Okay this is not a toy for a minor under 16 years of age, is true simulation of flying and controlling a radio controlled aircraft or helicopter etc! and just like in the real world there would be consequences if crash it breaks and will not work anymore or right/like it should!.

I have flown rc aircraft for 20years or more this simulation will help you understand how properly and safely fly an RC aircraft. key word is safely if you need some guidance on how to enjoy and safely fly an rc aircraft etc The academy of model aeronautics has many videos and books for new flyers on how to properly and safely, do real world r/c flying and enjoy this great hobby! happy flying everyone and may the skies be open and blue for you!.

This flight simulator for model radio controlled aeroplanes did not load up from the disks supplied but there was no great difficulty in downloading the programme from the web using the link provided.

Following the prompts given the set up was achieved. An up date on 9. 5 was offered and downloaded. This was all on lap Top with Windows 10 operating system. (A cable (not supplied) will link computer to large screen tv which works out well.

) The supplied controller feels solid and similar in size and bulk to RC Transmitters used with actual models.

The pro’s is it is a very good flight simulator program, It has a great controller and the aircraft have great graphics. The con’s I could not find anywhere in the literature on how to adjust the trim tabs to properly trim out the airplane.

I did not even find this information on the web and would like to see instructions and illustrations on how to work the four trim tabs to properly trim out the various airplanes as well as in how to save how each one of my choices is trimmed out.

Overall, 9/10 on design regarding its functionality as a joystick. Its biggest winner being the two mini sticks that are very ergonomically placed on the stick and throttle. 2/10 on durability; you should plan on some sort of issue arising withing the first month.

1) If I could give it five stars I would alas I cannot. 2 )First set the throttle lost all of is tension and wouldn’t stay up on its own in 2 weeks. Shortly thereafter the Yaw spring in the stick snapped.

3) second set the throttle just kinda. came off. after a week and a half. Afterwards I hooked up the stick to see its movement on TARGET and it was like ping pong. That being said. The design itself is outstanding and allows virtually unlimited possibility.

Put the throttle on the c stick on the throttle for all I care I’m not your dad. Enjoy!.

Recently picked these up with several friends, 5 of us total and a lot of star citizen hours. Overall it’s a decent unit. joystick tension is about average, enough to provide feedback, not too little that it feels like something you’d find in an arcade.

They sit on my desk pad and surprisingly stay stable. They come with suction cups for just a flat desk. Triggers are okay, buttons supply decent feedback. Really it’s a great starter set or for someone casually playing a flyer of some kind.

A solid Toyota Corolla/10 This was my one month review between friends, we’re all of the same mindset. Looking at upgrading probably within a year but got these to see if it’s something we’d care about.

Solid investment, especially since they were on sale for 100$.

The Logitech X52 is a fantastic mid-level HOTAS, at least from a hardware perspective. The joystick has minimal dead zone, and the array of buttons are (mostly) within easy reach for me (I’d say I have about average sized hands for a guy).

Everything feels very well put-together. However. The software is completely unintuitive for someone (like myself) who has never used a HOTAS before. Buttons are not labeled the same in the software as on the actual joystick, and they are often labeled differently in games than in the software.

This all assumes that you even manage to download the software. As of when I received my HOTAS, Logitech’s website only provided 32-bit software downloads, which refuse to install on 64-bit systems. I ended up having to find the download from a 3rd party site (same version #, just a 64-bit binary).

This side of the process could really be streamlined a lot. Overall, I’m thoroughly enjoying this HOTAS, though. It’s a dream in MS Flight Sim 2020, and good fun in Star Wars Squadrons. I’m looking forward to trying it in Elite: Dangerous soon.

I purchased the sim for the VR aspects. It falls short of other VR sim programs. The picture is very blurred using oculus rift. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade real flight.

So many airplanes and helicopters to fly… or try… So many different fields to choose from. Learning teaching scenarios. Training classes. I’ve only just begun…

They said this is as real as it gets and that is so true. When you open the learn how to fly you are actually with a flight instructor who will teach you several things about the craft you are flying.

The instructor will fly the craft and explain things to you then at the proper time turn the controls over to you. Very exciting and loads of fun.

While this game is a few years old, you can not beat the value it still offers for the price. If you are interested in flying at all then this is a must have game. I really don’t want to call it a game, it is really more like flying instructions at a fraction of the cost you would pay for the real lessons.

Graphics are great, many, many airports to choose from, plus many different aircraft. For $10 bucks you can’t go wrong.

This exciting simulator enthrals me for hours. I can actually pilot a choice of realistic aircraft (fly in real time) to airports in any country of the world! FSX has a feature to record and re-play the last minutes of my flights (including landings) from many different camera angles.

