The ad came around so I got a free sample off the website. I just started seedlings so followed the instruction and add some to my young starter. Within 2 days, I saw significant growth; tomatoes grow thicker stems on some plants and more true leaves on the other.

Onion and leeks grow thicker stems as well. Quite impressed so far. I will update reviews when I start fertilize the more mature plant. So far, it convinced me enough to go for it this year. Very good product.

As it pointed out, plants reacted fast on this feed.

When I was in highschool my FFA teacher had us use a new fertilizer in the green house to see if it was any good. That was in 2001 and I’ve been using Osmocote ever since. It was the first of it’s kind and I’ve noticed other fertilizers are starting to copy them.

It grows huge lush plants, amazing fruits and vegetables and won’t burn roots. I can sprinkle some on top and know that every time I water my plants are getting fed. When a vicious storm blew down my pear tree I poured an entire bottle into the pit under the tree where some roots were still in the dirt.

It’s been a year later and the tree not only survived, but it bloomed! I will always stay true to this brand.

If it weren’t for this my poor flowers would be suffering without food since this is all they get. I know some gardeners use also immediate fertilizer but I cannot be outdoors for long periods of time so this is what has worked for me.

I like that I can use this not only on my flowers but I have put this on my veggies with success. I will recommend this to friends.

I bought my house 28 years ago before the lady was moved to a care facility. No matter who I have had to cut her climbing red rose bush, parasite vines overtakin it sometimes would bloom prolifically.

I met a lady at Walmart recommended this for feeding so I have high hopes so I keep it producing cause I decided how much I like the rose’s will to live and I want it to do just that abundantly on the end of my NW flower bed.

I’d be lost without now.

If you’re not using this. you should be. I’ve tried all of the other brands of a “gravity” type products and this is the only one that does what it’s suppose to. The only draw back is trimming when they’re so darn sticky but I’m dealing with it.

I’m on the 11th different strain and it works the same on all of them. My personal recommendation is to substitute this for your regular flowering mix every other day in the 5th and 6th week. Any more and you don’t seem to gain enough to justify the expense.

Any less and the results are just a bit shy of what you expect to gain (a day or two either way is not enough to notice). Of every thing I’ve changed in the last 8 years this is the one thing I will never omit in my feeding regiment.

You pay for what you get. This High Phosphate Fertilizer has a lot of the additional micro nutrients you would want or need, and unlike other high phosphate fertilizers – it is highly water soluble. If would be ideal if one could add / work in a serious amount of natural phosphate fertilizer (e.

g. bone meal) at the right time, but it can be challenging to do so without disrupting the plant roots.

Nothing disagreeable about the smell, works well for encouraging healthy green growth. My experience is that it may indeed discourage deer. Can’t swear it’s true, but there are a lot of deer in my immediate area.

They randomly eat whatever isn’t fenced but don’t seem to touch things that have Milorganite scattered around. I use light feedings more frequently. Would give 5 stars except for my concern for what household chemicals could have been dumped down drains.

Maybe my thought is outdated but just the same, I don’t use it directly on my vegetable garden. Instead, I use it on the extended field/yard and use the cuttings for compost and mulch. The Milorganite does a good job keeping the field productive.

I’ve been lawn guy for more than 45+ years. I’m passionate about how my lawn looks. Always had one the best, if not THE best, looking lawn in the neighborhoods I’ve lived. Read all the rave reviews about Milorganite, so a couple of months ago I thought I’d give it a try.

My lawn is about 2,500 sq. ft. Applied nearly a full bag with my hand spreader, and waited to see the lush green appear. Didn’t happen. Only a minor change. Then the record breaking heat came in brutally.

High nineties and triple digits every day and has not let up. Everyone knows a healthy, nourished lawn will withstand that kind of weather much better than a weak lawn. Then the brown areas began to appear even with stepping up watering.

I even resorted to supplemental hand watering those areas. Still looked pretty bad in many areas and pale green. Tried applying a little more Milorganite and watered well every morning. No change. My lawn was weak, malnourished, and suffering from the heat.

So, I went a bought a bag of my old favorite, Scotts Turf Builder All-In-One Lawn Food and applied it. A week and half later, my lawn is thick, lush, and deep green again, and the brown areas are coming back to life and looking good again.

