This is an absolutely a pair of glass that youd be assured it will never go out of fashion. The same frame have been around since the 60s or earlier as far as I remember. It is a very classical style of Persol.

As a matter of fact if you pay an attention to the arm, you will know right away, it is from Persol. It comes in 55mm and 53mm lenses and in other colors. I chose the back with clear at the bottom because it will look less black on the face and for the style too.

Traditional Persols are identified with their black, and Havana colors. But also the trademark arrow on either side and the thick arm. This frame, eventhough purchased recently, I am confident it will stand falling off the desk etc.

I personally prefer full rim that is made of acetate or plastic for durability. I bought it for a good price and paid the shipping fees since I m from Canada. First I was skeptical, now I will be a returning customer :)The price of the frame (Persol) was cheaper than local brick and mortar stores in my area. It took a little longer than expected to receive the finalized product, given I opted to use UPS for faster delivery and there was some New York involvement in the process given that FramesDirect.

com operates from TX. I especially loved the how it would look on you graphical capability (I believe a patented software specific to FramesDirect. com) when selecting a particular frame on the site.

The call back right after I placed my online order was also very promising for the very first experience. I knew my prescription details but I am sure the caller would help if I had questions. Uploading existing prescription was seamless as well.

As long as you are comfortable buying online, I would definitely recommend FramesDirect. com for your next eye-glass purchase. Price wise, nothing beats local Costco though (if you are ok with their limited frame selection).

I wish FramesDirect. com offers using your old frame service (at least if it was purchased originally from FramesDirect. com). I do not like to replace a perfectly good condition frame with a new one a year or two later just to install a new prescription glasses on it.

I bought these frames 5 years ago from another etailer. They never fit quite right. The left side always seemed to ride low but I really liked the look and it was and still is really hard to find frames that fit me half way comfortably so i kept them.

Of course i fell for ALL of the lens upgrades at the the time. They turned out to be a huge waste. Literally a week after i received the Airdrops i had a very noticeable scratch on my right lens despite having bought the scratch resistant package.

These glasses arrived quick. And I was not disappointed the blue block for computers have really made a big difference for me. The frames are light and grip my head with a C shape that does not put pressure on my ears or nose.

Because the glasses are C shaped, I can easily pull them up to see far. I use these for computer work which consumes my day. The red ends on the frames makes it easy to find as they standout. When I get my next eye exam, I will most likely order these frames for trifocal use.

For the price, these glasses are awesome.

I like the frames very well and I believe my prescription lenses are accurate. The issue I experienced was that the glasses were obviously very crooked/bent upon receipt. When I laid them on a table, you could see how they were not aligned well, as they wobbled if touched.

I had to take them to a local store where I had to have them adjusted.

I’ll start by saying I’m a very detail oriented person, especially when it relates to quality and craftsmanship. I’ve been let down many times by local eyeglass doctors who’s lab provider always seem to mess up or damage the frame/lenses in the process of making my glasses.

I ordered the gun metal Ottoto Denver glasses with no additional lens coatings. My prescription ranges from -3. 25 to -3. 5. I selected the 1. 74 high index lens. I’d say my prescription is about the limit for rimless glasses, as the lenses start to get rather thick as you move to -4 and on.

Overall, the quality of both the frame and lenses is outstanding. The frame is light and can be blended slightly to adjust to your face and head. Lenses are clean, no scratches, blemishes, and the AR coating looks perfect.

I purchased these frames a few weeks ago and have been wearing them for over a week. I absolutely love them! Very comfortable and not too large for my face. I have a one year old and he loves to pull them off my face, but since these have springs in the temples, I don singleqoute t stress about them getting bent or broken.

I absolutely love these glasses. They fit very well and are tight enough that they don singleqoute t fly off when my 6 year old tackles me, but not so tight that they singleqoute re uncomfortable. I got the small size because my head is a bit narrow – finally, a pair of glasses that fits right! LensCrafters was never able to find a frame that fit this well.

I singleqoute ve only had them for a day but have had several compliments and I singleqoute m thrilled. The one small caveat is that because of the clear part of the frame, sometimes light reflects towards your eyes from the frame.

