20 Best External Speakers For Tv (2023 Updated)

I was pretty hesitant about spending so much on a set of PC speakers, but I’ve good experiences with a Bose Bluetooth speaker and a Bose sound system in our car. But let me say, after several weeks of use, these speakers are fantastic! I’ve previously purchased PC speakers ranging from $10 to $60 over the years, and these speakers are in a whole other class.

I work from home and use the speakers for everything from Pandora stations, YouTube playlists, video and audio-only Zoom and MS Teams calls and meetings. I use my earbuds most of the time but also unplug them pretty often.

The awesome thing is that the speakers adapt to the audio that’s playing. So when I’m on meetings, the voice audio is crisp and clear, and when I’m playing my music – which is a mix of rock, pop, EDM, instrumental, and contemporary religious – the speakers output the best sound for whatever I’m listening to.

Even when switching between the speakers and the earbuds the sound is adjusted accordingly to match whatever I’m playing the sound through. The only thing I might recommend is that if you’re going to be using headphones or earbuds with these speakers, get a 3.

5mm headphone extender cable. The right speaker is the one with the headphone jack, and on a computer, the right side is where most people have the mouse. I use the extender cable to route the wire behind my monitors and have my earbuds connect on the left side, which is more convenient.

These speakers are great for someone who’s looking for a sleek design and setup. They’re relatively thin in size, so they fit great into a lower profile desk arrangement. The sound is really great too.

They’re really well balanced and the sounds comes out very clearly. They’re plenty of bass in my opinion considering their design and the fact they have no subwoofer. I normally listen with the volume low because I sit so close to them, and they sound great with low volume.

I’ve also cranked it up to almost 75% volume, and they sound great loud too. I’ve actually put these side by side with the Audioengine A2 speakers, and I thought these sounded better and were a better package overall.

I’m very happy with my decision, and for purchasing these speakers. The only critique I would have about these is that they only have a wired connection to your music source. So no wifi or bluetooth connection, but only AUX cable.

So if you can accept that then I would definitely recommend these speakers. I got used to the AUX connection and it’s really not a problem for me compared to what I first thought. The speakers come with a AUX cable also so you don’t need to buy one.

I am trying to replace my 14 year old Bose Companion 3 Series II speakers (still working but one speaker going out intermittently) These are nowhere near as good. The consistent great clarity and sound stage you expect from Bose is lacking in these speakers.

These are mushy and don’t even sound like Bose. Other reviewers call this “warm. ” It’s not warm, it’s mushy and lacks typical Bose clarity. They sound like cheap PC speakers. Definitely not worth the price.

If you can, listen to them in a store before you buy. Quality is also suspect. Already had a humming from them and had to wiggle wires in back of the main speaker to get rid of the hum. Definitely worries me about long term reliability.

I love Bose, these just do not live up to typical Bose sound and reliability. Frustrated as they no longer sell a 2. 1 system. Definitely miss the bass as well as the clarity. Will return these – already ordered Logitech Z625 2.

I convinced my wife to buy these to replace a soundbar she’d been frustrated with almost since the day I hooked it up. I have a full Klipsch Reference system in the theater room so I wanted to have that sound in the living room.

I was disappointed that the Fives don’t have the same lively detailed sound my Reference speakers do considering the price but other than that they are impressive. They are much livelier playing music from a phone or tablet compared to the tv so keep the source in mind when judging.

Either way they sound really good and much larger than their footprint would lead you to expect. The bass response is surprisingly good from such small speakers. A subwoofer is not needed unless you need rock bottom sub bass.

The variety of inputs makes them a great value for an all in one compact solution for home entertainment. We use ours to watch tv and listen to streaming music. They get loud enough for most uses/occasions but not ear piercing like some people might like.

These are for daily living, not wall shaking party/concert use. I’d buy these again in a heartbeat.

To start let me tell you my background. I grew up with my uncle who has 2 Chorus II’s, 2 Kg4’s and sense then I have been addicted to the sound of Klipsch. So much that I tracked down and bought 2 Forte’s and 2 Kg4’s.

Both were built in the 80’s and still sound like nothing else. No speaker manufacturer can stand up to Klipsch on sound quality and reliability and the pure fact the heritage series will last a lifetime.

I purchased these tiny “The Five” speakers expecting they will sound good sense it’s Klipsch. Let me tell you, they ROCK! They sound amazing. They are like a mini Chorus II. Where mine are positioned I couldn’t imagine needing a Sub.

If you have a large open room you may want a sub, for me it’s not even necessary. The bass is deep, the mids are spot on and the highs are clear. They truly blow my Sonos Arc out of the water. If I had heard these speakers first, I never would have bought the Sonos.

The one star and two star reviews on here are totally irrelevant. I have not had those issues at all. KLIPSCH… PLEASE MAKE THE CHORUS II’s AGAIN. PLEASE ADD THEM TO YOUR HERITAGE SERIES, I WILL BUY THEM TODAY IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE.

I waited a couple of months before writing this review, needed to make sure they were as good as everyone raved about. WOW what a great purchase I am not disappointed can’t get over the sound quality.

I had previously purchase a Polk soundbar and subwoofer, just did not have the sound I was wanting, Bluetooth was constantly dropping sound was in and out was ok for TV but loving music this wasn’t doing the job, returned and replaced with a Samsung soundbar and still did not have the sound I was wanting.

Returned to COSTCO and saw the Fives on sale $100. 00 off compared to other high end speaker systems, really liked the sound of all high-end systems but something kept saying go with the Klipsch, easy set up and updated the firmware and attached my 100W sub put on some Sirus XM music, wife came in the family room she was so surprised at the beautiful sound and ask me to put some of her favorite music on.

Let me tell you a Happy wife is a Happy life. Put on a NETFLIX action movie WOW WOW WOW I have never been so happy with my purchase I listen to beautiful music every morning and sets my mood for the day.

I would give this unit 5 stars, except for the lack of LEDs on the front panel to monitor the status of the soundbar (read below). The sound is excellent for what I’m using it for. I didn’t want to run a bunch of wire and hang satellite speakers for my 5.

1 rear L-R speakers, so I’m using this soundbar for my rear L-R channels. It sits under the TV and incredibly fills in the gap between the front L-R main speakers. The dispersion is excellent — exactly what Bose is famous for.

(NOTE: This unit is amplified, so do not shoot hot amplified audio from your amp’s speaker outputs unless you can pad it down! My Onkyo surround tuner lets me set each output as low as -14dB, which is perfect for not over-driving the input of the Bose.

) I use the analogue AUX input jack to feed in the speaker-out signal from the amp. The “dialogue” setting really does clarify speech in shows & movies where there is a lot of background EFX or music going on.

