20 Best Filter For Wildfire Smoke (2023 Updated)

I’m severely allergic to cigarette smoke and the effects of third-hand smoke [the tar and nicotine-burn ash and soot left behind]. Because I can’t control the people around me, I try to work with what I have- so when the unit needed new filters, I picked these up.

It turned out the unit I was buying for needed two, so I ordered a second one and picked it up the same day. Ordering online to pick up in the store was easy-peasy, and the overnight shift who so kindly got my order ready for me are much, much appreciated.

The smoker grabber version of theses filters works great but I cant say its much better than the regular ones. I had to pay a few extra dollars for the smoke grabber vs. the regular ones. don’t feel its really worth the extra money.

It does what it says but in my opinion, don’t notice much difference than the regular style. Service from Target. com was excellent! Fast delivery!.

They last a long time and get the job done. Ive been buying them for years and they get better each purchase

Prior to my purchase of 2 different sizes during early last summer I had to leave my home because “I” could smell smoke no matter which room I was in including the basement. I had the chimney totally sealed off, reinforced the windows with a product that ABSOLUTELY SEALED the windows.

After spending $2000. 00 on staying in hotel’s I couldn’t keep that up. I’m a Senior Citizen on a fixed income and I am just now getting the hotel bills paid off from my credit cards. When I purchased the Medify Air purifiers.

I cried with relief. I didn’t have to leave my home because of smoke in the neighborhood. The smoke was from neighbors grilling on fire pits, regular grills & burning leaves. All items that neighbors did safely.

I called the Fire Dept. asked them not to use siren’s. 3 Firemen came, when they came into my home I asked them if they smelled the smoke. They looked at each other and all of them said “No”. This was prior to my purchase.

I asked them to NOT go to the neighbors and ask them to not do what they have a right to do. Well, 1 of the 3 went to the backyard neighbors & explained my problem. Now, even though I have made it as clear as possible to them, they don’t use their fire pit.

I truly appreciate their consideration but as long as I know ahead of time I can turn the Medify Air Purifiers and they take care of the problem. there is NO PROBLEM! So, if you are considering to purchase any of these systems, with my personal I experience wouldn’t waste another minute trying to decide.

I love the Air Purifiers of Medify Air. We haven’t been sick since we have their products which is almost two years now. The only thing I dislike is their shipping policy of the filters. I thought they will be shipped to my house but it turned out that I had to go and pick them up at a local UPS store.

This was very inconvenient for me, because I am super busy and kept forgetting to go there and the filters were almost sent back to Medify Air. At the UPS store they told me that they did not deliver because Medify Air wanted me to sign the delivery.

Couldn’t I sign at my home? They could deliver the machines to house. Machines which cost way more that the filters! Please, Medify Air, change your deliver from UPS to my house! Thank you.

I use this purifier along with another just like it periodically in a second house we have in the mountains. I have a person turn it on the day before I arrive so it is not run continuously. We use the purifier only about 6-8 weeks a year so I do not change it out every 4-5 months.

I’ll change it out once a year. The filter seems to do a very good job of filtration along with the blue light purification. I am highly allergic to mold/mildew.

Love that the wood paneled front matches my other finishings and makes this unit look very sleek in my home. Also love the light indicators, which conveniently and accurately show how much & just how badly the air quality changes.

The light range goes: purple (worst) – red – orange – green – blue (best). I use my purifier nonstop in a 590sq. ft. studio condo that is on a shared HVAC vent system in a very large (300+ unit) building; I often find a lot of dust and debris from other units get blown into mine as a result.

So it took some time for the purifier light to turn from purple to green, and still has yet to hit blue, but I blame the building ventilation system and construction in my adjacent neighbor’s unit, and not my Alen purifier.

Here’s another reason why. Before using this, my cat was starting to get bad coughing attacks that seemed to get worse in the weeks after we moved in. I was also waking up unusually congested every morning and sometimes noticing this midday as well.

Since using this, even at times when the light indicator is orange (just ‘average’ quality), my cat is no longer coughing, and I can actually breathe when I wake up. I’m looking forward to finding out how our breathing will improve further once this purifier hits blue.

