20 Best Eyebrow Pencil For Blondes (2023 Updated)

Eyebrow pencils – I feel like I’ve tried them all at this point. Obviously I haven’t, as I was introduced to this godsend about two weeks ago. Normally I use ABH’s ‘Brow Wiz’ or the NYX dupe, but this caught my eye while at Target.

Retailing at $3. 00, you can guarantee my eyes just focused on this product rather intently, knowing I would be a fool not to try this pencil. Having really positive experiences in the past with the E.

L. F. brand, I became eager to see how this compared to my tried and trues. These days I’m always in the market to save money, specifically when it comes to cosmetic products. If I can save a significant amount of money for a product that produces similar, if not better, results – honey count me in.

Now this pencil is magical. The performance of the product was on par with my holy grails. With quick strokes, I was able to fill in my brows rather easily, creating a shape amongst my natural brows – utilizing the spoolie to blend, blend, and blend.

I’m a bit annoyed at myself for not thinking to try this product before – the money I could have saved. Sigh. At least I’ve become very acquainted with this eyebrow product, and we’ll become quick best friends.

E. L. F. I really should stop sleeping on you. Anytime I try a product from your brand, I’m amazed by the quality and baffled at how an inexpensive product can perform on the same tier with higher end brands.

I love this product. I am just beginning to figure out how to do my brows, I have strawberry blonde hair and was a chronic over tweezer in my youth, so my tails are almost non existent and my brows are thin and pale.

Most products are a terrible color match for me. This is light enough, and can do fine enough strokes, that I am really comfortable working with it. The formula is pigmented but you do need to apply a small amount of pressure to lay down product (gentle, it is creamy/pomade-y enough but not richly pigmented) and this is actually perfect for me so I can build it up gradually without overdoing it.

Thin enough end to pencil to do very nice hair like strokes. This is extremely affordable and a great product in terms of color choice options and application ease. I initially used this with a NYX product, but have been now just using this with a brow gel on top, either Glossier Boy Brow or Benefit, and my brows have come a long way! Not perfect but you can see them now HA!.

So Im naturally blonde never realized till brows got bigger over last few years Ive looked like a browless alien for 49 years, ESPECIALLY IN SUMMER WITH A TAN😜 So I decided to give brow products a try -when learning I always gonlow cost I heard a few YouTubers talk about this particular ELF pencil, saying this lower cost white packaged one is better than the black package/pricier one.

Got it loved it (Im also partial to Taupe as opposed to blonde color, maybe because of my neutral leaning cool undertones of my skin?)… found it creamy easy to use, but not too dark scary! The spoolie is a nice size! The pencil lasts a good amount of time! Just to compare -during an Ulta 30 days of beauty, the comparable ABH pencil was 50% off so I bought it, didnt think it was any better? I actually thought it ran out ridiculously fast for the price! (Sonia Koshuk (sp?) that used to have makeup at Target had a great pencil too, shame that brand is gone).

Ive recommended this pencil to like 5 other people who are now HOOKED! GREAT PRODUCT FOR A GREAT PRICE!.

For pencils, I typically use Benefit’s Goof Proof or Anastasia’s Brow Wiz. Having sparse eyebrows thanks to 90s over plucking trend, I need something that blends easily, otherwise my eyebrows end up looking splotchy as there are small bare spots throughout.

I’m trying to save a little money so I decided to give this a try when it was recommended for me. Compared to Goof Proof or Brow Wiz, this applies as easily and actually blends better, creating a softer finish.

It has a retractable angled pencil with a great brush attached at the end. The brush design helps this blend even better. However, as easily as this blends, this smudges as easily too. At the end of my first workday with my new eyebrows, I looked in a mirror after having not looked in a mirror all day and to my disappointment, I had smudged my left eyebrow down my left eye and across my nose.

To be fair to this pen, I have oily skin and a high stress job. If it weren’t the case, this would be a fantastic pen at the price. Maybe some setting powder can solve the smudge problem.

WHEW ! One of my favorite brow products. I prefer to use a pencil and spoolie instead of a pomade and this is one of my favorites pencils. The color is very dark so I outline my brows and scarcely fill them in.

