Bare minerals delivers with Prime time eyelid primer. I use this before applying eyeshadow and it works well. Small package, but a little bit goes a long way. and it can be difficult to remove if you use too much.

Doesn’t burn like some other well known brands I’ve used before. Overall, a solid eyelid primer at a good price. I would recommend.

I’ve been using this eyeshadow primer for years–ever since the F. Y. eye! eyeshadow primer was discontinued–and I haven’t found any primer that could top it. Not even the most highly recommended eyeshadow primers.

I have extremely oily eyelids, but I love bold eyes, and this product made it possible for me. It protects my eyeshadow all day and all night, and I’ve even slept in my makeup and gotten up in the morning with it looking almost flawless.

Another bonus is that it accentuates eyeshadow colors and makes them pop. It does go without saying, though, that the one downside is that it’s drying. This becomes more noticeable with aging skin. It’s also a bit of a pain to blend eyeshadows on top of it.

However, it’s totally worth it because I’d rather deal with this than look like I came back from a bender only three hours into the day.

I’ve had oily skin my entire life and have always had issues with eye makeup smudging and creasing. I’d been using a very popular primer from another brand for years and while it definitely helped, I was still creasing by the end of the day.

I had assumed there was nothing for it, and that this was just what I could expect. I received a sample of this primer with another order and figured that I’d give it a try. Holy cow am I glad I did! This stuff makes my eye makeup stay in place the entire day, no creasing or smudging at all! I used it for my wedding makeup and it lasted the entire day, pictures and stress and all, as well as through the post-ceremony nap that I desperately needed.

That’s right -it lasted the whole day, including through me sleeping with my makeup on (something I don’t to very often, I promise) with no smudging at all. This is my new go-to primer. I’m never going back.

I love eye shadow primers. I personally need them because shadows crease easily on me, and using concealer/foundation as a primer doesn’t cut it. This one had potential but in the end, I threw it out.

It’s a thin consistency and blends easily on the eyes. I wouldn’t get this if you’re looking for something that’s more color correcting. That’s not my issue with it though. My first issue is that my eye shadows were patchy upon application.

I know it’s the primer because I’m talking about palettes/shadows I love and constantly use. It definitely takes some extra blending with this primer. The staying power though, I will admit, is fantastic.

My shadows lasted all day without any issues. What broke the deal for me though is that it made my eyes super sensitive. I don’t normally have sensitive skin. I didn’t feel it while it was on, but while cleansing my skin and using my skincare, my eyes burned.

I had such a hard time using anything on my face, even my very gentle products. I also hate to say, I used it a few times to really make sure it was this product. And the burn lasted a few days. I just can’t use this.

If my eyes didn’t burn, I would still say it’s not that worth it. There are so many better eye primers out there that I just wouldn’t jump to recommend this anyways.

I bought this to try under the eyes in addition to eyelids. It worked better than so many under-eye primers I’ve tried. I used a small dot on each under eye, let it dry then added my corrector and concealer.

I also added the tiniest amount of translucent powder, which was probably not needed because of the primer’s consistency when dry. Typically, with other under-eye primers, my concealer will fade within a couple of hours revealing a lot of under-eye darkness, and it will settle into the lines which doesn’t look great so I often will need to pat my under-eye with my finger to smooth it out.

This primer really fills in the finer lines and keeps the concealer from moving. And as a bonus, eyeliner applied to the waterline stays perfect. As for the lids, it does seem to keep my eye shadow from settling and fading but I had a minimal shadow look when I tried it out as I was most curious to see how this would work under the eye.

I have only used this product once so hopefully I will still feel the same way in another week later. Hope this review helps you out.

After many years of using Urban Decay, Two Faced, Lancome and others, I tried the Hourglass Eye Primer based on reviews. This stuff is simply AMAZING and anyone over 60 must try it. The other primers would dry the skin underneath my bottom lashes.

Hourglass is non-drying and does not crease on the upper lid. It is easy to apply and dries quickly. It is clear on the skin so it doesn’t alter the eye shadow color like Lancome does. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this product is.

I will always keep 1-2 unused ones in my stash as I never want to run out.

