Best Fan For Grow Tent (2026 Updated)

I can’t say enough GREAT things about this fan. !!! First of all it comes with 10 speeds and it’s amazingly quiet, i couldn’t believe how quiet my tent got after replacing 2 GrowBuds fans with 2 AC Infinity CloudRay S6 with Auto Oscillation fans! Next, you’re now able to connect them to your existing setup with AC Infinity Exhaust fan, light, and hygrometers and can be individually controlled accept oscillation unless oscillation was on when fan turned off because when you turn it back on it’ll start with the same speed and oscillation as when it was turned off.

Still a nice feature, i love it! My tent got 4° cooler just by swapping fans for AC Infinity fans that are ONLY working on speed “6” out of “10”. I’m using CO2 in my setup so I need the temperature to stay above 80° and below 86° for CO2 to work/photosynthesize properly so, for me the temperature drop wasn’t a good thing, but for most it will be 😊 I just need to turn the fans down a little to allow the heat to build up more because these fans are really doing a great job of moving the air around.

Didn’t expect for the temperature to drop a little, but for me it’ll be very useful for those very hot 🔥 days when they come, so I’ll just need to get adjusted to this awesome power and proper cooling that’s only available with these AC Infinity fans.

I’m sure that for people with much bigger setups than 4’x4′ tent you’ll need bigger fans like the 9″ AC Infinity that’s being produced as we speak but anything beyond that you’ll need bigger fans and that’s a totally different setup because now that’s more of a professional setup and totally different amounts of finished product which is normally not for personal use.

As home setups go, this is by far the Best purchase I have ever made and I have a feeling it’s going to remain the Best for a while because I can’t see how can someone make a better fan then that! Hands down the best 6″ Clip-on Oscillating Fan on the market today.

I’ve tried GrowBuds, GrowBrite, and a couple Chinese (no name) models, but they all suck and don’t come close to the way AC Infinity works! Highly recommend! Outstanding seller, very helpful, very knowledgeable, NOT trying to sell you when you ask for for help or ask questions! Simply, a pleasure doing business with! This is my 3rd fan i bought in 2 weeks.

I really like the tent clip style. The app and UIS have given me no problems and make setup convenient and easy to adjust. The down sides make me pretty unsure if this is a small upgrade or a step sideways from other clip fans.

I’m not yet convinced the longevity of this will be significantly better than a cheaper fan. It is constructed externally like nearly every other fan you’ve used (plastic housings, etc. ) I’m hoping the IP-44 rating is what will make the lifespan difference.

The plug location on the fan head makes routing the UIS cable kinda difficult to get a satisfactory result. The oscillation causes wire movement which has me concerned about wire chaffing/fatigue long term.

if your tent bows in at all (like during exhaust negative pressure) the fan will likely contact the tent walls on both sides of the oscillation travel. You can hear the oscillation motor slightly load when this happens and this also makes me wonder about the longevity.

Fingers crossed on the lifespan. All the other AC infinity products have held up so far so this will probably do the same.

The fan is pretty great, clips on directly to tent pole with no effort, if corner-mounted, the oscillation is a good spread that will span two adjacent walls and all of the area in between. On the Controller 67, the fans will run in sync with your intake fan automation which is awesome.

you can set it up to angle up or down depending on which way you mount the bracket to the fan. Note: Running fans oscillating for 24 hours voids the warranty – and the Controller 67 that comes with the basic tent kits do not control oscillation for these fans.

To use these fans in an automated setup, you will want a UIS controller (Controller 69/Wifi), or you will need to manually stop oscillation for several hours a day. For anyone with an automated setup, this can be a deal-breaker, so wanted to share.

For AC Infinity: This limitation should be mentioned on the product page itself rather than having to dig through the manual to find the warning relating to the warranty. Additionally would be helpful to include which controllers support controlling fan features to aid in purchasing decisions.

I purchased 1 of these for my 4×4 tent so I could remove the milk crates I had stacked in the corner for my oscillating fan and couldn’t be happier. So much so that I bought another one for my 5×5. I was skeptical at first l, as I thought I wasn’t going to be able to mount it.

ZIP TIES was all I needed to securely mount it to corner pole of my tent. I have it on low and that’s all the breeze I need. Plants look like palm trees in Miami blowing in the wind. The 90 degree oscillation covers my whole tent.

Trust me NO MORE SMALL CLIP ON FANS THAT WONT STAY PUT AND IVE GAINED ALL MY FLOOR SPACE. IF YOU’RE IN A TENT I THINK THIS IS A MUST HAVE PRODUCT.

One of the fans came with box tore. When I opened the fan was broke plastic pieces busted off. The other fan worked about 5 hours then quit working. oscillation still worked but not the turning of the fan blades.