The product part is small and angular(diamond shaped) which I like because when I use this I never have to sharpen it cause it stays pointy. The spoolie isn’t as long as a regular spoolie for brows (it’s shorter and fatter) and I like that bc it gives me more precision.

and allows me to focus on rubbing the product out. I barely use other pencils when doing my brows because this is one of my favorites. The shade deep brown is very dark and goes a long way!.

Really happy with this product! It’s rare that I use an entire product to the very end but accomplished it with this! The formula was creamy but waxy enough to not really move through out the day. Easy to apply and manipulate with the spoolie.

Color match was perfect! Didn’t need to always use so much product so the entire pencil lasted quite a long time. All around this reminds me of the brow definer from Anastasia Beverley Hills. A great option if you love that product but want it on a budget.

This is a great eyebrow pencil that applies smoothly, precisely and is NOT DRYING. The color blonde compliments my light to medium skin tone and highlighted light brown hair; the color seems more brunette than blonde to me.

I sometimes wish Jane Iredale offered a lighter version of her eyebrow pencil so that I could use both the current blonde color and the lighter one. I am never without this pencil. it’s been repurchased numerous times and there are two extras in my draw right now.

My hair is only around a medium brown, but my eyebrows are black. It’s really tricky because black brow products can look harsh. But brown tones look very obvious. Granite is the perfect soft greige/black that doesn’t make me look crazy.

The pencil is neither too pigmented where it looks like waxy crayon nor is it so hard that it hurts bc I’m pressing so hard. The marks I make literally disappear into my natural brows, and it’s amazing bc usually it looks like obvious brown marks combed through my brows with other pencils I’ve used.

Perfect formula, perfect shade. I looked high and low for an actual pencil bc I don’t like mechanical pens, and ABH is one of the very very few brands still making regular pencils. So I really hope they never discontinue this formula or the shade granite.

my all time favorite brow pencil its Pigmented with the perfect glide and slip to it without being waxy or overly creamy. i use this pencil and then the brow gel and set it with the powder and my brow doesn’t budge all day.

this pencil also lasts for years and doesn’t expire to soon. some people hate that this needs to be sharpened but i love that about it that way i can make the tip as thin as i want and not only do you get more product in this type of pencil but it absolutely without a doubt stays good longer and this pencil has more control.

i recommend this pencil to everyone its absolutely fuel proof.

For years, I used Estee Lauder powder eyebrow pencil in “blonde”, but it is no longer available. I was in the store recently and tried on “blonde” and “taupe” from several lines, hoping to find a replacement.

None really worked and several had a reddish tone. I have a fair complexion, mostly neutral, blue eyes and blonde hair. Anastasia didn’t have any taupe eyebrow pencils in stock, but I was encouraged to try it so ordered it online.

This is a great choice for those of us who need a lighter color without red undertones.

Ugh I really thought I liked it at first when I first used it, it was super pigmented and went on super easily. But as i used it more, I became so disappointed with everything about it. I already have thick brows so I really like precision and I’ve used many brow pencils and this one by far is the creamiest it wipes right off, and don’t dare touch your brows especially if you have an itch it will come off.

It’s almost like a liquid but what’s most frustrating is having to sharpen it every single time I use it. I’ve never seen any pencil whether brow, eye Liner or lip go down so fast, and I’m a professional makeup artist so I don’t have a hard hand.

Bummed out because I love Burt’s bees but not my favorite product when it comes to a brow pencil! I loved Winky Lux for better ingredients, haven’t tried Pacifica yet but before that I would use Anastasia and Browgal, Benefit, etc.

I loved those pencils they lasted a long time without sharpening and didn’t wipe off so easily. However, my brows DO look amazing with it so that’s not a problem, just being picky about it as a makeup artist and I like a specific tips of sharpness and consistency 😅.

When I read the other comments or reviews of this brow pencil it confuses me because I read a lot of feedback regarding “breaking of the tip or wooden part” but I haven’t had that issue myself. I for one love this pencil, it’s not a tough colored pencil or crayon where it draws too bold, the brush is also very petite and firm where it helps direct and comb your brows to blend and shape nicely.

