Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow is a silky, matte formula glides on smoothly and blends easily. Available in a range of shades for lids, lining eyes, and defining brows. Comes in a sleek, fliptop compact that can be used individually or assembled into 3 Pan, 4 Pan, or 6 Pan Palettes sold separately.
One of the few so-called “cult favorite” products that actually works for me. This is for all the ladies out there who are either, cannot apply eyeshadow for nuts, or ladies constantly in a rush every morning trying to get out of the door to work and just wanna have one swipe on your eyelids to give it some color and sparkle, this is THE ONE.
Classy glitter/shimmer; definitely not the chunky arts class kind of glitter. Very sparkly, lasts for the entire day. Smooth texture doesn’t scratch your skin. Honestly unless you are a professional MUA, chances are this little dish is gonna last me for decades to come.
I don’t wear a lot of makeup but I do like eyeshadow that has a nice glow while adding a little sparkle and dimension. This (Liquid Mercury) does that. It is a mauve/dark Taupe color with a tiny bit of shimmer (not that ridiculous glitter).
If you wear an eye shadow base and apply this with a brush it will go on lighter and with an even coverage. If you apply with a finger or without base it is very dark and smudgy. I guess you can also build own it either way.
Very versatile and while I wouldn’t say this is the finest shadow ever used, its good. For comparison purposes, My MAC All That Glitters is the type of color I love, but the texture of Dior 5 palettes and Chantecaille singles is what I crave.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow A soft shimmer eye shadow that softly illuminates lids. Light shades can double as highlighters under the brow bone. The blendable silky powder formula delivers a soft wash of shimmering translucent colour.
How to use Sweep a lighter shade from lash line to brow bone using the Eye Shadow Brush sold separately or simply use as a highlighter shade under the brow bone. For depth and additional definition smudge a slightly darker shade of in the crease.
To create a subtle shimmer liner choose a dark shade and line eyes with a slightly damp Eyeliner Brush sold separately. After lining the upper lash line look straight ahead to see if there are any gaps that need to be filled in.
If you also line the lower lash line make sure the top and bottom liner meet at the outer corner of the eye.
I’m giving this item 3 stars not because of the item. I love their shimmer shadows – just enough to shimmer without crossing over into the glitter world. I’ve used them for as long as I can remember.
I’m giving it 3 stars because you’ve discontinued all the colors except for 2. Most importantly, in a world of highlighting and contouring, you’ve discontinued the bone color. The go to color for the brow bone and inside corner of the eye.
How’s this possible?? I’ve looked at tons of cosmetics sites (out of sheer curiosity because I thought I may be missing something) and I think Bobbi Brown may be the only company that doesn’t offer a shimmer in a bone (off white) color.
When a founder leaves the company (as Bobbi Brown herself did), you expect someone to come in and turn everything upside down. However, it’s also important to remember the core of the company and continue to offer core products as you create whatever the new vision is for the company.
A core product is a shimmer shadow in bone/off white that is used on a daily basis by the world at large to highlight their brow bones and the inside corner of their eyes. The fact that I now have to go to another company to purchase such a staple item, is incredible to me and also negates all of the custom palates I have that all need a bone highlighter to finish it off.
I truly hope you reconsider the color offering for this product and bring back the bone color. Thank you.
As a make-up junkie and senior citizen, I’ve used many brands of eye shadows. Bobbie Brown is one of the tops, However, I still miss the Shimmer Wash in “Beige”. Many days, (especially since Covid), I want a simple routine.
One brush of this eye shadow makes for a very nice natural soft touch of color. Love the shimmer, but NOT Glitter. Please bring back some of the older shades.
I used to love the shadow FAWN but it has since been discontinued by BB. This a wonderful dupe of that. I was worried as i read that this can have silver or muddy undertones. And the picture online DOES NOT at all represent what this color looks like IRL.
IRL- the color is this gentle wash of lilac with brown undertones. I am of asian descent and i have very strong yellow/olive undertones in my skin. Therefore i am always cautious of brown shadows that look muddy on me.
I want something that will give my eyes depth but also open it up. Which sounds contradictory but this color works perfectly to do that. The color is a gentle subtle natural wash that gives a hint of brown without it looking muddy.
This is def buildable and i wear this alone to work. I purchased this and the BB Luxe shadow Liquid Mercury (both colors look very similar in pan) and am now having a very hard time deciding which one to pick! Liquid Mercury is a bit more powdery and has stronger hints of lilac.
It makes my eyes look more smokey. Stone in shimmery has more hints of brown. I love both to be honest. And i bet no one would be able to tell the difference except me. I’m tempted to keep both.
MAC Small Eye Shadow 1. 5g Highly pigmented powder. Applies evenly blends well. Can be used wet or dry. Available in a wide variety of textures and finishes. Dermatologist tested. Ophthalmologist tested.
Non-acnegenic. Safe for contact lens wearers. Can be used wet or dry. Apply to lid using fingers brush or sponge-tip applicator.
