These fans are exactly what a modern PC needs for RGB. I was using some Corsair fans (the HD series) but the RGB would only work with the included RGB controller unless you purchased an additional controller interface.
This would allow you to use Corsair software (iCue) to control the RGB, but I wanted my fans to sync with the rest of the ASUS Aura aRGB in my case. I checked out some Chinese fans, which seemed like good fans, but they have proprietary connectors and could not plug into a motherboard.
Finally, I found these Antek fans that have real 4-pin PWM fan connectors, and the correct 3-pin aRGB connectors. I installed them on my AIO water cooler, but I found that, although they can sync with my motherboard, every time you power cycles the PC they would default back to their controller patterns.
I solved this by purchasing a 3-pin Aura aRGB hub and removing the Antek controller. This hub will run all my lights while getting power from the PSU instead of the motherboard. The perfect solution since it always syncs with the motherboard.
The Antek fans themselves are great fans. I didn’t gain any temperature increase when switching from the Corsair fans. And they look awesome too. I am now a happy aRGB camper.
If you are buying this kit and intent to use it with Asus AURA Sync or any other software to sync the RGB lightning with your other devices, you may want to rethink your purchase. The fans are great, but the controller will lose sync with the software every time your computer goes to sleep or turns off; The controller will reset back to it’s non-sync default rgb state.
I had to buy a separate argb fan controller off of a**z*n for this kit to work in my setup, and you will probably have to do the same if you want your fans to be rgb synced at all times.
Powerful, but loud, but not annoying to me, so just being honest. At least in my cooler master case. The sound lets me know its working because its cooling gaming/mining rig and it keeps the inside cool with a 3080 non lhr which is known to run hot like the 3090s while mining at least.
During the development of the P12 PWM, special emphasis was placed on a focused airstream and thus a high static pressure. The fan guarantees extremely efficient cooling, even with increased air resistance.
Therefore, the P12 PWM is particularly suitable for use on heatsinks and radiators. The motor is powered by a neodym-iron-boron-magnet ring, which allows the P12 PWM to run much more efficiently than its predecessors.
This saves energy and lowers the coil temperature without compromising the performance. Even at low speeds the operating sound of the Arctic motor is barely noticeable. Due to a sinus-magnetizing the innovative motor only creates about 5% of the vibration from commutation of a regular DC-motor without filter.
Consequently, there is no need for rubber spacers due to the steady and smooth torque of the motor. A lower motor temperature roughly doubles the life span of a fan. The Arctic motor has a longer service life through its low coil temperature.
The P12 PWM is able to switch into silent passive mode when PWM signal is below 5% due to its motor. This allows working at your PC in complete silence without any unwanted noise.
I replaced 3x Corsair LL120 and 10x Corsair SP120 with 13 of these in Corsair 5000D Airflow case. We keep reptiles in our home so the house temps are intentionally kind of high, so running fans at higher speeds is a must.
The Corsair setup was effective, but LOUD!!! With this new setup, even at max RPM on all 13, it is still only about half the volume of the other setup, and the pitch is much easier to deal with as well.
I do not intend to run them at full speed as that is simply not necessary, but it was a good exercise to get a gauge for the acoustics. Setting them at 850 keeps the system just as cool as the other setup with barely audible noise under average workload.
Bumping them up to 1200 gives me the same performance as my other fans did maxed out and still with very reasonable volume to still work without the obnoxious whines and whirrs. The PWM sharing daisy chain makes it very easy to cleanly manage cables and keep routing short.
I lost one cable per fan by dumping RGB (didnt care for or need that anyway), which saved TONS of space in the rear of the case for management. The only complaints I have are that no vibration damping is included, although I have yet to hear a need for it with them mounted firmly in place.
The other thing is the included hardware is all silver and would stand out like a sore thumb with cases that have a good view. I just reused the black hardware from previous fans to eliminate that concern.
10/10 would do again, and highly recommend to anyone looking for affordable, quiet, and effective fans. If RGB is your thing, they do make RGB models of this same setup, but that is all on your personal preference.
I bought this 5 pack for myself and my friend’s PC build and all 5 worked right out of the box. They are mostly silent, fit perfectly, and deliver good cool airflow. The wires are a good length too. With the splitter cable I bought for them I didn’t even need the extension cables I also purchased.
Screwing them in required a lot of force! Significantly more then any of the other fans in our cases. I was worried about breaking or stripping the plastic, though they might not have been threaded to begin with.
At least I know they are so tight in there now that they are not going anywhere! There is very little noise unless I take my dust cover off. Then the fans are noticeable but that is probably more to do with the vibration of the case then the fans themselves since the magnetic dust trap seems to fix it.
There are 7 case fans in here now including 3 of these on the top so I’m actually very pleased with how little noise is coming from the PC. So far these fans are exactly what we both wanted. Simple, affordable cooling fans with good airflow and no “gamer” lights.
My friend doesn’t want LED lights in his case lighting up the room at night and while I myself like having a few lights in my PC, these fans are mounted in the top of my case and I don’t want LED lights shining up onto the TV through the dust trap.
Of course I could just buy some fans with lights and turn the LEDs off, but they are almost 3x as expensive to do the same job so I am very glad these simple fans with no lights that just do their job were in stock.
looks good ,plenty of wire, very quiet ,and they plug into each other meaning you don’t have to buy a extra hub to plug them all in. and cheap price. cant beat it, will recommend and buy again! shadow wings 2 from Be Quiet are a tiny bit quiter but 1 cost as much as 5 of these and dont daisy chain.
They can be compared to 1 Noctua NH-L9x65 SE-AM4 CPU cooler, Artics are a tiny bit noisier but only a little bit. 2 Be Quiet 120mm shadow wings PMW are a tiny bit quieter and blow a little harder also but alot more $ 3 Artic Accelero twin Turbo III makes just a touch less noise than the PMW fans.
they would work well together. 4 Seasonic PSU’s this fan is better isolated but likly about the same noise level spot on. 5 Wraith cooler, Artic is much quieter than the AMD cooling solutions. and it turns out CPU cooling solutions ramp up and down alot and when you got a quiet system otherwise you will be changing this cooler also if you want Quiet.
If you plan to have a drop dead quiet system I would go with Be Quiet or Noctua but note if you have a stock cooling solution you will likley start hearing it and need to spend more money on a better cooling solution and likley a quieter PSU also, if you do not plan to change those out the Artics make a nice quiet noise that is solid enough to use.
and if you have a noisy GPU there may be little since in Noctua or Be Quiet products unless you are going to make your own cooling solution for your GPU or get something like the Accelero. These Fans for the price are a great solution that will fit most needs and they will lower your overall thermals while being fairly silent.
if you need negative 23 db fans at full blast these may not be quite there.