I was recommended this by my local store team as the usual eye primer I use from Nars was out of stock. It is lightly tinted which helps with minor eyelid discolouration. I apply before doing any other makeup and a good few minutes before applying eyeshadow – either cream or powder.

It has a velvety texture and blends on well providing a smooth canvas for makeup application. Definitely improves staying power of makeup with eyeshadow less creased. However it is difficult to dispense the small amount I need from the tube and I feel like I waste product, therefore 4 rather than 5 stars for me.

I’ve seen so many women use concealer for their eyelids before applying eyeshadow. For me, being 35 with hooded eyes and combination skin, it doesn’t work for me. I have dark skin and eyeshadow pigments are either a hit or miss.

I hate when my eyelids crease and literally every concealer I’ve tried it has failed so bad. The eyeshadow is there but so is the creasing. Not cute at all. So I’ve learned that my skin tone and skin type is what it is.

I NEED eyeshadow primer specifically and I don’t care if the makeup is bright or not at this point. I’m at a point in my life. as a mom of two kids in my mid-30s. where curling up in bed and browsing Facebook is a way to have fun lol! Quality of eyeshadows depends on the brand and also how you receive it when you use it.

What I mean by “how you receive it” means how you think the eyeshadow performs for you and how you feel about it. To each their own, but concealer for me I could use to do cut creases maybe but not as an alternative for eyeshadow primer.

It’s just not meant to be. I’ve had zero creasing with this product and a little goes a long way. As I mentioned, I have pretty hooded eyes and had no creasing with this so it’s a winner. I would suggest this to anyone.

This is some top notch stuff if i must say so myself. It’s like super glue for eyeshadow. I swear I have the most oily eyelids and on top of that I have hooded eyes so my eyeshadow ALWAYS creases and smears/fades after a couple hours in of wearing it.

BUT! With this stuff it manages to keep my eyeshadow where I put it and how I blend it and doesn’t let that pesky extra eyelid skin flap trap my eyeshadow between it when my eyes are open. I’m a sweaty mofo too, like more than the average gal and even with that being so my shadow doesn’t budge when I apply this stuff underneath my shadow.

It actually brings out the pigment in my eyeshadow colors as well and makes quite the difference. The only minor complaint I’d have is that the stuff is a little goopy and can be a little messy when trying to use the applicator it came with.

A little goes a long way and also you need to wait a little before applying your eyeshadow because it does stay wet for a min, or rather it doesn’t dry instantly that is. I usually just dab some off of the applicator with my finger and will apply it to my lid with my ring finger and if I need to I will go in with a small concealer brush to blend it in more evenly or dab up any excess primer.

It’s a total bargain and you get a decent amount for what you pay for considering how little you really need to get the job done. This eye primer works for me so I have no interest in trying out any of the other brands who make one or even the more high end brands because I believe this stuff would probably work just as well if not better.

Give it a shot if you’re in the market for an effective and affordable eyelid primer.

I picked this bby up during the nyx sale (it was 70%off😱), long story short, this was hands down, THE best find. It’s a clear eyeshadow base that’s quite sticky. I wouldn’t say it turns anything waterproof tho, but it’s a rad shadow base.

I wore it when I went out with friends a few times and was surprised to find I didn’t crease, like, no skin showing through at all and no fading(I wore some dark blue and purple shadows that tend to rain on my face after the first hour😤).

Not gonna lie, that part kind of just swept me of my feet, however I was also happy to discover that because it’s so sticky it gripped my metallic and glittery shadows pretty dang well, as well as some more colorful mattes.

All in all I enjoy this one a lot🥰.

I recently bought this product as I was noticing my eye shadow was not staying on throughout the day, I was recommended to use an eye primer. I decided to buy this one with extremely low expectations due to the affordable/low price point and boy was it a good pick! This eye primer goes on so smooth on the skin and is not drying like some other eye primers I have tried.

My shadows have much more colour payoff on the lid and also stays on all day without the need of setting spray. Such a great product, I would buy again for sure!.

I love all the various packagings from Rare Beauty, and first of all this palette is no different. I love the outside packaging and and I love the eyeshadow pan design! The eyeshadow shades are really pretty too when you first look at them.

With use this palette is nice. It’s not the best palette I’ve ever used, but not the worst. The mattes build and blend nicely with a little more effort then some formulas I’ve used, but certainly useable.

