20 Best Fidget Blanket For Dementia (2023 Updated)

The Rumpl is well-sized (1-person) and adept at trapping heat/providing warmth. I keep mine in my home office for when it gets chilly and often have it outside for various outdoor events. I appreciate the ease of cleaning–just toss in a washing machine–but wish I could toss it in my machine at home instead of going to the laundromat for the prescribed front-load only.

It’s a great product for car camping and for sitting around on a patio or any other outdoor area. I wavered over whether to rate this blanket at 4 or 5 stars and ultimately fell to 4 for the following reasons: 1) I really wish it packed down a little smaller.

Granted, I could splurge and purchase one of Rumpl’s more packable (and much more expensive) natural down blankets, but I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the extra. Perhaps better size comparison pictures would’ve helped this decision for me.

2) I hope the blanket lives up to its advertised durability–if it does, that’s awesome. That said, it is less than ideal that this blanket has to be babied and watched closely around campfires/stove fires/etc.

It isn’t the end of the world, but my ideal “rugged, durable” go-anywhere blanket wouldn’t need special consideration around the most ubiquitous of outdoor gathering spots–a fire pit. Overall, I’d be hard-pressed to recommend anyone not purchase this blanket.

Heck, I purchased two more for gifts to family members who I think will love them. If Rumpl were ever to make these even a small percentage more packable and eliminate the spark/ember fire concerns, it would be a solid 5-star product.

Until then, it’s still pretty darn great.

I bought a rumple blanket years ago and since the dog has taken it over I decided to get another one for myself. The new blanket is great but a little different than my old one. It is several inches smaller in length and width, which I didn’t really like, but it’s still plenty big enough.

Also, it’s a much thinner blanket. I haven’t noticed that it is any less warm so it may just be a better, thinner insulation in the newer version. Personally I prefer the slightly thicker weight of the old one, but that’s probably just me.

(The newer blanket does pack down a little smaller, so I guess it being thinner does have some advantages. ) The cape clip is a really cool new feature. That comes in pretty handy. I love these blankets, the old one and the new one, and I’m actually thinking about buying a third.

They hold up really well outdoors and on trips and don’t get dirty easily. Like I said before my dog has stolen the older one for his bed. Dog hair doesn’t stick to them at all and they don’t get smelly like other blankets when he lays on them.

They are great if your fur baby is spoiled rotten and allowed on the furniture like mine is!🤣 Helps keep the couches and beds a little cleaner. Long story short, these blankets are awesome! Buy one, you’ll love it, it’s definitely worth the money!.

I don’t personally have a rumpl. But a friend did have one at this time I was homeless and had been homeless for two and a half years living on the street and they let me borrow their rumpl. Because I didn’t have anything to keep me warm and it was getting cold since it was late October in Utah.

It was amazing so late I didn’t even notice I was carrying more than everything else that I own on my back every day everywhere so adding this blanket was like nothing it was perfect. Perfect size to cover me can’t be warm I huddled up in a little corner of a church where they had a place I could be hidden from the street so no one would see me and come harass me or attack me or anything.

I didn’t have any cardboard which is what you should put down on concrete and I was laying on concrete. But I wrapped this blanket around me and I was warm! Being homeless and living on the street at night when it’s cold sometimes you freeze like your feet will go numb for hours after you wake up you wait for him to wake up but this blanket kept me warm and the sprinklers came on which was amazingly fun.

Most places do set their sprinklers to go off at night best time to water so it doesn’t evaporate in the sun I guess. Even with the sprinklers going I was getting kind of hit with the water but the blanket kept it off me.

It didn’t make me wet and get cold. This would be a lifesaver for a lot of people. Simple things like this can mean everything to somebody. I love your product and one day I hope to have one for myself.

A little over 4 years ago, I impulse a Rumpl in the checkout line at REI. I really didn’t know what Rumpl was then but knew I was always cold and loved the size of it. This has become a standard in my home! My kids are competitive soccer players in the north and it lives in my trunk and has saved me many a cold game, camping trip, hotel stay, pop up illness, soaked kid.

