20 Best Fibre Optic Christmas Tree (2023 Updated)

I have bought several items from BCP and have always been so impressed by the quality so I am giving this a 2 star review just because I generally think BCP makes quality products. but this purchase was really disappointing.

I would not recommend this tree to anyone. The tree looks ok from a distance in the dark with enough work (adding lots of decorations and strategically arranging the branches). but it is VERY fake looking and seems poorly made.

The thing I am most upset about is that the pieces do not fit together well enough to make the tree sturdy. It is so unsteady that the top literally sways/moves if I touch it. No matter what I have tried (tightening the base, adding tape to the pole where the top two pieces meet, adding pads to the base, etc), the pieces of the tree do not connect well enough to make it solid & sturdy.

I think the issue may be that the tree is too big to be only 2 pieces; every tree I have had in the past has been at least 3 pieces and this one is much bigger then the others I’ve had). Also the lighting is terrible.

the only actual lights are at the ends of the branches and all branches for each section/level of the tree are the same all the way around so the lights just look like alternating single-color stripes.

Another thing I was disappointed by was how cheap and fake the tree looks. The “pines” remind me of the fake grass used for Easter baskets. I know fake trees never look very realistic, but this is the worst one I have ever had.

For the price of this product, I am shocked and really disappointed by its quality. I hope this is not a new trend with BCP products because before this I could not have been happier with the price and quality of their products.

I’ve been searching for a new fiber optic tree. This one is just ok. I must not read it throughly. I wanted one like my old tree. The settings had just clear lights solid or blinking. Then colored with solid or blinking.

Then one that switched between color and clear lights. This tree is just colored. And has led bulbs as well as fiber optic. Led bulbs are just so frigging bright. All the setting lane leave us feeling like we are at a party with how busy they are even on the slow setting.

And I have to unplug the tree every night cuz there’s no on off switch. And the control to the lights is tied to the tree so I have to get under every time to put it in the setting I want. I won’t be able to put presents under the tree or part of the tree so I can access the light control which is just stupid.

This is actually a pretty sweet fiber optic tree and better than I was expecting with a lot of different options for lights. Some of the light sequences aren’t usable bc they literally have a strobe light effect that is almost seizure inducing.

Kind of a waste but other than that this is a decent little fiber optic tree for the price. Using it in the kid’s room – not super full but bought for the fiber optic part.

From the photos it looked a lot different than in person. With this particular tree, it appeared that some bulbs were missing from the tree, and the color wheel was not attached. I imagine that it would look a lot different with all of the original parts attached.

Absolutely beautiful. The right height for my small living room. Colorful, bright, stunning. .

I love the light effect with the fiber optics. There are not as many balls as the picture would lead you to believe, but with the good price I figure I can add some if I wanted.

My husband and I are seniors. We chose this tree from the picture so we would not have to decorate it this year. It is okay but I wish the fiber optic trees were fuller at the base – possibly 40″ in diameter or more instead of 30″ and with more fiber optic lights.

We put this on an end table and it works. The picture makes it look much larger than it is. It will work this year but will try to find a fuller taller tree with more lights next year.

The bulb in the base burnt out in a short time. The replacement bulb was easily found at a agricultural store. We i bought a much brighter led bulb that used less electricity and the tree dazzles (same size replacement except brighter) ! Note, the top of the gold tub is tough to PRY off, to get inside.

Otherwise quite easy to work inside. Very pretty tree with the brighter bulb installed and now works great.

When I first opened the box, I thought this tree looked very fake & cheap. I set it up with the directions provided which were very informative and quite easy. Then I plugged it in & how Beautiful! It does not look cheap or fake at all.

I like that I can plug in the LED lights separately from the fiber optic lights. It is the perfect height & the width is smaller than my previous artificial tree & can fit in smaller spaces. My ornament look very nice on this tree.

I wasn’t sure about this tree when i ordered it, but the price was right and it seemed like it was worth the chance. Am i glad i decided to get it. There was no branch fluffing. Just a matter of lowering the branches down and into position.

The LED lights are bright and the fiber optic lights give the effect of colored lights reflecting and sparkling on garland. I also thought the star might be generic, but was rather impressed. I definitely recommend this tree.

If you are looking for an easy, nicely shaped, pretty tree, at this price you can’t go wrong. ppl.

This is a BEAUTIFUL tree for the price, which hasn’t changed much since I purchased mine a couple of years ago and decided to decorate this year as my husband has overcome pancreatic cancer. While decorating this little beauty, it kept listing to the side and every time I tried to straighten it, it would list more.

Finally, when it looked like it was going to fall over, I took all the ornaments off (not many, it’s a TINY tree) and got 2 green metal garden plant stakes and pushed them down the center of the tree as far as they would go, keeping within the wire branch wraps, and then cut the excess metal off at the top with a bolt cutter.