Sometimes, when flying I keep open a map-window that shows the location my plane (in real-time) in relation to the ground. While I am ‘sitting’ in the cockpit, FSX also allows me to change my eye-point and move the direction of view from left to right and up or down, simply by operating the directional, hat-switch or button (on joystick) during flight.

This allows me to ‘look’ out of the cockpit window at nearby airports and landmarks as they pass by underneath. The huge range of free, add-on aircraft and scenery for FSX makes this flight simulator the best value for my Windows 10 computer, compared with all other flight simulators.

This is still true even when other Flight Sims have better graphics and resolution than FSX. Also, I have bought and installed various ORBX airports to make the buildings and scenery of those airports more realistic than the default ones on FSX.

I have also purchased some, excellent extra aeroplanes made by JustFlight. Also, I have downloaded many extra (free) aeroplanesfrom fly-away-simulation web site. their range of free add-ons for FSX Flight Simulator is enormous! Given that it is a 2008 version of Microsofts Flight Simulator, the FSX Gold edition has enormous computer-speed benefits compared with the regular, FSX Deluxe version.

I recommend that for modern computers (10 years old and later), that it is much better to install the updated, FSX ‘Gold’ version rather than the regular, ‘Deluxe’ version, because of the massive improvements.

The Gold version does not just include extra features and enhancements, but it is actually Microsofts official update that includes service packs that fix various software-bugs and design flaws that existed in the older, deluxe version.

The flight simulator it said will be working on multiple platforms. I tried W10 and XP. W10. It is working however from the begining you will have a feeling that not all functions works. And it is true.

Struggle to find how to start the game and throughout the game some features not accessible. However once installed on XP which I bought on eBay refurbished just for gaming, works well. Only changes are views through the windows.

Missing the view from position as your head and yourself would be seating on the pilot seat. You get very narrow picture on screen. So you constantly manipulating with controls to get view on something which in normal flight you would have.

So once you took off you would not be concentrated on only dashboard separately or on windows but you should get both. In simulator it seems like you not given that flexibility. Although in W10 this option seems better.

XP gives you feeling like you short sited. Controls are a discovery. Probably as in all games. I do not paly much so may be is normal. But many functions you have to find before take off. Confusing that it depend on the plane you select.

But I think the whole simulator is a game and for some probably that is the most interesting part. My expectations as I have gliding experience were more concentrated on flight rather than looking for buttons functions to discover.

Again something with tutorials not right. Not user friendly at all. No arrows pointing to the right functions if you struggle. And explanations where the exercise start and how to return not really there.

So all in all – it is a game. Do not regret buying.

FSX needs a fast CPU, it’s a 32bit program (old) and it won’t allow full use of CPUs cores and high RAM. Graphics are decent. For better graphics, don’t waste time and money with free add ons. Just get ORBX global and ORBX Vector and you’ll be set with a new better looking simulator.

A 5i or higher will do decent, but will never allow highest settings without serious FPS drop. ORBX has much better landclass, better scenery buildings, trees, etc. Accelerator version needs better computer hardware, do it’s not for everyone.

FSX is not like a regular computer game where you go walk, drive or fly in a set world or area. And that makes it CPU, RAM, and Graphics Card with more than 1GB memory intensive. With flying peripherals, it taxes your computer more.

Nevertheless, it’s worth it. FSX20 us coming out. Check it out.

This is a great game or simulator, I was addicted many years ago and I still like it. The downside is the company who sells or ‘operates’ the software now. As you may know already Microsoft abandoned this program a few years ago and it seems like Steam bought it and fix it so it could run in Windows 10.

I do have Windows 10 and it did run with out any problems, even when I rearely have time to play so I haven’t tested more than a few minutes at a time. The part I really don’t like is Steam, they force you to install their software, which seems very untrustworty.

Once installed it will run by itself everytime you open ANY web browser. I really don’t like that, as I have no idea why they need that program running when I am not running the Flight Simulator. I do not like programs that try to take over my computer or my Internet, and the whole process seems just shady practices.

Personally I stop Steam everytime it tries to run as I highly distrust this company. To me is like I hire a landscaper to do my yard and they do it for a low fee with the condition that a shady handy man will syat day and night seating on my porch.

This isn’t a game in the usual sense. It’s a simulation. So unless you are really into flying, in a realistic manner, it would probably be boring to you. On the other hand, it’s amazing to be able to fly out of an airport near your hometown, and fly over geography that you know.

