Best Fade For Long Hair (2024 Updated)

I am VERY PICKY about my Haircare and I have color treated type 2A blonde hair. I normally use Verb Hydrating shampoo and conditioner regularly because it never let’s me down, BUT I wanted to try something new.

Im always anxious when doing so because a shampoo and/or conditioner can make or break your hair. believe it or not! I decided to purchase based on reviews as well as personal experience with Joico. Currently, I am using the Verb Hydrating Shampoo then after that I apply about quarter size of the Joico conditioner on mid lengths to ends and rake and squeeze through.

I let sit for about 2 to 5 mins and rinse with cold water. This continues to prevent fading of my blonde, makes my hair smell so good, color last longer between treatments, so hydrating, no breakage at all and my hair is SO smooth and no frizz what so ever.

Outstanding product and now want to purchase the shampoo!!.

It smelled great and lathered well. I also felt like my color was a touch brighter. However, after washing, I was half way through the drying process when my scalp and roots started feeling very waxy and greasy.

My roots were heavy looking and stuck together. It was not giving me fresh clean hair vibes at all. It took about two days for the greasy feel to semi-wear off. I’m sad I wasted a hair washing day on this shampoo.

I returned it immediately.

I love Joico’s Anti Fade Shampoo but stopped using it for a while when they put SLS back into the formula. Was so happy when they went back to an SLS free formula so had to buy it again. Hair is left soft, manageable and the new scent is divine.

Worth trying if you have coloured hair as I find my hair colour lasts longer between touch ups when using this shampoo as it does not cause colour to wash out so quickly.

I usually like all Loreal products I try, but I’ve yet to fall in love with anything from them, other than the total repair five deep conditioner. I stumbled upon this leave in and purchased it bc it claimed to help grow your hair while also offering heat protection.

Idk if this actually grew my hair or if it was due to Quarantine / not being able to have my hair cut, but this for sure makes my hair so soft and smooth before and after I blow dry and style. I was curious how this would perform as a “one and done” product since I’m locked indoors for who knows how long.

I was so shocked at how smooth and fluffy / voluminous, but not frizzy, my hair was the next day when I woke up! I went to sleep once my hair was about 80% air dried and was actually sad that I had nowhere to go bc it was such an amazing natural hair day! This does have silicone in it but I don’t find this to be heavy at all and trust me when I tell you I really pile this on my hair.

No matter how much I put, I rarely get that greasy/heavy feeling. I have a medium thickness to my hair with a slight wave towards the end, so this allows me to wear my natural hair bc it does a great job of eliminating frizz.

Plus, the price and scent are just so right. Bottom line, I highly recommend this.

This leave in treatment came in a colorful package and had a pull-up lid, which made it easy to control the amount of product. The consistency is creamy (but not as thick as usual hair masks) and is supposed to be full of vitamins.

I used it every second day after washing my hair with the shampoo and conditioner. I applied it to dry hair because this awesome leave in treatment also protects hair from heat damage. What I noticed after applying it to dry hair, was that the product didn’t fully absorb.

Some parts of my hair were sticking together and I had to comb the product out. It works well when applied on wet hair, since it then absorbs quickly. But nonetheless of the applying method, it makes hair look healthy and I am also a huge fan of the scent which a bit on the sweeter side.

It’s a miracle! A hair product that actually does what the bottle says it’s supposed to do! My hair has never looked healthier. It only takes a very small amount, rubbed between hands, and massaged through hair.

Once hair is dry, it looks shiny, healthy, and freshly trimmed. Before finding No Hair Cut Cream, growing my hair long meant regular trims, otherwise it always looked stringy and kind of gross. (But trimming your hair when you’re trying to grow it long is like taking one step forward and two steps back!) This product works—today my long hair is soft and looks so healthy.

I continue to use No Hair Cut Cream even when my hair is shorter and I’m not necessarily growing it out. It just keeps my hair looking beautiful. Side Note: This cream was great during the pandemic closures in 2020– when salons were closed… and my hair was growing longer and longer… but I couldn’t get a trim.

The cream kept my hair looking healthy the entire time, even though I hadn’t had a trim or haircut in nearly one year! Bonus: It smells wonderful—Like a fresh haircut (hair salon smell!). I definitely recommend this product! Thanks, L’Oréal! Please don’t ever discontinue this cream.

