Feats are a way to further customize your character’s abilities and build. Each feat provides a small, specific benefit that can help to define your character. You can select a feat at any time you gain a level in your chosen class, provided you meet any prerequisites.
The feats available to a paladin are:
Aegis of Protection: When you use your Channel Divinity to protect someone, they gain a bonus to AC and saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier.
Blessed Healer: When you use your Lay on Hands ability to heal someone, they regain additional hit points equal to your paladin level.
Defender of the Faith: When you use your Channel Divinity to turn undead, any undead that are turned must move away from you by the shortest route possible.
Divine Justice: When you smite evil, any fiends or undead that are killed by the smite are sent back to their home plane.
Divine Soul: You can use your Channel Divinity to increase your spellcasting ability.
Empyreal Soul: You can use your Channel Divinity to increase your damage with radiant weapons.
Holy Nimbus: When you use your Channel Divinity to turn undead, a nimbus of light surrounds you. Any undead that come within 30 feet of you while the nimbus is active are automatically turned.
Radiant Charge: When you use your Channel Divinity to smite evil, your mount gains a bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls equal to your Charisma modifier.
Sacred Oath: When you take this feat, you choose one of the Sacred Oaths: the Oath of Devotion, the Oath of the Ancients, or the Oath of Vengeance. You gain the associated abilities for the oath you choose.
Sentinel: When you use your Channel Divinity to turn undead, any undead that are turned must move away from you by the shortest route possible. In addition, you and your allies gain a bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls against undead creatures.
Shield Master: When you use your Channel Divinity to smite evil, you gain a bonus to AC and saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier.
Soul of the Crusader: When you use your Channel Divinity to smite evil, you and your allies gain a bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls against fiends and undead creatures.
Stalwart Defender: When you use your Channel Divinity to protect someone, they gain a bonus to AC and saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier. In addition, you gain a bonus to AC and saving throws equal to your paladin level.
Unyielding Spirit: When you use your Channel Divinity to smite evil, you and your allies gain a bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls against fiends and undead creatures.

First of all, the artwork on this screen (front and back) is beautiful. I’m a huge fan of today’s D&D artwork. However, I’m old-school D&D and expected a DM Screen much like that from way back (3. 5 and before).
This is not that. I mean after all, this is 5e’s world now. Tons of the reference tables we were used to in 3. 5 are completely obsolete in today’s D&D. In my opinion, this screen acts more as a “reminder” more than a “quick reference”.
Many of the tables are a bit obvious to the seasoned DM. Don’t get me wrong, this screen is still a useful tool for the DM – especially if you are new to the DM experience. Did I mention that the artwork is awesome?.
Good size. Nice pic. Fair bit is useful info. Gives good cover, but can lean over easy if necessary. Arrived quickly, and affordable price. I be happy with my purchase 🙂
I bought this to replace a taller screen and it has been my go to every session! I really enjoy being able to see my players and not have to hide behind a wall. Remaining involved in the interaction between your player characters is very important, this low screen helps!.

This is a very nice item. 🙂 It is made of a heavy cardstock so it is rugged. It also works with wet,or dry,erase markers. 🙂 Its size is excellent for pretty much any encounters. One side is printed with a grass detail,while the back is a stone floor.
So you cover both outdoor and indoor encounters. If you used 3D terrain pieces with this you would have an awesome little game table :).
Needed to hit free shipping so i picked this up on sale to put me over the top. It is an adequate product, but unlikely to make it to my game bag. Pros: Nice rigid cardboard Blissfully plain to make it easier to see drawn areas Cons: Heavy Smaller than a Paizo Flip Mat by 2 squares width and 4 squares length Does not appear as durable as flip mat – i think with repeated folding and unfolding the paper will pull away from the chipboard If you need a surface and especially if you play outdoors where the rigidity would be a huge help this is an OK way to go.
I think roll up products or Paizo’s laminated product are a better bet for me.

