20 Best Filling For Sofa Cushions (2023 Updated)

I removed feather inserts from four pillows I had purchased at one time and replaced them with these inserts. What a difference it made. My pillows are nice and soft and feathers don’t poke out through the fabric.

I use polyester FiberFill as a filtering agent for keeping my aquariums clean. The aquarium pump pumps the water through the fiberfill and it acts as a filter for the pump. Pump filters from aquarium stores are very expensive.

Very light and soft fiber to fill my pillow. I’m not and advanced pillow maker. It was my first pillow to refill. The fiber was wonderful. It was easy to use at the point I was happy with the softness of my pillow.

There is a tool added to the bag to help with filling.

This is good fiber fill and the price is very good. It is quite slippery though and not very dense. It does come with a stuffing tool (wood stick) that is helpful in tamping it down. I’m using it to make draft stoppers and with enough stuffing and tamping down it is thick and dense.

Everything I needed and more! So comfortable and worth every penny. Love it so much. My glider was so uncomfortable especially while breastfeeding. Took a chance and ordered this and to my surprise it works amazing.

Bought this to put in my couch cushions. 1 strip was enough to do the whole couch. Just cut into 3. One for each cushion. Fit perfectly! Was not sure about the thickness of the foam but apparently 1/2 inch was sufficient to make a big difference! My couch is 20 years old and now has some new life in it!.

This foam is the best I’ve ever used for seat cushions! The icing on the cake is that it’s made in the USA!!! When they say “dense foam” it really is dense. Nice quality which will most likely stay firm for years, not like others I’ve used.

Price and packaging were also amazing. Received product in time predicted it would arrive despite the hurricane. I would recommend this product to anyone doing a seat cushion replacement, or for new cushions.

In their product description, the measurements are “5” Height x 30″ Width x 96″ Length”. When you receive it, that’s exactly what it measures! Other companies skimp by a fraction of an inch hoping the consumer won’t notice.

This stuff is great. I had to make a back cushion for a wooden bench which came w a seat cushion. This foam is substantial. I used a bread knife to cut it. I marked the cut lines on both sides to make sure I was cutting evenly.

To maybe 5 minutes to cut the full length. Much better than I anticipated.

This is a very nice firm foam. I am reupholstering a set of kitchen chairs and this was an economical way to replace the foam on all 4 chairs. The foam came quickly and I opened the package immediately and allowed the foam to expand over the recommended two full days on a flat surface.

It cut easily with a serrated bread knife. Very pleased with this foam.

Came as advertised and delivered sooner than expected delivery date. It is actually 4 inches thick and actual high density foam. We used it for sofa/couch that had saggy and flat seat cushions and it worked great.

Probably should of got 3 inch for the seat cushions. Daughter said it feels like it did when originally got the couch/sofa!.

This is a great product to repair sagging cushions. The product is easy to cut to your desired size or shape and adheres well when used with a spray adhesive designed for upholstery. In my case the foam surrounding the coils in the cushion started to deteriorate.

I used this product (along with 1/2 inch foam) to build up the cushion so that both foil and coils were level. I was very happy with the outcome. The cushions are much firmer and supportive.

I purchased Fairfield Cushion Wrap when recovering some dining room chairs. It has worked very well. The only issue I had was if pulling too tightly it comes apart a bit – like a cotton ball would, just not as easily.

As soon as I learned how much pressure I could put on the produce it worked fine. All in all, I would buy it again.

In a stopgap measure to having our couch cushions re-stuffed we tried this cushion wrap. It works fairly well. It will work until we can plan for something a bit more permenant. It was a little bit pricey, but that’s pretty much everything right now.

I purchased 2x 10lb boxes of Poly-Fil hoping to revive an old sofa on my shoestring budget, and IT IS LIFE-CHANGING! My sofa is about 15 years old now, and as much as I’d love to ditch it and get something new, I just can’t afford to.

I thought a slip cover might be a good way to make it *look* better, but I knew that would do nothing to correct the sagging back cushions, compacted seat cushions, and overall lack of comfort. So after researching a bunch of somewhat affordable fixes, I decided to go the super-cheap and easy route, and I purchased two of these 10lb boxes of Poly-Fil.

My first priority was adding stuffing to the removable back cushions to make them more supportive. Then I would use some to fluff up the seat cushions. And then I’d fill out some almost flat throw pillows.

I knew I was probably purchasing way too much, but I’d rather have extra than not enough. And let me tell you, it was the PERFECT solution to my problem! First, I overstuffed the removable back cushions.

They were filled with loose poly to begin with, and they tended to lose shape and become pretty flattened after just one day of sitting on the sofa. So I crammed as much of this as I could fit in each of them, fought to get them zipped up again, and laid them across the back of the sofa.

And immediate, my sofa had its shape back! Then I hit the seat cushions. Those had a big foam block in them with some poly-fiber sheeting wrapped around it. I decided to take the lazy route, and just stuff a bunch of loose poly-fil in the side of the cushion that faces down, so it didn’t matter if it was a bit of a lumpy mess.

