20 Best Faucet Attachment Water Filter (2023 Updated)

I’ve bought two of these filters over the past year, first the plastic one, then the chrome one. They have both failed in the same fashion. Water will begin leaking and spraying underneath the plastic collar that connects to the faucet.

This isn’t an issue with the seal with the faucet, the water comes from under the collar. At first I thought the problem was the rubber washer, but you can’t buy just a replacement, you have to buy an entire new unit.

So I did. The new unit failed after about 3 months of normal use. In an attempt to reduce the leak, I tried to tighten the collar a little bit more by hand, when I did this the plastic connector that holds the collar to the unit broke, and the entire thing snapped in two rendering it unusable.

Brita seems to have purposefully designed a system with weak parts at the point of highest stress, ensuring that their products will break quickly and you will be forced to purchase another. Very frustrating that I wasted my money on this company twice.

I purchased the faucet filter system for my new apartment. I didn’t want to refill a Brita pitcher everyday, but the tap water tasted awful without a filter. The system was a game changer for 8 months, but even after replacing the filters on time, the system no longer functions as smoothly.

The knob to turn from “filtered” to “unfiltered” was easy to switch for the first two weeks, but then it got very difficult to move the knob and it makes a creaking noise. After eight months the whole system started leaking.

When I run the tap, no matter what the knob is set to, water comes out of both holes. This means the water pressure is low when washing dishes, and it takes FOREVER to fill a glass of water. Will I be buying another one? Yeah.

Am I happy about it? No. I’m quite upset that I purchased such a large pack of replacement filters, because if I hadn’t I would definitely find a different system made by a different company.

I absolutely love this. Just got it today and its already the best thing I’ve ever bought. I live in a small town less than 2k population and the tap water here is dangerous to drink. You are strongly encouraged not to drink it when moving to town by everyone living here including those at the hospital.

Drinking the unboiled or filtered tap water has caused kidney damage in people in my town. This filter has finally allowed me to drink tap water for the first time in 4 years. You can very clearly taste the difference and I can’t see myself ever going back to buying bottled water again.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on the filter to see how long it will really last before needing to be replaced.

Works as expected. Sleek design is a nice touch to our sink. It’s also very sturdy and constant use does not seem to make it flimsy. Very happy! Also, seems like ispring is a good company as Richard, a customer service representative reached out to me to see how I was liking their product.

Not something that happens often. I would highly recommended this product.

I have a well with extremely hard water, and therefore has a softener. The only downside to this setup is that sediment and salt often end up in the water, leaving it cloudy or slightly unusual tasting.

PUR to the rescue. This filter was a replacement for another brand, and I like it much better. My water is consistantly clear and tastes excellent. These filters also seem to last longer than the other brand I was using, meaning I was up keeping more money in my pocket instead of spending on filters.

I recommend this filter to anyone with concerns about their drinking water.

This is my most recent upgrade in water filtration. I kept forgetting to fill the large fridge filter and would be stuck without any filtered water let alone cold filtered water. After purchasing this, my life became so much easier.

It’s also a lot better for filling pet water bowls then my large fridge filter since I don’t have to worry about having enough in the reservoir. Delicious filtered water, at any temperature, on demand, what more can you say.

I use this product on my island kitchen sink faucet. It gives or provides refreshing water which I use for drinking and for making my coffee. Anytime when I make tea, I also use my filtered water. I can definitely tell the difference in the drinks.

To me, it is better than bottled water.

I had no problems installing it, and it’s made a huge difference in the water…but we must have the hardest water on Earth because the filter indicator is blinking yellow after 3 days! I wasn’t even using it for drinking, I have very sensitive skin & only needed it to filter the water I use to wash my hands while in the kitchen because I was getting painful rashes.

I think I used it a total of 10 times. At this point I’m considering just walking back & forth to wash them in the shower. That filter lasts 4 months with 3 people using it 2x a day. I’m legitimately considering returning because that’s not as advertised.

I usually buy the blue ones but they didn’t have them in stock. I installed this white one and let it purge for 10 min and little black specks from the filter element still came out. Let it run for another 10 min and still black chunks coming out.

Used pur products for years and love them but this filter in particular is a bad product. I wouldn’t buy this again. If you can find the blue ones get those.

I liked the ease of attaching the initial system. After that? Changing the filter is simple. It’s readily to see when it needs to be switched. The water tastes wonderful. I found two downfalls to this product.

One, the water pressure is seriously less than what you’re faucet normally produces. You definitely cannot wash your dishes with it on! Filling a container takes a while! The second is when you turn your faucet off and then switch the water back to the normal faucet, it dribbles a little.

