To some extent, that early learning still tells me that the lack of alcohol burn/tingle is indicative of a product NOT working, which I then have to override with knowledge.

I usually use this cleanser after removing my makeuo, than i follow up with Dickinsons witch hazel toner with a few drops of tea tree oil, I apply a serum, and moisturizer and my skin absolutely loves this product.

I have oily and acne-prone skin and have tried everything from high price dermotolgy products to the whole beauty section at Walmart and everything in between, but none gave me the results I was hoping for.

That being said when I first came across this toner I was skeptical and doubted it would be any different, especially for the low price. But within 2 weeks of using the product, my skin was almost completely clear! And unlike other acne products and toners I have used, it does not over dry my skin or leave extra oil behind.

Finally found the perfect cleanser for my face and skin type. I’ve already noticed a huge difference in overall oil reduction, texture, and clogged pores, so I’m pleased. I have combo oily/dry skin on my face, so some areas over produce oil and some areas are drier than a desert.

But a couple of things I noticed about this cleanser is it works really well to unclog the oily areas and keep them moisturized a bit. After about 4 days, I did notice the salicylic acid starting to work and my face was flaking off, but that’s what it’s supposed to do.

So I added some Jergens Ultra Healing lotion to my routine and WOW it’s effective. The dry parts of my face are moist, the oily parts are moist but not oily. Would recommend.

This is the best facial exfoliating cleanser I have used hands down, especially used with Bioré’s Pore clarifying Witch Hazel! I was chosen to receive this product for my honest review and opinion, and I was immediately in love- with the scent, the overall feel of gentle exfoliation and how it leaves my skin so smooth, bright and soft! Most acne cleansers have a moisturizer in them, to keep them from drying out the skin. This makes me break out. This is the best cleanser I have ever found. Sometimes in winter it can be too drying, in which case I switch to the normal cream cleanser.

But I also use sunscreen against florescent lights and anti-aging products which counteract the dryness. I took a test once and was diagnosed with super oily skin, so it might be too drying for someone with just mildly oily skin.

I received this as a #freeproduct from topbox circle as a part of the hello winter box. its a salicylic acid based face wash for blemish prone skin which i have! I was so close to repurchasing my regular salicylic acid cleanser from inkey list but this definitely is a strong competitor to it.

This face wash leaves the skin feeling refreshed and clean but not dried out. I use it every other day to keep any breakouts at bay. so far i don’t have any new friends on my face since using this.

I have to say this is by far the most effective acne facial cleanser I’ve ever used. It has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide as opposed to the 2 or 3% usually found in most similar face washes or spot treatments.

I think this is the best soap of this type. Works well for shortening and preventing breakouts. Does not foam up a lot but washes off quickly and easily. Has pretty smooth texture without sandy feeling.

Doesn’t have much artificial scent, if any. Pure white color. Doesn’t make face dry or painful after routine use; this does happen with strong concentrations of benzoyl, salicylic acid or alcohol. Stronger benzoyl soaps will hurt your face and eyes.

Good price on this product too. The only caution is to watch towels, clothes and carpets as this has repeatedly bleached mine. It doesn’t bleach it to white or immediately but it will discolor many items over time.

I’ve used acne free products off and on for the past 17 years. I’ve gotten better results this product than I have with proactive solution for the fraction of the price. I wished that they had made this product when I was in junior high, and high school.

This stuff has quite literally saved my skin. My face was breaking out worse than it ever has, and I even developed a rash later after many failed attempts at fixing it. However, the only reason why I cannot give 5 stars is because I believe this product contains a very minute amount of fragrance, and although my skin is sensitive to fragrances as well it has never reacted badly to this product.

I was skeptical about the “non-drying” claim of this cleanser because it seems like everything dries my skin and makes it feel tight afterward. Well, I am PLEASANTLY surprised because despite this having salicylic acid in it, it is NOT drying! I’ve used it several times and each time, I’ve experienced no ashiness or tightness after washing.

• • • Now let’s talk about this product. I have had combination skin since the start and I’m very mindful to what I put on my skin due to having very sensitive skin. Unfortunately upon reading the ingredients such as (sodium laureate sulfate listed as the 2nd ingredient) SLS strips the skin of its natural oils.