Mids & highs are crystal clear — no sibilance. Now, about those cheesy LED’s. This unit only has 2 LED’s on the front to let you know what mode you’re in, etc. The LED’s change color, blink in various ways, stay solid, etc.

, for each function. I had to download the complete manual and keep the page for the LED Mode Table handy to keep track of what I was setting up. For $279, Dr. Bose should have added a few more (inexpensive) LED’s to the front panel.

This was a real design flaw. Simplicity is fine if it doesn’t make things complicated. Lastly, when in auto power-down mode, it takes about 2 hours to power off when there is no signal present — kinda silly.

10 minutes makes more sense. I do not use this unit with any outboard sub-woofer, as my Boston Acoustic mains give all the thump we need. If you are using this (as intended) strictly for a TV speaker, you may want to add a small sub-woofer.

You can easily connect one with a patch cord, via the 1/8″ sub-out jack on the back. The price of this unit is way too much, but I paid it because it’s Bose and it was the best sounding bar in this size range with an analogue input.

The Bose – TV Speaker Bluetooth Soundbar works for our needs as expected. This is our second Soundbar, as we already have one in the living room. We placed this new unit in our bedroom. We initially purchased this after hearing the sound quality at my parents house.

We were sold! Pros Our current flatscreen tv’s have uneven sound and in certain streaming apps the commercials are significantly louder than the movie or tv show we are watching. This Soundbar has an amazingly even transition of sound from commercial to streaming program so we do not have to mute and unmute every commercial break and on Hulu it was a pain to do so.

We also had an issue with inconsistencies in the transition between the bass and speech, but once we hooked up the new Bose TV Speaker that issue went away. We can clearly hear the actors even the soft spoken moments as well as great bass during action scenes.

CONS I will begin by saying if you are looking for a movie theater experience in your house with surround sound quality this will probably not be for you. This is a Soundbar and does not come with extra speakers to surround your seating area, however, I think they do have options for add on’s or Soundbars that do come with extra speaker set ups.

The only con I can think of would be something I feel like most people would get frustrated with when setting up their speaker. With our first speaker we hooked it up to our TCL android TV and we jumped through hoops to find the correct setup selection to initiate the connection.

I am pretty sure this was a TV issue not a Soundbar issue. On our Roku Tv the only issue we had connecting was making sure we had the correct HDMI ARC cord. They provide a different cord (Optical) but if you want an HDMI connection you have to purchase a cord specifically for the ARC connection.

We tried two different HDMI cords before it worked. The Optical connection works but if I am correct it does not allow for the Soundbar to be controlled by your remote. If you are having problems connecting your Soundbar to your TV I would suggest troubleshooting through the instruction pamphlet or look up your specific TV instruction pamphlet or on YouTube.

After you find it you will realize it was the easiest solution. We live in a top unit apartment so we are happy with our new Soundbar. The bass is loud enough but not too loud to disturb our neighbors below.

We highly recommend!.

I just looked to see if by some miracle the $224 I spent on this extremely dysfunctional lousy BOSE ( supPOSED to be a great name in speakers), speaker, was still returnable. I got it last March, so too late.

Too bad because now I realize just what a ripoff this is. I’ve been disappointed with it from the beginning, and wish I had returned it then. Now that I got a speaker that’s 100 times nicer, and larger as well, for less than 1/3 the price, way more functional in every way and with way more features and sound that is truly GREAT…am angry I am stuck with this useless INFERIOR hard to use, mediocre sounding speaker.

It literally doesn’t work along with my amazing beloved Sharp Aquos Quattron Smart TV WHATSOEVER! I tried it with HDMI and went back to its own optical cord. Doesn’t matter, both don’t help the non-function.

Here is why… For TV, I have to press repeatedly to finally get some volume, then if I switch channels, it BOOMS up in volume unexpectedly, and I have to desperately press repeatedly again to lower it.

Once that’s done, next time I change channels the sound goes down to NOTHING, and have to raise it again! Whatever function you last press, it magnifies or decreases by many decibels. It doesn’t respond at all with my cable/tv remote at all! While it appears to be on, I’m only listening to my tv built in sound because it’s too much bother to get it to work, and the wild increasing and decreasing volumes that have a mind of their own, make it impossible to deal with.

I can’t afford to get carpal tunnel pressing the hard to press remote buttons and the stupid coin battery will be a pain to replace too. The remote barely is useable, and choice of function is limited to increase/decrease of bass, no listening modes like my new one.

This offers nothing for a high price. Nothing but a name it’s living on, undeservedly. The only time it sounds decent is when I play music over the Bluetooth from my nearby iMac. That of course sometimes takes awhile to get the music to actually start playing, although my iMac shows it is connected, and I see the indicator on the speaker, which is only a tiny light that turns green white or blue.

So I see it turn white, yet it’ll not play music until I raise and lower the volume through my iMac. Then it blinks sometimes until pressed back to green for tv, which I can’t use due to crazy up and down volumes when changing channels.

HORRIBLE! Oh how I now wish I never bought this sound bar, it should be called a SUB-PAR instead. Bowmaker blows this away with working and multiple features for a fraction. Do not be fooled by the Bose name.

They should be ashamed. Wish I knew in March what I learned today. I hope this helps you avoid disappointment as I’ve had. Bose, shame on you!.

We previously had an Energy soundbar and subwoofer which we have had for around 8 years. It sounded great, but wasn’t fantastic at night when the kids are sleeping and we’re trying to watch a movie or shows as the bass would overwhelm any dialog.

We had also invested in the Sonos ecosystem for other rooms with a Move, some Play Ones, and a Play Five. When the new Beam was announced I decided to give it a go as I liked the idea of clearing up the floor space used by the subwoofer and having the integration with the other Sonos speakers.

What I wasn’t expecting was the ease of setup with ARC, which our previous soundbar didn’t support, which has simplified our remote control usage. Unfortunately our TV doesn’t support eArc, so I don’t know how good the Atmos sounds, but otherwise this tiny soundbar sounds almost equivalent to our previous Energy.

Perfect for our needs, and the added control to allow night time listening or enhancing dialog is exactly what we needed. Tip for anyone else who may come across this issue – we have Telus as our TV provider, and the Telus PVR does not play nicely with ARC, it would cause the Beam to disconnect from the TV when switching to the PVR input on the TV.

I found that there is an adapter you can buy online to work around this, or if you have a small screwdriver you can modify the HDMI cable from the PVR carefully and it works fine (google “hdmi arc pin 13 fix” should help).

