20 Best Flea Spray For House (2023 Updated)

I wish I had tried this stuff first. After trying several other products to try and get a flea infestation under control, I finally gave in and bought a couple cans of the Raid Carpet and Room Spray.

I tried the regular Raid Flea Killer, which DID kill fleas, but not the source. Thi Carpet and Room spray was far more effective and kept the flea eggs from hatching in the house long enough for me to keep up with the flea life cycles.

I went and bought a couple extra cans just in case they came back later, but I haven’t had any further issues since. Had I used this in the first place I would have saved a LOT of money. The regular Flea Killer can be used on your dog, which probably helped control the situation and would be ideal for a few fleas before they get out of hand, but for the house, this Raid product is the best solution.

Definitely recommend.

So I purchased this product for a quick fix, it helped that it was on sale. The directions are more of a warning than a step by step list on how to use it. I’ve noticed my carpets aren’t swarming with as many fleas as it was when a roommate brought home a stray.

but I’m still unclear how much to spray per area on the carpet and this product doesn’t have any tips or comments on use. Like will it still work if I don’t spray every square inch? Should I move my couch and spray under there? Does it work with leather? Do I have to wash throw pillows after the vapors and smell wear off? I NEED DETAILS AND ANSWERS! Lol All in all I got a great discount on top of a sale and paid $11 so I can’t complain too much.

On the other hand the full retail price is about $30 give or take so it should work better than I’m seeing, I also don’t know if I’m even using enough.

I did not have a “Flea or Tick problem” in my home. I have however observed ticks crawling on the carpet where my dog was lying after having come back into our home from being outside in the spring and summer.

I generally mix my own chemical to spray inside. I found the SentryHome flea and Tick spray on the petco site at a reasonable cost, so I purchased a can to try. After spraying my carpet in several areas, and waiting approximately two (2) hours, I saw no signs of those pest.

There is a strong odor after spraying but that dissipates quickly. I would recommend this product if you have a household pet that is subject to attack by fleas and ticks.

I found out a that a dog was at my house and had lice. So I searched and found this. I spray on the dogs along with a bed that I can’t put in the dryer to heat and kill the lice. Never knew about dogs and lice.

Purchased 15 cans total to give to friends as well.

I used Bayer Advanced Home Pest Bed Bug & Flea Killer last month. It worked immediately!! We had a problem with fleas ( I have 9 furry pets). So far, it’s been wonderful no more fleas!! I will probably need more as the year goes on.

This item really worked for me. I used it under the sofa, on my puppy’s bedding, and all over my carpets because my puppy had flea infestation and they finally went away. Now I just medicate my puppy.

It absolutely works instantly. I am very please. The only bad thing is that it is pricey.

This does just what it says and then some. Takes care of more bug types than described. I spent $200 trying to get rid of fleas using various products keeping safety in mind. I used natural sprays, traps, diatomaceous earth, etc.

I have extreme sensitivity to chemicals especially pesticides and such. After reading the label on this product stating it is safe for pets and children once dried, I decided to try it. If I happened to get any spray on my skin I do have a temporary mild reaction, but no reaction at all when its dried.

To my delight it got rid of the fleas forever. I have never seen another and that was two years ago. To my surprise, it also got rid of spiders, centipedes, and such unwanted pests. I never allow myself to be without this product in my home now.

It does what it says it does and takes care of everything for about six months before you have to spray again. I live near the water so until I found this product bugs were definitely a problem here.

Now I would not consider it a problem, when they start to appear I use the spay and they all go away. I could have saved myself $200 if I tried this product first.

I don’t get it! Where are all these positive reviews coming from? (Many sure seem to be phrased similarly, don’t they?) But this product has not worked at all for controlling flea infestation in my home.

Treated specific trouble-areas repeatedly this past week to no effect. I’ve used similar products for years and thought I’d try this one for a change in aroma and possibly an increased longevity in results.

Followed directions to a ‘T’ and definitely sprayed a sufficient quantity. The product had zero-to-minimal effect on the fleas and the pungent odor was quite objectionable for my nasal passages. To top it off, the poorly designed pump spray trigger bites into your flesh so much from its sharp edges that it becomes painfully uncomfortable to use within just a few pumps from one’s index finger.

Sorry ‘Chewy’! – I will continue being a loyal customer and your customer service rep was aces in response to my complaint this morning, but I feel a responsibility to advise others that this particular remedy for flea control in the home is a flat out miss! Maybe it’s effective on ants or spiders, but the fleas here weren’t phased a bit by it.

100% I can see within an hour this repels fleas flys and mosquitos! Those pests do coke back but I just respray when they do. I can see how annoying these bugs are to be bothering my two dogs so really glad I got thr chance to try this out.

The bottle is definitely a generous amount and size! Easy to spray. My dogs don’t mind it what so ever however when I spray it and inhale it it makes my nose runny and hard to inhale not sure why but I would never spray this near Jr around children.

I apply a generous coat onto my dogs fur at times too. They don’t lick it or anything. Strong odor but NO a bad odor, smells similar to potent plant and natural, doesn’t smell bad though. I am planning to use this entire bottle as it does work.

Really happy overall with this product. I apply it also to their cage and blankets for extra precaution.

I received this product to try in my home. I have a Great Dane and live in a tick/mosquito dense area in NH. Our house borders the woods and water so we have a huge problem with ticks and bugs. I have used this product for several days around the house.

I spray the carpets, couches and the dogs bedding to reduce the ticks that he brings in. Since using this product I have seen a reduction of those nasty things crawling around. As an experiment I took a tick I found and sprayed it, it took about 30 seconds for it to die-so it does work! I also like I can use this product around the whole family and don’t need to worry.

