Best Face Cream For Oily Skin Men (2026 Updated)

Love it. Great after a shave with Supreme Cream. Nice clean feel and scent. Minor quibble with the dispenser. On the one hand, I like having a pump but the amount dispensed with each pump is really small.

I wind up using like 7-8 pumps for each application. The product itself is first-rate, though.

So I’m a man pro at men’s grooming supplies etc. I have tried all brands however Jack Black is and has been my favorite and it actually does and acts how they claim! This is the only face lotion I will and can use, my skin is kind of combo-ish and this literally is a matte finish, cooling feeling, has no smell, not heavy feeling, no spf which I prefer, and feels amazing.

I highly recommend this lotion plus every product they sell. Especially the new Turbo Body lotion!!.

I mix this stuff with the Double Duty to help offset the cost. I like both of them but Clean Break is 50% more per ounce as compared to Double Duty. Also, when you mix the two, you get a lot of different ingredients to help with moisturizing and it helps keep the Double Duty from being quite so greasy IMO.

I will occasionally use them separately but I have a squeeze bottle in my car that is a mixture of the two. Love JB products. Customer for life.

I tried a sample and loved it initially because it *felt* nice. Bought it, used for a few weeks. threw it away in the end after two weeks of use. I realized the smooth feeling you get from this is from the silicone ingredients.

There are mostly only very basic ingredients in this. Oil free can be good, but sometimes even acne prone skin can handle oil, and can even benefit from certain oils. I am combo. mildly oily and normal in different areas of my face.

In the end, this looked horrible under my makeup. meaning it made it look as if my skin was flaking off with the makeup. Like I had dry, scaly skin. But it was this balling/flaking. This effect was the worst around my eye area, where I need the most moisture.

I would avoid this if you are trying to avoid many products with dimethicone. This contains “smoothing” ingredients and thickeners, but there isn’t anything about this that sets it apart from all of the various moisturizers for oiler/combo skin – and there isn’t enough moisture.

I will give it points for the inclusion of antioxidants, but the presence of silicone bumps my praise down. This *is* marketed as a men’s product – and it is *assumed* by most marketing teams that the average man does not wear makeup, so they do not bother formulating a product such as this one for use under cosmetics.

Over the years, I’ve been trying to have a simpler and simpler routine, most cost effective and that can also be used by my boyfriend. This is my holy grail morning moisturizer. SPF is key. And it’s not even expensive.

I have combo skin. It is moisturizing but not intensely so. I think it could work for anyone. I do use something heavier before bed. I don’t wear make up and combined with Drunk Elephant’s bronzing drops this gives me a wonderful ‘glow’.

This product never breaks me out. I’m not sure it is contributing to improving my skin (other than the sun protection, of course) but it is an easy to use step that has no downsides. Being a men’s product, it encourages my partner to wear sunscreen.

It does has a bit of a ‘manly’ smell, but barely, and you’d never be able to smell it after application.

I rarely give 5 stars, but this is perfect. It’s not greasy or heavy at all, but it still moisturizes (combination skin). It has a nice scent; a little on the masculine side, but it goes away quickly.

It doesn’t react with my makeup. It saves me a step because I don’t have to add sunscreen. Now, I’m not big on pumps, but this one deliver the exact amount of product I need. That said, I would still prefer it came in a tube, but this pump is actually good! I was hesitant on purchasing this (it looks like it smells like aqua velva) but at that price, I thought I would give it a shot and if I don’t like it, I could give it to my husband.

But now I hope he doesn’t use it. :).

this is my favorite spf moisturizer! it is very lightweight and still protects my very pale and sensitive skin. the charcoal face wash doesn’t have the most pleasant smell, but the scent doesn’t linger after being rinsed away.

I do like the smell of the moisturizer though. it’s light and fresh and not overpowering.

I believe WoW People did more research on the container itself that the product price went sky high. It’s container is actually pretty different, innovative and I like it. The product however; is pretty average and a little overpriced I would say.

Although, it doesn’t leave any oily effect on the face and has subtly decent smell, which is nice.

This amazing vitamin c product has done wonders to my skin. I had a sun spot on my nose from sun damage. And let me tell you it’s almost gone. My face feels amazing and I look amazing. Even my dermatologist asked what I was using cause she said woman my age sees them with aging skin or wrinkles.

