There are a few different eyeliner looks that can be particularly flattering for hooded eyes. One is to create a winged or cat eye look using a liquid liner. This can help to make the eyes appear more open and alert.
Another option is to use a pencil liner to slightly extend the lash line and then smudge it for a more smoky effect. This can also help to make the eyes appear larger.

I used to use an eyeliner similar to this one that was made by a major department store cosmetic company. They stopped making it, and I have tried several other brands since then trying to find a comparable product.
Finally! I admit I hesitated, because this is an inexpensive drugstore product. Don’t get caught up with big names! This is the perfect eyeliner for me. It goes on smooth, and dark. I don’t have to apply it several times to build up color.
Once it’s on, it stays on until I take it off with make up remover. The first weekend I wore it I was outside in humid weather, and sweat didn’t take it off either. The only issue I have is with the brush.
It’s too thick. But I didn’t buy this for the brush. I have my own eyeliner brush that I bought years ago. Get a brush that you’re comfortable with, and take good care of it. I highly recommend this eyeliner!.
I hadn’t purchased Maybelline’s product for approximately 10 years. Back in the 90’s I used Maybelline’s liquid waterproof eyeliner. LOVED it, sadly it was taken off the shelf that’s when I started buying cosmetic’s from a competitor.
Their makeup is so expensive but at the time I felt that meant a better product. Boy was I wrong, I’ve been trying to find a waterproof eyeliner but haven’t found one. I had all but given up, that changed this weekend.
I popped into my local drug store and found Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel eyeliner. OMG!!! it was as if all of my prays had been answered. I’m once again a Maybelline client, I should never have left. Thank you Maybelline.
This was my first time purchasing a gel eyeliner in a pot like this and I really enjoyed using this product. As someone who is not the best at applying eyeliner this product made me feel more comfortable using eyeliner.
It’s very creamy and easy to use and glides onto the skin smoothly. It also provides such a bold and dramatic look which I absolutely love. The product comes with a small brush to use which is great for a few uses but I recommend buying your own eyeliner brush as this will make it so much better.
The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that the product itself tends to dry out over time. I recommend using as much of this product as you can without switching to other eyeliners.

I have been using Double Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner for several years and love a couple of the bright colors. However, when I went to the store to purchase more today I was surprised that not only were my colors discontinued, but the regular Double Wear pencil was completely eliminated.
Each have their place. This DW Infinite waterproof eyeliner dries out over time making it hard to apply; sometimes it flakes off. It also has a tendency to break even when very little is showing. Which is why I often use the regular DW pencil, often layering the two.
Because they dry out I cannot stock up on favorite colors. Please bring back the Double Wear regular pencil eyeliner and brighter colors. Not everyone looks good with brown and black tones.
Ok so I’ve now bought this twice, once from qvc(I thought maybe I got a very old one) and again from macys. These are the worst eyeliners I’ve ever had! 1st they are not very pigmented, exsrecially for the upper lid and you have to go over it several times.
2nd it hurts like he’ll, they pull and drag and skip it hurts and good luck on an even line. Last but not least, these are NOT waterproof, also they are almost $30 for a crap eyeliner. These couldn’t even withstand a Lil watery eye at a dentist appointment.
They were smeared all over my eyes!! I used maybelline tattoo studio and it survived a rainstorm at Disney, barely a Lil smudge, amazing!!! I would also recommend tartes clay eyeliner, these are also absolutely smooth and age very well as well as staying put all day every day even threw 100 degree plus heat in the south.
I was a loyal Estee Lauder customer for over 30 years UNTIL you discontinued Automatic Eye/Lip Pencil Duos. I’ve been on the hunt for a comparable eyeliner ever since but have been disappointed by every other brand.
I was so excited when someone told me about the new DoubleWear Infinite Eyeliners; however, I quickly found out that they don’t compare to the previous Duos. The hard rubber smudger is useless and waterproof is just another word for “flaky”! You must work very fast to remove excess with Q-Tip before it dries and even then, it flakes everywhere.