Which led me to buying 2 during the last sale, 1 for each kid so they stopped taking mine. Last cold soccer game mine wasn’t in my trunk. my daughter came out of the game for a break and I look over to see her wrapped in my Rumpl! Now we own 3 and my kids even sleep with theirs as comforters on their bed preferring the chill of fabric with warmth of blanket combo.

I am a tireless advocate to friends, family, and cold moms on the soccer sidelines as I’m toasty warm wrapped in my Rumpl. Over the 4 years I’ve had mine it’s withstood dog puke, kid puke, mud volleyball, endless camping trips and hammock sits.

I’ve washed it a TON and it is still as warm and looks as good as the day I bought it. Best blanket I’ve ever owned and I’ve been collecting blankets my whole 40 years. Eyeing up the poncho for myself while coaching soccer as the next purchase.

I got my first Rumpl (original puffy blanket) in April of 2020. I have subsequently purchased several for friends and family as gifts. I originally purchased it as a lighter option for summer camping.

Now, my Rumpl blanket follows me EVERYWHERE. In the cold SD winter, I carry it all over the house with me to keep me warm. I have brought it to the movie theater, picnicking, camping, and to several other countries.

This blanket is more well-traveled than a lot of people I know. It is lightweight but reflects back so much heat. I wash it on cold/delicate in the washer (despite the instructions) when needed (often), and hang it to dry indoors (which it does in a matter of a few hours).

It looks just as vibrant today as when I unboxed it. My favorite thing about it is that since the material is slippery like a sleeping bag, is doesn’t collect dog hair AT ALL. I cannot recommend Rumpl highly enough.

Purchased this blanket for my daughter for her birthday. She loves outdoor activities and will soon be doing some world traveling, so it should really come in handy! The 1-person blanket is the perfect size for her and, while lightweight, is very warm and cozy.

Love how you can wear it as a cape! The material will also help keep it from picking up dirt easily. The design really is beautiful, and the colors are her favorite. She loved that it was made from recycled plastic bottles, as well.

One suggestion for Rumpl — it’s probably not great to suggest the cape clip allows you to free your hands so you can start a fire, when the blanket says it’s flammable and to keep away from flames/sparks/etc.

So I should start off by saying I love your products and how you go about making them. The quality of materials are fantastic, and I love how you make great options exist for recycled products. With that being said, I do have issues with your higher end synthetic and down products.

The issue resides mainly in the loft size for your Featherlite and NanoLoft series of Rumpls. For a blanket, one should expect that if you are paying more, the performance of the item should be greater.

As for what performance is in a blanket, the primary use case tends to be insulation. The NanoLoft and Featherlite blankets have such low performance in terms of insulation, since it seems that you have valued packable size over the actual warmth of the product.

I work in the outdoor industry at REI and I can honestly say that when someone is looking at your Featherlite blanket (399. 99 usd price point), I urge them NOT to purchase it. You could easily spend 100 less on a packable quilt that has the same purpose with a MUCH higher quality down-fill count.

The Featherlite has an embarrassingly low quality down-fill for the extremely high price. All of this could be forgiven, if it actually kept you warm. But again, it seems that you believe the consumer wants a small blanket to spend 400 dollars on, as opposed to a well performing product.

I hope to see changes in pricing or in the quality of your products, or I can only recommend buying them when on such a drastic discount, such as the one I received.

When preparing to move eight cats from the US to Portugal, we needed to find blankets that would be comforting to the cats and also help protect furnishings and airplanes. In the past we’ve used waterproof sheets, but those are undesirable for a variety of reasons: aesthetics, comfort, and sustainability.

I accidentally happened across Rumpl blankets online and was thrilled that they were not only water repellent (cat accidents happen!), but also made from recycled materials. I purchased one to try it out and when it arrived I was stunned by how beautiful it was in person.

The colors are gorgeous! We ordered 2 more plus a couple of Stash Mats about a month before moving so that the cats could get used to them and they would smell like home. The cats loved them immediately and they became a favorite bed.