I’ve spent the better part of 40 + years wearing eyeshadow. If this eyeshadow works on my eyelids, it’ll work even better on younger (more forgiving) skin. I’ve been able to pare down my choices to Omega and Blanc Type by simply applying less or more to achieve bright, well complemented eyes.
The fact that there’s no annoying shimmer around these more mature eyes means it’s a natural look that magnifies the blueness/whites of my eyes, doesn’t settle into creases, and wears all day long. I’m a believer in utilizing makeup to accentuate eyes rather than having the makeup become the focal point.
Mac’s eyeshadows do that. Actually made it my mission to purchase a surplus of my favorites in the event they disappear. (Yeah, I keep a stash of all skin care products that I love so I never run out.
) Yes, eyelid prep is a must as is setting spray. Love these eyeshadows.
The product itself is very nice. It blends very well and has good pigment. I just think the price is very steep for one little item. I very rarely purchase eyeshadow from here due to the price. I can get entire palettes for half the price of one of these single eyeshadows from Colorpop or Morphe and they blend just as amazing.
I feel this company needs to bring down the prices of items if they want people to keep on buying their products. I used to be a a solid MAC fan only, but realized other companies are just as good for a fraction of the price.

I love these little Huda obsessions palettes. There is only 9 shades so I don’t get overwhelmed by looking at it or sit there for 2 hours trying to figure out what shades to use or what kind of look I should do.
They are travel friendly as well as drop friendly. I wouldn’t recommend intentionally dropping it but I have on occasion dropped mine only to find they are still in one full piece when picked back up, where as some palettes would have been smashed! The formula is amazing it’s pigmented and buildable, so far the ones I have used have blended quite nicely without turning muddy on me! Over all these are lovely little palette.
If I could I would get all of them! I will say there is 1 or 2 shades in every one I have which is about 6 or 7 that does take a bit more patience with blending, it’s usually one of the shimmer glitter type shades.
I found that using a flat brush and pressing it on gently then buffing with a fluffy eye brush helps a lot with these shades or just press and leave it be like in the middle of the lid works well too.
Even with this I still adore these lovely little palettes! My favorite obsessions palette is the emerald green one but I just got a few more so we see if that changes!.
love this palette, I feel like it isn’t getting as much love as the other two palettes. I originally ordered the Chocolate and Toffee palettes. I didn’t get the Caramel because I have the ND Bronze palette, but ended up purchasing it anyway because of all the beautiful looks everyone was making.
I like this palette because I love the tones, they are the brown tones I had been searching for. I feel like it is the perfect palette for an easy soft everyday look, or can amp it up with a smokey look so easily and in a small travel friendly palette.
I also like the fact that the shimmers in this palette are super smooth and not over sparkly. Maybe that is why some people aren’t as happy with the shimmers. But as with someone with aging eyes I prefer the smoother shimmers.
I don’t have the New Nudes or the Naughty Nudes, but loved this so much I ordered the Naughty Nudes that I had been “pining” away for during the Sephora sale. I feel if you like easy to make simple brown looks with smooth shimmers you would like this look.
If you are looking for something super sparkly this may not be for you. I personally love it!.
After hearing about Huda Beauty for a while now, nothing but positive things of course, I was excited to see these color palettes available for add on in my boxycharm box last month with what I considered a reasonable price or so I thought.
I had difficulty picking just one, since each color scheme offered looked bright and stunning! I was able to settle for Ruby Obsessions given the bright reds, orangey, mauves “ish” colors that I don’t really have a lot that bright in my current makeup collection.
The packaging is beautiful includes a mirror attached to the inside of the lid, that is a plus for me that is usually on the go, sometimes when a palette doesn’t I feel a little disappointed. The over all look of the palette with packaging is gorgeous, each eyeshadow shade is too die for, blends easily, very bright pigment only one swatch the color showed very beautifully and was smooth, the colors as I said aren’t ones I have normally or in my collection if any, the bottom left shadow when you open the palette facing you a shimmer coral red is a little bit patchy, I had to adjust my swatch a bit and it smoothed out but it’s not as shimmery as the other Shimmers in the palette not sure if that was intentional or not but that was the only TINY issue I found with the product itself.
Another thing that is my own fault for not properly looking at details when purchasing was I was VERY disappointed with the size I mean this eye shadow palette is incredibly tiny for the price! I have paid the same price before for full size palettes! This was the littlest square I had no idea 9 shadows could be crammed into such a small square, my nars bronzer and blush duo is bigger than this palette, I have ABH bronzers that are a bit bigger than this square, when swatching the shadows my fingers could barely fit and move over the eyeshadows without going into the other, it’s very small item, so I hope I can get good use out of it since it’s fairly small amount of product.
Very pretty product and good quality but very small tiny amount. For the pictures I started top left hand corner light peach and went straight down each column the last two swatches on the outer arm are the last two right bottom corner colors! Hope that helps.