I have even cut back on the watering and it’s still looking like it should. Healthy, deep green, nourished and strong. So, sorry Milorganite. You’re just weren’t up to the task nor my standards. Oh, BTW, your dark black color makes it impossible to see where it’s going when applying by hand spreader!.

I ordered this bag of Milorganite in the Eufaula, Ala store. It was shipped to me directly with no shipping charge. This is my second bag of Milorganite. I am using it as recommended to me by Pike’s Nursery staff in Marietta, Ga as an effective deer deterrent.

I spread the first bag about a month ago around azaleas and camellias, which have been heavily hit by the deer, this past winter. I notice my roses and daylilies, which were also being eaten, are now growing normally.

The azaleas are putting out new growth. I hope Milorganite is repelling deer, but also realize the deer have new spring growth to eat in the woods. In any case my friend has been using Milorganite for years on his lawn with great results on his grass.

Last year he didn’t use it and they had a lot of deer damage in the yard. They hadn’t put the two together. I have high hopes.

This is hands down the quickest, most impressive results I’ve seen with indoor plants. This is also significantly cheaper than other fertilizers, easier, and less smelly. I hope Jobe’s keep making these spikes so I can buy them for the rest of my life.

THE PLANTS ARE SO HAPPY. My snake plant bloomed one week after I have it a spike, which google tells me is rare. All of my other plants have propagated and grown—the spikes haven’t hurt or overloaded any of them.

This is a great product to use in Early budding, It works really well when used in the last weeks of the vegetation stage, have used it for the last 10 years, the price on this is really great.

I got this Greenview Fall Lawn Food to put on my (rather small) lawn. You do have to apply it with a drop spreader so that you don’t end up with too much in one place. I also got it more at the beginning of spring versus the beginning of fall.

I live in Michigan so our weather is pretty crazy. It does work really well as long as you follow directions. You’re going to want to apply it to a dry lawn, on a nice day (thing 60 degrees or more), and water well for a few days at least (don’t overwater though).

Applying in fall would certainly have made it easier. As we are approaching the middle of spring here, I can already see my lawn starting to look more lush and green. I’m so excited to see how it looks as summer comes!.

The fertilizer is easy to spread. Directions are clear and helpful. It’s tough to tell year to year how well the product works. If nothing else, all else being equal, I think the grass feels a bit more robust this Spring than previous springs.

So maybe chalk that up to the mix? Definitely follow the spreading instructions. A little goes a long ways. I did like the weight of the mix – it was easy to apply but didn’t blow around in high winds.

It appeared to find it’s way to the earth well. All in all, I’m fairly pleased.

I got this to try on an area of my yard that we are having problems with. The area was dug up 2 summers ago. We planted new grass there but it hasn’t done very well and gets burned up by the sun very easily.

I went out and applied this to a portion of that area right before it rained. I went back out to check on it about a week later. The grass in that area did have a darker color to. It seems like it’s going to help my grass.

The lawn food is kind of pellatized. It was easy to spread ( I just put it in a bucket and scooped it out with a cup). I didn’t notice any kind of smell to it when I was spreading it. I plan on putting this on the rest of the yard this weekend!.

I love the system works great and the plants have been growing out of control. On our deck its nice to roll them out of the way when we have guests over. It took me a little research to get the soil without breaking the bank.

I had to add peat moss to what I could find but that wasn’t a big problem and I saved money in the long run. The Tomato plants and peppers have been growing like they are in nuclear soil. My only issue was the black cover burned the plants when they were small.

I needed to pin the plastic away from the leaves till the plants got bigger. Since that small issue its been nothing but add water. This has been an everyday ritual, I can’t believe how much water they are using.

The system isn’t cheap but hopefully its a one year cost along with the soil. I wish they would make a larger box that could handle three rows and a little longer. Fingers crossed.

Grass responds well also, but my flowers and veggies respond well too. Grape vines are hardy but they like a little power start in the spring. Feeding vines in early spring give them a jumpstart for sweeter grapes in late summer-early fall.

I used Jobes fertilizer spikes this summer according to the directions. My tomatoes are doing very well even though I over pruned them slightly. I also used them in my container cucumber plants as an experiment.