I should also note that, in such a small, open layout space, the purifier did seem pretty loud at purple and even red, but is mere white noise at orange, and I barely notice it at green. Can’t wait to (not) hear this at all once it hits blue.

Based on how much crud it has captured on the prefilter in the first month alone, this purifier is clearly doing its job. All in all, my household has experienced obvious improvements in air quality since getting this purifier and have no regrets about going with this model for our space!.

This thing (Alen 75i) is unbelievable. I originally bought this as my wife has struggled with allergies for years and now takes allergy shots and over-the-counter allergy medication too. It only takes about 20 minutes for you notice that breathing becomes so much easier and it feels as though your lungs are a lot clearer.

I noticed it almost immediately and could not believe that it made such a huge difference is so little time. My wife and I love the 75i. I got one for her home office and we have one in the master bedroom.

I even sent my parents one. They are old school skeptics and did not even open the box for the first two days even though I asked to just give it a 30-minute try. They immediately noticed a difference and love theirs.

I had a Blue Air purifier maybe a week before I read the Consumer Reports ratings. Once I read that CR scored the Alen 75i higher than the Blue Air I jumped online and ordered one. We were sold on the Blue Air because it too cleans the air however the Alen is so much quieter and it is a solid machine which seems as though it would last longer than the Blue Air.

Again, I’m not knocking the Blue air Purifier but we use that in the basement where we have our gym because it is louder. The Alen 75i looks gorgeous with the Graphite Cover and the Filters are substantial.

I got the annual automatic filter renewal too. We have Alen 75i purifiers in the office for my wife, the master bedroom, and the family room. This has truly been a blessing. My wife has significantly less allergy symptoms and it significantly improves the quality of your sleep.

She no longer snores at night. Lol.

My husband was told by his doctor to get a hepa air purifier for the bedroom to help with his allergies. We researched our options and decided on the BreatheSmart Flex for two reasons. A larger Alen air purifier was chosen the best unit by Consumer Reports for 2022 and we wanted to buy from a company whose main product was air purifiers not toaster ovens or coffee pots.

Our purifier arrived within a week of purchase. It was packaged with engineering precision (think Apple product. ) I love the way it looks and it was very easy to set up. We installed the filter and plugged it in.

The flex unit has 4 speeds. We leave it on 24/7 usually at speed 2 or 3. During the night we turn it to speed 1 and it is so quiet I have gotten out of bed to see if it is working. Does it work? My husband has been sleeping better, less sneezing and nose blowing.

But the real pollen season for our area is just getting started, so we are cautiously optimistic. I have noticed that the kitchen odors we sometimes smelled in our second floor bedroom are nonexistent.

Finally, I like the replacement filter subscription plan. We signed up when we registered our air purifier. It makes sense to use an Alen filter in our unit because it’s only going to work as well as the filter you use.

The cost of the MA-112 machine is very reasonable. To replace the filters every 4 months is very expensive. It is like buying the machine again every year. I don’t think they make the money on selling the machines but selling the filters.

I vacuum my filters every week with a HEPA filtered vacuum and do it outside, even with that it’s every 4 months. OUr whole house is only 1100 sq ft. The room that the machine is in is 500 sq ft. open floor plan, well within it’s rating.

I am going to start researching other options, which there are a ton of excellent quality machines out there. I’d rather pay more up front and less for the filters.

This is without a doubt the best air purifier on the market among comparable companies. We have a great Dane puppy, 100 lbs, that some family members were allergic to her dander (microscopic shredded skin particles) since we cranked up this air purifier in our 3,000 SF home, no dander present, all odors gone including dog, smoke, cooking, everything.

Twice our home cleaning crew has remarked how our inside dust has gone to almost none compared to heavy on all surfaces. My two children’s other allergies have been greatly reduced as well. Yes filters are a bit pricey but they are also working much better than standard HEPA filters I ran before.

We have 2 Labrador Retrievers. They like to be inside in the winter. Not so mush when it gets to 40 degrees outside. In the winter months, my wife and I were constantly sneezing, and blowing our noses due to the shedding and dander.