Very disappointed just junk not as described with product pictured. Nothing usable and the one piece that maybe good was bent when crammed in the small box. Went right to the curb for trash pickup in the same box as shipped just wrapped a twenty around it.

Powerful, could use it in a huge tent if you wanted. I’m using it in a 2×2 tent and it’s much more than enough. High quality, works well. Motor in fan is strong enough that it doesn’t run silently, it makes a mmmmm noise.

Not so loud you have to speak up or turn up the radio, etc, but a noticeable background noise if you are in the same room. Of course if you increase the fan speed you get the sound of moving air–if you turn it way up it really blasts the air.

But at lowest setting you can barely hear the air movement, just the hum of the motor. It was a good value for me.

Works fantastic! Slight negative pressure on low setting, in a 4x8x6.5 ft grow tent. Used a 6in flex duct for intake with no fan and works perfect!

This fan is rated for 190cfm and it does that and maybe more. I had one of them for my intake (on a mushroom fruiting chamber) and a cheaper fan that was also rated at 190cfm along with another booster fan rated for 100cfm on my exhaust.

I had to turn the ipower fan down with a speed controller so the other 2 fans could keep up.

We are using this as an exhaust fan on our 37 belt sander and its doing a fantastic job. It can mount horizontal or vertical so we had options on the installation. Its way better than I expected, since most other fans we priced for the same size and cfm were over $700.

Its been run pretty solid for a month now. If it continues to perform at this level, we will add more for other operations in the shop.

Solid construction and this moves a lot of air. The humidity in my basement is very high in the summer. This fan takes the humidity outside through a vent pipe very effectively.

Quality fan! Do yourself a favor and buy this fan the other fans like it don’t even come close to the quality ofthis fan! Thing is solid, very good quality I bet you could throw it off a mountian and the thing would still work lol!.

This thing moves some serious air, no complaints. No vibration or weird humming like some of the cheap in line fans. It is loud without filter or muffler on it, but what fan isn’t. Great buy, great product.

Quality unit and has no issue moving air as promised. It’s noise level is as expected, but can be reduced by adding a length of duct on the inlet.

I recently purchased the 4in in-line fan with temp. and humidity sensor along with the 4in ducting. It is by far the best fan system I’ve ever used!! If your looking for performance and innovation with a fantastic price point this is the system for you.

Especially for the budget grower. The ability to control/adjust the grow environment and up to 4 devices with a swipe of a finger gives you complete control of your grow anytime. It has given me the piece of mind that my plants are exactly where they need to be no matter what stage of life they are in.

I was so impressed with this fan I add the charcoal filter to complete my venting system. I highly recommend this fan system wether a novice or a seasoned grower.

Moves air nicely! I have this paired with a 4×8″ Phresh filter for my 2x2x5. 5 tent, and it definitely creates a negative air pressure environment in the tent. I’ve only been using it for about a month (installed September 2015), so only time will tell if it lasts.

I keep mine running 24/7.

I purchased a Hurricane fan and it stopped working after 3 weeks. I did receive a new one and it has been working fine but I am still uneasy about this one going out again. I will not buy a hurricane inline fan in the future.

Hi, I like the delivery first of all. Fed Ex delivery was great. I like the simple packaging, instructions and easy assembly. I like the appearance and the oscillating feature, which allows for better air flow/circulation.

I like the quiet steady motor that’s working great. I also like the weight and overall feel of the fan. The fact that it is easy to remove and clean and that it is up and out of the way are extra benefits that I am enjoying:) The price and the YouTube video were very helpful in making my decision.

I am pleased with the price that is featured at Walmart. I use TopCashback before I buy anything to catch the extra savings:) Hope this helps! I have the fan mounted close to a window so that it helps pull in the fresh/cooler air from outside.

Its starting to make another weird noise first was the clicking noise now its making another weird noise total of two weird sounds. Feel like that thing its gonna fudge up soon. Regret paying all that money for that fudge up fan.

I got this to boost a 120v dryer that its blower went out. It worked great for 1. 5 months for that. I did exceed its heat rating slightly. But the 4/5 star doesnt have to do with that. Cfm rating isnt accurate.

But still good flow for grow tent (I’ve grown before) It’s because the casing is very loose. Falls apart. If you use some black electrical tape to tape it up. its perfect and enhances flow. The high heat or vibration also caused the fan blade to come off the shaft.

And bind up and luckily I was at home and heart it to unplug it before it burned. I superglue the fan duct back on and it’s still trucking along. I know this is likely due to the heat. But it still needs a better locking case.

That has nothing to do with heat it’s not properly sized plastic and the locking twist snap is very short. So one little squeeze and it pops apart. Overall it’s a good fan though. Put tape on it and grow away!!!.

