Best Facials For Glowing Skin (2024 Updated)

Herbivore’s Prism AHA + BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial, is some powerful stuff. The product comes in a beautiful, heavy, glass jar. The mask is clear with a pink tinge to it. It’s pretty but it goes on clear.

I bought this mask to get more intense chemical peels because of my enlarged pores, acne scars and fine lines that have started in my 40’s. The peel itself almost tingles and most definitely felt like a burn.

I had to sit in front of a fan to be able to tolerate the heat. My face would turn a little red but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t soothe with a gel mask made for super sensitive skin, which I do not have.

I didn’t really notice any changes to my skin after a whole jar, so not sure i was benefiting from it. I have tried other Herbivore products though and liked it.

I have pretty dry skin and the first time I tried this mask I didn’t really feel any tingling/burning, so I left it on for about 15 minutes and when I washed it off, my skin felt a lot smoother. I made sure to layer on a bunch of moisturizers and overall I was pretty happy with it.

For some reason the times I tried to use this product after that, I’ve felt a lot of tingling almost as soon as I apply it to my face. For that reason, I only leave it on for 8-10 minutes as I am worried it might be too harsh for me.

I think if you happen to have dry skin it would be a great idea to try a sample of this mask first (a few times) before buying the full sized product just to test whether this mask also tingles or burns on your skin.

These days I only use this mask once every 3 weeks ish when I remember to and when my skin is in a relatively good state. I think my skin is just to sensitive for the high percentages of AHA in this mask so I probably will not be repurchasing.

Received trial size of this product complementary with my online purchase during a VIB/Rouge deal that included the Emerald hempseed oil and the Pink Cloud cleanser. Was having high hopes of liking this product the most out of the three, but unfortunately didn’t impress me as much as I had hoped.

The consistency is sticky and thin, like the runny part of egg whites. Applies very thin which is what the description stated, and will cause tingling sensations during use. Scent is that of Roses which I do like.

As the mask dries down/gets to work, the skin WILL feel tighter and dryer, so a good serum/moisturizer combo right after washing this off is crucial. For those with more sensitive skins, do not over apply the product or leave it for the entire 20min duration, as it will cause redness and irritation.

Previously thought this was a leave-in facial and couldn’t understand why it PILLS so much if other products are applied on top of this when rubbing. Upon further reading that it needs to be washed-off after a 15-20min time window depending on skin tolerance, the hated pilling problem is now gone.

As for performance of product, I guess it is helping to exfoliate my skin since it causes the tingling sensation. Note that I also use Retinol (Drunk Elephant once a week, Inkey List nightly), and find those to be slightly gentler than this in terms of causing skin sensitivity.

So if you are familiar with chemical exfoliators or have very tolerant skin, this might be for you.

I used the Mad Hippie Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub this morning. I am underwhelmed. The formulation has a low viscosity and can pour out of the jar. While it has a pleasing aromatherapeutic citrus aroma that would most definitely contribute to making one want to be compliant with their skincare regimen, it does not have enough volcanic ash / exfoliant to even qualify as a basic facial scrub (think about the OTC Freeman brand) – especially in light of other microdermabrasion scrubs that have a thicker viscosity and truly perform.

i. e. Philosophy’s Microdelivery 2-Step Resurfacing Peel Kit (that I bought religiously for years but gave up when I opted for cleaner / greener / eco friendly personal care) and the homemade microdermabrasion scrub that my esthetician makes for my quarterly appointments.

I will remedy this by adding more finely ground volcanic ash to the jar. I will use it up. However, I doubt that I will repurchase.

I have never thought that I would write a review on any beauty products but this one I think I have to tell people that they should try it. It’s simply the best exfoliating treatment I’ve ever used in my life.

I’m 37 and been used tons of exfoliating products on the markets. This is the only exfoliating product that I can see the difference since the first use not like others that will see in a month or two.

My skin was right away brighten and soft that my mom also noticed it. It comes with a little wood spoon that you literally need one spoon for each use so it will last forever. The price and the results is super worth the money.

I have been using Mad Hippie products for years and was so excited when they came to Ulta! I saw this new product and immediately added it to my cart. I adore their serums, and this one is like the exfoliating serum on steroids.

This is a hybrid of a chemical and physical exfoliant, so if you have sensitive skin, beware, it may cause irritation. I recommend not using this in series with their vitamin A or exfoliating serums because they are chemical exfoliants.

