20 Best Eyeliners For Green Eyes (2023 Updated)

I’ve been using this product for two weeks and I really like it. The formula is very creamy so it applies super smoothly and it’s easy to blend. It does not tug or pull (no future eye wrinkles, yay!!), it doesn’t smudge (biggest nice surprise for me!) and it doesn’t clump.

The formula is extremely pigmented and it also has a bit of glitter in it, which was a nice surprise since I didn’t expect that. Additional bonus, it’s so easy to apply it, it’s so affordable and the mechanism is retractable.

The only negative for me is that it doesn’t last. If you want it to last longer than few hours, you need to put primer on your eyes. I’m a fan of this product and will definitely buy it again! #tävling.

This is a great eyeliner to wear on the outside of your lashes. It’s very pigmented and glides on easily. Lasts for several hours, too. I have a few colors in my makeup collection. The shimmery brown is my favorite (Lionfish).

I made the mistake of trying it on my waterline. A few minutes later it had stamped itself all over my contact lenses. I’m not new at wearing eyeliner in my waterline with contact lenses, but this is the first eyeliner that literally transferred itself with ease onto my contacts a few minutes later.

I tried soaking them in solution and scrubbing with a contact lens cleaner, but to no avail. I wear daily contacts so it wasn’t as devastating as if they were longer wear, but contacts are expensive and I was upset that this eyeliner ruined a pair for me.

I tried it again a couple of weeks later with another color of this same eyeliner (the black), and the same thing happened. So don’t be like me, avoid this eyeliner like the plague for your waterline.

If I didn’t get it all over my contacts it would have probably smeared itself all over my eyeballs. I shudder at the thought of an eye infection.

This eyeliner is trash. I felt compelled to come write a review on this garbage after literally going through a weeks worth of daily contacts in a three hour period. The culprit- this hot pile of garbage eyeliner that says waterproof and is recommended for use in water line.

After putting this on this morning I started doing the one eyed wink about 20 minutes into my work day. Ok, fine- sometimes you get a dud contact no big deal. flash forward to seven (!!!!) contacts later and I have my glasses on because I can’t bring myself to waste any more.

The eyeliner, although it has long worn off, is still pooling around in my eyeballs and trying to find its way out of my eyes. Let me also state for the record that I am very skilled with makeup, and I cannot stress enough that I do a thin line in my waterline, nothing more than a very light coating.

With the contacts it found a way to sit directly on top in the center where I couldn’t see it with a mirror to try and trouble shoot- no it went for the complete annihilation of all contacts and my vision.

If this review saves even one of my nearsighted sisters, I have done my job. This stuff is absolute garbage.

This has been my holy grail liner for the past 2 years. As I’ve gotten older I’ve wanted a more subtle look for work and the smudge stick is perfect. The glitter in lion fish gives my eyes a bit of sparkle without being too obvious so I have no issues wearing it to work.

I smudge it out when I want a more subtle look. The fact that it can be smudged makes it super forgiving if you have shaky hands or if you’re in a rush and you’re worried about making mistakes with liquid liner.

Because it’s smudgable and I have oily skin, I find the colour will fade after a long day (10-12 hrs) so if you’re looking for eyeliner that won’t budge, a liquid one may be a better option.

I have a few of these in different colours. My favourites are the emerald matte green one (usually out of stock)which is quite striking and the pearly emerald is unusual, being dark green with a slight shimmer.

They glide on easily like a flexible felt-tip and are gorgeous colours (especially good if you are not confident using liner or want a more subtle effect than black). I have deducted 1 star as they are very expensive compared with other liners and the darker colours do not always stay on as they are not waterproof.

(If you just want a black liner there are cheaper alternatives) I wouldn’t be without these though.

I have never been more impressed by an eyeliner. I am glad I bought it despite some negative reviews. The brush/tip is impressively precise and easy to use. It goes on wet but not runny, dries quickly, and then lasts all day.

It looks as fresh at the end of the day as when I put it on. The colour is gorgeous – I’ve been asked if it’s purple or mauve, depending on the lighting, but to me it definitely looks dark red. Finally, at the end of the day, it comes off super easily with makeup remover.