Fan LOOKS really nicely made and sturdy. Pretty but it leaks an leaks quite badly at that. This leaks a good amount of air threw the middle seam where it’s put together. You can feel the leak blowing from a distance.

I bought this to vent my cnc laser engraver. Disaster because it just sucked smoke from inside the case an blew it all over the room. Covering this thing in duct tape and now it works but it’s ugly. An to have to modify something straight out the box is never fun.

It’s quiet, works flawlessly and endlessly. It doesn’t work with speed controllers, it will slow marginally and then stop dead and hum/groan so this fan is full speed only. It preforms great at full speed however and I am very happy with this, so much so that this is my second one.

I have 1 on the intake with a modded/hacked house filter and the exhaust one is hooked to a carbon filter. I have another fan I paid more than twice as much for and it slows nicely with a speed controller but it maxes out at 100 CFM so I must say it again.

I am very happy with this fan.

This fan is simply the 195cfm model. But it is super quiet, and efficient. It will clear the odor 100% of a 2×2 or 3×3 (with carbon filter) within an hour. Or simply exchange all of the air within 5 minutes.

For the price, you can’t beat it. I definitely would recommend this fan for any small grow. A 6″ is not needed unless you’re running a cool tube. And even then you could get a 6″to 4″ adapter and it will do the job just fine.

Fit perfect with existing bolts that were used to hold the original panel. The build quality was excellent with no odor, no flash, no burrs or sharp edges. It was nice because iIdidn’t have a filament printer to make this myself and my Photon was too small.

You can make a 2-piece design of this and then you would have to glue it together. So this was perfect.

Stays out of the way with the wall mount. doesn’t draw too much power. It has 3 settings settings I use two of them for proper ventilation in my smoking room. Successfully pushes the cigarette smoke out the room! At this price and quality of product You would be foolish to purchase a fan anywhere else! Plan on buying more for rest of the home.

I bought this fan to go in my greenhouse that is a 10×12. I will need to buy another one to get the coverage that I need. It is a good value, for what you get. I looked at other fans that, one fan would have done the job but at a much higher price.

So even having to buy too is still a great deal. Excellent Product.

I purchased this inline duct fan to resolve heating/cooling issues in our master bedroom above the garage. I installed the fan on 5” duct work and used 2 feet of insulated noise reducing flexible ducting.

Only place to install the fan was about 3 feet from the take off duct at the furnace, where the fan has to move it about 20 feet to the bedroom register. Atmosphere website has full specs for the product which I used heavily to research my purchase.

The 10 year warranty also moved me to this purchase as well. Solved our heating and cooling issue and moves a lot of air. Very low noise from the unit it self. No vibrations from the unit – I did place neoprene on the mounting bracket as a precaution.

Only noise is a massive increase in air flow to the bedroom. I also installed atmosphere’s varispeed triac switch, since I needed to turn the fan to low-Med because it works too good. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.

I have used can fan, can fan Max, and a couple of lower-end generic centrifugal fans. This is the quietest centrifugal fan I have ever heard. At full speed it is quiet, unobtrusive. Coupled with a speed controller set to approximately 50% the sound is practically unnoticeable.

The integrated gaskets for connecting to ducting or carbon filters works really well. In all aspects this is an excellent product and performance is top-shelf.

IMO this line of product takes nothing more that the Vortex name. With high hopes after reading all the hype. I ordered several, upon opening the first box, I had a strong feeling that these were no where close to the other Vortex Fans that I’ve used for many many years, some which have been running for decades w/o any issues.

These fans felt like a cheap toy compared to my other Vortex Fans. Clinging to any hope that I might be wrong, I installed three. Within a month they were all three had broken or stopped working and were removed and thrown into the trash.

I saw the reviews were mostly positive so I gave it a shot, guess I can’t be too mad at the price point but it blows about as strong as an 80 yr old smoker. Would not advise buying this fan if you actually need a fan….

I. E temperatures over 80 degrees…. Had it right on my face on the strongest mode (only 2 modes technically), and was begging for something more. Those fans from Disney world with the misters would do you better….

Would not recommend this fan for anyone planning to use it below the mason dixon line. Mind you it’s July… but it wasn’t even remotely cutting it… luckily I used it on a backyard camp trip cuz if I had taken it and been forced to use it overnight I would have been raging, and definitely not sleeping….

Probably is plenty of air for not hot places… but absolutely don’t waste your time if you’re anywhere above 80 degrees….

I was shocked that this little fan could put out such a powerful amount of blowing air. I was hesitant to buy it at first but figured I’d give it a shot. Very glad I did! It’s going to make summer camping a breeze!! Going to get another next week! The three light modes are a big plus as well and the fact that you can rotate the lights??!.

