I have always been an a fan of mechanical exfoliation. However, I recently DESTROYED my skin barrier after buying products from a consultation from an esthetician working for the company of a very well known medical grade skincare company (not sold on LovelySkin).
I went to a new esthetician at a very reputable plastic surgeon’s office and she turned me on to this once my barrier was repaired. It is gentle enough to use with retin-a but also feels like it is actually doing something.
I can’t explain it. It is like the perfect in between very abrasive scrubs and those scrubs that feel like nothing. Also, there is NO overpowering fragrance, doesn’t break me out and does not sting. Please try it!.
This is the first cleanser I re-purchase. I first got this at my local spa, but sadly it closed due to COVID. I’m really happy with this product, it cleans and shrinks the look of my pores and leaves my skin looking tight and polished without drying it.
It’s lasted me a very long time too, and a small amount is all you need. I haven’t tried the other cleansers but this one worked for me and I’m sticking to it. I’ve also used the collagen hydrator and the nutrient toner and will be re-purchasing them too.
I can’t recommend PCA Skin products enough, they are the best products I’ve ever tried and will not put anything on my face if it’s not from PCA.
sounds kind of weird but this product uses smashed wood pulp which is biodegradable obviously as the gentle manual exfoliant. I am not a fan of manual excellence for the most part because people tend to over script their skin which leads to loss plasticity and capillary issues as well as aggravating acne.
That said this is gentle enough with a chemical exfoliant added as well that I really enjoy this product. The fragrance is amazing that in my clients buy it nonstop and love it. Good price point too.
Professional skincare brand Paula’s Choice present the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant; an award-winning treatment ideal for combination to oily skin types. Rapidly absorbed, the leave-on formula offers a gentle, non-abrasive solution to exfoliation.
Utilising Salicylic Acid (BHA), it chemically exfoliates the surface layer of skin, helping to dissolve dead cells and unclog pores for a more even and refined texture. The addition of Green Tea delivers essential antioxidants to neutralize free radicals and provide anti-aging properties, while Methylpropanediol optimizes the efficacy of the BHA and imparts a dewy, fresh finish.
Skin is left feeling deeply cleansed and decongested, with a clarified and balanced tone. Non-irritating and 100% fragrance free. Not tested on animals. Please Note: Those allergic to aspirin (acetylsalicylate) should not use products containing salicylic acid (beta hydroxy acid).
I don’t typically feel compelled to write reviews, but this product has changed my skin literally overnight- and there’s no way I won’t share my thoughts. I have ALWAYS dealt with acne-prone skin, texture, dullness, oily skin, hormonal acne, etc since I was a pre-teen.
Now, as a young adult, my skin gets wishy-washy and can look/feel decent for a few weeks and then go right back to breaking out and feeling super textured and rough in the snap of a finger. When it gets like that, even foundation and concealer cannot hide the tiny bumps or dark spots that stick around after a breakout has subsided.
Around this time last month, I was in Sephora, trying to use up a gift card, and came across this travel-sized PC exfoliant product. I had seen it around social media for years but didn’t want to just buy another hyped product only to have it do absolutely nothing.
Then I used this product for the first time after my nighttime skincare and woke up with different skin HA. No joke. 1 day after using this product and someone even asked me what my skincare routine was, what?! I hadn’t been complimented on my skin in years! I have been using this consistently on my face morning and night, and babyyyyy my skin is soft, supple, breakout-free, redness-free, texture-free, and just so radiant.
I feel like a goddess, seriously that’s how confident I am in my skin because of this product. Nothing else in my skincare changed except the addition of this exfoliant and my skin’s health has changed so dramatically, it is crazy.
In the back of my mind I am afraid my skin issues will just suddenly return one day but day after day when I go to wash my face and feel the silky smooth skin beneath my fingertips, it makes me so giddy.
I DO get hormonal acne around that time of the month, and I am awaiting that week to see if this product combats any flare-ups from that, and I feel hopeful it will. I only knocked a star because my oily skin issues still persist but it’s not that bad.
This is my tried and true holy grail exfoliator. No matter what I try, I always come back to this one. I have emptied soooo many bottles of this. I have very sensitive, combination (super dry/normal in the winter & oily/normal in the summer but I can still use this product all year around despite my skin type) and acne prone skin.
I have to say that I hated this product the very first time I tried it–it stung my skin. It was to the point where I ran into the bathroom to wash it off my face after just a few mins of applying it.
