20 Best Eyeliner For Wrinkled Eyelids (2023 Updated)

Buy this eyeliner. As someone who has done their wing eyeliner every single day for 10+ years, I have tried many different ones before. Stila is good but doesn’t last long enough and the felt tip gets soft.

This eyeliner is legit and honestly stays beautifully black even as it runs out. You need to buy this if you use eyeliner! Also, doesn’t smudge, stays on even through tears/sweat (I wear it to the gym) and it stays on overnight (with very minimal smudge).

It’s easy to take off too. I never even use makeup remover, I just wash my face with my cleanser in the shower. Usually once is enough! Also, its incredibly easy to use. I honestly don’t have anything bad to sat about it.

I love this eyeliner and will buy it for the rest of my life. I got it in an Ipsy bag and I’m so happy I did!.

This is the best eyeliner. Period. I have tried others and they are pretty good but there is honestly nothing like this one. It lasts all day. The tip is the perfect shape for application and SO black.

I do a wing pretty much everyday and when I wear this one I get compliments. You can tell the difference. It is not only long lasting on your eyes through the day but you also get so much product. The last one I had lasted several months.

So many others I try last a few weeks, a month tops. This one is so worth the money. I’ve tried other favorite tried and true brands (Maybelline, REM, Artistry, Kat VonD) but in my opinion this one takes the cake.

Amazing eyeliner that stays on all day! I have oily lids and often need to reapply my eyeliner on my top lids a couple of times a day. I was a faithful Benefit She-Laq user until they went and broke my heart by discontinuing it 6 years ago.

Ever since I’ve been on the hunt for a glue serum or long wear eyeliner that doesn’t budge. That day has come with I-Line. The only negative thing I have to say is that there aren’t a wide selection of colors.

I’d like a light charcoal color that does not have glitter. That color goes great with dark eyes and anytime I see it ina store it’s the color that’s always sold out in any brand it’s being sold by. Amazing product! Just more color options please!.

I currently have this eyeliner in Jade. The color is beautiful, and the application is simple. 9/10 I get a perfect line. The 1 is user error. Not only is it pretty to look at, it also lasts all day.

I’ve tested this under circumstances such as going to work with it on, going to the gym after and sweat running down my face – no eyeliner running though. It doesn’t smudge or move. The line is perfect even after a long day.

It’s taken me over 10 years to find an eyeliner that does this. This is the winner. Hope it comes out in a red/burgundy/wine color. Would love that for my eyes.

I have been using this eyeliner since high school and I refuse to buy any other brand. I have recommended this to countless friends because people are constantly asking me what brand my eyeliner is, and I will continue to do so.

Its great for a classic wing, but its also amazing when doing detailed graphic liner. I’m more of a classic cat eye person, but I did very intricate butterfly wings for a concert and it looked amazing the entire night, and also a spooky spider web look for Halloween one year (definitely easier with the microtip).

If my glowing recommendation hasn’t convinced you yet, I was wearing this eyeliner when I found out one of my boyfriends cheated on me; my mascara was all over my shirt, my couch, and my best friend, but my winged liner looked as fresh as it did when I applied it 12-18 hours earlier.

Did not realize that my Sephora now only carries the “micro tip”- while I absolutely swear by the original Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner by Stila, this one simply DOES. NOT. WORK. The best way I can describe it- it’s as if as it is going on, the tip somehow simultaneously pulls some of the pigment off, so I never have a perfect solid line as with the original tip.

Wish I wouldn’t have wasted the money, it’s going in the trash. (Also, thought maybe the micro tip couldn’t hold up going on over a light facial lotion- I worried it might have come in contact though I don’t get too close to my eyes with my day lotion anyhow- but no.

I tried it on completely clean and dried skin and it still doesn’t go on even remotely smooth like the other. ).

I purchased a special liquid eyeshadow Xmas pack and a mini of this product was also included. I’ve tried using it a few times now but have decided to throw it out. It is very patchy, almost as if it is running out.

I’ve shaken it, held it upright so the ink falls to the tip for minutes on end, but it makes no difference. You cannot apply even a simple line with this eyeliner. If you go over it, it just wipes the previous stroke off.

