20 Best Exhaust For Infiniti Q50 (2023 Updated)

This is a really mellow exhaust, at a slow crawl you get a nice beefy deep tone, and when you really lay into it on a on-ramp to the freeway you hear it. But over all it is quiet, no drone on the freeway.

It sounds way better then stock, but if you want to rev you engine and hear that exhaust sing, this isn’t it. But if you want some sound, and to sound like you have done some work to your Jeep, yet not bug all the parents in the drop off line at school, this is the one.

It may sound like I have mixed feelings, it’s because I do. I can feel the power difference for sure, I also did a AFE cold air intake at the same time and you can feel that beautiful combo working together! But I would have preferred a little more sound, on the flip side my wife loves it and being a family man a happy wife is a happy life!.

Exhaust arrived perfect condition but I had issues with two of the Clamps. I had to mod both to get them tight enough for my liking. I also don’t care how there is no lip for the hangers. That’s me being nit picky, it shifts a little more than I cared for.

Install is stupid easy compared to removing the old one. Just cut it, you’ll love the tone of the AFE, I can almost promise you. No lift for me, had I been able to get it in the air, I wouldn’t have had to cut it and the stock exhaust would still go to the scrap pile.

I am very happy with the tone and clearance.

This is my second aftermarket cat-back exhaust. First one was a little too obnoxious sounding for me. Plus, the sound never matched the speed of the vehicle. It sounded like you should be blasting off, but my jeep would be only running jeep speed.

This pipe looks cool, sounds better than stock, and the sound matches the actual performance of the jeep – If that makes sense. I’m happy over all with it. I already had my stock exhaust off so this only took about 30 min to slip on.

Biggest pain in the ass is the exhaust hangers. If I had it to do over I’d buy the correct tool to remove these. It took me about 30 min to get the stock exhaust off. I didn’t really notice a performance gain, so when it is all said and done this was purely for looks and sound.

I’m ok admitting that out loud.

Looks good has drone in cab. Almost louder than when windows are rolled down. Not sure how long I will keep it on due to cab noise. Good price however if I get something else then it was $$$ wasted.

As the title states it does sound good. It’s not obnoxiously loud, but it’s got a decent grumble especially when you start the motor, or when the annoying auto-start / stop idle does it’s thing. Almost difficult to hear in the cab at times.

No drone that I could complain about. I will say this. The retention clips that are supposed to go on the exhaust hangers are an absolute pain. I’ve yet to get them on. Tech support had zero good suggestions.

I think I’m going to find a different solution. Install tip: Removing the bumper steps makes getting the O. E. exhaust tips off easier. Cut the O. E. exhaust off behind the stock muffler to make removal easier.

Drop the spare tire and tire shield for easier access overall.

This was exactly what id hoped for. Then better some how lol. I really wanted something to add a little tone without being obnoxious. This sounds incredible on the 5. 3 Nice deep growl, and the sounds when the truck is down shifting to a red light? oh man, its like this deep low thunder just rumbles to a stop.

Ive never enjoyed the sound of one of my vehicles so much lol. Shop that installed said they’re about positive Flowmaster makes this for rough country based on a few things but who knows. Either way, highly recommend these.

This is my favorite mod to the truck so far.

Good points: fast delivery, good quality of the materials, fair price. Bad points : it needs a support in the meddle right before it split in two , it’s extremely difficult to place the pipes in the right direction.

I had to remove the spare tire and the tire protection in order to put the pipes in the right direction. Even after all that work the left side pipe ( driver side ) still rubbing against the tire protection.

I couldn’t find away to have it done properly. Lastly I had to remove my original crome tip and installed the black ones that came with the set. When using the original tips it sounds horrible.

I love the look, but is too loud. I wanted something with a slight rumble, but this thing is jack hammer loud. I called to see if they offered a different muffler that would quite it down slightly, and i was told to go to either flowmaster, or magnaflow cause they dont offer anything.

What i had to do was buy a longer muffler and add a resonator. Other than the look of the side exhaust, its not worth it. Dont make the same mistake i did.

I’m overall very happy with the style quality and install of this set up. My only complaint is the whistle sound at very high rpms when you get on it. Sounds like a turbo at the end of my exhaust. I YouTubed it and another guy had the same issue and shows it in a video.

The fix is to open up the adaptive flapper full time on it. I called MagnaFlow and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about along with “ you may have a leak somewhere”. Everything was tight and torqued to spec so defiantly knew that wasn’t it.