Estee, if your listening, I BEG YOU TO BRING BACK THE NON-WATERPROOF DUOS! Thankfully I purchased a lifetime supply of the lip liners when I was told those were also being discontinued in 2019. Wish I had had prior knowledge about the duos because I would have stocked up for life.
Our Liquid eyeliner was designed with a flexible tip for a precise application that you control. Use it to create endless liner looks from thin & defined, to dramatic & bold in a few effortless strokes.
Developed with plant-derived ingredients, our inky-black, high-impact formula glides on seamlessly to create a perfect-looking, satiny smooth line that stays put for up to 8 hours. No flaking. No budging.
I wanted to love this product. I’ve been searching for about 12-18 mos. for a clean beauty eyeliner that is true black and doesn’t smear or smudge. Quick note–this product actually lets off dark dark blue when watered down, just as a side note.
Well, this product doesn’t smear or smudge. right away? It’s easy to apply with the brush, but I did notice after owning it for about 4 weeks that it needed to be wiped down fairly often otherwise it accumulated some dried gunk residue that interfered.
OK, no problem, but a little annoying. But while wearing it, I noticed that if I even touched my eye during the day, I’d see some residue on my hand. It wouldn’t necessarily smear my eye, but it would let off.
Then the summer heat began here in Arizona, and well, I won’t be using this product anymore in the heat because it simply doesn’t hold up the way other eyeliners do. I’m sad, though–I did really want to like this product.
No one likes doing eyeliner, however, this makes it super easy! Great for beginners and pros! It has true black colour (no grey), it dries down pretty quickly, and is super easy to use. I usually use pen style liquid liners but was excited to give this a try.
It glides on beautifully, the applicator is firm but flexible making it great for smooth application, and it never snags or catches on the eyelid (making your liner smooth and seamless). No movement, bleeding, or flakiness.
It’s a great product and for only £10, you can’t go wrong!.
I have oily lids and live in TX and sweat is inevitable here. I love the felt tip applicator and so easy to get the winged classic look. I definitely need to prime my eyes with UD primer then I set that with a neutral eyeshadow then apply this liner and some mascara.
I’m good to go. The pigmentation is fantastic and definitely is flake free. My favorite!! I do wish it was water resistant or proof. Hopefully they will have one soon.
Long-wearing, transfer-resistant eye pencil with a unique smudge-tip at one end. Smooth, easy, effortless. Won’t tug delicate eyelids. Colour wears for hours. Line can be softened for a smokey look. Self-sharpening; propels only.

I’ve been on the search for good felt tip liner for years now. I’ve spent TONS of money on brands that were supposed to be the best bc I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for but I was disappointed each time.
From stila, KVD, Tarte, Too Faced, Smashbox, Morphe, even Nars. They all failed me in one way or another. My expectations are dark black matte, waterproof, smudge proof, durability, sturdy felt tip, and for the product to last me at least a month without drying up.
I wear eyeliner 6 days a week so this is important. I bought this on a whim bc I ran out of my stila and was instantly surprised. When I got home from work and saw that the liner hadn’t budged a bit, I was sold.
I’ve been using this for almost a year now and have only bought 2 or 3 bc they last so much longer than any other brand I’ve tried. I’ve read on some of these reviews that some people don’t think this is waterproof or smudge proof and I have to disagree.
Mine doesn’t budge until I use makeup remover at night and I have really watery eyes. If you’re wanting something that meets the same expectations, I promise you won’t regret getting this and you will save a bunch of money in return!.
I. AM. AMAZED! My eyelids get really oily which causes mascaras and liners to slide around and transfer to other places alot typically, but i loved the retractable version for my waterline so i figured i’d give this a try and it did not disappoint! it’s been 25 hours now since i applied it and it still looked like i had just done it despite it going through a LOT! it has held up through all the christmas eve emotions, cleaning the house, cleaning the garage, tussling with some rusty bolts in the camper to completely get the subfloor out which was a very sweaty task, and an even more sweaty 11 hour sleep where i was tossing and turning all night.
DESPITE ALL THIS THO… it is coming off with EASE with micellar water. this will be my go-to liner forever now. florida’s december weather of 80 degrees outside with 95% humidity had nothing on this liner.