We were always using Alegra, and Flonaise. Since we got this Medify Air Purifer, we have no need for the OTC drugs. This thing is amazing. Well worth the cost.

This is a great addition to the purifier. Between kitchen odors, pets, or just in general it is nice to have the extra. This is a one pack which is fine, it was easy to follow the directions to Install.

I am not sure how long it will last but I hope awhile. So far it seems to be working, pulls odors out of the air when cooking and seems to help the air smell better. Gives better quality of air for us.

We’re using this Honeywell Air Purifier Filter for Pet Odor in our HPA5100 Air Purifier. It was super easy to add in to our 5100, and it’s working great. We have the purifier itself next to our cat litter box, and it’s like we don’t even have cats anymore.

We can’t smell the cats, even after they’re just used the box! So we’re very happy with this added filter and with how good it’s working. I’d definitely recommend.

I’ve been using this air filter for about a month and have been so happy with how much it has improved the air quality of my home. I placed the filter and accompanying machine next to my cat’s litter box, and immediately noticed that I can no longer smell any foul odors from the area.

There are lots of great reviews here. Most fail to speak about what the product does. This is an expensive fan in a box with an air quality meter. It goes on if the air quality is alarmed. It just blows the problematic air around and does ZERO filtering.

I have two Mila units in two small bedrooms. I also bought two expensive medical-grade Air Oasis air purifiers and filters. After seven months, my Mila filters looked precisely the same. After two months, my Air Oasis filters were filthy.

I live in Central Oregon. It’s dusty here. I tried the mid-range Mila filter and the most expensive ones. Same thing. The most costly filters are also sealed at the bottom. So, where is the air pulling? Here’s how I tested: I held a string on all sides of the Mila product.

Outside, bottom, etc. There is ZERO pulling of air from anywhere. It also does not pull air from the top and blows it directly simultaneously. Impossible. So with filters clean after a few months, zero difference in smell, and on Auto mode, a fan speed so slow it does not even blow a piece of paper off the top of the unit, you can be sure that it’s all complete nonsense.

There is no filtration and zero purification. So if you want to avoid paying over $1,000 for Air Oasis, which works and cannot afford Molokule (another nonsensical product with lots of false claims), and you like the cool look of the Mila, then buy it, and call it what it is.

A glorified box fan. But that’s it.

I live in an average-sized NYC apartment. In the master bedroom and my son’s room, we’ve been using Rabbit Air Minus A2 purifiers. The one in master bedroom has been active for over 10 years and while it’s worked well, it leaves a lot of dust on the surrounding walls and furniture because of a built-in ionizer that can’t be turned off.

We’ve been locked down over the past year due to COVID-19 restrictions and over the past month or so, my wife’s and son’s allergies have been acting up when we’re in the living room with one of the windows every so slightly open.

Our finances being what they are, I was hesitant to get another RabbitAir purifier but I was leaning heavily in that direction because I didn’t think I had a choice. THEN, I saw an ad for Mila in facebook feed.

I read everything I could on the Mila site and I was convinced it was the filter for us. The onboard sensors and the info they provide are pretty amazing! It is obviously above and beyond what the RabbitAir could tell us.

We’ve had it running in the living room for over two weeks now and it’s made a huge difference for my wife and son. The sneezing and coughing has basically stopped. There’s noticeably less dust accumulating on furniture.

We also know how ‘dirty’ the air in the hallway is as every time the front door is opened, Mila detects a spike in particulates. I like how there’s a big selection of filters to suit your particular needs.

We went with the Overreactor. Filter changes are much easier than with the RabbitAir. While I like the general design of the Mila unit. I do wish it was available in different colors. Furthermore, I think it would’ve been great if all the panels were removable/replaceable for cleaning purposes as well as aesthetics.

The ability to ‘skin’ Mila with other colors, perhaps even printed patterns/images would be fun, eg. Charlie Brown/Snoopy graphics wrapping all around the unit for a baby’s room. I also wish the master On/Off switch was in the front.