MagnaFlow should have a option to eliminate that flapper valve upon purchase. But I’m sure it’s on there for warranty reasons as the stock exhaust has one as well. Besides that it’s a great quality and breeze to Install.

The spring for the butterfly valve by the muffle vibrates, creating an annoying buzz. for a grand, I’d expect better. Also, shipped via FedEx, which just sucks in itself. Product was dropped off by mailbox on the highway where it easily could have grown legs and not by the garage or house.

Install was simple.

Easy to install – even one-handed like I did due to left arm injury, it was easy to install; sounds great; good quality; looks great!

I bought this to replace the OEM exhaust on my 2008 Tacoma with 87k miles. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and installation was easy. One thing I would recommend is to buy a vehicle specific exhaust bolt/spring kit and exhaust gasket at a local auto parts store.

This was NOT included in the package. I was lucky I did this before I attempted installation because I was not able to reuse the old hardware due to age and rust/corrosion.

I’ve had this for 3or 4 years and it’s still going strong, some discoloring but northeast winters are rough. It won’t turn your truck into a race car or sound like fighter jet but it gives it a some rumble and flow without any drone or obnoxious noise.

Brutal installation for one person. The two hangars that had to be installed didn’t have the correct hardware. I had to drill holes through the beam and install a 4″ long 5/16″ bolt to secure the hangar bracket.

There were no holes in the beam to install the clip nuts in. It is very difficult to align everything. I will need to go back today or tomorrow to tweak one side to get it exactly even with the other side.

I had the same issue with a 2005 Mustang Catback system which had less moving parts. To make matters worse, when the truck went to the Tuscany plant for all of their mods, they removed the factory hangars, one of which this system required, and they also removed part of the exhaust in front of factory muffler when they installed dual pipes.

I had to make a 19″ piece in front of this system’s first section. It sounds good but is much quieter than expected. Performance to be determined later.

I bought this since my old exhaust system has completely failed (was extremely annoying). I installed the new system yesterday myself. I put it up on the lift and pulled the old system off (hardest part), after that it was more like a puzzle putting the new pieces together just right.

I have it installed all the way back the the last tail pipes but didn’t install the tips since they suggest them being welded (per the instructions)though they do come with clamps. My first suggestion is when removing the old pipe and preparing for the new to go ahead and remove the bolts that hold the hangers to the frame, this makes things much easier.

Pros: **System is throaty and can be heard but is not very loud (makes pulling a boat nice). **installs with only minimal to moderate knowledge. ** The Wal-mart seller “Everything Automotive” sends it out pretty fast even though they don’t keep it stock.

Cons: **The tips seem cheaper since they give you “adjustable” tips. which means the pipe can slide all the way through it rather loosely. [welding them should help this]. **The two rear hangers on my ’09 do not match up with where they expect hangers to be which means I will have to drill 2 small holes in my frame to then bolt in the hanger.

We are an auto repair shop and install these at customer request. This kit was very difficult to install, even with every tool needed and with the vehicle on a lift. Instructions were not very clear on where to mount the brackets.

Removal of factory heat shield required to use those holes for the brackets. Intsall took over 2 hours to figure everything out. 2009 F-150 5. 4 Platinum CCSB.

Wasn’t sure which catback exhaust I wanted. I’ve had Flowmaster on my wrangler and the installation on this one sounded easy enough for me to do. So I bought this one and waited for the weather to get warmer outside.

Never happened though and some YouTube videos indicated having to cut the existing pipe on the truck. Well that was going to be too much for me. I’m not strong enough so I took my truck to a garage and he installed the exhaust system in 35 minutes.

And that was with some unexpected welding. Cost was 150. 00 and it sounds great. Looks awesome and the sound was alittle louder than I expected but not bad at all. Happy with my choice. Purchase and installation.

Easiest exhaust install I have done. Had old exhaust removed and replaced the n less than hour. Some wheel bases will require the intermediate pipe to be cut once. Fit perfectly. Slight rumble at idle.

Throaty on acceleration. Quiet at cruise. Only disadvantage is I now here my noisey tires lol.

This cat back system is just what I was looking for. High quality product, great sound and fit. It is not as loud inside my truck as another system I had installed on a previous truck. I would definitely recommend this system.

Installation was very easy.

Was disappointed to find out i needed to add 10 inches prior to muffler to make this kit work. Borla knows about the issue but don’t bother to tell anybody or offer an extension. Luckly you can cut out a piece from old system to make it work.