The only issue I have with it is the fact that there’s not a lot of colors. I’m between Brunet and warm brown but neither one of them is exactly the tone I prefer. Besides that, the pencil is great.

I love this, and I’m so glad I found it! I tried several brow liners, including pencil and powder, but this is the best! I had a really hard time finding something that would not clog my pores, as most of them were comedogenic.

It also looks the most natural, and is so easy to use! At first I tried the brunette, because even though I have blonde hair I thought my eyebrows were brown, (they just seem dark to me). But it was far too unnatural and dark, so I guess they are more dark blonde and the blonde colour is just perfect to fill them in! i’ll probably only stop using these pencils if I ever get micro blading done, but otherwise it’ll continue to be a make up staple!.

This is THE ONLY eyebrow pencil that I will use. I’ve tried SO MANY Anastasia Brow Wiz, Trestique (which I do like a lot), Chella so many other drugstore brands that I can’t name them. lol But girls! If you want a fine tip like the Brow Wiz high pigmentation at a super affordable price, THIS IS IT!!! I buy a 2 Pack at Walmart for $11.

The L’Oréal Brow Stylist Definer has to be my favorite new eyebrow pencil hands down. I love the ultra thin tip of the pencil and that it’s self sharpening. The spooli is added bonus. I love using to comb out my brow hairs before using my brow stylist Definer.

The shade brunette is the perfect color to emulate the natural color of my brow hairs. The brow stylist Definer is so easy to use and has amazing color payoff. I didn’t have to worry about the color fading off because it last all day and it’s waterproof.

This pencil outlines the shape of my eyebrows beautifully. Because the tip is so ultra fine, it makes shaping and filling them so much easier. I love being able to lightly stroke the brush to emulate the look of real brow hairs.

The spooli also helps me blend in the color for a more natural effect. This is definitely my newest obsession in makeup.

This definer waterproof eyebrow mechanical pencil is just as it says and is very waterproof. And I find it to be smudge-proof also. They offer many different shades for those all of us with many different hair colors.

And skin tones. I recommend this eyebrow pencil because I personally enjoy it very much.

I have tried different colors of this new pencil since it launched. It is way too soft and skiing and the colors are nothing like the blonde pencil which you could sharpen. The new colors just don’t work for a fair skin red head.

I really miss my old style blonde pencil!! Please bring them back!!.

I was expecting the same quality eyebrow pencil that I’ve been using for years. What I received was a product that does not apply smoothly – or at all – and broke during the first use. It appears that the eyebrow pencil I had been using was discontinued.

This was the only light colored eyebrow pencil offered. Disappointed.

Love the buttery texture, true to shade and absolutely beautiful results every single time. Blending with the built-in spoolie brush gives you an amazingly natural and realistic look and brush texture is firm yet soft and makes it super easy to not only add lashes and fill small gaps where you may have gone a little crazy with the tweezers by just drawing short upwards lines with little strokes, but you can fill in lightly as well for the perfect brows with minimal effort.

It may look small but a little goes a long way I’ve been useing almost daily for weeks and I still have plenty. I got mine in an Auburn Brownsville but there are several different colors to choose from so go grab one before they’re gone.

Ok. So I’ve used these since I’ve started using makeup. These are the best eyeliner to use. I swear by it! It’s long lasting, non smearing, easy to use. Very inexpensive. It comes with 2 pencils which last for probably the whole year.

I wear the blackest black and it’s very black! Lol. There is also dark brown (which I use as well) medium brown, light brown and other shades as well. I definitely recommend.

This is the first time that I buy an eyebrow pencil as this is my first time wearing makeup and one great thing about this pen is that it’s perfect for beginners and very easy to use. I didn’t want to spend too much money on some “high-end” pen that I was not sure I would like so this was perfect.

It’s really great quality for the price. The fine point is perfect for drawing sharp lines. I use this to draw a different shape for my eyebrow tail and to fill it in and it’s working really well! The only con about this pen (and the reason why I don’t give it 5 stars) is that it doesn’t seem to be waterproof like it claims to be and it can be smudged easily, so I think setting it with other products would be the best.