I’ve been seeing comments about people saying it not being black enough or waterproof. But let’s be real. If you want your liquid eyeliner to work to its most potential. please wear eye primer. A liquid liner can only do so much on its own.
I have oily lids and with a Milani primer underneath this liquid liner, it works awesome! I have hooded eyelids and have tried all the top brand named eyeliners since high school. I am now 25 years old and I tried this on my very annoying watery eyes for a full shift of 9 hours and at the end of the day beautiful! Idk why everyone is saying it’s not black enough bc to me it is! It’s not shiny at all.
just the right matte not too intense if that’s what you want this won’t be for you. For the price, the wear, and it’s quality. you can’t ask for more. Don’t hesitate, go get it sis.
From natural to bold definition, this waterproof and smudge-resistant eyeliner delivers color that stays true all day. This mechanical eyeliner swivels up and down, so the point always stays sharp. Ophthalmologist tested.
Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
I have a couple of “line-ups” for my make-up. Urban Decay, Too Faced, Physician’s Formula, NARS, they make-up my go-to make-ups when I’m going out, meeting up with friends, taking my kiddos, out. However, I “grew up” on Cover Girl, Maybelline, and Revlon.
These “drug store” make-ups are my go-tos. for when I’m staying home, or running a quick errand. No need to bust out the $30 eyeliner for a day at home with my babies! That’s where this eyeliner comes in! I have used this particular eyeliner for, well, over 20 years! Since I first started wearing eyeliner! Wow, that makes me feel old, haha.
This eyeliner gets the job done, goes on easily, and best of all, is affordable, while maintaining it’s decent quality! A tried and true eyeliner!.
I love using a black eyeliner to accentuate my lower lash line to make my face look more lively without having to put on a ton of make-up. I use the Maybelline Unstoppable eyeliner in Onyx religiously.
It is long lasting (stays on all day) yet wipes off easily at the end of the day when I’m ready for bed. I also like that the tip is thick enough to give sort of a smoldering effect, rather than being very pointy and drawing defined thin lines.
Create flawless flicks with the L’Oréal Paris Flash Winged Eyeliner, a waterproof liquid eyeliner with specially designed tip for creating foolproof cat eyes. Gliding smoothly and easily across the lid, the ultra-flexible, no-fail wing applicator (felt tip brush) allows you to create perfect flicks with sharp and precise results.
With an intense black finish that lasts up to 24 hours, the eyeliner will add sultry definition to your eyes. Resists fading and smudging.
I’ve bought this eyeliner pen a couple times now. I’ve mastered doing my own wing liner so I never really used the stencil but I did try it out for fun, and it didn’t go well haha. The product itself though is nice, glides in well and I like brush tips as they often don’t get dull.
When they do you can push the bristles back into place. The pen itself doesn’t dry up too easily on me and lasts me a good while. I can get pretty oily eyelids on some days and while the product doesn’t last 12 hours, it stays on well enough that it doesn’t look like a mess.
It doesn’t come off very easily if you cry a little bit without rubbing your eyes too which I like since I cry a lot:) also it doesn’t budge very easily either, when it does it sort of crumbles. If you don’t like crumbly eyeliner maybe you won’t like this.
The colour is also jet black too which is great. Overall, I would say it’s worth a try. Pretty decent for a drugstore eyeliner but if you can do your wing without aid the stencil is a bit useless.
I was so excited about the stencil, hoping that I could finally master a beautiful cat-eye. It turns out that it was not much help for me though, I just could not get the lines even on both eyes. When I discarded the stencil, I did so much better.
The liner itself was really thin making it easy to use but on the other hand, it was so unforgiving with any mistakes (good for confident make up artists). The colour of the liner was the blackest of black! I have sensitive eyes and I was happy to notice that it did not irritate the tender skin around my eyes.
It was easily removable with makeup remover, no excessive rubbing was needed. The packaging is cool and stylish!.
This liner is just a dream come true – easy to apply, super waterproof and that wing attachment really takes it a mile further in awesomeness. \nI have always been a fan of liquid liners with thin brushes for the kind of precision they can provide but while using it, I always manage to get too much liquid on my lashes and make a mess.