The color is absolutely beautiful! It is a very watery formula and it takes a lot of layering for it to get to its full potential. Even then it’s streaky. I wore this to a concert and I didn’t get too sweaty but it definitely didn’t live up to my expectations.

I would not purchase these again. Very pretty color but it just isn’t great, ya know?.

For those of you who have smudging, product not lasting, etc. , keep in mind that if you wear eye products containing oils ( moisturizers, etc) ANY eyeliner is going to be unstable. Avoid using oil completely on your eyes and your eyeliner will stay on.

Use your oil product at night before you go to bed and make sure ALL of it is gone in the morning before making up. Also keep in mind that this is basically a wet application although it looks like a solid.

You have to let the product dry for about a minute or it will transfer to your upper lid or smear. That applies to both your upper lash line or your lower lash line. Be patient and let it dry. This is an exceptional eyeliner.

When I want to go without makeup (camping, going to gym, etc) I have learned to “tightline” my upper lashes which gives that area some emphasis without the full application of eyeliner or mascara. Tightlining is the process of lining the lash line from below the upper lashes instead of on top of the lashes.

When I do the full makeup I do both the upper and lower. It really makes your lashes look longer. If you don’t like a heavy looking line on the top, lightly line and then use the little smudging tool to soften the line.

The only complaint I have is the sharpening tool takes off too much product which make it pretty pricy for the amount of usable product. I would also like to see an “espresso” color offered as the black is too black and the brown not dark enough.

I have been on the hunt for a few years now for a natural eyeliner that I like. I have been using Covergirl’s crayon eyeliner since I started wearing makeup. I do not like pencils, I’m not a big fan of liquid eyeliner except for special occasions, and I can’t even begin to understand how people use the powder mineral eyeliner.

FINALLY I stumbled upon Thrive Causemetics and low and behold, they have a crayon eyeliner! I was over the moon! And it did not disappoint, this stuff rocks. It works just as well, if not better, than my good old Covergirl yet it’s not made with all the harmful toxins that are in traditional drugstore makeup.

Now the eye brightener. I’ve never used anything like this so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I do know that I will never be without this stuff again. It goes on so smoothly, it’s easy to apply, and it makes me look like a human again instead of the walking zombie toddler mom that I actually am.

I love love love this entire set, I can’t say enough about it. If you’re thinking about it, buy it. And you can do it with confidence because these products are made with natural ingredients. :).

Another thrive causemetic product I love! This and the mascara are the items I started buying since I love eye makeup. This is so easy to apply and it doesn’t smear throughout the day. I have tried so many brands of eyeliner also.

Others tend to smear. This product does not. I have never purchased other eyeliner from another brand again.

I love this eyeliner it goes on so smooth and it doesn’t tug your eyes at all. I first got introduced to this brand threw one of my makeup monthly I get and I fell in love. I first tried their liquid eyeliner and that is amazing also especially for any flicks or cateye looks you want.

It last forever , it doesn’t smear and it’s waterproof you can’t ask for anything better than that. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a great eyeliner for a great price.

You can’t beat the quailty of the the price. Less then $10. So pigmented, glides on smooth. Gel ink great for wing look as thick or as thick as you want. Waterproof smudge proof! I love indie brands.

This is one of my favorite eyeliner. I posted a picture showing how waterproof it really is, next to a different brand. I actually used makeup wipe and trid to wipe it off. its didn’t budge until I used a liquid makeup remover.

If your looking for a all day waterproof eyeliner. This is the one for you. I highly recommend it. I will be purchasing again. Kokie makes great products.

This is one of the worst liners i have ever bought. The advert picture shows a deep golden liner with a beautuful bold colour. In reality this could not be further from true. The liner is hard to apply, it does not slide at all and worse leaves no colour behind! The gold is weak, not delicate, but weak.

It is impossible to get a straight golden line, it leaves a patchy line barely visible and goodick trying to go over it as it just doesnt happen ! Not worth the money and nothing like the ad. Stay away.

Definitely not repurchase again. Choose this brand because of the hype on their products but the eyeliner that I got, cannot be used. I cannot draw a line on my eyelids. Nothing appear. Then, i try on my back hand, its appear but u need to draw a few times n need to put the pressure to make it appear.