Not a huge issue. But it happens nonetheless. It is easy to clean as well. But those couple of minute details wouldn’t deter me from purchasing it again if it broke.

The main asset of the PUR filter is ease of use. It fits practically every faucet. It doesn’t require any plumbing work, and it works very well. I’ve been using the PUR filter for about 10 years. During that time I’ve gone through 4 housings and about 20 filter cartridges.

The filter light generally turns red long before the filter actually needs to be changed. The housing requires serious force to open it and change the filter. The housing is inexpensive, so it tends to break.

That’s just a cost of using this filter. Installation is quite easy, requiring only a pair of pliers. But the adapters are plastic and they tend to loosen up after a while and leak. Consequently, PUR has available a stainless steel universal adapter that they will send free of charge for the asking.

There’s a lot of talk about water filters, because it is very difficult for a consumer to determine whether or not they actually work as claimed. All I can say is that this filter produces noticeably better tasting water than straight tap water.

And I live in an area with pretty good city water. If you want a filter that works, is easy to install, easy to use, and fairly inexpensive to operate, the PUR filter is the only one I’ve ever found.

No issues with the seller. Everything works fine and it does the job. PUR, on the other hand, needs to recognize the difference between a stainless steel finish and chrome with a slightly dull finish and a few very faint etched lines on parts of the housing.

I have been using PUR filters for a very long time, so I should have known that it is always best to look at one in a store to know if the actual appearance is what you want. I almost returned it, but figured I would just get another one that looked the same.

Not that it looks terrible, it’s just not even close to matching a stainless steel or brushed nickel finish. The picture makes it look that way.

I used Brita for 4 years, had to keep buying new unit because it dripped so much to the point it was a constant drip when i used the filter. No matter how many times i tried, i could not get it to stop dripping.

I did some research and came across this one. It was very inexpensive so i decided to give it a try. It didnt take but 1-2 uses for me to absolutely love it. The water comes out in a waterfall type fashion, which i really like, it was easy to put on and NO DRIPS.

I highly recommend trying this. It is so much better than the Brita. I wish i would have switched a long time ago.

This filter was easy to install and the water tastes good. It is smaller than the last brand I used, but the water runs through the filter faster, and each filter filters 320 gallons. It would be nice if it had a gauge that showed how much water has been used, but I’m very satisfied.

Love the filters and faucet filter system. Just bought my second one as a reserve. The original system is still working now for 2 years. Great product! Better than all the others on the market!

I have never been let down yet by the PUR brand. PUR has once again helped me save money and great drinking water. I use to buy jugs of water to put in our water cooler at home. I would always have to lug those heavy jugs around and always paying for refills more often then I wanted to.

The PUR Plus Faucet Mount Water Filtration System has changed that for me. I no longer have lug around the jugs or spend the money, so that is one big plus. The fact that I can just go to my faucet and know that great water is right there.

I have been hesitant to get a faucet filter because of how they look. When I saw this one from PUR, I really liked the modern look. All of my appliances are stainless steel and this filter compliments it wonderfully.

The filter comes with three faucet adapters so it should fit most faucets. It likely won’t fit a faucet that doubles as a sprayer, though. The water will flow like normal until you pull down on a small lever on the right side.

After flipping this down, the water is redirected to filter. I can’t really taste a difference with the filtered water but enjoy the piece of mind. The TDS (total dissolved solids) in my municipal water is very high so I wanted an additional filter to remove most of that.

Overall, very pleased!.

I bought this filter as I have done many other types. My conclusion has been that these are worse for the environment than they help. Once these degrade or break, they are not recycleable. They cannot be recycled as plastic or metal, so to the landfill they go.

The filters you have to buy don’t do much to help the environment either. Sorry to say I don’t have a solution, but if someone does please share. This particular faucet filter eventually eroded from my hardwater.

There were holes from the faucet attachment where non filtered water spewed out. There was residue of calcified white stuff around the rectangular part of the filter. Not sure the solution, but this is not it to lowering the use of plastic when the filters are non-recycleable too.

There are a ton of different ways to filter tap water – and this PUR system is probably the most simple and convenient solution. With the PUR, filtered water is available on demand – I don’t have to remember/take the time to fill a pitcher that takes up space in my fridge.

It also saves on $ spent on bottled water, and is better for the environment as it reduces the water bottle waste. It was easy to install on my faucet, and in addition to making the water taste fresher and cleaner, I love that it filters out chemicals that I’d prefer to avoid.