These fans are barely audible. I installed two in the front of my case as intakes. They provide great air flow across the entire ATX motherboard. I have another brand 80mm exhaust in the rear and one 80mm exhaust on top and the air throughput has been sufficient for video editing and rendering.
The two b quiet fans even keep the outer case cool unless everything is under extreme load. Under full throttle rendering cool heat is dissipated consistently like a steady moderate breeze providing comfort that my system is working optimally.

Bought and compared this 140mm model against the BeQuiet 120mm shock-mounted model. If you have mounting holes for a 140mm fan, this is the way to go. It pushes a lot more air and doesn’t get too noisy until run near top speed (confirmed to be 1600rpm).
I think most of the noise I get from this fan is actually from the holes in the side panel where the fan is mounted.

These 140mm fans are amazing. If you plan on using these for all round build. You will need a 10hub fan. I bought 3 of these for my new build. I paired it with Kraken z73 this thing is QUIET and keeps everything cool.
If you need to keep it cool and OC’ing the performance mode from ZXT will keep your system cool even on high performance mode. If you don’t need the RGB pack,I would suggest get the 140mm be quiet fans.

Slightly disappointed these fans were louder than the ones I replaced. The reason I purchased these particular 80mm be quiet! PURE WINGS 2 computer case fans was to help quiet my computer a bit more.
They were to replace two older Cooler Master 80mm fans, one at the front and the other at the side of the case. A few weeks earlier I had already replaced the rear 120mm Antec fan with a 120mm be quiet! Silent Wings 3 fan.
What I noticed with the 120mm fan replacement was the be quiet! fan ran at a slightly lower RPM than the Antec fan but it seemed to have a slightly increased air whoosh noise more than the Antec. When these two 80mm fans arrived a few weeks later I noticed after installing them they ran at a much higher 2100RPM where the Cooler Masters ran only at 1450RPM.
Because of this higher speed these two fans were noticeably louder than the old fans replaced. So I am slightly disappointed I wasted money getting a feature that was opposite what I wanted them to achieve.
I did do numerous sound tests both before and after replacing these fans and found on average the computer was now 2 to 3 dB louder with the be quiet! fans than the original fans. That’s an approximate 15-23% increase in actual loudness, which in a quiet home office, is quite noticeable.
The good news however is they move a lot more air that the old fans which is keeping the inside of the case much cooler helping to keep the CPU and Cores much cooler as well (yes I was monitoring that as well following all the upgrades I was doing).
This is why I am only giving these fans a middle-of-the-road 3 star review as I bought them for increased quiet but they did not deliver that but did deliver increased cooling. I think maybe what I should do next is just upgrade to a better silent designed case that uses insulation and larger lower speed 120mm or 140mm fans (instead of smaller higher speed fans).
So great “be quiet!” fans. but not necessarily “quiet”.
The company making these fans is aptly named. These fans are dead quiet. I changed these fans out on my son’s computer and started the machine up. At first, I thought I did something wrong because I couldn’t hear the fans, but the computer was on! The fans are a must if you don’t want the constant droning of those older and louder fans.
Purchased 3 of these for a new build to compliment the be quiet! Shadow Rock LP CPU cooler (that also comes with this fan). My only downfall was not realizing that I accidentally purchased the 3 pin, and not the 4 pin PWM.
Oh well. They still work for what the system requires. Wow- I’m an enthusiast and very, very impressed with these fans. If your setup has space for the 30mm depth (25mm is standard), they are the best performers on the market for practically every use case.