This is literally the only thing that got out old semi-permanent hair color that wouldn’t budge. You would think semipermanent would wash out easily but this particular one didn’t. I tried all the internet “tricks”; vitamin C powder, baking soda, other clarifying shampoos, dandruff shampoo etc.

This shampoo wasn’t drying or damaging either. I did have to use a processing cap and leave it on my head 45 minutes, rinsed out, then used a deep conditioner.

I’ve tried sooo many color protecting shampoos even from salons and they seem to strip semi permanent color out no matter how cold of water I use. I’m so glad I tried this I notice a lot less fading plus it actually cleans ur scalp and hair.

Most color protecting shampoos make your hair heavy and greasy and leave a film but this actually makes ur scalp and hair feel clean which is important Bc I have a very oily scalp. I believe this is the only shampoo that actually was made to protect semi perm hair color which is awesome since most color protecting shampoos are formulated for Demi and perm hair color and not necessarily semi.

My scalp is sensitive as well and I haven’t had any issues 10/10 for me.

I have colored copper hair. If u know, u know it’s very hard to keep the color in. I thought this was a good price and the brand is known for outrageous colors. Unfortunately, after trying many MANY times, it always made my hair so weirdly greasy at the back.

I tried so many different methods and no matter what it just made my hair look weighed down and even more worn out. Had to return.

I could not be more pleased with this product! I love my purple hair but not so much the fading and keeping it purple. Along came No Fade Fresh and my problems with my purple hair fading have vanished.

Bonus it is super nourishing and my hair is happier and healthier not to mention purple! Thank you No Fade Fresh, you have changed my life for the better. Seriously I have used it three times. My hair was almost back to blonde at the frayed ends and the color had come off in splotches this time.

Full disclosure: my most recent coloring was with a brand I had not tried before. It looked great for about five days then starting fading in peculiar ways. I decided to try this and in 3 uses my purple hair is a much more uniform color throughout, all the way down to the frayed ends, which do not look frayed after 3 uses.

I’m a natural, level 9 or 10 blonde, so I thought I could use this without bleaching my hair. That said, it deposited where it felt like, and never came out! First color I tried was the pink conditioner.

Never came out, so I had to color my hair back to my natural color. I decided that maybe I did it wrong or something, and purchased the silver shampoo. I was sooo looking forward to this color! It was a bust.

Again, it deposited where it felt like, and never “faded out”. I tried contacting their color coach, and customer service to see how to remove it. It’s been 7 weeks now with partly silver dotted hair, and no response from company.

And yes, I followed directions to a tee. I’m going to try and remove it today with some Color Zap.

I received a bottle of the No Fade Fresh Lavender Color Depositing Conditioner in the mail in exchange for a review. I currently have a platinum blonde balayage and my hair ranges from super light to light blonde to brown at the root.

I’ve used this product 3 separate times and noticed the following: the first time, I didn’t see any effect on the color of my hair, at all. Not even the lightest parts picked it up. I left it on for a couple of minutes fearing my hair would turn full on purple, but it didn’t even come close.

It does condition and soften the hair regardless. The second time I used it I did notice more color picked up after leaving it on for around 10 minutes. It wasn’t a block of color, but I noticed a lot of brassiness had been taken away from the lightest parts of the hair.

The next section up/ darker light blonde didn’t seem to pick up a lot of this color. However, the overall sheen was definitely more blue than the pinky lavender shown on the bottle. This is fine for my needs but a heads up for those wanting the pink lavender.

The third time I used it I just noticed an increase in the blue sheen without it being actually blue, and the 2 lightest blonde didn’t pick up much of it either. The scent is nice and understated, not obnoxious or overwhelming.

I need to use a lot of product because I have a lot of thick, long, dry, chemically damaged hair and I do cowashing. I used this conditioner 3 times and by the third I had pretty much ran out of it. Not a problem for me but could be for someone else.

The application is nice, it does NOT stain your skin and tub/shower like other color depositing conditioners. Really stretches/goes a long way. Overall it’s a product I’ll keep using until it runs out and I might consider purchasing a second bottle.

I would recommend this to someone who’s looking to take brass away from lighter blonde hair while conditioning but not to someone who’s looking for a strong color payoff or to turn their platinum blonde hair into lavender.

These clippers are great. I really like the fade blades. The blend is superb and the Andis magnetic guards fits this clipper perfectly. They are a little heavier than my Oster clippers. I did not zero gap the blade and it still removes the initial guide-line on a fade cut.

