20 Best Fat Tire Beach Cruiser (2023 Updated)

I use this bike for my main transportation within the city. I choose a fatbike because I didn’t want to put it away for the winter. So far I have ridden this in all the snow storms and ice storms we had this year and it seems to get me through better than what I see cars can on the road.

The back derailleur cable is very exposed to the weather and I had it rust and frey on me in a very short period of time. Canadian Tire was nice enough to get that replaced under warranty and upon request swapped it out with a fully sleeved cable so the issue doesn’t repeat.

The breaks are okay and work, disc brakes tends to work better in winter riding than the traditional type because less road garbage gets on them. Now this is a low cost bike, most fat bikes I see start at least 3 times the price so part quality on this bike reflects what you pay but IMO it is not a rip off.

You do get what you pay for. Great for an all weather city bike though I would never recommend a super budget cheap bike to handle hard off road mountain bike trails. Overall it is not hard to ride and the large tires don’t make it too much harder to ride than a hardtail mountain bike.

A bike with front shocks makes a far larger difference in difficulty. You also don’t really need either front or back shocks on a fat bike because of the cushion the tires gives. I don’t have to watch as hard for pot holes in the road.

I have been riding it every day so far since I got it early june 2018 and I am pleased with this bike so far. I gave 5 stars instead of 4 because of how Canadian Tire changed the cables to more practical cables for me under warranty!.

With 240km on this bicycle, I feel confident enough to finally write a review about it. I purchased this bicycle to replace my daily commuter which broke a spoke. Before anyone even thinks about purchasing this bike I would advise spending a few mins on google researching the pros and cons of ‘Fat Bikes’ such as trying to find a wide enough bike rack or fender.

Now onto the bike itself it very heavy but is a lot lighter than it looks. The frame is steel so I wouldn’t recommend leaving it exposed to the elements. I would also recommend putting a little anti-seize or some sort of grease on the seat post to help prevent it from getting stuck in the frame from rust.

At 86km the right side cup of the bottom bracket started to come loose causing a very very annoying click noise while pedaling. I refuse to wait for a week for the contracted bike mechanics to have it fixed and since I had a crank puller and BB lockring wrench I fixed it myself and regreased the bottom bracket.

At about 120km I noticed a little side to side play in the rear wheel and had to adjust the bearing cones. These two issues are not from CTC assembly(they only install the front wheel, handlebars and pedals) so I recommend you either go over this bike yourself or go to a local bike shop and have them do a once over on it to make sure everything is tight and adjusted.

The disc brakes have ample stopping power but I’m not sure if it’s just mine but are ungodly noisy under heavy braking no matter how perfectly they are adjusted and bedded in. However, they aren’t some proprietary type of caliper and use the Shimano XTR style pads so you can go for a more quiet material pad.

I’m not a fan of the grip shifter but it works and has no issues other than I can’t shift when it’s raining or my hands are sweaty. The seat isn’t the most comfortable but is adequate. For accessories and parts as of writing this review, you will have to go to an actual bike shop because CTC does not stock any parts for this bike and it will get expensive.

For example, 2 new tires are 80% the cost of this bike. Minor issues aside this bike is great fun and isn’t too bad as a commuter and can go just about anywhere. I get a compliment about the bike at lease once every day.

All in all if I had to I would purchase this bike again I would in a heartbeat.

This bike rocks! Began seeing fatbikes and did some research after initially thinking , Meh, they look waaay heavy, can’t be any good! I ride a Specialized FSR and to me it was the best bike ever, UNTIL.

I decided to get into this fatbiking craze with one of these Schwinn Biggity’s. I have not ridden the Specialized with skinny tires since buying this fat bike. Absolutely love it. To be honest I bought it to see how it would ride on the snow as the ground is covered with the white stuff up here in Canada for 6 months of the year.

What a blast it is on snow. It’s not the best bike out there or the lightest, but it looks cool and is comfortable and it pedals extremely easily, which was the first comment my wife said about it! Mines weighs 43lbs and I have made a few mods.

I replaced the twist shifters with Shimano rapid fire trigger changers, and added a 22 T inner chain wheel, now it climbs walls! This was easy to do. I drilled 4 holes in the existing chain ring and bolted the 22T ring on.

You have to manually change the chain however if you need the smaller chain ring, just depends where you ride. Experiment with the tire pressures to get them right, I had to set the derailleur up correctly, it works awesome now.