They are the quietest available at nearly all volumes of air-movement, including that they completely stop at 0% and sit idle (many cheaper fans will just keep truckin’ even if you need absolute silence).
But from about 60% upwards (in advanced mode), they start to absolutely scream and easily win in the air-movement department as well. Their static pressure is unbelievable, pulling an enormous amount of air through my radiators with barely a whisper.
The max RPM – 3000 – would be huge on any fan but these are 30mm thick and made of LCP – so that’s even more powerful than it sounds. NB: I wouldn’t recommend these for absolute beginners, as you’ll unlock the best results by designing or tweaking their PWM curves, and only using “advanced” mode.
For most fans 60% speed would be pretty normal, but above 30% these are already moving an amazing amount of air. Save 100% to work as an “alarm”, unless you’re overclocking or something and expect crazy-high temps.
Cooling quietly treadripper has been a challenge. I picked Icegiant pro elite and replaced fans with Phanteks T30. Case is Corsair airflow 7000 with 7 intake and 3 exhaust. Adjusted a fan profile with low spin, now normal workstation operations are whisper quiet.
temps around 55 degree, Full power rendering little fan noise temps 70-72 degree. Phanteks T30 fans 10 degree better and quieter than stock fans.
T30s are good fans. I strapped two of them onto an exterior radiator, which was custom fitted on my PC. I have no real complaints about it. Compared to my 3000 RPM EKWB Furious Vardar 120mm fans, the T30s are quieter, at the same operating speeds and they feel like they move more air.
Just know it is a little thicker, so take that into account when building your PC.

The build quality of the fans, the RGB and the controller is excellent. Very well made quiet and effective fans from this perspective they are worth a 4/5 star. The ability to connect the fans is also great However the way they have implemented the Fan PWM is strange and there are no warnings and their website in fact states otherwise so I feel a little conned out of my money on these expensive fans.
The website says this “Users can set the fan speed of each group of UNI FANs manually or set it at PWM to let the motherboard control the speed. ” In the L-Connect 3 Software you can toggle which lets you assign the RPM speed to the Motherboard known as MB RPM Sync.
However this does not work there is no Tachometer signal going from the controller to the motherboard so the motherboard can never really “control” the RPM speed as it can never see the speed. If you want fan curves they can never be controlled by another piece of software unless you physically connect each set of fan headers to the motherboard directly.
Add in the fact that the L-Connect Software only supports reading of CPU and GPU temp if like me you watercool and base the fan speed on water temp its impossible. the FAQ states recommends connecting it to system fan headers but nowhere does it explain the limitation here.
In summary good product quality but bad design and I would have been okay if they had made this limitation clear on the product page at the time of writing there is nothing. So i feel a little conned out of my money.
These set of fans are excellent due to its wide variety of RGB customization options, amazing airflow, and its daisy chaining feature. The only gripe that I have with this product is that the RBG lighting of the fans does not immediately load the user edited settings upon booting on after the power supply has been turned off and on.
Additionally, PWM control just blasts the fans to full 1900 RPM without ceasing (whenever the power supply is reset, the PWM settings get messed up). E. g I set all of the RGB of my PC to green only.
After shutting down my PC, I always switch the power supply off as well. whenever I switch on the power supply and boot my PC up, the fans light up to its default rainbow color. But after the software controller has loaded up on desktop, it turns back to green again.
This issue can be fully prevented by not turning the PSU off. I would have given this product 5 stars if it wasn’t for this issue.

