20 Best Facial Hair Removal Cream For Coarse Hair (2023 Updated)

I always do a global research on “the best rated” product. So, needless to say, this facial hair remover came up. Since the other highly recommended / rated products weren’t to my satisfaction and with Avon’s good reputation and products – I gave this one a try.

I absolutely love, love, love it.

This is the best hair removal cream that I have ever used on my upper lip and chin! I was disappointed when Olay discontinued their similar product, but feel that Avon actually works better. Nair and Sally Hansen do not even compare.

both would leave hair behind after 15 minutes and creams were runny. This cream goes on thick. I have coarse hair and decided to leave on for the full 8 minutes. My skin was red and tender after. but that happens with every hair removal product Ive ever used.

Ladies. just use at night before bed! My face was fine in the morning. I highly recommend.

Works well when used as directed, and it is a good value for the price, compared to other products of this type. I have been using Avon SSS facial hair remover for many years, and I am hoping that it will continue to be available for many more years in the future! Very pleased to find it here on eBay! :-).

Okay, this is probably going to be a little bit of an embarrassing review. I feel that sometimes it’s super important to do one of those every now and again. So I went online to look at YouTubers who have tried different hair removal creams.

I have very coarse hair on my legs, armpits, and the nether regions. I came across this guy who uses this in his sensitive areas. He said that he also had coarse hair and that normally he gets bad ingrown hairs when he shaves down there.

I thought, if it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me. So I ordered mine online through Amazon and waited for it to come. When it finally came I ripped open the package, read the directions, and prepped myself for pure pain! I’ve tried nair down below and I thought my who-he was going to completely burn off! First thing I noticed that I liked is that it was a thicker formula so where I put it is where it stayed.

Second thing, is the smell isn’t their initially but as it starts burning the hair off, it’s not the greatest smell. Most creams don’t smell good and I’m okay with that. I first tried it for the minimum 3 minutes.

That did nothing! Since I’m not a first time hair cream removal person, I knew to try it for a little bit longer and give it another shot. I waited 24 hours so I didn’t have any reactions on my skin and the next day I put it on for about 4 minutes 30 seconds.

I checked a small portion before fully removing it and I left it on for another 30 seconds. Apparently this is allowed to stay on for 6 minutes total. When I left it on for 5 minutes, It did amazing! I’ve been using it on all areas that have hair and it’s done a great job for me! I always have ingrown hairs and so far, nothing! I’m going to continue to use this for the next couple months and see if I still feel the same way.

I’m pretty happy about this, I also decided to try it on the rear end. It did a great job in that area too! Normally I end up having a rash because of the friction of my butt cheeks lol. All in all unpleasantly surprised with this product and I will continue to use it!.

I bought this product to replace shaving but was disappointed with the results. Tried in different thickness of the cream, different times, and even different locations (for hair thickness), but all areas resulted in patchy hair removal.

Left my skin feeling a little slimy after thoroughly washing with soap and did not remove the follicle of the hair but just broke off from the root. Unsure of the exact effect on my skin but feel shaving would be quicker and more effective.

The only positive is not shavers rash or ingrown hairs.

Bought this a week ago. Applied it with the spatula given and left for a few minutes. Wiped it off and nothing happened. Reapplied it and left for about 6 to 8 minutes and wiped off. Still nothing. Waste of money.

bought this last week, only $5.99. So cheap. Bought for use on my face so will last a while, economical. Added almond oil for moisturisation. Love it

I am going to review this product because I didn’t find a review that I was looking for and I’m going to be very honest and straightforward. I used it as shaving cream when I first bought it because I’m stupid and didn’t realize what it was.

This morning while I was showering, I read it and realize that it didn’t have the word shave on it… Odd. So I read it and realized what it was and decided on a whim that I would try it out. Just for reference, I haven’t shaved in about a week because I was on my period, and I figured that it wouldn’t remove everything completely but I decided to use it anyway.

I put it on and made the mistake of spreading it a little too low… Keep it on your bikini area, it reallyyyy stings if you don’t. To my surprise I actually removed probably about 90% of my hair and I was extremely surprised, I didn’t smell the bad smell anybody else was, it was fine to me before during and after, nice even.

And for the hair it does miss, it’s not very hard to remove it all, it just takes some time. I used a washcloth to do this, I have really nice towels. Each washrag I own is about $30 alone (just to show you that they are nice), and even with that it was still very rough on my skin and I do not recommend a washcloth.

If I continue to use this product I might go out of my way to buy a specific group of cloths that are softer on the skin and more gentle to use more frequently. But at the end of the day, I actually really liked it and I probably will use it again.

I really like this product! I purchased this product for really cheap because I used a coupon and thought oh it’s just regular Nair that I used to use years ago that would leave my skin feeling burned.

I was wrong! They’ve definitely improved the formula and I didn’t have negative reactions. This make getting rid of pubic hair and armpit hair so easy!! I just use this every two weeks and let it sit for about 10 minutes before washing it off.

It take off all the hairs so easily! This 100000% beats shaving and having razor burn bumps! Even though I purchased this product with a coupon, I will gladly pay full price when I run out!.

With summer right around the corner having smooth and clean shaven skin is important to me, but I do not always feel like shaving. I’m so happy that I found this Nair Bladeless Shave foam that is so easy and convenient to use and gives me smooth, hairless legs, underarms within minutes! This product comes out of the bottle like shaving foam and you apply a thick lather to the skin you want to remove the hair from.