This can lead to dry skin, irritation and allergic reactions. This could have a negative impact on those with who already struggle with oily skin. This facial cleanser has a liquid consistency and starts foaming once lathered and applied to the face.

It does smell delicious as it is infused with tea tree oil but do not let that fool you. As I tested out this product I saw no improvement on my skin to prevent acne. It had the complete opposite effect and caused me to have mild blemishes around my t zone.

Unfortunately I do not recommend this product.

I used to use actual tea tree to clear up acne, but the down sides were that I could only do it as a spot treatment and the smell was unbearable. I gave this a try and have been happy with the results.

Usually a few pink marks turn into full blown inflamed acne by morning (seriously. such a bad habit). I used ANR and a moisturizer after cleansing with this, used it again that morning, and that night, and my face was literally 99% healed.

I have really bad mask acne!! I have seen 2 dermatologist who one recommended salicylic acid cleaners and one recommended benzoyl peroxide cleaners. (Both products harsh to my skin) I got more black heads and more dark spots ( hyperpigmentation).

Went into Sephora to get more tea tree oil for my face and this esthetician that worked there recommended I get this cleanser!! I got it, used it that night by the morning I noticed the bigger bumps were a bit smaller by the end of the week the black heads that were preparing for attack under the top layer was GONE! The bumps/blackheads/pimples that were on the surface had all shrunk or they were were purging! I decided I needed the full set so I went back and purchased the line!! I have used this for years and really like this cleanser. I have no other complaints but wish it came in a smaller size which is why I give it a 4. I only use it once a week (otherwise it’s too stripping for me) and my husband uses it multiple times, but even with 2 people using it, it takes far past the “use by” date because you really don’t need that much product each time.

Mind you we only use for our face and not body, and we do use it all without any issues of mold or noticeable decay that would otherwise deter us, but just the same if it came in a smaller tub we wouldn’t have to worry about that or any product waste either.

NOW, on the positive side (as there are many) this is a great cleanser for my husbands skin (very naturally oily and sweaty). This keeps his face very clear and is the only cleanser he uses. It provides the scrub to feel clean that he appreciates but also is very moisturizing.

We have found that the consistency is great too. When traveling you feel really secure about it not spilling, and I have even dropped an open tub of this into the bath and it survived. Overall great product, I just wish it came in a bit smaller tub so I wouldn’t feel bad about using past expiration and/or throwing away product.

i’ve had pretty severe acne for about 5 years now and i’ve gone through many face cleansers. none of the ones i’ve previously tried have actually helped with the skin issues i deal with. i try to be as eco-friendly as possible, and environment wise this is a pretty good option ! the smell isn’t as terrible as some people say, it kind of just smells like wheat bread and vinegar.

the smell isn’t very strong either, i personally rather like it. the formula is rather crumbly before you get it all pasty though, and it can be hard to get it onto the face without losing some product down the sink.

removal can be a bit of a process seeing as the grit likes to stick to the face quite a bit, but it really isn’t a big issue. the scrub is pretty mild so its fine for me, but if you have super sensitive skin or skin with easy to open wounds such as scabbed over acne, i would be careful.

pros: actually helps with acne and oil production, an absolute miracle for that not overwhelmingly expensive, especially for what it does has helped with even skin tone as well, not just texture cons: a bit difficult to form into a paste removal can be a bit tough tldr: wonderful cleanser for normal to oily kind of skin, or just skin with acne in general.

Elf’s rebrand has brought a lot of amazing changes. Besides the quality of the makeup skyrocketing, they’re now known for some the most affordable skincare at the drug store. As an avid supporter (and a member of the Icon tier) I was very excited to try this out.

I waited until the dreaded week before P Day to see how well this face wash would keep my pimples at bay. Right out of the box, it comes in the familiar pump bottle that we’re used to seeing. What I like is that it locks and unlocks with a short turn of the pump.

I didn’t notice any excessive dryness either. It was a nice break from the scented products I normally use. As of now, the zits have been minimal. I’ve even seen some control around the areas prone to pimples or ingrown hairs looking smoother than they normally would (chain, sideburns, hairline, etc).