So Curse of Strahd was one of the first books I picked up for DnD 5e and it has always stood out to me as being one of the most focussed aventures they (WotC) have released for the current iteration of the game and when I heard there was a collectors edition coming I was instantly interested.
So to start with this comes in a coffin shaped box which is huge, imposingly so almost. The components inside are mostly of the high quality that you would expect from such a premium product with the possible exception of the new, plus sized, Tarokka deck as the cards inside feel to be made of a very thin material.
There are some very nice touches and having the NPC and monster stats in a separate booklet to the adventure is certainly handy but overall the adventure is pretty much identical to the original. If you like your collectors editions and extra bits then this is well worth picking up but if that kind of thing isn’t that important then you can probably knock a couple of stars off this rating.
The last campaign I just got of was Curse of Strahd and it took a little over a year using digital resources. This is my first time seeing the physical book. Phenomenal set. Packaged and presented phenomenally.
I really appreciate having the adventure book and monster apendix as sepearte pieces. If you are going to run a campaign for the first I think you might feel more comfortable starting out with a premade game (starter set adventure, etc.
), and this would be a first “formal” campaign that to DM. The Tarokka cards are pretty good and I like that they have their own box.
No idea why they chose to make this book with a soft cover. That makes it prone to bending and warping. I like the tarokka deck, as its bigger than the original. They add postcards for some reason but they’re kinda boring and I don’t know anyone who sends postcards anymore.
The dm screen and the box is about all that is good. They should’ve put an alternate hard cover copy of the book inside instead, making it worth the price.

Excellent product. Has a total of 16 punch out tiles for your game. These are also reversible with different images on the other side. However these are selected reprint pieces (4 from each) from the following products: Ruins of the Wild (DT-4), Sinister Woods (DU-5), Desert of Athas (DU-7), and Some from the Original (4th edition) Wilderness Master Set.
I don’t mind the reprints personally, because I can ALWAYS use the extra pieces. I own the original City and Dungeon sets (the 4th editions), however, I am looking forward to owning the revisited box sets of these as well.
Oh, and for the price, even if they are selected pieces from the originals listed above, it’s well worth the price.

I got this for a birthday gift for my brother, we both love Crit Role and he DMs games when we play. He’s excited to pull some stuff from the lore and very much enjoys the book. For obvious reasons I’ve only had a few glances but everything is up to the highest standard, the art, info and presentation.
This such a great setting, with fantastically consistent lore and thoughtful writing. Whether you’re a fan of Critical Role and want to incorporate it into a campaign or just want to read for fun (it’s very immersive) – or if you’ve never watched CR and want a new setting, this is an absolutely worthy buy.
This campaign book is goin to be such a great addition to my growing D&D library. I started out by watching their ‘Might Nein’ campaign and then immediately after coming across someone from the first campaign, went and watched that.
I have fallen in love with the world of Exandria and cannot wait to get started in it!.

The minis for this else are a bit specific to be used universally. The winter theme makes them very stuck in that setting. And while there are some very great minis, I just haven’t had any luck getting them.
This may be why they are so expensive to buy individually. The Frost Maiden and the zombie frost giant are so expensive, and I have purchased 4 bricks and just can’t get them. Disappointed this time around.
I can generally collect whole sets for minis, and this time I can’t. And now I have a lot of minis for a winter theme that I may or may not use very often.
I’m currently running Rime of the Frostmaiden so I figured I’d pick one of the mini boxes up. Surprised to not only get one of the large miniatures I was hoping for from my purchase of one box (the Snowy Owlbear, what a lovely lad) but it was also a box that had 2 rares in it! The miniatures themselves were good sculpts and had good paint jobs, and they’ll likely see usage even after Frostmaiden is finished.
Probably the best brick I’ve bought. Got the cold crone, skeleton frost giant, sunblight, night hag, snowy owl bear, abominable yeti. And an assortment of commons. The only broken one was the yeti, simple glueing it back fixed it up great.

Access to the monster rules is awesome. The cards are fairly solid, which is a plus. These are about the best you could do as far as monster cards go. This is about all of the GF9 Monster and NPC cards, since I got them all in one shot and am organizing and sorting them.
Now on to the negatives: The cards are sticky and it took a while to separate all of them. Not everything in GF9’s card series has images. A few of the cards list the wrong page in the books. The Epic cards are non-standard sizes, which means if you’re using protector pages you have to get the 5×7 ones and have a huge amount of space on either side of the cards.
Both the standard and the double wide cards have effective protector page options, though. And for a fairly trivial negative: They really could have made these easier to sort, maybe with a creature type pip on an edge, correct page numbers, etc etc.
I find these cards extremely useful during my D&D sessions. They save a ton of time, eliminating flipping through Volo’s Guide and/or the Monster Manual and speeding up the game. They are easy to read and clear.
Now, regarding the artwork whiners. yes, some of the cards do not have artwork on the back. These are the monsters that don’t have artwork in Volo’s Guide. It is not due to laziness as other reviewers have stated.
Volo’s Guide doesn’t have artwork for all the monster. If they created artwork specifically for this deck, the deck would be different from Volo’s Guide. They have to match. Stop whining. The cards do exactly what they are intended to do.
A couple of the cards do not have the illustrations instead they use a generic symbol. This was very disappointing the main reason I buy these cards is to visually show the players what they are facing.
Using a generic symbol was a lazy fix when they had no existing art and not being upfront about it was dishonest. Otherwise the cards are a useful tool to easily reference.