Felt tip liners are less messy but also less precise and not as smooth. \nThis one has none of those cons. The brush is so beautiful, you can make thin to thick lines however you like with less than half the effort.
The color is a beautiful dark black that isn’t too harsh. The ink is quite thin in consistency but has such a beautiful flow that creates a smooth flawless line and dries up quickly. I had my doubts about the wing attachment but that works as well – it really makes creating a winged look super easy and much less confusing.
This bold wings were totally out of my comfort zone but once tried, I realized how awesome it looks – dramatic but definitely not over the top. \nDefinitely the kind of eyeliner that makes me want to let go off all others (except kohl for smokey eyes) and add to repurchase list.
Emphasize those eyes with this striking black waterproof gel liner pencil. With its deep black color, you’ll be able to wow with dramatic lines or understated wings every single day. The perfect way to make sure that your eyes are the center of attention, whether you’re out on the town or having a lazy day in.
It’s a black eyeliner pencil, there’s not too much to say in that regard. I used it to line my waterline on my lower lashes and it didn’t make my eyes itch or water which was a major plus. It is kind of sharp, which I’m sure will go away after a few uses, but still.
And there’s not a lot of product. The tip of the pencil is what you get, unless there’s some way to twist out more product and I just haven’t found it yet. I’ll use it until I’m out, but when I go to replace it, I’ll probably look for something else to try.
I love this eyeliner, I just have a few I love more. Its long lasting, true to color, and doesn’t smudge badly on me. I wouldn’t improve this product, I’m just biased because I love my other favourites since their release.
I do buy this for on the go, so I don’t lose my high end eyeliner.

I bought this gel liner the first time I had my lashes done and needed an oil-free liner, and I haven’t worn anything else since. For well over 5 years+ of daily wear, I’ve had many other more expensive liners but none have come close to this.
It’s a little pot and though i try to replace mine at least once a year, I have never been close to running out. The brush is perfect so it only takes a couple of mins to use. I suffer from dry eyes which means my eyes waters soon as i step out of the house, but they never smudge.
I’ve had so many compliments over the years about how flawless it looks on and many of my friends and even colleagues have gone to buy it for themselves. Fantastic also if you like individual lashes like me and need a gel-free liner.
I can’t tell you how brilliant this gel eyeliner is! So easy to use and has a wonderful depth to the colour. It’s a soft kohl like blend and applies beautifully. I have used liquid eyeliner for over 30 years and I will never go back to it! Gel all the way.
It’s also easy to remove but has staying power through the day. My only advice would be to use a different eyeliner brush (I use real techniques) as the longer brush helps to control the gel better and.
I apply the gel to the back of my hand as a palette to work from. Definitely a game changer. Brilliant!.
Ever since Clinique discontinued their gel eyeliner a Boots assistant advised I tried this and to be honest it pretty much is the same but cheaper. It is long lasting, good thick colour, the brush that comes with it is slightly angled to help application, a little does go a long way so you’ll find only needing to purchase this every few months.
If your using gel for the first time don’t be disheartened if it doesn’t look good straightaway, it does take a little practice but alot better than pencil eyeliner. The only con would be that it takes a little longer than I’d like to dry.

A few months ago I purchased the black wink-it eyeliner, and its been great, one of the best eyeliners I’ve ever bought. 10/10 would buy again. When I saw my local Sephora had this blue in stock, I thought “hey, the last one was great, surely this blue will also be great!” it unfortunately is not.
The colour is really great – it’s a very pretty shade of dark blue – but you would think they were two different brands of eyeliner with how this one is compared to the black. It runs like CRAZY and smears at the slightest touch, and got all over my face when I tried removing it with makeup remover.
Once again, the black wink it liner is amazing! The Navy is great, but only if you want to do an impromptu Avatar (2009) cosplay. Otherwise, save your $20 and get a different colour.
Offering double the looks thanks to a dual-ended design, Stila’s Stay All Day Dual-Ended Liquid Eye Liner features two shades, two finishes and two tip applicators. One side of the pen features Stila’s original liquid eyeliner in a classic, semi-matte shade.