I also recommend skipping a day or more between any and all exfoliants. I use this once a week and it makes my skin smoother than a baby’s bottom. It works amazingly to break down a lot of the junk sitting in my pores and the effects last for days.

It also helps stimulate new skin cell growth (i. e. it increases cell turnover). I just scrub it into my wet skin, leave it on during my shower routine, rinse, and afterwards it feels like I just left the spa!.

Gifted by Tata Harper skincare but opinions are my own. Although I have dry skin I wanted something to help detox my skin because wearing a mask has brought breakouts to my skin. These products helped with them, I cleansers with the regenerating cleanser first because it helped with taking off dry skin and rough texture then I would cleanse with the clarifying cleanser which was really fantastic for the breakouts it was a gel cleanser for blemish prone skin because of the AHA I would use it at night time.

My favorite from the kit was the clarifying mask that I would use twice a week for 20 minutes. This is everything I wanted and more, as someone with dry skin I don’t like when masks dry on the skin because it pulls away all of my moisture leaving my skin feeling really tight, this didn’t do that.

It helped with clarifying without stripping my skin of any moisture. The AHAs were nothing irritating to the skin. As a third step I would have followed up with the essence but unfortunately mine was completely empty so I never got the opportunity to try it.

With the resurfacing serum I would use it on my neck and face and it helped make my skin feel super smooth! After I placed the eye serum which helped smooth out some of my fine lines. To finish off my routine I used the reparative moisturizer which had a beautiful dewy finish and felt nourishing enough for my dry skin.

Then the oil, this was such a luxurious feeling it helped my skin feel extra hydrated without it feeling sticky or like it was too much on. This kit is absolutely incredible especially if you are in need of detoxing the skin and suffer from some breakouts.

I received this set complimentary from Tata Harper for reviewing purposes. First of all, this set is absolutely beautiful – love the luxurious packaging and the scent of these products. I would normally avoid fragrance but these are so relaxing and did not irritate my skin.

This is best used for oily, combination and mature skin. I have oily skin so it definitely worked well for me. Yes it’s dermatologist tested and Non-comedogenic like all of Neutrogena products are. It’s also formulated without sulfates, parabens, oils, dyes, and Phthalates.

I received this product free from Home Tester Club, it’s a weekly facial that smoothes and shines your face. I opened up the box and pulled out a very nice bottle. Easy to open and pump out, not much product was needed to cover entire face.

I did notice after about five minutes if you touched your face, it’s sticky. You wouldn’t know though if you didn’t touch your face, I waited the full fifteen minutes to wash off which was simple as well.

Overall I was completely satisfied with this product and will be adding it to my weekly routine.

I have pretty sensitive skin, so when products are not good for my skin, I will know pretty quickly since I will start breaking out. Nothing of the sort has happened with the FHF products though. They look, smell and feel like described.

Using the sample sizes gives me a great opportunity to try things out without a huge commitment in case the product doesn’t work for me. So far, I have been very pleased with everything I have tried.

This is considered to be a tinted moisturizer. However, it wasn’t able to fully cover up my blemishes or any other imperfections. I would not wear it when I need a full coverage makeup look. That said, the days I stay home, it’s great for a little touch-up to make you feel better.

I use these at least once a week when my skin seems dry or is stressed from wearing a mask. This mask really hydrates and pairs well with my nighttime oil. My skin always feel rejuvenated the morning after.

I’ve used various Timeless products over the past 5 years or so and have seen an amazing improvement in my skin. My family remarks that I now look 15+ years younger than I actually am and the salespeople at Sephora or department store beauty counters always compliment me on my lovely skin.

Every single morning I use the eye cream, my absolute “must” C+E+Ferulic acid serum, moisturizer, then SPF 50+ sunscreen (regardless of the actual weather). At night I use the Matryxl spray under night cream, and reapply the eye cream This is a winning formula for me.

I grew up in a beach community so there was lots of sun damage to undo when I hit 40, and I’ve found the Timeless products are great for winding back the clock.

Glad I bought the Bright & Glowy set. Originally I was just interested in the eye product and vitamin C but thought I would try the set for just a little extra. I’m happy that I did! I keep the vitamin C in the refrigerator and for the hot summer I thought I would put the cucumber spray in there.