Once the cable operated disc brakes have “bedded in” they work well. I’ve ridden this fat bike every week on the trails for the last 6 months and nothing has broken, I ride fairly hard too. I’m getting another for my wife! Get one, you’ll love every minute riding it.

Bicycle arrived with chips in paint and scratch on seat. Chips were touched up (poorly) with black paint which is proof they happened before shipping. It is a nice bike but I would not buy from this seller (Firth Sports) again.

The style of the Bruiser got me. I’m thinking of getting the single speed but ultimately chose the 7 speed variant because I like options in speed and I’m going to use it as my daily commuter. So far it’s been a great experience with the bike.

It’s been 6 months since I bought the bike and it’s holding on quite well. It rides smoother than ever. I like the wide bars and the fat saddle that came stock with the bike. It’s really a good commuter bike and I like the style very much.

I bought this bike in the light blue version last year so that I could get into better shape while enjoying being outside with my family. I’m a big girl and needed a sturdy bike that could hold up to my weight while also making it easy to want to ride so I don’t give up.

This bike is all of that and more. After not riding a bicycle for nearly 20 years, I got on this guy with so much anxiety but that quickly went away while riding. It took a few tries to get the gears right so they didn’t skip or throw the chain off but now it rides unlike any bike I’ve ever owned.

It is smooth, sturdy, and so easy to ride. I live in the mountains with harsher landscapes to ride in and this beast goes everywhere I have taken it. I can ride it in the snow, sand, mud, and dirt with ease and I don’t tire for quite some time riding this.

It shifts gears smoothly and has double disk brakes that stop well. I still need to fine tune the brakes a bit but am learning more on bicycle maintenence to get this guy in perfect riding order. I am having a blast with this bicycle and am very happy with my purchase!.

Out of the box this bike is solidly built, easy to put together with minimal tools, and can be ridden in its stock form, as long as you understand its a heavy entry level bike made for street or Rails/Trails rides.

I took everything apart and cleaned/greased/adjusted the hub and bottom bracket bearings. They come a little tight from the factory. I had issues with the bottom bracket bearing race, where it collapsed, damaged beyond repair.

It was properly adjusted and greased, I have no idea what happened. At that point I started to upgrade. At this point all that is stock is the frame, fork, and wheels. These components are incredibly strong and stable, fitting my 511 frame well.

I have put a lot of money into this steel framed beast, and its been fun. If you are looking to do more advanced trail rides, or a better platform, the ALX if a great place to start, but will cost you more money.

This was a 300. 00 USD bike before covid hit.

So. I am a 60- year old casual biker that rides for enjoyment and the cardio workout. I own a dozen bikes from very nice road bikes to mountain bikes and every type in between but had never owned a Fat bike.

I saw people riding them in Northern Michigan where we own a vacation home and I do a lot of riding. A typical exercise run will be 40-50 miles on a road bike or flat bar road bike depending on the terrain.

When I saw these bikes I was intrigued but quickly found out the price of entry seemed to be $1000. Many ride them in the Winter snow here in Michigan but I get too cold being of slender build and only 140 lbs.

I just wanted the cool look of the fat tires and potential to ride on loose gravel roads at home in lower Michigan where I ride in the evenings for exercise. Not wanting to waste money in case I did not like the “fat bike ride” I thought I’d gamble on this cheap Mongoose.

For $180 definitely worth the money. Thing weighs a ton but I get the same workout as my road bike at about 2/3 the distance travelled. I’m not a fan of twist grip shifter but it works. Disc brakes don’t work well so could never ride this on a mountain bike trail with steep descents and the need to decelerate quickly but I am just on paved/ gravel roads with 20 degree max hills so you need to begin braking early.

I added some old pedals with traps from another bike I had since my feet kept slipping off the stock pedals. Also changed grips to a pair with the flats on them to reduce hand numbness. The handlebars are wide so I slid the grips 1.

5″ inboard on each end to narrow up the arm stance. Lastly I swapped to a more comfortable seat. So I have taken it on 5-6 exercise rides so far and I love it. I sure get a workout much harder to keep moving than my road bike but I feel much safer when I hit that patch of loose gravel.

Very stable. I use all 7 gears and they are adequate. I’m keeping the bike. Adding it to my stable. Might even take it up north and try it on the Lake Michigan beach some day!.

Both rims on bike were not true, I am a pretty good bike mechanic, I had a spoke wrench, and I could not true them. As a result, the brakes did not work properly, they rubbed on the rim high spots all the time.