I also thought that picking the right color was quite hard, especially since the pictures don’t seem to be the most accurate, so it took me a lot of time to pick the right one. Thankfully, I got the right one straight away.

If you have medium-brown eyebrows and are cool-toned, then the soft charcoal #6 is the perfect match. It’s really important to know your color undertone too before choosing or else you might end up with a brown that’s too orange or too gray for you.

Overall, really great and I will definitely keep buying this!.

I ordered this and just received it. I’m giving it three stars because it arrived quickly and the price is very reasonable. But I’ll be returning it. I chose the color granite. It’s the darkest shade they offer.

Now, my eyebrow hairs are BLACK, so I have a lot of trouble finding a brow product that’s actually black to match my hairs. If it has even a hint of brown in it, I look like a crazy bag lady. Well, I opened this and tried it out as soon as it arrived.

It’s beyond me how this color can be suggested for dark brown/black haired individuals. It literally came out on my skin as a medium brown. I can’t even call it a dark brown or a brown/black. I checked the color on the pencil to make sure they didn’t send me the wrong thing.

Nope – it says Granite on there! This is so misleading and so frustrating for those of us who choose to match their eyebrow color to the actual hairs in their brows. My brows are sparse from over-tweezing in the 70’s and the minute I fill in a bare spot.

if it doesn’t match the hairs, it sticks out like a sore thumb. I get it – the beauty industry thinks no one should use black on their brows. But if your brows are black to start with. ??? Ridiculous.

Anyway, I have no comment on how it wears, if it’s actually waterproof and so on. It might be a very high quality product for all I know, but I won’t be using it. It’s just another brown colored brow product they’re trying to pass off as black.

Love this product. The color matches perfectly and the product is creamy and glides on easily to create very natural looking brows. This would be my new go to brow product however, there are two big issues which is making me look for another brow product.

The pencil finishes sooo much faster than other brow pencils I’ve tried. I think it barely lasted me a month. I found myself constantly repurchasing it, which nullified the cheaper price tag. The second issue is that the product comes of very easily.

If you accidentally touch your brows, sweat, etc. , the will disappear. Other than that it’s a great product so I have one as a back up pencil but don’t use it day to day.

Target used to carry Universal Taupe, but now they don’t. This Dark Blonde color is OK, but a little dark — even for auburn hair. Would love it if Target would keep the Universal Taupe as a color selection.

It looked more natural. Easy instruction on Almay’s website — that work perfectly. Brush does a good job in separating eyebrow lashes for a natural look. Then, apply color, and brush again. Very easy to use — especially if your time is tight.

I love this pencil and will never go back to using ones that need sharpening. The spiral brush works well, and the retractable pencil is so convenient. Because it’s like a soft crayon, I use a gentle touch to apply just enough to achieve the shade and look I want.

That it’s hypoallergenic is a plus, too.

I have tried other Eyebrow Defining products. I like this product the best. It lasts longer than others, has an angular tip for filling wide and narrow sections of the eyebrow. It lasts all day without needing to be reapplied.

Other popular brands that I have used, have a tiny tip, that breaks off in chunks with very minimal application pressure. which make them even less of a value. With the Almay Brow pencil, to date, I have never had the tip break off.

The fill brush is nice though I do find I need to clean it periodically to prevent smearing. I have been using this product for over one year now, and I highly recommend it.

I have used this brow pencil for years. Great pigmentation, smooth application, and lasts all day during my 12+ hour shifts. I love the angle of this pencil versus the super skinny point of other pencils.

This gives me more of the powder brow/feathery brow look depending on the angle I hold the pencil at. I have literally bought over 50 of these pencils because nothing can compare, even the Benefit pencils! I am light blonde and always get the shade espresso for a little bit of a deeper look without being too striking.