Smooth and soft with a matte finish, the Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow provides an easy to use powdered formula that blends effortlessly. The pigment rich formula provides deep colour and can be layered for even more intense results, allowing you complete control of your eye shadow.
I originally discovered this eyeshadow in a palette I received as a Christmas gift and used all the way through college and beyond. I hit pan in this shade first and loved it so much that I went out and purchased a single pan to continue to use with the rest of the palette.
This is the only shadow that I have used up and had to repurchase over the years. I use it as a base to almost every eye look I do. I still use this eyeshadow on “no make-up” make-up days. It might sound strange, but this is my “my eyelids but better” eyeshadow.
Slate colour is absolutely amazing! Since I have very light and cool toned skin, it gives me visible and very natural coloured contour. Since I love very natural makeup, I really enjoy this natural shadow-like colour.
This colour is more difficult to find out than you think 🥲🥲🥲 I know single eyeshadow is not the best deal, but once you find the perfectly matching colour, several swipes and you can easily change the shape without obviously wearing a makeup, I think it’s totally worth it! Feel free to use it on your eyebrows as well! Just naturally filling eyebrow gaps will make your eyebrow looking natural yet polished/well-groomed.
Camel has been in the line for a L O N G time and I have probably repurchased this particular color 5 -6 times. I think this is such a great color and I have not found anything exactly like it. I have hazel eyes and am fair complexion.
I tend to use this as a crease color and it gives a great contrast to a range of shades. I have used this with soft browns and cement to bronze- golds. It makes my eyes pop. It adds warmth and I think it looks different on then in the pan.
Feast your eyes on this soft, silky, long-lasting eyeshadow quad from Rimmel. These four complimentary smokey shades glide on and blend seamlessly together for a long-lasting colour that stays where is supposed to – without creasing or fading! The quad colours include a caramel bronze, ivory-beige, champagne and a dark taupe, each with a frosted finished except for the dark taupe, which has a sublet rose-gold shimmer.
A bold collection of shades for look at me eyes. Take eyes to the next level with Rimmels soft, blendable all day wear hues from Rimmel London. Inspired by the trend setting London fashion scene, achieve a trend-setting Brit girl style with these modern compacts.
Glam Eyes is Rimmel`s most sophisticated eyeshadow to date, with the graphic glossy black packing that s pure London chic. Inside, the eyeshadows are embossed with an elegant quilted pattern and the signature Rimmel crown Logo.
Experiment and have fun with your look with the exciting range of intense, London inspired colours in the Glam`Eyes quad range.
Compact little eyeshadow palette, very easy to pop in makeup bag or handbag. Ideal for everyday use as the colours are neutral and blend well together or can just use one or two colours individually.
I quite like using the mid tone colours on my lid, the light shade under my brow and inner corner of lid and the darker brown as a liner. They have a slight shimmer to them, but not sparkley. I also have the dark signature (purple) and did have the smokey grey one too, but my daughter “borrowed” it and I never saw it again :).
Quite apart from the fact that “Beauty Spells” is the only quad that truly suits my particular skin, the quality is such that I have kept buying it over and again for years since it was launched. It is soft and applies easily – though is not so loose as to drop off all over your cheeks like other brands – and blends well.
The applicator included is fine for defining the eyes but I also use a small brush for filling the eyelid and a medium soft brush for blending. The quality of the box is also good. It’s rally handy to have all four shades in one flip-open box that has never fallen apart or cracked in my experience.
I cannot reccomend it because:- I am forced to buy the quad eye shadow 021 State of grace because I want the azure blue in one quarter of it. I do not use the other three quarters of the shadow. I only like azure blue eye shadow which I have used for years.
There is not a mono available of this colour although there used to be until Rimmel stopped producing it. I am 80 years old. Not a fashion freak. I want a Rimmel azure blue mono please. I have even advertised to see if anyone has an old stock of the mono azure blue.
omg this product is so nostalgic. i had this since i was 13 and i used it for so much. the lighter colors id use for setting powder with concealer and works well. and rhe dark colors for eyebrows or smokey eyes.
the only problem is that it doesnt last long and isnt as pigmented which is why its a 3 star.
An eyeshadow palette with different brown shades. This palette consists of 5 beautiful shades with a matte finish. This palette is ideal for creating a subtle day look or a sultry smokey eye. The formula is easy to apply and blends perfectly.
Of course there are many, many warm tones eyeshadow palettes out there to buy and try, they seem to have been saturating the makeup market lately. That being said, this one from Dose of Colors is by far my favorite.
I was using Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes as my everyday go too, but they do not have a black color in their color line up, and was a bit bulky to carry around for traveling. However, the black color in this palette is true black, rich and creamy to work with, and blend, and the size of the palette is great for traveling, with the pans inside still being quite large! I also love the ombré effect these shadows give when applied to the lid, and the way these are set up in the pan from lightest to darkest takes out the guess work of knowing which color goes best with with the other colors in the palette- which is great for eyeshadow beginners.