I really tried to like the product but the sting was too painful and the SMELL of this is absolutely atrocious. The product smells like acetone to me and I probably gagged in about 20 different languages when I put it on my face for the first time (although I would rather it smell disgusting than have them add a ton fragrance to the product.
My skin doesn’t do will with heavy fragrances). I left this on my vanity for a few months before I picked it up again–I just didn’t want to waste my money. Someone told me to dilute the product with water on a cotton pad–I tried it and it didn’t sting my face nearly as bad but still some intense tingling going on.
But the next morning, I noticed how soft and rejuvenated my skin looked and felt. I continued to use it once a week and I fell in love with the product and slowly stopped diluting it as much as my skin got used to it.
After 4-5 years of using this religiously 2-3 times a week, I still feel tingling on my skin when I use it but I’ve gotten use to the feeling and the horrible smell because the results are worth it. Due to my sensitive skin, I absolutely can NOT use this product more than 2-3 times a week.
This product is wonderful. It takes me about a little less than a year.
I don’t normally post reviews, but when I see something actually make improvements to my skin I’ve gotta share my experience because I know there’s so much BS in products these days. But Paulas Choice 2% for the win! I got a small sample bottle for $10.
I read the reviews and was a little nervous to do it everyday because of what people were saying. but that wasn’t my experience. I used it everyday, morning & night. I shook the bottle 3 times into my hand and smoothed it over my entire face.
I was using the cotton pads at first, and just doing on the areas that needed it but then I ran out of the pads so I put it in my hands and honestly, it worked way better when I was just using my hands to spread it because it seemed to soak into my face better.
I saw people say that their face would get irritated by using it everyday and the way to use it correctly and see results was to use it once a week. so I just wanted to see how my face would react the next day but nothing felt bad and I decided to do it again in the morning.
I loved how it felt on my skin, and I only had 1 flare up and that was a week later May 26-27th (Photos Included) The pimple went away quickly and I still decided to put the product on my face Night & Day.
I saw people say it isn’t good for sun exposure so not to use it during the day, but I am staying home at the moment so I don’t go outside as often, maybe 20 mins a day. So I took that caution with a grain of salt.
If you go outside more, maybe you should listen to that warning lol. I am not a product expert of how to use it correctly, all I know is I used it night and day and the hyperpigmentation/dark spots on my forehead have really toned down and my skin looks a lot more smooth/brighter which I love.
I always feel like I’m glowing and it feels spa like when I put it on, it’s got a nice relaxing smell and a nice soothing texture to it that isn’t too oily. I still have more in the small bottle and will be buying again! :).

Love this stuff. I use a microdermabrasion face scrub twice a week and this product is one of my favorite ones. It gets rid of acne scars, leaves skin soft, and overall makes my skin look so much better.
Gentle face scrub that does the job. I used to use Roc microdermabrasion scrub but they no longer carry it so I was so excited to try this one from DRMTLGY and I honestly like this one better. I haven’t noticed any change with my pore size but it’s doing a fantastic job keeping my number 11s away.
I do use it dry first then a final scrub wet when rinsing off.
This exfoliant gently rids the complexion of dull, dry skin, revealing a natural glow. Mix a small amount of powder with a few drops of warm water in hands until a creamy foam is created, then massage into damp skin for 30 seconds to one minute.

A deep clean worthy of the Barber Grade badge. Over time, dirt, oil and debris can build up in your pores. Our Face Scrub contains natural walnut shells to help remove impurities and gently polish away dead skin – leaving your face looking fresh and feeling renewed.
The rich, moisturizing formula is designed to nourish and protect sensitive facial skin. As an added benefit, it works great as an exfoliating pre-shave treatment-for a true Barber Grade shave experience.
Dispense a quarter-sized amount into hands. Apply to face in a gentle, circular motion. Avoid eye area. Rinse completely. Suggested use: 2-3 times per week.
This Face Scrub is great! I only just recently discovered this. Cremo Face Scrub has all the grit and graininess you could ask for, but it flows like liquid out of the tube. It does the job and rinses off my face easily.
I’m a total convert. Glad to add one more Cremo product to my regimen.
I started using this product at my wife’s suggestion, and I am amazed at the results. I use this scrub three times a week and my skin looks and feels much healthier, younger, and smoother. As I get older I can honestly say that this product will be a part of my daily regimen.