After years of making do with inferior speakers as the prevalence of streaming condemned our good old fashioned hi-fi systems to storage it was time for a reinvestment in sound quality. Following a demo at our local Richer Sounds we had a decision to make, clearly Sonos products are best in class but should we target our first Sonos purchase on the Five or a Beam configured with two SL Ones? It came down to an unanimous family vote, we wanted an upgrade on our existing TV soundbar with a bit of music, so the beam and two SL One configuration won the day (on this occasion 🙂 ).

Worth adding that the value of the in store demo cannot be under-estimated, the staff really helped with their knowledge and patience, answering countless questions from the family. Delivery following placement of telephone order via local store was super quick.

Set up of the beam and two ones as surrounds was so easy using the Sonos app and my word, the upgrade in sound quality from our previous soundbar is immense! What beautiful immersive sound with really nice depth.

For the size of our living room, this was ideal and not sure if an addition of a sub would be necessary or overkill. The beam and ones do a great job providing great surround sound with the sonos app providing some really useful features for enhancing film narrative and toning down loud notes at night-time (perfect for not waking neighbours or sleeping kids!).

The beam and ones also provide a really nice option of streaming music through Spotify etc and the tunes sound excellent for our living room space. The beam is integrated to use either Amazon Alexa or Google assistant and this works perfectly too.

For the curious of you out there, it’s also easy to remove the SL Ones as surrounds from the beam if you so wish and instead pair these together as a stereo pair in another room. Calibrating the acoustics for your room using Trueplay is quick and relatively straightforward using the Sonos app but to do this you must have an IOS device.

Overall, if you love your films, tv and music the beam supported by a couple of ones will delight you and is really well worth the investment. A purchase from Richer Sounds will even give you a peace of mind through their six year guarantee.

We wondered what the fuss was about. We do now, Sonos rocks – it’s that simple.

Several months into ownership and I am still underwhelmed and somewhat disappointed in this product. The sound in most situations is underwhelming (I own a cheaper soundbar too that at half the price is frequently better) and there are loads of compatibility issues that the reviews and promo material wont tell you about.

On its own the sound is barely better than the tiny speakers on my TV and sometimes its worse – much worse. I ended up investing in 2x Sonos One’s to give me something that resembled a more immersive sound experience – setting them up as surround speakers.

Richer Sounds to their credit were really helpful in helping me to get the right deal (perhaps they could have asked me more questions before I brought the beam on their advice and me them). Unfortunately my issue is mostly with the product.

The lip sync with the Sky box is awful. Few if any sky programs or films work in 5. 1 on the system and when its just a stereo output my TV speakers are much better. Linking directly to Disney Plus via the net on the TV not via Sky box gives good results and then its a pleasure to listen to streamed marvel or disney films.

With normal day to day TV I just don’t bother – there really isnt any point. However, the big disappointment is that it doesn’t work with my blu ray player. Techno-audiophiles would already know this but I didn’t and and nor was I alerted to this via promotional material or advice given.

I have a nice library of blu rays which can now only be listened to in poor imitation stereo from the beam. To get round this I recently had to source a second hand samsung blu ray that could translate DTS sound to digital for 5.

1 on the beam. In the end I have ended up with a very expensive system that isn’t compatible with much of what I want to watch / listen to, more often than not outputs in poor stereo and costs far more than its worth.

I would not recommend.

I’m an audiophile and a musician/songwriter. I love traditional vinyl and have invested in the very best high end JBL100 speakers and Yamaha AS1200 amp for my vinyl rig. So I’m fussy. For my digital set up I was sceptical about these MARSHALL speakers assuming it was a marketing gimmick using their wonderful brand name.

I bought my first WOBURN II about two years ago and since then have bought four more. I’m astonished how beautiful they sound. Bluetooth my phone in and turn it up and it’s loud and warm and distortion free.

Like I’m a kid again and it’s 1976. Do yourself a favour. Just buy a WOBURN II. You won’t regret it. They’re not made for camping or taking to a picnic. They’re made to be part of your home living room and they will even make your home look better.

Great sounding Bluetooth speaker, but gimmicky controls are annoying! I already had a Marshall Acton and was hoping the Woburn II would be a bigger and more powerful version. The sound is great, controls awful.

There are three connection methods, Bluetooth/Aux/RCA, when connected using Aux or RCA the Bluetooth, in my opinion, should be turned off, but it is not and if previously connected Bluetooth devices come within range the sound is repeatedly interrupted by the sound of device connection/disconnection, very annoying! The speaker controls are the other annoying feature, instead of having simple controls where you can see what the settings are by the position of the switch and dials, The On/Off switch makes a sound when turning on and off, but otherwise stays in the same position, so you cannot tell at a glance whether it is on or off.

The Volume/Bass/Treble dials are the same, when you move them lights around the side show the setting, but they only show up when moving the dials, fine if you like gimmicks, but not very practical! Overall a great sounding speaker with impractical controls!.

Amazing speaker, sound quality is very niche. You’ll need to play around EQ settings to get good results. Though Flat EQ is good enough for ambient listening. At mid to high volumes is where it really shines.

I was testing it with iPhone 12 pro (no AptX), and and 60-70% volume it was loud – like very loud. IMO college students have much higher nuisance tolerance than suburb residents. My college neighbors complained about the noise 2 hours after I got the speaker.

I was playing it at 60-70% with EQ adjusted for whatever kinda song I was playing. You get the gist it’s a very loud speaker while maintaining crisp sound quality. Not losing any sound to distortion.

Maybe at 100% slight distortion – i don’t know if the distortion is a good thing or bad because it’s kind of Marshall Signature sound – but you’re probably never going to go beyond 70%. Speaker placement in my loft was important.

Because depending where I placed it there was a difference in sound. Tho at higher volumes it doesn’t matter. The speaker won’t annoy your neighbors, rather will inspire them to call the cops.

I was lucky enough to have my son here when I received my TCL TS611 Dolby Audio 2. 1 Channel Sound bar with Roku TV Ready, and Wireless Subwoofer; which of course he was able to very easily read the instructions, then set the entire system up for me.

Luckily, I do have a “ROKU” television, which has multiple ports, which I never would have realized that having it on the #1 port makes all the difference with this system, thanks to my extremely intelligent son.

The very first time I tried this system was when I wanted to watch a DVD Movie. Now, whenever we would try to watch anything on the DVD Player, for some reason, we could never hear the movie hardly at all.

Even with the DVD Player volume up all the way, and the TV as high as we could get it without making it sound distorted, it just never sounded right at all. Now with the Sound System all set up, I turned on my DVD Movie.

