I used this to replace the felt drawer liner in an old piece of furniture, and to put felt on the bottom of a desk plaque I made. It worked very well. In these applications, I cemented the felt to the wood with contact cement, which is quite liquid when it’s fresh from the can.

The felt is dense enough that the contact cement doesn’t seep through it, so the “show” side of the felt remains soft and dry.

Love it! the color was true and the fabric was excellent quality. there was more than enough to cover my 8 foot pool table and even do one of the rails twice. During the first game I got some complaint about how fast the table is now!! if you don’t want a fast table, better buy one of the other Felts.

The cloth is better than what was originally on my table. It’s very strong and I got a smooth fit to the table after stretching it. As a newbie, I searched for installation hints. What I found online helped a lot, but a few things were missing: – the cloth arrives with unavoidable creases from shipping.

These do not relax if you simply lay the cloth flat or even if you stretch it. – my first attempt to remove the creases was to mist them with water. The creases disappeared, but there were dark lines left in their place after the water dried.

Ironing them removed (mostly) the dark lines. – I feel the best way to remove the creases would be to turn the cloth upside down, then lightly mist the creases. That way, the dark lines wouldn’t be visible from the top and you wouldn’t have to iron the cloth.

– There are good instructions online for the sequence of stretching and stapling the cloth to the edges of the table. What nobody tells you is just how hard to stretch it. Basically, pull as hard as you can – none of us are strong enough to rip the cloth.

– Fastening new cloth smoothly to the cushions is a lot trickier and nobody tells you how. I’d suggest having 4 strong hands available. – There are diagrams online telling you exactly where to put the 6 spots on the finished table top.

If the seller had provided a sheet of good instructions on how to install the cloth on the table and on the cushions, I’d have given a 5 star review.

Have no issues with the felt every thing was cut to good size. I had alot of fabric left over for rails, I think they were cut for a table larger than mine. Looking back I should have gotten a darker color but I would highly recommend this felt to anyone refelting thier table.