i’ve now had the xf120 for about a month. i have a thermaltake versa h22 plus. which has a mesh side panel that technically has mounting for 2x 120mm fans while all the h22s have 2x in the front and on the top with a single rear all 120mm fan.
at the top it has 3x 5. 25″ extremal drive bays with 3x 3. 5″ and 2. 5″ internal drive bays each which are right next to the front fans and aren’t removable. i was running 3 of the 4 fans that the case came with filling the front and rear mounts.
on my ryzen 5 3600 (with stock cooler) and a gigabyte 1660ti oc with fans running at stock settings and config changing nothing. i saw a 5 degree drop on average in temps. the stock fans had 40 cfm airflow with 0.
61mm-h2o. have not heard any of the fans sitting 4′-6′ away once yet even under my heaviest load i play games under regularly since i switched to the xf120s.
If I hadn’t already spent quite a bit on fans I would have bought 9 more to fill my case! I added these when setting up a push pull configuration on my 360 rad. Since these were going to be on the top between the case and the rad it didn’t matter that they didn’t have rgb! (I’m not really into a ton of rgb anyway) Holy cow did these improve the airflow through my rad 10 fold.
Temps are amazingly cool and the system is super quiet! I would highly recommend these fans especially if you don’t care about rgb!.
I can easily see a temp improvement of about 3 to 5 degrees. I am using it as an exhaust and when everything is at high capacity you can really feel the hot air coming out. Overall if you motherboard is compatible with this fan but this one and if you could buy multiple that would be great.

I saw these fans on microcenter when I was considering a fan upgrade for my new case. I searched reviews on YouTube and found that these were incredibly quiet and had decent airflow too. Some reviews said at lower RPM it sounded bad from motor noise, but I’ve not experienced this yet.
I don’t like wearing headphones so motor and fan noise (or lack thereof) is important to me. Even under load these fans have a pleasantly quiet sound to them. Very low noise, even at lower RPMs, and when they do spin up to 100% which is rare, they don’t sound that loud.
My case has 6 of them in it, 3 for intake and 3 exhaust and they sound wonderful still. Very much recommended a PWM and ARGB hub when mounting more than 3 in one case, extension cables too or it can be a rat’s nest.
Wanted to grab some silent Arctic fans and saw these on a Black Friday sale. Exceptional build quality, solid and great plug and play from the box. Daisy chain connections for both fan connectors and ARGB makes for easy cable managment.
Fans are great on start up with no noticeable annoying whines or hums. Highly recommend for users who want silent operation with ARGB at a great price!.
Some days cables where damages exposing wires but otherwise they are very pretty fans and very quiet under 1100rpm but start to get noisy above that especially if in push pull. As these fans have the blades being so close to the front side edges you may encounter some radiator like the corsair ones will rub against the frame and stop the fan from turning.

Very nice set of digital RGB fans from Phanteks. I bought a 3 pack of the 120mm to start my Enthoo Pro II build. Very bright and beautiful fans and RGB connectors can daisy chain for easy installation.
The 3 pack also comes with a 3 to one splitter cable for easy cable management, as well as a RGB fan connector to digital RGB motherboard header adapter. These fans will integrate with a Phanteks case that has a digital RGB connector preinstalled, therefore allowing you to control colors and effects with the front panel.
Alternately they can also be connected to a digital RGB header on your motherboard for motherboard control. These can only be plugged into a digital RGB header (3 pin, 5V). They cannot be directly plugged into a 4 pin RGB header (12V), but you could use a RGB convertor.
Overall very nice fans, especially at this price. I will be purchasing multiple sets for my Enthoo Pro II build.
This is an amazing A-RGB fan!. I bought a phenteks P400AD PC case it comes with 3 intake fan pre-installed and that’s great, but felt like my pc was over heating even though it’s a mesh front case and gets good ventilation.
An exhaust fan for PC is something I would recommend highly if you are running high-end computer parts like me eg- MSI RTX 3060TI GAMING X TRIO, RYZEN 7 3700X and etc. PROs of the Fan does exactly what it says and does better, can’t even hear the fan running very quite and most importantly it’s Easy to install took me 2 minutes to install CONs – does not have any.
I understand that some things don’t need to come with instructions but this was a headache trying to figure out where all these ends plugged into. I had 6 fans to connect, you would think a simple daisy chain and be done, but throw a PMW hub in the mix with ends that don’t look like they plug into each other it was a nightmare.
It comes with extra wires and ends as well just incase you need them but it only adds to the frustration.