A plus is that the brush it comes with is actually pretty decent, I have top quality shadow brushes, and I’ll still use this brush with this and other shadows that I have. The only downside to this particular palette is that the formula is a bit powdery and does have quite a bit off fall out, which is very common and normal with high pigment, high color payoff shadows such as this one.
Use a light hand, tap off the excess powder before application, and make sure you use eyeshadow shields to protect your under eye area and you should be fine. Just anticipate that the fallout from these shadows could ruin your foundation and contouring if your skin makeup is applied before your eye makeup.
The Metallic Eye Shadow consists of a highly pigmented formula with a metallic shimmering finish. The powder eye shadow appears on the eyelid almost like liquid metal and reflects any kind of light beautifully.
Flat pearl pigments contribute to the fact that the eyeshadow lasts long and does not settle in the crease of the eyelid. All ingredients have been specially selected to increase the reflective power, shine and radiance of the eyeshadow.
The formula offers a unique shimmer and a creamy, luxurious comfort. The ideal eye shadow for a sexy or elegant eye make-up, just as you wish. Dermatologically tested. Suitable for contact lens wearers.
TIP: Create your own individual make-up palette: combine your favourite colours in an empty 3, 4 or 6 and the classic Bobbi Blush.
It’s okay. I don’t find the payoff worth the price. I have found other formulas with better payoff and easier to use. It’s not worth the high end dollar, but I haven’t used too much of Bobbi browns products that I have enjoyed.
I’ll keep trying stuff from the brand though to find something I like!.
Bobbi is a little expensive. but girl I always feel so luxurious wearing any of their products! Such good quality and great pigment!! I would recommend to anybody wanting to splurge a little on a single eyeshadow to keep forever! A little goes a long way!.
This epic all-in-one palette of shimmer shadows creates endless eye makeup looks. Fitted with up to eighteen eyeshadow pigments, these gorgeously smooth and velvety hues add serious depth, colour and definition to the eyelids.
Offering a rich colour payoff, these carefully selected colours can be worn alone, blended together as trios, or mixed and matched to create a customised look that’s all your own. The Downtown Brown palette comes with variety of warm to cool-toned browns, light beiges, silvers and smoky blacks.
Made in China About L. A. Colours: Straight from the U. SA. , this fashion-forward and proudly cruelty free brand has been keeping prices low and quality high since the year 2000. Creating products in all the hottest colors and styles, there’s bound to be something for everyone.
I purchased this palette at my local Kmart before they closed down. So only paid about $2. Right off the bat I could tell that it was going to have fallout. When I got home and opened my bag the lid had shadow all over it.
The metallic shades are extremely loose. The color doesn’t show up as well as I would have hoped but it shows up. However even using my favorite eye shadow primer, the shadow still become patchy after a while on my eyes.
The mate shades are also really hard to apply. You have to press pretty hard on the palette and then they don’t even show up vey well. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re looking for a cheaper option.
I picked up the Downtown Brown and the Glam palette at Dollar General and I made such a wonderful decision!!! I like how pigmented the colors are. They’re not too bold but just bold enough to make my eyes pop.
There’s nice transition shades as well as beautiful base shades. PLUS, you get 18 shades for $2. That’s crazy! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I find that most of the shades have too much shimmer.
I’m not a fan of shimmer. Guess I better be picking up a Matte palette!.
THIS IS LEGIT!!! I know this is a cheap crappy brand to most people. But broken crayons color the same, and these have some CUTE color. I was searching everywhere for some red eyeshadow couldn’t find it, someone got me this and it was perfect!!! I love it especially cause the silver in this is heavenly if they out that in a package by itself it could be highlighter! Go buy it, it is perfect!!!.
Product Description: Our colour experts have created vibrant shades with intense colour pigments for an extensive shadow collection. These gorgeous ready-to-wear shades will suit any look, skin type or mood.
Highly charged with pigments, all Eyestudio shades have an ultra-soft formula with a texture that is silky to the touch. The enclosed sponge applicator allows for perfect blendability, precise colour application and a light-weight feel on your eyelids.
From the picture, I imagined that there would be four different shades in this little compact. However, there is only one. So the packaging is a bit deceptive. I would have liked to have had the lighter greens as well as the dark shade is really quite intense for daytime wear.
That said, the colour is beautiful, it goes on smoothly. Lovely product.
Overall I’m not the biggest fan of maybelline eyeshadows. The mono eyeshadows are ok, and I’ve only purchased two, a dark brown for my crease and a light shimmery color. The dark brown was the right color, but it wasn’t creamy and buttery like I hoped.
Instead it was patchy when applied. Overall it will work, it just takes more time and effort. But who wants to put in more effort than they already do?.
Honestly when I used this eye-shadow last I was really not impressed. It just seemed that it wasn’t very pigmented and didn’t last long at all without creasing. Now that could have been on my part, like if my skin got oily during the day, however my other eye shadows last much longer than this one did.
It was a deep purple color, very pretty. I used it only like two times then gave up on it.