Really good facial scrub, but needs more walnut shells in its formula. When you are using the scrub you can feel that they are sparse and that you are not getting full exfoliating coverage. And, since this is a facial scrub, it’s not its best without the shells.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub continues to win in this department until Cremo ups its walnut shell game. Everything else (smell, moisturizing, rinsability) with this scrub is spot on.
New. No Dermatologist recommended facial skincare brand. Visibly reduces the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation, revealing brighter skin. Gentlebrighter complex with niacinamide. 5 skin sensitivity signs.
Gently dissolves dead skin cells and removes impurities without stripping skin of its moisture. Sensitive skin friendly polyhydroxy acid (PHA) gently exfoliates, refines, and brightens. Won’t clog pores.
I eyed this product at the store, but ultimately bought it after seeing it on a “Mixed Makeup” video (skincare blog/expert). It’s aimed towards people who want to exfoliate their face and even their skin tone, but that may not be able to tolerate harsher acids/exfoliating acids.
It moderately lathers, but a little goes a long way! I use the same bottle for over 2 months. I have sensitive, very dry skin, and this product left my skin a tiny red immediately after application. However, that redness disappeared after about 3 minutes (so no biggie).
I found it works better (for dry skin) when you use it as part of a double cleanse. I used an oil based cleanser to remove my makeup first, then went in with this afterwards. The combination made my skin feel a little more hydrated post-cleanse.
I absolutely love this product, I am being 100% honest when I say that I am officially trading up my skincare routine to be using only Cetaphil Healthy Radiance products. It is formulated for ultra sensitive skin, they have it ranked on a scale of 1-5 so you can easily see that on the front of the bottle.
It is unscented, it is light and lathers well and leaves your skin feeling clean but not like the oils have been stripped from your skin and it doesn’t feel like it damages the moisture barrier at all.
I have such sensitive skin that even most products made for sensitive skin will irritate me in some way and mostly leave my combination skin still feeling dry, especially in my problem areas where the dry skin seems to come back no matter what.
With the healthy radiance I have not had any issues at all with dryness, those tough spots are gone and I really feel that is because of how sensitive it is on the moisture barrier! I have been a CeraVe loyalist for 5+ years, my mom works at a dermatologist office and always brings home samples so I was able to try a few and settle there for a few years.
With these new products in the healthy radiance line I am more than willing to switch to this line indefinitely. I’m so excited to have found something that takes care of my problem areas! Cetaphil Healthy Radiance Gentle PHA Exfoliating Cleanser.
3 stars bc it does what it says. It is smoothing and brightening. I have combo skin but lean dry around my nose and mouth in winter. After 3 days of using this I applied it and my face was on fire. Even cool water and moisturizer were burning.
Then I had days of flaky skin bc I broke my moisture barrier with this. I have found once or twice a week only in the am ( bc it’s not great at removing makeup anyway) followed by a very hydrating cleanser the other days seems to work.
It really is smoothing and brightening and the day after I use it my skin is baby smooth but be careful cause it will burn your skin off if you use too much.
[ EXFOLIATING FACE WASH ] Salicylic acid (SA) is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA), an effective exfoliator that removes dead skin cells and promotes radiance. Salicylic acid acts as a chemical exfoliant which feels less harsh than physical ones like face scrubs [ FOAMING CLEANSER ] Dispenses as a clear gel and transforms into a foaming face wash as you lather.

Cerave SA skin care products provide exfoliation and skin relief to dry skin, rough and bumpy skin, and all other skin types [ 3 ESSENTIAL CERAMIDES ] Ceramides are found naturally in the skin and make up 50% of the lipids in the skin barrier.

Not for normal to combo skin. I would say it would definitely help those with combo skin that leans more oily to oily skin. Definitely not for sensitive skin either. I have combo skin that leans more normal.
Not dry, not too oily, my nose is the most oily place and even then it’s not horrible. I used to be very oily when I was younger and lived in a humid state. Though the cleanser does well at evening the skin and making it feel smooth and clean, it left my skin very dry, tight, red, flakey, and caused my skin to burn when putting on my moisturizer.
I’ve never had a bad reaction to my moisturizer until then. Which tells me this cleanser completely stripped my skin barrier. I even tried other moisturizers, to see if it was the fragance in my first one, nope, even aquaphor burned.