These rgb fans are outstanding. Corsair sets the bar on rgb related products. These fans blow a good amount of air at default settings. Not loud at all until they ramp up, but when your gaming you dont even hear it, so not a deal breaker.
I took these to pc shop for install and they were done in 15 minutes, which included removing stock case fans. Totally customizable with ICUE software. Although you still need the Commander Pro to control the fan speeds and set fan curve, everything else is in this box that is needed as long as your MOBO is rgb compatible.
Mine was not so they installed a rgb hub for $20. These are a must buy if you love your lights. Individual control of each light on each fan, makes it like a disco party in your case. Highly recommend any Corsair product.
Customer service is top notch as well with very quick email responses to answer any questions on install.
Combined with the Corsair 4000X case, these fans work beautifully to keep my case temperatures low. which means low temps on both my CPU and graphics card. I was concerned about the latter as the secondhand 1660 Super I purchased turned out to be a single fan model.
I need not have worried. The CPU using a quality budget Coolermaster Hyper 212 also felt the benefits. The fans came with a Corsair Commander unit for powering the RGB and controlling it with the powerful downloadable software Corsair provide.
Be aware that the Corsair 4000X case also has a Commander unit in it, just in case you want to combine the two! I would say they work hard to help keep my CPU and GPU running so cool. But I have yet to experiment with the fan curves to achieve the optimal balance, so they can’t be that bad.
They only really go full pelt in gaming and rendering. As far as gaming goes I’m too list in the game to really notice them much. They reach 80 percent of their stated maximum speed on Slime Rancher and 3D to 2D rendering work.
Solid performers that look beautiful, comes with capable software to download. My case deserves some of the praise for getting the best out of them, but even so. Recommended.

These are my first Noctua fans. I bought 2 of these bad boys to replace my awful intake fans leftover from a cheap case I bought almost a decade ago. My new GPU (VEGA 64) was sucking all the cool air causing my system to overheat.
I had to keep my side panel off to keep my system cool until these fans arrived. To my surprise, these fans are not only far quieter but also keep my system COOLER than when I had the side panel off!!! I must say, Noctua has won me over, I now see why everyone loves them so much! The packaging is also fantastic, very minimal plastic and completely recyclable! It also looks beautiful and feels premium.
I bought two of these recently (the second was a 120 mm PWM of the same model for the rear case fan) and i couldn’t be happier with the results. I have installed this 140mm in the front at the top blowing directly into the AIO cooler and I have seen a reduction in temps not only in my CPU (5 degrees C, I know it’s not much, but the CPU now hovers at 53C on full load) but also my Asus 1660 super GC (by 5-10 degrees C depending on the game).
The fans are very quiet and move a serious amount of air and less noisy than the Be Quiet fan I had previously installed. Well worth paying the extra dollars for.
I really like the old Noctua fan designs, now available in the Redux line. While these fans are not technically quiet as the current flagships, they do have a very inoffensive noise profile. The sound is more of a broadband whoosh, as opposed to a tonal whine or buzz.
For best results with these fans, you should be dialing in a manual fan curve, or at the very least using a silent profile. At 1500 PRM, these fans are NOT silent, though they do move a lot of air. I’ve used these fans as both exhaust and for intakes in a restrictive case.
They do really well in these applications. They don’t buzz when in close contact with restrictive grills or baffles, and they do have a decent amount of static pressure. They also avoid stalling even when airflow is restricted near the blade tips.
In conclusion, this is a high quality all-purpose fan for a good price.