Then you leave it on for 5-10 minutes and it will do its magic! Afterwards, simply wipe it off with a warm wet washcloth and you are left with super soft and smooth skin. I’m very impressed by the ease of use of this product and that it does not irritate my skin at all.

No shaving necessary equals no risk of nicks and cuts, it’s a win-win! I love the peace of mind! The only thing I didn’t like is the smell of when the product is working, it has a fairly strong chemical scent.

But otherwise, I would definitely recommend this product and would love if the fragrance is going to get improved, too.

Really enjoyed using this product. I haven’t had a great track record with keeping up with hair removal the way I should. I also am not sold yet on the tiny razors. I am however sold on this product.

It worked just as said and I love that their is an after removal product. I took one star off because it does take a minute to figure out how to get all the hair off, meaning that it should be done after exfoliation.

Otherwise I highly recommend it.

OK, so after trying everything I could find, including home remedies suggested online, I would recommend this stuff because it works. I only wish it came in a gallon jug because as I age, the hair that grew on other parts of my anatomy has now discovered to a new neighborhood – my face – all over my face! I could use up this tiny tube in one sitting, so I’ve relegated it to my stache.

Keeps it in check for about a week. Unfortunately, I still spend a few minutes every other day outside with two pair of reading glasses on and a magnifying mirror that is so powerful it is scary, and I pluck whiskers not only from my chin and neck but from my cheeks and even around my eyes.

I don’t think men have whiskers around their eyes! So unfair.

I followed the 24 hour test. Everything was fine. I then used this product, on my face, after 6 minutes, not even the full 8 I felt my face burning in different spots, so I immediately removed it off my face.

I ended up with a chemical burn from this product. Not an allergic reaction, a chemical burn. Was in pain for over a week & a half. I used lavender oil to heal my face. Thank God it worked amazingly!!!.

I have been using this specific item for a couple of years now although I do not have sensitive skin. This is the first time I’ve purchased this item with its new packaging. This product will definitely remove hair, but my skin was very irritated.

For an item to cause the redness and such a burning sensation it caused me with normal skin, I can’t imagine what it would do to one with sensitive skin.

I am a woman aged 65. I have been de-fuzzing my face for many years. I used to use De-Fuzz and suffered through the smell and burn for many years. After trying Fresh and Smooth for the first time I can truly say this is so much better.

Although hair removal creams are a great solution to removing unwanted hair I think people are often put off because they used to smell awful! In the past few years they have really improved ant this is the best I have used.

No unpleasant smell here, previously they used to all smell like perming lotion which was quite unpleasant but this smells nice and leaves the skin feeling soft. Very quick and mess free, just put it on wait around 5 minutes (maximum of 10 minutes for more stubborn hair) scrape off with the provided tool (again the tool has a much better shape than the previous small spatulas) then shower.

I have sensitive skin yet had no issues with irritation from this product. Not as long lasting as waxing (but with zero pain factor) but lasts longer than shaving and regrowth doesn’t seem as prickly.

All round a great option for hair removal especially with summer coming up!.

After spending an entire evening reading every review on every hair removal cream I could find, I decided on this one. My skin is prone to eczema and using hair removal creams in the past (10+ years ago), always gave me a rash.

However, I tried this one and my gosh have the formula changed, nothing like the strong smell I remember. Put on as instructed, took off after 5 minutes and boom! Smooth summer legs without a hair or rash to be seen.

I recommend this to anyone who’s struggling to find / make the right wax for your body like I was. Get this before you buy from Gigi. This is super simple to use and I love that it is in a glass jar, I can microwave it to heat it, and then put it in my warmer and it stays perfect consistency for as long as I need it while I’m waxing.

What I like about this versus mainstream waxes is that it washes off during the process very easily with witch hazel on a wet wash cloth and doesn’t leave the skin sticky or glue-like. It’s safe for skin like mine which is really sensitive.

I use this Veet cream to remove the hair that I have on my back (I ask my partner to always help and apply the cream on my back :)). The whole process is extremelly easy. Aply the cream, wait for a few minutes, then remove and have a shower.

The results last for months!.

I tried both the Veet cream and the spray-on foam. I got the same experience with both–my legs were so smooth and hairless the first night I did this, but by the next day, I had stubble. With the amount of time it takes to wait for the cream/foam to work, I would rather just shave.

If your hair is finer than mine and Veet works really well for you, I would recommend the spray-on foam with the removal “spatula” over the cream since it was a lot easier to use.

I got this Nair tough hair removal cream to try on my legs. I have been shaving since I was a kid, I don’t like waxing or using the epillator as its too painful. Unfortunately I’ve got policystic ovaries which comes with extensive hair growth and dark hair over my body.

I tried Nair on my legs. Applied the cream with the spatula that comes with it, it was easy. The smell is not too offensive and I didn’t feel any pain/burning etc. It says in the instruction to try to see if hair comes off after 5-6 minutes but maximum time it can stay on is 15 minutes.

I thought I would definitely have to leave this on for maximum time, but I tried a small area after the 5 minutes anyway. To my surprise the hair come off easy, so I was scraping my whole leg and wow, I could just wipe away my strong black hair.

After getting it off I stepped in the shower and washed my legs off with warm water. My legs feel amazing, not a hair in sight. I honestly didn’t believe this would be so easy. I’ll be addicted to this stuff now.