In transit, the blankets helped keep the cats warm and block out some of the airplane noise, and they saved the day with a water spill and litter box accident. Now they cover our furniture to keep fur at bay, and they are so beautiful we don’t have to hide them away when company comes.

The cats still love them and sleep on them almost exclusively! We plan to add to our collection so we have plenty to go around. And they are really durable and easy to wash, so cat claws and shedding fur aren’t a concern.

This is my all-time favorite RUMPL (I have 7 and the collection is growing!). If you’re searching for the perfect, versatile blanket, search no more. Even during COVID times, I’m on the road quite a bit for work – I DO NOT travel without this blanket.

It packs down to the size of a water bottle making it easy to carry on to planes (fits perfectly in the water bottle pouch on the side of a pack!). I never know how cold I’m going to be on a flight – so I love having the blanket with me as an insurance policy.

It’s the perfect size for plane use – it covers my body with just enough to tuck underneath my bottom without being too unwieldy for tight airplane seats. It also doubles as a great pillow if need be.

The pyro trii-fade is a beautiful, vibrant pattern – I’m eying a larger size as the next addition to my collection because I love the pattern so much! I also keep one of these in the car – from soccer games to softball tournaments, you never know when it’s going to come in handy – I use it all the time! I purchased this product the week it launched (thank you RUMPL email list!) and have used it on a couple dozen flights and for many, many outdoor sporting events – it’s showing no signs of wear or tear.

Also washes well – I hang dry so there haven’t been any issues with fading or shrinking in the dryer. It’s my favorite RUMPL – warm, versatile and fun!.

I bought the blankets for my 3 year old granddaughter and my 4 year old grandson. They both are using them, but they haven’t really solved their sleeping issues. My granddaughter struggles every night with relaxing and going to sleep quickly, sometimes it takes her an hour even after quiet bedtime routine, reading two books and singing to her.

She still tosses, turns and fidgets before finally falling asleep, that hasn’t changed since using the weighted blanket. My grandson, has difficultly staying asleep and wakes several times a night. The hope was that the blanket would help him stay asleep and not get up and down all night.

That hasn’t stopped as I had hoped. But their moms want to keep trying. So we will see. Both parents have mentioned that they blankets make the kids very warm, and do they come with light fabrics?.

It’s been too hot here for me to try the weighted blanket as soon as I bought it. Now, however, it’s been cool enough at night for a number of nights so I can give a proper review. I have type 1 autism.

I bought the 20lb adult weighted blanket basically out of desperation – I’ve had terrible sleep all my adult life starting in my mid teens (I’m over 50 now). When I get woken up (say for a bathroom visit, or a household noise), especially as I got over 50 it meant that I was up for the rest of the night.

Far too many nights where I had 1. 5 to 4. 5 hours sleep at best. Then factor in periodic insomnia and I’ve felt tired to utterly exhausted for most of my waking life as an adult with it getting worse as I get older.

Now that it’s cooler and I’ve been able to use the weighted blanket all night I have to say it’s been wonderful. I particularly love the feel of it across my shoulders and tucked all around my torso.

It’s a very calming, relaxing, and comforting feeling. Instead of taking 1-3 hours to get to sleep every night, it’s now taking. 5 to 1 hour to get to sleep. When I wake up (or get woken up), I’m awake for 5-20 minutes rather than for the rest of the night.

I have a fitness watch that tracks sleep, so I’m pretty sure on the change in times for these. 🙂 With the weighted blanket I can get up multiple times a night and still get back to sleep after I lie down again.

I haven’t yet gone through an insomnia period with it, so I don’t know yet if it’ll help with that. But even if it doesn’t, being able to get decent sleep most nights has made an incredible difference in just the week I’ve been able to use the blanket all night.

I’m also impressed by the construction of the blanket and cover, particularly the little bags of glass beads inside the sewn off squares of the blanket to keep the weights in the right areas, and the ties that attach the weighted blanket inside the cover on all edges.

I am satisfied with the blanket, which is an improvement over the less expensive one I have been using. The weight stays distributed evenly, and it is more flexible. I believe my sleep has improved, and my spouse concurs.