She said my skin looked so good for my age which I will be 49 soon. So thank you wow with all your wonderful products.

It’s a wonderful cream and I am completely satisfied with the product. My skin was dry and I was facing serious acne problems. I have tried various other products but it didn’t give me any changes. Finally I decided to use this cream.

Now my skin problems has been reduced and my skin is now hydrated. Really liked the cream.

Hello JB welcome to my boyfriends life. This is fantastic as he wears this at night as he’s so against any daytime moisturizer (unless sunscreen when he golfs) this is extremely light and he wakes with baby soft skin that he loves to show off and his face is non greasy without the tacky left over texture.

Really actually no texture except baby smooth skin so I bought his more for him to travel with. Well I ran out of my stuff (prescription acne medication) the one day and I have oily acne prone skin and was going to work and def needed my daily treatment under my makeup I grabbed this and used it for the glycolic acid.

Well let me tell you what. This is better than my prescription stuff my skin was FLAWLESS after my 12 hour shift!!!! No blotting, no oil whatsoever!!!! Who would have thought?! So maybe just maybe we’ll be sharing this (with or without my prima Donna boyfriends approval haha).

My collection of Jack Black products has been steadily growing, and this was my latest purchase. I’m on Accutane to help with some acne scars and minor acne, and as a result have had terrible dry skin.

Now a few months in my skin is not excessively dry, and with moisturizer twice a day looks completely normal. To help with exfoliation and flaking I started using this, and man what a difference it has made.

No flakiness, dry look, or peeling anymore. I use it once a day and the results are very noticeable. Amazing product.

This is a superior product. I’ve used it a year now and my skin tone is the best Ive ever seen. Looks far healthier. I’ve done a lot of reading about glycolic acid. The consensus is to use a 10% or less glycolic each night.

This is better than getting a chemical peel or using a 30% product on occasion. I’m 59 and Im telling you this is the way to go for anti-aging. I use nine JB products and if I had to give them all up but one I’d keep this one.

After trying more expensive skin care products, including crossing into the world of women’s skin care. yikes, I found Tiege through Aaron Marino’s YouTube channel. I ordered one months supply and was impressed on how well it all felt on my skin and blended in.

After the first month I was blown away and signed up for s subscription. The Super Serum is amazing and within a few weeks I noticed a big difference in the overall complexion. The eye and daily lotions top it off and smooth out those pesky lines around my eyes.

All of those are based on having clear fresh skin of which the daily soap and twice a week scrub keeps it going. Truly love the feeling of my face after the scrub- refreshing and tingly at once. The products are so good that I have a hard time keeping them out of my teenage daughter’s hands.

Highly recommend to any guy, even those that don’t think they need. because you do!.

This product doesn’t work as well as I would like for it to. I’ve been using this product for over a week now. Don’t get me wrong. It has helped reduce my acne. But not completely eliminate it all together.

If I’m going to pay a premium for skin care products, I want my acne to go away within the first: 24 hours after applying it. But they won’t produce a product that produces those types of results because they have to convert the customer into an annuity.

Basically, they want you – (The consumer) – to be dependent on the product so you’ll come back and buy more of their average skin care products. I’m going to try ‘Lumin’ in hopes that it will work better.

But I have low expectations going in.

hey everyone ! so I personally have extremely oily skin and I’ve been really searching for a cleanser and moisturizer that helps me and I fr have gone through so many brands but I recently bought this moisturizer and paired it with the cleanser meant for oily skin and let me tell you , it works but too well.

I’ve never had dry skin in my life but after using this moisturizer, my skin is like the Sahara desert. It burned for a few minutes after putting it on then left my skin so dry that it felt like I was wearing a clay mask.

It works ! I didn’t have any problems with an oily face after but it had my skin so dry, it was so uncomfortable. I’ve been using it for almost a week and each time , it burns and leaves my face extremely dry so I usually add Vaseline after to help but I think I’m good off this product now.

I started using this product like 2 months ago, and it is a serious game changer. I was using the Effaclar line already, the face wash, the duo spot treatment, and sometimes the toner which dried my face out.

I would always try lotions and it would break me out even more. Then I started using this treatment. I went from having like 4 new breakouts a day down to one or none. It’s also nice because it doesn’t give you that greasy film afterwards.