What a bright idea!! I Love it!! Has an optional plug but mine was missing the adapter for it. Going to be running on the batteries anyway so no biggie. Highly recommend!.

I have now ordered and have to return two of these fans. The first arrived via FedEx in a damaged, dirty box. The on/off/speed switch was completely stripped. As soon as the batteries were inserted the fan started and the only way it shut off was to remove the batteries.

Same thing with the adapter (which is not included). I returned the first one and am waiting for a replacement. I wish I had asked for a refund. The second one just arrived via FedEx. The packaging was fine (although different from the first fan) but again, the on/off/speed switch is stripped and does not work.

The box clearly states that it is a two speed fan and the switch strip indicates settings for on/off and two speeds. I own three other O2COOL fans and the switches are much more substation. I am disappointed as the built in lights on this model would have been very helpful.

I was looking for a fan to replace my Honeywell TurboForce Air Circulator (a little black fan that’s true to its name) because it’s SOOOO LOUD, even on the lowest setting–those of you who own one know what I’m talking about).

It probably isn’t the most optimal fan for the space in which it was used, but it’s what I had to work with. To keep my laptop cool while being used, all-day-long, I’d have the Honeywell fan on and couldn’t always hear the audio, even at 100% volume, so I’d have to put on my headphones, which tethered me to my laptop.

This Lasko fan is really quiet on the low setting, giving off only a gentle, low-frequency hum, and isn’t much louder on the high setting. Air output is strong, sending out a cool breeze that travels quite a distance.

The fan tilts up and down, and can swivel 360 degrees. I haven’t used the base stand yet, but the clip is secure when clamped horizontally. I can hear the audio from my laptop clearly now, even with the fan a mere 4 – 5 inches from it, and I’m no longer on a 4″ headphone leash.

As for maintenance, I’ve only had the fan for a few days now, but when the dust accumulates, the front metal grill that’s held in place with four plastic tabs should pop right off. Very happy with this purchase, and would definitely recommend it to others.

I wish I had purchased this fan a long time ago. It’s perfect and does it’s job wonderfully. I’ve checked out other personal fans and none of the others has the flexibility that this one does. The heavy duty clip holds anywhere securely, yet is easily moved when needed.

And when they say it is quiet, it truly is. I have it attached to a shelving unit right next to my chair and I can’t hear it at all. And I am not hard of hearing. It swivels, bends and rotates so you can direct it’s wonderful breeze anywhere you want with no difficulty at all.

And with two speeds I’m able to pick the perfect speed. I cool my home down at night by opening windows, so that in the daytime I have no need to turn on costly air conditioning. When in the late afternoon it warms up a bit I’m able to turn on my personal fan right next to me and problem solved.

I am immediately comfortable again. It’s great, I really do love this wonderful fan. As they say:Try it you’ll like it. ! ! ! !.

When it comes to these 6 fans, I have yet to find one that didnt live up to my expectations. Both the Lasko and Air King (Air King is Laskos division for industrial and commercial duty fans) are down right fantastic.

They are silent and both so much air for the light noise they make. The only thing I would say to improve these fans is to make them in different colors. I would love to have a black one or even a purple one! I can put up with white because these are great fans, but all that aside theyre more than worth it.

This is a very nice, attractive fan that works well and creates a good breeze. It is versatile because it will run on electricity, on the internal battery that will recharge itself, or on regular batteries you can load into the base of the fan.

The fan is very lightweight without the batteries, but quite heavy with them. My issues: the control switch on the side is very difficult to switch on and off. It is virtually impossible to turn the fan on and off without picking the fan up, turning the fan so the edge with the switch is facing you, and then using a fingernail to slide the switch to the needed position.

The second issue with this fan, for me, but maybe not for you, is that if you turn off the power source feeding the fan while it is switched “on” it will automatically switch to battery power and continue to run.

In order to turn the fan “off” you must manually slide the switch from the “on” to the “off” position. Since it is designed to continue to run when there is no electrical power (for example, during a power failure) I can understand why it works this way.

This function makes it inconvenient for MY purposes because I want to turn off the fan using a remote control wall switch (so I don’t have to get up and manually turn it on and off). Overall a good fan and a nice breeze.

Depending on your purposes, a few potential design flaws.

I should have known better when it said “56 hours” it will only run “5-6 hours” on the battery. That said for a little fan it can move air well and so is a great camping fan. It’s all plastic which makes it a bit fragile feeling.

Flexible positioning with standing feet, a tillable fan, and a handle to prop it up. Nice that it has flexibility in how it’s powered. It might be possible to replace the rechargeable whenever it dies (they say it can’t but you can see it in there) either way it can still run off the adaptor so I think we’ll get a lot of use our of this fan.