Our original Mila unit turned out to have a faulty presence sensor. I engaged the support team and they confirmed that the sensor was indeed faulty. I was shipped a new unit and was allowed to keep the faulty one running until the new one arrived.

That process was easy and painless. The great support, aesthetics, easy filter replacement and wonderful app are the reasons why we’ll be phasing out our two RabbitAirs for two Mila’s in the very near future.

So far the Mila has been a bit more than I expected in some areas and a bit lacking in others. For the purpose of this review, I have purchased 2 Milas and have them placed on opposite sides of my apartments.

One is in the open living space, and the other is placed in the master bedroom. Things I love about the Mila: 1. It’s a very smart air purifier. This is an underrated quality as you simply don’t find air prurifiers with the sheer amount of features as the Mila at this price point.

2. The app (once you figure it out) is informative and provides unparalleled control over the unit with a host of features to customize the unit to match your desired AQI, noise level, etc. 3. The unit is attractive and easily fits within a modern styled home.

It’s small enough to fit just about anywhere. 4. There is no assembly required other than filter changes. 5. The app and unit itself get constant updates and it is clear the company cares about the product and will continue to build upon it.

6. When I contact customer service, I get an extremely quick response and they have always answered my questions and solved my issues. Things I think can be improved: 1. The accuracy of the sensors is called into question sometimes.

While I trust the ratings regarding AQI as it matches the measurements on other apps, other sensor reading are dubious. For example, the temperature readings on both units do not match each other, nor do they match my thermostat in a relatively medium sized apartment (2 bed, ~1100 sq ft).

The leads me to doubt other readings such as humidity. 2. The app, while chock full of features and usability, does take some learning to take full advantage of. Some settings in the app need more clarity.

For example you select whether you live an apartment or house and select the amount of rooms. Directly below that are “Small, Medium, and Large” but I have no idea which to select because there is no square footage associated with each option.

Is it relative to the apartment/house selection? Is it meant to be correlated to the amount of rooms? Is it square footage based? I have no idea. I wish this were more clear. The rest of the settings are explained well enough, particularly the different settings and modes for what it’s worth.

3. This is less about the unit and more about the company: I wish there was some “my account” feature or something to manage things like filter subscriptions. At the time of my purchase, the filter I desired was out of stock, but that is reasonable due to manufacturing restrictions brought upon by COVID-19.

I believe this is a feature that will be implemented in the future. Overall, I got what I paid for and believe it will only get better from here with updates and developments coming. I’m happy with my purchase and trust the company to solve my few issues.

I purchased the MA-112 Air Purifier originally in July of 2021 from a third-party website. The unit was doing an excellent job of cleaning the air of small particulate matter in my home, but, unfortunately, it was making a high-pitched, squeaking sound during operation.

I notified MedifyAir customer support, the response time and performance of which I was extremely impressed with! Upon my provision of invoice from previous purchase and audio/video evidence of the problem, MedifyAir immediately replaced my unit with a new one free of charge! They didn’t even demand return of the originally purchased product.

The MA-112 runs smoothly, quietly and has done such a fine job of cleaning the air in my home, that my chronic cough of 5 years has almost entirely resolved since purchase of the machine! The MA-112 is an extremely sophisticated model! It has four different intensities/speeds of operation, an ionizer activation option, and a very accurate electronic indicator of need for filter replacement! It has been such a pleasure doing business with MedifyAir, and I will be returning to make arrangements for future filter replacements.

Bought this air purifier to help with car fumes and cigarette smoke from neighbors down below. Before this one we had FIVE air purifiers in our unit and they were $300 plus to purchase and the filters are $60 every 3 months.

They couldn’t keep up with the smells. We were at our wits end. Then I came across Medify and who would’ve have know it would turn out to be one of the best days of my entire life!!! My husband said do you think it’ll work and I said if it doesn’t…nothing will.

Delivery day came and I drug this behemoth up 3 flights of stairs step by step because I couldn’t wait to try it out. Within minutes it started working. Used all the features and we couldn’t be happier!! Not only did it clean the air in the living room, it did the kitchen, the bathroom and the bedroom and it just keeps amazing us every day! I have been able to turn off the other 5 air purifiers!! I was a little reluctant at first but I did it and I’ll never go back.