Looks terrible. Tip has no pigment so you can only get product on your skin if you angle it in an awkward manner. It’s a big no from me.

I bought the black pencil because 1. I saw several pictures of models who used the pencil for their top lid and created a wing with the pencil. I use a liquid liner daily to make a wing, I wanted to try a pencil since it could also be used on the bottom.

2. The claim to be long lasting. When I applied the eyeliner on my bottom lash line it stayed. I do a light line that goes from the outer edge to the middle. Before applying the pencil to the top lid I put on the long lasting eye makeup stick from Julip.

I took my newly opened pencil and could not get anything close to a line fine enough to make a wing. Also to get the deep dark color on top I needed to pull my lid. That is a big no-no in skin care. Don’t pull at the eyes.

I got an eyeliner sharpener and sharpened the brand new pencil even more sharp and the wing was sloppy at best. I tried using q tips and eye makeup remover to get a point like I wanted with only a little success and now I have used 2 other products and had to touch up my eye makeup and probably wiped off my eye moisturizer.

I decided to just leave it. Maybe use it the for those days when I just want to put a line without a wing. Within 1 hour the top lid line had smudged. I left it and after several hours much of the top lid liner was smudged all over the eye makeup much farther up the eye.

I am 53 but don’t have hooded droopy eye lids. I do live in humid sunny Florida where the sun can make you squint even with sunglasses. Bottom line this is a good pencil for under the eye, but not at all for a lid liner and never for a thin wing.

Exactly what I was looking for! think this will be the perfect liner for summer. Goes on super smooth. Maybe the smoothest pencil I’ve ever used. As a point of comparison my go-to was previously Glossier’s Play pencil but since they shut down I needed to find something new.

And even better Julep is animal-free. so move over glossier lol Not sure if you could achieve a wing look with this but if your looking for a natural looking liner or a smokey date night look that won’t sweat off your face this is it! I apply a subtle tapered line on the top lid and half way on the bottom lid and blend it slightly before it sets and then reline with one crisp line.

This is THE BEST eyeliner I have bought, and I have spent years buying different ones to find “the one”, and this one is, sorry Pat McGrath 🙂 I have been using Blitz Brown from PM because I like the color but not the formula and this one is a prettier color and sets- will not transfer nor smear.

I told a friend as soon as I bought and she ordered 2, the color I got was Bronze shimmer and is gorgeous! The subtle glitter makes my brown eyes have a “Je ne sais quoi”, like a sparkle without been obvious and for perfect for hooded eyes since is not a dark brown that will make your eye disappear, instead because of the color and the glitter – IT OPENS YOUR EYE.

You need this, believe me and thank later :-).

This product was terrible. It’s flaky and smudgy, I’ve bought cheap liquid liners from the grocery store that held up better than this stuff. So I returned it but guess what? Their customer service is even more terrible than the products.

They deducted $12 (half the purchase price) because they don’t refund shipping (I didn’t pay shipping because of a discount code) and they charged me another $6 in shipping to send it back. You want quality and great customer service? Shop somewhere else.

I have to admit that I’ve never used a liquid liner like this, so it was a little bit of a learning curve. Once I got the hang of it, it was smooth sailing! It goes on opaque and you can put your liner on in one swoop if you’re not doing anything fancy.

Most of the time I use eyeliner to tightline my eyes, but when I’m feeling especially sassy, I try my hand at a thicker line and a wing. I’ve always had trouble “”winging”” my eyeliner to make a cat eye, but the sharp tip helps make the wing crisp and sharp.

The formula dries down quickly, so those of us with hooded eyes don’t have to worry about the liner transferring to the eyelid or smearing, but it stays fluid enough to work with a eyeliner brush without rubbing it off.

This product also stays on until YOU decide to take it off. So it won’t smear throughout the day or run. It is not difficult to remove. Micellular water worked best for me to remove all traces. I would highly recommend this to my friends and family members!.

This eyeliner really surprised me. KVD Tattoo Liner is my ride or die eyeliner, and I think this is pretty comparable. It’s very pigmented and doesn’t require a bunch of layering, however the applicator is much more firm and a little less liquidy than KVD.