Dare to wear intense colour with Eyestudio Pure Pigments Eye Shadow. Double-dipped pigments create double colour intensity for your most explosive eyes. The crease-proof formula with superior staying power wears for up to 24 hours.
I am in love with this product. I love the matte+poreless liquid foundation as well, and I got this in the same shade (classic ivory). I should note, it is a tiny bit lighter in color than the liquid (which for me was fine).
I would say it’s light/medium coverage, but buildable. I was looking for a powder foundation bc summer in my hometown is sweltering, and I have oily skin. This product is incredible! I absolutely love it.
I wish like anything that it was around when I was a teen. It’s very easy to use, so very beginner friendly, but also extremely effective. I use it with some concealer and it looks great. The applicator is great, although I do recommend going over it with a big brush just to make sure it’s all smoothed out.
And btw, it’s great for oil control. I know powder foundation may not be for everyone, but for me it’s a breeze to apply and feels light as air. Truly incredible product!.
I have the shades “Front runner and Socialite. ” I adore both shades and i use them a 3-5x a week. I cant tell you how many i have gone through at this point in my life! I like to use these for that no makeup makeup look or when you’re in a hurry to get out of the door.
Perfect one and done product. I Love these so much. They stay all day long, and they don’t crease on me like CT’s memorize did(sadly). I pray that [brand:maybelline] never discontinues them (or my shades) and these will always come highly recommended.
I remember when these first came out. I tried a couple then but had moved on to other things. I decided to try them again as a base for other shadows. The first one I bought was Socialite. Gorgeous creamy bad to bronze.
Bright and beautiful. Loved it so I bought another two. Bronzed Taupe and the white. Both were disappointing. I’m sure the taupe was one I had before but this time I didn’t like it as much. It’s full of glitter.
I’ve made it work though as a base. I just use my finger to apply then I use a fluffy brush and dust another shadow lightly over the top. Same with the white. Only okay. One thing though, I did stir the shadows.
They did seem dry like other people are saying. I put mine in the micro wave for just a few seconds and then stirred it with a toothpick. Came out great.
An improved hydrating formula that keeps lips softer, smoother, more colorful and glossier for eight shining hours. The patented applicator contours lips precisely, giving you a smooth, even, flawless finish every time.
Luminous shades that stays true without changing, fading or dulling. Mirror underneath label. No top coat needed. No feathering. Made in USA.
m a little confounded whether these are restricted release or then again if they’ll become super durable. Yet, on the off chance that you review last year we saw comparable showcases around this season and the shades in that show turned out to be essential for the long-lasting assortment and since they didn’t name this assortment, I have an inclination that will be the situation with these shadings.
We should investigate Silver Sky. Initially I believed that L’Oreal Silver Sky Infallible Eyeshadow was a hoodwink for L’Oreal Primped and Precious Infallible Eyeshadow which dispatches with the L’Oreal Diamond Collection for Holiday 2012.
However, after looking into it further Silver Sky is extensively more shimmering and a more genuine silver where as Primped and Precious is more dark based. The surface of Infallible Eyeshadow is significantly more stuffed in this tone so you’re not kicking up a lot of thick sparkle or eyeshadow when you press a brush into it.
I discover finger application or utilizing a wipe tip implement to pack tone on is to a greater extent a wreck free approach to apply and it’ll limit drop out. A normal brush will in general add to drop out with these shadows.
I don’t actually embrace finger application because of microbes however applying with a wipe utensil and mixing out with your finger limits drop out and sparkle over-burden.
I have just about every single shade in the Loreal Infallible potted shadows. I’ve been using them for YEARS! And now companies are coming along and charging 4× as much, if not more for the exact same product.
Eternal Sunshine is a dupe for Mac or the Tarte Chrome Paints. These are gorgeous and I’ve had some of the same ones for years and they are still going strong. *Sorry for the crappy pic, and I have so many more but do not want to dig through my singles drawer.
But these shades are 333Golden Sage (green/gold), 759Burst into Bloom (sparkily orchid), and 800Bottomless Java (chocolate brown).
Almay Eye Shadow is a 98. 2% natural, sheer luminous color pressed powder eye shadow. It moisturises and protects the delicate eye area with a blend of antioxidant fruit and flower extracts, including Lotus, Orchid and Acai to nouri.
10-hour wear; crease proof Paraben and talc free Eco-friendly package made from 58% recycled material Hypoallergenic.
I trust the brand Almay, the products they make are always well priced and as a plus they are easy on my sensitive skin. Their eyeshadows are very easy to apply and the colors are long wearing and stand up to a hot summer day or a good cry depending on what kind of day you’re having.
I chose the Ivory shade as my latest purchase so I would have a good base color to build upon without my eyes feeling like they are caked up with makeup. I don’t think you can go wrong buying any color in the Almay family of eyeshadows.
I really like this eyeshadow. The price is good and there are alot of colors to choose from. I really like the shade Coco. It goes on silky smooth. There isnt any fallout. Lasts all day. Good value I would really recommend this eyeshadow.