This fan is very loud. In comparison to the previous generations of Corsair’s 140mm fans, this is turbo loud but without much airflow improvement. I have 7 fans in my aged PC, including liquid CPU cooling fans, all of which are Corsair 140mm’s or 120mm’s.
They all live in a Corsair 780T case. One of them span with noise just recently, so I thought it needed replacement. After installation, this new one actually runs louder than the noisy problematic one that it has replaced.
All other fans still run as quiet as usual even on max speed. And I thought technology these days advances in the speed of light? So I swapped the new one out, with an even older Corsair fan without LED that came originally with the case 7 years ago.
It now runs smooth and quiet. I am also in the process of getting a brand new desktop; just haven’t decided on how much damage to break the bank yet. With Corsair fans running so loud like this, I will perhaps consider other choices.
I bought this pack (plus a third, separate fan of the same model) to replace the two Fractal fans that came with my Meshify 2 XL case. Somehow, despite there being an extra fan, they are quieter! The only downside is that the cables aren’t quite long enough to reach my enormous case’s built-in fan hub, so I’ve had to connect them directly to the motherboard.
If the cables were slightly longer, it’d be perfect. If your case isn’t so mind-bogglingly huge, though, you’ll probably be alright – they were literally just a few centimetres too short. The RGB hub(s) come pre-attached with 3M sticky pads, so you can secure them wherever you want.
The RGB is gorgeous, and they cool my system. Not sure what else to say!.
Summary: Both of these are great fans that I highly recommend. The Noctua NF-P12 redux is cheaper and quieter then the Corsair ML120, so it is best for most situations. The Corsair ML120 is great when you need a fan that can run both quiet or loud and powerful.
It can run 700 rpm faster than the Noctua so it is a good value for a such a powerful fan, but it is slightly louder at the same rpm and a couple of dollars more expensive then the Noctua. Noise: The both fans are silent up to 1300 rpm.
The Corsair ML120 is slightly louder than the Noctua NF-P12 redux at speeds above 1300 rpm. I was really surprised that the Noctua NF-P12 redux beat the Corsair ML120 on noise, as the ML120 uses a magnetic levitation barring, but I guess that Noctuas fluid barring is just that good.
AirFlow: The Corsair ML120 can run up to 2400 rpm while the Noctua NF-P12 redux can only reach 1700rpm, so the ML120 is capable of more air flow and higher pressure then the NF-P12 redux, although Corsair ML120 is quite loud at max speed.
Static pressure from spec sheets: Corsair ML120 up to 4. 2 mm-H2O, Noctua NF-P12 redux up to 2,83 mm-H2O. RPM range: ML120 = 400-2400, NF-P12 redux = 450-1700. The main advantage that the Corsair ML120 has over the Noctua is that it can run 700 rpm faster.
This is great for a situation where you might need some extra cooling power at the top of a pmw fan curve. Warranty: ML120 = 5 years, NF-P12 redux = 6 years. Both of these fans have top quality bearings, so they should both last for many years unless you get a defective one.
Accessories: As these are both basic models they do not come with anti-vibration pads or any other accessories other then mounting screws. Price: At the time of this review a 2 pack of ML120 was 31. 41, so a ML120 was $15.
71 while a NF-P12 redux was $13. 90, so the Noctua is a couple of dollars cheaper, but the ML120 is still a great value for a good quality 2400 rpm fan. Note on product models: The performance of the ML120 is the same as the ML120 PRO, the PRO model is just a more premium variant that has anti vibration pads, looks better.

While I used to adore Corsair, I’m coming to the realization that they’re greedy and completely overrated. I have their case, ram, psu, m. 2 ssd, fans, keyboard, mouse, headset. and I’m kind of over it at this point.
Granted, the fans move a lot of air. But that’s about it. Not really impressive considering how expensive they are. And they don’t even include the long screws to mount to your radiator if you have a loop.
The fan header cable is too short. And my goodness, these fans are loud – definitely adjust your fan curve as soon as you install them. The only good thing about these fans is that they do what fans are meant to do – move air.
If you like blowing dolla bills, want your pc to sound like it’s going to explode, or enjoy the soothing sounds of jet engines – buy this. At this point I’m considering moving on to a different brand, maybe Thermaltake as they have more reasonably priced items at a very similar quality.

Replaced the stock fans in a Corsair Air 540 case with three fans to get better airflow and lower temperatures. The result was a significant drop in temperatures with fan noise about the same (maybe lower) than the stock fans.
The only issue was the fan casing is slightly larger than the stock fans causing the rear fan to block a screw hole that holds a side panel. I could easily drill out the hole, but one screw holds the side panel just fine for now.
I bought this fan for an extra case fan and am happy with it so far. It’s nice having the extra 20 mm in diameter and I while I appreciate RGB, there’s only so much that I feel is needed before it becomes overwhelming (which is why I didn’t buy the RGB version).
I haven’t changed the trim, but will probably try white eventually to pick up some of the ambient RGB.
Bought these to replace the ones on the AOI I installed. Missed a brace when installing and the plastic broke a blade. These replaced the broken ones. Looks great, works great!