The cover, while pleasantly soft, is also somewhat slippery. It has a tendency to slide off of the bed if not positioned carefully. The ties that secure the blanket to the cover are soft but satiny, so they come loose easily unless you tie true knots.

This make it difficult to remove for cleaning. For perspective, I am an adult Aspie assessing this blanket as a direct user of the product.

I use this primarily behind my pickup under my Kelty Waypoint Tarp as a way to keep dirt out of the trucked and sort of extend the “living space” a bit. It’s lightweight, and seemingly durable with coolers, chairs, and hiking boots being on it almost constantly.

I haven’t used the little pocket that on it yet, and can’t quite think of a use for it honestly, although I’m sure someone more imaginative than I could find a reason to use it. All-in-all a solid purchase that I am more than happy with.

I thought this would be a warm blanket to use with my double deluxe eno hammock. And although it isn’t what I thought it would be I really like this blanket a lot. I live near the beach and I enjoy hammocking underneath the fishing pier.

And this blanket really made the difference. Love the size and material Love the zipper and the included stakes that come in the Velcro stash bag. When staked in the sand on a very windy day this blanket stayed put.

The blanket is ~92″ x 92″, since I didn’t see that info anywhere. This parachute-like material blanket is large, water resistant, lightweight and packs down very well. It’s become my go-to beach blanket, easily fitting 3 people (could fit more).

It also comes with 4 stakes which has been a gamer changer for the beach. I would highly recommend if you are looking for something light weight, packs small, big, and versatile.

I had ordered this online on Mon, Dec 6th at 1004am and got the notification on the same day for 1017am that my order was ready to be picked up in the Windermere location (Edmonton, AB). I couldn’t wait to pick it up as its my dream fidget (1 of 2).

I have a Dimpl (purchased from Mastermind Toys in South Common) but wanted a Simpl Dimpl as its compact, light, and the assorted colors. This was my first time at the Windermere location I thought that these stores would be busy from open to close, surprisingly, they weren’t.

Maybe because they were getting ready for Grandparents day the next day sale. There was only 1 other customer getting her gift wrapped. I got my order and asked for a different color of the Simpl Dimpl as its my dream fidget and really wanted the blue and green.

Since you weren’t able to pick out the color online I knew that they wouldn’t pick the colors that I wanted (a feature I don’t particularly like). I AM IN LOVE! I haven’t stopped using it since the time and day that I had picked it up.

I love the colors, carabiner, the brain imprint on the dimpl’s, the white hard plastic, and it feels super comfortable in my hands. It was easy to order, to purchase and to pick up my order in such a short time frame.

I bought this product today and I am obsessed. It’s fantastic and a great fidget toy, for anxiety, autism, ADHD etc. It has a nice texture and helps with stimming, fidgeting, boredom and regulation. My husband encouraged me to buy a weighted blanket because he loves the one he has so much. When these went on sale I decided to get one and see. It is SO NICE! The sherpa is cozy and the floral side is a sort of super short velvet that is really pretty.

I love the Folk Floral design I got (it really goes with my eclectic house) and was surprised that it came in a carrying bag! The carrying bag zips shut and has double handles to carry it by- honestly a necessary thing with how heavy the blanket is! I am SO ready to take this on road trips and sleep as well away as at home!.

I bought this for my son in 2020 ( he was born in 2021) he has slept with it ever since. I wanted to buy a new one because I’m always scared that if we lose it , he would freak out and not be able to sleep without out, and it would be nice to have two that we can go back and forth from so that they last longer.

I am super disappointed. The product is still as soft as ever, but the quality has changed. The little elephant head is not the same, the color is way darker. It almost looks like a black market Version of the original.

I’ve learned the hard way to order multiple, varied Lovey’s. Keeps baby from becoming too attached to one that may become impossible to find. These are very economical also. I purchased two packs.

I bought my son the giraffe “lovey†when he was a baby. He is now almost 2 and absolutley loves it still. He loves to chew on its head and ears for some reason and cuddles it and hugs it every night.

I wash his beloved lovey every week in the washing machine and dry it in the dryer. Lovey is made well and still looks quite good! It has definitely held up well over time!.