You can even plug in rudder pedals and make all kinds of adjustments to add to the realism. It’s 10-15 years old, so various landmarks may not be up to date, but it works well with Windows 10, especially if you have an i7 computer, and even better if you have a graphics card.

I don’t have a graphics card myself, but the action is quite satisfactory to me. I know there are open source products out there, but it’s hard to beat this one for plug and play.

I used to have this product on my old computer, but when I got a new computer I could no longer install my old program, since it only lets you use it on one computer, which is why I bought this new unsealed version.

My new computer installed it on drive C which had very little space left, so I could not put any of my add ons for it since it told me I did not have enough space. I tried installing it to drive D which still had plenty of space but it gave me error messages, so I am still without the program.

I need to take my new computer in since things are not backing up into my external hard drive also. Program is great since I’ve had it for years. It’s my new gaming computer which is having problems.

I just wanted to play flight simulator, but the new version has this whole Steam login, online, do stuff over internet thing to it. That’s great if I’m playing other Steam games, but I’m not, so it was just more bloat and internet connectivity I didn’t need.

I went back to an older version of Flight Simulator – problem solved. Works fine on my Windows 7 machine (I haven’t made the jump to Win10 yet).

I am using the flight simulator a lot with several friend all over the world. It is too bad Microsoft stopped with the support for this product. Many people are using this program for pleasure. To install this expansion pack gives most users a problem to install.

I had a previous version of this program and found this newer version and ordered it. It arrived VERY quickly and was everything I had hoped for. The price was really low. The program has wonderful sounds and many features that I wanted.

All in all, it is a wonderful product and lots of fun.

Bought this recently when I discovered I needed it installed in order to use 3rd party add-ons. Wow, should have gotten this a long time ago. Have only tried a few of the additional aircraft/missions, but they are really good.

No issues with installation [Win7 Home Premium, 7th Gen Core i7]. Recommended.

My six year old son is all about airplanes, so this is excellent for him. He enjoys it allot. I spent some 14 hours and three days how ever trying to activate the product in order to use it. Microsoft tech support was helpfull and available and to there credit.

This was a challenge to get the application to work in windows 7. We are talking command prompts and switches as well as four uninstall and re install as well as allot of time online discerning the articles in Microsofts extensive online forums.

The activation process is what prevents me from giving FSX Acceleration an excellent five star rating. The simulator is excellent and all in all worth the expense and time spent installing the product.

I use this with my flight simulator to keep proficient on small single engine aircraft I fly VFR mostly and use this for navigation with sectional maps I don’t require a lot of instrumentation so the programmable features work well for my purpose.

It’s everything I need for my purpose. The yoke and pedals are well built and perform as desired. I would buy them again.

Ages ago, I’ve tried the flight simulator game with keyboard for controls. It made for a real frustrating experience. The amount of buttons needed for the control is overwhelming. Using this yoke takes a lot of frustration out.

Flying with this feels natural.

I have the CH Products FSY211U flight yoke. It seems to be a bit smoother and more stable than the older Virtual Pilot. The Virtual Pilot throttle would jump a bit and it wouldn’t quite stay on course for long periods of time.

So far, this newer FSY211U does much better.

X-Plane 9 Ultra is a great Flight Simulator, especially on the older Apple PowerMac G5 platform! I run it on a PowerMac G5 Dual 2. 0 GHz, with a Radeon 9800XT 256MB VRAM; everything works smooth and flawless.

A joystick is recommended for a better flight sim experience, The Flight Yoke from CH Products provides a superior Flight Training Experience! Though I have never tried it, the program supports advanced trainer/student interactivity and emergency practice setups; plus instrument training experience, and the chance to “Design” and “Test Fly” some classic and high performance planes.

This is the non-commercial version, and newer versions are even more incredible and realistic; but this is a very good simulation, very stable and smooth, and you will be nicely surprised at what vintage Mac hardware from 2004 can deliver! Happy Flying!.

Paid about $9 shipped, had to download the installer and updates, but runs good on my machine. Graphics are dated compared to the X-Plane 10 demo, but slightly better than FSX Steam. Seems to do a better job with the plane then FSS.

Running it with a MS Sidewinder joystick (no pedals) and I’m satisfied with the aircraft response. But I’ve been mainly flying a 172, so low demand. Former pilot, and what I enjoyed most about flying was the scenery from the air, and none of these are that good, but you can’t realistically expect real realism.

It’s a pretty good game. It is novel to have flocks of birds and deer crossing your runway. Water textures are amazing. The real earth mapping is nicely detailed. Some of the detail on airports is messed up- there are taxiway lights and/or windsocks in the middle of runways and water textures run up into the mountains making it look like HUGE waterfalls or liquid mountains.