This is it, this is the one and only air purifier anyone should ever need. My place is 600 sq ft and this cleans and cleans and cleans! Even my cats don’t mind it. It isn’t loud like the others I’ve owned.

If you are looking at this model, then there is a reason, just buy it, don’t put it off, just do it, you will not regret it. This is the highlight purchase of 2022 and I doubt any other purchase this year will come close to the happiness this has brought us! Goodbye cigarettes…goodbye car fumes…goodbye pollen.

Unit arrived by UPS with yellow stickers on the box. My UPS driver is awesome and helped me move the box to where I would be unpacking it. Unit is double boxed and well packed in the inner box with styrofoam inserts to protect all 4 sides, bottom, and top.

I had previously ordered and received the MA-40 for a large bedroom and that unit looks like a baby next to the MA-112. This unit is very stylish with hidden wheels to make moving it easy. While it is large, its footprint is no bigger than a dinette chair so it really is not in the way despite placing it between 2 large rooms on our main floor.

The directions say to press tabs on the side covers to remove them. While there are tabs on the MA-40 filter cover, there are no tabs on the MA-112. I finally figured out to simply pull out the side cover from the top edge using my fingertips.

The side panels are held in place by magnetic clips on the inside of the covers. Very ingenious and they hold the side covers in very well giving a nice clean look on the outside. The pre-filter is already installed in the cover.

You just need to remove the plastic packing bag on the filter and reinstall with the charcoal side in and pull tab out. These dual filters are huge, heavy, and seal perfectly inside the housing. Hook the 2 bottom hinges into the corresponding openings and the top clicks gently into place with the magnetic inserts.

Unit started on the auto setting and quickly settled into an air quality indicator of blue lights a.

I still have my very first product since purchasing it in 1993. I just keep buying filters every 5 years since. It is still performing 100% in those 26 years. We see no dust flying in the air except if something dusty is disturbed.

We see the dust particles fly away and within seconds the air is clear again. This in 50 feet from where our air purifies is located. Bought all 3 of our daughter’s homes one each at the same time and they are still using theirs.

I purchased an Austin Air Healthmate Replacement Filter. It arrived fast and was easy to remove from the packaging. The directions were easy to follow and I was able to replace my old filter with the new one in under 5 minutes.

My air in the condo is fresh and the symptoms of my allergies are minimized!.

Received the delivery fine. The filter had a lil dent on it when I took out of the box. Didn’t know if it was purposeful or not. Otherwise installing the new filter was fine.

I bought this one in a combo package – worth every penny. You need to replace these bad boys from time to time to keep up the efficiency of the air purifying which is understandable and the manufacturer was totally honest about it, didn’t hide this fact as an additional hidden cost!.

It is pretty good at keeping the Apt from smelling like smoke. However, it attracts my cat’s hair!

Bought this as a downgrade option for my u450. Works great! To use, just discard the plastic cartridge from old filter and cut carbon filter to size using old filter. Place carbon filter in, then hepa filter, then outter dust filter from cartridge–good to go!.

I ordered the wrong product, which I did not realize until it arrived. Sylvane was GREAT about sending out the correct replacement quickly (it was my doing ordering the wrong part), the correct part was easy to install and makes our air purifier work wonderfully again! (I cannot believe the amount of dust and dander in our environment!).

I don’t know if I should give this 4 or 5 stars, because I really like the way it filters the air, but I can’t get my house warm enough on cold nights. In the summer, the Filtrete 1500 works well, since I don’t run the a/c too often and my home stays fairly cool, even on the hottest SC days.

The Filtrete 20×25 size is also a good, snug fit, unlike some brands that are slightly smaller. However, as soon as the evening temperatures begin to fall below 40, I find that even a new filter will restrict air flow so much that I need to stand on a ladder to feel any heat coming from the ceiling vents.

When I replaced it with a cheap fiberglass filter, the air flow greatly improved, but I also began to sneeze a lot and can see more dust on my furniture, so it’s a double-edged sword, so to speak. In summary, I recommend this filter if you can get enough air flow from your vents to warm your home without putting too much stress on your heating unit.