I was absolutely blown away, it was amazing. I not only could hear the movie, it sounded to me like I was actually sitting in a movie theater! So, I would very much recommend this system. Especially to all the surround sound lovers out there that like the sound & feel of being in a movie theater.

Even maybe if you have a child, or teen that would like a better sound for his/her Xbox games, or even to make their movie sound experience as I have, go for it, its well worth it.

I will say that I’ve just hooked up this sound bar as of tonight. I purchased this purely based on price and features, I had a gift card, and essentially didn’t want to be in trouble with my wife. So my situation is that I have a 65 inch tcl roku TV, however the roku features aren’t used as the TV doesn’t get connected to the internet.

However, I do use it with a fire stick. To be totally honest, I didn’t read the instructions, I’m a computer tech, and pretty much I pulled it out of the box, plugged the sub in at the back of the living room, placed the sound bar under the TV, connected power, plugged the hdmi into the hdmi arc port, and used the sound bar’s USB input as power for the fire stick.

Upon turning on the TV, the TV automatically picked up the sound bar without me doing anything extra, and the fire stick booted up. I set the bar to movie mode. It sounded ok as is playing music from the fire stick.

However, if you are using it in this manner, or with another device, set your device to Dolby Digital audio output. In my case, this made the sound bar sound even better than before. This accomplished what I wanted, which was that when I press the power button, the TV comes on, the sound bar comes on, and subsequently boots the fire stick that is plugged into the sound bar’s USB port.

When I turn off the TV, the TV, fire stick and sound bar all turn off. For a roughly 100-120 dollar sound bar, the audio quality is good, and it has good features. Don’t buy this if you are expecting Yamaha or Bose.

Truth be told, I sort of wanted a Polk audio sound bar that is listed here for almost 100 dollars more, but this was a compromise. I can’t speak to long term yet, but if what you have is 100-120 dollars, or you catch this on a sale, get it.

It’s a nice item for what it is, especially for having hdmi arc. I did come from an older insignia sound bar that also had a sub, but no hdmi arc. This is probably on par with that. But there isn’t much on the tcl sound bar in the way of eq controls.

So if you just want to set it up and not worry, this is a good unit.

I’ve had this just over one year and it is failing. The sub began it’s issue about 6mo ago when it would either not work without power cycling it or it would freak out and get so loud it would have to be unplugged.

Which is what it took to reset it anyway. In the last week though, the whole system will randomly turn off, which then the TV speakers take over, or would just go mute and need to be turned off then on again.

Great sound when it works. Of course, just over a year and failing is not good. Lesson learned, spend the extra money for the next level. Don’t go with least expensive, even in a quality brand. It was only about $100 so I guess that it was almost worth it.

I could not be happier than with my purchase of the Audioengine HD3’s. I had limitied deskspace and I wanted the best sound that I could get. These hit that mark. I do not know if I would qualify as an audiophile, but definitely as an audio enthusiast.

I reviewed online and on YouTube all the best speakers that would qualify as desktop speakers and these were the ones. The sound quality makes them audiophile worthy. I do recommend the stands that they sell and I do use a sub-woofer and I flip the reduced bass switch to allow the sub to take the lowest range.

Absolutely sold on the performance and sound!.

Ive exchanged over 12 emails with Audioengine and they spent the first 8 ignoring every request to return what they have confirmed appears to be a faulty product. The speakers emit an electronic buzz / feedback sound that is only overshadowed by music when at mid-range volume.

If playing music quietly or loudly the buzz is most if not all you can hear. After 5 days of asking how to return these, their support staff — Patrick — finally shared how. Which, btw, must be within 5 business days.

Coincidently, the amount of time it took them to outline how to return their broken speakers. If they were treating this like their audition, I would have 10 business days to return WORKING SPEAKERS.

Most notably. I have to pay to return these expensive paper weights. ! (Thats not going to be cheap. ) Long story short, they would send replacements for free, but after dealing with these [insert expletives here] for more than a week, turns out if you dont want to let them keep your money after sending bad product — THEY MAKE YOU PAY TO RETURN THEIR BROKEN SPEAKERS and give you way less time than if you were auditioning them.

Just mindboggling rich sound. hard to believe when you look at the tiny size of these speakers. Downside is they’re quite pricey and you don’t get a remote. You can get similar (but generally bulkier) devices for far less money in brands like Edifier or Creative.

Nutshell. I needed something small but good and this fits the bill.

Overall I really do like these speakers. They sound very clean, bright (not harsh) and balanced. As other reviewers have stated, if youre a basshead, this wont quench your thirst. If however, youre looking for a near-audiophile set of powered speakers, these will do perfectly.

The APTX bluetooth sounds great and using the line input sounds really really good. Ive not tried the optical or coax input so I cant comment. I would have given 5 stars except for two things: 1. I really wish they had a USB input.

This would have been a nice addition for computer use. 2. They get plenty loud. but for $450 they should get really loud. 🙂 I do want to specifically mention the tweeters they chose for the 360 series, which changed from its predecessor the 350.

They changed to Planar style tweeters, typically use din higher end speakers. Ive never had a set with this type of tweeter and was concerned it would sound like metal dome style tweeters. (typically titanium).

I much prefer silk dome tweeters for their warmer sound. I admit I really do like these planar tweeters. They are crisp and tight without being harsh, probably my new fav. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to seeing and hearing how they break in.

Im no audiophile first off, but I am an audio enthusiast and have been for decades. The Edifier S360’s are some very nice sounding speakers and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a plug and play system with bluetooth and amplifiers built-in.

The planar tweeters are soooo nice, and the system is well balanced. The sub does a decent job as long as you keep your expectations in-line. It absolutely does a great job of adding depth and roundness to the sound, but dont expect to rattle the pictures off the walls.

The sound if very clean. I find the mids warm and the highs, through that great planar tweeter, are precise but not harsh and just so clean. To my ears they remind me of the Infinity Kappa silk dome tweeters.

This is probably just taste though since I know some prefer metal dome, but I find those harsh and fatiguing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these.

Sounds okay at low to mid levels. The sub will cut out at higher levels. No grills to cover the speakers at all. Remote is a horrible design. Decent mids/highs. Bass is clean but has no real power. If you like background music they’re okay, but if you like to rock out on occasion then don’t buy these.

For the price they’re absolutely NOT worth it. I’d return but missed the return date.

I recently purchased a pair of Tuks on line from Bloor Street Audio in Toronto. My intention was to upgrade from the first generation of Kanto speakers I had purchased some 10 years ago and with which I was very happy.

Amazing sound from a very small box. As for the Tuks, they impart a metallic quality to everything that is played through them so that everything your hear sounds the same and if, like me, you don’t like like their “tuneful” character, you will find them tiresome very quickly.

