20 Best Eyeliner For Winged Eye (2023 Updated)

I love these colors and the way they work. My favorite is white eyeliner. I apply it on my water line and then brown under. It is pretty hard to discover an eyeliner that works in the waterline. This does.

It lasts all day with one application, making touch-ups a thing of the past. It’s nice and thick, which means this will last forever. I also usually wear a small dab of white shadow in the inner corners of my eyes – that trick further helps make the eyes look wide, bright, and alert.

This doubles for that purpose of cutting down on the amount of junk I have to buy and carry. I also don’t have to worry about this falling apart in my makeup bag, like eye shadows can when you travel or aren’t real gentle with your purse.

Had to Google how to sharpen it, though. It looks like it should twist up, but it doesn’t. It has to be sharpened. Plastic coating over wood so it sharpens well. You do have to get the right size sharpener, though.

These are economical and awesome. These are absolutely a must have in your makeup kit.

I purchased Milk, Cottage cheese, and yogurt. I love the colors, very easy to use. I would recommend for someone on a budget and wants a multi-use, on the go, easy product. However, I find that these are a better primer than actual eyeshadow.

If you want something that is amazing and will work perfectly how you want it I’d look at something a little more prestige. I use this as a base for my powder eye shadows other wise it slips around and gets stuck in my eye crease.

For a primer though I would highly recommend this. The shimmer ones make shimmer powders looks fuller and more shimmery and same with any matte or non-shimmer colors. I’d recommend for someone who has dryer-normal skin.

Oily skin will definitely make this slip without a powder set.

The only redeeming quality this eyeliner had was the thin line you can draw. I didn’t even finish applying the rest of my makeup and this ran all under my eyes. It smudged worse than any other eyeliner I ever used.

Not even a hint of being water resistant. Don’t buy, you will be sorry. A waste of money. If I could give it a MINUS 5 I would, Terrible. Not Vitacost fault though, they are great.

I used to use exclusively black eyeliner, so making the switch to brown was difficult since a lot of brands don’t carry brown liquid liner (that isn’t borderline black). This one is a soft medium/deep brown, and the formula isn’t too wet going on.

It stays all day for me and when I wore it at universal (I rode the Jurassic park log flume ride), it didn’t budge for me. My only complaint is that one lasted me maybe a month to a month and a half tops before it was totally dry.

I’m used to using an eyeliner for about 2 1/2 to 3 before replacing and that’s when it still works but I’m afraid of the bacteria. Sadly I may have to switch if it keeps running out this quickly. Off to try Benefit’s Roller Liner in brown next.

This Charlotte Tilbury product is very slept on. It’s been reformulated and a new shade (brown) was added to the line up. The old Feline Flick was smear within 2 hours on my oily lids. It would get so sticky on my lids! The pen would dry out within weeks and you would have to really shake the pen to get product out.

The new formulation glides on beautifully. It stays all day! The felt pen tip is PERFECT for a winged eye and really any liner design (I also use it to make faux freckles and color in my beauty mark).

I can use a pen for months before it begins to dry out. If you’re in the market for a new liner, this is a MUST try!.

This is one of the best drugstore eyeliners I have tried. In fact, it beats many of the department and other indie brand liners I’ve tried. The only other thing I need to test is its longevity. I have tried a few liners that worked perfectly yet died within a few weeks/months.

Hopefully this will last a while. If so, it probably will be the best liner for me. My only con is the felt tip. However, this is a personal preference. I just prefer a stiff felt tip because it’s easier and faster for me.

However, I do understand the slight flimsiness of the tip allows for a really sharp wing. This liner creates the sharpest wing I have ever seen. It’s also one of the most pigmented liners. It’s a deep rich black and honestly can’t see it being any darker than this.

It glides on the eye like butter. In fact, it’s so slippery that it’s easy to make a mistake. If you lightly press this liner anywhere on your face it will mark it, so you have to be careful when using it and take your time.

Once you are done, you get this insanely sharp wing, highly pigmented and matte-like finish liner. It lasts all day long, doesn’t smudge or smear. See for yourself! I tried this on my youtube channel.

I really wanted to like this product. The first time I bought it, I liked the eyeliner itself but it would become really runny and leak out of the pen. I bought another one as soon as my first one ran out and it already had cracks forming after only two months of using it.

This last time I used it a crack leaked all the product into my eye and spilled everywhere so it wasn’t savable at this point. Only giving two stars because the eyeliner does last and is very pigmented.

As much as I like other nyx products, I’m going to be avoiding this one from now on.

I’m personally not a fan. It’s so wet that it bleeds and spiderwebs out even after I wipe the tip off well. You end up wasting a good amount of the product absorbing off excess product to even attempt to make it go on without ruining the eyeshadow that you just painstakingly applied.

It stays on well once you finally manage to get it to go on properly, but by then you’ve probably had to fix your eyeshadow a couple of times (ain’t nobody got time for that and it never looks as good as it did before) and are frustrated three ways to Hades.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! The brush tip has wonderful precision and makes every stroke shading when using this liner result in a fine line. I have a lot eyeliners that are very similar to this and while they do give me good results when doing my makeup, this product gives me just enough liquid to where I don’t need much reapplying.

If you have sensitive skin like me or really sensitive eyes then you’ll most likely experience itching or a slight burning sensation so i recommend fanning your eyes to relieve your eyes so that you can keep using the product.

The itching or burning doesn’t last long; only a few seconds. Overall, this product is excellent and it really lasts during however long you wear your makeup! Highly recommend!.

Such high quality for an amazing price! When I first began experimenting with eyeliner, my friend recommended it to me since it was the cheapest option. I was surprisingly pleased with how pigmented the color was and the applicator is amazing for beginners.