Also, derailleur was not adjusted right, it would not shift into low gear. I emailed Firmstrong Help and they reacted immediately and had me go to a local bike shop to get rims trued and derailleur tuned.

They paid for it! I was impressed, I did not even ask them to pay. Bike works perfectly now. So this bike would be a 3 star if Firmstrong had not taken action, it is now a 5 star bike. Bike now works perfectly, it is very smooth, perhaps the smoothest riding bike I have ever owned, the steering is great, I love the cruiser handlebars, since the allow me to ride upright instead of bent over like some hunchback.

and the saddle is very wide and comfy for my large butt. If you are into comfort, this is your bike! I am tired on those bikes where you have to lay flat on top of them and your butt is so sore from those horrible hard seats you cannot even enjoy the bike ride.

I was nervous purchasing this online, unseen in person as a gift for my boyfriend. I couldn’t be happier! I purchased it in matte black and not only is it a really gorgeous bike that is the perfect mix of retro and “manliness,” but it also rides extremely smooth.

I originally purchased this bike 4 years ago. When it was recently stolen I had to get a replacement right away. Customer service was great and even honored their expired sale price. It’s a very comfortable bike and having a couple gears makes it easy to cruise around the neighborhood.

Ever since i’ve owned this bike I get constant positive feedback from everyone I come into contact with. Just recently I took it to a bike shop to have a rack mounted on the back and even avid riders remarked on how nice the bike looks.

I love it!.

I purchased 2 e-bikes from Electric Zip and I must say these are like my title line says. better than expected. I was and still am very impressed with the quality of these bikes. I ride it everyday with a smile and can’t wait to take it for a ride.

Being able to go 3 times farther than I would on a regular bike is a plus all in itself. When I saw all the buttons and LCD screen I thought it was going to be a little confusing. Not at all. Very easy to use and fun to shift gears and adjust the PAS.

I had to make a few small adjustments on the front brakes but that was easy as well and you get a nice tool kit to do what you need. I love this bike and have told all my friends and co-workers about them and to buy them from Andrew at Electric Zip.

I have to be honest, I actually thought this may be a scam site, so I did some research before purchasing. It just seemed too good to be true. Still not sure exactly what I was in for, I could not believe it was shipped and delivered so quickly! The package was delivered in perfect condition.

I was also very impressed with the detail in packaging. Not a scrape or dent anywhere. Putting it together was not as easy as the video makes it look, but it’s still very doable with 2 people. I also had to refer to both the video and the paper instruction to fill the gaps on my particular model.

Took it for a ride as soon as I could, and was beyond impressed. It’s a very solid bike and rides very smoothly. Everything works perfectly. They use great parts on this bike, they definitely didn’t cheap out on it.

My model gets a lot of looks. I call it the Hummer bike. 🙂 I have easily had it up to 24mph with assist. Over a month later and I am still loving this bike. I have been over 25 miles with assist and have not lost one cell in battery life.

I am disabled, and can no longer ride a regular bike, because of the pedaling, ( especially up hill). My wife has arthritis, and wanted us to start bike riding, to see if it would help her. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to ride a regular bike, so I was looking on the internet and found electric zip.

They had very similar electric bikes, as all the other different companies that I found, but they had much better pricing. I checked out all the different models, and decided on one to try out. I picked the 300 watt electric nakto mountain bike, and I thought that if it worked for me, it might work for my wife as well, just in case she had problems with her arthritis.

When the bike arrived, I put it together, which was very easy, and put the battery on charge. The next day I decided I would try out the bike, and it more than exceeded my expectations. I did a 5 mile bike ride in 40 minutes, and there were several hills.

It took me about 3 miles to actually figure out what all the, “extra”, things, that are not on a regular bike, do. This thing is incredible, and it will really scoot down the road. It has more power than I thought it would have, and it sure makes “riding”, a bike, a whole lot easier.

We haven’t tried a longer bike ride yet, (together we’ve only been about a mile), but it looks like I’ll more than likely be getting another electric bike, for my wife. She likes the way my bike works, but she doesn’t like the bar, that are on men’s bikes.

I’ve shown her the women’s bikes that electric zip has, and she found one she likes, so I guess we’ll both be riding electric bikes soon. If I had to say anything negative about the bike that I got, it would have to be that the seat is not very comfortable.