Works so well filtering that it gets itself badly clogged within a week. My AC is two years old and my house is obsessively cleaned daily, can’t imagine what would happen in a dusty home or to an older system.

The lack of airflow is quickly noticeable, it’ll start making a whistling sound and the unit struggles to cool the house. I worry it’ll break my AC if I don’t change the filter every 7-10 days. Expensive product to replace so often and create so much garbage but it does make a big difference in air quality.

If you’re willing to go through 3 a month then it’s worth it, I have a hard time justifying the purchase.

I have an older home with a newer furnace. I purchased 12 of these at the beginning of the calendar year, with plans to change them monthly to help with allergies. They work well but become filled and clogged with dust in under a month many times.

There is a noticeable change in the air quality and our allergy symptoms significantly increase when they are dirty so I have to change them a lot more than intended to keep the air in my home fresh.

I wish the product would be designed to last much longer to help with the cost and environmental impact of disposable items.

We live 2 doors down from a 4 lane main road AND tracks which carry 75 commuters and freights daily. I know we had considerable dirt from all the traffic, but didn’t realize how much until our ALEN filtered the air for the past year.

Additionally, we see cat hair building up on the pre-filter which we vacuum weekly. The filter is located in the living area near the kitchen, and had made me even more aware that we need a more efficient vent hood.

Each time I cook, I can see the light indicators changing color, indicating particles in the air, especially if frying or sauteing. After a short time, the filter’s lights indicate the air has been cycled sufficiently to remove the fine, oily cooking vapors.

We purchased the filter because of the pandemic, but its benefits for our health are far greater than I had expected. Even when there is no odor or visible haze in the air, the filter alerts us that there is an increase in air pollution of one sort or another, and in a short time removes the offending particles.

My husband’s allergies have been noticeably diminished since our ALEN arrived. He needs to take medication less often and use nasal rinses less often. Because he works in a dusty environment, coming home to cleaner air supply has improved his comfort considerably.

I am so glad we purchased this health-providing appliance.

I have both the Alen 45i and Flex units using this filter. I need these units with this filter in combination with daily medications to minimize the number of flare ups in my lungs. Since I began using this filter and these machines, I have experienced at least 50% fewer flare ups.

Both units are extremely quiet and effective when using this filter. Quiet enough to leave either running at full speed 24 hours a day without interrupting sleep, conversations, nor tv. The sound that is heard is best described as white noise (pleasant to the ear and masks out other sounds like refrigerators, furnaces, voices in another room, etc.

Every month or so, I notice a unit sounds a bit louder which is my clue to open the unit and clean off the pre filter of dust bunnies and pet hair. A couple of minutes using a hand vacuum and all is well again.

I have tried many other filtration units and filters before. Those prior units were always loud (competed with tv and prevented use while sleeping) and we’re difficult to clean. Filter replacement frequency is roughly 10-12 months for me.

Based upon another’s environment it maybe different. To put my replacement frequency into perspective for others, all prior filtration units and filters I have tried required replacement at 1-2 month intervals.

I bought this to replace the original filter in my air cleaner, which lasted over a year. I live in a studio apartment with neighbors who smoke on the balconies where it leaks around the doorway and window.

I put this next to the balcony door and it stops the smoke from wafting around my apartment. I’m also downwind of areas that have wildfires, and this cleaned up the air inside my apartment when it was visibly smoky outside.

However, I have not noticed the carbon filter cleaning food odors from the air as other reviewers claim. I’ve even tried moving it into the kitchen area of my studio to no avail. It doesn’t seem to do as well as opening the balcony door (when nobody’s smoking outside) and letting the bathroom fan draw outdoor air into the apartment.

(Obviously not an option during wildfires, but during the other 8-9 months of the year. ) That’s why I’m only giving it 4 stars.

First of all this is a great filter. We got this just around the time the California fires were raging and the air quality around us was poor for multiple weeks. The old filter was doing its job, but was getting old in the tooth, and once we put this in, inside the house you could barely feel anything.

