20 Best Filler For Indented Scars (2023 Updated)

I got this in my Ipsy bag. I am a chemical exfoliant connoisseur, however, this is not one I would have picked out on my own. Something about this type of product being sold at grocery stores deters me.

I have to admit that I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love this. I opened my bag after returning from a short trip to Florida, so my skin was sun-kissed (not burnt-I wore SPF religiously) and it was tired from the traveling.

I used it that evening under some aloe vera gel and my regular moisturizer. I was half expecting for it to cause some irritation because of how tired my skin already was, but I woke up to incredibly happy skin! I was shocked.

My face was so soft and smooth, I had very minimal texture, and it even reduced some acne scarring-all after one use. This is definitely going to become a new vacation/summer essential for me. It’s potent enough to give my skin the refresh it needs, but gentle enough that it wont damage my skin barrier during/after traveling and sun exposure.

I’m so happy this was brought into my life.

I used this for stretch marks, which it’s not readily marketed for, so I didn’t expect major results, but I definitely am a happy customer now. At first I was worried because it made my saggy white stretch marks brighter and pink again.

However, when it did that it also made my skin more plump, so I trusted the process and kept using the product. The new redness of the marks subsided after about a week more of use, and I became very pleased with the end of container results.

After about a month straight of using it once a day (which is about how long the container lasted me), every day after my shower, my stretch marks are much thinner in width, and even though the marks are still pale, they are way closer to skin toned.

Areas of stretch marks I used it for: belly, inner thighs, booty, “love handles”, inner upper arms. I see the most drastic results in the booty (as in the stretch marks are basically INVISIBLE!), the belly and inner upper arms (which is where they’re thinner and more skin toned), with a moderate amount of change on the inner thighs (but still results nonetheless!), and the least progress on the “love handles.

” Will be buying again as needed!.

I have been using this for almost two months on an old surgery scar. I have recently noticed improvement in the edges/texture/and color. The changes are more noticeable in the spots that were flatter, there now are spots on the scar that are looking more like normal skin.

The raised parts seem to take longer to see a difference with. The jar says to use it for 3-6 months because it is an older scar. I hope to keep seeing improvement this slow and steady improvement is more noticeable than the silicon sheet, laser treatments, and injections that I have tried before.

The only downside I found is it takes a while to dry, due to the large size of scar that is covered by clothes I do not always have time to sit and wait for it to dry in the morning. Also for a large scar this bottle only last 2 weeks when used twice a day.

A larger bottle for larger scars would be nice especially since it takes a while to see results.

My surgeon recommended this silicone scar gel after breast surgery that left significant scarring (anchor scar from a breast lift (that’s around the entire areola, down from the areola to the breast crease, and under the breast,) so a pretty big scar) I’ve been using it consistently for 3 months and am really pleased with its performance.

I began using scar away gel 2 weeks after surgery, when I was able to take off my steristrips. The scars were originally a livid purple and raised because they were still very new in the healing process.

I apply morning and night. For the first 2 weeks or so, you could actually see the outline of the scar through my surgical recovery bra because it was fairly raised. After about 4 weeks of consistent use, my scars have completely flattened out, and you cannot detect them at all by feel.

They are also now just a dark pink rather than livid red-purple. That’s to be expected, they will eventually fade to white and be basically invisible. The only reason I have knocked off one star is because sometimes it’s hard to tell with the roller top if the product is dispensing.

So I roll it on and then stand under a light to see if it’s shiny. It dries fairly quickly and is unscented. I would much rather use this than scar sheets.

I had a hip replacement and started using the gel once the wound had healed. the surrounding skin and scab was very dry and the gel helped a lot with this. Once a I started swimming the chlorine would dry the scar tissue quite badly and the gel definitely helped with the itching and suppleness.

Overall there are areas which have pretty much healed completely and there’s no sign of a scar. Quite amazed with that. Some parts are still visible but they were the more “angry” areas of redness (where the stitches slightly parted) but they are considerably better than before and looking like it should disappear like the other areas.

I was initially applying the gel twice per day for about 3 weeks now once per day for 4-5 weeks. the 15g tube is still going. I thought it quite expensive at first but the results are positive and the tube has lasted quite a while.

£28 to reduce or so far completely remove the scarring was money well spent as the scar is on the front of my upper thigh. I ordered another tube as I will keep using it as it looks like it may well hide my scar.

Have been using Kelo-Cote scar gel for a month now, so it’s probably a bit early to really see any results. I’m using it on a fresh scar from ankle surgery about 3 weeks after I had the cast off. I have noticed some bits of the scar have disappeared slightly, however the red angry incision line is still quite prominent.