The surprise hit was the cucumber spray. I feel so pampered using it and it starts my routine with a happy wake up. The vitamin C product is easy to apply and sinks in completely The hyaluronic acid feels good and not greasy.

My skin has recovered from the winter using these products. I can go out without makeup some days after using the products, adding my own moisture cream and sunblock with just a dab of coverup under my eyes.

I love the Green Tea Milkwash! I did not receive the Peat Perfection Mask, instead got the Matcha Purity Mask. I’m not sure if that was a mistake or if they are discontinuing the Peat Perfection? The Three Milk Moisturizer is a little heavy for me…so far my favorite product is the sample I got of the C of Change Peel Pads!.

Absolutely loved this Trio! Green tea milk wash is so gentle and removed make-up. Three Milk Ageless Moisturizer feels so good & has a wonderful spa fragrance.

Okay, so, if you’ve ever been subscribed to boxycharm, you know that every other month you can shop their overstock for like huge discounts, and I was browsing what they had to offer, and this was available for about $10 – and I knew this was a good brand, so I went to sephora’s site to check out the reviews.

Obviously, after seeing such good reviews, I said what the heck, for such a good price I’ll get it and try it. Ended up trying it a couple hours ago and oh my LORD, I’m big on exfoliating as part of my skincare routine and yet I’ve never had anything like this.

I’ve used the Ordinary’s peeling solution every once in a while for the past year or so whenever I feel like I need extra exfoliation or I’m breaking out, and I think this one is honestly superior. It didn’t leave me feeling excessively dry, my skin wasn’t red at all afterwards, and it was just super easy to use.

I used to use Sunday Riley’s Good Genes before I determined that it was too expensive to keep using every night and repurchasing, and honestly, the results I saw immediately upon washing this mask off were similar to those I saw after weeks of using the Good Genes treatment nightly – meaning this is obviously a LOT more financially attainable, given the fact that this mask is meant to be used once or twice a week.

Seriously, SO glad I decided to take a chance on this – I looked in the mirror after rinsing it off, and thought OMG, I look so healthy, I need to write a review!! People need to know about this!!.

As someone with semi-sensitive skin, acne, and rosacea, I have struggled for years to find an exfoliant. I tried very very granular physical exfoliants and they were ok, just using my hands or a soft washcloth, but they didn’t offer my enough exfoliation that I needed, while wearing daily sunscreen, Azelaic acid, and Tretinoin.

I have had 1-2 chemical peels from my dermatologist before that were AHAs (mandelic) and they gave me blisters. Tried the Paula’s choice BHA and it gave me horrible blisters (but I did make a rookie mistake and use my Tretinoin the same night).

I think my face needed something even more gentle, which is why I sought out a PHA, because it’s better for sensitive skin. After I used this the first time at night, I woke up the next morning and my face was GLOWING and clear.

I wanted to cry because it looked so good and was smooth and even. I use it 2x a week now, wear it for 25-30 min usually, wash it off, do NOT use retinol, and go to bed. It does absolute wonders for my face and isn’t too harsh.

The pump is just a little annoying and I wish this didn’t have fragrance in it, but it’s not too bad. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this for someone with sensitive skin who is looking for a more gentle exfoliating acid, although of course, we are all different and this product won’t work for everyone.

One of the best masks I have ever used!! I see people writing that this mask is too sticky and that’s all they leave for comments. You MUST use this product properly, for it to work. The first time I used this mask, I didn’t use it properly.

You must put a light layer all over your face and then proceed to rub it all over your face in circular motions for three minutes, until the whole mask turns white and then let it dry. I left the mask on for 45 minutes and didn’t notice any kind of tingling, it just felt nice! After, I removed it with a hot face cloth and then washed my face with a light face wash.

My face had a pinky glow to it and has been soft for many days after using it. Noticeable texture, dry skin and blackheads gone! I’ve used many masks from Fresh, Tacha, Drunk Elephant, Murad, Glam Glow, Philosophy, Dr.

Dennis Gross, Clinique and La Mer to name a few. I have actually tried them all and this is by far, in my top three! I bought one and then I went out immediately afterwards and bought a second bottle! AMAZING results.

Incredible soft skin for a week and my skin looks brighter and more refined! I am in my late 40s, with combination skin, very acne prone and this truly is an awesome face mask! Love love LOVE!!! Will recommend to everyone!.