So straight off the mark, this gets great scores for its main purpose. Now, what’s so smart about it – its supposed to tell you the outside air quality (presumably from a server off the internet), inside air quality and the life left on the filter.

I realize nowadays every dumb product has a smart version, some are innovative and give new life to the product, while others are tagged on features which you could do without or had your needs already met via other measures.

This definitely falls in the latter bucket. There is nothing wrong with the it, just that you don’t feel you are getting a lot out of the smart feature. Given my nagging, its not like they are pricing this at too high a price either, compared to a normal filter.

So, I say why not. The setup is pretty easy, and even if you are not obsessively checking your indoor air quality, it will atleast remind you automatically when to change your filter, given how much use it has gone through.

Which is great, because otherwise all you would go by is the number of months its been used. Now the app, is hopefully tracking not from the install date, but the exact number of hours the filter was in use.

Bought 2500 last month because of allergies. I Absolutely love love these filters! My house is older with a crawl space. I’ve noticed over the years more dust on the floors near the filter area. I didn’t think much about it till I installed these 2500 filters! (My name for the filters.

) Now I’m cleaning my wood floors once a week like a normal person. My sinuses are better, floors are better. This is a product that caught my eye and I never knew I needed.

These work as advertised. They make a huge difference to the air quality in my home while still allowing my furnace to circulate the air efficiently. Like all filters, they need to be changed every 2 to 3 months under heavy use.

I have no intentions of going back to low grade filters again.

My heat pump uses a 14×18 filter, which apparently is an unusual size. Kudos to Target for stocking it because that size is hard to find elsewhere. I’ve been completely satisfied with the filtration it provides, though I change it more like every month-and-a-half.

I did have a problem last winter after I bought an ultrasonic humidifier and placed it close to the air return for the heat pump. I found the filters getting clogged by the fine white dust the humidifier produces, and was having to replace the filter every week.

Very expensive. Obviously the problem was the humidifier not the filter but I mention it as a caution. Aside from that, I am happy to recommend this product.

The Filtrate Filter is excellent for curbing in – house pollutants and impurities. It has reduced allergic reactions effectively. Breathing us less congested. The air is clearer.

So, I have 2 of these MA-25s (and 2 MA-15s for that matter). I am loving my Medify Airs. I bought the first one in August of 2021 to replace the Biota Bots I had been using since 2018 due to allergies and other air-borne issues.

I saw these at my dentist office and thought I would give them a try. I love it so much and was going to save so much money on replacement filters that I decided to buy a second on in the 4th quarter of 2021.

I love it!! It is much smaller and covers more SF than the Biota Bot. The replacement filters are actually in stock and I love the auto refill option. They are nice and quite and the only issue I have had with it was a slight fan ticking sound.

I contacted the company with a video and they replaced the first one. Now the second one is starting to have that same noise, so maybe it is just something with the fan because I run them 24-7. They have been a life saver for me these past 2 months as I have been living in a temporary situation that is not ideal for my respirator issues or allergies.

and these bad boys are making it possible to survive. YAY FOR MEDIFYAIR!!.

Bought the MA-25 to use in an office. Started using this at home and ran it for about 20 hours over the course of a full year and then took it to my office for daily use (3 days per week x 8 hrs per day).

After about 2 months in the office it started making a loud squeaking/rattling noise which was coming from the fan. Contacted Medify support and they asked if I changed the filter yet. I told them no, as I had only used it for a couple hundred hours, and the manual says the filters are good for 2500 hours (and has an indicator light on the machine to alert you it is time to change it).

They told me if I didn’t change the filter every 3 months regardless of use it invalidates the warranty. I explained that I had only used it around 300 hours, but they said it didn’t matter. They even said if you don’t use the unit at all, you still have to change the filter (at $50 each time) every 3 months to keep the warranty! So keep in mind that this unit will cost you $200/year to run it which is obviously more than the cost of the unit.

I usve tried a few purifiers before getting this one (we actually have 2 now) and had been disappointed. We have 2 dogs, both who shed CONSTANTLY. It’s not always easy keeping up with the vacuuming so at times their dander is a bit out of control.