The entire line of these are soft, muted shades that wouldn’t be too unusual to find in nature. In fact the whole line’s marketing is based on trying to look pure and natural. They boast that the product is 98.
2% natural which in effect means squat (it’s not regulated). It also is labeled to be hypoallergenic which is equally as meaningless (also not regulated). Thats aside, I do like the packaging, stiff cardboard covered in paper.
There is a window of plastic over the center so you can see the shades, and it has a magnetic closure. Being flat, light, and perfectly square, these would store tidily. Click for larger pictures.
Light up eyes and add dramatic dimension with 10 pigment-packed shades in four rich finishes. Featuring five of the new Chrome Metal Eye Shadows infused with colour-shifting pearls for mesmerising shine, the shades are designed to be layered to enhance the multi-chrome effect.
Shades Included: Eye Shadow in Pale Cream Eye Shadow in Rock Steady Chrome Metal Eye Shadow in Strange Fire Chrome Metal Eye Shadow in Lost Treasure Chrome Metal Eye Shadow in Love on the Rocks Chrome Metal Eye Shadow in Metal Vision Chrome Metal Eye Shadow in Electric Storm Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in White Flame Metallic Eye Shadow in Sun Daze Metallic Eye Shadow in Steel Orchid.
This is to replace the review that I placed in the middle of the night from my iphone. I did not have shade names or descriptions available. I ordered this palette because it looked like it was in the same color family (mauvey brown) as the Desert Twilight LE collection, which was my favorite, and I have been trying to find dupes of it for years.
Unfortunately, my palette arrived damaged. The Electric Storm square had cracked in half and the upper half scattered dark flakes all over the palette. I tried swatching the colors on my hand, with q tips, over primer, to see the shades.
The shades are very sheer, requiring several layers to build any color, and the chrome metal shadows. (the majority of the palette) are hard to pick up, crumble easily, and have a lot of sparkly fallout.
The packaging is very sturdy, but heavy and not amenable to travel. If I can exchange my damaged palette for a fresh one, I will try to experiment with application techniques and color combinations to create natural eye looks.
However, many of the colors are dupable, and with the lack of pigment and delicate nature of these shadows, I am not sure if I would recommend this palette. I own many BB palettes and individual shadows and have never experienced any of these issues.
I have been a customer since I discovered BB’s brown toned line many years ago. However, since acquisition, colors have changed dramatically, and now quality is suffering. I hope these issues can be addressed so I can continue to count on my favorite makeup line.
What It Is:An artist-curated collection of eye shadow palettes, each featuring five universally flattering shades in stunning finishes to customize any look. How To Use It:Sweep a shade close to your skin tone across lids, layer a deeper shade on the top and then smudge darker shades along creases and lashlines to achieve definition and depth.
Finish with shimmery shades to accent and highlight.
This is for bold burgundy mainly but I do also have burnished bronze and into the sunset. Bold burgundy might be quite new, so not many people are talking about it. It is absolutely incredible. I love the larger portion of skin color as I always run out of it first in my palette.
The metallic and shimmer colors are neutral and smooth, and finally the bold burgundy! It is amazing color that gives life to the palette and enables it to be bold and special! I love it! Just one flaw, the matte bold burgundy does not go very smooth, but still ok to blend.
Burnished bronze is neutral and safe color for most people, very natural and goes on very smooth. I would recommend it to my friends. Into the sunset is a little bit more high-profile, but very beautiful colors like sunshine.
Overall, the whole series is great. They really have the essential colors you need for daily life and events.
My go-to everyday eyeshadow palette. This rosy-toned palette is perfect for everyday looks, and easily transitions into a smoky evening eye. The darkest tone can be used by itself as an eyeliner or over your liner to help keep it in place.
The mirror is great, and makes this versatile palette a good choice for travel. Unlike so many popular eyeshadow palettes out there, this one has a lot of mattes, and there is not fallout problem. It gives you a soft wash of color that is easy to blend and easy to build up.
I can’t be the only one who doesn’t like this makeup. I thought I’m just doing it wrong. It can’t really be that bad. I looked up YouTube videos and tried applying it Bobbi’s way and it still looked like crap on me.
So kept scrolling and got past Bobbi’s videos to the everyday woman’s videos. It seems like they were having the same issues as me. After about the 5th video I was convinced it wasn’t just me. Also think the products I hated the most were the ones I purchased and I have a theory about that.
It may be more pricey than other similar products, so the consumer goes for the cheaper product, leaving Bobbi Brown on the shelf longer. Or could be the other similar products are offering a gift set with purchase and the consumer is thinking, “more makeup AND a lower price for basically the same thing; why not?” To me this produced a stink like urine.
I noticed it in the powder that I purchased and realized what was happening when the eyeshadow palette that was sent to me began producing the same stink after about 30 days of use. I test a lot of makeup and skincare products and have never been so repulsed by an odor like this before.
