20 Best Fake Ferns For Outdoors (2023 Updated)

These are very pretty and full, however there is not a standard basket and the baskets are very cheap looking. I received two different brackets. Customer care just wanted to return them. I called and they still said to return them or keep the ugly two baskets (when they’re to hang side by side) with a 10% discount.

I’m hoping they make this right, and possibly improve the baskets, because the 1980’s is calling and want their ugly baskets back. Wish I could post a picture, but I can’t. Wish they had nice looking containers for these beautiful ferns.

Then they’d be 5 stars.

Beware that pictures do not match what is given. The customer service is awful and non responsive and evasive. I ordered 2 hanging ferns which came in two different baskets. The baskets are ugly and 1980’s/cheap dollar store baskets.

For this price I should at least get two ugly matching baskets. There is NO WAY for them to be able to give me two identical baskets. The company only operates via email and will not communicate with warehouse on getting something matching.

Utterly a waste of my time trying to get two identical items. Beware, things will not be the same when ordering to and they will not find you two to be the same!.

For the price, I was expecting this to be a fabulous plant. What I got was only ok. Several issues: 1) there was absolutely no protective material around the planter, so sadly when I got my order, one of the planter’s feet was broken off; 2) as the website explains, the foliage is shipped straight up and the customer is expected to arrange it.

I’m still having difficulty getting mine to look natural. 3) some of the leaves are missing green dye in places. I feel this should have been caught in their QA process. 4) Many of the leaflettes were bent in crazy directions as a result of packing, and they absolutely will not flatten out so they look natural.

5) some of the tiny wires in back of the leaflettes weren’t glued onto the leaf, making it look cheap. 6) the brown branches are cheap plastic; would it have been so difficult to have these be made of a natural material in order to make this piece look more lifelike? Overall, the plant does look real, unless you’re right up on it — but I did expect better quality and more careful shipping for the price that’s being charged.

I will probably not be purchasing anything else from Nearly Natural.

I’m a professional Floral Designer, retired after 35years. Silk flowers and plants can be quite pricey, depending on your wants and needs. I retired to Arizona which leaves not much chance of growing much other than cactus and succulents.

I longed for the look of green growing plants. I saw these on Zulilly and thought they looked very good for the price. So I figured it was only time spent if they needed to be returned. I was so pleasantly surprised at their quality and realistic look.

They are absolutely spot on and I ordered 5 more all different species to give me a nice variety in my covered garden. Some of them claim to be UV resistant which is a bonus. However the longevity is the key and to achieve that I cover each leaf with a coating of polyurethane, this prolong the life of plant for a very long time without leaf color bleaching out of the leaf.

Nearly Natural really should spend more time getting pictures of their plants in real life settings. Not just for a better idea of scale, but for coloring as well. The picture of it at the top does NOT do them justice.

These look as real as can be, even “close up,” as in standing next to it. They are nice and full. I’ve already put two of them in urns on either side of my front door on my porch. I’ve been buying real ones for 2 years now, only to watch them eventually die when it gets colder.

I even brought the first set in for winter. still died. Took longer, but result was the same. Now that I put these at the door, I can’t tell the difference when I walk pass them from the real ones. I can’t wait to put the others I bought in my hanging planters for my front porch.

If you get these, make sure to tell any house sitter not to water them!.

It adds a wonderful splash of beautiful color and hanging by the living room window looks so alive and inviting. You want to go up to it and smell the flowers. They look so real !! “R”. P. S. I plan to add little white lites for the holidays to accent it even more.

Dazzling Service! Speediest of Deliveries! We ordered four of this same flower about four years ago – for our porch on the West Wing! It was a giant hit! It fooled everyone! I felt sorry that I stepped on their cake by telling them they were were silk! Should have kept my mouth shut! They thought that I had a terrific green thumb, and that I must have a lot of time to spend to be able to keep them so well groomed.

We just added onto the porch, and needed an extra basket. Everything about the newest basket was identical to the previous four. They are positively magnificent, and I would hang them everywhere – all over place! On every shepherd’s hook I own, and possible on a lot of tree branches!.

If you are in an apartment that is DULL, not exciting, ugly baseboard, HIDE them and bring your home to life. I did just that and placed artificial flowers and plants between furniture and covered up ugly spots and brought my whole home to life in a blaze of colors.

Hanging flowers/plants, posh, just more for your money to spread around. I have a guide dog and I kill any real plants or flowers in 1 day. With these neither my German Shepherd or I can kill them, just pick them up and shake off dog hair and dust, works great, I love this set the most WELL worth the extra cost.

What there is is of it looks great, but, as noted by previous reviewers, it is not as full as the picture. However, still worth buying.

Perfect for the corned of my family room. Its help make it feel like home and my grandma ended up buying one as well ☺

Received these faux staghorn ferns today, absolutely the most realistic faux plants I have ever seen, they are large and beautifilly made, the detail is exquisite. I will order from this company, Nearly Natural, again but NOT through QVC.