I purchased the original version. These are the same tiles. Makes my role as DM so much easier. Players enjoy watching the dungeon build ubfold like the receeding fog of war mechanic in videogames.
Reversible tiles, varying styles and sizes, with some furniture/statues/etc. Standard grid size, matches the grid size of the map packs by Wizards of the Coast as well and have had success using these tiles in conjunction with those paper maps.
Box also doubles as impromptu terrain as it is gridded and matches the tiles as well.

This book really helps flesh out dragons and had a lot of great resources for making dragons feel like real interactive parts if your game, not just big scary monsters. Sections on motivations, goals, flaws, patrons, hoards, and personalities help you bring dragons to life, and the added lore and history help you incorporate them into your game easily.
Even the couple of new player options like the updated dragonborn race, 2 draconic themed subclasses, and a handful of new spells makes this a worthwhile addition. And there’s a ton of new stat blocks of to do just want big scary monsters (Elder Brain Dragon, Greatwyrms, Avatar of Bahamut/Tiamat).
Overall must have for DMs who want to use dragons the way they’re intended to be used.
This is an awesome book. I mean, dragons… it’s in the name “Dungeons & Dragons”. Plus if you are a fan of monk or ranger class, this is a must have. I’m a full time monk and this makes up for the lack luster monk content from Tasha’s.
Ascended Dragon has a lot of flavor. And TOTALLY makes me want to play ranger again. The Drake build looks like it might be one of the most fun subclasses for RNG. Seriously, get this book. Alt cover needed up being way more interesting than the pics make it look.

My gaming group currently consists of my roommate, my fiancee and our 10 year old. My roommate is along for the ride and will play whatever I throw at him but my fiancee and 10 year old were clearly getting bored with chasing bandits in The Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure.
LMoP had the downfall of not drawing you in with teases to the greater storyline. It starts with a goblin ambush and a frontier town plagued with bandits. Though I loved the idea of a sort of Old West type town in D&D, my girls were not so enthralled.
So I bought this. My fiancee loves horror and the kid loves vampires. I chose the first adventure hook offered in the book, having them enter a tavern in Phandalin, the town of LMoP, as a light mist drifts into the night air.
Whilst in the tavern, I ran the adventure hook and when they exited later, the mist was now a thick fog, the town of Phandalin was gone and as soon as the tavern door was closed behind them it disappeared as well.
They three were now alone on a road in the middle of the forest with a single dilapidated sign pointing West labeled Barovia. From this moment, they were hooked. Anything beyond that would be spoilers so I will just say I have scared them multiple times and we are only just in the town of Barovia, at the beginning of the book, and they are LOVING it! This adventure is so apart from any other I have read or run and has a lot of amazing moments.
The writing is superb and it ACTUALLY approaches the entire adventure as if the DM were running D&D for the first time, which I like. A plethora of useful tips, hints and information is provided here the level of which is rarely found in other published adventures.
I am thoroughly impressed and cant wait to see how my group’s story unfolds.
Best Adventure for 5E and Tabletop. Very RP heavy, there is combat(DEADLY COMBAT), in the extreme. Compared to the other adventures this one has a lot of talking and declensions you have to make compared to combat.
This is a big sandbox, so your characters could be going into a level 99 area at level 7 if you know what I mean (TPK). Its an amazing world, a demiplane, to play in and become a hero. You could also try Princess Mode or Diplomacy mode, and actually try to help the antogonist, sad story, very interesting twist.
The amount of supplemental material the online community has made for this is AMAZING. Lots of extra bits you can add to this adventure.
Great story, artwork, updated so much from the previous 2 originals which I admire as well being a Ravenloft devotee. Very nice hard cover, lot of new details, maps, characters and role playing options.
Even thou I myself stay with my crew in 2nd edition rules for most of the time, this advanture can be well played in other worlds and with various other rules which makes it an excellent piece of work for everyone.

Since I’ve purchased it, this set has been nothing but good to me. It comes in a nice velvet-lined container, and the cards and map provide an added bit of flavor.
Paladins of the West Kingdom is set at a turbulent time of WestFrancia’s story, circa 900 AD. Despite recent efforts to develop the city, outlying townships are stillunder threat from outsiders. Saracens scout the borders, while Vikings plunderwealth and livestock.