I’ve tried tons of eyebrow products and this is my favorite. It matches and can be applied to look natural. It’s the ONLY one I ever use… for many years now, in TAUPE. BUT…. even being as careful as I am, the TIP BREAKS OFF TOO EASY!!! It’s maddening!!! It costs me over 10:00 and EVERY SINGLE TIME THE TIP BREAKS OFF!!! It’s such a waste of product and my money!! Sometimes it breaks twice! It’s maddening!!! ID LIKE to ask NYC to compensate by sending me a new one and/or a FEW GOOD COUPONS TO BUY MORE PLEASE to make up all I’ve lost over the years PLEASE?!!?? ( and yes I’ve tried using only a small amount at the tip.

It seems like a fine product but for me it’s completely unusable because I purchased the Auburn color based on my experience with other NYX products. After it arrived I realized that it’s no where near the other Auburn NYX products I’ve used, and is a bright clay red versus a deep brown auburn as I had expected and hoped.

Now I see that the swatch online shows it to be orangey red, so I only deducted it one star since I guess that’s on me, but from choosing something based on the brand and color name alone it’s a horrible color mismatch.

I typically use and love the Fill and Fluff in Auburn, and had been looking forward to this. Oh well.

This auburn brow pencil is the end all be all of brow pencils for the redhead set. I have Titian hair and this is the only auburn pencil I have found that isn’t too taupe or brown or fake red. This shade blows all the other products out of the water, drugstore and high end, and everything in between.

I actually meant to put blonde not mahgony. sorry about that girls. But overall it’s a pretty good brow pencil. Not bad for the price either. I would use again. Would also recommend trying it. You never know if you don’t try 🤗.

It glides on very nicely. But I notice that it flakes away after a few hours. If you use a gel afterwards then it doesn’t. I have a decent amount of eyebrows and I use pencils just to fill in where needed so I don’t prefer to have to use 2 different brow products.

Have you ever tried a product only to discover that your life is forever changed after using it? This TooFaced Pomade In A Pencil is that product for me!!! My poor brows have undergone so much… Over-plucking in the 90s, messed up waxing in my teenage years, and now that I’ve FINALLY gotten them back to their genetically thick glory, my issue is being able to fill in the few not-so-thick parts as well as shape and sculpt them in a precise way.

I usually use a brow pencil for that purpose, since I can get more precision than with a pomade. That being said, I do love using a pomade for a cleaner more defined look. So the fact that TooFaced combined these 2 products into 1 to make my perfect brow accessory,… I’m beyond thrilled with my results! I got the shade Soft Brown which is a perfect match for me (for reference, I’m also Soft Brown in ABH brow products and a shade 2 in Benefit brow products).

It’s a softer formula than other brands of brow pencils, so start with a light hand when applying! You don’t need to go in heavy… It blends beautifully and wears all day long without fading or smudging! My brows are perfectly filled in and defined with no bare spots, looking as thick and full as they should be! Overall, I am IN LOVE with this brow product and I can’t thank TooFaced enough for making it!.

This “eyebrow pencil” is completely wrong for me. I am older and have lost much of my eyebrows. I used NARS Jodphur eyebrow pencil for years which was the perfect color and I had perfect control in application.

Once applied, the look was absolutely natural. The new “pencil” and recommended color was awful.

I have been using this product for a while now and I really love it. I have quite dark eyebrows and they are reasonably thick, but I needed a product to lightly fill in small patches and also create a bit more shape.

I’ve tried A LOT of different eyebrow pencils, but they always make my eyebrows look too dark or are too thick in texture. I also struggle finding a product for my dark brown eyebrows that isn’t black.

This product has a great colour selection. It also has a very fine tip, making it easier to create hair-like strokes, which gives a very natural look. If you already have thick eyebrows, but just need a bit more definition or need to fill in small patches I would highly recommend this product.

It has lasted me a loooooong time too, so I don’t mind that it is a little more than I’d normally pay for a brow product.

Am really disappointed with this brow pencil. I bought it on the basis of excellent reviews- and the product itself is really good. Perfect shade match (in Komo), staying power and good coverage. However, after about a week I took the lid off and the part holding the brush literally crumbled in my hand and the brush fell out.

The packaging is obviously cheap and does not reflect the price. I might expect this with a cheap drug store product but not Nars!.
