20 Best Fan For Cooling Bedroom (2023 Updated)

I bought my 1st 783 2 months ago. I just ordered 2 more the other day. The way the fan circulates air around the room is amazing and it’s not loud at all. It’s extremely powerful and the air is noticeably cooler.

It’s perfect for the bedroom, the hum of the fan on high drowns out most of the outside noises and makes for some good long uninterrupted sleep. Sleep is so good I bought a total of 3 of these, one for each bedroom.

I highly recommend this fan.

This is my fifht Vornado. I still have the other four and use them daily. I love the design of these fans. This last one I purchased (#783) has a nice, unique stand. Unfortunately, this fan does not put out the powerful circulating air that the same full size Vornado I have had for years does.

These fans last for years. They are awesome. Just wish Vornado made the full size with more air circulating power like it used to have.

I bought this fan for ‘parts’ and got it running like new. Worth the time and effort because these fans are: 1. EXPENSIVE and 2. AWESOME. My whole house is full of Vornado fans of various models. They are the best fans you can get for your home and their warranty is even better!!! This is one of their larger fans, and it MOVES air.

It’s great. It allows me to operate only one window AC instead of two in summer, and moves the warmer air that gathers at ceiling level evenly throughout the apartment.

The 753 Large Air Circulator will blow you away. you can feel the air circulating in the room. This fan is powerful and keeps my room cool. I have a room that is sun facing/2nd floor. With the AC on 67 the room is still warm.

I added this fan and it stays comfortable with the AC on 69. I have a nice cooling breeze circulating in my master bedroom.

Great products. I have almost exclusively purchased Vornado fans, and when I have purchased others, I have been disappointed with the quality or how long they last. Vornado is great and the retro series is very cool.

They are a little pricey, but WORTH every cent.

I absolutely LOVE these Vornado Air Circulators. I bought my first one over 2; years ago and it’s still going strong. I had two terrier dogs in the past 21 years that had Pulmonary Fibrosis. The key was to keep the temperature in my house between 67-68 degrees.

These Vornados were perfect to help me do this. At night, I would put one on low and direct it at my dog. This helped so much, this kept him cool and he slept like a baby! I shared this online with our Westie Lung Disease group and everyone purchased at least one or two of these.

They also love them. These are written up as a “must buy” in our notes regarding the management of this disease. Vornado, you made our dogs lives so much better and I I will be forever grateful for such a great product.

Out of a 1-10 and 10 being the highest, we rate them an 11! Now I have the whole room air circulator on my nightstand because I am in menopause. It keeps me cool all night and I cannot sleep without it.

When I travel by car,it goes with me every time! These are very easy to clean, they snap out and the dust is easily removed. This product reduces the temperature in a room by a few degrees. I always have my central air conditioning on in the summer and it really helps circulate the air in a room.

In the winter, it circulates the air. This is not a fan, but an air circulator which is so much more. A++++++++ You must try this product, you will love it!.

I bought this fan just before Christmas as i have another vornado non pedestal fan that works great. Now the fan on this does everything it is supposed to- however the base is needlessly fickle and two of the five feet do not touch the floor.

The design of the base is that you sit the feet in side compartments and turn a knob on the bottom to tighten it… it is hard to make sure all feet stay sitting in their place while you tighten it, you get three in and the other two won’t fit so you have to undo it again and they all fall out.

I don’t know how this design got past blueprints, if it had a normal sturdy base this fan would get 5 stars. Can’t believe I paid over $200 for a fan with such a design fault.

The legs have never stayed on. I’m constantly having to unscrew the plastic bolt out then lay the fan down put legs back in trying to keep them from popping out as I’m confusing reassembling the floor legs and tighten this back in.

Now I’m down to leaning it on something to. prevent fall overs at night. Don’t want it to break totally, or new an electric a fire hazard. And all this , That defeats most of the fans purpose of total air flow being clear.

I didn’t get around to shipping it back in time, because I’d physically have to go stand in line at post office where I live. There are No mail returns from my apt complex and no FedEx or UPS in my town it’s more than 20 miles away.