I LOVE this product but it didn’t last even a month of daily wear for me. Having to sharpen the eyeliner every time in order to use it, I believe really drove the product down quicker. I couldn’t get the eyeliner to apply without having a freshly sharpened tip so it was a must.

The color though was beautiful and I love how easily it went on my skin. I’m allergic to a lot of make up and did NOT react to this one! Yahoo!! I can’t see buying this for every day wear as it would be way too expensive for this mama but for special occasions, maybe I’d come back again.

Why don’t people read directions? So many negative reviews due to that fact. These are forever sharp. when you place the liner back into the cap just twist once or twice till you hear a click and the point is sharpened.

To get more product. PUMP the pencil end. there is product in the tube!!!! It really irritates me when people say they can’t be sharpened or there is no product except what you see when you open the pencil.

NOT TRUE! BTW I did not buy these individually, I bought the box with 6 or 7 of these pencils and am buying more before these are discontinued due to negative reviews because people just can’t follow directions.

These are the BEST eyeliners I have ever had.

This liner is the absolute best liquid liner I’ve ever used. My eyes like to start watering AFTER I put my makeup on, therefore I usually lose my inner corner liner because it smears and runs from my eyes watering.

This liner was out of stock for about a year and I tried many liners that just could not compete as they all ran off my watery eyes. I often had to reapply my liner many times before ever even leaving the house.

THIS liner however does not budge. There is no bleeding and despite my eyes constantly watering immediately after application of makeup, it does not run or smear. It stays all day and does not lose its shape or color.

I bought the liner as a YouTuber I follow recommended it and I was looking for a new liner so I thought yeah why not. I live in Australia so I had to pay a little for shipping and waited like 2-3 weeks to get it which is normal and that’s fine.

I finally got it yesterday and wore it last night out on a date with my boyfriend. When I was applying it I noticed it bleed a little into the little creases of my eyelid (I tried with and with out eyelid prep and without was a little better).

I found the formula to be very shiny once dried and although it lasted very well all night and was a bit hard to remove (a sign that the eyeliner is long wearing) I didn’t like the texture of it once it dried down (it felt kind of bump I guess you would say) and I’m not a big fan of the slight glossy sheen to it once dried.

I’m a little disappointed the YouTube hyped it up a bit even tho she wasn’t sponsored (or didn’t disclose) I don’t hate it but I also don’t love it , it’s just meh I’ve tried better (and cheaper to get in Australia).

If your in America and are looking for an okay eyeliner I’d maybe suggest it but definitely not worth the money to ship to Australia. It’s only the first time I’ve used it so maybe it will improve I’ll give it a weeks worth of ware but I doubt I like it any better then I do now.

Yes, yes, yes!!! This eyeliner is amazing!!! The applicator is perfect. Its firm but still has enough give so that you’re able to really get those nice lines. Don’t even get me started on the color oh my god.

The pigmentation is amazing this stuff is BLACK mama. I’m so used to liners being kinda ashy and not really lasting for more than a few minutes but this one went on black and stayed black and as someone getting into drag, I deeply appreciate that.

Overall this product is fabulous. It also transfers really well, I never found myself fighting with the pen to get any liner out. Usually with other liners the felt tip kinda dries out and it’s hard to get liner into the end of it but this one was fierce.

I have combo skin, as the day goes on oily in the T zone and the rest of my face is normal to dry. I hated this foundation because it was drying and heavy makeup-y looking on the skin until I found a different way to use it (mix it).

First of, I’ve been on a foundation hunt ever since EL double wear light hydra foundation was discontinued (it was my ride or die) and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to find something that made me feel good in my skin and the task had been hard, and finally I looked over at the original EL double wear collecting dust and how everyone loves it I was like what do I have to lose, I gave it another chance in a different way.

Most important thing to do first is to prep and hydrate the skin. I use the Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer and Mario Badescu Facial Spray my fav is the Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea.