I can get a different seat for it though. The overall experience though, from searching electric zips website, to riding my bike, has been fairly painless. The price for my bike was high to me, (I’m disabled and on a very tight budget), but it was still, “HALF”, the price of the next cheapest electric bike, that was like the one I bought.

It’s a good thing that I could pay for it, using Affirm, or I wouldn’t have been able to afford it. Now I just hope that it will last me the rest of my life. Plus, I still have to get one for my wife, so we’ll have to tighten up on the budget even more, for at least a year.

All in all, I would have to say, that the electric bike purchase was worth it for me. After receiving my bike, and really checking it out, it even looks better built, and has better features, than some of the same type bikes, being sold by other companies, and electric zip is half the cost.

This is my 3rd electric bike. For the price, It is outstanding. The front suspension is heavy duty (like a motorcycle). Additionally you can slightly under inflate the tires for a smoother, more “shock resistant” ride (although slower).

I like to go fast so i keep the tires firm. This thing works great in dirt and gravel. BE CAREFUL tho if you’re a novice, as hitting the brakes on loose terrain WILL put you down. It’s quick, with prompt reaction if you set it up well.

Aggresive style turns heads. Now they just need to come out with some accessories (heavy duty luggage rack/passenger seat please). A+ Value and performance.

I bought this jacket mid-October after doing some research on the Fjallraven Raven M jacket. It’s a well made jacket with tough stitching and durable zippers/buttons. This jacket is a shell type jacket meant for going over a sweater in the winter.

They’re sized a bit bigger than normal so where I usually fit an XL I ordered a L and it fit perfectly, I’m 5’10 at 190lbs with broad shoulders. The jacket is a bit pricey but you’re getting a top shelf jacket for what you pay.

It has a semi-tailored look and looks great as well! It’s tough to find Fjallraven in Western Canada so I ordered from Mountain Steals and the shipping was speedy and the customer service reps were very helpful! Would recommend ordering this jacket from Mountain Steals 10/10.

Purchased in Matte Red. Single speed gets me around town or up and down the hard pack beach. Comfortable saddle. Bike arrived in perfect condition due to solid packaging. Easy assembly of front wheel, handle bars, saddle and pedals.

Purchased from another source white fenders, a red basket, and red cup holder, all of which add to the appearance and functionality. Expect several years of cruising enjoyment from my new Firmstrong Urban bike.

I am incredibly satisfied with my Firmstrong purchase! The bike for one is absolutely stunning. It turned out better than I envisioned and the matte brown really has a gorgeous shine to it. More than thankful to receive a tool kit for the bike as well.

If I had one thing to address it would be the bike handles. The foam-like handles can wear and tear rather quickly, but I will be buying another in the future.

This is a very solid built mountain ebike. It takes around 60 miles of mountain trail riding to break it in, and to learn how to manipulate the large size and weight. Most trail riding only needs level 1 speed selection and use of only 1st or 2nd gear to stay within an easy 12 mph.

Some of the quirks: I had to readjust (provide more slack) to the shift cable to get it to shift into 7th gear. Standard screw adjustments wasn’t enough to do the job. The power assist will just shut off from time to time, but the display is still up.

In order to correct the issue I have to reboot the system by shutting off the power and then turning it back on again. This is not a good issue and a bit dangerous when your relying on the power assist to get you up a sudden set of steep mountain trail hills or a set of camel humps when traversing a gulley.

You also have to be careful of the front wheel lock position. I had the wheel lock catch some trail debris and unlock causing the front wheel to come loose very quickly. Something to inspect from time to time while trail riding.

I noticed just a little side to side play in the back wheel. I’m not sure if this is normal with the rear hub motor. I don’t seem to have this play with my Rad Rover or Ride 1up ebike. I also notice a little up and down play in the shock for the rear suspension which appears to be coming from slack in the lower bolt for the shock.

I don’t know if it is normal to have this play, but i can see this issue as leading to premature wear of bolt and housing around it. A possible fix may be to install a rubber grommet in the lower shock tube hole to provide a snugger fit around the bolt to eliminate the play excessive play.

I notice it to be a bit jerky with the power assist, but I’m hoping this will smooth out as I further break the bike in. The taillight is good, but it would be even better if it was tied into the bike battery as is the headlight.

and it would be even better if it responded to braking. This feature is very helpful when trail riding at night as a group lead. It would be worth paying a reasonable amount more for this feature. I would like to see the sell of spare batteries, controllers, and other replacement parts be made available on your website in the future.