Jegs were great and plan to add a note for future buyers.

After many LOUD, POPPING, fire breathing, neighbor waking performance exhaust systems on previous trucks. I hate to admit I’m getting older. But not too old to want, no make that, need another quality exhaust system on my new Denali pickup.

So this system wasn’t going to be a fire breather for my older AARP ears. Enter the Borla Touring system. It def delivered the extra push back in the seat on the 6. 2 liter GM monster engine while creating the deep mellow bass rumble I was going for.

2018 GMC Sierra SLT Crew Cab Z71 6. 2L. Deep tone on idle and wakes up when you mash on it. They advertise no drone, and it does not in either mode (8 or 4) on the freeway at any speed/throttle position.

A little louder than stock in the cab with the windows up/closed, but the wife says minimal change. Fit and finish as advertised.

I actually bought this because of its price point. Yeah I could’ve bought just a muffler and threw under there but I figured I’d give this a shot. It’s actually for a crew cab/4 door and I have a regular cab with the 8 foot bed.

Had to cut 10 inches off the first piece that bolts on to the y-pipe coming off the headers. The hangers are all in the right spot but one of them isn’t bent enough to fit right. And if you do get it in there, it’s going up hill bad.

So I left it out. But the sound is perfect imho. Carid labeled this at a medium note. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the loudest, it’sa 5 or 6. Great rumble on my little GMC with the 4. 8. So yes I definitely recommend getting this unless you want so obnoxious sounding exhaust.

I was going to have a shop custom build some exhaust for my 05 Sierra Crew Cab but it was gonna cost me almost $500 so I did some shopping and found this full system way cheaper. I was looking for something that was a moderate tone as I have a child riding with me.

After a few hours of research I decided upon this kit and man, am I happy with it! It is the perfect little rumble without being obnoxious or even loud at all. The material is excellent quality and fitment is 95% accurate.

The second pipe before the muffler has a little too much bend making it a little stretch to reach the hanger and it was close to the driveshaft so I had to turn it down a bit but not noticeable with the truck sitting on the ground.

All the hardware came with and all the pipes fit together nicely. Took me about 20 minutes on a hoist. The description says this is 2. 5 inch but it is 3 inch pipe all the way. The tip is very sharp looking and a nice touch with the MBRP stamped in the stainless.

Perfect kit for the money I am suggesting this to my friends.

Had been doing research and looking at many different brands. Glad I chose this one. Fit perfectly and gives it a nice growl without being over powering. Love the new sound as it finally sounds like an 8 cyl.

Made with good quality material and comes with a nice chrome tip. Would definitely buy again when in the market.

I haven’t seen a review on here that does this axle-back justice, so here goes. Before we get into that though, just want to say that stating this muffler ‘is not too loud’ (as stated in most reviews) is a horrible misrepresentation of the product.

Both tone and volume are significantly and noticably different from stock. A more accurate statement is that the exhaust is not obnoxious. If you are holding off on buying this over concerns that it won’t be loud enough, then dismiss that concern and pull the trigger.

In fact if you have a convertible, I can guarantee you that you don’t want to go any louder. The tone is a low, rich bassy rumble. The sweet spot for the system is in the mid RPM range and the crackles it produces when you rev are eargasmic.

Pulls under bridges and overpasses are awesome! I don’t even listen to music when I drive anymore, I just enjoy the burble of the exhaust whether I am cruising around town or screaming down the highway.

I wouldn’t say the fitment was great, but it was workable. Passenger side was much easier than the driver side. On the driver side I needed to loosen up a bunch of connections and wiggle things around for a while.

After getting everything in place on the driver’s side I also had to go back and adjust a few times to keep the tip from resting on the bumper. For final thoughts I think supporting mods can also have a pretty big impact on individual experiences.

If you have already done some work to increase airflow into the engine (i. e. cai, headers, throttle body, etc. ) you will probably have better results than someone who slaps this on a bone stock car.

Overall, extremely satisfied. Would recommend to anyone looking to enhance their driving experience. My stang truly feels like a beast now.

The hardest part was removing the old exhaust system. There was a metal bracket that was keeping the exhaust hanger from complete removal. I had to snap off the bracket and once it was off, the hanger slid right off.

The MBRP exhaust system is light and very easy installation. I have a SuperCrew with short bed (5. 5) so I had to cut off a little bit of the mid-pipe as per instructions. The sound is nice, no drone.