Easy to setup, the holes were hard to tap on so I had spent a good time screwing in on the untapped holes many times that I built the perfect pecs and shoulder muscles. I’m a fat guy, very over-weight in fact.
If you want a gym-esque workout while building your pc, this is the perfect fans for you. I had to beat up every T-rex I see just to shed the extra testosterone boost of energy I had from screwing in the fans.
You can thank me by including the poor T-rex orphans in your prayers. No, I’ve already had enough of a heartbreak on this one. I wouldn’t want anyone I care for to have this kind of product so that they could potentially risk breaking bones over tapping the screw holes.
I ended up buying a second pack of these fans so have them for intake and exhaust. The RGB looks great and were easy to install. Only hiccup I had was the addressable RGB cable labeled “Gigabyte” was not actually compatible with my Gigabyte B550 motherboard and the cable labeled for other motherboard brands did work with my board.
Using the SATA connection for the RGB hub also worked but this provides a little less functionality and has to be controlled by a hardware switch.

I bought this fan from Amazon to go in my P500A case. After about 2 hours of having my new system on, the fan started making a loud noise. There was no visible chords and such clashing with the blades, so I took it out of the case and plugged it into a fan header and it still made the noise.

Looking for quality 140mm fans with DRGB capability? Buy this product. Oh, and if you want more than one and if your motherboard only has one 5v DRGB header, you will need to purchase Phanteks PH-CB-DRGB3P cable extensions.
One for each fan in order to daisy chain them. I’m currently using three that are daisy chained to one 5v DRGB header. No issues. I keep having to look to ask myself if they are working because I seriously cannot hear them running but they are working terrific!.
This is my first ever Phanteks fan, and I have to wonder why I’ve been avoiding this company for so long. I will definitely be buying more of these for future builds.

These fans are amazing for builds that require 5+ fans in your system. My system is currently running 10 fans (6 of which are the 120mm AL variant, mounted with 3 at the top and 3 at the bottom of the case).
The daisy chaining is done properly, adding no additional cable mess compared to NZXT’s attempt (simply just snap the fans together and add a fan cable to one end). Included in the 3x fan package is an RGB fan hub with 3 available ports for RGB and Fan (this is the lowest quality part of everything, however it gets the job done).
The RGB lighting is great, and even though I’m not a fan of RGB on the actual blades these fans look amazing. The back support is low profile with no voltage printing (a simple X pattern also makes it less obtrusive to any build aesthetic, and gives you less stress over the orientation and fan-physics of the build).
The only downside is the price and software. Like everything Lian-Li, with high quality and engineering comes high price, and at $115 USD a pack of 3 is no small purchase. In terms of software, L-Connect is bare-bones, but it gets the job done (I found that setting the fans to PWM and adjusting the curve in your BIOS is the best option, as there is no way to make a curve through the software).
If you are planning a build that requires additional fans and has a tempered glass or other transparent side panels, these fans are a great option. I think for the extra cost the quality and aesthetic these fans bring is absolutely worth it.
These fans connect together without the needs of extra wires. I purchased a three pack since my OEM case fans had the bearings going out and the grinding noise from there was just to unbearable. Before I purchased these I didn’t really do much research on case fans as I usually would with other components because I figured I would just get some new corsair fans that matched the old ones I had.
However when I had the associate recommend these fans to me I figured I would just try them since I wasn’t to picky. Now that I own these fans I can say for sure that I will be purchasing them again in the future! For starters the lack of wires needed created such an easy installation without me needing to run cables and hide them accordingly.
Also the RGB is absolutely amazing! Compared to my old fans these air noticeably brighter as well as noticeably quieter. As of right now I would say the only CON I have for these fans is the software for them is not as nice as some others like Logitech or Corsair, but this is not a deal breaker by any means.
(especially since I use armory crate for all of my lighting anyways and there has yet to be a software out there to be as terrible as that one. ) Overall I would say these are a great purchase that I would make again in the future.
Reminder, this is a 4/5 Star review. So instead of regurgitating why these earned 4 stars which most other reviews have done, I want to explain why I’m docking a star for them. While these fans might hit perfect for some, the lighting control and options were certainly inferior to the SL120 units.
Because the frame is slightly larger, there is just the slightest performance increase. But, if you are getting these for 0. 5*C performance increases at the sacrifice of visuals, then you are probably looking at the wrong fans in the first place.
So do not pay extra for a literal fraction of performance increase unless this RGB style is for you. Case thematics look much better when the SL120s are used!.

