These are a little bit brittle for our Georgia red clay. They crumbled when struck even under that flimsy plastic cap. Worked better to trowel open a hole the tap it down in. Too early to tell if the fertilizer did the trees any good or not but it hasnt hurt them at all.

Thank you for the warning review TamHat. Indeed the photo shows a 15 spike package and the pricing would indicate that is what we should expect to receive. So glad for your warning that the fine print says you will receive a 5 spike package.

Along with the fertilizer spikes, they include a thin, fragile rubber cap. The idea is to put the cap over the end of a spike, then drive it into the ground when the ground is wet and soft. The cap disintegrated after only driving in four fertilizer spikes.

So I’ll have to figure out another way to sink the rest of the spikes.

So I put these in around my maple dug in as directed per the instructions, first night some critter came and dug them all up, breaking them up in the process and apparently eating some. Dug them back in a bit deeper and next night same thing.

Third night, now we’re into a long handled shovel to really dig them in and the same thing happens again. Did this 5 days in a row until they ate them all. No idea if they work or not but apparently some animal finds them tasty.

What’s left of them now is just little bits and I have 5 pretty big holes in the lawn to repair. I’m leaving the holes open for a few more days, hopefully the genius that eats them will be finished eating them and go away.

I guess I’ll just go with “spread it on the ground” tree fertilizer and hope for the best. This is one of the most useless products I’ve ever purchased.

I was disappointed with how my evergreens were growing. The size was small and and they was not filling in. I decided to try the Miracle-Gro shrub plant food spikes. They were very easy to use. I used once in the spring and once in the fall.

By July the following year, there was impressive growth and color. The foliage was much more compact and full and the color is bright green. My neighbors have commented on how healthy my shrubs look.

I have a Japanese Fern Tree in my yard that is about 12’ tall. It has been growing fine for the past 5 years, always lush and dense. I used one spike this spring and my poor tree is almost see through! It is growing but all leaves closest to the trunk have yellowed and fallen off.

I have never lost so many leaves and they are still falling after 2 months. Unfortunately I’ve been told that the roots may have been burned and should have used a granular food. I’ve used miracle gro in my watering can but never like this.

I use this on my vegetables and fruit plants and it really makes a difference in productivity of the plant! I use a small one ounce container and sprinkle a small amount into my plant beds every few weeks.

I also add a small amount to the soil as I till it in the spring! Very cost effective and easy to use!.

Have not used product this year. No time for a garden

Really good fertilizer. I had my trees weak and was almost dying. Tried this first year in spring. There were new leaves within two weeks. I’ve been putting this every other year. The trees are lush and have grown compare to my neighbor’s.

Highly recommend.

Possibly use a tool to make a hole in soil first if soil is hard. The spikes will be difficult to hammer into hard soil beds. The trees and shrubs definitely responded well to the slow release fertilizer.

Will use them again in my yard.

Our Norway Maple ( an invasive weed tree or so we have been told ) is looking reinvigorated this spring possibly because we “spiked” it last fall. I bought more this spring knowing that they are not always in stock after the growing season is finished.

I find this method of slow discharge fertilizing to be the easiest to manage, just put a spike in each pot. We don’t have to worry about overfertilizing. Mark the point you inserted the spike with a small stake so you can verify when it’s been used up.

We also appreciate that it’s certified Organic. I’d recommend it for anyone that wants a low maintenance method for managing fertilizer.

I have been looking for these specific spikes for a out a month now. I have found these elsewhere for a lot more. This is a great price. Will buy more of they stay this price. Received them pretty fast as well.

Very happy with this product. It completely took care of further blossom end rot for my tomatoes. I intend to use it again at the beginning of next seasons planting.

This is a great product, however, this package had some broken spikes in it.

I have already seen my orchids respond to this plant food, they are much greener then they were before use and seem to be much more stout. At first I was surprised at the cost, but when I stopped and checked how many gallons of orchid food it makes I realized what a bargain it is, so I’m very happy with this product,.