The bottom branches were loose and moved around a lot, not to mention that they were bunched more to one side of the tree, so I pushed the branches around the tree more evenly and wrapped wire around the bottom branches a few times to keep them tight and in place.

NOW this little beauty stands straight and tall and I can continue to use her without paying the outrageous fees trees are going to this year. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!.

I needed a fiberoptic tree that rotates, this was literally the only one I could find anywhere. Thought I hit gold when I did finally find it, but unfortunately, it isn’t what I hoped it was. It spins pretty quickly, not slow and smooth and gracefully like others I’ve had in the past.

The colors change so fast it’s almost flashing. Not the most pleasant to watch. And the noise the motor makes is completely obnoxious. It’s in my kids’ bedroom and surprisingly it doesn’t keep them up.

But I wish there was a way to slow down the spinning and the light changing. It’s like an assult to look at it and hearing it all night I would personally get a headache.

This tree was well packaged & came in two parts. The spanner was missing but luckily we found we had one ourselves that fit. It was simple to put together & didn’t take very long at all. It did take quite a while to arrange the branches & cones just so.

We unfolded its magical appearance as a reward. Very pleased with the visual effect of our tree, it’s still up now. Thank you.

Look on the post the tree looks lovely but when it arrived the box was only up to the top of your legs and the box was so skinny , once opened the tree looked so anorexic and so tiny it wasn’t a full huge fluffy tree it honestly looked sick I don’t think it was worth the $38 but lucky for me I ended up selling it to someone else and then I ended up buying a better tree elsewhere.

The company that it came from did give me a $10 discount back as at first I wanted to send it back as it was horrid but they said it would cost over $29 to post back so they refunded me $10 and I was able to sell the tree , yeah sorry guys but it was shocking.

I was quite surprised to see a 7 foot tree in a box that would typically be used for a much smaller tree. The tree is very sparse.

Purchased this tree to put on a table in the living room. Was hopping it would show up through the window to complete some outside Christmas decor. The light from the fiber optics is so dim, you have to turn off all the lights in the room to see it.

It REALLY needs a stronger light source. If someone has come up with a fix, I would really like to see an update.

This fiber optic tree by the National Tree Company came with loose pieces shaking around in the base. I was able to shake out a very small screw and its matching small nut. When I plugged in the tree, it lit up but the colors did not change nor the they blink, 2 functions which are supposed to work on this tree.

I removed the tree from the base and opened up the base both on top and on bottom. The color wheel was not attached and the motor was wobbling. I saw that the small screw and nut had been off of one side of the motor.

I secured it properly. Then I looked at the color wheel that had fallen off. I found 2 very small plastic washers and figured that one must go on the bottom of the the color wheel and the other on the top in order for it to spin.

So I affixed it properly. When everything looked to be in order, I reassembled the base and put the tree in the stand. After plugging in, the tree worked properly.

Tree itself looks very good and appears to be well made. However, the fiber optics could use a lot of work. Ours stopped working the second day we turned them on. Having some electrical training we opened the base and discovered some very poor soldering on the electrical components.

Not having the required tools we played around with it till we got it working. After playing around with it, we were able to get the motor working and were able to enjoy the fiber optics effect. However, today, the light did come on, but the motor has again stopped working and only lights up in one color (white).

Decided to just leave it as is and chalk it up to a poor purchase decision as the tree itself does look very nice.

Pretty with lots of fibers on every branch. Delightful! But – very small. The measurements on the site are misleading. the tree is just under 3 feet, in a 12 foot base. so the visual impact is less than you may be expecting.

The “4 foot” tree is good for a decorative accent tree or kid’s room – but not big enough for a main tree. Also there’s no way to adjust the speed of the color wheel, which goes very fast with a rather frenetic effect.

It would be way more attractive and “Christmassy” if the colors changed more slowly and soothingly.

Apparently I did not receive the same tree that the others on here wrote about. Mine didn’t want to go around like it should, which I didn’t really care. Music was something to be desired. Glad it can be shut off.

The tree itself looks like something that was left over from the 60’s. the optic lighting was barely lite. Not satisfied with this at all. Sister had purchase an optic tree several years ago from here and it was really nice.

I thought I was getting something of equal value. NOT! Way to much money for the item. Sorry. But will be returning this product.

Tree is beautiful with fiber optic lights and the ornaments are well made. The music box stand is well made and plays Christmas tunes that are clear and done in a music box style. The tree rotates and is a bit wobbly at times but overall it operates very well.

You can also stop the music if you don’t want to hear it and the tree will keep rotating with the lights lit. Very pretty.

I first saw it in box and thought it looks so small but as I unwrapped it it looked so pretty an bigger with branches brought out. I love the bulbs and fiber optics all over and the pretty Christmas songs an it revolves around so nicely.