These masks have become my favorite overtime and I love how Crème took the time to add 2 ingredients that actually complement each other. As for the ingredients, Turmeric is known for being antioxidant-rich and youth promotion while Matcha is great for rejuvenating and has anti-inflammatory properties as well, both ingredients are wonderful to brighten and assist with reducing scars from acne.

Theses masks are not only hydrating and refreshing but also smells wonderful! The sheets are great quality, fits my whole face and it comes completely damp. Most of the time I re-apply whatever is left in the package on the top of the mask after a few minutes just so it won’t go on a waste.

These are good to be use daily but I only do once a week and that works great for me! Worth a try!.

Have been into sheet masks lately and have tried quite a few. I like this one and enjoy using it in my daily morning skin routine. I like the fact that you don’t need to rinse it off, and it doesn’t leave a sticky feeling on the skin too.

I keep it on for about half an hour, dispose the mask and enjoy the refreshed look of my face. My skin is on the dryer side, so moisturizing it well has been my main goal and this mask helps a lot. Will buy again and would recommend to a friend:).

Tried this mask last week for the first time. I hear turmeric is great to remove spots and impurities from the skin. It’s. Nice sheet mask, a little big, but nothing you can’t work with. I folded the ends.

Package says to leave on for 30 minutes and no needs to rinse. I love the way it made my skin feel. After I removed it I just massaged the rest of the product in and it felt nice and cool. I’ve been looking to buy more but this particular one is hard to find.

I’ve had this in my shower for a while. I’m finally about done with it and I loved it. The exfoliating grains are very fine. Not chunky and scratchy at all. It can be used as a mask or a scrub. I used it as both.

I had a glycolic cleanser in my shower as well and mixed the two and it gave my skin a deeper, smoother complexion. I would recommend to buy but I think it’s discontinued.

I received this free for review from Topbox and Garnier and I was fully expecting to hate the product given the brand’s general reputation for skincare products but surprisingly I don’t find this mask to be disappointing.

Basing this review solely on the promises this product makes 1) instantly hydrates and freshens and a) gently exfoliates and polishes I have to say it does both exactly as described. I have fairly dry skin and prefer to keep my skincare regimented rather than keep it guessing with questionable formulas I enjoyed the perlite scrub being very gentle (which is how physical exfoliation should be, skincare shouldn’t hurt) and I loved the texture of the mask as almost a thick gelatinous oatmeal that dries down on skin and though the feeling of hydration is very mild and fairly short-lived unless followed up with a true moisturizer my skin does come away feeling like a post facial.

Now for the reason I wouldn’t recommend this product or ever use it again. There is no reason whatever for a skincare product to have fragrance, it’s a known irritant for all skin types (damage happens even when you can’t see it!) as well it impairs the skin’s natural healing process and ability to produce healthy collagen so over time this mask is doing damage and encouraging fine lines and wrinkles.

Given the aggressive marketing regarding “natural ingredients”, “vegan”, “non-comedegenic” (FYI an unregulated term they cannot prove), and “free of parabens” (the exclusion of which encourages the growth of mold, fungi, and harmful pathogens whereas including has no negatives), I was hoping for a better formulation.

I don’t know what dermatologists Garnier is hiring to formulate their products but I hope they get rid of them and report their medical licences for creating just skincare products that harm their customers.

I was excited to try this Garnier SkinActive Glow Boost 2-in-1 Facial Mask + Scrub because I seriously enjoy every product I try by Garnier SkinActive. When I read that this item was a 2-in-1 product, I was a little skeptical that one of the two claims wouldn’t be that amazing, but I was wrong.

First I tried it just as a scrub and it was nice, not too harsh on my skin but just exfoliating enough that I could feel a softness after I rinsed the product off. But the next time I tried it, I put the product on my face and let it soak in as a mask while I showered as normal.

I could feel a slight tingle on my skin, which let me know the product was doing it’s job clearing out my pores. So when I was ready to rinse, I added a little water and used the leftover mask as an exfoliator again, but this time was SO MUCH BETTER! I don’t know if the product does need to sit first and then be scrubbed off, but the exfoliating particles just worked way better this time I used it.

My skin felt super soft but also very clean and hydrated, and maybe even a bit more supple looking. It definitely gave my face a glow, and I’m so happy with that! The smell is very fresh and fruity, but in a very light way, and it didn’t linger on my skin for long after using the product.