The marker-like tip offers precise application, perfect for creating thin lines and bold strokes. The opposite end stars micro tip in a pearly light-reflecting shade to add a pop of shimmer to your look.
Waterproof and long-wearing, the formula glides across the eyes, drying down quickly to a smudge-proof, transfer-proof finish. Choose your shade combination and create your colour creations.
I have searched for the perfect liquid liner and have tried many. They always end up being too dry or having no staying power. I just never could find the perfect combo. I was definitely reluctant to get this because it does have a higher price tag but, I will gladly pay the price if it is exactly what I need.
So far, so good! I do like the fact that it has 2 separate ends so you can get you wing exactly how you want and then switch to the other side go start filling in. It stays put like it should and this has always been a major issue for me since I have allergies that make my eyes water at times.
Now the only thing I hope for is that the liner doesn’t run out to quickly. As of now, it’s a win. I will know within a few weeks if I want to purchase again for the price when I figure out how long it will last.
I have always had slightly hooded eyes but now, at 49, they’re obviously worse. To top that off, I have had Dry Eyes for the past few years ago my eyes are pretty much constantly tearing (most all liners bleed and smear at the outside corners of my eyes due to this).
The only one that lasted was It Superhero liner, which I’ve used and been happy with for 4-5 years. The only issue I had with it was that it would transfer to my upper lid throughout the day so I always had that black line there and hated it.
I had basically given in to the fact that I just had to deal with it. Well THANK GOD that I found an article that suggested Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner (I got the dual-ended once) bcz I LOVE it! There is never any transfer and it looks flawless.
It dries matte, it stays put, it’s easy to use and I couldn’t be happier!.
The original all day waterproof stilla eyeliner is amazing!! It has been my go to for many years! I was leaving on a trip and realized I needed a new eyeliner so I rushed to my nearest ulta and they were out of stock.
I was recommended this option and thought cool, same formula and two application options. Wrong! This is nothing like the original! It doesn’t last all day despite wearing primer and setting spray, it fades, crumbles and ends up under my eyes! The worst part is that the tip starts drying before I even complete my wing on each eye so I have to continuously cap it and shake it just to put eyeliner on.
Because of this the end results are always patchy. I would avoid this like the plague! It’s terrible! Stick to the original!.
The cream formula creates smooth lines that are defined and precise Smudge-proof, budge-proof and water-resistant coverage for all day wear to combat against sweat, tears or rain! Achieve thin or bold lines with ease.
I was so surprised with this product. My experience with the Elf brand has been 50/50 so far. I love their double brush but did not enjoy the putty primer despite popular preference. I loved their camo concealer but did not like the camo foundation (tried 4 different shades and it was just a no go for me).
So I was super excited with how pigmented and smooth this gel liner was! Pros, very easy to glide across the eye and easy to remove as well, true to its color. Cons, I noticed that the color sort of fades throughout the day so reapplication is necessary as it is not long-wear.
I have not tried mixing with eye-primer or setting spray tho. That might give it a little bit of a longer stay throughout the day.
Besides there so many other products that perform amazingly and are priced ridiculously cheap. This is one that i just love so much because it can be used as more than just an eyeliner. The pigment and color selection is great and the fact that their formula in most products like this is no budge or transfer proof.
Means alot to me coming from someone who sweats ridiculously. Some brands so water and/ or sweat proof and absolutely aren’t but these are and they can be used as a single shadow aswell and depending on the color can also be used as a blush or lip cream.
They have great prices and they’re products hold the gold medal in my honest opinion.
Maybe it’s user error, but I didn’t like how this applied on my eyes. The product itself has decent color, but the brush gets so goopy and hard with the product that it doesn’t ever apply right.
It smears way too easily so it isn’t something I would wear for a full day. I have had luck using it as brow filler if I use setting spray and power after, but I also don’t rub my brows like I rub my eyes.
I would recommend going the liquid eyeliner route, as much as I wanted to love this.

🌹 maybelline-lasting-drama®-light-eyeliner-pencil It’s so lovely the way this eye pencil applied. Tbh this is my first impression review of this product because I’ve never seen or heard of this pencil!.