Sorry I wanted to like this blanket. I bought the woven daydream down blanket TWICE! after taking to customer service after the first one arrived with multiple manufacturer flaws: A bird’s nest of random thread sewn into the blanket.

A few threads that straight up missed their mark but were still connected to the blanket. A hole that was leaking down about 2-3 inches in a 6 inch area. Blanket was covered in down, ended up getting all over.

No matter how much you try it keeps coming out. Also, static electricity was insane! Returned the 1st blanket to REI, purchased a second. Even the sales team was shocked at the QC. This new one didn’t have as many blatant flaws, however it was still consistently leaking down.

Evidently they all leak down. The static electricity that they emit is like a force field that makes sure they always remain charged and encircled with a mysterious cloud of fine down particle. If you enjoy taking lint rollers for a cruise and randomly getting something in your eye, this is the blanket for you.

So the ridiculous static, the fine particles that never stop shedding, the price tag of $260, equal a pretty bad deal. I have had down garments that get serious use snowboarding that never shed a feather.

This is a cheaply manufactured product, period. Marketing team gets an A+ tho! Overall customer service for rumpl was ok. I have a few remaining questions: How can you make this right. For a company that markets themselves so well, how do you address these QC issues? I’ve read a bunch of similar reviews and that’s why I left mine.

Honestly, I don’t know what to do with this blanket. I really wanted to like it, and the company. Maybe the original is a superior product? I’m scared the nano loft is similar to the down. At this point I’d trade mine for anything.

I absolutely love my Rumpl blanket! Don’t be fooled by its great looks. Yes, the colors are beautiful, and vibrant. But, this blanket is made right. It’s light weight, very comfy and warm. It’s also very versatile.

I’ve used it camping (in place of a sleeping bag). It also has a cool “cape” buckle so you can wear it sitting around the camp ground or sporting event. Mostly, I just love cuddling up in it on my couch at home.

Don’t worry, it is easy to wash, too. Get one!.

I get cold easily and have been eyeing to purchase a wearable blanket. This weighted wearable snuggle blanket is great. Upon opening it, it is extremely soft. I purchased the black and the color is just as shown on the product page.

I was excited to begin using it. Because it is weighted, it is on the heavier side. I am 5’4 and it is long on me and would drag on the floor if I am standing up. I like that even though it is weighted, I am still able to move around and do things.

It also works well when I am sitting on the couch as it is long enough to cover my feet. The blanket doesn’t cover your whole back but about half way down the back. It is super warm and comfortable. I like that it is weighted as it makes me feel cozier.

I am very happy with the purchase and am still wearing the snuggle blanket as I am writing this review.

The weighted Snuggle I received ended up leaking in a couple of places. I sent along some pictures to a customer service representative to responded very quickly and issued a replacement blanket. I received my own Snuggle as a gift and bought this one to give as a gift, so I can say that this is a wonderful product.

It is soft and warm, and I appreciate having this draped over my couch so I don’t have to lug the weighted blanket on my bed back and forth to the couch. I highly recommend this product!.

The red and black buffalo check color is so beautiful! My husband loves it too and we are always fighting over it. I have other weighted blankets but this one is by far my absolute favorite! It would make the perfect gift for anyone and is available in different colors and patterns.

I was hesitant about this blanket because it doesn’t look very attractive in the pictures. I was actually pleasantly surprised. The minky side is really pretty and the blanket is high-quality. My high-functioning autistic son (10) tends to get up several times in the night, sometimes sleep-walking.

First the good: Blanket is exactly as stated. I like that there’s one side microfiber & the other, a more soft fuzzy (non-flannel) type fabric. I bought this because you can wash it in the washer instead of buying a duvet cover & having to take that off & on.

I also liked the color option as I didn’t want gray or white since our bedroom is tan/black. The not so good: I actually bought this for sleeping & used the weight/size chart to determine which to buy.

I purchased the black/gray & 20 lb. option. Upon laying it on our Cal King (longer version of a king mattress) it was too short. Mostly my fault for not measuring! Trying to sleep with this heavy blanket resulted in me taking it off in the morning & going back to my regular sheet/blanket bedding.