This is the second time within a month that QVC has neglected to send shipping info on to the outside vendor which resulted in extended shipping time, all problems were with QVC both times. Do not hesitate to order directly from Nearly Natural for beautiful, natural looking faux plants.

They are large and just beautiful. They are easy to position the leaves and then they stay in place. They are not wimpy at all. Look very real. You woukd have to touch them to see if they are not. Great.

V. Large, V. Real, A LOT OF LEAVES!! This is friggin awesome! From 1 ft away it looks absolutely REAL. I bought 4, added another false staghorn style— whew it is great!

I wanted something 6 ft. tall, but this was the largest item I could get for the type of plant I wanted in my space. The item arrived quickly and packed well enough to protect it but not with so much extra material that I felt guilty.

In terms of looks, it is as pictured on the site here. No one would be fooled by it standing next to it, but from 6 feet away or more, or a quick glance, it’s very realistic. It was lighter than I expected (14.

2 lbs total shipping weight), but it was stable enough to stand on its own with no fear of it tipping over. It certainly brightened up my apartment and was very pretty. So why the one star? Because it’s only 4 ft.

tall. And that’s not a guess on my part or me being too dim to understand that you lose some height depending on how low you bend the topmost leaves. It actually came with multiple tags saying it was 4 ft.

tall. At that height, it was definitely overpriced (a bit over $300 when I bought it), but it was so pretty that I called customer service and said I might be willing to keep it if the price difference were reasonable.

Unfortunately, the customer service agent didn’t find a 4-foot version in the database. After some searching, she concluded that there is no 5-foot plant of this type on offer and the Nordstrom website was wrong.

(A search of the manufacturer’s website supports this. ) This was weeks ago now, but as I write this the listing still shows as a 5-foot plant. In my opinion, $300+ is far too much for this 4-foot plant, but that’s a judgement call.

Even for a 5-foot plant it’s a stretch, but I was willing to go that far because my options locally are so limited as to be nonexistent. It is a very pretty item and well made, but you can’t trust the listing.

I don’t doubt that this was an honest error by some data entry person desperately trying to get their work done quickly, but this needs to be corrected so that shoppers can be confident that they’re getting what they think they’re paying for.

My first purchase from Nearly Natural. Plant looks very realistic. The container and rocks that came with it are a perfect compliment. ONLY negative – but not a deal breaker and I will not lower the rating because of it – the unit did not come ready for instant placement; had to spend extra time “grooming” or arranging the leaves.

Provides vertical height w/out taking too much real estate width for a room. Highly recommend (and am very picky about fake plants that I use in decor). Plan to purchase more from this company.

I like it well enough to keep it. It’s not as thick as the photo and not exactly the same shape. There aren’t as many leaves as in the photo. It takes quite a bit of arranging to get it to look good, but I liked it well enough to not go through with the hassle of returning it.

Also, the rocks that come with it to put in the pot are covered in some gritty, dirty sand of unknown origin. But, I’m keeping it. Overpriced for what you get. Wish I would have gone into the store and bought one from there so I could see what I was getting.

It’s just too much of a hassle to return via any postal service so it stays.

I am so disappointed. First I ordered the white cherry bonzai, which was beautiful but missing pieces. I set it up for an exchange and in the meantime they stopped carrying it so they issued a refund instead.

So then I ordered this. and it is not even close to real touch. It feels like cheap plastic, not like leaves. To make matters worse, it doesn’t even look real. I ordered it because the other reviews were so positive, but that is far from my experience.

My daughter recommended Vickerman artificial plants as “some of the best” in her opinion. She was right. Ordered the above ferns for an antique planter and they look lovely and real. The upside – no mess, no need for watering when we’re gone on trips.

Quite pleased with Vickerman products! Full of fronds (51 ea) will work well in arrangements, baskets, or hanging pots. Will order more products from this vendor. Good quality for great price. Will definitely recommend.

These fern arrived promptly after I ordered and are made very well. Sturdy and ready to shape\bend and fluff for the look you want. Impressed with how real they look on my porch that gets no sun. I Love these!.

Really loving the quality of faux plants from Threshold lately. Although pricy, these are plants I will have out year round. I would suggest getting these in the store if you can. Had to reorder twice because of them arriving broken, finally found some in the store to replace the broken replacements.

Target needs to start padding shipped items more.

Purchased this alongside multiple other faux plants from Target from a different brand. This one was about $10 more than the others and well worth the increase in price. It’s much larger and fuller than the other cheaper versions and the leaves look SO real! Legit looks exactly as pictured.

As I’ve found with other faux plants from Target, the measurements shown aren’t quite right, so I took off a star. The plant is much smaller than listed, but I assumed that when ordering based on past experience and think it’s the perfect size.

I’d say it’s more like 12″ x 12″. Highly recommend this plant, and I’m hoping they come out with other similarly styled faux plants.

I ordered this plant online and was very disappointed when it arrived. The fern leaves were very “plastic” looking and most were bent or broken. I attempted to bend the leaves to make them look better but they did not stay in place.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because the wooden base is a nice feature. It’s lightweight and makes it look nicer, but unfortunately this was just a little too fake looking for $20. Will be returning.