I wish all aircraft had virtual cockpits. I can’t believe the Vans RV series of Aircraft aren’t even painted. Still, the realism in other areas is amazing. I like the game. I switched to an iMac because of the obvious problems inherent with PC’s, namely viruses and crashes.

I’m glad there is this game for my iMac.

This is the best version of the original ‘Flight Simulator’. While the graphics aren’t as state of the art as the current online version, it’s way better in that you can actually play it offline!, and, even better, (for those that are inclined, which is the reason I purchased this copy), is that it can be used in the software side of things for an actual flight sim! – (as in, the type that you can actually sit in!).

I was disappointed in that it would not run in Win 10 64 bit. I modified the execution file for Win 8, but still it would not let me register it. I had a Win 7 computer and it runs fine on it. Luckily I have a high end video card that does the graphics fine.

I also have an excellent joystick that has a throttle. Throttle is necessary.

Bought this since MicroCenter had this in stock in their store, along with the matching rudder pedals. The quality is quite good, being careful with yoke and pedals, should last several years. There are other yoke and pedal packages that may be higher quality, but also at higher cost.

I consider myself at the upper end of casual usage, and did not feel the need to spend more. Go to the Logitech site for the documentation for the *physical* set up of the yoke and pedals. For MS Flight Sim 2020, do NOT install any drivers for the yoke and pedals.

MS FS 2020 configures the yoke and pedals nearly perfectly. Just go into the MS FS 2020 config screen and fine tune to personal taste. For casual usage, this is a fine product that I do recommend.

The build quality is pretty cheap for the price. Though it has a steel rod for the yoke, it’s not really as smooth as i would expect, it’s a little grindy in a couple of places while pushing in. The yoke is wiggly , not fitted and restrained well in the housing.

The levers are worse, all plastic and quite ‘flexy’. There is no calibration option with this, so enjoy your drift. i guess. i spent several hours researching fixes on google an you tube, none worked.

I emailed their support and they pretty much said just get used to it. The fastening system is a plastic hand screw. it’s relatively stable, but again just feels cheap. Maybe i expect too much for 170 dollars, but this just isn’t worth it for the quality and performance.

Returned it after two days of trying to make it viable.

I purchased the Logitech Pro Yoke and Pedal bundle to replace the CH Products joystick, throttle and rudder pedals that I have been using for about 20 years. Besides being a long time sim pilot, I have been a licensed Private pilot for the past 18 years and own a Cessna 150.

My main complaint with the Logitech Pro Yoke and Pedals is with the way the Yoke and Pedals move and feel. The centering springs on both the Yoke and Pedals are just to stiff for my tastes. The flight controls on most real world aircraft don’t have centering springs, and I would prefer it if Logitech would either eliminate, or significantly reduce, the amount of tension of their centering springs.

It is pretty obvious that many other people agree with me on this, judging from the the number of YouTube videos I have seen about DIY modification to the Logitech Yoke, in particular.

Would be helpful if included a disclaimer: Does NOT work in Windows 10. (Had to dust-off an old laptop with Windows 7 to run. ) Not vendor’s fault, but a necessary warning to purchaser. Also, Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft.

I am happy to have found this version of Flight Simulator. Enjoy flying with it tremendously and love the scenery and choice of planes.

This simulator is amazing along with the interface. It took me a little while to get it set up( mainly because I’m not good with computers). Once it was going it is very realistic, it should be a good training tool.

Super impressed with this product! So glad I got this one….Top notch Heli and Quad trainer.

Fantastic product and great to use

Still not having enough time to tune it to fly more realistically. Overall it feels more like the Phoenix that feels robotic, which I got so used to and I used it for so many hours but it stopped working (not recognize the Tx anymore).

I also have AccuRC and it flies less robotic, more like physics but too bad it is very buggy as I only got it working for about several minutes and now it is replaced by NexT. Will update after tweaking it.

I originally got this to try the VR capabilities, I have to say it does work a lot better than the other simulators that I have tried with the 1st generation Oculus Quest. I haven’t tried fixed wing or multi-rotor aircraft, I’m mainly interested in using it as a helicopter simulator, so I can’t give any feedback on those.

If autorotation’s were a little bit more realistic I would give it 5 stars, but as of right now the rotors take way to long to spool down.

I expected a little bit more from this sim in accordance with the price. I now have 4 sims: RF7. 5 Phoenix 5. 5 Accu RC2 and Next CGM. The best for me is AccuRC. with it’s nice training process and reality.

Especially autorotation practice. Next CGM has a lot of models, very nice fields. That is great! But the flight itself looks computerized.