All plants are bursting in both size and color like uncut gems! I will purchase Jobes again.

The fruit trees that these Jobes Citrus stakes were pounded into the ground around had phenomenal growth. and fruit. That was two years ago, and unfortunately Lowes does not consistently stock this product, which has probably made me consider more naturally organic alternatives.

But I have a hunch the plants really enjoyed this “candy”.

I had these spikes in the distant past. It is amazing the difference they made then and I am looking forward to using them again here. Before it woke up our trees and made feeding them so convenient.

You just hammer them in just below the drip line of the tree and the fertilizer slowly dissolves each time it rains. It works for months. These came so quickly I was really impressed.

This was an experiment for a fall/winter temporary ground cover for a slope. The grass seed germinated in 3 days the first time and 5 days the second application; second application without watering in but on moist ground.

I am happy with how fast it germinates and think that it will help with erosion over the winter. I bought too much but will continue to overseed for the next couple of weeks.

This seed arrived Monday afternoon and I planted it immediately because it was supposed to rain on Tuesday. No rain Tuesday but we had a bit of rain on Thursday, the a real soaker on Friday. It is early Saturday morning and the rye is already 3 inches high! This is my first attempt ant cover crop and so far it has been perfect.

The new applicator does not dispense fertilizer from the bottle. It starts and then stops. I I have opened 3 bottles and all dispensed about 1/4 of the bottle. I need to know how to mix the liquid fertilizer in the bottle with water.

I just bought some of the new product for tomatoes and peppers. I hope I can get the dispenser to work. Otherwise I will be mixing it with water in a gallon jug!.

I have been using this product for 2 springs, last year and this year for the remaining. Last year many flowers didn’t bloom and if they bloomed, they were small and looked burnt (especially roses). I thought I sprinkled too much, so this year I used again the remaining, and so far very little flowers.

Before I never used any fertilizer, there were flowers, but not super like youtube videos, that’s why I tried this.

Listen up if you are really interested in this product. I stumbled upon it one day and started reading reviews on it. One guy said he had lots of vegetables growing but no blooms. He bought this and boom he had blooms.

Based on that review I ordered it. As a test we tested it on my wife’s roses. 3 weeks later the side we fertilized had way way more blooms than the unfertilized side. So we used it in our vegetable garden and way at the blooms and now vegetables growing.

Great results. Using this Shake and Grow food for my Roses I feel that they were more productive than they have been in past years. I had numerous blooms on all of my plants and they continue to look very healthy.

I liked the container to be able to dispense straight to the plant. The cap is a little cocked to one side so the quality auditor in me noticed that but not bad enough that the majority of people would probably never noticed.

The printing on the package is small and a little blurry and a little challenging to read due to the textured surface. I would recommend and have recommended this product to my family and neighbors.

First and most importantly, I have to say I’ve been very impressed with Chicken Soup for the Soil. The results are obvious from a single application, and used within dosages and application schedules recommended, a noticeable boost in both healthy and sickly plants is visible within the first 24 hours after an application.

Here’s my only complaint: a gap in tiered-by-volume pricing, that puts it slightly out-of-reach for those of us in between the small backyard or closet space home-hobbyist, and full commercial growing operations.

The bulk price is quite reasonable, and the half-gallon price quite steep. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see a price point in between 1/2gallon, and 55 gallons!!! The steep cost at full retail, is still well worth it if you only need a half gallon jug or three.

But in between 1. 5 and 55 gallons, it’s a very tough cost to bear, regardless of the performance, and this is quite frustrating and disappointing. For example, I calculated that to use “Chicken Soup” for my own needs for a full season, I would need about 10 gallons.

That’s $700 + tax, in 20 separate half gallon jugs. Lots of packaging waste to boot. At least I could get free shipping and spread out the cost over the season :-/ A 55 gallon jug, however, including estimated freight to my area, would only cost slightly more…about $850 if the freight estimate is accurate.

But that’s still an astronomical added cost, for a medium-small crop that generates a very small side income at local farmers markets, and supplies me my own fresh produce at home. The twofold goal in growing my own food, is to keep costs down as well as increase nutritional value and flavor.