I was sent 2 pair of very crooked sunglasses, then sent 2 pair of also very crooked replacement sunglasses. The “customer service” was ignorant and obviously didn’t even read my communication, and then they told me I would be charged $9 for returning the poorest quality sunglasses I’ve ever seen in my life!?!? At 60 years old, I don’t want to dress like a 21 year old and be the guy everyone is laughing at on the beach. So when I received my new sunglasses I was not sure if they would be right for me. I liked the lenses but wondered if the frames took over my face.

In 2013, I bought a pair of distance lenses and a pair of reading lenses. I love the Marvin style and they look great on me! My eyes have changed a lot in the past 6 years, so I went all out and got the progressive lenses with Transition lenses.

These are quality glasses and not some cheap ones.

I loved the glasses but the left side became loose to where it was hanging lower than the right side. I sent it in for repair and it took 28 days to get my glasses back. I was so happy to get them and when I tried them on they were still loose.

They were so loose they they kept falling off my face. I called and they told me I would have to send them back again to get repaired. Its so ridiculous they couldnt just send me a replacement. These are my main glasses and its annoying to have to go another month without them.

I look this look. I got the color black. At first I was hesitated because I wasn’t sure if this would go with my face. I asked a couple of my friends that I trusted and went with this. I am HAPPY that I went with this one.

Although the frames are a little small on the width it brings out my cheek bones more. Since I don’t have a really good nose bridge, it tends to slide off my face when I am bending over. All in all, I love it!.

I purchased this pair of Litebeams after being a loyal customer of an affiliate eyewear service, I was not disappointed. I was however anxious at first and concerned how the new pair would work on my face along with the transitions lens.

I’ve always relied heavily on them for protection and couldn’t see myself having an additional pair of sun glasses and another prescription!!! Lol, it took some internet savvy in order to refine my order and not have to double pay for some effects these new lenses already had with the transitions ™ lenses already in the order.

These are comfortable glasses. It was a pair of frames I had never tried out before and I am not disappointed. I’d still have to venture to say that the Holbrook’s are my favorite. They just simply fit my large head the best.

The Oakley Computer Readers are very comfortable and do a great job of reducing eye strain while working from home. The only caution is that the lens seem to scratch more easily than other readers I have.

There so comfortable I want to use them often, even when away from desk, but being expensive I’ve tried to keep them on desk so less likely to be scratched. I do wish the lens were more scratch resistant.

Never before purchased Oakley’s. They were always to expensive. These cost me $232. 00 complete. Thats less than these frames would’ve been in a regular store. These fit perfect right out of the box.

These glasses are so cute! This is my 3rd order from ezcontacts and they never disappoint! I chose the oceana color and the blue on the bottom is very subtle but adds a fun yet sophisticated twist to the traditional tortoise frames.

I am a fan of Persol glasses and have owned several pairs of both eyeglasses and sunglasses. This pair of glasses has the usual top quality stylish look, but the fitting is tight to my head, due to being of a pretty narrow width.

Not bad. They have soft rubber on the inside to absorb shocks. I use these to play soccer. The only complaint I have is that the side near the eyes should have been transparent. In soccer, like many other sports, peripheral vision is very important to make quick passes and movements.

Although they are not TOO narrow, the dark and wide sides have narrowed my field of vision. I will however continue to use these as they are definitely better than other brands I’ve tried.

my son (21) has been using these glasses when playing at the local field, i was watching from the sidelines as a practice match was going on. the teams not wearing headgear as no balls were meant to have been thrown.

a batsman hit a ball straight to my sons face but with the glasses my son managed to react to it in time. now saying that it saved my sons life might seem like an exaggeration but my son has a match in less than a week and rumour has it that the match is being scouted.

I bought these specifically for eye protection during jiu-jitsu and/or striking. After LASIK, I was cleared to train after a week but no contact for a month. Thus, the doctor advised me to wear eye protection in case of any form of eye trauma.

I was super surprised how adhesive and not foggy these classes were during training. I avoided any contact or sparring, but during drilling, it may be bothering, but gave me the full protection. I love its fit, and I love how flexible and durable they were.