It’s nice that it’s available in black – as it matches the hardware finish in my kitchen. I’d say the aesthetic is pretty good – it’s a bit bulky on the faucet, but in my opinion, definitely worth it to get all the benefits of most convenient and simple approach to filtering tap water.

Nice unit. Very Stylish, Clean and Simple. I only wish that the base was a bit larger in diameter so it would cover a standard Soap Dispenser/Garbage Disposal Button cutout better. The 1/8″ overlap on the sink is a bit discomforting, but we’ll go with the flow.

I spent more time looking for a solution that had to be somewhat specific and didn’t find exactly what I was needing or did and it was very expensive or just “Not Right Enough”, than I did installing it.

Also the threaded supply tube is very long, that’s a good thing, but it’s offset towards the back and that moves the rubber and metal washers back far enough to allow about an 1/8″ on the front of the base without support or leak protection.

If I do find the mounting parts I have been looking for, I won’t hesitate to take it apart and install it in a better manner adding larger washers also. If the company offered an optional wider base that would be great.

Although I do love the water line connector which matches up with the 3/8″ OD supply tubing and all the other connectors in the system. It’s easy, quick and perfect! The whole family likes the quarter turn control handle more than the twist version we had.

It’s more natural to operate when only having to pull it towards you and I would guess that anyone with wrist or grip issues, this is a perfect solution. Once installed I was able to tighten it nicely.

It feels stable, but the “spout” part feels kinda fragile. There is a fitting on the top of the faucet that came loose easily and the spout started to feel loose and wobbly. Once I easily tightened it the spout stiffened.

It’s nice that the company it comes from is Stateside and that I should be able to easily get replacement parts for it. It looks like it’s meant to be maintained if need be. There is a rubber plug in the back of the handle instead of leaving it open and exposed which those areas usually get grungy after a while and sometimes the retaining screw is difficult to remove.

That could make taking the handle off a bit of a problem. This tells me some thought was put into the design and execution of this faucet. And the ring on the top that I mentioned before to I guess Remove/Replace/Clean the Spout or anything below it? Not being able to get parts is why I had to replace a perfectly good faucet.

I couldn’t get a “Valve Cartridge” that would fit it. So it’s comforting to be able to reach out to the maker of this faucet for parts. I trust after my initial concerns subside or I find the mounting parts that I have been looking for, things will be just fine.

Oh, and you owe it to yourself to go look at their website to see all the sinks, faucets and accessories they have. Some are truly amazing.

This is a great faucet for reverse osmosis and other water filtration systems that require separate faucets. The Kraus FF-100 Purita is simple in design, it performs its job well, which is turning the flow of filtered water on and off, the handle and valve have a solid feel, and it looks great.

The installation was simple and took all of five minutes. The FF-100 Purita is surprisingly affordable for a handsome, sensibly designed, and smoothly functioning faucet.

The design and build of the faucet is really great. However, it is missing an important piece – an adapter to connect to general water filters with 1/4″ OD (outer diameter) tube. (Though it comes with one that can connect to 3/8″ OD tubes).

It would have been great if it provided the following polypropylene- or brass-made adapter. 1/4″ compression female (FIP) x 1/4″ OD push-to-connect.

Great tasting water from these. Easy to replace. I have used these for many years and the only issue I have is that the water flow can really suck. It goes a bit like this – replace filter and flow is good, replace next time and flow is bad.

I have found a ratio of 1 with good flow to 3 with bad flow. These filters are not cheap and it annoys me that the results vary so much. This 3 pack is a good price though. I do not know if they remove all they say and that is taken on trust.

If I ever come into some money I would love to have a water test commissioned to see what is actually being removed. I do recommend them as they take out any bad tastes and appear to work as advertised.

Seems totally legit. I’m not sure why some people thought they were fake. I observed the water going from cloudy to very very clean. It tastes very clean. The box and wrappers were correct. So I’m happy with the product.

In my case they were the real product. I think the price is somewhat fair considering the state of things. If your filter is starting to clog, run really hot water through it. That seems to clear my filters so they are usable again.

You might think that’s illogical but it works for me. The water comes out very clear after. It says it doesn’t filter microbes, so you will need a sawyer filter to use after. Always double filter with pur then sawyer if you can, if you want a good method.

Don’t purchase. Not authentic Pur filters and don’t work. Did not come in Pur packaging, so I knew something wasn’t right. Put first filter in and could tell water wasn’t filtering. Thought it was maybe a defective filter.

But got the same result with another. Thought our faucet attachment needed the o-ring replaced. But that wasn’t the issue. Don’t waste your money on these. Rip-off.