I recommend this clipper.

I really am never impressed by andis tbh my manscape clippers are more reliable. Their products need constant maintenance, my fade master blade would vibrate loose and it became so frustrating constantly cleaning replacing blades and screws I had to throw them away they were a couple years old but i keep them lubricated and only use them occasionally.

Product came as represented and am happy with it. For some reason the smaller clipper blade wants to sit on a slight angle so i had to open it up and adjust it and while i was in there i zero gapped it.

It was a little finicky and doesnt want to stay straight when re tightening the screws but aside from that these are great clippers and i need to get used to them since theyre much better than what i was using prior.

If you use for more than an hour it will atart to get hot fyi.

This is a great product for thick fine hair. It is light and will not make your hair look oily. I have a buzz cut (practically military) so I don’t require much hold. Products that promote shine such as pomade do not work for me and I took a chance on this and I couldn’t be happier.

I don’t think it would work for everyone. If you require high shine or heavy hold, this is not for you. This will provide a polished look for men that wear a natural look. The more you use, the more control you will have.

I used more than I normally do and I thought it would work well for a more formal look, when wearing a tuxedo. I have not experience any oily or shiny events. There is no noticeable fragrance to me and I like it that way.

I have mixed feelings about this product. It does provide subtle control, but it also seems to make the hair not feel clean, and slightly matte it down a bit. I feel like I could have gotten the same results with an inexpensive hair conditioner, in which I would work in a dime amount into my hair.

There are better products out there.

I found it to be lighter and easier to maneuver. This is a quality product. Makes cutting hair at home easier and produces a gentle fade as desired. The ease of this clipper set made our hair cuts quicker and I was very happy with the outcomes! I do recommend this clipper set for at home haircuts!.

I use this every single day before going out in the Arizona sun. Doesn’t build up or weigh down. Vey lightweight consistency exactly like a serum.

Ok, so in my quest for the platinumiest platinum hair ever, I have gone various unusual shades. My hair has always been highlighted over the last 30 years but at the hairdressers. But after having to give up work through illness, my 90 trips to the salon have had to go so when I started cocking up on my own I had blonde hair but various shades and an inch of dark roots ( keep with it, I’m getting there ).

So, I’ve used box kits, hair colour removers, you name it I’ve used it, but finally I have the colour I wanted. However, the front and top were so porous that using my bonacure toning shampoo kept leaving those areas purple.

Sections were elastic. At night it would matt together in a knotty frizzy mess that stood up on its own and by morning I was basically blonde Ken Dodd-and it was coming out when washed. So, I used all sorts of expensive conditioners, none worked.

Anyway, I’ve used one of these products before, the purple bottle, can’t remember its name but it’s so good, I thought I’d give that a try, then I saw this and got both. First night I put onto my damp hair as instructed, used a fair bit, managed to comb through and left it be.

When I woke up next day my hair felt stiff and crunchy ( sprayed too much on ). But when I went to wash my hair, before I’d even put anything on it, it felt soft and great. Still a bit ropey once dried but a huge improvement.

I’ve continued this every day for the last week, just using much less and in the space of a week I’ve gone from the worst my hair has ever been to probably the healthiest it’s been in a few years at least.

And I forgot to mention at the start, when I was working I would straighten my hair daily, so it was heat damaged and singed before I started my one woman hair wrecking crusade. In all honesty, I never write reviews, partly because I type as I think which makes everything long winded with too much info, and partly because I’ve never felt strongly enough about anything before.

Literally, a week and it’s probably improved by 85%. It’s shiny, easy to comb, the colour is radiant and totally how I imagined my hair to be, healthy and glossy. Not perfect yet, but damn near close, evident by the fact that my toner shampoo leaves no purple residue, therefore not porous anymore.

My hair has been miraculously transformed. So to all the many many bloggers I’ve read and watched on my quest for platinum hair, you’re wrong, you can have platinum hair and healthy hair.

My favorite pureology product! This miracle filler treatment works wonders, it really is a miracle spray. It is a bit pricey and more on the expensive side, but is worth every penny! Pureology is cruelty free hair care brand and is high quality.

It is so hard to find cruelty free hair products that work well. It is worth paying the higher price, knowing it is good quality and cruelty free. This spray works! I use it as a detangler and to help maintain my blonde hair color shade.