This was my first time (I must have been under a rock right!??). I was absolutely stunned. This pencil glides effortlessly and it’s super creamy and it does brighten the eyes. As far as, the long-lasting wear isn’t necessarily the effect that I got, but overall I was satisfied with this product and I was even more impressed to have found it at the Dollar Tree for just $1, so for that reason I’m not complaining.
I’m actually glad that I found this product at a fraction of the cost that I would have found it at Walmart 🤦 so for that reason I recommend that you don’t knock the Dollar Tree until you try it, because you might think that it’s mediocre because it’s just $1 let’s be real.
but you can find little hidden gems like this for $1 only I say is worth the try 🙋🤷!!!. 🌹😜 maybelline-lasting-drama®-light-eyeliner-pencil.
I used the white, gold, and purple. Loved how they went on. I’m not great at putting liner on to make it look like it isn’t a line on my lid, and these were so easy to just paint on. Not too harsh, but just enough to give some light to my eyes.
So disappointed you discontinued every shade except black. Black was actually the one shade that was just like any other liner. Too dark and too obvious when applied. I would have recommended this to a friend, but not anymore.
I don’t know what I am going to do for eye liner now.
I thought the words on the packaging were just a gimmick. I simply wanted white eyeliner without PPG/PEG100 due to my allergy. This eyeliner is different than ANYTHING I’ve ever tried!! It truly does have an eye brightening effect, ESPECIALLY in different lighting! I’m not sure if there’s duochrome or holographic involved, but this is THE most flattering white liner I’ve ever tried.
Glides on beautifully, not chunky, doesn’t clump up in lashes or migrate to other places either! Both as top lid wear and goes on my waterline(s) effortlessly. This is a new staple in my daily wear! It immediately makes me look well rested and bright eyed! And It has a built in sharpening function that is brilliant for people who don’t know how to girl like me!.
Application Tips: Shake well before each use. Glide tip along outer lash line, pressing lightly for thin line and increasing pressure for thicker line. Replace tip in ink well to remoisten if desired. For a delicately thin line: Using the tip of the applicator, draw a thin line along lash line from inner corner of eye working outwards. For a more bold eye look: Using the tip of the applicator, draw a thin line gradually widening the line by angling the lip from the middle of the lash line to outer corner, flicking up at the end of lash line for a cat eye look.

This is my OG liquid liner. The felt stylus point gives the control of a pen with the product saturation of a brush- especially helpful if you are applying over powder shadows, because the tip doesn’t get clogged or start dragging.
Easy to make clean lines because it stays shsrp and precise. The tip is long and firm, which allows you to “stamp” your wings and then fill in with brush strokes. It’s not waterproof, but wears extremely well on my upper lids and I have oily skin and sensitive eyes.
I only wish it came in a few more colors. Great price for superior performance and a tube lasts quite a long time.
Ive used this specific eyeliner for over a decade. It was my one and only eyeliner and I literally never used another brand. However, L’Oréal MUST HAVE CHANGED THE FORMULA. Its literally the worst now as it smudges badly after it has dried and has a sticky feel as well (again, the stickiness is AFTER it has fully dried).
I have oily eyelids but it has never been a problem, until now. DO NOT BUY as it’ll be a waste of your money. I’m honestly so sad because now I need to find another brand and test them all out now. L’Oréal, please change your formula back to the old one.
So many pros and cons with this liner. The formula is great when it comes to color and finish but it doesn’t wear very well. The felt tip is always hit or miss and if your lucky you’ll get a really nice pointed tip.
The liner is easy to apply and if you make a mistake it is very forgiving but if you are having a watery eyes kind of day forget it! If I wear this liner for a long period of time I will always end up with raccoon eyes.
I wish they made a waterproof version of this line. I feel like at one point they did but I’ve been using this for so long that I could be wrong. Nevertheless I can’t quit you, I’m am fool for you. Lol.

is a good product if you like liquid liners with precise brush tips and also like applying retractable liners to your waterline. I recently saw this on Influenster and since I am already a fan of #Revlon, I knew I had to give this a try.