My orchids love this. They are growing faster. Also use with this product … calmag and seaweed & kelp abstract. The orchids grow like weeds.

This is an easy to use granular food for summertime growth. Try it for one season and you will keep coming back. It makes a difference!

My plants look great. We have some well established plants in our yard that have been doing ok with just normal watering since we moved in a few years ago. I’ve been using this stuff for a few weeks and I can say they look better than ever.

It may be because we’ve had good weather and consistent rainfall as well, but this seems to be making a difference since i started using it.

LiquaFeed gives me great results. It is easy to use and requires no mixing of clean up especially when I only need to use a watering can to water a few things. Just hook it up to the hose and you are ready to go.

It is a simple as that. The results are excellent. After a few weeks I can see greener plants.

I bought this product for the first time 10 days ago. I had a lot of success with the indoor miracle grow and decided to give this a shot to see what it could do. Wow! It really works well. I planted in my rockery, roses, boxes, urns, and container vegetables.

I was shocked within 10 days I got tons of blooms. My geraniums in the flower boxes each had four flowers coming out on each plant. It’s easy to use. Just sprinkle and work it into the soil a little bit and water regularly.

It’s time release so that’s even better!.

My go to fertilizer. I have used this in all my flower gardens every year and this stuff is the bomb! I use this outside and I use the powder kind inside. My plants bloom like crazy. I know this stuff works.

It lasts for 3 months too! I put this all in the soil before I mulch every Spring and come summer my plants are very happy. One year I tried something different because I couldn’t find this and it was obvious this really works because that year my flowers didn’t thrive like they normally do with the Shake n’ Feed.

I live in SoCal and have citrus trees all around my backyard. I always use this to support my green babies grow. I haven’t had any issues with insects or diseases and my fruit is always delicious and juicy.

Before I bought this my avocado tree wasn’t sprouting new branches, and now it is huge! It is also easy to find and a great price.

I planted two lemon trees from Home Depot at the beginning of the year. I am in Florida and they started to not do so well, at first I thought they didn’t have enough room in the pots. I got bigger pots and added this product when repotting them.

I wanted a specialized fertilizer and found this. the bag isn’t overly large which is good for my storage area and a little goes a long way so it will last a long time and it contains everything my research online told me they require for growth so I don’t need to buy anything else.

My Mom passed away 2 years ago and I was given a camellia bush from her estate. As you can imagine, I really wanted this plant to thrive. Though it was surviving, I found it to frequently lose leaves when it shouldn’t, it looked kind of “anemic” if you will, and it NEVER bloomed.

I started using this product because I have started planting small evergreen’s, of which I have come to love. I’m not completely sure what I am doing or not dong, but usually with each year that passes I try a little something different in the way I use this.

I follow directions and lay it out by hand around the circle of the base. I like to spread out sometime in late spring, of course after last frost. Depending on how the warm season goes and amount of water, of which I don’t think I over do it, I feed twice every season.

So far mhy little ones are doing okay, but would love to see them grow about half a foot the first year.

Easy to use, timed release. Effective feeding for trees and shrubs.

I get these for my plants in both my front and back yards. Some in the front yard don’t get as much sun as the back yet are the same plants. And the ones in the back wouldn’t grow as fast it seemed or they would die quick or something.

So then I began using these miracle grow spikes in both front and back yard plants and they all last just as long as each other. They don’t die and quicker like they used to. They grow fast and live long.

These are super simple to use. Just like putting any other spike into the ground for anything! And I feel like they’re probably correct in saying it works better due to it being in the ground closer to the roots vs on top of the ground waiting to seep in.

Definitely a product I recommend.

Well had to replace item. Home got really busy with all kind of walmart related plans ideas and all out family fun. The miracle gro tree spikes i get every yr and trees are only 3 and great. 6yr old trees across st are always browning droopy or hurting.

Man will not try these MG spike fertilizers. His are half my size twice as old and always getting help. Evergreen brown limbs. Mine not once since fertilizer spikes. 1more year ill have tree fence. He’ll have tree envy no fence.