With the Tuks, you hear the speakers, not the music. If you’re planning to purchase these, I strongly recommend that you listen to them before buying. They may not be for you. Also, had I known that they were “Made in China”, I would not have bought them, regardless of price or sound quality.

My first real pair of HiFi speakers. Was blown away by the multiple modes of connection (USB, optical, bluetooth) which makes connection super easy. The remote is smooth and intuitive, albeit slightly laggy.

I love that there’s connections on the back for phono, RCA, and even aux. Straightforward and easy set-up, and aesthetically they are very appealing. If only I could have gotten them in white! haha. The detail from the AMT tweeters is amazing.

I would say downside after listening to these for the past 2 weeks is that the sound leans slightly on the neutral-bright side and I wish there was some more oomph on the low end bass. Even when bumped up to louder volumes I felt like the bass could use a little more kick, but I guess that’s when you need a subwoofer.

All in all, really satisfied with the purchase. Great quality and functionality for the price before making the jump to an even more expensive Hi-Fi system.

I spent days researching speakers and these had mixed reviews yet overall were well rated. I added them to my cart, removed them, continued researching and then saw they had dropped to $650. Added, purchased, 2 days later I’m listening and breaking them in.

All I can say is that “WOW”. For their size, they have very good highs, mods, and enough bass to make them really fun in a small space. They don’t really get LOUD but I’m good with that or my neighbor would be knocking on my door.

Added bonuses to these are the built-in DAC; using the USB input vs Bluetooth, I can hear more detail (enough so that I’m looking now at a portable DAC for work and outside of where the speakers are placed) and a built-in headphone amp with headphone outlet.

Those were hi selling points for me. Adding a turntable is super simple and there is a phono amp built in along with a second set of RCA inputs. Nice job! The Bluetooth is easy to pair. I have my Apple TV paired with them and it’s a nice solution for a 2 channel or 2.

1 if you add a sub to your setup. After just over 2 weeks with these, I’ve gotten very comfortable with the remote and various features and more importantly really like the way they sound!!.

I bought this 2 weeks ago from RS Bristol, to replace old Bose Sound Link that doesn’t have Bluetooth connection, in one word it is amazing. I use it with Bluetooth from my Android phone playing music from Spotify.

The sound is fantastic way better than the Bose it replacef, and gets better the more I run it in. I love the separate bass and treble buttons which allows you to fine tune to your own preference. Tried several others in store Sonos and Audio Pro addon C3 no comparison in my opinion.

Only small gripe is that it is wired so can’t use outside in bad weather. However seeing as I am going to be using it in my man cave where I have power, it isn’t an issue for me. Excellent service from Mark and the team in Bristol branch.

After reviewing desktop speakers to replace my Bose Companions, I realized it boils down to taste and expectations. Growing up in the 60s, playing a little bass, going to countless great concerts in NYC, and knowing Marshall’s excellence led me to check this one out.

I’ve owned McIntosh 500 watt and 270 watt amps, KEF 107s, etc. If that’s what you want, add 0s. This is an amp, preamp and single speaker smaller than a shoe box – and it’s excellent for what is. Plus, looking at my mini-amp look alike with light-up red dials makes me smile.

Setup: Less than 10 minutes to unpack, plug in, download the app, connect my phone and play music. Read a few complaints about the app spamming you with offers and tracking you. Opt out of email and analytics when you set up.

I allowed analytics because that does help product repairs and improvement. Sound: Read a few complaints about not enough volume. After listening to one at the store, I was convinced it’s user problems.

I’m listening from another room with the speaker volume at 50%. Any louder would make my neighbors unhappy. Turn the volume on your phone, tablet or computer to max and control volume at the speaker.

Bass, mids and highs are what to expect in this price range. Voices and cymbals are clear, bass isn’t muddy. Listening for the past hour hasn’t made me want to turn them off. These beat the Bose Companions and Sonos Ones, in my opinion.

Marshall should add an equalizer to their app – keep the bass and treble dials of course – and boom, perfection. Are you listening Marshall? Connection: Tested at the opposite end of my 1,200 sq foot condo through a couple of walls without any connection loss.

Durability: I’ll be back. Bottom Line: For under $300, you won’t find a better speaker. They may not be to your liking, but that’s a matter of taste. And they look great on my desk and make smile.

This is a truly great piece of kit from Marshall, a British company with a sixty year history of making high-power amplifiers and speakers for amateur and professional musicians alike. Although quite impressed by the appearance of this unit online, I was even more enthused examining it first-hand from a tactile perspective, the construction being solidly reassuring and the styling tastefully retro, enabling it to look at home in virtually any situation.

In terms of power delivery and sound quality I could not fault the Acton, despite its quite diminutive size. In summary, I thought this was a great buy with nothing to dislike. Whilst I have downloaded the App, I did not use it to carry out Bluetooth pairing, which was a dawdle manually.

Well done Marshall!.

Great sound. The Accuvoice and Surroundsound really help make voices much more intelligible, etc. Especially when there is other background sounds like music with the voices. I was able to program my Xfinity remote to control the ZVOX sound bar, on/off, volume, mute, etc.

However, the unit spontaneously turns itself off occasionally, unpredictably and with no warning. The unit actually turns off, not just mutes the sound. Then the mute/unmute button, NOT the power button, on my Xfinity remote, NOT the ZVOX remote, turns the unit back on.

So I have to keep the remote handy to turn it back on. If I leave it off, after it turns itself off, it will sometimes eventually spontaneously turn itself back on. Sometimes this issue of turning itself off doesn’t happen for a long time, hours, sometimes it happens frequently, multiple times per hour, while watching TV.

Still trying to identify any patterns in this behavior.

This time I only had it two days before it started turning itself off numerous times during a program, as if on a timer, causing all sound to cease. Had to keep pressing and repressing the volume on the remote to get the sound to work again.

I bought a ZVOX about ten years ago that simply quit working after a month. I thought I’d try it again now, but same old problems plagued the ZVOX without any improvements in 10 years. It caused the television to get out of sync with the ZVOX box so the television will not even turn on unless pressing and repressing the on/off button on the television remote numerous times.

Spent time on the phone with the tech people, and it seemed to work, but only temporarily; it didn’t continue to work–same issues. When ZVOX works it’s AMAZING, but to have it start acting up after only TWO DAYS, given my history with the previous ZVOX lasting only a month, is beyond unacceptable.

Bottom line, not worth the frustration. Returning before I have to trash yet another ZVOX and lose even more money on a wholly deficient product.