We are in a virus pandemic. I’m a breast cancer and lymes patient. Scary to go out anywhere that requires you have to stand in line in public to return things that don’t work right !!!. Just informed this week my apartment complex of 60 has 4 quarantined renters with covid ( just great!!) Really wanted this product to be a succeed.

In all my years shopping with QVC I’ve only returned 3 items and been disappointed in less than 6 out of hundreds. I bought this based on the companies reputation. At 63 years of age , I’m not into buying anything that won’t last.

My apartment runs hot , located with large windows facing the South in addition. the cancer med I’m on messes with my hormones and causes excessive heat in my body and top that with having to wear a full face sleep apnea machine mask to breath while I sleep.

I have A. C. But need something to circulate the air in my bedroom. I live in the Midwest and don’t turn my thermostat on until it’s below zero outside , because it just stays hot in the apartment, I was so looking forward to gaining some physical relief from this fan, my objective was to have it standing right next to my king bed on the side I sleep on.

But because the legs don’t hold the fan up without coming out I have now leaned the circulator fan against a leg on a small trampoline I leaned against my closet doors so the back of the fan can still pull air through.

Believe me it took weeks to try different ways to get into a leaning on something not to fall and still blow towards me during sleep. If I move the fan to get in my closet I have to start all over fanagling, it to stand up again.

I just wanted something quiet ( which it is) not giant to fit in a path to my bed that stands up on its own ( that’s basic which it does not.

I bought the 533 model in 2020 from either Home Depot or Lowe’s. It worked well when I was using it during the warm weather months. All of a sudden, here we are September 2020 and the fan blades are having trouble getting started.

I’ve taken it apart once already to get to the motor to drop some oil it. Worked like new for 4 days, and on the 5th day, blades had trouble spinning upon turning fan on. I’m going to have to buy a new one again, if this keeps up.

Bought this to replace my previous one, (“RE” brand, also from Target) which lasted me for over 10 YEARS! This new model is nearly identical and so far (after a few months) I’m mostly satisfied. There are two downsides to this new one though: 1) “Quality” – the old one had a full metal cage around the fan blade with metal latches that allowed you to disassemble/clean it.

Unfortunately the cage on this “updated” version, is half plastic (backside) and half metal (front). And instead of the metal latches holding the 2 pieces together, now the metal front just snaps into the back and is “secured” by plastic notches (so being careful/gentle when assembling/disassembling is critical).

2) “Noise” – this new one is definitely louder (regardless of mode), compared to the one we just retired. But if you’re a “fan” of white/fan-noise, then it shouldn’t be a problem. In summary, for the price, I’d say you can’t get much better – I simply hope I can get 10 years out of this one too (but my prediction is probably closer to the 5-year mark).

I bought the same fan several years ago and I placed it in my bedroom on a small folding table. I turn it on to dry clothes that I handwash and hang them on the bedroom door on a hook. It not only dries the clothes but also adds moisture in the apartment which is good especially in the wintertime.

I bought spare one just in case the first one stops running. I also run the fan at night while I’m sleeping and point it towards my bed for better air circulation. I sleep a lot better with it on. Highly recommend this fan.

We also bought a floor model fan in the same brand and have it running in our living room to circulate the air. My husband has to sleep in his recliner due to rotor cuff pain in his shoulders so he can’t lie down in bed.

He likes the cool breeze blowing on him. So all in all this is a very good brand.

This small fan kicks out a lot of air. The blades on some inexpensive fans aren’t angled correctly and they “cut” or “slice” the air instead of “pushing” it. This fan has low-med-hi speeds and is just an all-around good performer.

This is my second one that I use in a second room of the house. It isn’t big enough to move the air in a large room, but would be able to target different spaces within a large room. I use at night to target me and the dog (yes, she sleeps on the bed; doesn’t yours?) in a small 12 x 12 bedroom with the window open.

(We’re old fashioned at our house–no air conditioning. ) I’ve had no problems with this fan, it came at a great price, and it looks good. I’m not looking at the construction of the fan as I write this.