Besides that, I’m overall very happy with this mountain e-bike. Acceleration, braking, handling, and ride comfort is very good considering its size.

I’m a heavy guy working on losing weight. I needed a better form of exercise because arthritis in my knees limits my aerobic activity to walking or elliptical and those exercises were no longer giving me desired results and were dreadfully boring.

Add to that the rising fuel costs and I took a chance with the eBike. This is now my daily commuter. 11 miles each way every day. The pedal assist gets me to work just about 10 minutes longer than by car, and I am energetic every day and look forward to the ride rather than dreading morning traffic.

I bought the Aventure because I’m a heavy guy with lots of work tools to haul. The payload on the Himiway is 400lbs so it is more than capable of maintaining rocket speeds while hauling me and my equipment.

I added the optional rack and bought a set of saddle bags and it carries everything great. It’s so nimble for a fat tire bike that I dont even notice the extra weight. I use it to go everywhere now, groceries runs, work, errands, and of course just for fun.

Recently purchased 2 Cobra EBikes for my wife and I. These bikes are awesome in comparison to other bikes on the market. We reviewed and test drove several other foldable bikes and none of them compared to the Himiway Cobra on performance and ease to ride.

Absolutely the most comfortable ride. More power than we will ever need. When designing this bike, I think they took into consideration the first time buyers as we are. Easy to assemble and get up and riding.

The foldable capability is one of the most rigid set-ups in comparison to others we looked at. It is well built! We did run into a small issue with the seat height for my wife. She is just barely under the minimum height and needed to get about 2 inches lower.

I contacted customer service and they offered me a shorter bar. I couldn’t ask for any better service than that. We should be receiving our bar in the near future which will really make my wife happy.

She will be able to ride without the fear of having to lean the bike to stop. Kudos to Himiway and their employees for a great bike and customer service.

Boom! and Just like that it was over. There I was riding my newly bought electric bike from TopRideElectric. Riding 15mph trying to hit the 20mph mark in my home town Granite Falls,North Carolina in the cycles-lane.

Zooming pass every car on the road and every person walking by well A few yell “nice ride” as I pass them by. It was a beautiful day it rain slightly but not enough to let a day off go to waste. So as I was saying I just was about to hit the 20mph mark and then Boom! a car pullout right in front of me from no where and I rammed right into her.

By the grace of God I was OK but I can’t say the same about my bike. It was destroyed and to be honest I was crushed all that money I spent was gone. Just in a snap and while I was mourning the loss of my investment i remembered I got an extended 2 year warranty that covers accidental damages with just a few pictures I contact TopRideElectric and file a claim and within a week they had me covered and back on it road again.

I like buying bikes from Upzy. Reason, there bikes ship out quickly when in stock. Their stock status shows current levels of inventory unlike some companies. You place an order, it shows stock item but they don’t have it in stock.

There website I don’t care for. It has too many pop-ups. The Discovery is an excellent bike once assembled correctly. Here is a list of problems I have during assembly. 1)The accessories in the accessory box are scattered within the main carton and have scratched the bike.

The accessory box needs to be taped closed. Every bike received has had the accessory box ripped apart and the accessories scattered Inside the carton which scratches the main frame and rims. 2) The mechanical battery connector is broken due to over tightening at the factory.

3) The display comes scratched and cloudy from residue inside the module. 4) some bikes I have received didn’t work at all. With all said when this product is completed and everything is fixed it is a beautiful bike.

I’m very meticulous on bike setup and capable of repairing all issues. I have assembled many different brands and they all come with various problems. All in all this is an excellent bike. David.

I’ve been eyeing the fat tire bikes for a while, starting with the single speed, then going to the 7 speed. At specialty bike shops, they start at about 800 dollars and go up to 2000 dollars. Yeah, aluminum frames, a little lighter, but overall, not a huge improvement over this one I just got for 184 clams! I’m not going to be a professional rider, I just want to cruise the streets and the beaches on the island I live on.

I worked at a specialty bike shop while in college as a bike mechanic and know the differences between cheap and quality. I didn’t really expect much for this price, but was shocked by what actually arrived! The frame is steel and a bit heavy.

The handlebars, stem and seatpost are aluminum. I had this bike assembled and fine tuned in less than 45 minutes. The Shimano shifter and derailleur perform excellent with gear indication accurate. The wheels are true and everything fit perfectly.