I apply it into my hair when I get out of the shower so my hair is damp. It allows me to brush through my hair so easily and detangles my hair. This product is soft in my hair and smells amazing. Best smell ever! It also gives my hair shine and makes my blonde hair color really look healthy and very blonde.

I highly recommend this product. You can find it at hair salons, online and in ULTA stores. It normally is around $25 dollars but I just found it on sale for $13 at ULTA, which is a great deal. I’ve purchased it in the past and will continue to buy this product.

My hair is naturally very dark, level 2-3. The strands are also very thin, and silky as well as being oily. I had used product for years to build body and volume but because of the oils-it would always fall flat.

I now have my hair lightened significantly, level 10. I say all of that to say this: I now have the texture my hair requires to not stick to my head. However, in doing this my hair is severely damaged.

For fear of weighing it down, I won’t use heavy product but I do require something nourishing to bring my hair some manageability. This product has done just that. It’s not heavy, but it has done wonders for making the especially damaged areas and making them easier to comb- etc.

I use this entire line of hair products and have no complaints on any of them. This one especially.

Quite heavy to use on yourself. Combined with really sharp blades made my first haircut of myself a ‘bloody affair’, lol. Doing others is a doddle. It cuts close to the bone. It ain’t called Baldfader for nothing.

Couldn’t wait for end of lock-down as hair so long, so had to use them. Bottom part of the chrome handle badly scratched. Would have sent them back but desperate for hair cut. Did the job though!

I purchased both the shampoo and conditioner, but this review is for the shampoo- It has a mellow pomegranate smell. I noticed very little color bleed from my freshly dyed copper hair, it had a very silky soft lather that instantly softened and smoothed my hair.

It isn’t the most cleansing shampoo I’ve tried, but I definitely noticed my hair breakage has stopped.

We have been buying these kits for ages for our household. My husband calls it quality time spent with his son. he love s giving himself and our son a haircut. a skill that was so helpful during the pandemic.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. My husband was desperate for a haircut, so that meant I needed to learn. These clippers came with excellent instructions and were very easy to use. I felt like we had everything we needed.

It is pretty easy to learn to cut your own hair, and its a quality product. My only complaint is that the combs are made of a very flimsy plastic and the individual tines bend and lean to the sides. Wish they were thicker and more stable so they stayed straight, but they still work fine.

Overall a good value and an excellent product. Would recommend if you need a quarantine haircut!.

Since the covid restrictions I have not been able to go to my barber. after my wife and I watched a few videos on how to cut hair, we decided that she would try and cut my hair. These clippers have worked well, they are good value, and I am really glad that I purchased them, along with a good pair of scissors and a good comb.

I have fine, undyed hair, the length is just below the shoulders, moderately sensitive scalp. The hair needs volume, and the scalp needs gentle daily cleansing. The ends do not split, but often get confused when washing.

I normally buy this shampoo and conditioner through my salon. I bought it through WalMart just for the sake of convenience. The shampoo is the same. The conditioner is NOT the same as what I’ve gotten through my hairdresser.

It’s a thick-ish liquid but not a creamy consistency like conditioner normally is. I don’t know if I got a bad batch or if what I bought through WalMart is a knockoff brand.

Blown away by this honestly!! I wasn’t expecting a shampoo could literally dye my hair. My first test I did on a bleach blonde streak in my hair and it made it dark grey first time round! Since then I’ve bleached my whole head and I used a permanent grey dye (colour freedom metallic glory in graphite) it was great but I still had some warm tones as I had previously had a semi permanent black in my hair so was really hard to get grey.

I originally got this just thinking it would be good for upkeep but it’s also toned the leftover warmth I had and added more depth making my hair look healthier and colour look way better, thrilled! Honestly seems nice and conditioning for a shampoo too imo, only thing is it makes my hands look like I’ve been doing charcoal drawings, which I’m not bothered by, well worth it!.

I love the fact its vegan. My hair is salt and pepper. I found it difficult to find a product that would colour my hair without the harsh chemical smell or it turning sections of my hair yellow. This product is perfect.

The shampoo and conditioner highlights the different shades of grey in my hair. There is no nasty chemical. Just lovely soft shiny hair. I no longer need to waste so much time reading labels and worry about results.

I just order on line. I know the product is going to produce the results I am looking for.

I was really excited about this shampoo, but it’s just not for me. Started off only using a little, as instructed. I couldn’t get any lather at all and the product would not spread throughout my roots.