If the grill on the front of the fan can’t be easily detached to dust the blades periodically, I’m going to try neatly using twist ties at five or six places to attach the grill front to the back grill.

The twist ties have to be twisted tight and then neatly folded under. Don’t know what a safety engineer would think of this but it’s worth a try, for me anyway.

Love this fan. Got rid of my old clunky noisy ones. Its quiet. Low profile. Love the 4 speeds and all the other features. I now own 6 of these fans. My daughter owns 1. Thats why I bought them. I fell in love with hers.

She has other brands of tower fans. But this one is the best by far. Plus my 1 year old grandson cannot put his fingers in this fan. Great fan and great price.

The big fan works great but its a little wobbly on the base. Its Nice having a remote. Its pretty quiet so we can leave it on with a timer at night. I dont think it makes a noise when it shuts off with the timer but the beep is quite loud when you you turn it on and off manually.

Its great getting the extra little one but it must have gotten knocked around or dropped before it was packed because it had a crack on the side which must’ve caused a piece to break inside. We had to open up the fan to remove the broken piece of plastic to stop the rattling noise.

Luckily it didnt affect the fan motor so it works fine.

Perfect for what I wanted. Only negative is that the base is wobbly. If that was not the case, I would have given 5 stars. Actually does not affect the fans performance. I would seriously recommend.

This is my third lil blizzard and I’m finally fed up. I use this every night for the white noise to help me sleep, but after a while it’s just stops running. I turn it on and nothing happens. So I take it apart and clean it, and that maybe works the first time, but then it squeaks and rattles and still doesn’t consistently turn on.

The squeaks are so high-pitched and cricket-like, I just can’t take it. This eventually happens with every lil blizzard I get, so I’m never buying another one again. Won’t sleep well tonight at all, had to turn it off because of the awful sounds it made.

Can’t get a different fan until morning.

I purchased one of these fans a couple years ago and it has functioned great. I recently purchased two more, and both seem to have slight issues. While oscillating, one of the fans slows its motors speed when turning to one side and almost turns off.

The second makes a metal clicking noise when oscillating. Not much of an issue but worth mentioning one of the speed controllers was put on backwards (fan speed 2 is actually fan speed 1). These definitely have lower build quality than the same fan I purchased years ago.

I was looking for a quiet fan to put by the bedside. After returning a couple that said they were quiet but actually made clunky noises at other stores I went in to BBB and found this fan on disolay.

It is perfectly quiet (as in smooth running) and puts out a nice flow of air. I was so glad that the store had fans running on display so I could see them in action.

Honeywell’s Turbo Power Table Fan is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I have to sleep with a fan on every night, which can be troublesome for when I travel. This fan is the perfect size to take along with me.

It is nice and compact, but still packs a punch. This tiny fan has plenty of power, and the loudness of the fan is spot on, not too loud, and not too soft. It oscillates flawlessly, and you can tilt the head of the fan up or down.

This is helpful when you don’t necessarily want the cool air blowing on you, but still want the white noise. This fan now goes with me traveling to houses, hotels, or in our trailer for camping. It really is perfect for me!.

I live in the mountains and we don’t have air conditioning. In the summer on warmer days we use fans. I’ve tried a lot of different fans and this is by far my favorite fan. What I love about it is it’s powerful yet quiet.

It tilts and rotates and you really can feel like up to 30ft away. We had a tower style fan in our bedroom but we could only feel a little bit of the breeze as our bed is high. We use the fan in our bedroom on our chest and it is powerful enough to blow across the room to our bed.

It’s really a nice adjustable powerful fan that does an excellent job cooling down a room and circulating air.

this fan took about 5 minutes to set up. you do need a screwdriver to attach the base but a very simple task. once set up – light weight and easy to move around. it was easy to understand the instructions and different modes.

there is a “regular” mode – where air blows at a consistent speed and then a “natural” and “night time” one where its toggles between high and low. the fan runs so quiets and did oscillate. it nicely can be tucked away since its tall and narrow.

easy to move from room to room but since its so quiet i would get more than one.