The build quality of the fan was more than I was expecting for the price. The corners have rubber pads to dampen vibrations. These fans support Addressable RGB lighting with a dual loop (hub and perimeter).
They are quiet with a speed range of around 650 to 1800 rpm. They are also 4-wire PWM controlled fans. The rifle bearings mean they are quiet and will last a long time. They use industry standard connectors and will easily connect to MB headers for fan and ARGB control.
The included ARGB controller is limited in what it can do but it gets you going if your MB doesn’t have an ARGB port, and repurposing the reset button to cycle the colors is a pretty clever. Also it doesn’t seem possible to stop the fans with a 0% PWM value, they always hit a 650 RPM minimum limit – which is virtually inaudible anyway.
Decent fans for the price they are. They’re practically like the Corsair fans just $100 cheaper. Though not all Cooler Master fans are good. I had to get these to replace the fans that came with my Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R.
The fans on that water cooler are absolutely horrible, they were all leaking bearing fluid and rattling like crazy within weeks of getting the water cooler. They were moving up and down more than spinning.
Since getting these Halo fans it has been so much better. They work perfectly and I already had the rest of my case fitted with them for a few months now. That being said, the lights on these fans might not be that great.
The Halo fans that were already fitted in my case are a different color than these new ones. When I installed these 3 I noticed that the colors were off. I set the RGB to a pink and all my previously fitted Halo fans would be pink but these 3 new ones are more purple.
These 3 new ones seem to have a stronger blue light than the rest that I have. Unsure yet if this is due to the lights being bad and already degrading in my few month old fans or if manufacturing for these fans aren’t great.
Due to how bad their software is, I can’t adjust the fans colors individually to make them seem like they’re the same color.
It’s a good set of 3 fans. All can share the same 3pin RGB header and 4pin fan header. Includes screws with a nice finish. You can link the fans together in sequence with both the RGB and Fan cables.
They have optional shrouds that can help the cables stick together a bit easier especially in tighter routing. Main issue is the cable length which depending on your header location may not reach. For a top mounted fan with top accessible headers on the motherboard there is some cable excess but it would not reach the bottom of the board if that were needed without the purchase of an additional extension.

The fan includes four silver mounting screws and has 40 cm long cable with 4-pin connector. In idle mode (when CPU temperature is about 45 degrees of Celsius) my Asus P5QL-M EPU/CM5671 mainboard gives no additional PWM signal to speed-up the fan, so 422 RPM(!) is the starting point for this fan.
I can also tell that Asus P8H67-V works the same way and the RPM is about the same too. This is very low fan speed comparing to other 92 mm fans I have tested, which give 800. 900 RPM at this point. I have the copper-pipe cooling tower for my PC, so typical 800-900 RPM was tooo high and noisy for me.
Also I have checked if PWM regulation is working for this fan. Yes, it have worked and gave 1100 RPM at CPU temperature of 56 degrees of Celsius. The maximum rotational speed for this fan is 2000. 2200 RPM depending on the fan copy.
Plug the yellow wire into the female connector for speed monitoring, otherwise the motherboard may report that the fan speed is zero. The instructions aren’t terribly clear on that. This is due to the pst feature that many people probably won’t use.
Other than that, this fan is quieter than expected, based on some of the other reviews. It’s not perfectly silent, but it’s quieter than the background noise in my office. Most people will probably be happy with how quiet this fan is.
Ball bearings are great. Most fans sold as having “fluid dynamic bearings” are marketing gimmicks for plain old sleeve bearings, or something only a hair better. Same goes for the various other related marketing terms.
Few, if any, mass-market fans use true fluid dynamic bearings because they are more expensive. I’m sticking with ball bearing fans, since then i know what i’m getting, and it is reliable. If i truly need something silent, then i’ll go for passive cooling.
I’ve used both the 120mm (3 pin) and these 90mm 4pin pwm fans, the Arctic F range are my favourite for the soft tone they make whilst moving plenty of air over heatsinks and out of cases. I bought these two 90mm fans for a dual cpu workstation build and they are controlled by the system defined temp/speed ranges nicely.
I will probably be buying a couple more of these for the rear case exhaust fans, to replace the old ones in there. I highly recommend these.