It is cedar forward so I actually really enjoy the scent. Overall, a great product that I will continue to use Year-round especially during tick season!.

I ordered this ’cause I read and it said it was safe to use around animals. BUT when I got it it said to keep the animals out of the room ’til it dried. I would have been nice to know that BEFORE I ordered it.

There is NO way I can keep our cats out of the living room as seeing it doesn’t have a door on it. I can’ put something in the doorway ’cause or little one can jump over anything. So now I have wasted the money I spent on this and can’t use it.

I am very pleased with how this product worked. I just sprayed the rug and waited 15 minutes and vacuumed. Did apply a 2nd application on another day and vacuumed. It seems to have done the trick. Nice scent.

Purchased after I took in a kitten who had lice. Despite the vet saying I did not need to go too aggressively with sprays and such as the lice would die off on their own and are easy to treat, I still felt better using some sort of spray to help the process move a little faster in case they were to move into the carpet.

I used this to spray down the room the kitten was in prior to vacuuming. Made the room smell great and also helped with the room not smelling like a litter box. Just made the room feel so much more clean.

Although we don’t have any flea or bug problems, I liked it enough I added it to my auto ship and plan to use it in the high traffic cat areas.

Bought this because after about two weeks after giving my cats their petarmorplus, fleas have reappeared and are biting me mostly. I got it because clearly there are eggs and pupae all over the house that now need to be intercepted to stop the cycle.

The day I used this product I was bitten no less than 7 times, substantially more than any day prior, and even began to visibly see fleas crawling on me and the carpet. No clue how it has affected eggs/pupae/larvae but it very clearly is nothing but a pathetic sneeze in the direction of the adults.

Cant in good faith give only one star considering I have no idea how it affected the other life cycles, but it does not work as a repellant or killer to adult fleas, I had more success creating a DIY repellant with essential oils at home for at least making them less interested in me.

Might work as a preventative and for small infestations.

Someone at work recommended it. I have been using it ever since. This time we have an infestation outside; which, brings them inside by our pets. it’s taking longer, because we keep getting more fleas on the pets.

I spray it at night usually once a week throughout the house where it might be needed. That’s all it usually takes, but this time it’s not working, because the fleas are just going crazy outside. I need to use it more often or will have to bomb the house.

My house has become overrun with fleas, even after treating all of my pets with the monthly flea drops. I purchased this hoping to kill the eggs and larvae in/on the furniture and bedding. Following the instructions, I vacuumed the room to be treated and removed all my pet’s food/water dishes.

I sprayed everything down even under the furniture and cushions. I let it sit for a couple of hours before opening the windows and venting the room. When I came in to open the windows, I noticed dead fleas on the furniture.

*YAY* I have also not had them jumping on me since the treatment. I am hoping that the eggs and larvae were also killed. Only time will tell there. This product is easy to use and contains good instructions on use.

It is affordable and seems to work well. I would recommend it to anyone with a flea infestation or for someone trying to prevent one.

I love Siphotrol and have been a devotee of this home premise spray for years. If you want effective flea control in your home, this is the one to get. Easy to use, no tacky feel on carpeting and no odor just minutes after application.

I apply Siphotrol typically three times a year for long term flea control. Spring, summer and fall. Works great. Never had an infestation. Highly recommended!.

I’ve used Siphotrol Plus for years and it’s the only premise spray that works and works fast. We live in the woods with a lot of wildlife in the area and fleas and ticks will occasionally make an appearance.

Siphotrol Plus does the job. I wish Vet-Kem was still producing their flea/tick collars as they worked great as well.

Vet-Kem home spray is the BEST bug spray I have ever used and pet friendly. A friend recommended it since she and her Beagle had such success! I’m on auto-ship.

I bought FOUR cans of this Bob Martin “Clear” Household Flea Spray. I vacuumed the the entire house extremely thoroughly. Including the cracks and gaps in the sofas, under beds & behind furniture. I then liberally sprayed their stuff on all fabric surfaces, mats, rugs, edges of skirting, all over carpets etc.

I then let it dry. I waited a few hours then followed this up with another product I bought online called “Pest Expert Formula C. I then let they dry and applied the Wilko Flea Powder on areas where I could leave it for a while without vacuuming.

I have completely irradiated an entire house of all fleas and it has cost me about £50 in total.

I dont have any animals so not sure where the fleas came from, I was being eaten alive, especially around my feet and ankles, it was awful! Used this all over carpets, pulled out furniture to get under and behind.

I was still being bitten a little a couple of days later, (could have been paranoia!) so I thoroughly hoovered again, under and behind furniture, emptied and cleaned hoover. Sigh of relief job done.

If like me you have a cat who insists on bringing home his best friends (flea’s that is!) then this stuff is good for keeping them at bay. You’ll notice the difference after a few hours the lack of them trying to climb up your legs ECT.

Although as for a knock down spray it doesn’t seem to work that well. As a fly I tried it on seemed to be quite happy still flying around after I blasted it! So flea and crawling insects control fine.

Flying insects not so good but then I didn’t get it for that one. It is a good product. It must be as this is the second can of the stuff I’ve bought. Lol.

I live on open farm land and have this year had a visit by many fleas. I purchased foggier canisters that seem to do zero to get rid of these. This spray works well and seems to stay in the room overnight and works.

I spray around in Hallway on the Skirting board, and I still get more Dead woodlice in the morning!! i bought for fleas, Dustmite and Woodlice !! I may worked on Fleas but not woodlice!!