On top of this I have asthma and allergies. I didn’t realize how much the air purifier made a difference until I noticed my asthma was in a flare for a few days and then noticed the replace filter light was on! I turned the purifier off and waited for my new filters.

Changed them and the next day I was breathing so much better. I will never go without using this purifier. We even took it with us on vacation for the hotel room. I’m actually thinking of buying a smaller one.

As a concerned home owner surrounded by environmental toxins, such as epidemics, flu etc, including chemtrails (aerial spraying) over my home in Queensland, Australia, not withstanding standard dust, smoke etc, placing this over a simple air filter turns it into a Hepa Micro Filter.

You immediately feel it revitalises the air. I cannot recommend a better product.

This was my first time trying to purchase HVAC air filters online. I have a couple of commercial style air handlers in my home (the original owner was a builder) that use this 16x36x1 size filter, which I can’t find locally.

For years I have taken smaller filters and pieced them together. This takes a lot of time because you have to use a very heavy gauge scissor to cut through the aluminum grid in the filters. So when I decided to try buying this online, I thought I would save a lot of time getting the actual size.

Instead, it was kind of a mistake. First, the filters arrived in a box where something sharp fell on it. 2 filters were dented and punctured, so the seller immediately sent me 2 replacement filters. It wasn’t til I got the replacements that I tried installing them.

Unfortunately, I discovered that the Accumulair filter size was about 1/4″ too large in the 16″ dimension. When I have pieced together other filters, the 16″ dimension was no problem, so I feel that the Accumulair filters are a bit off, and the website warns you of this possibility.

So I ended up having to cut down these filters to get them into the air handlers. This was harder than my old way, because I had to cut all the way down the 36″ length, as opposed to just cutting a 16″x20″ filter in half.

oh well, live and learn. Terrific customer service though.

No store in my town sells that size of filter. Live in a apartment complex. They supply the filters but they are cheap. The ones I bought from you guys have a better merv rating and much better quality then what we are given.

They are a great filter and I would definitely buy from your company again.

We have 2 of these units in a 2500 sq/ft area and they have been working great. We hold workshops for staining wood and the odor is kept to a minimum. We run the units continuously on low speed and there have been no complaints about the stain smell being too strong during the workshop and when we come into the studio the next day after a workshop there is no noticeable stain odor.

There was a concern that the stain odor would permeate throughout the rest of the building but that has not been the case. During the workshop you cannot hear the units running. Been very happy with the performance of these units and would highly recommend them for similar situations.

The air purifier store was very helpful picking the correct units for my application and explaining how the units worked, provided great service delivering them to me and was the best price I found on the web.

I will definitely use them for all my air purifying needs.

Most importantly, you should calculate the cost of ALL of the replacement filters to know what you will pay EVERY YEAR for maintenance. My replacement VOCARB carbon canister (~$500) was supposed to last up to 2 years.

Mine only made it 6 months before I noticed strong paint-like odors coming from the unit. The replacement HEPA filter (~$115) also only lasted 6 months before needing replaced. An 8-pack of pre-filters cost me ~$118 and needs to be vacuumed regularly to last the expected 2-3 months.

At one point, I doubted the effectiveness of the unit for smoke removal so I held a cigarette near-by the purifier and the smoke rose to the ceiling away from the unit! A huge design flaw was putting the air intake hole at the BOTTOM of the unit.

Hot air (smoke) rises, so how is it supposed to capture hot gasses rising to the ceiling? **You can cut the maintenance costs down by purchasing replacement parts through 3rd party websites such as air-purifiers-america.

com Also, instead of re-buying the entire carbon canister, you can buy bulk charcoal and refill the canister yourself. However, my canister (40 lbs) would still cost me ~$460 to fill with bulk VOCARB.

My sister highly recommended the Air Purifier Store and this particular model. I had my kitchen painted recently and the fumes were very strong. I set up the unit about two to three weeks ago and I can’t smell the paint fumes.

I love that it’s portable and can be moved from room to room when needed. Right now I run it on low when I’m in the kitchen or watching TV. I run it on high overnight.