I personally don’t mind building up. The shimmers work best using the wet brush technique. Again, not the best formula I’ve used, but certainly not the worst. Actually I was most pleased with the glitter pan, that I’d personally use with glitter glue, BUT even without the glue it stayed on the lid very well.

So overall Selena fans will probably love the palette. I didn’t love it, but didn’t hate it. I think it’s a nice decent palette.

My eyelids are weird man. They get dry close to the inner corner areas to the point the skin ‘cracks’ at times yet the rest of the eyelid gets oily. So perhaps dehydrated? I’m not sure but basically it’s really tricky what products works or not.

This primer makes the eyeshadow stick for longer without creasing, helps even the skintone and doesn’t make my eyelids crack from dryness. It actually lighly moisturizes them. So overall, It’s just a basic primer but it really does make a huge difference to your eyeshadow performance and longevity (and if u struggle with the same dry yet oily eyelid problem then I would recommend this product).

Excellent eye shadow primer! Helped keep me eye shadow on all shabbos.

So, I my skin has mostly ‘normalized’ as I have “matured” and that has left me with an odd combination of super dry under eyes and oily eyelids. It’s a frustrating combination because I struggle with getting products to set, stay-in-place, and last on my under-eye area as a result of oil migrating from my upper eyelid area during the day.

This results in slipping, creasing and sliding of my concealer, foundation, whathaveyou’s. Super frustrating. Not to mention that anything I put under my eyes looks like alligator skin, no matter the amount of hydrating preparation I do prior.

That is. until I found this under eye primer from Smashbox. It has a slight tint and subtle luminosity to it to help correct darkness. It is hydrating, but I would like it even more if it had greater benefits this way – definitely not as hydrating as my eyes need.

It takes a while to ‘set’ which can be annoying if I’m in a rush and I absolutely hate the hard plastic applicator. (I just dab some on the back of my hand and tap it in like any other cream, works fine) It leaves a nice tacky surface for concealer and/or foundation to adhere to and also allows enough hydrating factors that I can actually use a brightening eye powder to set the concealer.

Overall, I really appreciate this product – I do wish another company would try to “one-up” Smashbox on this primer, because there is room for improvement. But, I’ll take what I can get! For others with mature dry under eyes, will this product solve all the woes? No, no it won’t.

But it will help improve the situation under there, overall! *Application Tip – if you don’t tap this in pretty quickly it will begin to get chunky. Just, FYI! 😘 Aloha!.

At the time I purchased this it was basically the only under eye primer on the market that addressed under eye concerns. I received a sample of this from Sephora and after testing it out for several days after finishing up the product I immediately purchased it.

I have fine lines and the beginning of wrinkles as well as dark circles under my eyes. The issue with trying to conceal dark circles is if done incorrectly it can accentuate fine lines and wrinkles. After hydrating under my eyes and letting that sink in I apply the primer and then go in with some concealer.

Sometimes I color correct but not all the time. This product Is excellent and does what it says, it actually primes the under eye area and provides a smooth base for concealer application as well as increasing the longevity.

There is a difference in how long the concealer lasts with the primer and it does not settle into the fine lines. #smashbox #undereyeprimer.

I’ve been doing makeup for 10+ years, and I’ve never, ever found a product like this. Even with correct prep, I have issues with creasing under my eyes, and my oily cheeks. I look completely creaseless and line-free at the end of my work day, and even after a long night out in a hot club when I use this primer.

In all honesty I bought this a shade darker because the light had sold out, but I also usually add a hue of orange around my lid area for a very natural look so I thought I would try this. The staying power is excellent (have very oily eyelids), you need a small amount but I was surprised at how orange it is.

Medium but more medium to a deeper colour in orange tones. Going to give this to a friend.

If you are looking for an affordable brand and want an eye base , this is it! I really love using this color, really neutralizes my eyelid discoloration and makes my eyeshadow pop and last longer! Easy to blend too!.

Very thick formula makes for a great blank base for eyeshadows. Since it has such good coverge, I can also use it as a concealer for any difficult spots that need hiding.

I can’t explain how much I LOVE this product. The first time I wore it I applied it in the morning, then applied eyeshadow, then went SWIMMING and still had eyeshadow on. I won’t wear eyeshadow without priming with this first.