I usually don’t write reviews ever, but this is one product that I would suggest to ANYONE. It helps break outs, it helps moisturize your skin, especially if you have combination skin like I do. And it leaves you feeling refreshed in the morning.

Ladies!! Get your paws on this face lotion! I have been searching high and low for a moisturizer that is vegan/cruelty fee, oil free, and fragrance free. So much stuff that gets marketed to us contains a bunch of stuff we don’t need or want on our faces, and it costs $$$! This gel-cream moisturizer has only a handful of ingredients and they’re all good for your skin, and it’s A FRACTION of what we pay per ounce normally.

I will say it’s a little non-standard of a texture in that it’s sort of translucent and it takes a a little bit to dry, but once it’s on, my skin is soft and smooth. I think it would work great as a makeup primer too—creates an excellent base to work some magic on.

The perfect moisturizer for my combination skin (dry in places, oily and acne-prone in others). It doesn’t clog pores and doesn’t cause zits. It’s an opaque gel that almost feels like you’re smearing Vaseline on your face – strange at first.

But it’s oil-free and completely water-soluble, and leaves every part of my face soft and not even remotely greasy. This is the only moisturizer I’ve found that does it all.

I love the face wash, lotion and the shaving products. For the past 10 years as I have aged, I have noticed flaky skin around my nose and in the T-zone. These products help with this significantly and leave my face moist without the shine.

I loved the travel kits! And even men. This cream, even a cream-gel, is the lightest moisturizer with a vigorous smell. It is believed that the formula is truly fat free. Distributed evenly, absorbed instantly.

It leaves behind a feeling of cleanliness, freshness and well-groomed. I would also note that the skin has become more elastic and dense. Mattifies, but if your skin is actually oily. In general, you will not be surprised.

It is especially pleasant to use in summer.

Living in Canada, dry skin is a problem for most people in the winter. I don’t normally use moisturizer or skin creams, but working outside a lot, especially in the winter, has forced me to weigh my options for purchasing moisturizers.

Clinique is a well known brand, and the fact that they make products geared towards men is awesome. All three products in this value set are scent free. The shave cream is okay but it definitely is more of a cream rather than a gel, which not all guys are used to when shaving.

The charcoal face wash does the job (no breakouts), but I typically prefer a scrub that actually removes impurities. The moisturizer is the focus and the best part about this set, it lasts for most of the day, and you don’t need much because it spreads quite easily.

Not too heavy and not sticky either, again no breakouts, but if you have more oily skin, Clinique has an oil control moisturizer that might help.

The Exfoliating Face Scrub made my weathered face feel like a newborns’ bottom straight away. And by weathered I mean I’ve worked outside, for example riding dog sleds in arctic winter and doing some forestry work in summer.

The Charcoal Face Wash really feels like it cleans your face without leaving your skin feeling tight and dry. Top that off with the Maximum Hydrator, hands down the best moisturiser I’ve ever used. Feels super.

well, moist, without leaving your skin greasy or sticky. It’s light, absorbs quickly but makes your skin feel hydrated and soft for hours. Smells quite pleasant too.

I’ve always wanted to try Shiseido’s skincare, but there are very, very few stockists in the country I live in. I was thrilled recently when I happened to be passing by one! I purchased the Total Revatiliser Light Fluid and in all honesty, it’s the best skincare product I have ever used.

I use another (slightly more budget-friendly but still very good) cleanser. I have a lot of allergies, so I must be very careful with this kind of thing, I have to check EVERY ingredient in EVERYTHING! It’s not great fun.

So I tend to go minimal and high quality for my skincare. In any case, I’ve used a lot of different high, mid, and more budget skincare ranges. I recently turned 40 – and I kid you not – several people have recently mistaken me for 32/33! Anyways, this is an outstanding product, the packaging, the amount that one pump delivers.

I actually loved this cream. I received it as a gift from a family member over the holidays. While it had a strong smell, I didn’t mind it. It had a really nice finish and worked well with makeup and I felt like it made a visible difference.

The reason for my low rating is because of the crazy high price and because this product line is not cruelty free, so I would not purchase again, despite how much i liked it. If the company went cruelty free, I’d consider the splurge but I can’t justify buying a product that harmed any animals…especially at that price point! I know it’s a requirement to sell products in China, but it still does not make it ok for me to ignore.