In addition, the lids will broke once u put pressure to draw. So how to used it. ? Its like a faulty products for me. I also read some review have the same issue on this. Not worth buying it since u cannot used it.

Dior consultant assured me that this product would produce a thin clearly defined line with no need smudge the uneven spots( she’d been excited to point out the smudge tool on the end of this liner).

NOT TRUE THIS LINER DOES NOT GO ON SMOOTHLY and feels uncomfortably dry. By evening I needed to reapply as I was showing bare spots. I prefer a softer gray liner as I am older and this gray really is more of a flat black.

Im not near the store so an exchange is impractical ~ disappointed in Dior consultant.

I like the pigmentation of the colour a lot and how easy the felt tip was to apply. It did not feel dry and the colour went on easily. The tip is very soft and the formulation did not irritate my eyes which I really liked.

This gives me the smoothest eyeliner application. I have tried other brands and variations (including different types of brushes) but nothing comes close to how easy this is. The applicator has a very precise end, so I use that if I want a precise line.

If I am in the mood for a more bold style, I tilt the eyeliner a little and it gives me a thicker line. It is also very pigmented and I don’t need to go over one area twice. Definitely adding this to my must have life saver products list.

This is a holy grail product for me. Its a nice, long lasting eyeliner, the biggest caveat is that it does dry out, but that’s an issue with all pot eyeliners, and you just kind of have to learn and accept the reality of rejuvenating the product.

Its not a problem, and I actually would stop using it out of just having the pot for an overly long time even past expiration, rather than ever running out. I consider it a grail because of its other qualities and of its non-irritating quality on my highly sensitive eyes, and I have successfully replaced my old brow products with it.

I have dark brows, so I use it to fill my brows too. It doesnt look super heavy and overbearing on my brows or pull to an odd bluey or reddish tone on my olive-neutral skin the way other brow products did, and its the only potted product I’ve ever put on my brows that DIDNT make the hair start falling out, which both ABH dipbrow pomade and KVD super pomade did.

I’m sort of surprised this product only has 3. 5 stars and the reviews about it coming off after a few hours and being dry. I’m a nurse who runs around like crazy and sweats for 13 hours and it doesn’t come off.

I’ve taken showers with this product on and it stays put. When I dip my brush in, it’s so creamy it sends chills up my spine lol. When I’m doing my makeup I put it in my pocket so my body heat softens the product a bit, perhaps try that? It’s expensive but a little goes a loooong way.

I’ve had my jar since February (now August) and there’s so much product left, I’m nowhere near hitting pan/glass. I use it 3-4 times a week, it’s the only eyeliner I use and I do a pretty dramatic wing.

I used to love this eyeliner and have been using it for many years. It always dried out half way through the pot but I just accepted that. I was very disappointed to have to wait over 6 months for stocks in the UK to be replenished but delighted finally to be able to buy another pot a few weeks ago.

The first time I used it I found it as dry as the one I had had for over a year. I returned it and bought another pot from a different retailer and am having exactly the same problem again. You have clearly either changed the formula or these pots have been sitting around somewhere for a very long time before being shipped to the UK.

This is incredibly disappointing and I now have to find another brand instead which will be difficult as I have sensitive eyes and this has been my ‘go to’ for many years.

I chose the color “Leading Lights” because i have hazel eyes which normally look good in gold or olive eyeshadow, and this seemed like it would be a color somewhere on the spectrum between/ or a mixture of gold and olive.

In the promotional picture it looks mostly gold with a slightly greenish tint. However in person its a very dark olive, like olive green mixed with black and then some gold sparkle. I think it would have looked better on me if it was a true olive color rather than so dark.

But the formula is great: i have hooded eyes and eyeliner can often transfer onto my upper lid because of the hood, but this eyeliner lasts all day without transferring! It sets really fast— which is good for the not transferring part… but i found it pretty hard to smoke out when i tried to do a colored smokey eye with it.

It just seemed to set like a millisecond after i put it on and i couldn’t blend it out. The attempt at a smokey eye is in the picture i have attached. You can also see the dark color of “leading lights”.

The bottom line: i really like the fact that the eyeliner doesn’t transfer and im willing to just use eyeshadow for a smokey eye because the not- transferring is more important to me. But I would swatch the colors in person before purchasing because the color in the promotional pictures was much lighter and more golden than in person.