I even checked the wheel bearings for grease and while it was present, I’ll add my own a bit later and recommend you do that as well. The bearing pre-load on the front hub bearings felt a bit tight, so I loosened it so it was smooth with zero play.

The rear seemed fine. The rear derailleur required minor adjustment to get in to the top cog (low gear) but only took seconds. The brakes require more time. Check the caliper alignment so there is an equal gap on both sides of each rotor.

Run all of the adjustment ferrules to the bottom and take up the slack with the cable clamp. Due to cable stretch and pad break-in, several future adjustments may be required until they reach equilibrium.

Do an overall check of all fasteners for tightness and BE SURE to tighten both the handle bar stem to the fork tube AND the gooseneck clamp to the stem itself. I didn’t do the second one, not realizing it was loose and it almost dumped me on the first ride when the bars went 90 degrees from the wheel as I pedaled! Whoooopseeee.

This is a great bargain! I’m extremely happy with the quality for my purposes and unless you’re some sort of aficionado, this is the way to go! Besides, stuff rusts at the beach where I live and to see a 2000 dollar bike crust over would kill me!.

My husband and I started our full time RV living/working remotely journey 9 months ago and travel to new locations every 4-6 weeks. I knew I wanted a bike to enjoy in the RV parks and for our exploring adventures that allow biking.

I had a nice hybrid bike that I had to sell because I developed carpal tunnel and the pressure on my hands leaning down to the handlebars made biking very uncomfortable. I’m also a plus size woman so I took all of this into consideration when researching the right bike for me.

I found the EVRYjourney, and it met all my requirements, and it did not disappoint. I LOVE this bike. The cruiser style fits me well, especially the handlebars, and it was easy to assemble and adjust so that I ride comfortably.

The seat is even comfortable, and I’ve never had a bike before where I didn’t immediately order a new seat. I added the lift off basket and rear rack bag to have plenty of storage for biking essentials and purchases.

We recently biked the 8. 2 miles around Mackinac Island and my EVRYjourney made the ride so easy and enjoyable. I highly recommend this bike if you are looking for comfort, style and great quality.

I bought this bike to try to get in better shape. The reason I wanted an electric bike was because I wanted to push myself and then use the electric only to ride back if I pushed myself too far. Plus I needed a way to get back home to accommodate multiple musculoskeletal issues that I was afraid would leave me stranded and struggling to return on a manual bike.

I haven’t rid a bike in years so I was hesitant to spend this amount on a bike I hadn’t test driven and I lacked confidence in my physical ability as I have multiple disabilities. First off this bike has changed my life.

I started off riding a couple miles and being tired. After a few weeks I was up to 5 miles multiple times a week. I’m so excited to have a means of exercise that gets my heart rate up, doesn’t exacerbate my disabilities, and is enjoyable.

I have had my bike for 2 months now and last month I rode 70 miles and met the weekly recommend moderate activity for multiple weeks in a row. I have done 7, 8, 9 mile rides so far. I originally thought I wouldn’t get my heart beat up much with an electric bike but to the contrary.

My fitbit shows my rides and where my heart increases to fat burning and cardio. Now I have plans by the end of March to ride 6 miles to work and 6 miles back 2-3 times a week. I couldn’t have even imagined this goal as a possibility 2 months ago and now this is realistic.

This bike is comfortable and is a joy to ride. The seat is cushy and comfortable. The hand grips are comfortable. I have issues with my hands and was worried about pain but this hasn’t been a problem and I’m quite comfortable with the grips and angle of the handlebars.

This bike is sturdy and comfortable. The battery lasts a long time. I could probably ride 4 or 5 days 5-6 miles a day until I need to recharge. I usually recharge every 2-3 rides but that is because I’m the type of person who fills my gas tank up when it is 3/4th full.

I see the battery go down two bars and I’m on it with a recharge. The cons: I had a squeaking sound and couldn’t figure out what was causing it, but I didn’t look. I assigned figuring it out to my boyfriend and he said he was going to try some WD40.

I’m not sure if he used it or did something but the squeaking sound went away. My breaks squeal a little. I haven’t walked through the steps they provided to do a break tune-up so it is probably user error.

I think I’m going to assign this to my boyfriend too. The battery came loose a couple times cutting the power. I just noticed it was tougher to pedal and stopped the bike to push it back in. The final con was I really wanted the cream bike but after waiting for three months global supply issues meant I would likely have to wait another three months.