Let that sink in a little into the skin. And here the my magic key mixture that gave me beautiful with the EL double wear. MIX the foundation with a drop of the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex Serum (I use a makeup palette and spatula , on pump of foundation and a drop of serum and mix very well! Add less serum to see how you like it because you can always add more , Vs take away ).

With the mix, The foundation becomes hydrated and so smooth to apply and looks just like skin ! Also, I love the EL shade range they blend beautifully with the skin so foundation looks seamless. This was a game changer.

My skin isn’t drying in this anymore and it has a healthy natural finish. The longevity is completely kept intact with the serum just like EL double wear is famous for and it’s just perfect combination.

Please try this if Double Wear has not worked before for you. Shade: 1N1 but I will be ordering 1N2 as this one is just a hint too light. The serum I had as a sample. This is why it’s so small. I will be ordering a bottle of it.

Love this product. It is my go to everyday liner and is buildable for a dramatic eye look too. Lasts a long time (for me usually a year) as you only need to use a small amount. It works great for the lower eyelid too ;).

I got two colors, which I tested I my skin in-store. I got the light purple and the color that is “supposed” to be teal. It was teal from the tester, but when I opened the box at home, the color is horrible – it’s an emerald green – think St.

Patrick’s Day kind of green!! And I didn’t select the wrong item, as the color indicated on the box is teal and there is no other item in this line that is green. So now I’m going to have to go back to the store to return the item.

Also, I don’t like the brush. I guess it’s supposed to be super thin in order to use the product as eyeliner, but with the softness of the brush, I cannot get enough of the product onto the brush without MULTIPLE dips and swirls into the bottle.

It works MUCH better if you can use one of the little pointed Q-tips that Sephora has in the store for trying on samples. I guess I will see if I can score a couple of those from Sephora when I go back to the store.

I will keep the light purple color, but I doubt I will buy this product again or replenish the purple once it’s used up.

The shade of the glitter is stunning- the perfect mix of iridescent and silver with a hint of baby blue and pink. However, keep in mind it is very sheer because literally, no product comes out. I’m not sure if it’s cause of the formula not really being “spreadable” or the application sect of it but I literally have to dip the applicator in it for a minimum of 5 times for anything to show up.

It also only works well on your bottom lash line and will not show up if you attempt to do a wing so the purpose of a glitter EYELINER is kind of defeated as a pure glitter wing would look so cool. It is insane how something like this is 30 dollars when Quo Beauty’s glitter eyeliner applies and stays on like a dream for 12 dollars.

Not to mention highly pigmented. The only upside Urban Decay has in comparison is that it dries down quickly and won’t get into the creases of your eyes.

I first discovered this glitter liner something like 6 or more years ago and have loved it ever since. It’s a really easy way to add some drama to an everyday look with minimal effort and I’ve gotten many compliments on it.

I use this over a black liquid liner and start with a really thin coating on the upper lid, let dry, and add more as necessary. I’m blonde with a relatively fair complexion, neutral undertones, and I have really liked the way midnight cowboy looks- the color is really universally flattering.

I wear contact lenses, have somewhat sensitive skin, and oily eyelids and this product works well for me with no issues!.

I have been buying this Givenchy eyeliner turquoise number 3 for around 18 months now. I tried so many to get the right colour but was unsuccessful as this eyeliner can be worn on the waterline and lasts all day.

I have green eyes I only wear this eyeliner and I get so many compliments and asked what make is it , where did you buy it? The only problem is it is difficult to get hold of as it is either out of stock or not the right colour.

I only hope that it never goes out of stock as it is such a beautiful colour and is so gentle in the eyes you don’t know that you are wearing it. Please keep getting them in stock as I have loads of friends who wear this eyeliner same colour all say the same as me.

Though to try this eyeliner while it’s on sale and it did not disappoint. The colour is amazing and it stayed on for a very long time. no panda eyes for me. Got the chestnut colour to lighten up a little bit and change from the normal black or charcoal colour and I love it.

Will be buying more colour and stacking up some more on sale time. Highly recommend to give it a go specially when it’s on sale.

Most smeary “eyeliner” ever. Can’t really call it eyeliner, because even if I swipe it across my lids in an apparent line, it doesn’t stay that way, in no time! Smeary raccoon eyes! Worst. Don’t even think it could be smoky or will act as a liner, because it WILL NOT.