I will continue to use this for as long as this takes for the scar to look less visible. A little goes a long way in terms of application. Still got about half the tube left after applying twice a day.

It is a bit sticky after application but I guess that’s what you would want to know it’s providing a seal over your scar. Also used on some pimple scarring which has helped reduce the redness. Have attached a photo of how the scar looked day one before first application to today – 1 month later.

I’ve had deep pitted acne scars from adolescence that I’ve never been able to hide on both cheeks. I use great products for my overall skin health but nothing ever improves these and no foundation camouflages them.

This product is amazing. I read people say you have to keep using it because it’s not a permanent fix and I really don’t care! It does take time for full results and i imagine it would take more than a day or two of disuse for scars to return if they actually do.

This is a safe-at-home, effective product and really it’s not that pricey for the results you get. I think I’ve been using this most days, morning and night, for two weeks. The applicator is awesome as you can really control its use and not waste product.

One side of my face the pits are level with my skin (i. e. Gone) and the other side that had deeper pits is close to clear. Also the dark pigmentation is gone with it. At this point only I know where the scars would be because no one else can see them! Thanks Kate Somerville! When I run out I’ll buy it again! I finally found something that gets rid of the one thing I could never fix.

Since there’s lots of mixed reviews and concerns, this should help you decide. I had some recent acne and one that has the potential to leave a scar as it heals (dried up and no longer inflamed). I immediately put this on twice a day For the last week and any dents or redness is all gone.

In fact it’s getting hard to see where it was. same with my other ones. This usually doesn’t happen this fast as the discolouration can last months. Now the caveat to this is, I know that you have to use a good exfoliator before this and wash and hydrate your face first so that this product can penetrate easier.

I did not put makeup on right after. It really let it sit on for as long as possible and have even used it 3 times in a day but not everyday. Now as far as the roller ball on the head, I agree with the other reviewer this is not sanitary as dead skin cells dust and debris can get into the tube and neutralize the ingredients or make it go bad faster.

You actually do not need to roller ball to move to get the product out. All you do is gently squeeze the tube and you’ll see the cream come out around the roller ball. Take a freshly washed sanitized finger to wipe it off to then dab on the scar.

, rinse your finger, and repeat if needed. Turn the twist top over the arrow that says closed and the other way to open. This tells me the product inside is air sensitive with all these closing measures.

The silver cap needs to be pushed down harder till you hear a click indicating it’s air tight closed. With anything including skincare you have to use it for at least 2months to start seeing results.

Using since 1/21/21. Today is 4/17/21. On second tube and it’s helping. I do see a big difference from when I started BUT you do have to have a regimen of other products to get the better results. I did that with the help from an acne scar article I found.

Daily:Salicylic acid face wash. Aha toner. Dscar 2x daily. Retinol. Silicone scar sheet for a few hours a day inbetween product use. Exfoliating scrub 2-3 times a week. Once a week:vitamin c peel. Microneedling about every 2 weeks.

Adding all the extras in has made a big difference from how bad the scar was because it was decently big and deep to where I am now which is the missing skin is almost very close to being filled back in and very close to flush with my skin and closer to normal.

I waited this whole time before posting this review. Does this product work? I believe it has helped some but once I found that acne scar article and introduced the other products in and had a sort of system going is when it got so much better with time and patience and a lot closer back to normal.

I’m going to keep doing it my way and will soon be adding in the use of a neutrogena light therapy device because after looking into it the blue and red light therapy from that type of device also helps in reducing scarring.

And if what I’m left with is a much minor scar then I found the best thing to help conceal it is the nyx pore filler primer. Yes I found that in another great article and tried it already. I hope this review is helpful.

I got lotion burned and the healing cream the OTHER company gave me to heal with failed~ miserably! I then searched and this popped up. Any sort of scars basically said would heal. I use it every day, 2x daily! It’s still healing and I’m still on the same container and it’s only been 3ish months since using!.

I was soooooo self conscious of my neck! Hid my neck with my hair but now, not as embaressed, it’s almost fully healed. Have no idea if it’ll ever be normal again but it’s finally camouflaged with my skin.

I love this scar cream! I have a scar from surgery and i have been using this for the past few months and i see a big difference! I love this product because it is extremely easy to use and it just feels like sunscreen.

I went to the beach a few weeks ago and put sunscreen only on my scar just to see if the spf works, and it did!! I had a tan everywhere except for that area and it works great! I also see a visible fade, i would repurchase.

I have a small shingles patch above my eye. Daily use of this product has given me a noticeable lightning of the scar. It was once red and is now a dark pink with some areas a lighter pink. I am happy to see how well it is working so far.

Since sun is a natural enemy to scars I got the package with the sunscreen. It is well worth trying …. Recommend trying this product.