So they gave me an option to wait or switch to a bike in stock which is how I ended up with the Navy bike. It is very nice looking and I’m pleased even though it wasn’t my first pick. I highly recommend this bike.

It was easy to assemble. I think it took me an hour because I carefully read and reread instructions to make sure I did it correctly. I love this bike. It is super comfy and gave me an outlet to be physical activity.

I was really struggling with the prospect of never being able to do anything physical until I got this bike. So I’m serious when I say this bike changed my life by giving me back my life. Now I have cute little accessories on it.

Love it and look forward to many rides to come.

I live in a very humid, tropical environment where sulfur emissions from a prior lava eruption continue to pollute the air and cause everything metal to rust. After our 1960’s Schwinn cruiser bicycles became rusted beyond repair, I searched online for new bikes.

The sixthreezero bicycles looked really cool and the prices were fantastic. I did not expect the quality to be anywhere near as good as it is! It is extremely comfortable and a breeze to pedal also! The paint color is very retro and cool; people compliment the bike whenever I ride Amazingly, TWO years after I have purchased it, my bike has NO rust anywhere! This is practically unheard of in our location! We live 5 blocks from 3-month long active lava eruption that continues to emit sulfur into the air three years later! If I had to say something negative about the bike, I can’t think of anything I would change about it! Their customer service team is top notch! Anytime I email them, they respond almost immediately! I would recommend this bicycle for men and women of all ages.

I am 61yrs old and our teenage neighbor loves my bike as much as I do!.

I spent a really really long time picking out an electric bike. I simply wanted a beach cruiser comfortable bike that is electric. So I spent the extra money and got this bike thinking I was getting a beach cruiser.

This is NOT a beach cruiser. I am disappointed. It’s ok, but not comfortable like my regular beach cruiser bike. The handle bars are not beach cruiser style. They are the standard electric bike handlebars.

You can adjust them but overall it’s just a different shape bike. So unless you specifically want a mint green bike I’d save $$ buy a white one for $750 off Amazon with a 350w bigger motor & battery.

Also this bike lacks features like a horn or bell and the lights are AA battery operated not off the bike’s rechargeable battery. Also the seat does not lift forward for easy battery removal. So when you want to remove the battery you have to pull the seat off and then reposition it back to where you liked it! As you may want to remove the battery so it doesn’t get stolen this is a big design flaw that the other 2 bikes I was considering had.

Also it took a very long time to put together. Much longer than the other electric bike we bought. Directions were terrible of course. Look for the YouTube videos they were a huge help. I would not buy again.

These bikes are great. We bought two (Malibu Beach and Newport Beach) of the X-Treme E-bikes from Upzy to take with us when we travel in our Motorhome, but they have been so much we are riding them almost every day around town.

We ride them to the local eateries for lunch or dinner and even though they are electric we find ourselves pedaling most of the time but when a little rest is needed the pedal assist kicks in nicely or I can just sit back and turn the throttle to go without any pedaling.

I also find myself using them for short trips to the store for small items rather than driving, and with all of the bike lanes on the roadways and provided bike parking at the stores, it is often quicker than driving and I get a little exercise to boot.

Now I can be more truthful when my primary care physician asks if I exercise regularly. I use a smart phone app to check the distances and speeds that I travel and surprisingly even with occasional strong head winds and hills it is very close to the numbers advertised.

The company has been very helpful with addressing my questions and I have always been able to speak to a live person when calling. In fact I called them before I received the bicycles and ask if they could send me out an owner’s manual in advance and before I got off the phone a PDF copy was in my inbox.

They have also been very responsive by email answering technical questions and a couple of small warranty issues sending replacement parts, no questions asked. Packaging of the bicycles could be better, but in spite of the looks of the boxes upon arrival, there were only minor scuffing on the bicycles that were easily buffed out.

So far we are very happy with our purchase and believe these are well worth taking a look at if you are interested in buying an electric bicycle.

Though the bike arrived in a horribly torn up box, all the parts were there and it went together as easy as I could have expected. The front wheel and pedals had to be put on, and all of the other accessories like the basket, rack, seat, light, etc.

, had to be assembled and/or installed. The instructions were useless but not needed anyway, and I’m not really handy with this sort of thing. I liked the fact that all the tools needed for assembly were included in the package, and they are actually good enough to really get the job done.