I’d be more likely to be a Shiseido consumer if I could have a more animal (and environmentally) friendly brand of products.

I’ve searched far and wide for a good eye cream to help with fine lines. product finally fit the bill. The texture is rich and luxurious and goes on so smooth. I definitely see a difference in my under eyes when I use this product.

They look hydrated and the fine lines look faded. Although it doesn’t do anything for dark circles, it does what eye cream can do, which is to minimize signs of aging and keep the skin looking plump! This is my third jar and I’m hoping this prevents future wrinkles.

Plus the smell is really nice and subtle. It’s a lux experience all around using this product and I love it.

I was recommended to purchase Facial Fuel from a close friend. I was impressed fromn the very first moment I used it. Skincare is not something I would normally blog about, however I had such incredible results that I felt compelled to take the time to share my opinions.

First thing I notice is the scent. It has a very slight masculine smell, that is not overpowering or dominating. Its just a hint which is exactly what I need. I sweat quite alot during the day and I am always careful to wear deodorant, cologne and aftershave, and I would not want another scent to interfere as it could get oveerbearing.

So the scent amount is perfectly balanced, especially for the typical active man. Next thing I noticed was the texture. It is a non-greasy and highly absorbent formula that you can feel going straight into your skin.

I instantly felt moisturised, with no oil or residue showing. I naturally have quite dry skin, and I am spending time in the sun everyday for work, so it is important to me to take care of my skin, and I am noticing more and more as I age, the importance of proper hydration vs greasy formulas that will not absorb.

The last thing to point out is that after 7 days of continuous use, my skin looked younger and more nourished. I used Facial Fuel mornings only, and I started to notice it after 7 days and so did my partner.

I was pleasantly surprised, since anti-aging is not something I would normally pay attention to. Facial Fuel has changed my daily routine, I am totally hooked and I would recommend this for any man looking to improve their daily skincare routine, as well as men 40+ who have aging concerns and work outdoors in a dry environment.

I’ve been a VERY long time user of Kiehls men’s products. I used to use this lotion when it was SPF 15, and now use the new SPF 20 product. I can say that I was skeptical at first, but I’m now 100% sure that this formula is superior to the old one.

Why? My face doesn’t get burned from the sun now. The old formula would wear off in a couple of hours, or right away if I was at all sweaty. This one continues to protect my skin for many many hours, assuming I don’t sweat too much (and even pretty well when I do).

I spent the entire weekend in the sun, having only applied this in the morning each day, and my face is not sunburned! (And I’m very fair skinned) Yes, it is a bit thicker, and you may not like it at first.

But that is the point. The thickness is necessary for it to actually protect you from dangerous UV rays. This is far better than most other sunscreens. It moisturizes, and I don’t break out. Ignore the reviews.

This is a great product.

I’ve been using Kiehl products for several years. Shaving cream, after shave, facial fuel, sunscreen. Was always happy until recently. Second product in a row where the gray top separated from the blue bottom of the tube.

And it won’t reattach. I keep products in my gym bag and now my 6. 8oz of brand new (used once) facial fuel will spill all over my gym bag – unless I can go get a zip lock baggie where the stuff will spill all over that.

Not sure why this company can’t improve packaging. Love what is ‘in’ the products but the packaging for men’s products is atrocious. I will search for a viable alternative. Packaging should be simple.

After trying de CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30, I started looking for a similar product formulated for oily skins. That’s how I came across the Cetaphil Derma Control Pro. It’s an oil absorbing moisturizer with broad spectrum SPF 30.

It’s lightweight, fragrance free and it promises to hydrate, absorb excess oil and reduce shine. On a trip to Walmart, I got it for $14 and couldn’t wait to try it. As it promises to be, the product is really lightweight and easy to apply.

It didn’t sting or caused me any discomfort on the area around my eyes, and after 30 seconds or so, my skin didn’t feel greasy or sticky at all but still soft to the touch, almost the same way after using a good cleanser.

By that I mean that it also felt like I had nothing on my face. After a couple of minutes, I applied my primer and there was no pilling. My makeup looked nice as always. In my opinion, this is also a great product for those who have oily/combo skin and don’t want to wear makeup on a daily basis, cause it makes your skin look healthy and balanced.