Glad I bought it. Cant wait for next Christmas now!.

This is one very cute and one very well made tree!! It is as full as the photos suggest and the fiber optics make it a very comforting and subtle addition to your holiday home. I actually had to return a 6ft tree to another seller because it was damaged.

I purchased this tree to replace that one and am over the moon delighted!!! I suffer from PTSD and anxiety and THIS TREE COMFORTS ME with its very soft glow and changing colors. THANK YOU WALMART.

Love this little 3 ft tree. Perfect fir my little outdoor deck table. Stand us a little flimbsy but works beautifully when set stable. Out of stock now but I would’ve bought 2 more.

cute tree bad shipping. they sent it in the original packing box, and FedEx destroyed it, then shoved the broken plastic bits back into the box and taped it up. this should have been packed in a box.

I have a second one coming, and I hope it makes it. walmart did refund, but still. big disappointment.

I bought this tree last year for Christmas. Yes it is easy to put up. However, when I went to put up the tree this year most of the limbs on the bottom half will not hold anything. The branches are barley in the slots.

I didn’t want to replace it yet, so I wrapped wire around the branches to the pole just to hold up the branches to hold ornaments. When you plug up the tree you have to get onto your knees to set the light settings, thats alright the first time.

However, it gets old that you have to do it everytime. Not only that, the led lights are. brightly blinding to a point my family does not want to plug it up. We like the fiber optics on it just wish there was a setting just for it.

The tree is a big disappointment. Needless to say once Christmas is over this year, it will be dragged out and put to the curb for trash pickup. I will go to Lowes or somewhere else before I buy another one from here.

I bought the 5′ with the intention of putting it on a corner table in front of my window. It is a perfect fit. I love the lights on it. I put it up immediately upon receipt, it took about 10-15 minutes.

I haven’t put any further decorations on it, nor have I used the lights since the first night. It is still so early in the season. It was so pretty lighted up on its own, I may not do further decorations this year.

It really was worth the money!!!.

This is a nice tree and easy to set up! The colors do rotate quickly, but it is very pretty to watch. I love the star on top that shines with the color wheel. The ornaments are okay, you can replace them if you don’t like, but we think they are okay as is.

The stand is a bit lightweight, but I have it in a corner and no kids or pets, so no issues for us. The tree is very full with branches, and when you do a little work to spread them out, it looks amazing.

I wanted something that was easy and quick to put up each year, and this tree works!.

Disappointed. It came with a missing ornament the hook was there but no bulb. I thought there would be more fiber optic light strands. The lighting is only on the tips of some branches not all. I had a fiber optic tree about 6 years ago and the fiber optic strands went down the whole branch, and I paid $40 for that one.

This tree it has no lighting on the top of the tree just the star. There is the star then just branches bunched together that you can not move with no lighting on them, then about 4” down the tips are lit and the ornaments start.

It is pretty in the dark I will keep it but, never again will I order something like this without seeing it.

I received this tree and it did not work as described in the reviews. I called customer service as it seemed like a cord was missing. There was a small white empty box among the packaging, but it was as i said, empty.

After talking to customer service (Nicole was great!), she called the manufacturer. They said that there was not to be an additional cord. So I sent Nicole a picture of the tree and where there was a spot that a cord was missing.

With her diligence, she finally ended up getting someone from the manufacturer to tell her that it was missing a cord. So, the manufacturer was at fault and not Hayneedle. They handled it thoroughly.

I just won’t have my adaptor cord until after Christmas. I will know more if the whole tree works after that. It is a lovely small tree and will hopefully we exactly what I was looking for in a fiber optic tree.

It was on sale, so the price was right.

This tree is beautiful! Looks fantastic without any decorations (ornaments) on it. Would highly recommend buying it. Fits perfect in a small corner.

It falls apart it looks like spider web not snow. It looks crazy cheap because it is. When you try to fluff the branches it just comes off the fake and ugly post. The branches are not even on the tree.

It’s random. All you see is the post. It’s so bad. My kids are so sad today as this tree falls apart. Just a terrible product! I want to ship it back and get a refund. So dissatisfied shame on this company for selling sure a terrible product.

Our first artificial tree in ages. We like the longer more realistic, softer ‘leaves’ compared to some of the other plastic fake looking trees. There were a couple ‘broken/loose’ branches, which fortunately aren’t a deal breaker.

I don’t like the alignment of the lower set of branches, as they are aligned with each other and not offset, but maybe this is by design(?). I have not tried to contact the Company about it. The instructions were minimal and not really very helpful.

Ordered this tree and there were no reviews. There were also no close-ups of the branches. Now I know why. As soon as I opened the box it was a NO! It is not a $1200-$1400. tree. Only the center of the branches has wire so you cannot put ornaments on any small branches.

It looks like a plastic tree. No brown in the needles at all.