They all fit in a little fabric pouch that I think I’ll wire tie under the seat for future use if needed. As for the bike, my first impression is that it’s great quality. Yes it’s heavy at around 50 lbs, but that’s not heavy at all for an electric bike.

The disc brakes and motor all work great and the suspension and spring seat give it a very smooth ride. Bike shops sell bikes with similar features for three times the price I paid for this one. I’m quite happy so far.

I bought this bike to replace my 30+ Year-old road bike. I didn’t want another road bike because the posture was hard on my wrists. This cruiser fit the bill! So easy and comfortable to ride, and I love how the seat is set so your get can almost touch the ground.

The gears are really easy to shift as well. The only downside is the weight: this girl is very heavy, but it feels so sturdy I don’t mind it too much.

This bike has a new geometry wherein you sit further back and lower to the ground. This makes it easier to reach the ground with your feet, and means that you sit straighter up without putting weight on your hands and arms.

It is more of a recumbent position and I have found it makes for a comfortable ride. The quality of the components (brakes, gears, bearings, seat) is impressively high and exceeds expectations and it seems easy to make adjustments as needed.

My only complaint about the bike is that it is too easy to turn! I’d rather that it stayed more in a straight groove. I imagine this is part of the geometry and that if the front wheel position was moved forward this issue would disappear for me.

Note: The handlebars are somewhat wide – it is comfortable in riding but just be aware if you are riding on a sidewalk there may be little clearance between say a fence and a light pole. All in all a great bike with helpful features and high quality all around.

In general I like my new bike. I like it’s look and it rides well. The gearing is smooth and responsive. I have spent a lot of time trying to find the right bike. I mistakenly believed I was supporting an American company but was dismayed to see the ‘Made in China’s sticker prominently displayed and the frame.

Also the bike came with a seat clamp that didn’t clamp because the fastener was wrong. The bolt provided was cheap and easily stripped out. I didn’t call customer service because it was after 5PM PST and I wasn’t going to wait until the following Monday so I went to a local bike shop and didn’t $17 on a quick release clamp instead.

Also while there I had to purchase a front reflector because the one that came with the bike didn’t have anywhere to connect or any fastener to connect with. The illustrations in the assembly instructions showed different parts so they were no help either.

Lastly the brakes were not aligned, tuned or tightened correctly so I had to spend quite a bit of time fiddling with them. The instructions say to take it to a bike shop to make sure the brakes are correctly assembled.

So in addition to the cost of the bike, the first thing I have to do is buy parts and pay a bike tech to assemble and tune the brakes? That doesn’t seem right to me. After an inauspicious start though, I am generally pleased.

We originally purchased the 8-11 yrs size for our 9 year old and it was WAY too big. She’s around the 50th percentile in height for her age, so I have no idea what data set Retrospec is pulling from for their age sizing recommendations.

Regardless, this 6-8 yrs size works MUCH better for her (again, age 9, 50th percentile in height) and should work at least for the next 3-4 years based on the fit. The bike wasn’t too bad to put together, looks beautiful, and rides really well.

I have this unspoken hatred for bike seat clamps because they never clamp all the way to make the seat not spin even a bit sometimes, but that’s a problem with all bikes, not just this one. The turning feels a bit jittery when you just turn the handlebars, but it doesn’t affect the performance of the bike, just doesn’t feel buttery smooth.

This was the case with both sizes we got, plus the balance bike we got from Retrospec at the same time.

With gas over $5 a gallon, I was looking for a new bike. I randomly purchased a beach cruiser at Walmart at the beginning of COVID. Even with an upgraded seat and tires, it was cumbersome and uncomfortable.

While riding by my local bike shop, I happened to see they had this bike in stock. I’ve been researching already so I was excited to see it locally. I literally rode it 10 feet and was sold. I’ve had it over a month now and ride it to either the beach (5.

6 miles round trip) or my sailboat (5 miles round trip) daily. It’s incredibly comfortable and much lighter than my previous beach cruiser. The gears are great. The brakes are great. Ride it on the street.

Over gravel. Grass. Through the neighborhood. Zero issues. The overall position of how you sit is also much more comfortable. I have an annular tear in my lower spine so bike riding has been a challenge for me.

This bike has been perfect. Much more comfortable. I just wish my local shop had the electric bike to test drive. I added a large front basket, a Jimmy Buffett parrot, a coconut cup holder, back rack and basket and have just started towing my Yeti chair in the cargo cart.