I thought I needed more height channels and then I thought that these were a good enough price and I still agree with myself on both points lol. The audio quality of these speakers is fine, nothing super fancy but height channels aren’t supposed to trade blows with full range towers and speaking of towers.

you would do well not to put them on top of a tower and have it fire the audio up at your ceiling because it doesn’t really reflect back and sound like a height channel. At all. However they are also easily wall mountable and come with any hardware you may need.

If you mount them above the towers right and as close to the ceiling as possible then the effect is quite convincing even with just 2 if them which is impressive since height channels technically belong overhead as in in your ceiling pointing down.

I ended up ordering another set of them so now I have 4 total. I mounted 1 near the ceiling over my center channel end another in the same place but behind where we sit. Then I put one (again up high) on both the left and right sides of the room.

It’s even more convincing this way if your receiver can handle that many height channels. The new spiderman movie sounded amazing with height channels and so do video games and surely plenty of other things, especially if your receiver has the ability to measure spatial audio instead of just your normal flat plane speaker setup.

Definitely recommend.

Decided to buy a discrete system after having bad luck with a soundbar system from a four-letter (!) manufacturer. No regrets! Treated myself to a Sony STR-DH790 7. 2-Channel A/V Receiver, the Sony SS-CS3 3-Way Floorstanding Speakers, a set of Sony SS-CSE Atmos speakers (this review), the Sony SA-CS9 10 115W Subwoofer, Sony SS-CS8 2-Way Center Channel Speaker, a set of Sony SS-CS5 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers for the rear.

These speakers add the front Atmos channels to the system in our living room. Maybe I expected more of an Atmos enabled system – when playing videos that are encoded with those channels (and made sure the receiver is set correctly!).

But I do not get that overhead feeling from them, like it has been described in numerous tests and demonstration videos. Yes, I DID take time to adjust the settings in the receiver to get the best sound image in the room.

If you take your time and go through all the settings and figure out all the settings/options on the receiver, the end result OVERALL will NOT disappoint you. But the Atmos presence. well. the jury is still out on that.

Maybe it is not the speakers, maybe I have unrealistic expectations. Have not watched/listened to a lot of movies yet, but my favorites so far are Das Boot and the end live-concert of Bohemian Rhapsody.

The concert scene puts you in the middle of the audience – I can play that concert over and over just to be immersed in it. In Das Boot, you do get the claustrophobic feeling delivered to you. Overall, this has been a good investment.

I use this as my upfiring Dolby Atmos channel in my 7. 2. 6 setup at home, and it works just fine. I’m not sure why the Sony representative in the questions/ answer said it wasn’t used for such, because chances are, if you are to mount it to a ceiling, you would use a bipole, unless ofc you are mounting it downwards completely.

I personally used it on video games, specifically triple-a titles, but even the minor titles that didn’t support atmos, it did well. I specifically used it in 3rd person titles such as Nioh 2, Wolfenstein 2 TNO, and a few others.

The sound field and directional hit really came through. As for movies, I used Tenet, a show called Succession, Warrior (HBO), and a few others, and tbh, for the most part they were spot on. I think lightning and thunder effects were spot on, but the times that they weren’t, I feel it was due to the mixing.

And let me explain. If an airplane started on the back two channels and moved forward to the front two channels, sometimes, the mixing for the middle would intentionally be skipped but, other times in other content it would play just fine.

My biggest gripe with them is how lucky you can get and the height. I personally have these on top of speakers ofc, and those speakers are above 6’2″ off the ground (using a speaker stand). They work well, but my ceilings are completely flat, and I had to test out a lot of atmos videos for my receiver before I really liked it – so your mileage may vary.

I was hesitant to purchase this without ever seeing one in person but the most recent reviews were so good that I took the risk. I’ve been a Klipsch speaker owner since 1990 and my Forte II never disappoint either so I bought one for my wife to keep in her office.

First, love the styling and control hardware! It’s all very cool and tactile, not sure if I’m going back in time or leaping ahead to the future with this unit. Second, the sound is quite impressive-especially the bass considering the size of the unit.

I have a couple Bose sound touch units and I must say this is better in every way (except the wifi and play all function on the Bose is super convenient)! This bad boy could easily serve as the head unit for a turn table or CD player in an office or studio apartment or other small setting.

Will definitely consider one for the kitchen, bedroom, or airbnb apartment. maybe all three. The sound quality and design of this purchase has spurred me towards updating my Forte II to the Forte IV for our new house!.

This was more if an experimental purchase to see what you get for $180. In a 5. 1 sound system. Comments It has no optical input therefore true 5. 1 ( separate channel) is not possible. Blutooth can not acclimate this.

It does have rca Jack’s that suggest 5 1 inputs. but just try to find an optical to 5 1 audio analogue. practically cant be done. So you are left with 2 or 4 speaker 2 channel stereo surround. The centre speaker seems to provide a mono sound.

Also the speakers aren’t great. sub is moderate. Its 160wattz is split between all 5 speakers and is measured on all speakers being driven to the max. ( pmo). But hold on. good for a PC sound. home theater no.

Excellent sound quality. Cant adjust bass and treble. Only has bluetooth and rca inputs. But if you can live with that it is amazing value. Paired with my tv it provides a true cinema experience.

Bluetooth is super fast and the bass sound is powerful. At this price, it is difficult to find a better one on the market. It was worth waiting for this model to be available on the sales market again.

I was using a soundbar on my television in my bedroom. I was never quite happy with the sound from a soundbar. Its never as advertised. I didn’t want to get a full surround sound system (with 5 speakers) considering it was for my bedroom, so when I came across this system, I figured I’d give it a try.

The result is that I LOVE the sound it puts out. I don’t’ see me ever regretting this purchase.

First of all, I didn’t expect this to pack so much bass! I bought it for my computer and WOW I’m impressed! I don’t have to use any other surround sound in my apartment because this one is loud enough.

Worth the money. It’s also a little bigger than I expected. Let’s just say that I totally underestimated this set. Silly me.

I Love this system. I am a very picky person when it comes to almost everything. This system is perfect for my needs. It has great bass, treble and it’s loud. I loved it so much that I am ordering another one for another room.

I’d had my eye on these for a while, having always had good experience with these folded ribbon/AMT tweeters. what I wasn’t expecting was the depth of bass response. As it happened, I first fired these up next to a full THX-certified studio monitor setup with a sub the size of a coffee table, so it was quite a surprise to have these bookshelves covering the audible range of most music, and one of very few speakers I’d be pretty happy to use without a sub (action movie no.

music yes). There’s a lot to like: very well-behaved, smooth, just ever so slightly light on highest end (which is often perceived as less fatiguing) but with eyebrow-raising amounts of detail and no standout box resonance or other problem areas.