The only place thats ever been senstive on my face has been my under eye area but only to sunscreens, never cleansers or moisturizers. I had to slug my skin just to renew my moisture barrier, and now i’m dealing with breakouts.
Live and learn, no hate to this cleanser, i love cerave, but this particular cleanser is most definitely for really oily skin that isn’t sensitive. Not for normal unlike what the bottle says. If you have normal to combo skin that isn’t highly sensitive (if it is i suggest the hydrating cream cleanser) i highly suggest the hydrating cream to foam cleanser.
It still has salicylic acid to exfoliate, but it isn’t stripping and also has hyaluronic acid and ceramides to help rehydrate, without leaving you feeling greasy or dirty since it still has the surfactants of a foaming cleanser.
I have the same smoothing effect, without the stripping. Also don’t use this if you already use the 10% niacinamide serum from The Ordinary. 10% is already high (recommend no more than 7% total) and This cleanser has like 2-4% niacinamide in it, which is plenty for the skin, and using both is gonna over do it and make you more likely to have a bad reaction.
This cleanser has been a godsend for my dry, combination skin. I have areas of flakey dry spots then areas of more buildup and blackheads around my nose and chin, and neck. It’s gentle enough to use 3 times a day or as much as you wash your face and I wash mine a lot.
The beauty of this product, is its versatility and the beneficial components of alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliate and smooth skin, even when I’m having the worst kind of hormonal breakouts it can camouflage the redness and irritation and it just kind of smoothes the look and feel of your complexion so you can follow up with a toner, moisturizer and makeup if necessary.
I was initially recommended this cleanser by my dermatologist, and then even more intrigued once I started to read all the positive reviews and feedback, it’s a game changer. It is the cleanser for you if your struggling with less then ideal texture issues, bumpiness as well as an uneven complexion.
This cleanser has benefited my skin in so many ways, and its pore minimizing smoothing effects allow me to get away with just wearing a light tinted moisturizer most days. I cannot say enough good things about this formula.
It doesn’t dry you out, it exfoliates and smoothes better then most of my heavy gritty exfoliating cleansers and treatments, evens out your tone and clears you up. It is a clear gel, of a thinner consistency but the alpha hydroxy acids are the key to its exceptional smoothing ability.
Love it try it! If your on the drier side, have patchiness but also some areas that are prone to enlarged clogged pores, this product may work as well for you as it does for me.
🌿This is a review for the SA Cleanser from Cerave. The brand claims it can help exfoliate and smooth your skin while also effectively removing oil and dirt, sweeping away dead cells, and softening rough skin—without leaving skin feeling dry.
I know this to be true! It has been a dream on my late 30’s skin. I have been using it at night and AM. away from the eye area- and allowing it to sit on the skin for a minute or two before rinsing. This is allowing it to work into the pores.
My skin has never felt so fresh- so clean. 🌿It is safe for cleansing the BODY too. Suitable for use on your face and body as well as acne-prone skin, this salicylic acid cleanser not only exfoliates the skin, but with three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinimide, it also helps soften and smooth the skin without disrupting its protective barrier.
This formula is also non-comedogenic. 🌿This is fantastic if you deal with breakouts, acne, etc. I myself am using for anti-aging. But what is great is my teen son is using for oil control- breakout prevention.
Such a 👍 all around family usage product! A good $ value too.

I was excited to try this product as an Influenceser because of course it’s winter and it seemed perfect for this season’s skin conditions! My face felt really clean after I used it and my skin felt nice, like a perfect balance! It has a nice lather , it leaves my face feeling very clean but not tight.
I felt so fresh afterwards. On the negative side but it’s really a preference I found it to be runny, so when I opened the product some oozes out. I wish it was a little thicker. Overall it’s a very good product I found it really a perfect balance of clean.
It has very very light fragrance and it didn’t bother my face which is currently because of winter dry and sensitive, but it soothed my dry sensitive skin. After it felt better. I definitely would consider buying this product again but I do wish it was thicker.
Pros: actually gentle No scent Minimal dryness Very small exfoliation beads Cons: physical exfoliant (not good for the skin barrier) So gentle that my skin only felt a little exfoliated As someone with extremely sensitive skin, my first experience using this scrub was ok.
Although it is a physical exfoliant, my skin didn’t feel as smooth and soft as other scrubs. I had no redness or dryness so that’s a plus. Two stars because it’s labeled as a scrub and it barely scrubbed anything.