Purchased three of these thinking, What a bargain! Well, a bargain they were not. I returned all three within days- they are made of flimsy plastic. If turned on at the highest setting, these things shook back and forth rather violently and loudly.

The breeze emitted was not even all that powerful to boot. Total garbage. Invest just a little bit more money in a fan that is sturdy and will actually function well, and one that will hopefully last for many years to come.

I have a sneaking suspicion this model is on borrowed time.

I had to purchase this item twice. The original fan I purchased was damaged and clearly out in the box with a crack in it. I should have realized when the original tape was not on there. So I am a little disappointed that Target would even sell an item like this.

So I do have faith, and purchased another one which is fine. Within an hour I had to visit my Target twice. Kind of disappointed that I haven’t heard any response since this is the second time I rated my purchase.

During this heat wave, I am enjoying my Lasko 20 inch Circulating Box Fan. It has three speeds — 1 (Low), 2 (Medium) and 3 (High). It is exactly what I expected. It keeps the air moving and provides a nice breeze to help keep the place cool.

I highly recommend the Lasko 20 inch Circulating Box Fan, even if you already have an air conditioned space. It supplements the air conditioner to help keep things cool and breezy!.

This fan was just what I needed to move around the house to any room I need it in. It was easy to assemble being just the base. Comes with a remote which I ended up velcroing onto the unit so as not to lose it.

Too bad the manufacturer doesn’t create a small pocket right on the unit to store that remote so it doesn’t get lost. Good value.

Needed a fan last summer, so I got this one. The first one I received, was broken upon arrival, the fan part wasn’t connected to the base and the connection points on both sides were in thousands of pieces.

So I called Walmart and they sent me a new one. The new one came in and surprisingly it seemed ok. I don’t remember seeing any cracks or anything. This fan can really blow some air! I put it on my tv stand and I could feel it all the way across the room.

For the most part during summer 2021, I didn’t need my AC as much thanks to this fan. With the exception of cleaning it once in a while with a duster, it really didn’t get moved around at all. I just put it in one spot and forgot about it.

I went back at the beginning of summer 2022 to turn it on and it basically disintegrated at those same connection points. You it wasn’t even a year since I got it and already need a new one. Unfortunately, I don’t have money to replace it so thankfully duct tape is holding it together for now.

When I do get a new fan, I can tell you it won’t be a Honeywell one again. I wish I had listened to the other reviews and passed on this one instead of wasting my money.

Nice small fan. Will fit on a table, counter, shelf, or a step. I read reviews for this fan on different sites, some claiming it was an extremely strong force of wind for such a small fan, but wish they would state which type of fan they were comparing it to.

Imo, I wouldn’t describe it that way. I’d recommend it because it helps circulate the air better.

This was a game changer for me! I’m never ever using a box fan or regular oscillator fan again. The Woozoo SC15T is so powerful! I usually have the ceiling fan on and a box fan facing me at night but I tried it out and switched to this one and night and brrr I was chilly lol I had to turn it away from me.

I felt that I needed this more in the bathroom because I’m a sweater especially right after a shower no matter how cool the water is or while doing my hair or makeup. So, I need that direct cool air on me and this #woozoo is perfect! I’m so happy and actually relaxed now getting ready.

This is one of the nicest table top smaller size fans I’ve ever seen. This fan is powerful, very quite and has multiple settings. What this one has that many table top models similar do not is the oscillating feature.

There is a stand portion (lower portion seen in pic) that is stationary and then the upper base areas moves side to side in three different setting. You have three other settings if you want the fan but you do not want it to oscillate.

If you want a small, powerful and really quiet fan. I think you will be pleased. As for me, I ordered this fan for my dog’s room. All said, I order this fan to make a loud constant noise so he would relax and not be nervous with every little sound at night or when I’m gone during the day.

This one is a bit quieter than I had hope (which is really a positive for most of you) but I still really like it because its in my laundry room and the oscillating feature is really nice to help my hanged items dry faster.