The bass/treble controls sound to me like high/low rolloff and are thus pretty useful in tuning the sound to your liking without creating harsh side effects, and can be adjusted via remote FROM YOUR LISTENING POSITION instead of fumbling behind the speakers themselves.

The huge array of inputs, rock solid bluetooth performance, surprisingly nice matte finish (I was not expecting seamless corners) and thankfully subtle branding all round out this package as very likely the best Hi Fi system you’re gonna find anywhere under $1K, and certainly the most capable all-in-one solution I’ve ever heard.

And Hi Fi these are – they are not as brutally honest as a studio monitor, but rather more flattering, with just a little extra punch that combines with the buttery smooth and endlessly detailed high end to make you fall in love with all your music all over again.

Oh yeah. and they go to sleep; the standby mode (rare these days, especially with a real amp bypass relay, which you can heard if you listen close) means you really never have to manage these; they turn themselves on when you play something, and back off 10 min or so after you’re done.

Perfect for smart assistants.

a. very reasonably priced having all great features including Aptx-HD b. Aptx-HD at 24-bit/192 kbs works great, you just need right streaming service to send (bluetooth /Airplay) the hi-res content to speakers c.

tested all inputs and they all work fine. Particularly Optical with TV and Bluetooth works great. Tested Chromecast, but I don’t need it w/ high quality streaming w/ AptX-HD built in. d. Overall sound quality is great, much better than JBL 3.

1 soundbar and Sonos Beam i tested with. (probably not as immersive as Atmos Speakers or surround speakers) e. Built-in Bass is very good, however i connected a cheap sub to process frequencies below 80Hz.

Overall combination sounds fantastic. f. Finally, I am have good ears for Country/Classic Rock/Classical/Easy listening type of music, but not expensive ears (so called audiophile), with that being said, these are a very good execution from Monoprice Team.

Currently using it for TV and Streaming music, these sound GREAT in both combinations. Since i only paid ~$200, cant complain much, but remote can have some improvements and/or possibly an App in the future would be great.

I purchased these speakers because I wanted some better desktop speakers, and I decided to spend a little more on them so I didn’t get cheap, tinny sound from my computer. I am actually impressed by the quality of these.

Are they as good as high end speakers or production near-field monitors? Of course not, but for listening to audio on your computer, they sound great. Why three stars?? One of the MAJOR fallbacks (and, honestly, I can NOT understand why they did this) is the lack of headphone output for private listening.

There is NO ability to plug in headphones. Before I wrote this review, I realized that these speakers are bluetooth, so I thought, maybe I just overlooked the ability to connect BT headphones to this.

When I tried connecting my earbuds to these speakers, I realized. they are input-only. You can connect any bluetooth device TO these speakers, but you CAN’T connect an output device to them. Makes sense, sort of.

EXCEPT the fact that you can never set these to private headphone only listening. That is why this product only gets three stars. If you DON’T ever need headphone out (Or don’t mind unplugging the speakers from your computer and plugging headphones in), then these are great speakers.

However, if you want the option to listen privately when you want to. look for something else.

These are the most expensive speakers I’ve ever owned. Got them when one of my 5. 1 speakers either failed or came disconnected, it would be too hard to get to if it had. So intended as a long term buy.

I’ve used them over my motherboards optical connection and on my current usb, device manager doesn’t seem to know what they are over usb but they work great and sound is superb either way. Just remember on usb to reboot your system to get sound working and using your fastest usb 3 port works best.

The annoyance is the remote control. It feels like quality for a small round device it has some real weight but it is short ranged, but that’s not my issue. Where the annoyance comes in is the coin type battery it uses, mine won’t go in flat, which means I can’t put the battery cover on flat and secure.

Last night I accidentally put my hand on the remote making it jump and the back piece and cell flew out and it takes several attempts to get the cell connecting again. Not the first time the backs come off either about the third I think.

Currently put it on a non-slip pad and trying to operate a no moving policy from now on. Just a silly problem to have with an otherwise superb product, they even come with every cable you should need.

I wanted to replace my old Bose computer speakers. I was never happy with their somewhat boomy and constricted sound, but limited desk space also limited my choices until Bluetooth came along. I listen to a wide variety of music, but classical—particularly orchestral—is my acid test for speakers.

I’m very pleased with these: the sound is balanced, accurate, and spacious. I use them in a smallish home office (about 10X12), and they fill the room nicely. There’s a subwoofer connection, but I don’t think I’ll be needing it.

Another big plus for me is the manual tone controls. It would have been nice to have them on the remote, because I put the speakers behind me high up on a shelf, but that’s a very minor quibble.

For audio equipment, especially speakers, I usually don’t end up rating 5 stars. These deserve it! I’ll start where it matters; the sound. The lows are clear, deep, undistorted, and you can feel it if you turn the bass up.

The rest of the sound range is also amazing for drivers of this size, and crystal clear. The tweeters help with the highs to bring some extra crispness to the sound. These sound more expensive than they are, not that they’re cheap, but you get the point.

Definitely better sound quality than the Logitech speakers, to me at least. And better than Bose as well. If you want a rival to compare it to, look to Klipsch. Games sound great on them, too. For the rest, they look great with the wood grain finish.

Definitely more pleasant than plastic or that weird silver-over-particle-board stuff. The knobs on the side of the right speaker feel heavy in a good, well made way. Yes, the cables and connections are unconventional.

That’s okay! If you need to extend the one that has the connector that looks like a VGA cable, you can! Get yourself a VGA monitor cable and a coupler – not kidding – and boom, you have some extra length! The subwoofer is large, so plan for that.

It’s a “normal sized” subwoofer, like you’d have for a home stereo system. Not incredible common for computer speakers, but you can’t argue the sound. The remote is nice, and allows you to select different inputs, volume, and you can pause, play, or skip when using bluetooth – a very welcomed surprise! By the way, they sound great using bluetooth.

My only complaint is that the remote is round, so in the dark, it can take a second to be sure it’s pointing the right way. Overall, if you’re looking at computer speakers, or even home theater speakers in this price range, these are it.

You may even be happy if you planned on spending more. Well worth it!.

Excellent sound. With bass & treble softened the mid rage is excellent for clarity of speech. Ordinarily I like strong bass for music or movies but for my current use (listening to people with language issues, slurred or mumbled) this superb – heard and shoulders above every thing else I tried.

If I were to do it again I would probably get it without the subwoofer – I’m sure i’d get enough bass out of the R&L side speakers alone. I did find set up difficult & instructions minimal and poor. Bluetooth pairing poor: speakers were hard connect to.