The dry spot on my nose is still there and so is the roughness on my forehead. I will continue to use and see if I get any breakouts (will update later).
the Scrub was very gentle. if you have super sensitive skin tis might be the scrub you want to try. it’s not as abrasive as other scrubs I’ve used. After using it, it didn’t try out my skin and it did feel super hydrated either.
The packaging is nothing special just your typical packaging. I didn’t really care for the scent. I also would have liked for it to a have a little more lather seeing that the scrubing properties are so gentle.
Overall the product is ok. Will continue using it.

This is a pretty decent exfoliator. I received this from PINCHme in exchange for my honest review. This is made with rice granules and has the scent of white rice which I’m not particularly fond of. At first it felt a little harsh on my skin, but then smoothed out.
I noticed the affects immediately. My skin was super soft and smooth, plus it looked brighter. It contains no artificial perfumes or colors as well as no harsh chemicals. Unfortunately, even though it did smooth my skin, it was short lived.
This would make me break out the next day. I used it once a week for about 3 weeks and every time after using, I woke up to new pimples. I do like that it made my skin brighter and smoother, but I’m not happy about the breakouts afterwards.
I won’t be using it anymore or purchasing in the future.
🌾 SIMPLE 🌾 Smoothing Face Scrub I am trying out this facial scrub, and I like it a lot. My face feels less greasy and at the same time less dry. The formula is also gentle on my facial skin. This scrub works very well for sensitive skin like mine.
In my experience, other sugar or salt scrub grains are very rough, and leave my skin red and irritated. I’ve had the opposite experience with this scrub, there is no redness or inflammation, it also doesn’t contain chemicals or fragrance.
It’s an excellent dirt remover for the pores and dead skin, and leaves you with a cleaner, lighter appearance on your skin. I highly recommend it!! Thank you Simple, I’m glad I got the opportunity to try one of your products!.
I got this for free from simple®-smoothing-facial-scrub. For sensitive skin and also this product contains rice granules. Even though there’s rice granules, it’s not that harsh to skin when I used it.
This is my first time to use this brand. The brand claimed that this is non comedogenic, hypoallergenic, no artificial perfume or color and no harsh chemicals. Also contains mineral oil, germ powder (oryza sativa rice) and hydrated silica (not good).
All in all ingredients? l am not satisfied. Mostly just chemical formula.

I am a female with sensitive skin, and I purchase this product for my husband. Surprise! I have use it more than him and can’t stop buying it. The product comes out of the bottle fast with it’s loose consistency but a lot goes such a long way.
It is very gentle on the skin and suds up very nicely. The best thing about the face wash is washing it off your face. Oh my word your face feel so clean and smooth. No residue, dryness or itchy feel.
Men, my husband loves this produce too. It has truly helped with reducing the ingrown hairs in his beard and leaves it feeling so soft.
The pores on my nose were “Big Daddies” until I started using Every Man Jack’s Face Wash with Activated Charcoal. It is a deep pore cleanser with salicylic acid. This stuff reduced the “Big Daddies” to “Little Babies” in no time.
It is like reverse aging. I almost feel sorry for them. Not really! I love this stuff!.
Purchased this product for my teenage son. We had tried several other products and found this one off recommendation. And he loves it, very simple and easy process for cleaning his skin. The product doesn’t over dry or irritate his skin.
Prior to use he had some blackheads, mild acne, and very oily skin. He has been using it for over 2 months and has cleaner skin. We now have a subscription so that he doesn’t run out. This product is affordable.
What I’ve found is a lot of Targets do not have it in stock.
Exfoliating your face doesn’t require scrubbing your skin raw. Pai’s Virtuous Circle Skin Brightening Exfoliator leaves even sensitive skin with zero damage, gently washing away impurities while being gentle on our waterways, too.
This exfoliating gel formula uses biodegradable jojoba beads — instead of plastic — to buff and polish your complexion, plus omega-rich kukui oil to nourish the skin’s natural barrier, with results that feel clean, smooth, and soft.
An ultra-gentle exfoliator that gets the job done Many people mistakenly believe they need an exfoliator with grainy textures to be effective, but these can scrape at your skin and actually cause damage.