Ended up using even more product to get an all over spread. My hair still felt unclean afterwards and was dry and difficult to style. Since using, my scalp has become dry and itchy. It does smell nice and as a grey toning shampoo its does its job.

Just not the right shampoo for me.

I purchased this product along with the conditioner at the recommendation of my stylist after she did a Brazilian Blowout. After using for only a week I had to stop due to my hair becoming dry, brittle, breakage and excessive hair loss.

not your normal “shedding. ” My daughter. who did not have a Brazilian Blowout also used the product for two weeks since she has colored hair. She too experienced breakage, dry and brittle hair and excessive hair loss.

So although this may be the holy grail for some. proceed with caution as it definitely wasn’t for me or my daughter. it caused damage to our hair as well as excessive hair loss.

I use all [brand:keratin-complex] hair products including their hair tools. This shampoo is awesome for me. It smooths my hair and makes it smell great. It is very smooth and creamy which is the consistency that I need for thick hair like mine.

I need something that protects it from heat and this does the trick. It is very nourishing and gives it that vibrancy. Helps with frizz too. I highly recommend using the conditioner that goes with it to get the full effect![brand:keratin-complex].

I was eager to try this Keratin conditioner after using the Keratin shampoo. I purposely didn’t use any conditioning or styling products after washing and conditioning my hair. My hair dried feeling soft, shiny and I air-dried it into lovely natural curls.

This doesn’t leave a smell in your hair which I also like nor does it leave your hair feeling weighed down or sticky. I feel good using something really good for my hair and look forward to seeing how my hair does in months to come.

I did accidentally buy this conditioner instead of the Keratin Complex Color Care Conditioner but am thrilled with how my hair feels with this. I will order the Color Care Conditioner to help prolong my hair coloring.

I used this decades ago. It’s very useful and gets rid of dark spots. However, if you have sensitive skin, read the ingredients before using this product or any other product. I wouldn’t suggest using it when it’s hot outside.

It will make the skin darker. Overall, this is a very good face cream. I would recommend it.

It’s a great clipper. Lots of power and a sharp blade. The fade adjustment near the top allows you to go from really short to almost to-the-scalp trimming. The only drawback I’ve found is that the body of the clipper is all metal, and the motor heats the device quickly.

It actually gets to the point where it’s too hot to safely hold. At that point I unplug, re-oil and set it down to cool off. It’s a precision cut for haircuts and even facial hair trimming. Again, gets hot rather quickly.

I picked up this shampoo when I had just got my hair colored blonde. I was looking for an affordable shampoo, but quality, And I didn’t feel like spending $30 for the shampoo at my salon. In the past, I’ve used Nexxus before, And although I haven’t had the best luck, I wanted to try again because this particular shampoo Was an allure Beauty winner.

The first thing is I don’t care for the smell has a chemical smell. Shockingly it makes my hair incredibly soft. Also, I wait about a month Before I go and get my roots done, and this shampoo kept the color, kept my hair color looking vibrant, Shiny & soft.

Also, I don’t wash my hair every day. I probably wash my hair about three times a week, and I find that the shampoo helps get the grease out without using a clarifying shampoo which I prefer not to because a clarifying shampoo does strip the color.

So it’s nice that I have that shampoo as an option; not only does it help with the grease, it keeps my color vibrant, my hair is tangle-free also it doesn’t strip out the natural oils of my hair or the color overall I would recommend the shampoo the only thing I wish is that the smell was a little bit better, but I’m willing to continue to use it because there are more pros than cons.

I bought this shampoo and conditioner in a pinch because I needed a color safe shampoo and saw the 2 pack of this shampoo and the conditioner and so I bought it. BIG MISTAKE. I’m glad after reading other reviews on here that I am not alone because I honestly thought it was just me, my hair has never been more greasy, scalp has never been so itchy, and my color faded so quickly in only the short amount of time I was using this product.

I HATED wasting all that money but this is probably the worst “color safe shampoo” if you can even call it that. that I’ve ever bought. please don’t be like me, read reviews on shampoo’s before you buy it’ll save you time, energy, and your hair.

I used the Nexus Assure Shampoo and Conditioner , these two products together are amazing. They work very well together, they make my hair so soft. Before Covid started I was going to the beauty shop weekly, and I had my hair very short.

I can honestly tell you since I have been using this product my hair is is down the middle of my back now, the growth is unbelievable. My husband loves the way my hair has grown. I saw so many bad reviews, I had to give my honest review.
