it has been working great. The install was very simple. I had it in and running within a couple hours. The touch screen is great, very responsive and clear. It has all the features I wanted including apple carplay and easy bluetooth setup.
The only thing I was hesitant about was the volume buttons rather than a knob, however they are very nice feeling buttons. I would happily buy it again.

USB Control for iPhone This Pioneer Receiver is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPhone for music and video via USB. Song, artist, time and album information are beautifully displayed on the touchscreen.
WVGA Touchscreen (Clear Resistive) With this clear resisitive WVGA touchscreen display, upgrade your ride and enjoy all the features this head unit has to offer.
Installation went pretty straightforward, fit like a glove once side plates were adjusted properly in my head unit (pioneer fh-720bt). Finish feels rubbery/tacky Would be better if they would include a template for cutting the dash.
Overall happy with it, since its the only dual din kit i could find for XJ.
This double din radio dash kit worked perfectly and enabled me to update my XJ to the 21st Century. Added a touch screen display radio with backup camera and it wouldnt have been possible without it.
Great and easy way to add a double din to your Jeep xj. Make sure to watch some instal videos first to see what needs cut out, which isnt hard at all. My son and I did this instal in no time. Theres a bit of a gap between the new trim piece and the climate control knobs thats why we gave it 4 stars, not a big deal for a 20yr old Jeep.

I just recently purchased a new Lincoln LS after totaling my previous LS a month prior. I knew I wanted to go with a double DIN touchscreen but I had a hard time choosing which one to pick. At first I was going to chose the Pioneer AVH 2800 because it was about $90 cheaper than the AVH 4800.
The change in interface between these 2 models is excellent, the AVH 4800 is as sleek as can be and almost looks stock. At first I was mad there was no USB hookup on the actual headunit itself and that my sound guy installed it in my glove box but now I love this, no excess iphone charger taking up space.
I had a 10 inch subwoofer in my previous LS with the premium sound package which featured 16 speakers in the car not including the sub. I had that with a single DIN Pioneer headunit I purchased about 4 years ago.
Now with this headunit and it’s amazingly customizable EQ settings, only 4 stock speakers and my sub this thing bumps way harder than in my old LS. The 7 inch screen also connects to the aftermarket Esky license pate bracket backup camera I had installed and the picture is excellent.
I bought this system thinking that it would not fit because it has a 7″ screen and was skeptical because some others indicated they had trouble. Well, I’m hear to tell you that you won’t have troubles with this Double Din 7″ system.
For the price it is FANTASTIC! Does just about everything and better than a factory system, and some. Love the fact that you can put up to three phones in BT mode all at once. I bought a $10 wire harness on Ebay, and also mounting kit for another $15 and I was set.
If you are thinking about this system do not hesitate to get it.
I love this receiver! It has an internal amp which provides great sound and decent bass. It has all the features I need, and I like the hidden cd/dvd slot behind the motorized screen. The controls are user friendly and you can trust the Pioneer name.
Description I recently added Apple CarPlay to my vehicle and I haven’t looked back. The interface seamlessly integrates my iPhone for phone use, navigation, and entertainment, while Siri ranks among the best co-pilots I’ve had, thanks to top-notch voice control.
You’ll find Apple CarPlay built into Pioneer’s MVH-2400NEX digital multimedia receiver, along with Android Auto , Bluetooth , and a host of sound-sculpting tools. Features: CarPlay Compatible – Android Auto Compatible – AppRadio Mode+ Compatible – Spotify, Works with Pandora, SiriusXM-Ready 2-DIN – Double Din – Digital multimedia receiver receiver with AM/FM tuner Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming 7″ LCD touchscreen – Multi-color illumination – Resolution WVGA (800 x 480) Customizable touchscreen interface.
works great sounds great and easy to use. got it on sale under $400. easy to install if you know how to read lol. I love that it has a hands free and works very well and very clear voice, and the usb is great for lots of music.
I have two phones synced to it mine and my sweetheart. we use I phones. no problems with them had the pioneer p6000 for 13 years then it died, it was a great unit this one has more to offer and we are happy with it.
This is the best hands down radio I ever had. 2wks in & I’m stil finding new things about. The Android Auto, A must have. The custom setting of each speaker blew me away now my music sounds crystal clear.
You will fall in love right away. NOTICE: go on YouTube for more detail bc manual kinda leaves u hanging & do not set u radio up under Network if u do you will only have front speakers/no rear. So read up on this radio 1st b4 installation since the color coded wires are now different than my old AVH-5600BHS.
I can sit here all day telling u about this radio that I love soo much. BTW: I received a AVH-2500NEX not 2400 which is a +.
I bought this unit for my wife’s car; she uses an Android phone. Installation went great. My iPhone 6s works perfectly with the unit and Apple CarPlay is amazing. But Android Auto won’t sync with my wife’s phone, even though it is a new phone with Android 8.
0. It just keeps saying “Please turn off the car and check your phone”. Well, thanks for that useless message. Not sure if it’s the phone’s fault or the radio’s, but I’m not happy. We tried every setting possible.
nothing. She is stuck with using Bluetooth, which is nice, but I paid good money for her to use the Android Auto features. which she can’t.

Purchased two weeks ago overall happy with the deck, clear concise easy to use screen good radio reception (my cars antenna is not great) installation was easy. Sound quality is good even through my OEM speakers in a ‘99 Subaru.
The handsfree calling system is easy to use and sound quality is comparable to an OEM system in a modern car! The deck has one flaw you should be aware of: most people buy a Double din to use the DVD feature.
Most decks used to have a lime green wire you earth to the park brake (or body if you want to watch DVD when the vehicle is moving). Pioneer (I believe Clarion too) have gone to such unnecessary lengths to stop people using the DVD in motion that the deck detects park brake signal in an ON-OFF-ON manner.
The deck expects a 12v signal in that pattern to enable the DVD player. My Subaru (and maybe other cars) has a 5v signal on the park brake and no matter how I tried to trick the deck with 12V I couldn’t get the feature to work.
In summary I had to buy a module from Amazon ($32) and splice it in (very simple) to get the DVD function to work in my car. Overall good deck but i would advise buying an older unit that you can just earth the park brake cable if you want to use The DVD feature or budget for a DVD in motion module.
Just bought this radio. Described as a display model so has very small blemishes but overall great condition plus about a $60 savings over a new one. Bought a harness to attach this unit to my car and added an erapta rear camera and it’s all working good.
Still prefer a regular volume knob over volume buttons like this radio has but I’ll get used to it.
It was easy to install. Controls are easy to use. Bluetooth connection was easy to set up. Hard to hear other callers on Bluetooth unless the volume is all the way up but other wise a great buy. and dvds shoe well when playing.

Audio/video playback from USB and DVD sources and safety features such as back up camera ready and much more. The AVH-211EX features Bluetooth hands free profile 1. 6 including wideband Speech capability, which improves the sound quality of phone calls by offering double the frequency bandwidth (when compared to calls Without wideband Speech).
I will never buy another Pioneer product or deal with Crutchfield again based off both of their performance with this product. I paid extra to have the do the wiring harness. The head unit connected twice to bluetooth.
Never again. Neither Pioneer nor Crutchfield could solve the problem. Buyer beware! Both have lost a multi-time purchaser.
I have had this stereo back to the store several times because the screen is unreadable in my truck. They replaced the stereo the first time and rewired it the second. It is still not working