A few years ago I got into a bicycle accident that resulted in facial scarring. The scaring was significant, but after using this product, it is barely noticeable. I was genuinely surprised with how well it worked and how fast I could see improvement.

Very easy to rub in. I use it every now and then on my scar since I had my c section. It’s lightened it up a bit would recommend! 😋 along with these!! Omg I loved them you could place it over your cut reuse after a shower.

I had neck surgery and immediately started to use this product and it has helped tremendously. I now use solid silicone to continue the healing process and also have Mederma advanced 1x a day scar therapy.

It dries up fast at end of day is flaky but it protects your scar and that’s all that matters. I’ve been using Mederma on this scar for over two years.

This is a great product. When I purchased it the color wasn’t quite a match so I contacted customer service and they were great sent me the correct one I received it in 3 days no questions asked. The product was a little hard to figure out application at first but again customer service is on point and helped greatly.

I use this on scars from acne and it fills and conceals and lasts all day. This product can be used with their concealer trio which is also amazing. Product is a little pricey but well wort$ it!!! Thanks you dermaflage.

This product is great if you have a few small scars to fill in, I would not recommended it for a large area. You don’t need the primer, the texture pad or the tips. You cannot put foundation on top of it.

I put my foundation on first, then press a small amount of the tubes onto my hand. Mix them together quickly and dab into the hole. Blend as well as you can. Let dry for a minute or two and then lightly dust with pressed powder.

Will last me thru 8 hours of work but starts getting funky looking around evening and needs to be redone. Still worth it to me, and practice is needed.

if you have a scar and want to camuflage it this is a amazing product to buy. just if you buy it and go to aply dont go to crazy just a bit is alot to a scar aply fast not let it dry.

I can’t begin to tell you how I pleased I am with the RejuvaSil. I had Mohs surgery on my nose and then plastic surgery to my nose the next day. When the sutures were removed my doctor suggested a silicone scar gel.

I went on line and purchased your product. It arrived in a few days. I saw a definite improvement in my nose scar in about one week. I am still using the product until I return to see my surgeon but friends and family sat they can hardly see the scar.

The fact that it was on my face I was very concerned and somewhat embarrassed but I can honestly say that I am extremely impressed with the results since my scar is barely visible. Thank you for making such a wonderful product.

Silicone scar gel is amazing. I started out buying an over-the-counter scar gel, that did not agree with my skin and caused a rash. RejuvaSil Silicone scar gel was amazing on the skin! Goes on so smooth, dries perfectly.

No sticky feeling no residue left behind. And so far is working wonderfully on my scars! I will definitely be repurchasing.

I tried the OTC scar removal agents that you can get at Walmart and other stores and I tried the Derma-E scar gel, but this is hands down the best scar removal agent I have ever used. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and I can already see the difference!!! I have some old scars that I know will take extra time to get rid off but applying this once daily (sometimes I do apply twice a day but only when I can remember to).

Within these 2 weeks my older scars have gotten so much lighter that it seriously mind blowing to me. I used the Derma-E scar gel and it did not give me the results I see with Stratpharma Strataderm Scar Therapy Gel.

I would recommend this to every person I know that wants to help remove scaring. I am SOOO happy a worker at the retail store recommended this to me!.

I was prescribed this ointment following the major laparoscopy surgery. My wounds/scars are healing very well and fast, compared to the previous experience when I didn’t use this ointment, it took more than a month for my incisions to close properly.

The tip is to use a t-shirt or a vest under clothes as the ointment is a bit greasy and sometimes can stain the clothes if I put too much. I have ordered the second tube to continue as it works for me.

Used for new breast lift scars. It does not dry in 3-4 minutes, nowhere close!!! The instructions are so vague. It says that if it doesn’t dry in 3-4min then you’re using too much. I was using such a tiny miniscule amount it wasn’t enough to cover the scars and it still wouldn’t dry.

One time I waited 30minutes and it still wasn’t dry! If your scar comes in contact with clothing, silicon tape is a far superior product and you have the confidence that the tape is on the scar properly.

Using this product I was forever worried that I hadn’t applied it properly and it took 20-30minutes of waiting time to see if it had dried.

I love this stuff! It really does work on scars. The trick is to use it regularly and you don’t have to slather it on. Just dab it across the area you are concerned about. After using this on a surgery scar, I bought some for my daughter to use on an old scar she received when she was a child.

Brought this for post face lifts scars. Waited until the scars were mending three weeks post, to apply the cream. The gel stung like crazy , felt like it was pulling the scar and kept me awake with the itching all night.

I had to stop using it. May work for Someone else but sadly not for me. The product is now left in the draw. My money is wasted.