For the price, it is truly my favorite makeup product of all time.

I am always rubbing my eyeshadow off accidentally or worse rubbed onto my face lol. This is even neutral and lovely on its own PLUS now when using eyeshadow my eyeshadow stays on on top of it for hours.

Gets rid of crepe texture, and lines, it is smoothing, and long lasting. I got this two days ago at Macy’s. (I got great results with my Audacity in Paris palette, which formerly had not looked so good on my aged skin.

) A misty rain is okay with this primer. However, if crying, all bets are off. My allergies were bad today. The primer will not withstand the salty tears. My outer corner, left eye, lost shadow and primer, got crusty, Oops! It covered my upper, dark inner eye.

It is light, looks natural without shadow. Comfortable, this is a new generation of lid primer! Blend eyeshadow more quickly, get out the door faster!!.

I really like this new primer. It goes on colorless and helps my eyeliner and eye shadow stay put. It doesn’t cake up like aquatique, although the products are so different from each other, it seems like Lancome could still offer both for those that prefer it.

This is absolutely the best eye stay primer ever. Goes on evenly and does not cake the way others do. My eye lids tend to grow oily during the day causing my eye shadow to slip into and irritate my eyes.

This primer controls the oil, keeping my eye makeup in place until I am ready to remove it. I buy 2 at a time since I worry Guerlain may decide to discontinue it by replacing it with something else.

I’ve tried at least a dozen different eye primers, from various brands, and this one has become my favorite. I like that it is in a tube, that keeps the product fresh and avoids it drying out and clumping (which happens with primers that are in a tube with a wand applicator).

You also get a lot more product in this tube than you do with a wand primer. This goes on very easily, absorbs instantly and isn’t greasy or oily. It gives your eyelids a smooth canvas for your eye shadow.

I’ve used this with powdered eye shadows and cream shadows and it works perfectly with either. It makes my shadows easier to blend, and my shadows stay on all day. It is basically colorless, it’s not tinted, yet it does cover some of my eyelid discoloration.

It also looks nice worn alone, it really lightens up your eyes. As I said it’s one of the best I’ve used (I also love the Clarins eye primer, but that one is tinted), and I will definitely buy this again.

It might cost more than some of the others but this one will last a long time and give you more mileage for your money.

I am so glad I gave this eye primer a try. I had never used a primer before and needed one due to my eyes becoming more red on the eyelid and darker under eyes over the years. Love the way it blends in and leaves a mire even look.

I tried this eyeshadow primer for the first time yesterday. I have very hooded eyes as well as oily skin, so any eye primer I use has its work cut out for it. At 0530 I applied my makeup using Pat McGrath eyeshadows.

At 1730 when I got home from work it still looked great. There was almost no visible creasing or wear whatsoever. At 2200 I texted my daughter that I couldn’t believe how fresh it still looked. After accidentally falling asleep with my makeup on, I got up late this morning to find it still looking better than it usually does after a few hours at work.

I hated to take it off even then! Obviously the quality of the makeup makes a difference, but I’m confident that I’ll get the best results using this primer with any other kind of shadow. I can’t think of a reason for me to ever use anything else – especially considering it felt less drying than other primers I’ve used and I had no skin irritation (which, even with my oily skin, has been an issue with some of the more heavy-duty primers such as Urban Decay and Too Faced).

At 50 I’ve got a bit of crepey skin around the eyes, and this primer didn’t accentuate that as other products are wont to do. I couldn’t be happier with this product.

I think a lot of people look over this brand bc of the simple packaging, but don’t let the looks fool you. This brand is designed for makeup artists the quality is top notch. This eye primer goes on easily and gives a slightly tacky feeling to make sure the shadow stays.

For the shadows you have that may not stay as long as you want them to, try priming with this! You won’t be disappointed.

So as a primer it does work fairly well. I use it probably Atleast once a week lately, not as often as I could because I reach for others first. It is completely clear, which is great for some people, I don’t mind it but I prefer tinted.

Also the tub is hard to squeeze once you’ve used like half of it. I struggle to get it out now and still have quite a bit of product left to use. It does hold shadows on well but idk I’m not dying to buy it again,.