This is the first time I write a product review in my life! I bought (twice) a 3-Stage under Counter Water Filtration System with Faucet in Brushed Nickel from Home Depot in December last year. Before I bought the first one, I did read the reviews and was a little bit worried when people talking about leaking issue.

I bought it anyway since I thought it was easy to install and maybe the people who reported leaking issue got the defect ones. I tried to install the system about a week after I got it. I watched the how-to-install-video online (provided by aquasana) and followed it.

Soon I found down the connector between the water line and the system (through the brass tee included) is not a good one. Water ran out since the pin (included) inserted into the tube could not stand for water pressure and got pushed out when I turn on the water valve.

I tried an hour or so before I brought the system back to Home Depot. A week later or so I decided to buy this product again since it was on sale and I thought ( again) maybe my first one was a defect one.

I installed it, the water still ran out at the same place as the first one. I played for a while and eventually I managed to make it stop leaking. However, the leak can come back easily anytime I accidentally touch the tube (which connects the water line to the system).

If it happened, I kept pushing it until it stop. Until last month, i heard some beep sounds, I knew that it’s time to replace the filters. But since I did not use the water much, maybe a few gallons at most per week, I thought it is OK to use it for a few more weeks.

Then suddenly it stopped working. No water comes out when turn on the faucet. I tried to fix but could not success. I contact the customer support and they said I need to replace the filters with no explanation why (I doubt that is the reason since I removed all the filters from the system and the water still did not come out).

Even worst now the leak at the connector keeps going back and I can’t manage to make it stop like before.

It has been a few weeks since I received the filter, and it has been a mixed bag so far. Installation has not been as easy as it seemed: like half of households, plumbing under my sink was 1/2 inch instead of 3/8.

Aquasana makes no mention of it on its website, and their customer service was clueless. An employee at Home Depot took pity of me and hooked me up with an adapter and new cable, so I was able to install the filter myself after a lot of time spent doing research myself (again, absolutely no troubleshooting or support provided by Aquasana for this very common situation).

After 2 weeks of happy usage of the filter, one of the cables detached on its own while I was out, resulting in a water leak of about 150 gallons in my kitchen floor. I finally resigned myself to hiring a professional plumber to do the work.

Several plumbers refused due to their insurance, some asked for a fortune, finally one came to do the install, and provided his own adapter for 1/2 to 3/8. To be frank, I am still anxious that the Aquasana cables (which are not attached but just pushed into the filter machine) are going to detach again, but I will give it a last chance before returning the machine.

I am just in disbelief that the company is unable to provide such basic information for installation, and doesn’t have a network of certified installers for those having difficulties. On a side note, the water tastes great and the flow is satisfactory for the needs of a water-drinking family of four.

We replaced an older AQ 4601 2 stage filter with an AQ 5200 2 stage filter today. The older unit was 8 years old and worked well until recently, springing a leak at the tubing joining the two filters at the bottom.

Parts to effect a repair were no longer available. The new unit has several differences. It appears that the procedure for changing filters is much easier, and the routing of water lines is simpler with a single line connecting to the dispensing faucet( the old unit had three lines) and a single supply line, making the installation much easier.

The new design faucet does not drip after the valve handle is shut off unlike with the older faucet which was a complaint by some in the past. Unfortunately, the new dispensing faucet is a much less substantial piece of hardware weighing about half or less compared to the old design and does not have the quality feel that is obvious in the older unit.

I am hopeful this new unit will be durable, resistant to leaks, and prove easy to replace filters, but would have preferred a more substantial dispensing faucet unit. Time will provide the answers.

I didn’t install it, my husband did but he said it was simple. I was excited cause he’s not a very handyman. Anyway, I can hardly believe the big, big difference in the taste of the water. No more buying plastic water bottles which I recently learned is pure poison.

I’ll be saving a lot of time and money. My husband also stated it’s excellent quality too.

I bought this to replace a rental reverse osmosis unit. I am very pleased so far. This unit was very easy to install. I did it myself in about 10 minutes. The water is clear and sparkly. The chlorine odor is gone and the taste is much improved from the tap water taste.

Nice budget choice.

We’ve had this installed for about a month and it is working great. I can now wake-up and drink the water from the bathroom sink where the older pipes in our house were worrying me, the water tastes and smells better.

Now I wish there was one for the hot water side when washing my face!.

This item requires soaking in a bowl of water before using. It then requires one to run the tap after installation for a good few minutes to clear out the dust in the filter. Not running water through it before using results in an “odd” taste to the water.