I am using this product from the past 2 months. I met with an accident and had stitch marks on my face. After applying this, it is healing those marks faster. I would highly recommend this product for injury marks and burns.

This review is for the Scar Control product only, not the seller. I recently had abdominal surgery, and as the scars were healing I noticed I was getting knotted scarring under the skin. I also had one scar that felt like it had a nerve caught in scar tissue underneath.

I bought this product, and I can’t say enough good things about it! It works so fast for me! I put a couple of drops on each scar and by the next day I couldn’t feel the knotted feeling under the scars anymore.

Mind you, my issue wasn’t topical. like it hasn’t done a thing on stretch marks-I don’t think that’s what it’s for. It smells nice, and does what it says it will do- couldn’t ask for anything more!.

I had ankle reconstruction surgery last November and the scar was terrible! I tried SkinMedica after first trying another expensive brand but this one wins out by far! I tried one with allantion and the scar felt slightly moisturized but nothing more and then I found out you can buy it in a drugstore for like 5 bucks.

This product was suggested to me by my dermatologist to erase scars left by burns from cookig. It looks like petroleum jelly but is so mist, that my skin absorbs it very fast leaving a soft texture when I touch my arm.

I am still using this product to get rid of a hypertrophic burn scar that I received to my wrist following airbag deployment during a car accident. So far after about three weeks of continuous use (2-3 times per day), I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the overall redness surrounding the raised portion.

The pictures here are taken in the same lighting 3 weeks apart, and my scar was about 5 months old at the time of starting the treatment – if you have minor burn that is red/purple but not raised, this product will work well and quickly! The company says to use it for 12 weeks for full results.

I have not used this product previously and did not feel it made much difference initially. However in the past month I notice when I don’t use the dermatix silicone then the itching and swelling comes back.

Definitely will continue using as scarring has definitely reduced.

The gel itself is really good and does exactly what it says on the box and instructions. The gel squeezes out slowing making sure you dont waste any. It has helped with my scar healing so I would definitely recommend this product.

The downside to the product is its size not impressed with how small is actually is when you takeout out of the box !!! I will be looking to buy a bigger tube next time but will definitely shop around for the best deal.

I primarily use this as an eye cream and for the fine lines around my mouth. It’s completely taken care of my undereye bags and minor crows feet, as well as the few small lines near my upper lip. It’s soothing, no odor, and penetrates fairly quickly.

Love this product as well as this company, and use some of their other items as well. It contains some highly effective skin rejuvenating ingredients, too. Can’t say enough good things!.

I used New Gel with E on a surgery wound morning and night. It softened the scar and made the scar lighter in color. There was a dip in an old scar. After applying the New Gel twice a day it appears the dip leveled off.

Love this Silicone Gel! I used it for a scar on my leg and now its barely visible. This is a product we would recommend to patients after having cosmetic surgery to minimize the appearance of their scar and I have seen this stuff work wonders.

I would recommend this over bio oil.

Its definitely has helped an old deep scar I’ve had for over a year now. I highly recommend New Gel, I also lightly scrub the scar with a paste of water and baking soda occasionally. The scar has got flatter and smoother with out a doubt.

I should of used the New Gel right after the injury happened because I know it would of made the healing almost unnoticed.

Three weeks ago I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my face. Following the operation I was given a sample of Silderm scar gel to use by the doctor once my stitches were removed. I have been using it twice a day and have bought some more.

Friends and family cant believe how much the scar has improved. I will definitely keep using it.

my dermatologist recommended I use this product to reduce scaring after having skin cancer. It has already begun to reduce the redness on my chest and seems to also be helping to reduce normal deep lines I have there as well, so a win win.

I would highly recommend this product for any scars from surgery you may have.

I think it is expensive and not good value. I have been using it for a while now and could not believe how small the tube was I bought. I usually have the large size with the rollers but as it had gone up in price so much I don’t think I will buy it again.

So this product does seem to lessen the appearance of scars. It does not make they go away, but be less noticeable. The price really could be better. Also, this product takes a long time to really work.

Which made me wonder, did my scar fade on its own or did this product fade it.

this products does soften the scar but if the scar is really old I’m not too sure if this is for you. I stopped using this because i felt that it does not work for the types of scars i have (keloids).

I’ve tried out this product and honestly did not apply religiously. Perhaps if I stuck with it from the beginning I would have seen better results.

I tried other silicone creams which were expensive, messy, made me break out. This is soothing, and I need a small amount for a very large scar. It within a few weeks has made the scar much less angry.

I don’t break out from the cream. I’m very happy so far as the scar is softening. I’m very curious to see how this helps in the longer term as my scar is thicker and irritated.