It’s basically two products for the price of one, and an affordable price at that. I purchased mine a few days ago and I used the liquid end to create a wing on my upper lids and instantly fell in love with it’s fine brush which made application fairly easy and I used the kohl end for my waterline.
The benefits for me outweigh the flaws. The liners both applied well and lasted all day. I didn’t have to apply over and over again and touch-up was minimal. The only flaw I experienced was since the liquid liner brush is shorter than the typical fullsize liquid liner brushes.
I noticed a little bit of errors when applying an elongated wing that reached to my inner corner and I noticed my knuckle getting in the way of my face and eyelid, but this can be remedied by a slight tilting of the hand.
Overall I gave this duo four stars. I would’ve given it five stars had the liquid liner brush been just a little longer. I would definitely recommend this product to friends, family, and other’s here on Influenster looking for a good and rich duo of liquid and kohl liner.
I purchased mine in the shade 151 Black, I believe, which is the shade I like best, but there are other shades available.
I received this Revlon ColorStay Line Creator Double-Ended Eyeliner in the shade 153 She’s On Fire. This eyeliner comes with a longwear liquid liner on one end (a dark reddish pink) and a kohl pencil liner on the other (a shimmery medium pink).
I absolutely loved the kohl pencil liner, it glided on easily and it was very pigmented. I didn’t have any issues with it smudging or fading at all. No complaints there, and I would gladly buy other colors.
As for the liquid liner, it was a little harder to work with… The brush is very thin and flexible, which would be good traits except for the fact that the formula of the liquid liner is somewhat thick and goopy.
It’s hard to draw a precise line and you have to keep dipping the brush back into the liner to get more, which is a hassle. It also dries down very stiff, so I could literally feel the liner on my eyes the entire day.
That being said, it was super pigmented and lasted through the entire day and an unexpected nap where my face was right up against the pillow. When I woke up, my eyeliner still looked flawless. It removed easily with a cleansing balm.
I loved the vibrancy of the liner and the color really grew on me as well, but I was so annoyed with the obstacles during application, all the pigment in the world couldn’t redeem this liquid liner for me.
I give 5/5 stars for the kohl pencil side, 2/5 stars for the liquid, so roughly 3. 5 stars total for Revlon’s ColorStay Line Creator Double-Ended Eyeliner.
I have seen so many amazing reviews about this Revlon Colorstay Line Creator Double Ended Liner and I received it in 151 Blackout from BeautyCrew to review. Unfortunately, I am one of the minority who did not fall in love with this liner.
What I love? I love that the liquid liner is a dark black and is long lasting, as it claimed to be. It does not smudge very much throughout the day and I find it quite resistant to rubbing. The crayon khol side is more of a dark grey-ish black and contains some glitter, giving a subtle shine when the light hits it.
Both eyeliners are slightly waterproof. I also love the double ended concept so that I can easily carry it around with me in my pouch and update my makeup look throughout the day. What I did not like? However, I personally find that the crayon khol smudges badly on my oily and hooded eyelid, giving me panda eyes at the end of the day.
I also find the brush on the longwear liquid side hard to use, especially for those who are makeup beginners. Because the brush is so soft and long, it was really hard to draw a thin precise line (which is usually what I prefer for my daily eyeliner look).
It does work better if you are drawing a thicker liner and you can easily layer it on without caking up. In my opinion, I think this Double Ended Liner would suit those who does not have oily or hooded eyelids and anyone with more makeup experience since I find the soft brush a little hard to maneuver.
Nevertheless, I do love the double ended concept for its convenience and it is a product with good value. I also find trying to set the liner in with a little eyeshadow powder afterwards helped a little in preventing smudging for a longer period.
A creamy, twist-up waterproof eyeliner pencil that glides on smooth without any pulling or tugging for intense color that won’t budge for up to 12 hours. This product is clean, vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and fragrance-free.
There are some tips and tricks that can help you create a flattering look. First, consider using a light eyeshadow on the lid to help brighten the area and make the eyes appear wider. Then, use a dark eyeliner pencil to create a thick line along the lash line, extending it slightly past the outer corner of the eye.
Finally, use a lighter pencil to create a thinner line along the inner lash line.