I really just needed it to fill the almost permanent dent from my rear end that the cushion showed. So that’s what I did, and now my seat cushions are all puffed up like they should be while staying flat on the top side.

Then I used some of what was left to add stuffing to two matching throw pillows that have been all but flattened over time. This part was annoying because I had to undo the seams to get to it, but it totally worked, I sewed them back shut, and I’m back in business.

When I was a kid, often sewing with my grandmother, we used Poly-fil from Walmart to fill pillows and stuffed animals that we made, and it always worked well. I’m so glad I thought to come back and order some for this bigger project because my sofa, though old and worn, is now a thousand times more comfortable than it’s been in ages.

It looks better, too, since the back cushions actually hold their shape and stay in place. Now I can finally get that slip-cover I’ve been eyeing! This is a great quality product for not a lot of money, and it goes really far.

It’s totally fixed my old sofa, and for the first time, I’m able to sit on it without developing a serious back ache!.

Wow, this has a LOT of stuffing! It’s well made and does not leave a lot of fiber-y mess when you stuff. Be prepared for an exciting moment when you first open the compressed plastic bag inside as it grows up and out like a gigantic mushroom! If you have kids, they’d LOVE to see it! If you don’t have an immediate use for a large volume of full, be prepared to store all of the expanded material in trash bags etc as the genie won’t be going back in the bottle! That said, it’s clean, dense, and has no odd odor.

Much more economical than buying smaller bags. This one box stuffed 8 (!) very large dog beds and 3 small dogs fully. I seven ran some through the washing machine inside small mesh stuff sacks successfully.

It did shrink or compress the fibers to some degree (no dryer). Overall I am more than pleased and will use again! I even ran.

I use this to fill my dogs’ mattresses. They’re rather large (dogs are labs), so it takes about 1 1/2 boxes to do two of them, but it’s well worth it. It’s hard to find a GOOD dog bed these days; one WITHOUT the ‘fake’ bottom made out of pressed fiber rather than real, woven material.

My dogs are inside/outside dogs and roll in the dirt regularly. I can’t wash them daily, so I wash the covers every three weeks, and they have inserts with the fiberfill in them. (each time I wash them, I spray the filled inserts with Febreze.

it helps, but doesn’t totally clean them). Since I find fiberfill clumps when you wash it, I would rather change it when it’s dirty, and this starts really stinking after awhile. The last change lasted about 2 years, so approx $45 between the two beds is much cheaper than buying two beds *if you can find GOOD beds*.

This fiberfill is better than other brands I’ve purchased. Others are harder to work with; they don’t ‘pack’ as well, so you ‘roll’ on them when you walk on the mattresses—almost falling, if you’re uncoordinated like me 😉 ; and, all in all, I just prefer this one the best.

Bought to accompany two cushion covers bought from yourselves. The overall effect is a touch of luxury. Very satisfied.

Actually, I sent these to some nuns to makes toys for poor children in their area. I haven’t heard anything negative and I am sure they put it to very good use. What I will tell you is that I live in another state–New Mexico and they live in Illinois.

I love that I can send such materials to them easily and at a great price. I usually send batting material for the quilts they make–also to help the poor, and they have always loved that. and rave about the quality (and quality).

Easy and inexpensive solution to saggy couch cushions. This foam enhanced and reinforced my couch. I bought it to insert into my two worn sleep sofa cushions. I measured carefully and cut the 72″ foam in half (w/electric knife) to create two inserts.

Unzipped each cushion cover and added the foam to the existing cushion to regain the original 4″ depth. What a difference.

This foam gave the height back to my sofa. it also brought back its comfortable feelings. DO NOT THROW OUT YOUR SOFA because of the cushion being worn out/sunk in. I recommend before you do that, to try this Heavy Firm foam product.

If it can satisfy me, and I throw everything out. You definitely will like it.

Shipping is slowww. Ordered on Dec. 16, supposed to deliver Dec. 29, wasn’t shipped until Dec. 30. Had to contact seller. So, if you don’t mind a long wait time, order it. The cushion itself is really good.

Came smashed in a box with the other size I bought. Wasn’t even wrapped in plastic. The ends were totally unusable. It’s no where near as firm as the sheets I’d previously purchased. Not at all happy.

The Flourish Spiral Cushion Fill is pretty neat to look at. It is boxed up in such a way that when opening, you can grab the top layer and watch the spiral unravel as you lift it. However, this packaging peanut and crinkle paper replacement is too much work for the lazy.

Shaking the spirals to fluff them out and then stuff info box. How much to shake out? How densely do I stuff the box? What about the package contents’ weight and durability? Would the spirals get crushed during movement/shipment? Someone (not me) is bound to complain about paper cuts.

(Even if you give them gloves. ) A major pro compared to the traditional packaging fillers would be that you don’t have to deal with a gazillion peanuts and their static. Great idea overall, just need to do a bunch of trial and errors first.