At my scale level, this product represents a conflict in achieving one goal, while working against the other. It’s hard to imagine storing and using it over 5 seasons would be a viable option. So every year or two, I’d have to figure out what to do with all the excess.

Could be a good problem to have, but it requires effort I’m not keen on getting involved with. I’m not here to complain without presenting a solution, because this truly is a fine product, and I hope to be able to use a lot more of it.

So I ask the fine, and in my brief exchanges quite friendly folks at Dr JimZ, to hear the plea of the small farmer, and offer some more economical mid-sized solutions: at least 3 and/or 5, perhaps 10 gallon size if at all feasible.

I think as more people are getting back to small farming to help support themselves and their families and friends, you’ll find no shortage of customers in this middle-range, and I’d happily be your first one!!!.

Dear Sirs, I’m so sorry because I never give negative feedback on products, but I splurged and purchased this product and used it exactly the way the usage directions advised me to do. I had such high expectations that this product was going to help my plants thrive and really flourish, however it did the opposite.

As I stated earlier, I applied it just as told yo do and after several weeks I applied it again. I noticed after the first application my veggies did not appear to be thriving but I figured that it would just take a little longer, so several weeks later I reapplied it.

Not once since I first started using this product did my plants look like they were getting healthier, in fact they are all looking very bad since the second application. All of my plants that were treated are now yellow-green and they are not blooming nor have any of my plants produced any veggies, except a couple of cucumbers that got to be about 2 inches long and then turned yellow and started rotting.

!! I am terribly disappointed as I was so looking forward to working in my garden thus summer. My husband recently passed away and I am on a terribly strict budget. I splurged just to purchase this product and cannot afford to waste that much money for a product that I cannot use.

I respectfully request that I be credited back $29. 99, which was my full purchase price, as not only did it not work as stated, my plants that I purchased are now dying. !! Please advise me back as to your intentions on this matter.

So, I am a first time user of Chicken Soup. I am very happy with the results. Instructions are not as clear as they should be. In “The Farmer’s Almanac” it states a teaspoon will make a gallon if fertilizer.

However, instructions included do not state anything of the sort! So what I expected to last me the whole growing season in my garden fell far, far short. The other side of the coin is this, I followed the instructions included with my half gallon container and let it brew as it suggested, stirred it every morning, and my half gallon made about 8 gallons of liquid compost.

In short it works and works great! My vegtables are growing like weeds! My corn is lush, green, and tall. My okra just four days after planting hsd already sprouted up out of the ground. I need to buy more! Potatoes, cucumbers, peas, no matter what, it grows.

This is my first year for this garden and most know that expectations should not be to high. However, this garden looks like I have been growing for years and composting my soil in between seasons. Buy this magic in a bottle.

It really is worth it.

I have spent a lot of time with my 1/2 acre lawn in the last month. De-thatched, aerated, re-seeded, and topped off the effort with Greenview Fairway Formula Fall Fertilizer. May I say it was worth the effort.

The Fall Fertilizer popped the original grass and accelerated the newly seeded. I have a uniform deep green colored lawn filling in fast. I only use Greenview products and my confidence has been repaid over several decades.

Really helped with the fall and winter time keeping the st Augustine green and healthy. The reason for 4 stars is that the application rate for my spreader listed seemed to be too low to achieve results.

The prior year I did not get the same results so I’ve bumped it up one full increment this year and that was the trick. Highly recommend to get your lawn to stay green into the cool season. (Florida).

Our yard was *seriously* struggling with both dead patches of grass and weeds taking over. We decided to uproot all of it and then reseed vs. purchasing sod for cost savings, so we thought the Sunday lawn care would be a great plan forward to ensure every step was done correctly.

We couldn’t have been more wrong. After reseeding, our weeds grew back at an exponential rate. I contacted Sunday for help from one of their consultants, and their response was “some lawns will see an increase in weeds when switching to Sunday”.

I’m sorry WHAT!? I couldn’t believe it. They gave us a free bag of seed and $100 credit towards Sunday, but at this point there’s no use in using their products. We ended up having to purchase sod in the end after all.

Moral of the story – if your lawn needs serious help, contact the professionals.