I have to confess, I typically stick to a subtle winged liner look. I just don’t have the confidence to pull off the dramatic looks in the ad for this, as fun as they look. So that being said, I really like this liner but I do wish it was a bit thinner.

I have this in French Chocolat, which is a beautiful cocoa brown. The liner applied fairly smoothly for a pencil, but not quite smoothly enough to go all the way across the lid without some skipping.

(I should mention that I don’t use primer as they all irritate my lids so perhaps application would be smoother if I had primer on. ) I was able to quickly use the pencil and my finger to smooth it all out, to achieve a fairly thin, steady-looking line.

I was able to wing it a bit, but as the pencil isn’t super skinny, I couldn’t get it quite as precise as I wanted, although I found a slight smudge helped taper the end of the wing. I put this on before work and didn’t take it off until roughly 15 hours later.

There was a bit of fading, but no migration or creasing of the liner. It removed fairly easily, with a creamy cleanser. Overall, this is best if you rock a bold look or at least like a thicker liner, but even those of us who stick to skinnier liners can make this work and the texture and staying power make this worth that little extra bit of effort.

When it comes to cosmetics, there are certain items I’m willing to pay a premium for and there are others I think I get away with a cheap drugstore brand and have relatively the same effect I was striving for.

Eyeliner is one of those items I think I can save money on by using a knock off brand. Only after using Lancome did I realize I was wrong. Lancome’s Up To 24H Drama-Liqui Pencil in 01-CAFÉ NOIR has proven to me I shouldn’t be using a cheap brand.

This eyeliner is highly pimented to give an instant pop of color. It glides on incredibly smoothly with ease which means I’m not not tuggling on delicate eye area to get the line just right. Most impressive to me is that the color lives up to the up to 24 hour claim.

It glides on smooth and it stays there. You can apply it once and it sticks for hours. I tested it on my hand and roughly rubbed the line I drew and it didn’t budge yet it washed off easily with cleanser.

Since it’s Halloween season I decided to also test this out in other ways. I dressed up like Wednesday Addams for trick or trwating and instead of those cheap, gross costume makeup sticks I ooted to use this eyeliner on my eyebrows and to line my hairline and draw a widow’s peak on my forehead.

It turned out to be the best Hallowwen makeup application I’ve ever had and it not only made an impact but lasted all night long with zero smudges!.

It’s taken me years to find the perfect hel pencil liner but I have finally found the best one yet! It glides across the skin without tugging and leaves the perfect line. You can use it in the waterlines to and it stays put.

I bought the grey one because sometimes I think black is too harsh but I will be buying the other colours now I know how fab the liners are. The colours are very pigmented with amazing staying power.

My liner was perfect until I removed it with cleanser. Don’t hesitate if you are thinking of purchasing one of the liners. They truly are awesome.

I have dozens of pencils and this one is the only one I use now. It it light in the hand and the tip is just the right size to waterline or to create a thicker eyeliner look. It glides on and if I use it as a more dramatic eyeliner it lets me blend the edges (do this just after applying) for a low key smokey eye look.

This is a an all-rounder pencil; stays put all day, even when blended out. As with all the Daniel Sandler products it does exactly what they say it will do.

I’ve had waterproof eyeliner in the past which has stayed put all day and needed to be removed with make up remover. This eyeliner left me with panda eyes, worse than a regular eyeliner. I don’t see how it is waterproof, it washes away easily with soap and water.

It’s also very soft. I won’t be buying this brand again.

Love the eyeliner. I’ve got hazel colour eyes and that deep emerald green colour perfectly matches. It’s quite long-lasting. One thing I like the most about the product is its packaging that makes it really easy to apply.

I decided to buy this when on offer. It is very easy to apply, and soft so no dragging the eyelids. if you want to amend you need to do so quickly as it dries quickly and stays put all day. The sharpener at the end is brilliant and easy to use so no excuse for a blunt liner.

I bought pale grape which is a lovely deep purple and a nice change from black. Works well on the waterline as it is really waterproof. Packaging excellent; looks like a sleek pen. Definitely recommend if you love your eyeliner.