This Virtuous Circle Skin Brightening Exfoliator uses spherical jojoba beads that glide across your skin to lift away dead cells and remove impurities. How often should I exfoliate my face? It’s best practice to exfoliate your face 1–2 times a week.
Always wash away the day’s grime, makeup, and environmental pollutants first. Afterwards, be sure to moisturize. Grove carries plenty of options, including seed oils and face creams.
I ditched physical exfoliators for liquid exfoliators years ago, reading all the skin care advice online. I tried so many – Ren, Plenaire, Medik8, Then I Met You. I’d read all these reviews with people saying how much these liquid exfoliants made a difference to their skin or got rid of those little bumps under their skin or with overall brightening, and I’d wonder if I was using a different product entirely because I never ever saw any difference! But I persevered because I assumed, based on the stuff you see on the big skincare blogs online, that they were better for your skin than exfoliator scrubs.
Lately, after using prescription retinol, my skin came up with lots of hard white spots. Disheartened, I went to see a facialist who told me I really had to exfoliate -with a physical exfoliator. I bought Virtuous Circle and did just that.
I use it a little more often than recommended on the site, more like every other day, but it’s so gentle and lovely my skin can take it. I see *instant* results in terms of softness, but also texture and brightness, and the way the rest of my Pai products soak into my skin afterwards.
And all those hard little bumps under my skin: for the first time, completely gone, in a way that liquid exfoliators just never did. I don’t know how Pai does it, but their products WORK!!.
Since my last consultation with one of Pai’s excellent advisors I have been using Virtuous Circle more frequently than I had been. I appreciate the need to remove dead cells to allow other products to do their work! I especially use it on my forehead and nose area where the skin has a tendency to get congested.
It is gentle, but effective, leaving my skin smoother after use. I also greatly appreciate the fact that the product is totally biodegradable.
My previous experience of other gentle exfoliators with jojoba beads is that they don’t work. I have used Pai products before, which I liked and decided to give this a go. I love the look and texture of the product.
It is easy to massage round your face and is very gentle with no scratching at all. The fact that it emulsifies on contact with water is another plus for me. It leaves the skin smooth and not dry at all.
I’m so impressed I don’t think I’ll be trying any others again.
Help cleanse deep down into pores for soft, smooth feeling skin with Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub. Mild enough for everyday use and this creamy exfoliating scrub helps clean deep into the pores and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, and after just one use.
The unique dermatologist-tested face scrub formula contains gentle exfoliators to exfoliate dull, dead surface skin. Beta hydroxy formula penetrate deep into pores to remove dirt and oil. The rich, foaming lather rinses clean and is oil-free and non-comedogenic.
Changed the formula without any messaging, now takes more product to clean same surface area. I blame Neutrogena, not Walmart for this as I’d never had known until using product and can’t expect Walmart to endlessly test every product they sell to try keeping their vendors honest.
I’d expect better from N as well. Cleaning ability seems about the same but you need to use more of the product for same skin coverage. It’s a higher viscosity, and more oily out of the container than before.
It’s much, much harder to work into a lather on your hands before applying to your face, and you’ll use at least 50% more of it than before. Not to be paranoid, but was that N’s intention here to increase sales? Comparing my last 3 containers of this over the last several months, to 10 years of using what has been sold as exactly the same product.
Doesn’t seem like I got a one off lemon, and I feel like I know this product at least as well as any other user.
I have used this cleanser daily for over 15 years. I opened a new container this week, and on the first use I knew something was different. The little scrubbing beads were gone, the consistency was thicker, the fresh smell was gone, and I felt like I had a residue on my face after using.
Had to scrub hard with plain water to remove the film. Then I saw the words “new formula” on the label. I used it for two more days, and finally decided that I can’t continue using it, there is nothing about it that I like.
Please bring back the old formula, until then I will be looking elsewhere for a face cleanser.
I’ve been using Neutrogena since the 90’s. This cleanser is a lot different than any other I’ve ever tried. It’s thick and creamy with a slight scent. It feels really nice smoothing it over my face. Then comes the weirdness.
It feels like a reverse Icy-Hot. At first there’s a warming sensation. As I start to rinse it, I have a pretty intense cooling sensation. Everytime I use this I still keep checking my skin after showering for any irritation.
This gentle e. l. f. Exfoliating Scrub helps polish away dead skin cells for healthy, glowing looking skin. Infused with purified water and vitamin E, its rich hydration leaves skin feeling smooth and looking more luminous.