I have read other reviews that day it is so great, well they must live in a country that has no mirrors. Had high hopes, and glamorous well-performing eyeliner expectations out of this thing, and what a bunch of poop those eye makeup dreams turned out to be.

Quickly. Horrible on upper lash line, horrible on lower lash line, horrible tight lining upper lid AND lower lid. Wanna know what this pencil is good at? Making you appear drunk or stoned out of your mind, amazingly unkempt, and maybe hysterical.

I am sharing my honest and authentic opinion, as a Sephora Beauty Insider Community Ambassador. This is the third eyeliner I own from PMG. I also have Blk Coffee and Blitz Brown. The formula is creamy, easily blendable and long wearing.

I can wear it on my upper and/or bottom lash line with no issues. It has great color payoff and doesn’t tug on the skin when applied. You can also blend it across your lid for an all over color base.

Blitz blue has some shimmer in it. The color is darker than the image online. It is more of a navy blue than electric blue but still looks beautiful on.

Every time I use Pat McGrath’s products, I fall in love a little more with her brand. I was sent the PermaGel Ultra Glide Pencil in ‘Xtreme Black. I am over the moon with it and it’s now in my daily quick fix makeup grab bag.

I have been using it frequently during the pandemic to give me a little definition and sultriness when I’m not wearing full eye shadow. It’s super soft and glides on silky smooth (yes, like inky butter!! lol) but once it sets, it stays put.

I do a little liner on my top and bottom lash lines, then I smudge it real quick and sometimes add a little eye shadow to make it more smoky. It does exactly what I need it to do and more. I can’t see myself loving another black pencil better after this; it’s the little black dress of eyeliners.

My eyeliner application is simple, no wings, no special designs, just a basic line application. I’m so basic, I need a makeup pro to give me some tips. or a makeover!! LOL Anyway, this pencil is perfect for me.

🙂 It glides on like butter with such a smooth application. The line created is dark, bold, metallic, and noticeable. No need to go over it again and again to get the color to show. It doesn’t pull or tug my skin like some pencils.

Like with most eyeliners that I have used over the years, it does fade a little throughout the day, due to sweat, face oils, eyes watering, etc. I don’t have any issues with major smudging or the dreaded raccoon eyes.

I do use a face powder or eye shadow to set the liner and it works beautifully! Removing the eyeliner at the end of the day is a cinch. It isn’t hard to remove like waterproof mascara. I use a makeup removing wipe and it comes off easily.

I’m just thrilled that there is still eyeliner ON my eyelids at the end of the day. Many brands completely disappear throughout the day so there is really nothing left to remove. Overall, I was very pleased with this eyeliner and would absolutely use it again in the future, possibly in several different colors to try some different looks.

I have hooded eyes and have been using this as an eyeliner. It goes on creamy and sets for long-lasting wear throughout the day. I’ve put it to the test even when doing HIIT yoga at the end of my workday, it stayed in place to my surprise! I’ve replaced all of my eyeliner pencils with this one.

I love this liner so much I bought a backup because it keeps selling out! I hope there will be more color offerings, specifically a lighter shade for the inner corner of the eyes. If you’re looking for a liner that stays put, this is it!!.

Rating is for the product not Bloomingdale’s service. I use this as a eye shadow. Application is smooth, and product lasts. Contour Clair is an elusive shade of cool brown. Too bad Bloomingdales shiped it in a plastic bag with no padding because the little box got crushed and the actual product fell out of the applicator — had to jam it back in.

Will order from the manufacturer in the future as its packaging is more secure.

I bought the electric brown and the nude eclat. They are both beautiful colors. I used the brown which has a somewhat gold shimmer on the outside corners of my eyes and layered the nude all around and over the brown.

It turned the brown into a very beautiful color. I’m 65 and these were not overly shimmery, just enough to sparkle. They stay put very well and I am very pleased with this product. Applies nicely too.

If you’re looking for a more defined liner, I wouldn’t recommend this particular item but for a soft smudged look, this is perfect.