As for the colors, the main one I used was Sugar Sand and it was way too shimmering for me. The only mattes were rich brown (I used as liner only-way too dark) and buttercream (I used as a crease color because it appeared dark on me, although it’s probably supposed to be a neutral color, it just wasn’t on me).
The other three were shimmer and did NOT look good on my aging skin. I expected more from such an expensive brand.
Minimalist but mighty. This blendable shadow offers professional-grade velvety pigment. Customize it with your tools: A fluffy brush yields a sheer application while a tighter brush will maximize density.
I had high expectations of these shadows based upon the many good reviews. I ordered two colors: So Pretty: sparkly gray/champagne and Dark Brown: matte and dark brown. Neither worked for me. The So Pretty flaked off in moments and I had the sparkle all over my lower eyes and cheeks, it did not stay on my lids for a moment.
The Dark Brown’s fallout was less obvious, but still very unflattering results. I used it in my crease, and found within minutes it generally spread out in an ashy dust. I wiped both off with my fingers to great improvement.
I had a primer on, so I don’t think that was the issue, but perhaps I could have achieved a better result with use of a different primer? In any case, not worth the effort. Grateful for Credo’s fabulous customer service.
Hoping the Jones Road mascara I purchased is not similarly disappointing.
I was a huge fan of the Bobbi Brown lip gloss in Cherry which was discontinued around 2015. I then used MAC lustreglass in Venetian which discontinued around 2016. So, for the last 5 years I have been without a lip gloss!!! I just could not find a formula that worked with my lip color.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to check out Jones Road. The mint flavor in the description sounded just like Cherry!!! I looked through the colors and found Poppy Red. It looked so similar to Cherry that I decided to spend almost $30 on a gamble.
Well, it definitely smells like Cherry!! It has the same translucent color that blends into my lips and does not settle into fine lines. It does not have a deep red color to it, but neither did Cherry (I have no idea why it looks so red on the model).
I ordered 4 shadows in one shipment and all arrived safe and sound albeit very late. The shadows (Chic, BCITW, Smokey Gray, Penny) are beautiful, soft, silky, blendable and high quality. I think even better than Bobbi’s original shadows.
The containers are slightly hard to open, but not a deal breaker. The second shipment I included another shadow (Ash) because I was thrilled with the others. I received today and opened the shadow container which appears fine, but the actual shadow inside is broken in several little pieces.
I think I own most of Jones Road by now and all of their other items are very durable making them easy to ship, but the shadows are so soft and silky that they may need to rethink how items are packed and the packing materials used to pad the box.
This especially true, because it seems shipping is taking forever and boxes may not go through several shipping locations before reaching the final destination. I am hoping they will replace my shadow without having to send back the shadow itself.
I have ordered three more and hope they arrive okay, because they are really great shadows.
Yves Rocher – For a high intensity colorful look, ready for anything An easy-to-use eye shadow pencil, ready for anything life throws at it: the Lifeproof Eyeshadow. An intense and pearly color from the first application.
Its creamy texture makes it easy to apply and adjust. Its long-lasting formula is highly resistant to sport, water or even tears of joy. Lasts 14 hours. The added bonus? Its built-in sharpener. Available in 10 luminous shades with a pearly finish.
How to use: Sweep the stick directly across the eyelid up to the crease of your eye. Repeat application until the desired intensity is achieved.
I got the colour Taupe. Nice everyday color. It feels quite tacky, even after a couple of minutes from application, so I don’t feel comfortable to wear this on its own, just a light dusting of a powder eyeshadow will set it.
Or use a duo-chrome highlighter – it will give a very nice effect and sets the product. I am ok with it being tacky, because I love loose pigments and they need a tacky base in order to work. So this eyeshadow stick is a perfect base for pigments.
From the moment I got it, I use it everyday, with pigments or powder eyeshadows on top. Nice and easy make up. As for staying power. It will not stay 14 hrs as claimed without creasing. On my first application on a clean eyelid it started creasing in about 6 hrs, but I have quite oily eyelids, so I put my Urban Decay eye primer and this stick on top of that and set with the powder product (or pigment).
This way it lasts for about 10-12 hrs on me, with minimal blotting of excess oil during the day. Which is perfectly fine with me. Oh, and a pointed tip broke off with the first application, but as soon as it became rounded kind of like Laura Mercier or Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks – I have no problems with breakage.
Thus, I wont sharpen the tip (this one comes with the sharpener on the other end of the pencil) just not to waste the product. Overall, its a good product, worth of having in your cosmetic bag, for a quick and easy make up.
I bought the nude pink, bronze, kaki, plum, taupe, and brown colors of this Lifeproof Eyeshadow. Recently used the nude pink; strong pigment and smudge resistant. Unfortunately, it’s not blendable. Once you apply it on your eyelids, even after a few seconds, it stay put.
If you try to blend it the product looks clumpy. So best to know your eyeshadow look before applying. Besides that I’m happy with my purchase.