Points are gained by building outposts andfortifications, commissioning monks and confronting outsiders. Each round,players will enlist the help of a specific Paladin and gather workers to carryout tasks.
It is a great game, with nice quality. It is an excellent competitive game. You focus your time on getting victory points and not messing with your opponent’s game. And there are several ways to get VP.
It is a fine balance between luck (getting the right Palladin) and skill (doing the most effective action using what you have). However, the game does require a lot of space, and since it has 5+ types of cards in different sizes and 10+ different meeples it would be nice if it comes with a better storage solution for all the items.
My wife and I recently discovered the West Kingdom series and found this to a be a strong part of those games. We really like the worker placement of Architects, and this second game takes it in a completely different approach.
I like how the iconography from the first game is repeated here, which made it quicker for us to learn. Thank you to GameNerdz for selling at such a great price!.
Very good game, the artwork is really amazing and makes the game feel very inviting. At first the game was a little challenging, but after a few rounds in we had already composed a few strategies – trying to get the most out the workers we had been given for the round to get as much done as possible! So many strategies to explore with this game, each game you will find yourself guided down a different route by the hand you are dealt, making for an enjoyable and varied game.
Do with the insert was a little better though, there are a lot of cards! Ended up wedging the cards a bit with component bags (wooden components are excellent in this game btw) in between the cards until I bought some card boxes!.

This book is split about half and half between lore and monster stats. The lore, is primarily focused on the different races and cultures players may come across or control, as well as information on the blood war between demons and devils.
The monster half is where this book kicks off, with tons of new and interesting creatures. Both original, and variants of creatures like drow, trolls, and others. Some of my favorite creatures are the leviathan (basically the CR 20 water elemental), Nagpas (a wicked vulture-like humanoids), and the Astral Dreadnoughts, (hungry gargantuan creatures that scour the Astral Plane for things to devour.
There are a few reprints (the demon lords from OotA) but not enough to change the rating. This book is great for DM’s who are just looking for some new monsters to throw at players, as well as DM’s who want to integrate more lore and detail into their world.
This is a great book for any D&D 5e DM and player alike! Consider this a new Monster Manual, but with a bunch of new player options in addition. Mordekainen’s Tome of Foes has loads of new monsters to bring to your campaign, including a lot of unique and interesting creatures.
On top of that, there are stats for variants of existing monster types, as well as epic level enemies! For players, there’s also new racial options to make your next character even more unique! This is, in my opinion, the best official supplement book for 5e thus far.
The book information is awesome. I would caution against buying hard cover books form Walmart. They pack them in a flimsy cardboard cover and when they arrive, they arrive looking like a used damaged book.
This is the second time this has happened. The first time Walmart fixed it, as I’m sure they will again. But, fool me twice, shame on me. In the future I will pay more to not get damaged goods. Walmart SERIOUSLY needs to re-evaluate how they pack and mail hard cover books.

I have purchased a few of these recently just for the joy of painting them. Great detail and because I’m painting them for fun, I go a little wild with the colours and also practice for brush control.
I used a bunch of these to make WH40K conversions & oh man they look so good. Great mini on its own, but even better as a base for building something wicked.
I use the Arizona fleching tool (the best tool on the market for fast fletching). Can’t understand why anyone would clue one vain at a time when you can do a complete arrow in the time it takes to do one vane on other jigs.
Works outstanding for plastic, you can do a complete arrow every 30 seconds. I just recently decided to go back to feathers vs plastic vanes for the forgiveness and lighter weight. With all the spays available to water proof them make no sense to use plastic.
I had not fletched arrows in a couple years and had to get back in the groove. Out of 2 dozen arrows had to redo 3 because of my rustyness of doing them. The feathers fit tighter in the tool and you had to make sure you had seated them all the way and they didn’t pop up or slip as you were closing the tool.
Anyone who has experience fletching will have no problem. Make sure you use a cleaning fluid on the glueing surface of the feathers and arrow surface and don’t touch it again with your fingers. They will stick to anything.
Some I glued to a cresting and some to the shafts of aluminum shafts. Have not tried Carbon shafts yet but forsee no problem other than needing a new Arizona tool for carbon arrows. Highly recommend both the tool and Gateway feathers.
The Quality of both are up to customer expectations.
Feathers, from what I can tell, have always been way more forgiving than plastic vanes. One Vanes get bent or gets a ripple in them, they can cause the arrow to fly highly inaccurate. Feathers don’t have this problem.
My dad still uses a Long bow, Cedar arrows, and feather fletchings, and now I see why. Sometimes the traditional simpler ways are best. I’m starting out with a compound but hope to practice enough to use a recurve.
I bought Easton Aluminum Arrows with plastic vanes and immediately refletched them with feathers. You should try them, you’ll see a major difference!.