Personally, I think if you’ve tried weighted blankets & know the weight that already works for you then this is a great buy after looking at several stores & prices but not if you haven’t (like me) ever used a weighted blanket.

As soon as this arrived, I put it on my bed. Although it was much smaller than I expected, it works really well. I get into bed and it’s like getting a warm hug. For whatever reason, I don’t seem to be as hot as I was before, but just toasty warm and very comfortable.

This item arrived with another item purchased at the same time. It was not in the pictures box, but was simply loose in the packing box. In fact, I thought it was packing material. Rather than being a cute “gag gift”, without the box it would look as if I was giving someone discarded materials.

The Positive Vibe Blanket was so awesome, I bought one for myself as well as one for Best Friend who will love it as much if not more than me. It’s so is. Her hubby thinks we’re crazy. I read on your web site you have hundreds of items but I find your web site very frustrating slow and difficult to navigate from one page to another.

It’s like I can view 3 or 4 items the fool around trying to see more then it’s only 3-4 items, wait and click trying to get to another page. I end up giving up after 4-5 pages, feeling frustrated over not being able to see the hundreds of items on sale.

I had not found the ideal gift for my daughter in law and I live about 30 miles from the nearest city. I bought these as a lovey for my little one and they are just too thick luxurious for that purpose. If you are looking for a small blanket for the stroller or just to take pictures on, these are great.

My little one buried her face in the soft plush and when she lifted her head up she had little hairs from the blanket all around her mouth and nose so it’s not a cuddle blanket. At least not until they are much older and even then, I wouldn’t leave them unsupervised with them.

They are very thick. Again beautiful and worth every penny but not a lovey. It’s hard to tell on the website how thick and heavy they are.

When I received the blanket I noticed that there were a lot of loose threads all around the border of the blanket where they attached the silk. It looks like it was rushed. I have received two other blankets from Saranoni a lush baby blanket and a blanket for my toddler and they are great.

The sewing on this blanket is not good and there are gaps on the border where the thread has already come out. Also, the embroidery I had put on is hard to read and is hidden by the longer fibers of the blanket.

I’m not happy with this blanket at all and will not be shopping with Saranoni in the future.

I am completely disappointed in the blanket. During ordering there was an issue- I filled out exactly what options were given but turned out the most important detail was not applied. The blanket came but the quality looked like something used.

it was ragged and the stitching was clumsy looking. When I complained that the most important detail was missing, I was told sarcastically that it was my mistake ordering. When I informed them how ragged and sloppy the blanket looked, I was asked to take a picture.

It was worth my time and a mistake ordering from this company I would never make again. Blanket does not dryer friendly so you need to lay it flat to dry- Looks hideous after washed and left to dry flat.

It seriously looks like a product half assed make and thrown together. Very disappointed. I have not felt it was something I even wanted to share with my child. Does not appear comforting and serves no purpose.

I received a Minky for Christmas a few years ago and although I didn’t like the pattern, I loved it and took it everywhere. (I’m 44 but I deserve a security blanket because I travel a lot. Whatever) I left the blanket in a hotel in California or Arizona.

I tried to live without it but alas, I could not. My husband insisted I buy a new one so now I have a color I love and it goes everywhere with me. I probably need a back up in case this one goes missing.

I legit left shoes and make up behind in Texas so I could take my Minky home alone with souvenirs and not go overweight on my luggage. These blankets are, no joke, worth every penny. (I used to mock them, but I have been sufficiently humbled.

This is such a gorgeous color, I love it! I purchased to gift my sister for her birthday! So I haven’t felt it yet, and no I’ve not poked a little hole in the wrapper to feel it yet. I probably will though 😀 I’m sure it’s super soft! Can’t go wrong with the hugs collection! I’m sure it’s going to be loved! I absolutely love gifting Minky Couture blankets 🧡.

The color is amazing! So beautiful, reminds me of Fall. the hugs blanket are true to the name. The blanket conforms to your body for a cozy experience. the weight of the blanket is a bit heavy, but it is great if you’re a fan of the weighted blankets.