They often did not show up on the Blue Tooth add screen. The instructions to make them “discoverable” were vague. Even when you got them discoverable, it takes along time to show up & you get “device not Responding” frequently when trying to pair.

They seem do do fine once paired unless you try to switch devices using them – they pairing again cumbersome – not an easy switch back and forth. Overall excellent speakers but expensive and a bit difficult to manage.

There is a saying about things being too good to be true, and that’s what this is. For an entry level product, it stands at the top in my mind. You have more connectivity options than most standalone DACs, all of which work quite easily.

Speakers sounds great, if a little distant in the mids, but for this price, you get a quality that you don’t get with the other usual suspects (Creative, Logitech, Corsair etc). There’s actual thought to the tuning to make it both an excellent music listening and movie watching experience.

The sub doesn’t go super low, but that’s to be expected. Whilst it barely plays 30 below, above that it’s quite authoritive, but the usual suspects probably beat it in quantity, but not so much quality wise.

So, if you want to start your journey on good speakers with more connectivity options than the competition, this is the way to go. Unfortunately, there’s one dealbreaker for me and for some reason it’s not well reported.

This unit and other units Edifier makes (including the 351 which is the newer revision) is plagued with an amp that makes a high pitched whining sound when no audio is playing. This can be heard when your room is silent (if you have a fan on, you won’t hear it over the fan).

At first you don’t really notice it, but after a while it gets very annoying. “But what about the digital inputs?” No. Sorry, it plagues those too, but only when you actually connect a source to it, otherwise they stay silent.

Now, if you’re CONSTANTLY listening to sound (which is highly unlikely), then you’re fine, or, you can manually turn off the unit every time you stop listening to music/sound (switches on and off quite fast), or, you can make your room’s noise floor higher than the whine (a fan, open some windows if you’re near a road etc).

So overall, I still recommend it for entry level users and those who can drown out / not hear the high pitched whine as connectivity and sound quality at this price point is awesome. I’ve already done entry level and have jumped into midfi (Klipsch RP-500M + SVS PB-1000 + Emotiva BasX + MiniDSP + my already owned Ifi iDSD Micro Black Label) which of course is in a different stratosphere, but cost almost TEN TIMES the amount AND I don’t have Bluetooth 🙂 So yeah.

Anyway, BE WEARY of this issue if you are a critical listener, it will destroy your relationship with this other amazing value for money unit.

This speaker amplifies the tones of our TV, allowing my hearing impaired husband to be able to watch movies again! He is so happy that I got it for him. I purchased another system from another company first and that one didn’t help at all.

It was returned and I purchased this one. I wasn’t really expecting it to work much better since it was about $50 cheaper than the first one, but my husband was withdrawing from watching tv with me because he couldn’t hear the words any longer.

I tried this as a last ditch effort to be able to enjoy tv in the evenings again with him. To my surprise, it worked GREAT! I’m so glad that I purchased this speaker amplifier from Sharper Image!.

This is truly a great product. I had read many reviews for numerous products from other companies. Sharper Image has always had a good reputation. This product is perfect for older adults who need a bit of assistance hearing movies and other TV shows.

Easy to install. Can be picked up and brought right to your chair or next to your bed. Do not have to have your volume way up. No headphones or ear buds. Good price. Bought a 2nd one after the first which was a gift from my son and am so pleased.

My 89 year old mother is deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other. She lives with us and blasts the sound to watch her TV shows. I have a headache by the evening. Headsets or earbuds are too confusing and annoying to her so the speaker that sits next to her good ear, and my TV on mute, is a godsend!! The speaker has a dial for volume similar to a radio, which she is familiar with.

I’m so thankful Sharper Image makes this product. I charge the speaker in the evening on the base which is connected to our Smart TV. Worth every penny!!!.

Sound bar was never expected to give booming, theatre quality surround sound. For that, a much more expensive system would be needed. It is supposed to give a better quality and range of sound, than your typical television set will provide.

In that regard, it does succeed. My biggest problem with the sound bar is that it often will not operate at all. The power comes on, but no sound comes out. I’ve had to try rebooting several times, but often end up having to use my TV’s speakers.

One “workaround ” that sometimes works, is to pull the optical sound cable out of it’s plug and reinsert. Don’t know if I have a lemon or if this is a common flaw, but it shouldn’t be this hard to get it to work.

When it is working, however, it gives noticeably better sound.

Although I agreed with good design. It lacks its own power button. When you engage the extra base or dialogue mode I do wish that it shows it being engaged. Theres a led that does flash and stay on for a moment but, would be nice if it stayed just so you do know its engaged.

This isnt really a big deal though but, would be great to have a power and volume control on the bar just incase the remote gets damaged. I bought this because I really couldnt affird a bigger one at the yime but, for a small bar , it does sound really good.

I put it with my 75 inch Samsung tv and when you have a quiet scen, you don’t realize the impact it has when the action kicks in. Tried this first out on Lord of the rings and cranked it up. There’s a lot of slower , calmer and quieter scenes , but when the action picked up or with the fight scenes, I actually had to lower the volume.

It can get loud for tv. Never tried it for anything else. Going to get perhaps a 500 along with the subwoofer/ bass speaker when I gave a few bill taken care of. Do recommend this sound bar. You might want this more for smaller tvs as this is a smaller sound bar.

When I get a bigger sound bar this will go on a smaller Samsung we have as that tv really sounds flat. Which is amazing for a Samsung tv. For a larger tv and a larger room it still sounds good. Im not going to complain but, Im sure a bigger soundbar suits a bigger tv and room but, Im very happy with it.

I got an awesome deal on this product so that will influence my opinion compared with somebody who really forks out some cash. I like the design. Its fairly small. I have a 43 inch television and this tucks into the TV quite nicely.

The metal type build is quite nice. Its sleek, small and has a nice look to it. Besides its from Bose. What else to say. Now to the sound quality. If your looking for an awesome soundbar experience you won’t find it in this product.

Bose is well aware of the market. You get what you pay for. If you want added base, strong watts and all of that you will have to go up the price points like everybody else. If you want a soundbar with good sound and much better than TV sound this might be the soundbar for you.

This soundbar has really nice voice emphasis. There is a button on the remote that really enhances the voice quality. That is probably the best sound feature that I have noticed. If you are looking for extra base I think you will be disappointed.

It does emphasize base when you want to much better than your television and sounds quite good. It doesn’t come close to the upper tier soundbars that have the same feature. To conclude. This is a well made Bose soundbar that I would purchase again.

To me the price was the determining factor. Its well made, sounds much better than the TV sound and looks quite nice. I would recommend if price is important.