I love this exfoliating cleaner. I use it once every couple weeks to get that really deep cleaning on my face. This gives me that deep cleaning without being too harsh. There’d nothing in it to be abrasive enough to cause them little cuts and cause redness on the face.
It’s really perfect for gentle exfoliation. Elf really just has this skin care line perfect!.
This was a surprise. I recieved this in a subscription box so it took me a little while to use it. One day I saw it in the shower! My husband dug through my cleansers! Shocked because 1. He complains about my makeup, skincare, haircare, etc but what got me was we have been married for 14 years and as much as I nagged at him to use something other than regular soap on his face I now see a Cleanser of mine in the shower.
anyway I used it and loved it. Mild expholiation, very soft skin. Elf keeps surprising me over and over. As far as leaving it in the shower for hubby nope took it away and replaced it with another brand I had multiples of lol.
The pore cleansing exfoliator gives the skin some much-needed, gentle exfoliation to help wash away pesky dead skin cells, making way for brighter looking skin. The exfoliator is enriched with jojoba beads, soft little skin scrubbers made from biodegradable natural wax.
It will help to shift stubborn dirt and grime for that deeply cleansed feeling. It leaves the skin refreshingly clean while tackling excess oil or rough patches along the way. This face exfoliator is also infused with mineral-rich seaweed from the crisp waters of West Cork, Ireland.
This exfoliator is gentle enough to be used daily. Personally, I use this every other day, or whenever my skin feels gritty and uneven. It has also helped preventing and healing my pimples and breakouts.
This is a great scrub if not for the presence of some chemicals (SLS, Alcohol, salicylate) and microplastics. While the exfoliation for this cleanser is not microbeads but from Jojoba beads and olive stone, it does list Acrylates Copolymer as a stabilizing ingredient.
Having said that, this is by far one of the best physical exfoliator I have used. I would recommend this for oily-combination skin types while those with dry skin can use this sparingly. More reviews: jellobeans(.
Honestly I loved this face wash. I did notice breakouts more though. Tabatha Brown suggested this brand and she’s vegan maybe is to why she didn’t receive any breakouts. I did notice an improvement in the brightness of my skin.
I seen one of the ingredients at Sodium P -something (honest I think was a 3 Part word). At the time that I was using it I read from a dermatologist and serval articles that the ingredients makes you break out.
I absolutely love this exfoliator, as well as a lot of the other seaweed line products! I still have some issues with acne (mainly due to stress or hormones), so have been using the tea tree line for the past year as my main cleansing routine.
I’ve dabbled in the Vitamin C line with TBS as well, and love that as well. My acne seemed to get under control with both of these, and I’d have times when I felt my skin was really clear (I’ve written reviews in favor of the tea tree line).
However. I just tried the seaweed products and WOW! Don’t get me wrong, tea tree is great! But lately I’ve been feeling like it may be just a bit too strong for me. My acne is not bad—just random pimples that pop up at the same times (high stress), sometimes being cystic.
My issue has been more of trying to get rid of the scarring from before, and keeping new break outs at bay. Tea tree helped, but I thought the other week “what if it’s just a bit too strong for what I need? And it’s actually not helping as much as I thought?” So, I ordered the seaweed exfoliator, facial cleanser and toner.
It definitely seems to be helping me more! My face feels so much smoother, and the scarring seems to have lessened. I still have some pimples (YAY stress!!!), but the seaweed line seems to be helping me more than the tea tree, just because FOR MY SKIN TYPE it’s better suited.
My acne is still an issue but it is not extensive, so the strictly acne line is no longer as appropriate for me. I’m getting a bit older so I’m focusing more on brightening my skin as well as getting rid of acne/scarring.
The seaweed and Vitamin C lines combined have been helping me greatly! If you have acne, but it isn’t extensive, definitely try seaweed! If it is extensive, I would also recommend tea tree!.
There are a few things to consider when choosing a facial exfoliator for sensitive skin. The first is the ingredients. You want to make sure that the exfoliator does not contain any harsh chemicals or abrasive particles that could damage or irritate your skin.
Second, you want to consider the texture of the exfoliator. A gentle, creamy exfoliator is usually best for sensitive skin. Finally, you want to make sure that the exfoliator is designed for sensitive skin.
Some exfoliators are too harsh for sensitive skin and can cause irritation, redness, and dryness.