Also I can tell the truck has more git up.

Wow. The 409 stainless XP cat back is such a great value. Installed it in less than an hour, including cutting out old exhaust. Had to cut one new pipe to fit per instructions, and the rest was bolt up and go.

Perfect fit. Looks great. Has a slightly louder idle, a much better rumble when you stomp on it, but going down the highway only ever so slightly louder than stock.

I replaced an aluminized Gibson exhaust with this because it rusted out after 90,000 miles. The sound of this exhaust is better than the Gibson and the fact that it is stainless steel gives me piece of mind.

I installed this on a 2006 Ford F-150 FX4 Super Crew with a 6. 5 foot bed. The install portion took 1 hour. Very pleased!.

Good quality, not overly aggressive sounding unless your hammering on it but it is a little loud in the cab of the truck. Nothing ridiculous, just a little louder than stock. Performance is good. I’d recommend it way over stock.

Good stuff. will fit every model of 2500HD, comes with a long head pipe that you cut to fit your body style, easy peasy.

Easy to install if you read the directions. Took me about a hour on the floor. Took longer to get the old one out then to install the new one. A little louder than I was going for, but has a nice tone.

You can’t tell a difference at idle which is great. Just load enough to make a middle age guy feel like a kid again. Only down fall was you can hear it in the cab. I would buy again.

Arrived quickly as usual from AutoAnything. Damage free in sturdy box. Install was quick and easy – let me tell you, the hardest part was cutting the old bolts to unhook the old system from the cat. Sounds nice with deep mellow tone.

I did not do any dyno, just swapped it to help in towing my travel trailer with a little HP and torque.

System came fast and in perfect condition. Warranty on this model is not so great on this item. Once received I noticed warranty was less than other systems as it did not cover surface rust that must be a problem on this model of exhaust.

Other systems from same company were covered. The old switch and bait. Hope system holds up as it was close to $500. 00. Online warranty is not completely explained. Other than warranty everything seems fine for now.

This is an excellent upgrade to any truck but this product not only sounds great but its all stainless and looks great. Chrome tips gleaming under the back bumper just says hell yeah !!!! Wouldnt hesitate to purchase again but its stainless so I wont have too !.

So, my story might be different than others. I didn’t purchase this because I was looking to mod my truck. I have a 2011 F-150 with 180K miles that has been through 9 NE Ohio Winters (hint, there are times my Race Red truck looked white).

The stock exhaust was missing the pipe between the resonator(or whatever that is called) and the muffler. I’m not a modder, I wasn’t looking for performance or sound other than it not sounding like it didn’t have a muffler.

I probably should have gone with a cheaper kit, but I wanted the stainless steel so that it wouldn’t rot out in one winter. It is installed, and seems to work, and seems to be stable. However, I had to buy new bolts for the flange, as the provided ones did not have enough thread to actually tighten down.

I had to reverse the hanger from the directions to actually align with my mounting points and get the pipes to actually fit together fully. This was my first time doing this, and I pulled it off, hopefully this thing doesn’t fall on the ground, because I barely got the hangers(other than the one on the muffler) into their slots, they don’t stick out much from the the other end.

Oh, at times it can sounds more like a Honda Civic than a F-150, but most of the time I really can’t hear it, which honestly, is what I want.

I was a little concerned about this system being too loud, but at $500 price point it was hard to pass up. Instalation was pretty straight foward and the sound was just what I wanted throaty but not too aggressive.

The kit fit well, aside from being beaten around in shipping and some straightening needed to done. Sound wise it was a slight more rumble around 1500 RPM. I already dpf deleted so the sound was already there, I just completed the 4″ back system.

It does appear to hang low at the pipe exit behind the wheel but it is in the hanger properly. The hanger that attaches to the clamp in a nightmare if installing by yourself.

Good product easy install and looks good. For $388 dollars to my door step I feel like you cant go wrong. Exhaust tip looks nice way better then stock. Almost no sound difference then stock very little performance gains but I am still smog compliant soooo.

To start- I did not use this as it was intended. I bought this to convert my 5. 7 Gas from factory duals to 3. 5″ single. And I am using it on a regular cab short bed 120″ wheelbase. The only issue with it where I cut of the adapter is a touch under sized, but that is on me not them.

Easy to install. bends are well done. Clamps are stout. Install would be simple on an Ecodiesel, Was still easy including my modifications.