I chose this Lifeproof brand due to wanting more of a creamy textured eyeshadow. My powder eyeshadow seemed to burn my eyes, possibly due to powder falling into them. The lifeproof in my opinion, would be better for eyelids also, as to not cause as many wrinkles due to it being more of a creamier and lighter texture.
I first ordered the taupe but found it wasn’t dark enough for me. I next ordered the brown and love it. It goes on so smooth and stays in place and is the perfect color for me. I am very surprised to how long my taupe eyeshadow has lasted.
I love this Lifeproof eyeshadow and as long as Yves Rocher carries it, I will use nothing else.
Effortlessly blendable and easy to apply, this weightless formula creates a silky smooth texture on the skin that remains supple and flexible all day. Using nextgeneration technology, it can be mixed with water for saturated color effects and precision lines, or dry for a more natural, buildable finish.
After Burberry has reformulated and repackaged their makeup line, it has been unbelievably great!I purchased Pale Barley which I think it’s such a great taupe shimmery neutral/slightly cool tone color eyeshadow for any skin tone that lasts all day.
The shimmers are very finely milled without it being chunky and is super soft and buttery without any (major) fallout. Packaging is HEAVY. I mean, they were not cheap on making the product in cheap plastic.
It looks luxury and is quite bigger than you think it is for a single eyeshadow with a good size mirror and a sponge applicator (but let’s be real, who uses that now and days). I was going to give it 4 stars because it is pricey ($29.
50) but because this is a LUXURY brand, it is understandable to its price point. And if I have to say, this is actually decently/cheap for its price. You get 0. 09 oz of products while Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow has 0.
05 oz of products for $29. 00 which is also a wet dry eyeshadow. I highly recommend them if you have the money, you won’t regret them!TIP: For a sheer/natural look, use it dry. For an intense eyeshadow, use it wet by spraying your brush with MAC Fix+ first and dip it into the eyeshadow.
I am in love with Burberry eye shadows! They make a wonderful range of wearable colors and that are soft, easy to blend, long-lasting and have minimal fall out. Honestly, I have used a lot of high end make up and these are the best I have used.
A little eye lid primer and these babies last all day. Burberry shimmers are really subtle shimmer, more of a sheen – no glitter chunks! Pale Barley is a warm beige-y taupe with a soft shimmer/sheen when used dry, gets more metallic when you apply it wet.
It makes a great all over lid color. Like all Burberry colors, it blends well but is pigmented enough to use as a stand alone color. I also love Midnight Brown (nice medium tone taupe brown with a little shimmer/sheen), Rosewood (light brown-pink-taupe shimmer, similar in depth of color to Pale Barley just more pinkish), and Nude Glow (similar to Barley with more shimmer/metallic sheen to it).
I have my eye on a couple of matte colors as well.
I have extremely sensitive eyes so I have great difficulty finding suitable eye make-up. I’ve worn this in the shade Rosewood for a full week & haven’t experienced any irritation! I’m So happy I have another brand to explore 🙂 It has the silliest texture I’ve come across & the pigmentation is so great that you just need a quick sweep & you’re done! The packaging is beyond gorgeous – It feels very special & I can’t help but fall for the glamorous look.
My only niggle is that I ordered 2 shades – Pale Barley & Rosewood. Pale Barley was a lot less pigmented. On my fair skin I could barely see it. I know it’s the cult favourite shade but it just looked invisible on me.
I tried building up the colour but I guess it just doesn’t work with my skintone or maybe the formula varies slightly for different colours. (I would recommend Stila Kitten as an amazing alternative) I’ll be putting more shades on my wishlist for sure because of how well my eyes tolerated it 🙂 I was hesitant about this purchase, due to the price, but treated myself for Christmas after hearing rave reviews about it.
Honestly I think it is worth the money as a little goes such a long way. I LOVE THIS EYESHADOW!.
FOREVER matt eyeshadow Gosh, it’s an eye shadow, pencil format, with creamy texture and matte finish. Gosh presents this new form of eye makeup, more comfortable in your application. Its non-sticky texture allows fades properly and provides a long lasting result.
To get a professionally finished look you should use three different shades of shadows. Remember to be shades of the same range and combine between them. You must choose a primary surplus, and according to it, to illuminate a clearer and darker to intensify.
Soft & easy to apply. My favourite colour is Lilac – matches everything. I use it as an eyeliner – about quarter inch depth, but within minutes, it weirdly develops a thin dark line just ‘sitting’ on the eyelashes which is very effective for me as my eyelashes have almost disappeared with age.
Best eyeshadow ever. Quick and easy to apply, subtle metallic effect, understated but effective colours. Tried them all but plum is my personal favourite. Looks good, stays on, no smudges. Would definitely recommend Gosh eyeshadow.
Have been buying these eye crayons for many years, great that they still available to purchase on ebay as not stocked in many UK shops. Application of the crayon is easy and I like the twist up function of the crayon for accurate detailing.