It’s a thin wand which allows a lot of easy control. If you make a mistake just take a q-tip and one small swipe cleans it up well. Now after experimenting with loads of other high end eyeliners, it’s still one of my favorites.

Consistently pigmented, perfect consistency, lasts all day, and the cheapest price on the market! It comes it other colors and they are all just as amazing.

my first liquid eyeliner was the e. l. f. expert eyeliner – just because it was the only one available at the grocery store when i begged my mom to buy me makeup in 7th grade – so i kinda went off the deep end.

because i got used to that soft precision brush and the e. l. f. formula, i really don’t like the texture of the brush tip on the wet n’ wild liner; it feels much stiffer, and the liner feels a lot creamier and heavy on my face.

but that’s not wet n’ wild’s fault – and this liner does have GORGEOUS color payoff, good staying power, and is far easier to apply than e. l. f. ‘s, making it great for people who are just starting to experiment with liquid eyeliner and want and easy place to begin.

Tried this because I have arthritis and thought it would make life easier – it did, and it didn’t. Firstly, the pens are very chunky and that REALLY helped; the tip of the liner is absolutely perfect for getting a precise, thin line; it contains A LOT more product than other liners; and it’s definitely sweatproof – didn’t budge or smudge all day even during exercise; so massive plus points, there.

However, it’s quite sticky and doesn’t glide on very smoothly AT ALL (possibly the waterproof formulation?); it’s not very black, and there’s an awful lot of plastic involved. If it had just one pen and one stamp shaped for use on both eyes, so using much less plastic, I could forgive the other minus points because the pen, tip and sweatproof aspects are IDEAL.

It’s definitely worth a try, though.

i desperately wanted this product to work for me and was thrilled when it arrived ! however i found the following; 1. doesn’t stay on, black liner drys out and flakes off , i need to keep reapplying 2.

when i try to remove some of the dried out parts with my fingers – they don’t just remove easily , i have to smudge them off to the end of my face, the black ink just keeps smudging to other places on my face, trying to grasp the ink and remove it completely is difficult.

3. gold text/font all chipped of bottle with in a week of owning it – i personally don’t like this because i like my make up looking clean, new and not old if i’ve only just bought it! iris i love your brand and ideas! i want to keep supporting but how can i make these products work for me when they just don’t last on my face, im not oily skin based, im just average dry/oil combination with no issues.

My first eye liner was not working well and I was unsure if it was faulty or just the way they are, but I was sent a replacement one (and the customer service was exceptional) the replacement liner is wonderful.

The colour is not splotchy and it goes on easily and the stamp size and shape is great. I love this colour for day time wear and use the black for night time. Love it. Thank you quick flick for the replacement.

Definitely ask them if your not satisfied with one you e been sent as they are great.

For $32 (compared to the average $20-22 for KVD or Stila) this was such a waste of money. Sephora didn’t have my usual Stila in stock so I got this (which was recommended by a Sephora employee too). I never had a problem with transferring eyeliner until this!!! Literally one hour after wear, I would see smearing on my lower lash line from the inner corner.

I thought it was my pencil liner at first but immediately when I used another liquid eyeliner, I didn’t have the smearing problem. That’s how I figured out that it was this eyeliner!!!!! So bad…so expensive too! For $32, you would also expect the packaging would be better than a plastic surgical instrument bag too.

Do not but this. Better off with Stila or KVD.

I will rave about Pat McGrath’s eyeliner every chance I get. This is hands down THE best liquid eyeliner on the market. It has never once disappointed me or any of my friends to whom I’ve recommended it (and since 2017, that’s been a lot of people).

Her other products are amazing as well. Sure it might be a bit more expensive than other liners, but considering the quality of this product it’s SO worth it. I have monolid eyes and finding the right eyeliner was always so hard for me but this is THE one.

Stays as long as you wear it, waterproof (breakup proof – tried and true), and the pigment is incredible. Plus the pen actually lasted me a loooong time – go for it!.

A revelation. I wear a black wing almost daily, and I had been using Milani’s felt tip pens for about 5 years (both “The Tank” and the Eye Tech Extreme. ) I finally switched to this due to the hype and I want to kick myself for not doing it sooner.

It is amazing. Blackest black and it flows out at the lightest touch so you can actually draw with precision, instead of trying to lay the whole felt tip on its side and “stamp” the eyeliner on. (You know the struggle!) I usually put some NARS “pink beige” powder on my lid before application to prevent transfer, but honestly there have been days I’ve forgotten to do that and this has still been fine.

It even withstood an overnight beach trip!.

It’s an unusual colour but a nice change to black or grey for me. It goes on well and definitely stays put. It gets top marks for longevity. The downside is that there’s not a lot of it. Gels always use up more quickly than pencils – but this seems to be going down at an amazingly fast rate.

Also, be very careful not to leave the top ‘unclicked’. It also drys very easily which means you have to scrape the top to get to the soft gel. That means using wasting what is already a very precious amount.

I have just “discovered” this product. Great eye pencil & it really is water and smudge proof. By end of the day my eye liner is still on, slightly faded but not all around my eyes as with many other brands.

Even had it on during a crying session & it remained intact. Highly recommend. I have now bought it in 2 colours.

I like this because it’s very difficult to get a nice dark grey for a smoky look. without the harshness of super black. For some eye colours and skin tones, dark grey can be more flattering. This has a slight sparkle but nothing over the top.

It lasted well. Haven’t tested it’s waterproof qualities though. Would re-purchase and look at buying other colours in the range.

I cannot rave enough about this eyeliner. It’s such good precision and such good quality. Very pigmented and it stays on through anything. Sometimes at the end of the day my mascara is flakey and my eyeshadow is caked but the eyeliner – still flawless.

I have the dark brown, black, denim blue, green and the shimmer brown. The shimmer brown isn’t very pigmented so be weary with that one.