I’m completely hooked on this amazing 2-in-1 mask and scrub by Garnier SkinActive!!.

💥💥💥💥PRO: This product got my attention since containing “Six interesting Acid Blend†includes AHAs glycolic, mandelic, tartaric, and lactic acids, BHA (salicylic acid), and pyruvic acid.

💥💥💥💥CONS: 🠀 At the right pH (~4. 1), pyruvic acid will have the result in exfoliation. However, AHAs and BHA work best as exfoliants when formulated between pH 3 and 4. GLAMGLOW doesn’t reveal the percentage of acids in this exfoliant, which will put the product at a disadvantage side in comparison to the other exfoliants.

In my viewpoint, those percentage is important to detail because research has clearly shown how many of these ingredients are needed for the exfoliation result. 🠀Contain some ingredients proven to cause irritating for sensitive skin: alcohol, eucalyptus, and hazel extract.

💥💥💥💥💥💥Summing up, this isn’t an exfoliant I recommend for sensitive skin to use💥💥💥💥💥. I won’t buy this product again because I don’t know if the percentage of acid is enough for the exfoliants as it promises.

My first time trying Glam Glow anything, and I loved it at first. Everything felt refreshing on my skin, and then I broke out bad the 2nd week of using it! I knew it was too good to be true, but I persisted through.

To my surprise, it turned out my face was purging my toxins, and by my 3rd week, my zits were gone and my pores were smaller. Now I’m close to finishing these samples and my skin tone is the most even it’s ever been that my skin actually looks tighter and my pores are GONE!! This is the best face combo ever.

So I’ve been trying to take care of my skin lately since I just turned 26 and I don’t wanna go into my 30s with horrible skin. I loved this gold facial kit. I have a sensitive skin and so I dont use any new product immediately as I have acne prone skin but this helped alot and no breakouts were there. Also it is easy to use and no need of any expert.

It is good for sensitive skin and it smells nice. After using it you feel very refreshing. It is easy to use because steps are mentioned on it. So you can do it yourself.

I absolutely love this product!! Not just because it works exactly like it promises but also because it is a fun product to have. Overall, the packaging is very cool where technically there is one cap where both products are screwed on, on each end.

I would highly recommend placing it on the counter where the product name is readable because the gloss side of it is a runnier gel and gets messy if you place it with the letters upside down.

The Glass: The company is extremely smart for using a biodegradable PEG particles as the exfoliant instead of the normal synthetic nondegradable particles you find normally. This means that I don’t have to worry as much about polluting the water as I wash it off my face into the drain.

I do wish that the particles were a lot finer. Because I am used chemical exfoliants and ultra fine particle exfoliants, this one is a bit on the rougher side but man does my face fee absolutely amazing even if I don’t polish my face for long.

The Gloss: this gel is absolutely amazing and so moisturizing. I have find myself using this on the regular as part of my skin routine even if I don’t exfoliate. Love this side and I would recommend that they sell the gloss separately as well because I can see myself using it up faster than the exfoliant.

Overall highly recommend to buy and use. I feel more comfortable in my natural skin because I have a beautiful glow after use.

Firstly, how amazing is the name. Glass & Gloss. Megawatt glow. It’s music to anyone’s ears. I absolutely love the two jar bottles it comes in. It’s so dreamlike. Love the soft colors. I love that it’s a two-step process.

Makes me feel like I’m pampering myself and the pamper is not just fluff. I actually get amazing results from it! My skin gets dull often and I have dry skin. This product seems like it was made for me.

I was afraid my sensitive skin may have a reaction to the product but thankfully, there was none. The ingredient list seems great. I always run the list of ingredients on a decode-ingredients website so I can be careful of any icky ingredients, but this one had ingredients that I didn’t need to worry about.

It actually feels like my skin is getting cleaned out and I love the gel that I get to coat my skin with afterward. It’s hydrating, it’s got Vitamin C. After using this product, my skin glows, it feels hydrated, my pores feel tightened up, and I feel refreshed.

Who knew two jar bottles could make me feel so freaking happy.

My favourite are all. The bubbly face mask was very effective and the gold mask made my skin refreshing. Those duo combined very well together. I was surprised by the eye mask they had a jelly feel at the back but in front it was material.

I left them overnight which I could barely feel them on my face. The only small problem are the scents are a bit overpowering for me.