Otherwise, the product works fine. If it is not replaced regularly, as per the instructions from Brita, it will clog up, and thereby reduce the water flow.

These are super easy to install. There is an indicator on the system that tells you when to change it. It’s super convenient. I find the taste of my water to be completely different between the filtered water and the tapwater.

Definitely recommend this system if you’re looking for filtered water at home.

We have this as our filtered drinking water at the kitchen sink. It works great, good output and looks nice with our main faucet which is also brushed nickel. Works just as well as the expensive ones & looks great!.

Great little water dispenser. I was looking for a modern design that matched my curved bridge faucet. This works great and does not take up too much space at the sink. The small/narrow faucet does make the water really shoot out of it, but I don’t find this to be a “con” since it makes filling up water bottles super quick.

I love this water faucet for our RO system. It matches our Kohler faucet. I just wish the counter top attachment was a bit more secure but the sizing is not the standard countertop hole.

I am obsessed with my Britta. I always used my pitcher but it became very dreading when I had to fill it up and wait for my water to get cold. The process was very blah. So when the the pandemic hit I had just had a newborn and water was another thing that was flying off the shelves so I invested in this as well as another pitcher so that I wouldn’t have to worry about not finding water for myself and children.

This is a game changer. I love it 👌 ten out of ten recommend. And I love that theirs a light that tells you when you need to replace the filter.

Got replacement filter on 12/1/2021. Been using faucet filter system 10+ years now. Filtered water tastes better and for coffee to. Used to live in a studio apartment. Water lines 100+ years old stuff in the water glad I bought faucet filter system.

Filtered water also good for pets. You can taste the difference. Only thing green light does not last long. But great product though.

Convenient, does the job, easy to service, but has two problems. One is a minor annoyance: the “filter indicator” light may not reset when you put in a new filter. When you remove the old filter, a little plastic tab in a slot inside the filter compartment is supposed to pop up, but it can get stuck in the slot.

The tab is about 1/2 inch wide and 1/16 inch thick, and it’s at the same end of the filter compartment as the plastic fitting that engages the outlet at the end of the filter. Look in with a flashlight and you’ll see.

It’s easy to free up the tab–gently press the tip of a blunt table knife against it and try to wiggle the tab back and forth a time or two, and let the knife slip off the tab, and the tab will pop up.

Easy to get the hang of it; works for me. The more serious problem is that water pressure that is too high can damage the body of the filter, causing leaks. Our pressure is sometimes higher than 100 PSI, way too high.

My crude workaround is to turn the valve on the filter just far enough that only some water flows through the filter, while most is pouring out of the faucet. This reduces the pressure that the filter itself sees.

Takes some practice to get the hang of it, but has has prolonged the life of the unit for more than a year. But be careful–just one exposure to high pressure lasting a few seconds is enough to make it leak, and when that happens, you’re sunk.

Why don’t I just get a plumber to install a water pressure reducer/regulator? That’s a different story.

I got this purifier for a couple of reasons. The first being because we have a well. This purifier made our water taste like the bottled kind! We knew we had minerals and sediments in our water because of all of the deposits on our faucets, shower and sinks.

This makes all the difference! Installation was extremely simple and changing the filter looks simple as well even though we haven’t had to do that yet! There’s an indicator light on the unit for when the filter needs to be changed.

The second reason I got it was to hopefully eliminate all of the bottled water bottles that we were recycling. So far this item has done exactly what we hoped for… improve the taste of our drinking water and help with the environment.

Would recommend you try it to see if you achieve the same results we have!.

Ive been using Pur for a long time and trust the quality of the filters. My only problem is with the faucet attachment which I’ve replaced a few times – its always the same problem: when I change out the filters the reset light stops working after a while.

BUT I finally figured out the hack to reset it. I use a clean toothpick and coax the reset button to pop out inside the filter casing thats mounted to the sink. Voila.

We got this for our camper and it works great. This tip was not in the instructions but was required: When installing the piece that goes into the faucet, tighten it with a flat head screwdriver by inserting the screwdriver into the slots on the inside of the piece.

When the filter is turned on, the water flow is much slower, which is expected. There was a huge difference in the water taste before and after the filter was installed. We will definitely keep a filter in our camper.

Once opening the box, the item appeared new however after careful inspection the item was either used or returned from being defective. I was disappointed because an older model Culligan brand water filter which was less expensive (level 2) seemed to produce a better quality of water.

In level 2, I never got noticiable black charcoal like rocks in my water. Never again! I will try PUR brand next time or shop from a different retailer altogether.
